Majority of Minorities Suffer No Discrimination
mRSymM_aG8sl_28GL7Gu-Czwzc0ZUSler1TeNA5aeqEWmVKTBeyGJ7i482XuC7k7w5SWi4BsEtudrCDgsCGBruy7KDpweN0NCaMajYiuH6wzrBpqnWPvYT8HRE9sxw4=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=
by Thomas Gallatin:  A recent study finds that only 25% of Americans say they have ever experienced discrimination. The study, conducted by Brian Boutwell, a criminology professor from Saint Louis University, surveyed 14,000 Americans across all racial backgrounds. He found that 27% of Hispanics, 31% of blacks, 23% of whites and 18% of Asians surveyed claimed to have experienced discrimination “sometimes” or “often.” The findings suggest that discrimination is less prevalent than is often assumed, especially in light of today’s polarized political climate and raging debate over DACA in particular.
Boutwell cautioned, “People have rightly pointed out that 25 percent of the population is a lot of people. That’s still millions of people. That’s far higher than what we’d like to see.” Most people surveyed believed that “race” was the largest motivating factor behind unfair treatment. Boutwell noted that another potentially growing factor may be political beliefs. He states, “If anyone feels that their political alignment creates blowback for them in daily life, that’s one possibility … a reasonable one, given the data on political polarization.”
Certainly Dennis Prager thinks this is true, writing, “Millions of Americans who hold conservative and/or pro-Trump views rationally fear ostracism by their peers, public humiliation, ruined reputations, broken families, job loss and the inability to work in their field. Under these circumstances, they have decided that coming out as conservative or pro-Trump is not worth the persecution they would endure.”
It’s also worth noting that surveys like this rely on data that is obtained via the subjective perception of individuals’ experiences. What someone perceives may not accurately reflect the reality of what they have experienced. However, contrary to what is preached by race hustlers and social justice warriors, America is a broadly accepting and Liberty-loving nation. Americans’ recent response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey typifies this spirit more than fascist malcontents rioting in the streets.  ~The Patriot Post

{rickwells.us} ~ Chris Farrell of Judicial Watch joined Lou Dobbs to discuss the liar-nObama regime criminals, starting off with his take on the issuance of subpoenas by the House Judiciary Committee... He says he’s usually a bit wary of the committee actions because they are generally just a lot of hot air and sound bites. He notes that they have a value in that they point to the larger question that Comey needs to be asked under oath “what he was doing with Steele and how much money they paid him to begin with.” He said, “I think the heart of the question that they’re getting at is good, I just wish that a law enforcement agency or the Department of Justice were the ones doing the drilling down because frankly, the committees don’t have the depth or the strength to really carry through on these very, very important issues.”...  http://rickwells.us/lou-dobbs-judiciary-subpoenas-signal-2nd-special-prosecutor-democrats/

Residents of Yarmouk line up to receive food supplies
by Khaled Abu Toameh
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ More than 1,600 Palestinians have gone missing in Syria, and hundreds have been killed, since the beginning of the civil war there. This is not the type of news that makes it to mainstream media in the West, however... To catch the eyes of the international community and media, Palestinians need to live in the West Bank, Gaza Strip or Jerusalem. These are the lucky Palestinians whose stories and plights are regularly covered by the international media. Why? Mostly because these are the Palestinians whose stories are often linked, directly and indirectly, to Israel. It is no secret that Western journalists and mainstream media outlets have developed an obsession with Israel. Everything that Israel does or does not do receives widespread coverage, especially if there is a way to blame Israel for inflicting suffering on the Palestinians...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10941/forgotten-palestinians

‘Worst Violation of Law We’ve Ever Seen’:
Plaintiff Reacts to NSA Ruling

{insider.foxnews.com} ~ Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon ruled that the NSA’s collection of phone records likely violates the Fourth Amendment... Larry Klayman, who brought the case to court, is happy with the ruling, but still not satisfied. He now wants to bring forth a class action suit to include the accounts of all Americans. “What we have here is the biggest violation of constitutional rights in American history.  It was Richard Nixon who broke into the Watergate office complex, one building, and had to resign from office. We have a president, President liar-nObama, and his enablers on Capitol Hill, Democrat and Republican, who’ve broken into nearly 300 million homes. This is the worst violation of law that we’ve ever seen,” Klayman said...  http:///2013/12/17/plaintiff-larry-klayman-reacts-judge%e2%80%99s-nsa-ruling

