Anwar al-Awlaki was born in the United States. Yet, apparently, Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee believe the only thing worth remembering about him is that President scumbag/liar-nObama “illegally” had him killed in Yemen using a Hellfire missile... No matter that al-Awlaki: had sent “panty bomber” Abdulmuttalab to blow up a passenger plane over Detroit; attempted to blow up a DHL cargo airplane in flight; had become the well-publicized spiritual leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula AQAP; and was heavily guarded in Yemen’s remote tribal areas -- sending Americans into those wilds to arrest him would have been difficult and dangerous. Most of us vividly recall that twice before 9/11 al-Awlaki met with future hijackers. I agree with former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy that the collection of metadata should be abolished. Further, I agree that judges are unqualified to conduct national security. Republicans and Democrats in Congress have repeatedly abdicated their oversight responsibilities of our intelligence community. Now, some Republicans are seeking to give the FISA court even more authority. Far too many Democrats -- who seek to vest America’s foreign enemies with our constitutional rights -- are cheering them on. Yet Senators Paul and Lee seem to assume America could also safely let the business records and roving wiretap provisions of the Patriot Act expire after March 15, 2020. Americans would be less safe, and what might have happened had the FBI investigated Anwar al-Awlaki before 9/11 helps to demonstrate why. In late 1999, Saudi Arabia informed our CIA that members of al Qaeda were about to meet in Malaysia. While Khalid al-Mihdhar was en route to there, the CIA had a foreign intelligence agency enter his hotel room and copy his passport, which included an open-ended visa to the United States. Khalid al-Mihdhar was known by the FBI to be the son-in-law of Ahmed al-Hada, who ran al Qaeda's telecommunications relay in Yemen. In 1998, the U.S. Nairobi embassy bomber Mohamed Rashed Daoud Al-Owhali told the FBI he had called al-Hada’s phone number to relay a message to Osama bin Laden. The FBI's NYC field office was investigating the two embassy bombings and conducting counterterrorism investigations of al Qaeda; al-Mihdhar entering America would have caused the FBI to investigate. In January of 2000, the CIA failed to inform the FBI that future hijacker al-Mihdhar had a visa to enter the United States. That April, the CIA then failed to tell the FBI that al Qaeda member and future hijacker Nawaf al-Hazmi whom the CIA observed with al-Mihdhar in Malaysia had arrived in Los Angeles from Thailand on January 15, 2000. The CIA did not know that al-Mihdhar was also on that plane; the agency with the authority to investigate inside the United States the FBI discovered it soon after 9/11. Further, in 2006, the CIA’s inspector general reported that none of the “50 to 60” people at the CIA who had read -- before 9/11 -- about al-Mihdhar’s visa and al-Hazmi’s arrival in Los Angeles had complied with the CIA’s own directive requiring those officers to place the two on the terror watchlist. Up to that point, al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi had committed no federal crime. It would have necessitated an intelligence investigation that would have almost certainly led to al-Awlaki. After an initial attempt to exploit IRS records, the legal tool used to access the NSA database was the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA. With research files on the ’15, ’16 and ’17 political surveillance program; including information from the Mueller report and information from the IG Horowitz report; in combination with the scumbag/liar-nObama-era DOJ “secret research project” their words, not mine; we are able to overlay the scumbag/liar-nObama-era domestic IC operations & gain a full understanding of how political surveillance was conducted over a period of four to six years.The FISA-702 database extraction process, and utilization of the protections within the smaller intelligence community, became the primary process only after a previous DOJ effort ran into trouble. The established record from the 99-page FISC opinion rendered by Presiding Judge Rosemary Collyer on April 26, 2017, helps explain the details. I would strongly urge everyone to read the FISC report because Judge Collyer outlines how the DOJ, which includes the FBI, had an “institutional lack of candor” in responses to the FISA court. Very specifically, the court outlined how the scumbag/liar-nObama administration was continually lying to the court about both their activity, and the rate of fourth amendment violations for illegal searches and seizures of U.S. persons’ private information. These violations continued for multiple years throughout scumbag/liar-nObama’s terms. Unfortunately, due to intelligence terminology Judge Collyer’s brief and ruling is not an easy read for anyone unfamiliar with the FISA processes outlined. Israeli authorities have transferred 250 coronavirus test kits from Israel to the Palestinians. Furthermore, joint training sessions for Israeli and Palestinian medical personnel were organized for the professional study of the virus, the protection of medical personnel, and the testing of patients suspected of being virus carriers. "We will continue working to help the Palestinian authorities curb the spread of the virus, both as an Israeli interest and for humanitarian reasons," said Israeli Civil Administration Health Coordinator Dalia Basa. "We will expand medical training to Palestinian personnel as much as possible, as well as the transfer of medical equipment to the Palestinian healthcare system." Earlier, the Israeli authorities announced that they had facilitated 105,495 humanitarian crossings for Palestinians to receive medical treatment in Israel during the last week of February. Yet, rather than showing gratitude toward the Israeli authorities for their assistance, the Palestinian Authority and its media outlets and officials are continuing their campaign of incitement against Israel. They are also continuing to incite Palestinians against Israel by spreading lies about Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers. Hit With Illegal Coordination Complaint

