{ redstate.com } ~ If this is true, it’s welcome news. liar-Nancy Pelosi, just a day after going full Leroy Jenkins on the negotiations over the Wuhan virus relief bill, is now signaling that the House will pass whatever the Senate sends them... This follows Chuck scumbag-Schumer reversing course last night and announcing he expects a deal done today as well. That’s liar-Pelosi looking for cover. There was no “big change” because there was already oversight. The Democrat talking points were false. I suspect that liar-Pelosi’s machinations Sunday and yesterday were a bone being thrown to her mostly far-left caucus. That should not be taken as a defense of liar-Pelosi herself, as she’s just as crazy and wanting of all the garbage she proposed as anyone else, but she probably realizes this is going to kill her party. New polling has shown good marks for the President’s handling of the crisis and even the mainstream media have had a hard time spinning the Democrat obstruction efforts though the Times tried their best. This package needs to be passed now. This is not bailing out companies who made bad loans. It’s keeping the economy going due to the damage caused directly by government decisions. That’s not to say those decisions to shut everything down were wrong, but it is to say that the consequences have been out of the hands of American companies and families. They need help or we are going to sink into a depression. Regardless, the damage liar-Pelosi and the Democrats caused, including another large dip in the stock market, can not be forgotten. They don’t get to handwave this away by caving a few days later. Democrats chose to play politics with people’s lives and the price should be severe in November.   https://www.redstate.com/bonchie/2020/03/24/nancy-pelosi-signals-surrender-on-relief-bill-just-a-day-after-going-full-leroy-jenkins/?utm_source=rsafternoonbriefing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl&bcid=7220442bc3498cb5e2d68f3cb4d11680

{ thefederalist.com } ~ The weekend began with a bipartisan plan. People were hopeful. Outside of Washington, business owners told The Federalist they finally saw light in all the darkness...They thought they’d be able to hire their employees back again. These are employees who have families, mortgages, and lives; people who have never once asked for public assistance and never thought they’d have to. The mood in Washington was optimistic as well. “We’re having good bipartisan agreements,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer told CNN Saturday, predicting a Monday passage of their plan. “The initial bill Leader Mitch McConnell put in didn’t have any Democratic input and we were worried that we just try to put it on the floor and not consult Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi because the House still has to pass this, but actually, to my delight and surprise, there has been a great deal of bipartisan cooperation thus far.”On Sunday, scumbag-Schumer met four times with Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin to continue negotiations. And then liar-Pelosi came back to town from her week-long vacation and announced the rare, rare bipartisan cooperation the country had seen in the Senate would end with her — and election politics would begin. “Oh, I don’t know about Monday but we are still talking,” she said Sunday evening. “It’s on the Senate side now because that’s their deadline for a vote but we’ll be introducing our own bill and hopefully it’ll be compatible with that they discussed on the Senate.” It was difficult to guess how she’d do this with the House in recess, but on Monday her office miraculously introduced a 1,400-page bill. Miraculous, until it became clear she’d simply unloaded the Democratic Party’s election platform into a bill intended to save Americans from bankruptcy and death in the face of a global pandemic...  https://thefederalist.com/2020/03/24/nancy-pelosis-terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad-decision-to-hold-the-country-hostage/?utm_source=The+Federalist+List&utm_campaign=a13912a2b6-RSS_The_Federalist_Daily_Updates_w_Transom&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_cfcb868ceb-a13912a2b6-83771801