{frontpagemag.com} ~ Illegal aliens in Chicago don't have to fear being deported to Mexico. Instead they have to fear being shot on the street. Or being stuck in a failed state. On second thought, maybe Mexico would be an improvement... You have nothing to worry about, guys. You're in Chicago. The safest place on earth that doesn't have "Sudan" or "Iran" in its name. Rahm Emanuel won't let anyone deport you. However, if Chicago's financial situation becomes bad enough, he might sell you to China...  http://www.frontpagemag.com/point/267801/mayor-declares-bankrupt-murder-city-trump-free-daniel-greenfield

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ The House on Wednesday passed an $8 billion Hurricane Harvey relief package, sending it to the Senate where GOP leaders planned to attach a measure to increase the debt ceiling... The House passed the measure easily in a 419-3 vote. Only three Republicans voted against it in apparent protest of the lack of any spending cut offsets: Reps. Justin Amash of Michigan, Andy Biggs of Arizona and Tom Massie of Kentucky. House lawmakers approved the Harvey measure as the Federal Emergency Management Agency warned its disaster relief budget is about to run dry as it looks to aid people in flood-ravaged areas of Texas and Louisiana...  http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/house-approves-8-billion-harvey-aid-package/article/2633534?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20Breaking%20News&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20Breaking%20News%20-%2009/06/17&utm_medium=email

.THE INCORRIGIBLES
by Burt Prelutsky

I have no doubt that if I knew every member of the House and Senate personally, I’d like some of them. It would be unnatural that I would despise all 535 members of Congress. After all, they come from 50 different states. They have different hobbies and interests. I’m sure some of them enjoy old movies, mystery novels and agree that baseball is the greatest game ever invented.

So, to be fair, let’s say I’d probably only despise 530 of them.

On top of that, I can’t stand their boot-licking aides and I really hate the bureaucrats filling all those offices in our capital’s marble buildings.

In fact, if Kim Jong-un had threatened to bomb Washington instead of Guam, I probably would have double-Dutch-dared him to go ahead and try.

And believe me, I’m not just targeting the Democrats. Oh, sure, they’re even worse than the Republicans, but it’s just a matter of a few degrees, a difference without much of a distinction.

Consider if you will that Donald Trump won an historical election against all odds, and the Republicans, including those who owe their own victories to his coattails, have been pouting ever since. It’s bad enough that they have joined the chorus of Never-Trumpers who keep complaining that the president doesn’t act presidential as if they were all a bunch of prissy Emily Posts, gazing through their lorgnettes while muttering: “He’s so boorish,” “Lacks decorum,” “The man must have been raised in a barn.”

But what’s even worse is that these slackers have shown themselves to be a sleazy combination of incompetent and dishonest. For all their big talk, they haven’t repealed liar-nObamaCare, balanced the budget or built the Wall, but they continue to fund Planned Parenthood and will most likely pass legislation to provide amnesty for the so-called Dreamers.

The truth is that neither party wants to staunch the flow of illegal aliens into this country. The Democrats support illegal immigration because the trespassers are Hispanic, meaning that they’re essentially undocumented Democrats. The Republicans want them to keep coming because their major donors want an endless source of cheap labor.

Neither party gives a damn what harm is done to the country or to our own unskilled workers who are being undercut by this bi-partisan abdication of national sovereignty.

The politicians don’t care what happens to America, only what happens to them. So long as mediocrities like RINO-John McCain, Lindsey Graham, RINO-Jeff Flake and Paul Ryan, can keep posing as Republicans and getting re-elected, America can go hang.

These gutless wonders would rather see the nation go to blazes than pick up a copy of the NY Times or the Washington Post and find themselves described as xenophobic bigots, especially after they had someone on their staff define xenophobic for them.

They much prefer to stand before the TV cameras and spout some high-sounding guff about how we’ll all stand behind the victims of Hurricane Harvey, ignoring the fact that for the past 30 years they haven’t done a single thing to protect the towns, homes and livelihoods, of those same people from the millions of illiterate Muslims and Mexicans who had no more right than Harvey to flood our nation.

