The most serious flaw in the West’s intervention in Syria’s civil and religious war for that is what it is is our lack of justification for the morality of going to war with Assad and sending American troops to Syria in the first place. Pragmatic arguments about regional politics and supporting the Kurds are valid but not sufficient to go to war or to expend American lives in theatre. At the end of the day, “there are no good guys in an Islamic civil war,” writes Daniel Greenfield. Moreover, “there are no innocent victims in an Islamic civil war because neither side believes in anything except demonstrating the Allahu Akbaring supremacy of their religious doctrine by subjugating the other,” he adds. Hence exploring the moral question becomes an even greater imperative. Since they both wear the traditional hijab... Nancy Pulosi will move to repeal a 180-year rule prohibiting head coverings on the floor of Congress. Some suggested that all the women in Congress wear the hijab in solidarity with their new Muslim colleagues. A CNN anchor suggested two years ago that all American women wear the hijab in solidarity with Muslim women against a Trump presidency. I commented on my radio show that if the women wear the hijab on the floor of Congress, it will look like an Islamic republic. The mainstream media went wild, depicting me as a raving lunatic, while portraying the newly elected Muslims as courageous representatives of American diversity. Both women will be sworn in on the Koran, and Tlaib will wear a Palestinian robe to show she is firmly in the anti-Israel camp. What a surprise. By the way, it is interesting to note that Jews have served in Congress since the early 1800s and there has been no Jewish push to allow wearing the yarmulke. Learning of my comments, Ms. Omar responded, “The floor of Congress will look like America. Just deal.” First, most American women do not wear Islamic headdress. I have no idea what “Just deal” means. I do know that wrapping leftist ideology in a hijab doesn’t make it right or good for America. It is clear that Ilhan Omar is an America-hating leftist who is using her religion to win sympathy as a victim. Muslims have not been victims of Americans. It is the other way around. by Culture Beat:  Following the West’s near-universal acceptance of postmodernism, in which Enlightenment values that championed the rights of the individual have been eroded into near obscurity in the face of leftists’ incessant demands for “social justice” for various “oppressed” identity groups, an unusual and unlikely alliance has been created. Leftists have clasped hands with Islamists in their effort to overthrow the “patriarchy” of the Enlightened West.

             The Federalist’s Mahir Ahmed notes the irony, writing, “Of all the ideologies the left has aligned itself with through minority representation, I find the strangest of all to be Islam. The left’s alliance with Islam is unique, not only because Islam is at odds with Enlightenment values, as most collectivist systems are, but mainly because Islam is at odds with rights the left pride themselves in protecting.”
               Ahmed continues, “Ex-Muslims, LGBT Muslims, and independent, dissenting Muslim women have always had to fear for their lives, and they continue to do so today in Muslim-majority countries. It is extremely strange that the same left that used to defend human rights worldwide somehow decided to align itself with Islam, only to help further endanger the lives of dissenting individuals within the Muslim community, not only in Muslim-majority countries, but even here in the West.”
               The obvious question arises: What is the endgame for leftists who so willingly embrace Islam, which itself promotes a value systems that runs counter to almost everything the Left claims to value? The modern Left has become so obsessed in its commitment to destroy capitalism and the Western “patriarchy” that it has willingly and eagerly aligned itself with a medieval-era monster that will turn and eat it at the first opportunity.
               The Left warns of the danger posed by a nonexistent Judeo-Christian “theocracy” while at the same time blindly embracing an alliance with a worldview that fundamentally rejects the concept of the separation of church mosque and state. As Ahmed concludes, “The message I am trying to convey here is not about waging war against Islam. It is rather about going back to the basics of Enlightenment values, and to set the individual above all else. It is about pushing back against granting Islam immunity from criticism.”
