Liberals’ Misleading Spin on Senate Republicans’
2016 Supreme Court Confirmation Approach
by Thomas Jipping { dailysignal.com } ~ Recent remarks by Sen. Dianne Fein-stein, D-Calif., show the script that the left will be using to oppose President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee... to fill the vacancy from the retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy. The most prominent point so far is that the Senate should wait until after the 2018 election to consider Trump’s nominee. Echoing Senate Minority Leader Charles clown-Schumer, D-N.Y., Fein-stein, speaking in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s June 28 business meeting, said following the traditional confirmation pattern would be hypocritical. Ranking member Fein-stein, echoed by Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., claimed—as every dummycrats-Democrat and their left-wing allies will certainly do—Republicans set a “new standard” in 2016 that the Senate should never consider any Supreme Court nominee in any election year. If Republicans had taken that position in 2016, it certainly would have been new anddummycrats-Democrats might well benefit from it today. But that standard has never existed: not before, not during, and not after 2016....

A First Draft of the Life of Benjamin Netanyahu
by Neil Rogachevsky { mosaicmagazine.com } ~ Between 2006 and 2012, 40,000 Eritrean and Sudanese migrants arrived in Israel by way of Egypt... many settling in the parks and abandoned buildings surrounding Tel Aviv’s seedy bus station. Though the influx would cease with better policing and the construction of a border fence near the entry points, the remaining migrants’ status has become a flash point in Israeli politics. Residents of South Tel Aviv have protested increased criminality and social breakdown in the neighborhood. Left-wing activists and their international allies have insisted that, given Jewish history and Israel’s own beginnings, the state has a special responsibility toward migrants. The Supreme Court, in the habit of issuing dictates on human-rights grounds, forbade the government from jailing migrants. Meanwhile, most Israelis, who only reluctantly would set foot in that corner of Tel Aviv, look on in wonderment. On April 2 of this year, a beaming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he had reached a deal to defuse the crisis. Israel would permanently accept 14,000 migrants; the rest, according to a plan agreed upon with the United Nations’ refugee agency, would be settled in Western countries. But this compromise, moderate in its very essence, enraged virtually everyone. Activist groups on the left spoke darkly of upcoming deportations. Enraged right-wing members of Netanyahu’s coalition threatened to bring down the government over a perceived betrayal of their hard line on illegal migrants. After a few frantic hours in which his governing coalition seemed at risk, Netanyahu announced that the deal was off. The can was kicked down the road....
Mom accuses pope of cover-up of son's sex abuse
{ wnd.com } ~ A Brazilian mother is accusing Pope Francis of directly covering up the sex abuse of her son by a pedophile priest 16 years ago when the pope... then known as Jorge Bergoglio, was the archbishop of Buenos Aires. Beatriz Varela was employed in a diocesan school when the abuse of her son, Gabriel Ferrini, then 14, took place Aug. 15, 2002 – turning to Bishop Luis Stöcker. “Initially, he showed consternation, but, as the time went by, he did not take any action,” Varela said. “Instead,” she said, he “tried to minimize the case, saying that I had to be merciful with persons who chose celibacy as a vocation because they have moments of weakness. Bergoglio was aware of this situation the sex-abuse of her son because no one can be installed in the Vicar’s House without the authorization of the archbishop. This is Bergoglio’s compromise: He speaks against cases of pedophilia in the Church, but uses hypocrisy, lies and complicity to cover them.” Varela reportedly told the bishop that she wanted “truth, justice and the guarantee that such a thing would not happen to anyone else.” She says the Bishop then threatened to cut her employment. “I worked for a school in the diocese,” she said, explaining her difficult situation... http://www.wnd.com/2018/07/mom-accuses-pope-of-cover-up-of-sons-sex-abuse/ .
Teaching about Islam
by William Kilpatrick { frontpagemag.com } ~ I recently came across a Time article entitled “Let’s Teach About Islam in Our Schools.”... The piece is from December 2014, but the author’s views are still widely shared. Indeed, they represent the dominant point of view. So let’s see what he has to say. He writes that it’s essential to teach about Islam in public schools because there exists in America “a huge and profound ignorance about Islam.” Can’t argue with that. What else? Teaching about Islam, writes the author, means “rejecting the stereotyping of Islam.” Good point. Stereotypes of Islam abound in our society. Schools should try to correct these misperceptions. What are the stereotypes? According to the author, people have been misled to believe “that fanaticism and intolerance are fundamental to Islamic religion, and that violence and even suicide bombing have deep Koranic roots.”...Where's the ACLU on this? https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/270594/teaching-about-islam-william-kilpatrick .

.'Abolish ICE' — dummycrats-Demos' New Rallying Cry
by Nate Jackson: What did it take for dummycrats-Democrats to finally find a government agency they want to eliminate? A midterm election strategy that includes demonizing President Donald Trump and Republicans for enforcing the law at the border. As dummycrats-Democrats lurch left, they’re even pushing socialist candidates to primary wins. And that’s having policy consequences. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Millennial socialist who ousted the number four House dummycrats-Democrat in a primary last week, has called for abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It wasn’t long before dummycrats- Democrat 2020 presidential hopefuls followed suit. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY) was the first, saying, “I believe that [ICE] has become a deportation force. And I think you should separate out the criminal justice from the immigration issues. I think you should reimagine ICE under a new agency, with a very different mission, and take those two missions out. So we believe that we should protect families that need our help, and that is not what ICE is doing today.”
Gillibrand added, “Keeping our country safe cannot come at a cost to basic human rights.” Keep in mind that she’s the same senator who renewed the call for a ban on “assault weapons” after Thursday’s massacre with a shotgun, despite gun bans trampling Second Amendment rights. To dummycrats-Democrats, some “basic human rights” are more equal than others, but that’s another story.
Other dummycrats-Democrats jumped on the anti-ICE bandwagon, including Sen. Elizabeth dinky-Warren (D-Cherokee), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-2020) and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. Meanwhile, hundreds of anti-ICE protesters were arrested in the Hart office building in DC. “The president’s deeply immoral actions have made it obvious we need to rebuild our immigration system from top to bottom,” dinky-Warren declared Saturday, “starting by replacing ICE with something that reflects our morality and that works.” dummycrats-Democrats and morality … whoo boy.
That “morality” hinges on smearing all Republicans as racist for advocating secure borders. Onedummycrats-Democrat strategist said as much, insisting Trump is using ICE as a tool to “radicalize his racist policies against anyone who doesn’t live in this country.” Given that, according to leftist morality, “racist” is the worst thing anyone or any institution can be, calls for abolishing ICE — and effectively all border enforcement — are inevitably going to become louder.
