Democrats Reload on Ammo Ban
After 90,000 comments and condemnation from congressional Republicans, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives backed away from its proposal to ban the 5.56 M855 "green tip" ammunition. But congressional Democrats have taken the idea, expanded the breadth of the proposed ammo ban, and run with it. In a letter to the ATF, Democrats encourage the bureau to move fast and use its "existing authority" to limit any rifle cartridge that can be fired from a handgun. Democrats wrote, "We hope that the Bureau will swiftly review comments on the proposed framework and issue a revised proposal that will address the danger posed by handguns that fire 5.56mm and other rifle ammunition." They have introduced legislation in the House to ban the green-tipped rounds, and Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) said she would introduced a broader bill to ban even more forms of armor-piercing ammunition. Because cops wear light body armor and there are some unique pistols out there (Thompson Contender pistol chambered in 30-30, anybody?), Democrats are opening the door for potentially banning all center-fire rounds. And the ATF welcomes this lobbying. Its director, B. Todd Jones, said "any 5.56 round" threatens the safety of police officers -- a distorted fear if ever there was one. -The Patriot Post
Nobody Even Read Hilly's Deleted Emails

Nobody Even Read Hilly's Deleted Emails
Hilly Clinton deleted her "personal" emails wholesale -- without so much as reading them first. Fox News' Chris Stirewalt writes, "How did Hilly Clinton know that the tens of thousands of emails from her time in office she ordered destroyed were personal? Did she or even her staff scroll through her sent items scanning emails about 'yoga routines' or 'family vacations' before deleting them? Nope. No one looked at them. The Clinton campaign said those emails that did not crop up in a keyword search performed by her team were automatically deleted. No eyes. No one to be subpoenaed. Just highlight all and press delete. That method seems better for missing emails than to finding them. And it would sound reckless and haphazard coming from another politician. In this case, though, it sounds like a woman covering her tracks in preparation for a long and bloody legal fight over subpoenas to come." The story isn't going to go away just because Clinton hit the delete key. More... -The Patriot Post

Did Hilly Commit a Felony?
Hilly Clinton's email scandal continues to yield serious questions. According to The Washington Examiner, "Clinton, like all departing federal employees, was required to fill out and sign a separation statement [Form OF-109] affirming that she had turned over all classified and other government documents, including all emails dealing with official business." Did Clinton sign the form? The State Department refuses to say just yet. If not, why not? And if so, did she commit a felony? "There's no question" she did, says Shannen Coffin, former counsel to Dick Cheney. "There's no doubt ... that wherever the secretary had those records -- if she had them in her Chappaqua home, if she had them in her office, if she had them somewhere else -- she's got to bring all of the records to the table, and turn over any official records at the time of her departure," Coffin said. "Not -- most definitely not -- two years later." He added, "The form itself says, 'Hey, before you sign this, understand that you are certifying something that we can prosecute you for. Making a false statement in this context, knowingly and willfully' -- which, I can't imagine anything more knowing and willful than knowing you have 55,000 records sitting in your home -- 'if you do that, it is a felony.'" Clinton's flippant dismissal of questions at her Tuesday press conference left many things unanswered. And she's looking worse all the time. -The Patriot Post

Don't Mess Up the Ferguson Narrative
Barack nObama swapped jokes with ABC's Jimmy Kimmel last night, laughing it up at the expense of a few million bucks in taxpayer-funded security. But he also turned to a serious note, speaking about the two police officers shot in Ferguson. He extended brief condolences to the wounded officers and their families before launching into predictable race-bait. "[W]hat had been happening in Ferguson was oppressive and objectionable and was worthy of protest," nObama asserted. "But there was no excuse for criminal acts. And whoever fired those shots shouldn't detract from the issue. They're criminals, they need to be arrested." He later added, "[T]here was a whole structure there, according to the Justice Department report, that indicated both racism and just a disregard for what law enforcement's supposed to do. As I've said before ... it is not unique, but it's also not the norm." nObama isn't directly responsible for the actions of the criminal who fired on police, but he isn't helping the situation either. It is not appropriate for the leader of this country to repeatedly tell angry rioters and looters they have perfectly legitimate grievances against racist cops. But that's why you don't put a community organizer in the White House. -The Patriot Post

Holder Says Ferguson Shooter Was a 'Damn Punk'
Attorney General Eric Holder responded quickly to news that two Ferguson police officers were shot Wednesday night during a round of protests. "What happened last night was a pure ambush," Holder said. "This was not someone trying to bring healing to Ferguson. This was a damn punk -- a punk -- who was trying to sow discord in an area that is trying to get its act together, and trying to bring together a community that has been fractured for too long." He continued, "This really disgusting and cowardly attack might've been intended to unravel any sense of progress that exists, but I hope that that does not happen." He's right about a punk not trying to bring healing. But Holder's Justice Department just released a report finding generally racist practices in the Ferguson Police Department, and Holder has spent the better part of a year blasting racist police. Forgive us for thinking he -- like his boss -- sounds a bit more concerned about damage to the narrative than the lives of the officers. -The Patriot Post