{ freebeacon.com } ~ A watchdog group hit Iowa Democrat Theresa Greenfield with a complaint alleging her Senate campaign illegally coordinated with a super PAC affiliated with Sen. Chuck scumbag-Schumer (D., N.Y.)... The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) on Monday filed the complaint to the Federal Election Commission. It alleges that Greenfield's campaign and the Senate Majority PAC violated election laws when the super PAC produced a pro-Greenfield television ad that mirrored language from a document the campaign posted to its website several weeks earlier. The ad also used video footage that Greenfield's campaign posted. "Several federal candidates have used their campaign websites to request outside organizations, with which they are prohibited from coordinating, produce and run television advertisements on their behalf," the complaint states. "The requests are conveyed in a specific format, i.e. using a campaign webpage entitled ‘Important Update,' identifying the information with specific ‘code words' such as ‘Iowa voters need to hear about,' and linking to a PDF document that is designed to provide the information and citations for the substance of the advertisement, which all appear to be in the same format. The purpose and effect are clear: to give specific instructions, information, and graphic campaign materials to outside organizations to run advertisements beneficial to their campaign. "The complaint follows a Washington Free Beacon report that detailed similarities between the information posted on Greenfield's website and the ad from the scumbag-Schumer-affiliated PAC. The materials, given the production of the ad, appeared to be "signaling" the PAC, according to the complaint. Around the beginning of February, Greenfield's campaign posted an "Important Update" on its website with information on the candidate that "Iowa voters need to hear about." The Senate Majority PAC announced on Feb. 24 a $1 million ad buy in support of Greenfield in the Hawkeye State. The ad it subsequently produced contained the same subject matter as a memo attached to the "Update" and used B-roll footage from a silent, unlisted YouTube video linked in the memo. "Under federal law, Senate candidates are prohibited from coordinating with Super PACs such as Senate Majority PAC on advertisements," the complaint states. "Senate Majority PAC is also prohibited from republishing campaign materials, including photographs and video from a campaign committee."...