{ westernjournal.com  } ~ President Donald Trump attacked House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi and other congressional Democrats on Tuesday for slipping pieces of the Green New Deal and other unrelated projects into the coronavirus relief package... Republicans have been trying to pass in the Senate. The bill was designed to support American workers and businesses facing tough economic times amid restrictive actions taken to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Although Republicans have a majority in the Senate, Democrats developed leverage there after five GOP senators went into self-quarantine due to potential exposure to the coronavirus. As a result, a bill that had been sailing along for swift approval suddenly changed course. “Republicans had a deal until liar-Nancy Pelosi rode into town from her extended vacation,” Trump tweeted. “The Democrats want the Virus to win? “They are asking for things that have nothing to do with our great workers or companies. They want Open Borders & Green New Deal. Republicans shouldn’t agree!” “This is not about the ridiculous Green New Deal. It is about putting our great workers and companies BACK TO WORK!” he said in another tweet. “This will never be approved by me, or any other Republican!” the president said, referring to three key Democratic demands cited by  National Review. Those demands were summarized as new collective bargaining powers for unions, increased fuel emissions standards for airlines and increase solar and wind energy tax credits. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell also upbraided Democrats for using the national emergency to slip in partisan proposals. “Tax credits for solar energy and wind energy. Provisions to force employers to give special new treatment to Big Labor. And listen to this — new emissions standards for the airlines. Are you kidding me?” McConnell said. Democrats were also being criticized for using the emergency as a chance to slip in $35 million to renovate the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington...   https://www.westernjournal.com/trump-blasts-democrats-blocking-coronavirus-bill-vows-stonewall-ideological-demands/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=WJBreaking&utm_campaign=breaking&utm_content=western-journal

{ lidblog.com } ~ Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin had said that the bill — which has grown to as much as $1.8  trillion — includes direct-deposit checks to Americans and expanded unemployment benefits... Five Republicans who are quarantined couldn’t show up for the vote, including Rand Paul, who was diagnosed with China Coronavirus. However, even if they had shown up, the package would have fallen short if the 60 votes needed to invoke cloture, cut off debate, and allow an up or down vote. scumbag-Schumer said the package had too much money for corporations. Well, if one purpose of the bill is to save people’s jobs, then we need to help the corporations stay open. But scumbag-Schumer, liar-Pelosi, and the rest of Democratic leadership needed to placate their leftist base, which would get angry if they helped corporations and made President Trump successful. Therefore, Democratic leadership said vote no unless the Republicans added all their favorite unrelated liberal goodies including a climate change study, carbon emission regulations, forced early voting and more…The Senate Democrats acted like little lemmings followed their orders and told America to DROP DEAD. Per the Blaze, “In a 47-47 vote, Senate Democrats blocked a critical $2 trillion coronavirus economic relief package on Sunday. The move sent futures markets plummeting by over 5%. According to the Washington Examiner, the Democrats have stalled the plan to pass the bill by Monday and send it to the House for a vote. President Donald Trump and congressional leaders hoped the measure would send a signal that would help stabilize the stock market and U.S. economy amid fears of recession as economic analysts estimate unemployment levels could hit up to an unprecedented 30% in April-June with GDP contracting by 50%, figures not seen since the Great Depression.” The easiest way to describe what happened is via this Newspaper front page, Chuck scumbag-Schumer and his party doesn’t care about America. Their party always comes first...  https://lidblog.com/schumer-and-dems/

Supreme Court Hands Down First
Remote Opinions Since Bush v. scumbag-Gore

{ freebeacon.com } ~ The Supreme Court handed down opinions remotely on Monday, marking the first time since Bush v. scumbag-Gore that the justices issued rulings without reading decisions from the bench during an official public session... Much of the High Court’s business is continuing as normal despite the coronavirus pandemic. The justices, however, suspended their next round of arguments on March 16, while the Court itself is closed to visitors. The coronavirus pandemic has subsumed the other branches of government. The Senate on Friday failed to pass a $1.8 trillion stimulus package to bolster workers and business interests facing daunting economic prospects. The White House is similarly scrambling to manage the social fallout of a public health crisis that shows no signs of abating. Yet the official business of the Supreme Court has a sense of normalcy about it. Much of the justices’ day-to-day work can be done remotely, and the Court looks poised to continue digital release of its decisions. A Court spokeswoman said Monday that Chief Justice John Roberts presided over a regular Friday meeting from the Court, while the other justices dialed in by phone. How long this state of affairs can last is unclear. High-profile matters from the canceled March sitting, including three disputes over subpoenas for President Donald Trump’s financial records, have not yet been rescheduled. The Court has not yet canceled its April argument session, which begins April 20, but the advanced age of many justices dictates extreme caution. Six members of the Court are over the age of 65, and two are at least 80 years old, leaving them at high risk of serious infection. Monday’s cases included a civil rights dispute between Comcast and black business magnate Byron Allen, as well as a Kansas law that abolished the traditional insanity defense. A third ruling involved Blackbeard’s pirate ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, which ran aground in North Carolina in 1718...   https://freebeacon.com/courts/supreme-court-hands-down-remote-opinions-bush-gore/?utm_source=actengage&utm_campaign=FreedomMail&utm_medium=email

