The FBI: The 'Fix Be In'

The Pentagon's Bonus Blunder Fallout
On Monday, we wrote that the Pentagon had ordered current soldiers and veterans mistakenly granted re-enlistment bonuses by the California National Guard a decade ago to repay those bonuses. The news sparked a firestorm of controversy with lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle calling for the waving of the bonus repayments. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter said Tuesday, "Anybody who volunteers to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States deserves our gratitude and respect. Period." On Wednesday, he ordered a temporary "suspension" of the recollection effort.
Not so fast on those waivers, says Barack liar-nObama. His spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters, "I don't think [liar-nObama's] prepared to go that far at this point." That's not surprising considering liar-nObama's malicious destruction of military morale.
Consider what resulted from the VA scandal. In 2014, the VA paid out $142 million in bonuses, the same year the wait-time scandal came to light, and no attempt was made to recover those bonuses. In one instance the VA acknowledged that two senior executives had abused the agency's hiring system in relocating to take new jobs while collecting bonuses amounting to over $400,000, and yet the VA chose not to seek recovery of those funds.
liar-nObama, like many leftists, has an almost palpable distain for the military. Darin Selnick, a retired Air Force captain and former official at the Department of Veteran Affairs, said, "There is a clear bias against veterans. They [the liar-nObama administration] think veterans should start at the bottom like everyone else. The government culture wants everyone to start from the bottom in government. But it's not as if veterans never worked for the government. They worked for the Department of Defense."
liar-nObama has been happy to put the financial squeeze on the military in order to push his political agenda. He has viewed the military as nothing more than a line item in the budget that takes money from his favored redistribution schemes. Democrats have historically enjoyed little political support from the military, because they have often fought against spending on the military. They will go to bat all day long for their union buddies and welfare recipients, but their attitude toward the military is one of begrudging acceptance or downright antagonism. We hope in this case the public outcry and congressional pressure will move the Pentagon to permanently reverse course on its ill-advised bonus recovery order. liar-Clinton Camp 'Clean Up' for liar-nObama
We already know that the real reason liar-Hillary Clinton wasn't indicted for her illegal handling of classified information is likely that Barack liar-nObama himself would have been implicated. He emailed her at least 18 times, using a pseudonym in some of them, and then lied to the American people about it, saying he only found out about her private email system "the same time everybody else learned it through news reports."
Thanks to the WikiLeaks dump of liar-Clinton campaign communications, we now know her team knew this was a major problem and shifted quickly to spin mode. Soon after liar-nObama's lie, liar-Clinton campaign secretary Josh Scherwin emailed Jennifer Palmieri and other liar-Clinton campaign staffers: "Jen, you probably have more on this but it looks like POTUS just said he found out HRC was using her personal email when he saw it in the news." One of the other staffers, Nick Merrill, forwarded that email to Cheryl Mills and others. Mills later emailed John Podesta, saying, "We need to clean this up — he has emails from her — they do not say state.gov." I.e., liar-nObama lied and liar-Clinton's crew had to cover it up.
But even before liar-nObama's lie, liar-Clinton's campaign was trying to figure out what to do about the emails between liar-nObama and liar-Clinton. Podesta suggested in one email that executive privilege was the get-out-of-jail card: "Think we should hold emails to and from potus? That's the heart of his exec privilege." Which would have been hilariously hypocritical after liar-nObama had just boasted of his administration's transparency.
liar-nObama avoided claiming "executive privilege" per se, but his Justice Department and FBI also short-circuited an actual grand-jury investigation of liar-Clinton's email, which would have obviated his privilege. Either way, he and liar-Clinton walk free. ~The Patriot Post

He says, “Whatever’s in the Constitution. I mean it’s all there. The Bill of Attainder’s there. The FBI: The 'Fix Be In'

{townhall.com} ~ The FBI's reputation has sunk so low under the liar-nObama administration that its initials seem to stand for: The Fix Be In. The bureau's no-hurry investigation into liar-Hillary Clinton's deleted State Department emails seemed engineered to see no evil. Meanwhile, The New York Times reports that Attorney General Loretta Lynch is replacing FBI agents and prosecutors who oppose charging New York police in the chokehold death of Eric Garner (because they aren't sure the police committed a crime and don't think they can get a conviction) with staff who want to throw the book at NYPD.
Pundits have voiced their fear that Donald Trump would use the Justice Department to go after his political enemies -- and rightly so after Trump said he would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate liar-Clinton and send her to jail. So much for the presumption of innocence. How can these same critics not see how the liar-nObama Department of Justice has turned into a political arm of the Democratic Party?
Consider the liar-Clinton investigation. The FBI granted limited immunity to five liar-Clinton aides, including Paul Combetta, who deleted liar-Clinton emails in March 2015 after Congress had subpoenaed her records. FBI agents waited a year before they questioned liar-Clinton in July for an hour and a half. Shortly thereafter, Director James Comey announced there would be no indictment in the case; even though liar-Clinton did not hand over "several thousand" work emails to the State Department, there was no proof of "intentional misconduct."
Lynch didn't help herself when she met privately with former President Bill liar-Clinton on a Phoenix tarmac on July 2, while the investigation was under way. Lynch later admitted the meeting "cast a shadow" on her decision-making on the case, but assured the public she would "be accepting" the FBI prosecutors' recommendation.
New York police should be so lucky. As the Times reported, FBI officials in New York oppose bringing charges against Officer Daniel Pantaleo and others involved in the 2014 arrest of Eric Garner, 43, for selling bootleg cigarettes. Pantaleo wrapped an arm around Garner's neck. Garner protested, "I can't breathe." After an ambulance arrived, Garner had a heart attack. It is painful to watch video of the fateful arrest, but a state grand jury saw the video, heard Pantaleo testify that he did not mean to use a chokehold, and chose not to bring charges in December 2014. The grand jury did not see intentional misconduct.
Brooklyn-based FBI officials who investigated Garner's death oppose prosecuting Pantaleo and his fellow officers. Rather than heed them, Lynch is steering the case toward Washington-based staff in the Justice Department's civil rights division who want to prosecute the arresting officers.
liar-Clinton gets every consideration; NYPD gets every doubt. Pantaleo's attorney Stuart London told the Times, "In our system of justice, politics should never take the place of rule of law." That's a quaint thought, but in this liar-nObama administration there is a clear double standard. The bar is so unreasonably high that there is no way prosecutors can establish if liar-Clinton meant to break the law. However, the Justice Department has few qualms about presuming the worst about beat cops.