Iran Instructs U.S. to Bypass Congress on Deal, Go to U.N.
(Adam Kredo) - The Iranian government is urging the United States to go straight to the United Nations to finalize any agreement reached in the coming weeks regarding Tehran’s contested nuclear program without seeking congressional approval...Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister and top negotiator, suggested in a recent interview that the U.N. Security Council should be responsible for approving any agreement reached between Western powers and Tehran over its nuclear program, a proposal that the nObama administration entertained on Thursday. The State Department argues that a nonbinding agreement with Iran—one that would not be subject to congressional oversight or approval—could be more enforceable due to the removal of opposition by a majority of Republican lawmakers to a deal. http://freebeacon.com/issues/iran-instructs-u-s-to-bypass-congress-on-deal-go-to-u-n/

Bumbling Bob Schieffer Bit Off More Than He Could Chew
(rickwells.us) - The leftist mouthpiece Bob Schieffer premises his question by stating, “It’s not exactly news to say that the Congress can pass laws.” What would be news to this biased anti-American hack is that ‘presidents’ cannot just fabricate their own laws...He would probably also be amazed to learn that treaties must be approved by Congress and that Congress is of equal stature, not subjective to a president. This deal is a nuclear treaty, regardless of any other subversively-correct name they try to pin to it. He asks Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) “Why did you try to convince the Iranians that they needed to be wary of dealing with the United States, why not take your argument to the American people, why didn’t you write an open letter to the New York Times?” Cotton defends his decision to not go the cowardly, ineffective and submissive route that Schieffer believes would have been sufficiently deferential to the outlaw “president” saying, “Iran’s leaders needed to hear the message loud and clear. I can tell you they are not hearing that message from Geneva.” He adds that the Iranian response “underscores the need for the letter in the first place,” noting that they apparently believe that international law can override our Constitution. http://www.rickwells.us/bumbling-bob-schieffer-bit-off-more-than-he-could-chew-in-sarcasm-laced-interview-with-senator-tom-cotton/

Bill O’Reilly: Who Is Asking Jen Psaki To Stonewall?
(nicedeb.wordpress.com) - The question of whether or not Hilly Clinton signed an exit statement saying she turned over all of her public information to the State Department when she departed, is now dogging Hilly Clinton when ventures out in public...Fox News’ Ed Henry tried to pry an answer from her on Monday, but she rushed right past him, refusing to even acknowledge the question. Bill O’Reilly said he was confused as to why she wouldn’t answer the question and the State Department is stonewalling. Here’s another question, Bill said, “who is telling Miss Psaki to stonewall. Somebody is. Hanoi John Kerry’s in charge, but he’s negotiating nukes with the Iranians. Why would he care about the exit document? I mean – this is so strange…everybody KNOWS the State Department is dodging. Why are they doing it?” Excellent question. Not that we will ever be given an answer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1FkxMIoBqw

nObama’s Plan To Buy Terrorist Friendship, Empty U.S. Treasury
(rickwells.us) - Just as nObama believes he and his comrades should never let a perfectly good crisis go to waste, they never miss a chance to deplete the U.S. treasury of its “unlimited” supply borrowed money...That’s the case even when, or perhaps especially if, it involves rewarding the unnamed international extortionists of Islamic terrorism. After all, as America’s “president” sees things, our nation is the greatest evil ever to occupy space on the face of the Earth. His perception of “social justice” is founded upon the principle that America owes every creature, from humans down to the fly on his face, reparations for the crime of our existence. His solution is simple; we must pay until we no longer exist, win-win, problems solved. During an interview with “the voice of American Marxism,” Vice News on Monday, nObama proclaimed that America needs to pay “protection money” to his fellow Islamic racketeers in the form of increased Middle East foreign aid. That way they’ll like us and stop bullying us. It’s entirely probable that when nObama was a skinny little kid in Indonesia he had to pay other kids to be his friends, but that’s not an effective way to conduct foreign policy. It is, however, a great weapon in the arsenal of a foreign enemy agent intent upon crippling our nation from within. http://www.rickwells.us/obamas-plan-to-buy-terrorist-friendship-empty-u-s-treasury-his-ultimate-solution-to-the-american-problem/

