 ANOTHER nOBAMACARE DELAY
WaPo: “One of these days, employers will experience the full effects of nObamacare, but not yet. In the latest in a long string of delays in enforcing the rules under the health care overhaul, the Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Department announced on Wednesday that they will wait until summer to start enforcing financial penalties on small businesses that provide so-called Health Reimbursement Arrangements to their employees. Under HRAs, employers provide spending accounts that their workers can use to cover a portion of the cost of buying individual health plans.”  -Fox News

nObama Administration Fights Judge's Immigration Injunction
The nObama administration does not recognize the lawful check on its power brought about by a Republican Congress, a federal judge in Texas and 26 states. Last week, Barack nObama's November executive amnesty was blocked with an injunction, but the administration responded by undermining the judge's order. On Friday, nObama's spokesman Josh Earnest announced the Justice Department would file for a stay. Meanwhile, the commissioner for Customs and Border Protection, Gil Kerlikowske, emailed agents, telling them to ignore the judge's order because the court "did not enjoin the Secretary's overall prioritization of DHS enforcement resources or the existing 2012 DACA policy." Meanwhile, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson insisted congressional Democrats are not blocking debate on a bill that would fund DHS, sans funds for nObama's immigration actions. "We should have the debate about immigration reform," Johnson said. "But you should not tie that to the funding for the third largest department of our government, 240,000 people." In other words, Democrats are open to debate, once nObama's orders are the de facto law of the land.  -The Patriot Post

CNN: 'Right-Wing Extremists' Bigger Threat Than ISIL
nObama administration officials will do whatever it takes to divert attention from Islamic terrorists and the threat posed by jihadis, and so too will their lemmings in the Leftmedia. Every day, the Islamic State one-ups itself with inhumane depravity, which has more Americans wondering what it will take for a proper U.S. response and how long until terrorists organize another attack here at home. The threat is real, and public opinion is clearly shifting on what to do about it. CNN is concerned about other things, though -- like "right-wing extremists." During Friday's telecast, anchor Carol Costello worried that "ISIS isn't the only threat for Americans." She elaborated, "According to an intelligence report by the Department of Homeland Security, authorities are also concerned about right-wing citizen extremists right here in the United States. That may be, in some cases, more dangerous than foreign Islamic terror groups." CNN didn't come right out and say it, but substitute "right-wing citizen extremists" with "Tea Party terrorists" and you'll understand what they were getting at. More...  -The Patriot Post

800,000 Wrong nObamaCare Tax Forms Sent
The nObamaCare rollout began with mandate waivers, a busted website and canceled plans nationwide. This year, millions of Americans face some unwelcome subsidy news when they file their taxes -- not to mention if the Supreme Court nullifies federal subsidies per the language of the law itself. And now this from the Associated Press: "About 800,000 HealthCare.gov customers got the wrong tax information from the government, the nObama administration said Friday, and officials are asking those affected to delay filing their 2014 returns." The messed up forms mean all those taxpayers must wait to file, and the 50,000 who already have filed now need to re-file. For those awaiting refunds, that's going to hurt, but for the numerous filers who are going to be blindsided by nObamaCare's taxes it's perhaps a blessing in disguise. Go figure. No wonder the nObama administration just announced a new, second enrollment period.

