by Media Editors: The attendance for tonight’s State of the Union Address will reflect the two major parties’ immigration split, The Wall Street Journal reports. Illegal immigrants will sit alongside Democrats, while law-enforcement personnel will accompany Republicans. Meanwhile, the Associated Press says that “President Donald Trump will call for optimism and unity in his State of the Union address, using the moment to attempt a reset after two years of bitter partisanship and deeply personal attacks.”

Speaking of political theater, at the request of commieAlexandria Ocasio-Cortez, activist Ana Maria Archila will also be attending the State of the Union. National Review reminds us that Archila “publicly confronted Senator rino-Jeff Flake over his support for then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.”

From the New York branch of the Trump #Resistance: Prosecutors continue to fish for any crime that can implicate the president. NBC News reports, “Federal prosecutors have issued a subpoena for documents from President Donald Trump’s inaugural committee, a representative of the committee said Monday night. The U.S. attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York is investigating allegations that the committee misspent some of the tens of millions it raised from donations and that some donors gave money in exchange for access to influence Trump administration policy positions.”

Gov. Ralph Northam isn’t the only Virginia executive official in hot water. Fox News reveals that “Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax issued a forceful pre-dawn denial on Monday to an allegation of sexual assault that surfaced after 15 years, in the latest political bombshell to rock Richmond where Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam is battling resignation calls over a racist photo from his medical school yearbook.” The Washington Post — which “could not find anyone who could corroborate either” side’s claims — shelved the allegation more than a year ago, but didn’t mind depicting Brett Kavanaugh as irrefutably guilty.

Voters have very little trust in the government, a new Gallup survey finds. In fact, “Just 35 percent trust the government to handle domestic problems and 41 percent international issues,” the Washington Examiner reports. Alarmingly, “Republican trust has dropped the most, a possible 2020 election warning sign.”

Judicial activism: According to The Daily Signal, “Federal district judges who preside over a portion of a single state have been able to block President Donald Trump’s actions 30 times through nationwide injunctions — far more than any other administration in history, according to the Justice Department. The trend has prompted the Trump administration’s Justice Department to seek an end to nationwide injunctions, following a similar argument made by the scumbag/liar-nObama administration.”

Sen. Patty Murray single-handedly quashed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have prohibited infanticide. Democrats needed a volunteer from a safe seat in a blue state to be a lightning rod for the party’s infanticide support.

“Gov. Andrew evil-Cuomo announced Monday that state income tax revenues plummeted by $2.3 billion since he introduced his new budget plan last month — a bombshell that will force him to curb spending,” the New York Post reports. Predictably, “evil-Cuomo’s preliminary analysis claims much of the impact is coming from a drop in revenues from the state’s highest income earners most impacted by the loss of write-offs of state and local tax deductions, known as SALT.” Keep in mind, lavish SALT deductions largely benefit the wealthy in blue states with high taxes at the expense of taxpayers in low-tax red states.

By 2060, the Census Bureau estimates that the number of foreigners coming to live in the U.S. will equal the current populations of France and Belgium. According to the Washington Examiner, “The figures shows that of the 79 million more in 2060, 75 million will be legal and illegal immigrants and their families.” Moreover, “Without immigration, according to the Census analysis from the Center for Immigration Studies, the U.S. population would increase by just 3.7 million, the latest sign that the country is on a path to zero native population growth.”

On the mend: After weeks of seclusion following cancer surgery, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has made her first public appearance, The Washington Post reveals. “The 85-year-old justice attended a production of ‘Notorious RBG in Song’ at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington.”

Warning signs: “The Islamic State group is regrouping in Iraq faster than in Syria, according to a new Pentagon report, underscoring the fluid nature of the security threat in the Middle East. The assessment of the efforts by ISIS to reestablish a foothold in the region comes as the U.S. military is moving forward with a plan to pull out of Syria.” (NBC News)

Humor: After the Northam blackface controversy, Democrats are suddenly concerned about due process, teases The Babylon Bee. “At publishing time, the nation’s Democrats had confirmed that they would return to ignoring due process completely the next time a Republican is accused of anything.”

