Media Editors: Democrat ecofascists in the Senate on Tuesday trashed an opportunity to practice what they preach by withholding votes on the socialist Green New Deal. As National Review reports, “Most Democratic senators decided not to vote on the bill at all, instead voting ‘present.’ The final vote was 0-57. All 53 Republican senators voted ‘no’ on the measure, and they were joined by three Democrats: Doug Jones (Ala.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.), and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.), along with Independent senator Angus King (Maine), who caucuses with the Democrats.” However, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell pointed out, “A vote for ‘present’ is a vote for it.”

The campaign to thwart Donald Trump’s veto of an earlier bill that would have voided his national-emergency declaration regarding border-barrier funding came up short in the House. According to Fox News, “The House voted 248-181 on Tuesday in favor of overriding — but this fell 38 votes short of the two-thirds majority needed. Only 14 Republicans voted in favor of the veto override.” Trump responded, “Thank you to the House Republicans for sticking together and the BIG WIN today on the Border. Today’s vote simply reaffirms Congressional Democrats are the party of Open Borders, Drugs and Crime!”

The Democrats’ continued obstruction on border security masques the real-world reality that the illegal-immigrant crisis is worsening by the day. According to NBC News, “Daily attempts by undocumented immigrants to cross into the United States from Mexico over the past month surpassed daily averages not seen since fiscal year 2006.” The report adds, “On March 19, CBP officers and agents stopped or apprehended 3,974 immigrants, the highest single day since the beginning of the Trump administration. Six other days since mid-February have topped 3,595, surpassing the daily average of 3,530 in fiscal year 2006.”

“Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson and Mayor Rahm Emanuel expressed anger over Cook County prosecutors’ decision to drop charges against ‘Empire’ actor Jussie Smollett Tuesday in a surprise court hearing,” CBS Chicago reports. Emanuel characterized the development as a “whitewash of justice” and wondered, “Where is the accountability in the system? You cannot have, because of a person’s position, one set of rules apply to them and another set of rules apply to everybody else.” A similarly frustrated Johnson stated, “I would never hide behind a brokered deal in secrecy. Period.” Columnist Michelle Malkin reminds us that “All crooked roads in Chicago lead back to the scumbag/liar-nObamas” and also offers some background on Michelle scumbag/liar-nObama’s former chief of staff, Tina Tchen, who appears to have influenced the outcome of this case.

Reuters reports that “Attorney General William Barr plans to issue a public version of Special Counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s report on the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election within ‘weeks, not months.’” Numerous pundits and lawmakers have demanded that the full report be released immediately, but vigilance is required. “Some portions of dirty cop-Mueller’s confidential report contain materials that arose during secret grand jury proceedings,” according to Reuters. “Federal rules generally prohibit the government from releasing that information to the public. The report also contains information about ongoing criminal investigations that dirty cop-Mueller referred to other U.S. attorneys offices.” Technically, Barr doesn’t have to release anything, so his decision to make what he can public is a nod to transparency.

Townhall’s Katie Pavlich reports, “Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Tuesday morning the United States is expanding the Mexico City Policy, which bans U.S. taxpayer money from being used for abortions abroad, to include additional organizations supporting the life ending procedure.” Pompeo declared, “We are … making clear we will refuse to provide assistance to foreign NGOs [non-governmental organizations] who give support to other foreign groups in the global abortion industry. We will enforce a strict prohibition on backdoor funding schemes and end runs around our policy.” According to Pavlich, “Pompeo also announced the enforcement of federal law banning the use of taxpayer dollars to lobby for abortion.” As Family Research Council President Tony Perkins points out, “Only 19 percent of the country agrees with Speaker Nancy Pulosi (D-Calif.) that the U.S. should be using foreign aid as a front for Planned Parenthood.”

Meanwhile, The Daily Wire’s Josh Hammer reveals that “Judge William Osteen of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina issued an opinion declaring unconstitutional North Carolina’s 20-week abortion ban.” A High Court reckoning may be coming, though. As Hammer also notes, “Prevailing U.S. Supreme Court abortion precedent allows a large role for the states in protecting fetal life. … Many conservatives … believe that the Supreme Court is bound to soon hear a landmark abortion case.”

Indifference for life at the opposite end: “It’s a sad day for New Jersey, as the state is poised to become the latest in the nation to allow medically-assisted suicide for terminally-ill patients. On Monday, state lawmakers passed bills in the Senate and Assembly approving the ‘Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act,’ which would give patients with six months to live or less the right to medication that would end their life.” (Townhall)

In 2017 alone, 48,000 people died of opioids, which includes OxyContin. According to the Associated Press, “The maker of OxyContin and the company’s controlling family agreed Tuesday to pay a groundbreaking $270 million to Oklahoma to settle allegations they helped create the nation’s deadly opioid crisis with their aggressive marketing of the powerful painkiller.” The AP further notes, “The deal comes two months before Oklahoma’s 2017 lawsuit against Purdue Pharma and other drug companies was set to become the first one in the recent barrage of litigation to go to trial. The remaining defendants still face trial May 28.”