nObama Repeats Low Gas Prices Boast
Once again, Barack mObama happily takes credit for cheaper prices at the gas pump. "As Democrats, we believe in reducing our dependence on foreign oil and protecting our planet," nObama said Friday. "Today, America is number one in oil; number one in gas; number one in wind power. Every three weeks, we bring online as much solar power as we did in the entire year of 2008. And thanks to lower gas prices and higher fuel standards, the typical family should save about 750 bucks at the pump." As we have said every time he repeats this empty boast, nObama has nothing to do with lower oil prices, unless "despite his efforts" counts. According to The Daily Caller, "The U.S. went from producing 5 million barrels per day in 2008 to nearly 7.5 million barrels per day in 2013 -- a huge increase, but one that almost exclusively took place on private and state lands. nObama has little to no control over private and state lands. He does, however, have control over federal lands where oil production has been faltering. ... From 2009 to 2013, crude oil production [on federal lands] fell from 1.8 million barrels per day to 1.7 million barrels per day, according to the Congressional Research Service." nObama knows low gas prices benefit everyone -- especially the middle class he's so fond of these days -- but if it were really up to him we'd all be driving Chevy Volts and paying $10 a gallon.  The U.S. and Great Britain Block Egypt’s Military Intervention in Libya
(theconservativetreehouse.com) - It should not come as a surprise to followers of the U.S. position in Libya to discover that both the U.S. and British political apparatus are trying to block Egypt’s request to the Security Council for intervention in Libya...What comes as more of a surprise is the stark contrast between espoused public positions from both President nObama and Prime Minister Cameron about fighting “Islamic Extremism” when contrast against their less public -but far more damaging- positions about allowing the elements of ISIS to have free reign amid the Libyan geography. Are we not against the same enemy? Then why block Egypt?       http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/02/22/the-u-s-and-great-britain-block-egypts-requests-for-military-intervention-in-Libya/

Swedish socialist left-wing PM under fire over Saudi arms deal
(Admin) - The Swedish government was on Friday coming under increased pressure over a military arms deal with Saudi Arabia, as three Social Democrat MPs called for Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to end the agreement...Löfven has previously stated he wants to renegotiate the deal, but three of his own MPs argued on Friday that Sweden should pull out completely. Johan Büser, Sara Karlsson and Lawen Redar wrote in a debate article in newspaper Dagens Nyheter: “It is not defensible to export weapons to a cruel regime”.      https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2015/02/22/swedish-socialist-left-wing-pm-under-fire-over-saudi-arms-deal/

Secret Phone Taps Reveal Turkish Military Aiding ISIS
(theconservativetreehouse.com) - It has been outlined by independent journalists that Turkey has been aiding ISIS in various conflicts around Turkish border region. There was video smuggled out of Turkey which showed ISIS members meeting with Turkish Police...An American journalist, Serena Shim, who reported on the Turks aid for the Islamic Terror State, was mysteriously killed soon after outlining a very similar story. At each occurrence the official position of Turkey and Recep Erdogan is that they have NOT aided ISIS, despite the numerous and frequent accusations of the Kurds who have outlined the support.       http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/02/22/secret-phone-taps-reveal-turkish-military-aiding-isis-in-northern-iraq-and-syria/

Secret memo reveals Pollard sentence a sham
(Aaron Klein) - With little fanfare and no news media coverage, a dramatic, potentially game-changing development in the Jonathan Pollard spy case quietly occurred three months ago...After years of failed efforts petitioning the government and the court system to gain access to the classified material used to sentence their client, Pollards’ security-cleared attorneys finally won an appeal for declassification last fall. As a result of the appeal, key sections of a 28-year-old classified document that was the central justification for Pollard’s unprecedentedly harsh sentence were declassified and released Nov. 13, 2014.       http://www.wnd.com/2015/02/exposed-secret-memo-reveals-pollard-sentence-a-sham/

 Stop the Islamic Affirmative Action
(Sean Aland) - Affirmative action gives individuals or groups special or preferential treatment, and in some cases what they have not earned. The program plays favorites and gives no incentive to succeed by adhering to the rules in place...Since 9-11 we have treated Islam with kid gloves and allowed them special treatment even when not deserved. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was quick to coin the term Islamaphobic to silence anyone who would speak out against Islam, when they are Xenophobic, Christophobic and Ameriphobic. They point the finger, probably the middle one, at anyone holding the Islamic world accountable. I will state right up front that I have Muslim friends and served with Muslims in the military that I respect and trust because I know how much they love the US by how they served honorably. For all others unwilling to speak out against the barbaric acts of Islamic extremists, and militant Islam it is time to start or stop crying when assumed to be the problem.       http://patriotupdate.com/articles/stop-the-islamic-affirmative-action/

