We The Stupid

Barnhardt

I stand here in abject stupefaction. The so-called "right" or "Tea Party" in this republic is being so thoroughly rolled and defeated that I am struggling to come up with an adequate violent submission metaphor that does not involve prison rape . . . and they honesty think that they're "winning." Really? You call this winning?

- Obama gets over $2 Trillion to spend before the 2012 election

- There are no real spending cuts

- There is a massive tax increase effective January 1, 2013

Obama is going to be handed something in excess of $2 Trillion -- and he has made it perfectly clear that he will spend every penny of it before the November 2012 election. That's why he kept saying, " . . . so we don't have to do this again", meaning raise the debt ceiling again. The debt ceiling would only need to be raised if all of the money had been spent. Therefore, he has stated very clearly that he will spend every penny of any debt ceiling increase. He is going to burn through $2 Trillion-plus in the next sixteen months. This was the Obama regime's plan from day one. Geithner appeared before Congress in early May and told them this in no uncertain terms. This outcome has been a known quantity all along.

  • So how does Ann think we can get out country back from Washington?

  • I think Ann is right, we are chumps. We controlled the 2010 election and nothing really changed in Washington. Once again the left has chosen the candidate we run for president simply by repeating the mantra that Romney is the only one who can defeat Obama. The green movement is in high speed, it's as strong as ever because most of the power is in the hands of the EPA. The debt is going up everyday. We have a congress that won't pass a budget because they want to continue the 2009 budget which had the stimulus money. We have republicans that really like the idea of no new budget because they love the extra money to spend. They put up a token resistance only to pacify us, the Tea Part.

  • The Tea Party won't make a dimes worth of difference till voters get rid of all the corruption in both parties.

  • Her intent is quite noble, it isn't to put us down - she is telling it like it is and trying to knock some sense into all of us. Our politicians have no excuse for their miserable failures except to try and make us believe that failure is the norm, so that we can accept and justify it. Well there is no justification for failing to do the right thing, and that means we are finished - unless of course by some stroke of good luck they should all fail to show up for work on Monday, so that we can go and dust off our Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, stop spending Chinese money, and start to govern a Nation in reality instead of virtual reality!

  • I'm sorry, but what happened to the promise that anyone making less than $250,000 will pay no taxes. My part-time job pays about $800 per month and I pay federal income taxes out of that. My yearly gross is only about $$9600.00.

  • No, I think she's putting the "Tea Party" into perfect perspective.  We're still losing.  When Tea Party membership can be counted on to vote a liberal like Mitt Romney into office out of fear - that's not winning that's losing.  It's losing because it's someone else defining how YOUR priciples will yet again be ignored in favor of the Republican Elite's choices.  Anyone really believe Mitt isn't a big government Republicans?  Ok, he's not Obama but the odifference is only in the rhetoric and the fake birth certificate.

Here's tea party principles you tell me if Mitt comes close:

Lower Taxes, Fewer Laws, Smaller Federal Government, Bill of Rights (all of them), Fiscal Responsibility.

Any of those come from the party elite in any meaningful way recently?  I mean other than the usual election year rhetoric designed to salve your conscience as your vote for yet another crowned prince of the Pepublican Party.  Barnhardt is right.  The Tea Party is rolling over and taking it up the keister rather than to demand limited constitutional government.

Oh, by Romeny is so electable.  Yeah, just like John McCain (the last crowned prince of big government) was so electable.    Has everyone forgotten that debacle?

The battle isholding OUR SIDE's feet to the fire and chaning them and that's not being done.  People are too scared to demand limioted government by Republicans and they RNC knows it and the politicians are acting like it.  They act like this because they know you're scared of Obama.  They're using your fear to give you a sly, underhanded,  liberal, one world government Republican.

They did it with Bush I, Bush II and now here's Romney the Obama Lite.  Nothing will change unless we stop letting the Rpublican L:eadership define the debate - nothing.

Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong.

  • I do not believe she is truly putting us, The Teas Party, down but the battle we wage is far bigger than we can ever imagine and having little if any affect of this massive corruption in control is a reality.  Plus I think she is referring to the Tea Party members in congress.