{ freebeacon.com } ~ China's state-run propaganda outlets are using coronavirus coverage by U.S. media and Democratic politicians to push the regime narrative that the Chinese government bears no responsibility for the ongoing pandemic... and that sourcing the origin of the virus to Wuhan is politically motivated. A video posted Monday by the Global Times, a tabloid run by the Communist Party of China, uses footage of numerous American media outlets and Democratic politicians to portray criticism of China's handling of the coronavirus as racist. In addition to citing CNN's Chris Cuomo and NBC's Richard Engel, the video highlights tweets from two-time failed Democratic presidential candidate scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton and New York City mayor Bill de Blasio parroting regime talking points. "It is easy to scapegoat people, and that is what has always happened when there have been pandemics or epidemics," Engel says in the clip featured in the video. "This is a virus that came from the territory of China but came from bats. This is a bat virus, not a China virus."In another video posted Sunday, Global Times editor in chief Hu Xijin highlights a CNN opinion piece by Chris Cillizza that argues President Donald Trump is "weaponizing bigotry" to shift blame away from his administration. After questioning the virus's point of origin in Wuhan, Xijin cites Cillizza's piece as evidence that Trump is using China as a political "scapegoat for his government's slow response." "Reelection concerns are driving the Trump administration's intense attack on China as a ploy to divert public anger over the federal government's poor controls," Xijin says in a video pinned to the top of the outlet's Twitter account, which has more than 1.6 million followers. "They've indeed been quite incompetent. Perhaps they can't face their public without blaming China." Neither CNN nor NBC responded to requests for comment. The videos are part of a larger Chinese effort to deflect responsibility for the pandemic, which has spread across the globe since China covered up the December outbreak in Wuhan...   https://freebeacon.com/media/chinese-propaganda-video-cites-cnn-democratic-politicians-to-push-regime-narrative/?utm_source=actengage&utm_campaign=FreedomMail&utm_medium=email

New Iraqi Prime Minister-Designate Poses
Threat to Iran, Opportunity for U.S.
by John Hannah
{ fdd.org  } ~ The March 17 nomination of Adnan al-Zurfi as Iraq’s prime minister-designate highlights the extent to which Iran’s stranglehold on Iraqi politics could be eroding... As such, Zurfi’s nomination holds out both the promise of a restoration of Iraqi sovereignty that aligns with U.S. interests, as well as the danger of escalating violence by an Iranian regime desperate to prevent such a strategic defeat. Zurfi’s nomination by Iraqi President Barham Salih came on the heels of the failed effort of Mohammed Allawi earlier this month to replace the caretaker government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi. Abdul-Mahdi was forced to resign in late November under pressure from a mass protest movement demanding an overhaul of Iraq’s post-2003 political system. Allawi’s February 1 nomination was almost entirely engineered by Iran, operating in conjunction with its Iraqi allies and Lebanese Hezbollah. It reflected a concerted effort by the Islamic Republic to shore up its position in the face of two fundamental challenges: first, the January 3 U.S. drone strike that killed both Qassem Soleimani, the mastermind of Iranian strategy in Iraq since 2003, and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, Soleimani’s most powerful Iraqi agent; and second, the anti-government protests that have roiled Iraq since October, centered in the country’s Shiite heartland and propounding a distinctly nationalist narrative deeply resentful of Iranian interference. Allawi’s failure to gain parliamentary approval marked a profound defeat for Iran. A surge in violence against protesters, ordered by extremist cleric Moqtada al-Sadr eager to prove himself as Iran’s new post-Soleimani enforcer, only bolstered the protest movement’s unambiguous rejection of Allawi. Sadr’s efforts to  intimidate Kurdish and Sunni politicians into providing a parliamentary quorum for Allawi’s appointment also cratered. Scrambling to recover, Iran dispatched the head of its national security council, Ali Shamkhani, to Baghdad on March 7 to press Iraq’s leading Islamist parties the so-called Shiite House to unite behind a new candidate. But to no avail. In the wake of Soleimani’s death and the collapse of Allawi’s nomination, divisions within the Shiite House only accelerated, preventing it from putting forward a new prime minister-designate by a March 17 deadline. No doubt sensing the signs of faltering Iranian clout, the pro-Western Salih stepped into the vacuum and exercised his constitutional authority to put forward a candidate of his own choosing: Zurfi...   https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2020/03/23/new-iraqi-prime-minister-designate-poses-threat-to-iran-opportunity-for-us/