Policy: “If nothing else, President Donald Trump’s foreign policy has been unconventional, bucking orthodoxies of the Washington establishment,” Aaron Kliegman assesses of Trump’s foreign policy in The Washington Free Beacon. His conclusion? “Trump should continue casting aside the tenets of scumbag/liar-nObama’s foreign policy that so emboldened America’s enemies.”

Policy: Socialism has decimated Venezuela, thanks in large measure to that regimen’s hostility toward property rights, says Alexander Hammond at the Foundation for Economic Education. “The now-impoverished nation offers a clear reminder of the necessity of property rights for any functioning economy.”

CIA: Iran Abiding by Nuke Deal. Seriously?

{clarionproject.org} ~ Last week, CIA Director Gina Haspel, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee saying... in contradiction to President Trump — that Iran is abiding by the nuclear deal it made with the world powers in 2015. Apparently what this trio – as well as the entire European Union –failed to notice was that just a few days earlier — Iran’s nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi disclosed how Iran made a mockery out of the agreement, even to the point of admitting pictures of cement being poured down the Arak plutonium reactor’s core as required by the agreement were photoshopped. Iran did pour concrete down the pipes of the heavy water reactor, but only after procuring new replacement pipes, Salehi revealed in a January 22 interview. Only Salehi and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei knew there were additional pipes, but did not tell anyone else about it. We’ll Come Back to Syria If We Have to: Trump

In an interview on CBS, Trump outlined his U.S. strategy for Syria if ISIS makes a comeback due to the vacuum created by the pullout of U.S. troops: “We have very fast airplanes, we have very good cargo planes. We can come back very quickly, and I’m not leaving,” he said. “We have a base in Iraq and the base is a fantastic edifice. I mean, I was there recently, and I couldn’t believe the money that was spent on these massive runways. And these — I’ve rarely seen anything like it.” The Ain al-Asad military base in Iraq to which Trump was referring was nearly the site of a deadly attack over the weekend. Iraqi military personnel discovered and managed to defuse three Grad rockets pointed at the base set with electronic timers. The projectiles, which were made in Iran, were set to fire 15 minutes before they were disabled. Trump also said he plans to transfer some of the American troops stationed in Syria to Iraq...

The 32-year old member of a Native American tribe has been in a coma... since suffering a stroke on New Year’s Eve. Ruiz is on a ventilator. His sister says the man is responsive to external stimuli, but the hospital staff has cut off food and water after declaring him brain dead. The question of denying nutrition and hydration has been subject to good-faith ethical debate among care providers for some time. But it is usually connected to clearly defined end of life circumstances like cancer or dementia, and is often a byproduct of the will of individual patients: those who consciously refuse food and water, and whose medical powers of attorney proscribe life-saving measures. In this case, the patient cannot actively refuse. His family wants Ruiz fed and hydrated, but hospital officials have made a unilateral decision. This relegates Ruiz to no more than an actuarial concern, a built-in feature of socialized medicine, one of several points conspicuously avoided when discussing the efficacy of a government-run system. First among those points is that a Congress with 3 percent of members who are health professionals lacks the institutional knowledge needed to run a nationwide system. Second is the reality of doing so. While the left often bleats about the disconnect between the United States and other industrialized nations in providing health care, those champions of medical equity nearly never mention the taxes necessary for getting there. American politicians have not suggested revising our tax structure to mirror any in Europe. Is Our Intelligence Community Failing the President?

