by personalliberty.com:   Former scumbag/liar-nObama administration ethics czar Norm Eisen has been hired by the House Judiciary Committee as it probes the Department of Justice and other aspects of the Trump administration... and seeks to shield the special counsel investigation into Russian election interference. Chairman scumbag-Jerrold Nadler of New York has said that protecting special counsel dirty cop-Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation into the 2016 election, including possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, is the committee’s No. 1 priority. Eisen has been retained on a consulting basis along with Barry Berke, a leading white-collar criminal defense attorney, as special oversight counsels to the majority Democratic staff as they conduct their inquiries into Trump’s Justice Department. “This is a critical time in our Nation’s history,” scumbag-Nadler said in a statement Tuesday. The chairman said in the statement that Trump is accused of “numerous” instances of “corruption and obstruction,” and indicated that the committee will be gathering evidence about those claims with help from Eisen and Berke...

{westernjournal.com} ~ A potential congressional deal on border security funding could mean that 8,300 criminal illegal aliens are released onto the streets... according to a joint letter from two of the biggest law enforcement groups in America. According to The Daily Caller, the National Sheriffs’ Association and the Major County Sheriffs of America have come out against a rumored deal that would cap the number of detainees that Immigration and Customs Enforcement can hold at one time at 16,500. In the letter — sent to Senate Appropriations Committee chairman Sen. Richard Shelby, the Alabama Republican, and the committee’s ranking Democrat, Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont — both organizations said that there would be a threat to public safety if Congress were to “place an artificial cap on Immigration and Custom’s Enforcement’s (ICE) detention capacity.” “Capping the number of detention beds utilized by ICE not only jeopardizes the integrity of the immigration system, but would cripple ICE’s ability to detain criminal aliens and other aliens who pose a risk to public safety or are a flight risk,” the letter states. “Any legislation that reduces ICE’s detention capacity would hinder its ability to perform its national security and public safety missions, but also impact local law enforcement’s ability to protect the communities they serve. In order to meet the cap being tentatively proposed by Congress, ICE would be compelled to release thousands of aliens from custody. To achieve the 16,500 adult average detainee population (ADP) caps for the remaining 7 months of the fiscal year, a net reduction of 9,264 adults by the end of this fiscal year would be required. “Over 90 percent of ICE’s arrests are aliens who have a criminal conviction, have been arrested for a criminal, or have been previously removed. Placing a cap on ICE detention beds will undermine the efficacy of the immigration system and reduce the number of aliens who are removed from the United States.” If 90 percent of the aliens held by ICE have criminal records besides their immigration status, and 9,264 would have to be freed, that means more than 8,300 criminals would be released to potentially prey on innocent Americans, thanks to Democratic demands...  https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/nations-sheriffs-issue-alarming-warning-congress-considering-release-8300-criminal-illegals-onto-streets-report/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=conservative-brief-CT&utm_campaign=dailyam&utm_content=conservative-tribune

Unhappy with dirty cop-Mueller’s lack of
evidence against Trump, Dems seek
investigations of their own

{patriotnewsalerts.com} ~ Even Democrats are starting to turn on dirty cop-Robert Mueller. Apparently unhappy with the special counsel’s lack of evidence, California Rep. scumbag-Adam Schiff, the current chairman of the House Intelligence Committee... is now putting together his own investigation into President Donald Trump. scumbag-Schiff is a conspiracy theorist — and nothing more. For the next two years, the one thing you can count on is scumbag-Schiff wasting millions of taxpayer dollars chasing these wild accusations against President Trump. In this case, he wants to know why Trump has not been linked to money laundering. According to scumbag-Schiff, since Trump secured loans from Deutsche Bank AG, he must be guilty of money laundering. Furthermore, since dirty cop-Mueller has not tied Trump to any money laundering, scumbag-Schiff believes the attorney general’s office has been putting the clamps on dirty cop-Mueller and not allowing him to investigate this specific issue. The only thing scumbag-Schiff has to go on here is that Deutsche Bank was willing to loan money to Trump after his casinos faced financial difficulties in the 1990s, leading to several bankruptcies. Because of that, scumbag-Schiff apparently believes the Russians got their claws into him and involved Trump in a money laundering scheme...scumbag-Svhiff is fishing in the dark and he is lost.  https://www.patriotnewsalerts.com/unhappy-with-muellers-dems/

California governor to reduce
National Guard presence at border

{foxnews.com} ~ California Gov. Gavin Newsom is slated to pull several hundred National Guard troops from the state’s border with Mexico on Monday in an apparent rebuff... to President Donald Trump’s characterization of the region being under siege by Central American refugees and migrants, according to reports. The move comes despite his predecessor’s agreement – along with other past and current border state governors – to send troops to the border at the Trump administration’s request. Former California Gov. Jerry Brown originally approved the mission through the end of March, but qualified that the state’s troops “will not be enforcing federal immigration laws.” Newsom’s plan will require the National Guard to immediately begin withdrawing troops but still give it until the end of March to do so. According to excerpts from his Tuesday State of the State address, he will call the “border emergency” a “manufactured crisis,” and will say that “California will not be part of this political theater.” Newsom's order will require around 110 National Guard troops to help the state prepare for its next wildfire season while another 100 members will be deployed to focus specifically on combating transnational crime, according to excerpts from his speech. A spokesman for Newsom said his office will separately request federal funds for the expansion of the state's counterdrug task force program, The Los Angeles Times reported... Newsom will paid for his mistake.  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/california-governor-to-reduce-national-guard-presence-at-border-with-mexico