Open-Borders Dems Threaten U.S. Health Care System

Coronavirus will be the coup de grace of the Democratic Party, as sensible Americans of all backgrounds understand amidst a highly contagious global pandemic that the United States needs more border enforcement, not less.

It simply makes no sense to permit millions of people from all over the world to pour into our country illegally, many of whom could be carrying the infectious virus and spreading it to Americans. So, contrary to the left’s talking points, border security and enforcement aren’t “xenophobic,” as Democratic presidential hopefuls commie-Bernie Sanders and loose lips liar-Joe Biden claim they are — far from it.

Building the wall along the porous southern border and enforcing sensible immigration laws is a matter of national security.

After all, the No. 1 responsibility of the president of the United States is to protect our citizens from any threat, foreign or domestic. This includes safeguarding our nation from the spread of highly contagious and infectious diseases that can cause severe illness or death. To date, at least 242,000 people have contracted coronavirus globally and over 9,800 have died from it. These numbers will continue to rise, especially in the U.S., where most have not yet been tested for the virus.

It’s just common sense to screen all those who are coming into one’s country — especially during a global pandemic — and that’s why the vast majority of countries worldwide are enforcing their own borders.

Hospitals in New York, California, Washington, Massachusetts and elsewhere are overwhelmed combatting the coronavirus. Many doctors, nurses and health care providers don’t have basic necessities such as protective masks, ventilators, hospital beds and other emergency equipment and resources to accommodate our own citizens.

Hence the need for social distancing and mass self-quarantining to blunt the spread of the disease. Yet far-left liberals like commie-Sanders and loose lips liar-Biden not only want open borders — as do the rest of their out-of-touch party — they’ve also pledged to give health care to millions of illegal immigrants. How is that even possible when the current U.S. health care system is already stressed to the max and struggling to provide adequate medical care for its own citizens?

This week, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. government will be converting two Navy ships into floating hospitals to provide relief to overcrowded medical facilities. Now ask yourself this: Does it make any sense to add millions more foreign nationals to our already strained health care system?

And who will be paying for millions of illegal immigrants’ health care if loose lips liar-Biden or commie-Sanders is elected president in November? The stark reality is that millions of Americans have lost their jobs due to the pandemic with more employment losses to come during this spiraling crisis. This crisis has affected all 50 states and brought the U.S. economy to a screeching halt. “As fallout from the coronavirus pandemic hits the economy, it’s slamming the American workforce: Some 18% of adults reported that they had been laid off or that their work hours had been cut, a new poll found,” reports the Los Angeles Times.

Restaurants and bars have closed nationwide as well as shopping malls, retail shops and scores of other businesses that have had to lay off their workers, who are now in need of unemployment insurance and other government benefits.

Yet the Democratic Party’s presumptive front-runners, loose lips liar-Biden and commie-Sanders, have failed to explain how their reckless open borders policy and promises of health care to millions of illegal immigrants will be supported by a deluged health care system and paid for by taxpayers — especially during an ongoing pandemic that’s estimated to continue for many months.

This is all the more reason Trump is poised to sail to reelection come November. He’s not only demonstrating bold and decisive leadership throughout this crisis, but the situation itself has proven the need for sensible border enforcement and the construction of the wall.

It’s unfortunate it took a pandemic and a near-collapsed U.S. health care system for voters to finally see it for themselves.   ~The Patriot Post
