Time to try an affordable alternative school...
Hello parents,
The school we've constructed is designed to return both control and responsibility for children’s education to parents, and to involve parents directly, at home, in their child's education and development.
We believe parents are the stewards of their children, under God, and that government has NO proper role in their education or upbringing. This is considered a radical concept today, but was the standard in America for the first 3/4 of our existence and produced the best results in all of history. Our constitution makes NO provision for education, as our founders firmly believed this was the realm of parents and churches.
Our school, FreedomProject Education, is a fully accredited (NAPS- National Association of Private Schools) online school, designed to facilitate alternative education for almost all parents, in almost all situations, even two income families, low income families, fractured or divided custody families, and single parents
FreedomProject Education has intentionally provided for, and attracted a number of families from each of these large sectors of society, and also provide enhancement and support for millions of families who have already opted to home educate.
Parents often wish they could use private, Christian, Parochial or other alternative schools, or home educate their children. Unfortunately, finances, and the rigors and limitations of single parent homes make that choice impossible or at best, very difficult for most.
The following advantage factors make FPE an option for many families who lack sufficient means, feel they must maintain two jobs to survive, or simply do not feel confident or competent to educate their own children completely in a homeschooling mode:
A base tuition of $1,800 a year for a full time student, minus discounts ranging from 5-15%, and a payment system make affording FPE easy. Discounts are available for multiple student families, early registration, returning student families, and other affiliations, situations, and structures, so FPE is very affordable. Parents are responsible for text books and materials, but FPE has minimized these costs and provides help in locating materials and getting the best prices via our web system.
Education is all done at home, but the classes themselves are live and conducted and monitored by real teachers in real time. Classes are also recorded for review throughout the life of the class. This provides maximum flexibility but a firm schedule to keep students on track. It also provides visibility and maximum opportunity to parents to sit in, monitor classes, help students learn and study as much as their ability, time and willingness will allow.
Class sizes are small, guaranteeing individual attention: K-5th grades have a maximum of 15 students, 6th through 12th grades no more than 30, and most will have less.
There are no transportation, lunch, or environment issues, as the child remains at home. Even younger children can be monitored by any mentor: an older sibling, a relative, friend, grandparent, and students of age and disposition to be at home alone during the day responsibly can do this program, in a single parent or two income home.
The program is based on an Americanist, classical, non-denominational Biblically-based curriculum each part of which is a full curriculum for each subject for each grade year, mostly materials produced for homeschool markets and used by hundreds of thousands or even millions of students for home education. In other words, experienced teachers with an Americanist biblical world view, using a curriculum designed for and used by homeschooling families who care about their children.
Our full time program is available for the full spectrum of Kindergarten through 12th grade. However, parents of 6th through 12th graders may choose to enroll a child in a single class for supplemental education in advanced subjects, foreign languages, Latin, Logic, American Studies, or other courses, to help ground them in Constitutional, limited government principles and practices or other disciplines.
We are non-profit, and non-denominational, as well as completely private and independent of government money or control.
It is my firm belief that we've constructed the perfect combination to provide an alternative to government schools for those who seek alternative education but lack means, or time, or confidence . We also support and improve home education by providing expert instruction in many areas where parents may struggle.
Please link to, promote, and help us grow this alternative school, as we feel it can be a large part of the solution to many educational, societal, and governmental problems we are experiencing today.
We are constructing a system for the administration of tuition assistance, as a number of our supporters are asking about this, and a few have already contributed to this small, but important area of our operations. We are committed to only accepting private donations to this program to maintain our independence of government agencies.
Please link to our site, and let people you have influence with know there IS another GREAT alternative to government schools.