Bald-Faced Liar, Homeland Vulnerability Secretary Johnson
(Rick Wells) - DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, as the architect of illegal amnesty, certainly has a dog in the fight. His job is to deconstruct our national security and sovereignty...Illegal amnesty, together with lax immigration enforcement, is a key component of that effort. He’s been on the stump making the argument for a “clean” funding bill ever since the CRomnibus was passed with the February DHS funding expiration. Lying to the American people, as with most of the members of Team nObama, is just part of Johnson’s job. With Marxists the end justifies the means, and for anti-American operatives such as Johnson, breaking the law, violating the Constitution and deception are simply what he does and who he is. Just as with the government shutdown showdown of 2013, Democrats are maneuvering their way into a position in which to attempt to force Republicans to cave to their demands and endorse the criminality of the White House, violate their oaths, violate the Constitution and seriously endanger American sovereignty. Be strong Republicans for most of America are behind you.  nObama’s Open Borders, Puts American Families At Risk
(Rick Wells) - Every cognizant American outside of the nObama regime is acutely aware of the fact that if you import people from terrorist nations you are inevitably going to import terrorists as well...If you have lax and ineffective vetting of those individuals, the situation becomes much worse and the risk of attack much greater. It is the American people, not the criminally irresponsible or complicit politicians who will pay the price for their reckless actions. Even though we recognize and are vocal in opposition to what the power elites are doing to us, are calls go unanswered. The list of terrorist nations from which we draw the “must have” imported population they are flooding us with increases every year as do their numbers, with ineffective screening and vetting providing a only the flimsiest veil of rationality or security.       http://www.rickwells.us/obamas-open-borders-islamist-importation-putting-american-families-at-risk-mall-of-america-threatened/

Senate Republicans eye new strategy in immigration fight
(Alexander Bolton) - Senate Republican leaders are plotting a new strategy that they hope will allow them to prevent a shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) next week...They are considering a plan in which they would split off legislation attacking President nObama’s executive action on immigration from funding for DHS, according to a Senate GOP aide familiar with the discussions. Senate GOP leaders are also looking at dropping any effort to overturn nObama’s 2012 executive action, which set up the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Polls suggest this program is more popular because it helps illegal immigrants who came to the country as children.       http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/233393-senate-republicans-eye-new-strategy-in-immigration-fight

 The Mysterious “Frank” Returns
(Cliff Kincaid) - Yesterday’s news became big news on the Fox News Channel on Thursday when former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani brought up the name of President Barack nObama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis...It was almost seven years to the day when we published our seminal piece about Davis, “nObama’s Communist Mentor.” Davis was a member of the Communist Party and a suspected Soviet espionage agent. He was included in the FBI’s security index, meaning that Davis could be arrested or detained in the event of a national emergency. The FBI file on Davis documents his anti-white and pro-Soviet views, infiltration of the Hawaii Democratic Party, and other activities. Giuliani’s public identification of Davis and discussion of his role in grooming a young Barack nObama marks the first time, in my memory, that a top Republican has ever mentioned the Davis-nObama relationship. It was done in the context of Fox News’ Megyn Kelly of questioning how Giuliani could dare ask whether nObama loves America.       http://www.aim.org/aim-column/the-mysterious-frank-returns/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email022315&utm_medium=email

16 States Who Have All Launched Legislation to BAN Shariah Law
(conservativetribune.com) - When state legislators begin talking about banning Shariah law, Islamic groups come out of the woodwork in an effort to dampen or completely stop it from happening...especially groups like the Council on Islamic-American Relations...Their primary argument is always the same — “Islamophobia.” That’s the same argument used when conservative media reports terrorist attacks from the Islamic State group and when parents get upset when their child brings home Islamic propaganda for homework assignments. Sometimes it even scares courts into favoring Islamic law over American law and that’s a serious problem. But the good news is that CAIR identified a growing list of states who’re simply not worried what groups like CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood have to say. All they’re interested in is the outright ban of Shariah law and are attempting to pass laws to do so.       http://conservativetribune.com/16-states-banning-shariah/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_content=936184&utm_campaign=0
It's Not Easy Being Green