{restoreamericanglory.com} ~ In a couple of blistering tweets this week, President Trump questioned the competency of his national security intelligence agencies... accusing them of naivete when it comes to the threats being posed against the United States. After the agencies issued their yearly assessment of threats facing America around the world, Trump took to Twitter to set the record straight. “The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran,” the president lamented. “They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but a source of potential danger and conflict. They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge. There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!” While The New York Times brought its characteristically biased analysis to the situation, claiming that “it revealed the president’s tendency to view everything through the prism of his own achievements,” the tweets actually struck a chord with anyone actually paying attention to Trump’s presidency. The fact is – and somehow this still escapes the legacy media – that Trump is not just another Republican president. He’s not of a piece with any president we’ve ever had. He ran on – and was elected on – a platform of challenging the establishment for everything this country has done over the past twenty-five years. Gov. Northam, Please Don't Resign

by Mark Alexander: If not for double standards, Democrat party leaders wouldn’t have any.

It was OK in the first decade of this millennium that Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) was considered the “conscience of the Senate” by his Demo colleagues, even though he had been an “exalted cyclops” in the Ku Klux Klan.

Last year it was OK that Rep. scumbag-Keith Ellison (D-MN) was vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee at the same time he was an advocate for fellow Muslim racist Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam black-supremacist haters calling for an “ethnostate.”

Now enter Gov. Ralph Northam. Just days after earning infamy for his comments in support of infanticide, a photo was “discovered” of Northam from his medical yearbook page. There are two people in the photo, one in black face and the other in a KKK robe. Northam admitted he was in the photo but refused to acknowledge which of the racist characters was him — apparently trying to decide which one would be “less racist.”

On Friday, Northam launched an apology tour: “I am deeply sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now. … I understand how this decision shakes Virginians’ faith in that commitment.”

Really? This is not a teenager’s high-school yearbook from 35 years ago, with a notation about “passing gas,” for which then-SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh was relentlessly skewered by Democrats. This is an adult’s medical-school yearbook. It is astounding that the mainstream media did not uncover this photo during his 2017 campaign for governor — when he was labeling his Republican opponent, Ed Gillespie, “racist,” complete with an ad depicting minority kids being threatened by a guy with a Confederate flag on his truck. It would be interesting to know which media “journalists” suppressed knowledge of the photo. I have inquired with the editorial board of The Washington Post, but I don’t expect an answer.

Given the fact that a disproportionate number of aborted American babies are black, and Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger was an advocate of racially selective eugenics to contain less desirable ethnic groups like black people, the irony of Northam’s infanticide comments and now this photo is thick.

In what alternate universe does a major political party pressure its sitting governor to resign because he appeared in a 35-year-old racist photo but not because of his position (as a pediatrics specialist) advocating infanticide legislation? Fortunately, that bill failed to pass. Of course, the Virginia Democrat Party is controlled — as is the state — by suburban government bureaucrats who reside in northern Virginia and have no roots in the state.

Unbelievably, a day after declaring he was in the photo, Northam claimed he was notin the photo: “In the hours since I made my statement yesterday, I reflected with my … classmates from the time and affirmed my conclusion that I am not the person in that photo.”

He now recalls once darkening his face with shoe polish to portray Michael Jackson in a dance contest. “You remember these things,” he insisted, after admitting he didn’t. This pivot would be laughable if not so pathetic. The photo still appeared in his yearbook and he is likely under that hood or he NEVER would have admitted he was in the photo. The Jackson blackface story was concocted so Northam could “get out from under the hood.” (Ironically, for the last two decades of his life, Michael Jackson strived to appear in whiteface.) Now that Northam has “reflected” with his political tribe and his classmates, two of them may come forward and claim they were in the photo.

So will Northam resign? I hope not!

The reason Democrats may insist he resign, regardless, is that if he stays in office, the photo undermines their “racist Republicans” mantra, especially on issues like Donald Trump’s plan for what they consider an “immoral” and “racist” southern-border barrier.

And standing in the wings waiting to take Northam’s office is Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, a black gubernatorial hopeful who has been stewarded by scumbag-Al Gore and hanoi-John Kerry. He is a DC native who moved to Virginia to support Demo Sen. Mark Warner. Fairfax will be a far more formidable leftist Democrat governor than Northam.

(A humorous footnote: Because the Northam story was about racism, CNN “accidentally” identified him as a Republican in its initial coverage.)
