Federal judge orders scumbag/liar-Hillary
Clinton deposition to address private emails:
'Still more to learn'
By Ronn Blitzer
{ foxnews.com } ~ A federal judge Monday granted a request from conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch to have former Secretary of State scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton sit for a sworn deposition to answer questions... about her use of a private email server to conduct government business. scumbag/liar-Clinton has argued that she has already answered questions about this and should not have to do so again, but D.C. District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth said in his ruling that her past responses left much to be desired. "As extensive as the existing record is, it does not sufficiently explain Secretary scumbag/liar-Clinton’s state of mind when she decided it would be an acceptable practice to set up and use a private server to conduct State Department business," Lamberth said. The judge went on to recognize that while scumbag/liar-Clinton responded to written questions in a separate case, "those responses were either incomplete, unhelpful, or cursory at best. Simply put her responses left many more questions than answers.” Lamberth said that using written questions this time “will only muddle any understanding of Secretary scumbag/liar-Clinton’s state of mind and fail to capture the full picture, this delaying the final disposition of this case even further.” The ruling comes after Judicial Watch revealed at a December 2019 status conference that the FBI released "approximately thirty previously undisclosed scumbag/liar-Clinton emails," and that the State Department "failed to fully explain" where they came from. The State Department has been pushing for the discovery phase of the case to come to a close, but Lamberth said he is not ready to do so, saying that "there is still more to learn."

First Tiny Home Community for
the Homeless in San José Opens
by Emma Fiala
{ activistpost.com } ~ More than 6,000 homeless people live in San José, California, and thanks to a years-long effort they will now have access to tools to help themselves get off the streets... and into permanent housing thanks to an innovative initiative. With bike racks and freshly planted flowers, The Maybury Bridge Housing Project serves as a place for the homeless population of San José to receive support while searching for permanent housing. San José Mayor Sam Liccardo, California Governor scumbag-Gavin Newsom, and nonprofit HomeFirst CEO Andrea Urton were all present at Thursday’s grand opening celebration.“This is intended to have individuals become acclimated to being part of a community, to learning how to take care of their units, building independent living skills,” Beatriz Ramos with HomeFirst explained. In December 2018, the San José City Council approved the project but it was delayed due to community pushback as well as legislative roadblocks. As a result, Governor scumbag-Newsom recently said he will create a streamlined process to approve and develop projects like this one. “If we can get the obstacles out of the way, cities can move quickly to address this crisis,” Liccardo told San José Spotlight. “We came together as a community because we learned through this process that it takes a village to build a tiny home village,” Liccardo also said. “We are housing people, and that is critical, but we know we have much more work to do because we need many more resources.” One such resource is Measure E, which seeks to boost the availability of affordable housing. On March 3 voters will have their say in whether Measure E moves forward or not...

Coronavirus: Let’s Talk About Quarantine
by MELISSA MACKENZIE
{ spectator.org } ~ Coronavirus, the mysterious illness blanketing the world courtesy of China, continues to spread... The United States has been, until this past weekend, spared breakout flares. They are occurring now. Soon, and with better and more ubiquitous testing, America’s COVID-19 numbers will spike. That will scare a lot of people. It shouldn’t. It’s what happens when the government broadens testing criteria and has more effective tests. When local COVID-19 hotspots happen, some communities, school systems, hospital systems, etc. will be under quarantine. Many of those tangentially related to the outbreak will be asked to quarantine at home. It’s time to think ahead about this possibility. And it’s time to plan for how to handle it. What’s your qualification to write about this, Melissa? You’re no epidemiologist. True enough. What I am, though, is the mom of a child who was immune compromised for over two years, and we spent one year in strict, home-based isolation. I’ve been through it twice. Once when my oldest was born prematurely and was released from the hospital at 4 pounds 6 ounces in October due to the incoming onslaught of RSV patients. It was safer for a baby who couldn’t yet fully regulate his temperature at home then it was in the Pediatric ICU. The second time, my son had Severe Aplastic Anemia. He had no immune system for about six months before being admitted for his bone marrow transplant. And then, he had a fledgling immune system for a year after he was released from the hospital. I know all about n95 and n99 masks. I’ve worn them, as has my sick child. I’ve cleaned pic lines and administered medication. And then there’s all the environmental cleaning. There are the at-home procedures to keep the compromised person isolated while keeping other family members isolated, in the same house, to prevent the illness transferring. It’s not fun, but it is doable. In this article, I’m going to write about quarantine. My recent articles have included the topics about coronavirus avoidance, preparing for a pandemic, how America’s vulnerabilities are being exposed, and how communism helped spread the coronavirus. My purpose is not to cause alarm, but to provoke people to prepare, be calm, and act reasonably...