Even Democrats won’t back nObama’s Iran nuclear deal
(Robert Spencer) - Democratic senators remain irritated with their GOP colleagues who last week sent a letter to Iranian leaders undercutting President Barack nObama, but they will still back bipartisan legislation that would give Congress final say over a nuclear deal...Enough members of the president’s party have signaled support for that bill and another that would impose new sanctions on Iran if it doesn’t make an agreement with negotiators that the White House would be powerless to stop the measures from going into effect once passed. The nObama administration and its international partners now have until March 24 to set up the framework for a deal. http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/03/even-democrats-wont-back-obamas-iran-nuclear-deal?utm_source=Jihad+Watch+Daily+Digest&utm_campaign=b5584ac8d5-Daily_Digest&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ffcbf57bbb-b5584ac8d5-123451509

Speaker backstabber Boehner: Democrat Dissenter
(Lester Jackson) - On March 3, after repeatedly huffing and puffing in support the Republican position on one of the major issues of the 2014 election, backstabber John Boehner predictably went back on his word...betraying conservatives on a signature campaign promise: to rein in President nObama’s unconstitutional and lawless actions in support of lawlessness. This was backstabber Boehner’s final surrender, ceding the last vestige of the immense power of the purse that a majority of voters sent Republicans to Washington to exercise. In ratifying law-breaking by both the president and millions of aliens, he removed any lingering doubt that he is the Democrat-preferred nObama-Pulosi House Speaker. A headline in The Hill, said it all: “Dems vow to protect Boehner from conservative coup.” This headline and the accompanying Mike Lillis story validate and vindicate articles recently published here, here and here. Democrats now consider backstabber Boehner to be their puppet in a one-party leftist dictatorship ruling against a conservative country. So it was no surprise that, when conservatives protested this latest backstabber Boehner betrayal, Democrats rallied to reciprocate the vast aid and comfort he had given them. http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/03/speaker_boehner_democrat_dissenter.html

Hilly Clinton’s Tangled Web of Lies
(Roger Aronoff) - While some liberal commentators may continue to dismiss the coverage of Emailgate as “nonsense,” and a “fake scandal,” the fact remains that Hilly Clinton’s ongoing lies regarding her exclusive use of private email while serving as Secretary of State constitute just more of a long trail of deceptions reaching back to her youth...In 2008 Accuracy in Media published a column by the now-deceased Jerome Zeifman, the Democratic Party’s general counsel for the Watergate investigation. I had several conversations with him in his final years. Zeifman was openly critical of Mrs. Clinton. Having worked with her during the formative years of her career, he had tremendous insight into her early character, which continues today. “Eventually, because of a number of her unethical practices I decided that I could not recommend her for any subsequent position of public or private trust,” he commented for AIM in 2008. http://www.aim.org/aim-column/hillary-clintons-tangled-web-of-lies/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email031715&utm_medium=email

Hilly Violating the Law, Justice Depart Take Custody of the Server
(Andrew McCarthy) - Shannen Coffin had an important NR column Wednesday, exploring for a second time the question whether Hilly Clinton committed a crime by failing to turn over government records...the thousands of work-related emails on her private server – when she left the State Department two years ago. On Fox News’s The Kelly Filelast night, he and Megyn Kelly followed up: outlining how, contrary to suggestions from Camp Clinton, there is a serious process involved when a high-level official stops working for a federal department – a process designed to ensure that all work-related information has been turned over for retention in government files. While it is true, as Mrs. Clinton has said, that the departing official must decide what information belongs to the government and what is private, that is just the start of the process. What the official claims is private must be inventoried and reviewed by the department’s records retention staff; if there is any doubt about whether a record is related to official business, the default position is that the government retains the record. http://www.aim.org/guest-column/hillary-clinton-is-still-violating-the-law-and-the-justice-department-should-take-custody-of-the-server/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email031715&utm_medium=email

Texas Legislation Would Block Federal Acts as Unconstitutional
(tenthamendmentcenter.com) - A bill up for consideration in the Texas legislature would create a mechanism for the state to review and reject any federal order, law, police, rule, mandate or agency regulation that is found to violate the Bill of Rights of the Texas Constitution...Introduced by Rep. David Simpson (R-Longview), House Bill 1751 (HB1751) would set a formal process for the state to not only stop providing material support for federal acts deemed a constitutional violation, but would also authorize the legislature to “interpose itself between the federal government and persons in this state to oppose the federal government in the execution and enforcement of federal law.” If passed, the state legislature would be able to declare any federal act to be a violation of Article I of the Texas Constitution, the state’s Bill of Rights, with a two-thirds vote of both chambers. No action would be required from the Governor, fully bypassing what has often been a long and contentious veto override process. http://blog.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2015/02/texas-legislation-would-create-a-mechanism-to-review-and-block-federal-acts-as-unconstitutional/
10. In February 2014, the Institute for Energy Research reported: When Sen. Jeff Sessions asked McCarthy a number of questions about droughts and hurricanes, she either dodged providing a specific answer or claimed, as with hurricanes, that “I cannot answer that question. It’s a very complicated issue.”
H. Sterling Burnett, the managing editor of the Heartland Institute’s Environment & Climate News, reported on The Secret Science Reform Act (HR 4012) introduced by the House Science Committee late last year. The bill would “prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from proposing, finalizing, or disseminating regulations or assessments based on science that is not transparent or reproducible.”

