According to Pruitt during a recent visit to Nashville, “The level of protection I have is dictated by the level of threat. … Unfortunately, we’ve had unprecedented threat levels, which has necessitated unprecedented levels of protection.” Citing the security detail’s $2 million price tag, one Nashville televisions station amusingly complained, “Some lawmakers are wondering if it’s a little too much.” They’ve apparently never witnessed the ferocity of so-called peace and harmony-loving environmentalists.
No doubt the ones providing death threats are some of the same ecoterrorists who protested the Dakota Access Pipeline in Iowa and South and North Dakota, wreaking millions of dollars’ worth of damage. And that was in addition to the theatrics they imposed on Keystone XL. Both pipelines weren’t just politically targeted by the liar-nObama administration; they and the land they reside on were trashed and blockaded by angry zealots masquerading as “protesters.”
Pruitt’s predecessor, Gina McCarthy, didn’t need an inordinate level of protection because she was on their side. Moreover, most conservatives don’t respond to policies with which they disagree by engaging in reprehensible antics. The ecoterrorists’ own actions provide Pruitt ample reason for taking measures to mitigate the threat these arsonists pose. ~The Patriot Post

.
I recently shared an exchange I had with Frank, my former agent, a guy I know and like despite his loony liberalism. But since then, I have heard from a liberal, Dave Wells, whom I don’t know and whom I assume I wouldn’t like. Apparently, one of my subscribers decided to share “Arguing with Liberals” in order to provoke Mr. Wells. It seems to have worked.
Mr. Wells opened with “Nice job, Bert. You denigrated liar-nObama as ‘gay’ on your evidence that he was alone with an old friend! I’ve got to remember to be not without talky witnesses when next I meet alone with combat brothers and Christian brothers…and even my gay friends from Hollywood 70 years ago, or Bert will get me!”
I replied: If that were all of it, I would concede your point. But I think it’s obvious that, like my friend Frank, you carefully cherry-picked my argument in order to appear reasonable and fair-minded. You ignored all the other stuff, such as the fact that no woman ever stepped forward to cash in on having dated liar-nObama in all the years leading up to his marriage. What never fails to astonish me is how defensive liberals get when one of their favorites is outed, even though they tend to celebrate homosexuality and argue for same-sex marriages. It’s almost as if they’re saying it’s a wonderful way to be, but don’t you conservatives ever dare accuse any of us of being that way.
“And,” he continued, “running throughout your rambling and verbose report is a desperate cry for appealing to the vitriolic side of your devout followers! It’s time, Bart, to give up your tough guy hyperbole about the Americans to your left.”
My name is Burt, not Bert or Bart. Tough guy? You believe being truthful is the same as being tough? If so, that’s your problem, Dave, not mine.
“All we need is courteous discourse and a positive move away from Trump’s divisiveness. You can check the gay former president liar-nObama’s call for that yesterday.”
Easy for liar-nObama to make such a self-serving statement, Dave, but it’s totally different from the way he behaved as president. Or have you already forgotten his “unifying” advice to Republicans to sit down, shut up and get out of the way?
“Oh, and Bertram, my hero, President George W. Bush made the same gay comments yesterday. Here’s to real ‘evidence’ and valid ‘conclusions’ in your future.”
Gay comments? Your irony creaks like the rusty doors on an old deserted cabin. Still, doesn’t it strike you as odd that Bush, who received kudos for remaining silent through eight years of Operation Fast & Furious, Solyndra, a trillion dollar “stimulus,” red lines drawn with invisible ink, a corrupt Justice Department, liar-nObamaCare and the Iran nuclear deal, is suddenly shooting off his mouth about Trump? Could it possibly be that he resents the man who ended the Bush dynasty by defeating brother Jeb in the primaries more than he resents the man who made America the world’s patsy?
He signed off as Dave Wells, another “moderate.”
Another moderate what? Sincerely, Burt
● Speaking of which, I am beginning to think that Jimmy Carter, who, once upon a time, appeared to be on the verge of retiring the title of the worst ex-president in American history, has already lost the title to liar-nObama and is now fighting it out for second place with George W. Bush.
