Trump Says Military Will Build The Wall,
It’s Funded, Starting Immediately
{ rickwells.us } ~ Perhaps President Trump watched the Ann Coulter interview with Judge Jeanine Pirro on Saturday, read my article on the topic on Friday... or already had his scheme worked out ahead of time for building the border wall now, without any further delays or exposure to the associated hazards to our nation that the open borders inflict on a daily basis. It could be that he’s been planning this tactic for his entire presidency, as a means to get around the appropriations obstruction the Democrats and open borders RINOs are using to prevent any real progress. He has the prototypes to choose from and the exemption for the Environmental impact assessments courtesy of a proper decision by Judge Curiel. The money has been given to the military in record amounts and is more than sufficient, it seems from his tweets, to immediately begin wall construction. A wall is a defensive barrier, it naturally should be constructed by the Defense Department. Viewing the border crisis as it truly is, an issue of national security, the most logical action is to engage the military in our defense. President Trump tweeted Sunday that the $1.6 billion is just a down payment, work will start immediately and that the rest of the money will come. It appears that the money is already in hand, with the omnibus bill allocating $655 billion to fight the war on terror. Mattis has plenty in the DoD account, it’s just a matter of him writing the check....

{ rickwells.us } ~ Rep Devin Nunes, who comes from a farming background as a dairyman, addresses the topic of President Trump imposing tariffs on China and the retaliations they have threatened... saying that China is a big problem and that the House Intelligence Committee is involved in “investigating many aspects of China.” He states unequivocally that “China is in fact stealing our intellectual property, they’re spreading globally, they continue to manipulate currencies, so China has to be taken on.” He points out that “Every President has said they’re going to get tough on people who cheat on trade. This President is actually doing it,” saying as it happens we’re going to have to watch the markets and that every trade agreement is going to be negotiated. { americanthinker.com } ~ Irony has been redefined in the omnibus budget bill, where there is funding for both fighting opioid addiction and Planned Parenthood... meaning the government is simultaneously paying for the saving and destruction of human life. Defunding Planned Parenthood is something more than a campaign promise. Life is supposed to be the first unalienable right conferred on us by our Creator. Liberals are also supposed to be in favor of "safe spaces." One would think the womb should be the safest space of all. It is not so considered on K Street. The leading cause of death for Americans under 50 years old is abortion, the single largest practitioner of which is Planned Parenthood....

The Stormy Daniels story
is not about Stormy Daniels

{ legalinsurrection.com } ~ I didn’t plan on watching the 60 Minutes interview of “Stormy Daniels.” And I didn’t watch it when it first aired.
But I did later read the transcript, and some things jumped out at me that led me to watch at the 60 Minutes website.

Some observations, in no particular order.
1. Anderson Cooper did a good job. He asked the right questions about her credibility and that of her lawyer Michael Avennatti (a former Rahm Emanuel oppo researcher and obviously someone seeking to make name for himself as a hero of #TheResistance). Cooper conducted himself as professionally as possible given the subject matter.
2. This is not Bill Clinton stuff. No allegation of sexual harassment or assault (Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick, etc.), or abusing power over an underling (Lewinsky). It’s not even Al Franken territory of alleged non-consensual sexual touching. According to Daniels, there was a single encounter in 2006 that was completely consensual.
3. No minds were changed about Trump as a result of the interview or the story itself. Trump allegedly cheating on a wife is a Casablanca moment. No one actually cares about the story, it’s just political posturing.
4. The Stormy Daniels story is not about Stormy Daniels. It’s about removing Trump from office in one of two ways:
(a) getting Trump under oath in the hope that he will lie, providing a basis for impeachment should Democrats regain control of the House and Senate, or prosecution.
(b) providing material for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to use to try to pressure Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen into turning on Trump.
It will take time to percolate, but I have zero doubt that this is not about clearing Stormy Daniel’s name, as she claimed, or about righteousness, as Avenatti claimed was his motivation. It’s about #TheResistance.
As such, this non-story holds great danger for Trump.
