TAKING OVER THE PARTIES -- WHY NOT?

Maybe some of you can remember back when ABC, NBC & CBS were not owned by a multi-national conglomerate, our news was only a little slanted not twisted like it is today. In the early 80’s, some of you might recall that ABC was looking to buy an outlet called Capitol-Cities for around a mere $700 Million.

The bottom line was, Cap-Cities didn’t want to be taken over by ABC, what they did in response to ABC’s offer was raise the money needed to buy ABC, a company five times their size. At the time it was a huge thing. It’s time for another huge thing, and it can be done!

It has been said that the Republican Party is working to take over the Tea Party Movement. In this election year, the power base within both parties, Republicans and Democrats, are coming up for election as well, and you can become involved.

Inside these parties at the local level is the ‘Central Committee’. These are the very committees that vote on what platform, issues and candidates the party will endorse. Instead of the Tea Party Movement being taken over by either of these parties, members of the Tea Party Movement should be running for these Central Committee seats. Once we fill 60% of those seats, it would give a powerbase inside that party at a local level to change the direction of those County Parties and a start to taking our country back.

Within 4 years, we in fact could be determining which candidates get vetted for public office. By taking both parties, there would be no need for a 3rd party to split the vote. Gridlock might be broken. The Country might start to function like America once again.

But you have to run for these very important seats. Check with your county Registrar of Voters about what forms you will need to fill out and how many signatures you have to collect to make the ballot.

Just think, in a few short years, we might just be able to start getting the good people we need in office to restore the Constitution to what our Founding Fathers intended.

Please, let me know what you think about this or have to add to it.

Sincerely,

Brando Fontaine

  • This is certainly a good place to start, by taking over the precinct committees. However, you need to be aware that the candidates do not have to listen to you at all. In general your message will get through, so keep up the good fight. Just be aware that at times it may not seem that you are making any difference whatsoever. Also, be prepared for politicians to be politicians. A lady was talking yesterday on the radio, and very angry with Palin and Romney for supporting McCain over JD. Not that anger is necessarily a bad thing … a lot of good can come from being impassioned about something. However, I had anticipated this. In fact, I sent Romney an email back when he asked for contributions, stating basically no because it could go to McCain. People like Jon Kyl (the other senator from Arizona who I wholeheartedly support) support people who I do not, for instance, John McCain. Just be careful out there, and try to use the current passion that the voters have to weed out the people who have a record that does not hold up to the principles of this movement. Try not to be disillusioned by the politics of it.
  • You are precicely right Brando, thank you. Less than 1 in 400 people now participate in the caucus structure, stated anouther way 0.25% total for both major parties, or yet anouther way about 120 people per state house district. With these numbers in Minnesota we can control both parties as a movement. I use Minnesota obviously because it's my home state but you can work out these figures for your state as well. Your supporters are there it's just motivating them beyond the couch that is hard. The problem with this country lies in the disfunctioality of both major parties over "Roe V Wade". While I would like to support a third party, nothing viable is out there in time for this election so now that leaves only finding out which candidates are willing to bend in our direction in the upcoming election with a special emphisis on newcomers. The battle is going to be pulling in the straglers like GOOOH and the Constitution Party.
