Germany: Asylum for Cash Scandal

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ Germany's Federal Office for Refugees and Migration (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge, BAMF)... will review more than 25,000 asylum decisions after allegations of corruption at its regional office in the northern city of Bremen. Interior Minister Horst Seehofer announced the audit after it emerged that a former official at BAMF's Bremen branch allegedly accepted cash bribes in exchange for granting asylum to at least 1,200 refugees who did not meet the necessary criteria. Five others, including three lawyers, an interpreter and an intermediary, are also being investigated. The three lawyers allegedly received cash payments from "refugees" across Germany and submitted their asylum applications to the Bremen office. The interpreter then "interpreted" asylum interviews in such a way that the answers supposedly given by refugees matched the requirements for successful asylum applications. Trump suggests historic summit with North Korea could be delayed

{ foxnews.com } ~ President Trump on Tuesday suggested the historic summit between him and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un could be delayed... past the scheduled date of June 12 in Singapore, amid threats from the rogue regime to cancel talks after U.S.-South Korean military exercises. The president’s comments came during an Oval Office meeting with visiting South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The two leaders discussed a strategy for denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and Trump’s potential upcoming summit with Kim. “If it doesn’t happen, maybe it will happen later. You never know about deals. I’ve made a lot of deals, you never really know,” Trump said about the summit. “It may not work out for June 12.”....

{ dailycaller.com } ~ CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin and Harvard professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz went head to head... over the FBI allegedly spying on the Trump campaign on “Anderson Cooper 360” Monday. “I have to tell you, if this had happened to liar-Hillary Clinton, the ACLU would be jumping up and down the way they did when I was on the board of the ACLU, when undercover agents were put into the anti-war movement, into Civil Rights movement,” Dershowitz said. “All they were there was to listen–into Muslim churches. Civil libertarians are generally a little bit suspicious when undercover agents go ‘just to ask questions.’ And I think we as civil libertarians ought to be suspicious of this. Anni should take pride, of course, in these kind of attacks by these vile forces, since they confirm that she is doing something very right and humane -- and effectively so. Anni was recently invited to the Henry Monsky Lodge of B’nai B’rith in Omaha, Nebraska, to talk about Sharia Law and how she survived it. At the end of her talk, a leftist by the name of Steve, who described himself as a “lawyer,” attacked Anni with the preferred Jihad Denial slanders and accused her of preaching “hatred.” His intriguing performance was caught on video -- As it quickly became evident, Anni takes no prisoners when confronted with ignorance and she wiped the floor with Steve -- just as she recently did with an Antifa “feminist.”....
Avenatti Law Firm Ordered to Pay $10 Million to Former Partner

{ nationalreview.com } ~ Michael Avenatti’s law firm was ordered Tuesday to pay $10 million to a former partner... who sued after the firm missed the first installment of a payment owed to him under a bankruptcy settlement reached in January, the Los Angeles Times reports. As part of the bankruptcy settlement, Avenatti agreed to pay $4.85 million to Jason Frank — a former lawyer at his Newport Beach firm — but did not complete the first $2 million installment, which he personally guaranteed would be paid by last week, according to a lawsuit Frank filed earlier this month in California Superior Court. The Justice Department revealed during the Tuesday hearing that Avenatti also defaulted on $2.4 million in back taxes he personally owed under a separate bankruptcy settlement. Avenatti, who has paid $1.5 million of the total, has blamed the unpaid taxes on an unnamed payroll company...Trump's Not Messing Around With MS-13 'Animals'
by Nate Jackson: The Leftmedia went out of its way to peddle a BIG Lie about Donald Trump and immigration last week — that he called all illegal aliens “animals” instead of simply the violent thugs of the MS-13 gang. Never one to shy away from a fight, Trump issued a White House statement yesterday titled “What You Need To Know About The Violent Animals Of MS-13.” Trump’s statement recounts numerous incidents of “unthinkable violence of MS-13’s animals.” And he’s right — their crimes include decapitation, dismemberment and savage beatings and stabbings. “President Trump’s entire Administration is working tirelessly to bring these violent animals to justice,” the statement concludes.
Politically, this accomplishes two things beyond sending a message of law and order to illegal alien thugs. It reassures Trump’s base that he’s serious about addressing the worst elements among immigrants. And it also fires a shot across the Leftmedia’s bow that Trump won’t be intimidated by lies meant to “prove” his supposed racism. “I referred to them as animals,” he said later, “and guess what? I always will.”
Dennis Prager gets to the bottom of the issue, “Biologically, of course, we are all human. But if ‘human’ is to mean anything moral — anything beyond the purely biological — then some people who have committed particularly heinous acts of evil against other human beings are not to be considered human. Otherwise ‘human’ has no moral being.”