On Election Day: IDF thwarts a
sniper attack near the Syrian border
By ANNA AHRONHEIM
{ jpost.com } ~ The IDF thwarted a sniper attack in the Golan Heights on Monday, striking a vehicle near the border... “IDF forces identified an attempted sniper attack in the northern Golan Heights and acted to thwart it, striking the vehicle involved in the attempt,” the army said. Syria’s SANA state news agency reported that the vehicle struck was a civilian car in the city of Quneitra, while opposition reports said the car was carrying militiamen loyal to the Assad regime. The thwarted attack came as thousands of Israelis headed to the polls. “Even on Election Day, our enemies are trying to hurt us, hurt the citizens of Israel and disrupt the routine of our lives,” said Defense Minister Naftali Bennett. “Even today, like throughout the year, we will stop our enemies and prevent them from disrupting the routine of our lives.” On Thursday, a man was killed in an alleged Israeli drone strike as he was driving his motorcycle near the village of Hadar in the southern Syrian Quneitra province. While Syrian regime sources reported that the man was a civilian, according to other unconfirmed reports, the man was identified as Emad al-Tawil, a Hezbollah operative active in establishing and entrenching a covert force in the Syrian Golan Heights that is designed to act against Israel. Senior intelligence officers in the IDF’s Northern Command said Hezbollah’s Golan Project began last summer following the reconquering of the Syrian Golan by regime troops...

With “Shot Caller” Of Top Gang
by DEAN JAMES
{ rightwingtribune.com } ~ Kenji M. Price, the United States Attorney for the District of Hawaii, Jonathan E. Blais, Special Agent in Charge of the Seattle Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”)... Todd Raybuck, Chief of the Kauai Police Department (“KPD”), and Lucia Cabral-Dearmas, Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, Honolulu Office (“HSI”) announced the unsealing of an Indictment today charging ARTHUR BRUN, and 11 other defendants with conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. The Indictment also charges substantive drug trafficking offenses, an assault on a federal law enforcement officer, witness tampering, evidence tampering, and firearm offenses. As alleged in the Indictment, BRUN participated in these offenses while serving as an elected member of the Kauai County Council. Eleven of the defendants were arrested yesterday and will be arraigned in federal court later today before the Honorable Rom Trader, United States Magistrate Judge. The twelfth defendant, ORLANDO MANGUCHEI, was already in federal custody serving a sentence for violating the terms of supervised release. As alleged in the Indictment unsealed yesterday: From at least June 2019, and continuing to in or about January 2020, ARTHUR BRUN, aka “Ata,” MALUELUE UMU, aka “Malu,” KELVIN KAUWILA KAI, aka “Kauwila,” STEVEN KELIIKULI, KANIU HUIHUI, SHEENA MILLARE, EFREN YANOS, KIRSTEN MAKANOE AYAU, aka “Makanoe,” ORLANDO MANGUCHEI, aka “Ole,” ROBBY SILVA, HAIDEE SUEYASU, and PHRYSTAL BACIO, the defendants, and others known and unknown, conspired to distribute and possess with intent to distribute a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. BRUN ran this drug trafficking conspiracy while, at the same time, serving as an elected member of the Kauai County Council and the Vice Chair of its Public Safety & Human Services Committee. One of BRUN’s suppliers of methamphetamine was UMU, who was a “shot caller,” or leader, of the United Samoan Organization, a gang that operates both inside and outside of the prison system in the State of Hawaii. On or about October 29, 2019, BRUN assaulted a state law enforcement officer who was acting in cooperation with and under the control of federal officers. BRUN committed this assault during a traffic stop in an effort to conceal methamphetamine that he had in his possession at the time. The officer asked BRUN to get out of his car and gave him other instructions...

scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff’s Challenger
Says Congressman Has Ignored
District for Fame
by totalconservative.com ~ Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff has done an excellent job over the last year or so, if you consider getting your face on television to be the primary job of a U.S. lawmaker... Because, damn, the guy has definitely done that. But according to the Republican challenging scumbag/liar-Schiff for California’s 28th congressional district, that actually doesn’t have anything to do with representing the will of the American people, much less the constituents in scumbag/liar-Schiff’s district. Eric Early says that if voters elect him to Congress, he’ll spend his time working for them instead of chasing the fame train. “He’s spent too much time in Washington seeking the limelight,” Early said of scumbag/liar-Schiff in an interview with a local Fox affiliate. “It’s time for a congressman to be here who actually cares about our district.” The interview, which took place during a tour of the 28th district, allowed Early to expound on the problems facing scumbag/liar-Schiff’s hometown...

The Fight Over FISAMichael Swartz When it comes to public awareness about federal policy, the biggest fights often occur at budget time. These high-stakes fiscal poker games make headlines for weeks, particularly when a government shutdown looms.
These battles include periodic reauthorizations of government programs, one of which is the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, better known as FISA. Several provisions of FISA and its younger brethren, the PATRIOT Act, will expire on March 15 unless Congress acts to reauthorize them or grant a second extension. These portions of FISA and the PATRIOT Act were originally slated to expire last December 15, but Congress opted to extend the deadline pending the report of Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz regarding the scumbag/liar-nObama administration’s abuse of the FISA process to spy on the Trump campaign, ostensibly for collusion with Russia.
With that voluminous report on the Carter Page saga and the FBI’s 17 instances of abuse now part of the public record, the reauthorization of FISA has set off intra-party bickering on both sides of the aisle.
Democrats in the House reportedly had a carefully crafted compromise, the USA FREEDOM Reauthorization Act of 2020, teed up and ready to go; however, a committee meeting necessary for its passage was scrubbed when Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California, a longtime critic of the FISA law, announced she would propose her own amendments to what she termed a “puny reform.” (One key aspect of the proposed bill, however, was the elimination of the call-records data program used to snoop out cellphone data.)
The break on the Republican side, however, is more complex. On one side are civil-libertarian reformers such as Sens. Rand Paul and Mike Lee, and Reps. Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows, who have expressed their desire for reform. “scumbag-Comey’s FBI misled the FISA Court 17 times,” Jordan tweeted. “We can’t simply reauthorize the system that allowed those lies and omissions to happen.” Most Republicans, though, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, are open to a “clean” reauthorization, having heard assurances from Attorney General William Barr that he could make the necessary changes internally. Skeptics of that deal argue that Barr “can’t be trusted” and that it would further remove Congress from needed oversight of the executive branch.
In this case, it appears the head of the executive branch is siding with the reformers, in part because he was perfectly willing at one time to eliminate the FISA apparatus entirely. In discussing the pending reauthorization of FISA with Barr last year, President Donald Trump reportedly said, “I trust you, Bill, but if it was up to me, we’d get rid of the whole thing.”
With so many options out there, the most likely outcome will be to kick the can down the road, perhaps eventually hammering out a “reform” too weak to satisfy those lawmakers interested in safeguarding civil liberties.
Absent significant and needed reforms, however, the potential for abuse of the FISA system will remain temptingly close at hand, and the people’s mistrust of their government will increase accordingly.