● I see that the same people who are all for burning cops like bacon object to the feds militarizing police departments by providing them with armored vehicles, grenade launchers, bayonets and large caliber ammo.

Frankly, I’d pass out a few guided missiles if that’s what it took to keep the barbarians at bay. But my question is why even give the cops handguns and billy clubs if they’re just going to stand around like a bunch of bumpkins when the rabble topple statues, deface monuments, desecrate cemeteries and riot in the streets?

● Some of the statues being toppled are those honoring Thomas Jefferson. That’s ostensibly because he owned slaves. But it’s really because he was white. After all, there were a lot of black people who owned slaves and you don’t hear anyone going around slandering their memory, and not one of them could point to a single accomplishment that matched a dozen of Jefferson’s. Heck, if you added them all up, they wouldn’t even come close.

This particular slave owner entered college at 16, by which time he could write in Greek with one hand while writing in Latin with the other.

At 23, he started his own law practice. At 25, he was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses. At 31, he wrote the widely read and influential “Summary View of the Rights of British America.”

But after squandering his youth on such frivolities, he finally got serious at 32, when he was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress. At 33, he wrote the Declaration of Independence. That same year, he began to revise Virginia’s legal code, wrote a Public Education Bill and a statute for Religious Freedom.

At 36, he was elected governor of Virginia, succeeding Patrick Henry.

At 40, he served in Congress. At 41, he was the American minister to France and negotiated commercial treaties with other European nations.

At 46, he served as Secretary of State under George Washington.

At 53, he served as Vice President and was elected President of the American Philosophical Society.

At 55, he became the active head of the Republican Party.

Two years later, he was elected the third President of the United States.

At 60, he made the deal with France known as the Louisiana Purchase, doubling the size of the nation and still found the time to create the Marine Corps to deal with the Barbary Pirates. At 61, he was re-elected President.

At 65, he retired to Monticello, the classically beautiful home he had personally designed.

I suppose after a while, the novelty of whipping the slaves began to pall, because at the age of 80, he helped President Monroe draft the Monroe Doctrine.

At 81, he created the University of Virginia and served as its first President.

At the age of 83, he died on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as did John Adams.

Jefferson was a man of many words and, as is rarely true of politicians, his made sense when he wrote and spoke them, and 200 years later they still do:

“When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt at Europe.”

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.”

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

“My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.”

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

“To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.”

One evening, when he was hosting a dinner at the White House for a group of intellectuals, President Kennedy said: “This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in this room, with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined here alone.”

Knowing a little something about intellectuals and about John F. Kennedy, the guests probably felt they had just been insulted and JFK felt he was being far too modest.

But Jefferson was that brilliant and accomplished, and those who condemn him as a slave holder and demand that his statues be removed from wherever they stand couldn’t scale his boot top with a stepladder.

● Every so often when liberals receive a tongue-lashing from President Trump, they cast themselves as the injured party and begin calling for more civility in our political discourse. But like the worst sort of egotistical actors, they simply can’t read the lines as written.

So, in fairly short order, we had Carl “All the President’s Men” Bernstein calling Trump a “neo-fascist” and a “sociopath.”

Keith Olbermann decided that Trump was not only “scum of the earth,” but another in a line of despots that included “Saddam Hussein, Mussolini, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse-tung, Stalin, Pol Pot, bin Laden and Hitler.”

Monisha Rajesh, a writer for Britain’s left-wing Guardian decided that “it’s time for a presidential assassination.”

Rosie O’Donnell has suggested someone invent an action game in which participants pushed President Trump off a cliff.

Johnny Depp mused: “How long has it been since an actor assassinated a president?  It’s been a while, and maybe it’s time.”

Rob Reiner, who was typecast as Meathead on “All in the Family,” has called Trump “a lunatic,” “insane,” “unstable,” “a pathological liar” and that old standby, “a racist.”

I’m sure that even the black state senator who called for Trump’s assassination didn’t warrant a sit-down with the Secret Service. But, then, neither did Madonna when she fantasized on Inauguration Day about blowing up the Trump White House.

But that’s probably just as well. The way that the FBI and the Justice Department have been embarrassing themselves for the past several years, I suspect the Secret Service agents would have wound up asking Madonna for her autograph and taking selfies with the aging diva.
