Trump: Without Serious Changes, We’re Pulling Out of Iran Deal
by Andrew
{ conservativefreepress.com } ~ In a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week... President Trump reportedly said that unless our allies in the Iran nuclear deal were willing to make “significant changes” in the construct of the agreement, the U.S. would pull out of the deal altogether. According to Axios, two senior Israeli officials say that Netanyahu was promised that the U.S. would be inflexible when it came to negotiating with France, Germany, and the U.K. on the text of the contract. Until now, Trump told the Israeli prime minister, the other partner countries had only offered “cosmetic changes” to the agreement that he has not found acceptable. “The bottom line: Trump stressed that if his demands are not met,” reports Axios, “the U.S. will withdraw from the deal.”... http://www.conservativefreepress.com/foreign-policy/trump-without-serious-changes-pulling-iran-deal/ .
Trump Contemplating Replacing Shulkin with Perry
{ newsmax.com } ~ President Donald Trump is considering replacing embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin with Energy Secretary Rick Perry... A source familiar with the White House discussions tells The Associated Press that Trump has floated the notion of the Cabinet reshuffle as a way to right the ship at the VA, believing Shulkin has become a distraction to the department's work. The source was not authorized to discuss internal deliberations. Shulkin has faced several investigations over his travel and leadership of the department, but until now has received praise from the president for his work to turn around the department. The news comes after Trump's firing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Trump hosted Perry at the White House for lunch Monday, but no formal job offer was made, the source says... https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/veterans-affairs-david-shulkin-donald-trump-rick-perry/2018/03/13/id/848480/?ns_mail_uid=29878495&ns_mail_job=1783646_03142018&s=al&dkt_nbr=010504o3vzus .
Chemical Weapons Are Back, Thanks to Russia
by Judith Miller
{ city-journal.org } ~ Chemical weapons are back, and most of the egregious recent attacks bear Russian fingerprints... The weapon whose use resulted in the death of at least 90,000 soldiers in World War I and triggered a ban that endured for decades is increasingly being used as a weapon of assassination and terror. On Wednesday, British Prime Minister Theresa May, blaming Moscow for the March 4th attack in Salisbury which poisoned Sergei V. Skripal, a former Russian spy, and his adult daughter, announced sweeping sanctions against Russia. May announced that Britain is expelling 23 Russian diplomats—the single largest such expulsion since the end of the Cold War—and unveiled economic and diplomatic sanctions against Moscow, including the cancellation of all high-level bilateral contacts and asking Britain's royal family not attend the soccer World Cup in Russia. Although Russia has denied responsibility for the attack which has left the Skripals in critical condition and poisoned two first responders who helped them, May acted after Russia failed to respond adequately to her ultimatum earlier this week. On Monday, she said it was “highly likely” that Russia was responsible for either a “direct act of the Russian state against our country” or that Moscow had “lost control” of the “Novichuk,” a third generation nerve agent developed in the 1970s and 1980s, many times more lethal than anything then in America’s chemical arsenal... https://www.city-journal.org/html/chemical-weapons-are-back-thanks-russia-15766.html?utm_source=City+Journal+Update&utm_campaign=39ef6879ae-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_03_14&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_6c08930f2b-39ef6879ae-109328273.
EU: More Censorship to "Protect" You
by Judith Bergman
{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ On March 1, The European Commission -- the unelected executive branch of the European Union... told social media companies to remove illegal online terrorist content within an hour, or risk facing EU-wide legislation on the topic. The ultimatum was part of a new set of recommendations that will apply to all forms of "illegal content" online, "from terrorist content, incitement to hatred and violence, child sexual abuse material, counterfeit products and copyright infringement." The European Commission said, "Considering that terrorist content is most harmful in the first hours of its appearance online, all companies should remove such content within one hour from its referral as a general rule". While the one-hour ultimatum is ostensibly only about terrorist content, this is how the European Commission motivated the new recommendations... https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12010/eu-censorship .

liar-nObama Backed Off Putin's Election Meddling
by Political Editors: Did Barack liar-nObama order a “stand-down” to his intel chiefs stopping them from aggressively confronting the Russians and their interference campaign during the 2016 presidential election? A soon-to-be released book by Michael Isikoff and David Corn entitled Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump seems to be making this assertion. In released excerpts from their book, Isikoff and Corn write that when liar-nObama and company were first alerted to Russian election meddling efforts, they debated as to “how forcefully to respond.” Eventually the decision was made, as Isikoff and Corn explain, “It was a debate that would culminate that summer with a dramatic directive from liar-nObama’s national security adviser to the NSC (National Security Council) staffers developing aggressive proposals to strike back against the Russians: ‘Stand down.’”
The authors note that liar-nObama and company had essentially two separate Russia-related meddling problems. The first was the Russian hacking and leaking of documents and emails from the DNC and liar-Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and the second was a number of Russian cyberattacks on several states’ “election systems, particularly voter registration databases.” liar-nObama seemingly took the threat to states’ election systems as more of a concern but the solution sought was to increase federal government oversight of state elections — something that the states rightfully bristled against.
Never, it seems, was liar-nObama willing to go directly at the source of the problem: Russian President Vladimir Putin. Instead liar-nObama followed a similar pattern of “leading from behind,” or in reality not leading at all. In issuing the “stand-down” order, liar-nObama opted for the most part to ignore the Russian problem and assume, like much of the mainstream media, that liar-Clinton would win anyway. And, as Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey observes, “Had liar-nObama not been ‘standing down’ on Russia for practically the entirety of his presidency and openly mocking Republicans like Mitt Romney who correctly pointed out the threat they represented, he might not have been left with a bad hand in September 2016.” ~The Patriot Post