The EPA Thinks You're Stupid
Alan Caruba
(factsnotfantasy.blogspot.com) - The folks at the Environmental Protection Agency, starting with a long line of its administrators that now includes Gina McCarthy, think you and the Congress of the United States are stupid. They have been telling lies for so long they can’t imagine that their chokehold on the American economy will ever end.
It is, however, coming to an end and the reason is a Republican-controlled Congress responding to the countless businesses and individuals being ravaged by a ruthless bureaucracy driven by an environmental agenda determined to deprive America of the energy sources vital to our lives and the nation’s existence.
This was on display in early March when Gina McCarthy testified to the Senate Environmental and Public Works Committee, asking for a nearly $500 million increase in its 2016 budget. The total discretionary budget request would have topped out at $8.6 billion and would reward states nearly $4 billion to go along with the EPA’s Clean Power Plan.
The problem is that the Clean Power Plan is really about no power or far more costly power in those states where the EPA has been shutting down coal-fired plants that not long ago provided fifty percent of all the electricity in the nation.
“More than 72 gigawatts (GW) of electrical generating capacity have already, or are now set to retire because of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) regulations. The regulations causing these closures include the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (colloquially called MATS, or Utility MACT), proposed Cross State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR), and the proposed regulation of carbon dioxide emissions from existing power plants.
To put 72 GW in perspective, that is enough electrical generation capacity to reliably power 44.7 million homes—or every home in every state west of the Mississippi River, excluding Texas. In other words, EPA is shutting down enough generating capacity to power every home in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Over 94 percent these retirements will come from generating units at coal-fired power plants, shuttering over one-fifth of the U.S.’s coal-fired generating capacity. While some of the effected units will be converted to use new fuels, American families and businesses will pay the price with higher utility bills and less reliability for their electricity.”
What nation would knowingly reduce its capacity to produce the electricity that everyone depends upon?
Answer: The United States of America.
Why? Because the EPA has been telling us that coal-fired plants produce carbon dioxide (CO2) and it is causing ours and the world’s temperature to increase to a point that threatens our lives. They have been claiming that everything from blizzards to droughts, hurricanes to forest fires, are the result of the CO2 that coal-fired plants produce.
That is a huge, stupendous lie.
In the Senate Committee meeting, McCarthy said, “Climate change is real. It is happening. It is a threat. Humans are causing the majority of that threat...the impacts are being felt. Climate change is not a religion. It is not a belief system. It’s a scientific fact. And our challenge is to move forward with the actions we need to protect future generations.”
Climate change is real. It’s been real for 4.5 billion years and it has absolutely nothing to do with anything that humans do, least of all heating, cooling and lighting their homes, running their businesses, and everything else that requires electricity.
McCarthy said that the EPA’s overall goal was to save the planet from rising sea levels, massive storms, and other climate events that impact our lives. No, that’s not why the EPA was created in 1970. Its job was to clean the water and the air. It has done a relatively good job, but its mandate had nothing to do with the climate, nor does the provision of energy have any impact on the climate.
The reverse is true. The climate has a lot of impact on us.
The reverse is true. The climate has a lot of impact on us.
Regarding the “science” McCarthy referred to, according to a 2013 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, there were record low tornadoes, record low hurricanes, record gain in Arctic and Antarctic ice, no change in the rate of sea levels, and there had been NO WARMING at that point for 17—now 19—years.
Asked about the computer models on which the EPA makes its regulatory decisions, McCarthy replied, “I do not know what the models actually are predicting that you are referring to.” Sen. Sessions said that it was incredible that the Administrator of the EPA “doesn’t know whether their predictions have been right or wrong.”
As for any “science” the EPA may be using, much of it is SECRET.

The House passed the Act on November 20, 2014 and it has been received in the Senate, read twice, and referred to the Committee on Environment and Public Works. If it passes the Senate, that will be a giant leap forward in gaining oversight and control of the EPA.
Until then, the EPA’s administrator and staff will continue to work their mischief in the belief that both Congress and the rest of us are stupid. We’re not.