Coronavirus Codswallop -- By the Numbers

{.americanthinker.coml } ~ “Codswallop” is one of those interesting words that might have been used by Supreme Court justice Anton Scalia in a dissenting opinion, or by conservative intellectual William F. Buckley in describing some liberal policy...It’s a British expression that refers to words or ideas that are foolish or untrue, in other words, nonsense. While codswallop is a good description of the entire Democrat agenda, today I will restrict its use to the hysteria surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, media fearmongering, and resulting public panic. Big media is all about ratings, view, and clicks, hence their axiom, “If it bleeds, it leads.” A viral outbreak is the perfect story, on par with a missing Malaysian airliner or a celebrity football player named OJ on trial for murder. The added bonus is that any negative news can be laid at the feet of a president loathed by the media, who just so happens to be running for reelection. The media is in full campaign mode, trying desperately to drag the carcass of one of their corpselike candidates across the presidential finish line. Stoking fear over quarantines and supply chain disruptions have sent the stock market on a downward roller coaster ride. One of President Trump’s major achievements is the roaring economy. Taking the stock market down 25% or more may help the Democrats. But by the numbers, the economy is still roaring, bolstered by the February jobs report of 273,000 added jobs, more than expected, and record low 3.5% unemployment. Despite the hair-on-fire reporting of Coronavirus virus news, let’s look at some actual numbers, rather than the codswallop from CNN or MSNBC. Statistics from the Centers of Disease Control and the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Dashboard are illustrative. At the time of this writing, there are 107,352 cases worldwide, 3,646 deaths, and 60,558 recoveries. 15 of those deaths occurred in the U.S. The odds of recovering are far higher than the odds of dying. Cases in Mainland China have peaked with few added cases over the past week. Cases elsewhere are on the rise, following the same pattern as China in early February. Recoveries are rising at an even faster rate. Granted that China may be better equipped to institute mandatory quarantines and travel restrictions under their command and control government, the pattern is similar to the disease course for other viral epidemics. Everyone talks about the power of the Republican and Democrat party establishments.

It’s real — just ask commie-Bernie.

He quickly found out how powerful the Democrat establishment is this week when Mayor socisalist-Pete and Amy Klobuchar both called it quits just in time to help loose lips liar-Joe Biden rack up some impressive primary wins on Super Tuesday.

commie-Bernie Sanders is a socialist, an outsider.

Outsiders always have a tough time. But good, likable candidates like my father in 1980 can defeat the party establishment.

commie-Bernie isn’t exactly likable, but he was looking pretty strong there for a while — almost unstoppable.

He had a lot going for him.

Big, energetic crowds. A clear and unchanging message calling for bigger government, radical economic change and social justice. Lots of campaign money rolling in. Friendly coverage by the liberal mainstream media.

But his big mistake — the one that caused Democrat power brokers to quickly crush him just as he seemed to be cruising to the nomination — was when he went on “60 Minutes” and staunchly defended Fidel Castro’s literacy and educational programs.

The Democrat establishment woke up and said, “Whoa, wait a minute. We just lost Florida in the fall.”

commie-Bernie had to know that with half a million Cubans living in Miami, a presidential candidate in a general election who says nice things about Cuba’s communist government is committing political suicide.

But “principled” commie-Bernie couldn’t help himself.

He’s a living ideological relic of the 1960s, when leftists like him excused, justified and even applauded the oppressive, impoverished and primitive dictatorships of Cuba and the Soviet Union.

Half a century later, with the USSR’s evil empire long gone and Eastern Europe free, commie-Bernie still actually believes all that 1960s leftwing claptrap.

He’s one of the reasons the Cold War lasted so damn long.

When the Democrat bigshots heard commie-Bernie praising his hero Fidel — and stubbornly refusing to pull it back — it scared the bejesus out of them.

Biden was getting weaker and goofier every day, but to the party establishment he was suddenly again looking like their only hope to beat Trump.

By then Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota and Washington will have held their March 10 Democrat primaries and half of all delegates will have been chosen.

loose lips liar-Biden and commie-Bernie will debate one-on-one for two whole hours — if the old coots can last that long.

Both of them are going to need extra doses of vitamin B-12. Instead of water on his podium, loose lips liar-Biden will be swigging Red Bull.

Whoever wins their debates, commie-Bernie is never going make the Democrat establishment happy by obediently dropping out of the race like Mike Bloomberg and the others did.

That means it’s going to be hot and nasty at the Democrat National Convention in Milwaukee this July.

If loose lips liar-Biden wins the nomination, according to the Democrat establishment’s plans, the party’s big problem will be getting commie-Bernie’s young army of left-wingers to get out of bed and vote for loose lips liar-Biden on Election Day.

Good luck with that.

In the general election, no matter which woman he picks as his VP, old loose lips liar-Joe Biden and his stale, “moderate,” leftover scumbag/liar-nObama-era policy ideas will be a longshot to beat Donald Trump.

But the Republican Party and the Trump campaign better be careful.

Voters don’t always vote on policy. They often vote on personality — “Do I like you?”
