“The Senate voted Tuesday to confirm a 37-year-old Washington lawyer whose nomination for a lifetime appointment on a federal appeals court drew vociferous opposition from LGBTQ and civil rights groups. Allison Rushing … was confirmed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit by a vote that split down party lines. “The federal government recorded a budget surplus in January. But so far this budget year, the total deficit is 77 percent higher than the same period a year ago. … The higher deficit reflected greater spending in areas such as Social Security, defense and interest payments on the national debt. … Individual income taxes withheld from paychecks total $818 billion for the October-January period, down 3 percent from the same period last year. Corporate income taxes total $73 billion over the four-month period, down 23 percent. Liberals claim to believe in “equality” and standing up for the “little guy” in the face of bullies... but a movement gaining steam in blue states is putting that in doubt. Frustrated that they didn’t win in 2016, the left has a new plan: Sidestep the Constitution and effectively get rid of the Electoral College. Colorado is the latest state to jump on board. Last week, Democratic Gov. Jared Polis announced that he would sign a bill which basically re-writes the electoral process, and could pave the way to letting big cities dominate every future presidential election. The liberal called the Electoral College an “undemocratic relic,” apparently believing that he knows better than the Founding Fathers. “I’ve long supported electing the president by who gets the most votes,” Polis declared on Feb. 24, according to The Hill. That plan would force Colorado’s electors — the people who actually cast the official votes for president — to side with whichever candidate wins the national popular vote, no matter what. By changing the regulations at the state level but still using puppet electors, liberals would avoid amending the Constitution to get their way. “It’s a way to move towards direct election of the president,” Polis said. At first glance, it’s no big deal. Democracy means that people vote and the person with the most votes wins, right?... by Political Editors: This past week, conservatives gathered for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference or CPAC. This year, both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence addressed the assembly, and both did so in stirring fashion. Here are some of their more memorable comments from their speeches.
Pence speaking on Friday:
As I stand before you today, the American economy is booming. In just over two years, businesses large and small have created 5.3 million new jobs, including over 480,000 good-paying manufacturing jobs. … Unemployment has hit a 50-year low…
You know, the freedom of religion is not just enshrined in our Constitution; it’s enshrined in the hearts of the American people. But make no mistake about it: Freedom of religion is under attack in our country. … Under this president and this administration, we will always stand with people of faith…
And as we reflect on our God-given liberties, I got to tell you, I couldn’t be more proud to serve as vice president to the most pro-life president in American history.
Since the first days of this administration, President Donald Trump has stood without apology for the sanctity of human life. In one of his very first acts, the president reinstated the Mexico City Policy, preventing taxpayer dollars from funding abortion or abortion providers around the world.
And here at home, President Trump signed a law to allow all 50 states to defund Planned Parenthood. Life is winning in America once again.
On Saturday, Trump addressed the CPAC crowd, giving a 72-minute speech that laid out his “America First” agenda. It was classic Trump. At one point he noted, “I’m totally off script right now. And this is how I got elected — by being off script.” Here are a few excerpts:
Our movement and our future in our country is unlimited. I think we’re going to do even better in 2020.
We’re reclaiming our nation’s priceless heritage.
No planes. No energy. When the wind stops blowing, that’s the end of your electric. [The Green New Deal] would force the destruction or renovation of virtually every structure in the United States. Perhaps nothing is more extreme than the Democrat plan to take over American energy.
Democratic lawmakers are now embracing socialism. They want to replace individual rights with total government domination. Socialism is not about the environment. It’s not about justice. It’s not about virtue. Socialism is about only one thing — it’s called power for the ruling class.
The future does not belong to those who believe in socialism. The future belongs to those who believe in freedom. I have said it before, and I will say it again: America will never be a socialist country.
We need an immigration policy where people coming in will love our country and love our fellow citizens. And this includes shutting down sanctuary cities.
I just returned from Vietnam, where I had very productive meetings with Kim Jong-un. I had to walk. Because every once in a while you have to walk. The deal wasn’t a deal that was acceptable to me.
Both men did a solid job of representing conservatism to the next generation. And heaven knows the next generation needs it. ~The Patriot Post

That is so correct if that bill passes we are dome. Thats what the dems want to have power and control over our life. We need term limits to control their efforts.