Portland Harbor from South Portland February 2015

(tommclaughlin.blogspot.com) - Portland Harbor froze over for the first time in thirty-five years. That presents a dilemma for people around the southern Maine area for several reasons. Ice breakers are necessary to keep shipping lanes open. Ferries to the islands get more difficult too, but the hardest thing is explaining how this could happen when you and your fellow greenies — the dominant species around the greater Portland area — have been wailing about the dangers of global warming for decades. The polar ice cap was supposed to have disappeared by now, but locals are looking over their shoulders this winter for fear that ice cap may creep south and take over our state the way it did four times before — and melting the last time only 12,000 years ago. This month will go down at the coldest February on record.

Poor Adam (From Portland Press Herald)

Adam Souza’s car was destroyed in Portland last weekend when huge ice chunks fell on it from a five-story building. “They told me my insurance doesn’t cover an act of nature,” he said. I have to wonder: what if the car had been submerged by rising ocean waters the greenies predicted? Would he be able to sue oil companies? Would he have been able to insist it was human-caused, and not an act of nature? Other Portland residents are reminded they have to shovel snow off sidewalks in front of their houses, but they wonder where they’re going to put it. Snowbanks are already so high they have to drive halfway onto the street to see if there are any cars coming. Body shops say there are three times more cars with collision damage compared to past winters.

Boston

Then there are the endless stories from other greenies in Boston where winter snows keep piling up and below normal temperatures prevent any of it from melting back. Environmental cassandras like Robert Kennedy Jr and Bill McKibben are still insisting it’s all caused by global warming. “Climate change is a time test,” claims McKibben. “If we don’t act very quickly — well, Boston is getting a taste right now of what a changed climate looks like.” He’s the leading cassandra of the global warming movement and likely will be the last to admit it’s really mass hysteria.

bill_mckibben2-620x412.jpg
Coo-Coo McKibben

Kennedy, meanwhile, is trying to convince Harvard to divest from fossil fuels to prevent catastrophic global warming. He wants to lead “Heat Week” sit-ins for students to pressure the university. They’re going to have to shovel out some space for the students to sit, unless they want fashion Cambridge’s enormous snow banks into chairs somehow.

Massachusetts

Greenies at the Washington Post are struggling desperately to keep their “climate change” house of cards from collapsing with a recent headline: “What the massive snowfall in Boston tells us about global warming.” They just won’t give up, insisting: “It doesn’t yet for most of us, but sooner or later we’re going to have to get past the idea that global warming and huge amounts of snow are somehow contradictory.” Contradictory? Who would ever think that? Kermit The Frog warned us all a long time ago that it’s not easy being green. These are indeed very difficult times for greenies. As Kermit sang:

being-green-large.jpg

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder?
Why Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.

Penn State’s Michael Mann, author of the dubious “hockey stick graph” touted by Al Gore, still insists all this snow and cold is indeed caused by global warming: “storms will be feeding off these very warm seas, producing very large amounts of snow as spiraling winds of the storm squeeze that moisture out of the air, cool, it, and deposit it as snow inland.” Warm seas? They don’t appear warm to me when I look out over the ice in Portland Harbor.

Portland from Bug Light Park last week

Scott Peck, a psychiatrist who had some best-selling books back in the 1980s, described the greenie dilemma well: “Our view of reality is like a map with which to negotiate the terrain of life.” He said we construct one in adolescence and try to use it without modification throughout life. It’s tough to admit we’ve been wrong even in the face of overwhelming evidence. “Life is difficult,” he said. To even consider we may be wrong about the way we understand things is hard enough. Admitting it to ourselves and others is even harder. Constructing a new life map is the hardest of all, so most of us never undertake the effort
Portland%2BHead%2BLight%2B%C2%A9Tom%2BMcLaughlin%2B2015.jpg
Portland Head Light last week

It’s especially hard for the head greenies like President nObama and Secretary of State Hanoi John Kerry, who keep insisting that global warming is more dangerous to us than Islamic terrorism, I mean “extremist violence.”