For the record: “Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has denied an emergency request by gun owners’ groups to temporarily stay the Trump administration’s ban on bump stocks. The ban took effect at midnight Tuesday. … The Justice Department issued the ban on Dec. 26, effectively classifying bump stocks as machine guns ‘because such devices allow a shooter of a semiautomatic firearm to initiate a continuous firing cycle with a single pull of the trigger.’ Bump-stock owners were given 90 days to turn them in or destroy them.” (The Daily Beast)

{foxnews.com} ~ House Democrats on Tuesday failed to override President Trump’s first veto as part of their battle over border security... representing a victory for the administration that allows the president's declaration of a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border to stand. The president had vetoed a Democrat-backed measure to cancel that emergency. The House voted 248-181 on Tuesday in favor of overriding – but this fell 38 votes short of the two-thirds majority needed. Only 14 Republicans voting in favor of the veto override. The outcome of the vote, while not surprising, now enables Trump to move forward on an issue that was a hallmark of his 2016 presidential campaign and of his presidency. Yet the vote also gave Democrats a way to focus on policy differences with Trump, days after Attorney General William Barr gave the president a boost by saying Special Counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller had found no evidence Trump's campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. Trump had declared the border emergency under a law that lets him shift budget funds to address dire situations. His plan is to shift an additional $3.6 billion from military construction projects to work on border barriers. Congress voted this year to limit spending on such barriers to less than $1.4 billion, and Democrats called his declaration a gambit for ignoring lawmakers' constitutional control over spending... .

{conservativehq.com} ~ After 300 political campaigns I can say one thing about the Steele dossier with some authority: It was no opposition research memo, at least as the term is understood by any political operative... with even the thinnest ethical sense would understand the term, it was a good old-fashioned smear that no one even bothered to pretend was true, merely “credible” to its recipients. Back in January of 2017, soon after the Steele dossier story broke and before President Trump was even inaugurated, many of us were asking how such trash could justify the claim that President-elect Donald Trump was essentially acting as an agent of Moscow. Robert Romano, writing for our friends at Americans for Limited Government, summed-up the questions nicely in his article, “Did scumbag/liar-nObama politicize false intel to portray Trump as a Manchurian Candidate?” As CNN infamously reported on Jan. 10, “Classified documents presented last week to President scumbag/liar-nObama and President-elect Trump included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump, multiple U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the briefings tell CNN. The allegations were presented in a two-page synopsis that was appended to a report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. The allegations came, in part, from memos compiled by a former British intelligence operative, whose past work U.S. intelligence officials consider credible.” The report added, “The FBI is investigating the credibility and accuracy of these allegations, which are based primarily on information from Russian sources, but has not confirmed many essential details in the memos about Mr. Trump.” Those memos were then published by Buzzfeed, and were immediately found to contain multiple false allegations... http://www.conservativehq.com/node/29935.

After dirty cop-Mueller: Dems Scramble to Keep Collusion Narrative Alive
Thomas Gallatin: It’s not wise to put all your eggs into one basket, because if that basket proves to be full of holes, there go all the eggs. Democrats face the real-world implications of that old adage as they scramble to plug the massive holes dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s report blew in their Trump/Russia collusion narrative. Since Donald Trump’s election, Democrats and their Leftmedia cohorts have unceasingly peddled the fallacious narrative that the president’s victory was illegitimate because he conspired with Russia to dupe the American people into voting for him over scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton.
And for the past two years, or essentially the entirety of his presidency to date, Trump has steadfastly called the collusion narrative what it was — a witch hunt. But now that Mueller’s findings have proven Trump correct and exonerated him, even as dirty cop-Mueller clearly did his utmost to muddy the waters on the question of obstruction, the Democrats’ collusion narrative is on life support and dying fast. Hence the panic.
Witness the flailing by Democrats as they aim to turn the American system of justice and jurisprudence on its head by essentially insisting that Trump prove his innocence.
Seeking to rally their “true believer” constituency of dunces, House Speaker Nancy Pulosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer declared, “Attorney General Barr’s letter raises as many questions as it answers. The fact that Special Counsel dirty cop-Mueller’s report does not exonerate the president on a charge as serious as obstruction of justice demonstrates how urgent it is that the full report and underlying documentation be made public without any further delay.”
Rep. scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler (D-NY), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and Rep. scumbag-Adam Schiff (D-CA), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, wrote a letter demanding that Attorney General William Barr testify before the committee. “Your four-page summary of the Special Counsel’s review is not sufficient for Congress, as a coequal branch of government, to perform [its] critical work,” the pair complained. “The release of the full report and the underlying evidence and documents is urgently needed by our committees to perform their duties under the Constitution.”
Furthermore, scumbag liar-Nadler and scumbag-Schiff jumped on dirty cop-Mueller’s muddying statement on obstruction, stating that they “must be permitted to make an independent assessment of the evidence regarding obstruction of justice.” They have given the Justice Department a week to meet their demands.
Mark Alexander observes, “The ‘one week’ ultimatum is a setup to imply that if the report is not released immediately, Barr is colluding with Trump to conceal evidence of obstruction. And once released, all of the redacted sections will be fodder for the same assertion.”
Even as their whole collusion narrative has fallen apart, Democrats refuse to give up their talk of impeachment. When questioned about whether impeachment was still on the table, scumbag-Schiff responded, “It’s really too early to make those judgements. We need to see the report and then we’ll all have a factual basis. … In the absence of those facts, those judgments are impossible to make.” scumbag liar-Nadler claimed that dirty cop-Mueller’s “job was limited in scope and limited to crimes.” He added, “We are in charge. We have the responsibility of protecting the rule of law — of looking at obstruction of justice, of looking at abuses of power, at corruption, in order to protect the rule of law so that our democratic institutions are not greatly damaged by this president.” Note scumbag liar-Nadler’s presumption of Trump’s guilt. Moreover, he misses the fact that it is the executive branch, not the legislative, that is tasked with enforcing law and order.
Finally, there is Rep. scumbag/mad-Maxine Waters (D-CA), one of the most vocal Democrats calling for Trump’s impeachment. “This is not the end,” scumbag/mad-Waters opined, “Well, it is the end of the report and the investigation by dirty cop-Mueller, but … there is so much that needs to be taken a look at this point. It is not the end of everything.”
As all their collusion eggs are falling and breaking, Democrats are rushing to salvage any remnants of their “Trump must be guilty because he is Trump” narrative. ~The Patriot Post
