{dailycaller.com} ~ Anti-Brett Kavanaugh protesters have flooded Capitol Hill since news of allegations of sexual misconduct against him... walking hallways in protest, holding loud demonstrations and confronting senators in elevators. One such protester approached Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana on his way through a Senate building walkway Monday. She asked, “Why are you supporting Kavanaugh?” to the brisk-walking senator. Cassidy took the chance to push back, asking her if she would like it if her loved ones were “destroyed” by “uncorroborated” charges. Cassidy: “Why wouldn’t I support Kavanaugh?” Protester: “Because rapists are bad.”Cassidy: “Wait a second — everybody there said that it did not happen. So why am I going to–” Protester: “So you’re going to believe Mark Judge over a woman?” Cassidy: “No, I’m going to believe her best friend.” Protester: “Her best friend didn’t say it didn’t happen. Her best friend said she wasn’t told about it.” Cassidy: “She said she didn’t remember.” Protester: “So you’re OK as a doctor to harm a woman?” Cassidy: “Wait a second – are you OK as a person to go ahead and to accept a non-corroborated charge to destroy someone’s life? If it destroyed your life, your son’s life, or your husband’s? Wait a second, answer my question. If it was your husband, your son, your father, whose life has been destroyed by uncorroborated, would you like that?”....

{foxnews.com} ~ As new questions emerge about his first client’s salacious accusations against Brett Kavanaugh, dummycrats-Democratic lawyer Michael Avenatti has produced another sworn statement... from a second woman claiming the Supreme Court nominee, while in high school, would “spike” the “punch” at house parties and be “inappropriate” toward women. Avenatti, who also serves as adult film star Stormy Daniels’ attorney, tweeted the statement from his newest client, whose name and address is redacted, early Wednesday.“ Yet another accuser has come forward. She is prepared to meet with the FBI today and disclose multiple facts and witnesses,” Avenatti tweeted, sharing his client’s statement. The individual claims to be a resident of South Florida, and a 1983 graduate of a high school “in the Washington, D.C. area.” “I have known Christine Blasey Ford and Julie Swetnick for decades and I believe they are both honest and truthful,” the accuser said. {foxnews.com} ~ Packages with suspicious substances -- at least two of which initially tested positive for ricin -- sent to the Pentagon, White House and Sen. Ted Cruz's office in Texas... this week were part of a coordinated effort by a former Navy sailor, officials told Fox News. Investigators said one of the envelopes, addressed to Defense Secretary James Mattis or the Navy's top officer, Adm. John Richardson, contained a return address leading them to believe it came from the sailor, whose name has not been disclosed. Officials say a tip from the White House led the Pentagon to discover the two packages sent to the Pentagon. Both initially tested positive for ricin but are now in the hands of the FBI for further testing. The packages never made their way into the Pentagon, but were flagged in a mail delivery building next door on Monday, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed to Fox News. “On Monday, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency detected a suspicious substance during mail screening at the Pentagon's remote screening facility," Col. Rob Manning said in a statement to Fox News. "All USPS mail received at the Pentagon mail screening facility yesterday is currently under quarantine and poses no threat to Pentagon personnel.”...FBI Investigation Has Nothing to Do With the Truth

{totalconservative.com} ~ In an election special on Fox News this weekend, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro ripped into the dummycrats-Democrats and the weak-spined Republicans... for demanding an FBI investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Shapiro pointed out that most dummycrats-Democrats are already on the record opposing President Trump’s selection for the court and that they are in no way interested in getting to the bottom of the sexual assault allegations against him. Indeed, their only concern is pushing back the confirmation vote as far as possible – preferably until after the midterm elections. “For weeks, dummycrats-Democrats have been engaged in delay tactics designed to push off Kavanaugh’s confirmation beyond November 6,” said Shapiro. “It began with Senator Dianne Fein-stein, who received a 36-year-old allegation of sexual abuse on July 30 from Christine Blasey Ford, then did nothing — nothing — about it for weeks upon weeks until it was nearly time to confirm Kavanaugh. Then, she suddenly came forward with the allegations, demanding a hearing. Republicans attempted to facilitate one. dummycrats-Democrats delayed. Meanwhile, dummycrats-Democrats demanded a full FBI investigation — an investigation they hoped would take weeks on end.”Shapiro said that there was literally no point to an FBI investigation that will actually carry less criminal weight than one the Senate Judiciary Committee conducted. Without criminal charges hanging in the balance, FBI agents will have no subpoena power and will have to rely solely on voluntary interviews. Since those interviews have already been conducted, with Ford’s witnesses having already declined to corroborate her story, the true purpose of the investigation is obvious: Delay, delay, delay. “Will the FBI investigation satisfy people who oppose Kavanaugh?” Shapiro asked. “Of course not. It’s all about the stall. Just like clockwork, Ford’s lawyer said that the investigation shouldn’t have any timeline or any restrictions. This will be the talking point from dummycrats-Democrats all week. And we can surely expect more uncorroborated allegations to be brought forward by dummycrats-Democrats. After all, they’ve spent the last two weeks humoring allegations up to and including gang rape.”...
House GOP Passes Tax Reform 2.0by Political Editors: With everyone’s attention seemingly focused on the circus surrounding Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, GOP House members were busy passing Tax Reform 2.0. On Friday, House Republicans, joined by three dummycrats-Democrats, passed the bill by a vote of 220-191. The legislation, should it pass the Senate (which will be a tall order), makes permanent the tax cuts established by last year’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
As usual, dummycrats-Democrats came out complaining that the legislation favored the rich. House Minority Leader Nancy Pulosi (D-CA) lamented, “The GOP’s priorities have been laid bare. How can we milk the public, exploit the taxpayer by adding to the wealth of the wealthiest 1%?” Ironically, it has been dummycrats-Democrats who are most guilty in seeking to carve out tax breaks for the wealthy. In the high-tax states that are almost exclusively dummycrats-Democrat controlled, their biggest objection to Republican tax reform is that it reduces the amount of state and local taxes (SALT) deductible on a federal tax return. As we previously noted, Democrats are out to protect their rich constituents from the effects of higher state and local taxes they themselves have created.
dummycrats-Democrats are not really “for the people.” So who has gained the most from the GOP’s tax reform? The short answer: The Forgotten Man — middle-class and low-income workers toiling to make their lives better. As Grover Norquist and Alex Hendrie recently noted in The Hill, “Thanks to [tax reform], 90 percent of wage earners are seeing higher take-home pay. A family of four earning the median annual income $73,000 per year will see a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes, while a single parent with one child earning $41,000 will see a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes.”
And Tax Reform 2.0 does more to add to the middle- and low-income workers’ gains. As the Joint Economic Committee report highlights:
- Taxpayers with incomes under $50,000 will see their share of the total federal tax burden drop from 4.2% to 3.9%.
- Those with less than $10,000 in income will see their taxes slashed by more than half.
- Average taxpayers with incomes between $10,000 and $20,000, a group that frequently claims refundable tax credits, will have no tax liability and receive an additional refund.
- Millionaires will actually see their share of the total federal tax burden rise to 20.2%, compare to 19.6% if tax relief expires.
- While taxpayers will enjoy an average 5.2% cut in their taxes, taxpayers that earn over $1 million will see a below-average reduction of 2.3%.
Republicans need to be banging this drum all the way to the midterms.