I mean, how dare George W. falsely accuse Donald Trump of fomenting white supremacy when he never uttered a word about liar-nObama’s fomenting black supremacy?
Nor did he ever condemn Secretary of State liar-Hillary Clinton for turning over 20% of America’s uranium reserves to Russia in exchange for a $135 million bribe to the liar-Clinton Foundation.
His moral outrage is beginning to reek as badly as his presidency.
● How is it that Jesus Campos, the security guard at the Mandalay Hotel, who canceled appearances with Sean Hannity and others, and then went missing, suddenly popped up on “Ellen”? And how is it she referred to him as a “hero who saved so many lives” when he had done nothing even slightly heroic? Getting shot in the leg isn’t heroic unless you’re shot while trying to save or rescue others, which he wasn’t. Otherwise, you’re merely a victim.
Could it be that because MGM not only owns the hotel, but Ellen DeGeneres’s TV show, and is facing so many multi-million-dollar lawsuits, that they’re trying to promote a phony narrative? Or perhaps it’s just a coincidence that Mr. Campos is being treated like someone in the Federal Witness Program. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has already been renamed John Smith and is currently living in Winterset, Iowa, where he is the proprietor of the local hardware store.
● Russ Mothershed of Nashville, Tennessee, claims that when asked how Harvey Weinstein’s behavior compared to her husband’s, liar-Hillary Clinton replied: “Close, but no cigar.”
● We keep hearing the Democrats and a few too many Republicans in Congress repeat the lie that if the Affordable Care Act is allowed to die of natural causes, 24 million Americans will lose their health care. But how can that be when only eight million Americans have signed up for it?
And at what point did the federal government decide that it was essential to give poor people the elevator even if it meant giving the middleclass the shaft?
● Hardly a day goes by that we don’t hear about people dying because of the so-called opioid epidemic. The number of fatalities currently being tossed around is 65,000-a-year. What we never hear is a breakdown of that number. How many people have become addicted to prescription drugs through no fault of their own and how many are what we used to call drug addicts, the sort who are not dealing with post-surgery pain, but simply enjoy getting stoned on heroin and cocaine?
By lumping the two groups together, politicians and the media hope to convince us that the problem is one thing when, in reality, it might very well be another. I am reminded of the campaign in the 80s and 90s to make us believe that heterosexuals were as likely to contract AIDS as promiscuous homosexuals and needle-sharing drug addicts.
● I just recently discovered that Puerto Ricans do not pay federal income taxes. So, why are they entitled to a tax-funded recovery? I don’t personally object to giving them a helping hand in the wake of the horrific hurricanes. We do it for foreign nations all the time; far too often in my opinion, for the likes of Haiti.
But isn’t it way past time for us to cut Puerto Rico loose, and let the island become a sovereign nation? Why would we even want to appear to be a colonial power, however benevolent we might be? Even France, Britain, Spain and Holland, gave up the ghost a while back, and it’s time we followed suit.
● Rep. Frederica Wilson (D, FL) took strong exception to the condolence call President Trump made to the widow of a black soldier who was killed during an ambush in Niger.
Although it wasn’t fatal, I would say that Trump, too, was the victim of an ambush. After all, why would a widow allow a politician to listen in on a personal phone call unless she was a Never-Trumper looking to do whatever she could to embarrass the man?
Whatever one might think of the President, it’s beyond absurd to believe he would say or do anything disrespectful where a dead American soldier was concerned.
But that didn’t stop the CNN and MSNBC pundits from parroting the ugly comments of Rep. Wilson, who makes a mockery of her position by wearing a series of glitzy cowboy hats to work. All hat and no cattle, as they say in Texas.
● Just when you think that large numbers of people couldn’t get any stupider and less responsible even if that was their goal, you get word that a record number of calls were made to 911 when these numbskulls lost temporary access to Facebook.
You have to wonder if these morons also call the emergency number to report they got a side of coleslaw when they swear they ordered fries.
● Subscriber Suzan Reiner of Escondido, California, felt moved to share a bit of philosophical wisdom she once heard delivered at a high school awards ceremony: “It just goes to show that things work out best for those who make the best of how things work out.”