{westernjournal.com} ~ Universal basic income is bound to be one of the hot topics of the 2020 campaign, given the Democrat Party’s tilt to the left over the past few years... While most of the presidential frontrunners haven’t exactly embraced the idea, entrepreneur and long-shot candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination Andrew Yang has made some very minor waves by making it one of his chief issues. However, further down the food chain, the idea retains some popularity. You don’t even have to look much further. Take Rep. commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, arguably one of the country’s three or four most famous Democrats despite the fact she’s spent a grand total of one month in office. When she released the legislation for her Green New Deal, she also released a quite frankly, disastrous FAQ detailing its benefits; one was “economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work,” which is universal basic income by any definition of the world. The FAQ was so bad that Democrats ended up scrubbing it to get a version  that would be more palatable to sane Americans. And then there are smaller-scale experiments, like one that might be about to commence in the Windy City, governed by former scumbag/liar-nObama White House chief of staff Mayor Rahm Emmanuel. “Some Chicago families could start collecting a $1,000 check every month with no strings attached. That’s the new proposal from a task force created by Mayor Emanuel,” WLS-TVreported Friday... More debt on Windy City.  https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/chicago-eyeing-handing-residents-1000-per-month-no-strings-attached/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=minutemennews&utm_campaign=dailyam&utm_content=libertyalliance

by Harold Hutchison:  It’s been a little over two years since President Donald Trump took office. While much of the focus is on the various partisan fights, foreign policy has sometimes cropped up as well, often with pearl-clutching. But what is the real scoop? Let’s take a look at the run-down.

ISIS/Syria

First the good news: The Islamic State is not exactly enjoying life now. The jihadis have lost 99% of their territory. Bunches of them have been terminated. The group, which once inspired terrorist attacks across the globe, is now far more focused on just surviving.

The bad news: The long-term humanitarian crisis from the Syrian Civil War will continue as long as Bashar al-Assad is still in power. Furthermore, Trump’s pullout of over-stretched ground troops from Syria resulted in the resignation of Secretary of Defense James Mattis and rebukes from congressional Republicans. Russia will still have Assad as a client.

Overall: The fact is, Syria is a mess. ISIS will need to be watched and kept down. The real long-term solution was to dump both ISIS and the Assad regime to the ash heap of history. It rates as a job half-done.

North Korea

The good news: The regime is not launching missiles. There have been some steps toward denuclearization. The bellicose rhetoric has been toned down for the most part. There seems to be a real chance that the Korean War will formally end.

The bad news: North Korea still would be classified as a [bleep]hole country. The human-rights record remains atrocious. There are still questions about compliance with past agreements.

Overall: It remains to be seen if Trump’s approach will work, but the new approach, including a summit, seems to be showing some promising results.

Iran

The good: Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s nuclear deal with Iran is history. America is also building a close relationship with Saudi Arabia and most of the Gulf states as a regional counter-balance to Iran.

The bad: The regime is as belligerent as ever, and high-ranking officials routinely threaten Israel with genocide. Iran also has too much influence in Iraq. Missile launches continue as well. And this week marks 40 years since the revolution brought the current regime to power.

Overall: The tough line President Trump is taking can work, but this is still a pretty dangerous regime.

Israel

The good: The long-standing promise to move the American embassy to Jerusalem was finally kept on Trump’s watch. The relationship between the United States and Israel, badly wrecked by scumbag/liar-nObama, is improving. This is one place where Trump has been on target and expressing the right tone on a consistent basis.

China

The good: Trump has been standing up for American workers harmed by unfair trade practices. The U.S. Navy has also challenged Chinese claims in the South China Sea. Defusing North Korea is also removing some of China’s leverage over the United States.

The bad: While American military readiness is improving, China’s navy is rapidly expanding and improving capabilities, and the U.S. Navy isn’t getting more ships soon enough. The trade war has inflicted some damage on the United States.

Overall: The situation vis-à-vis China is improving, and while Trump has a lot to do with it, so does the Marcus Island  motherlode of rare-earth metals, which will cripple China’s leverage over the long term.

Russia

The good: President Trump has been tough on Russia. Ukraine and Georgia have been sold the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile. More importantly, Trump’s support of American energy production — oil and gas, in particular — has lightened Vladimir Putin’s wallet though lowering prices and by generating exports. NATO countries are stepping up to provide the defense funding long ago promised.

The bad: NATO is still nowhere near ready for a major war with Russia, given readiness issues by countries that should be bringing a lot of the power. Russia is also modernizing its military — seeking to narrow the technological gap. The United Stateshas very few forces in NATO proper.

Overall: President Trump’s conduct in office has been very bad for Russia. Putin has lost leverage in using natural gas as a weapon against Eastern Europe, and NATO is starting to step up more.

Elsewhere

The good: Venezuela’s people could see an end to the Chavez-Maduro regime. Canada and Mexico have signed on to a revised version of NAFTA that may help American workers. More importantly, Trump’s trade policy is bringing manufacturing back.

The bad: Trump’s verbal smackdowns can alienate allies. Turkey is still in the grip of the increasingly dictatorial Erdogan. Afghanistan is a stalemate, and the only real talking that should be done with the Taliban should be with bombs, guns, and missiles. Yemen is a mess, but we can’t let Iranian stooges who took potshots at a U.S. Navy ship get control of that country.

Overall: Like all administrations, this is a mixed bag, but Trump still brings mostly positives.

The Big Picture

In two years, Trump has managed to clean up a lot of the messes scumbag/liar-nObama made with a shift in attitude. In addition, he has managed to hobble Russia’s biggest source of hard currency with energy exports. A lucky find has given an American ally new leverage against China. After scumbag/liar-nObama threw away much of the progress George W. Bush made in the Global War on Terror, Trump has America making headway again. All in all, Trump has had a mostly successful two years on the foreign policy front.  ~The Patriot Post
