House GOP releases transcript of explosive
closed-door scumbag-Comey questioning
by Gregg Re {foxnews.com} ~ House Republicans on Tuesday released a transcript of their explosive closed-door session a day earlier with fired FBI Director scumbag-James Comey... who revealed during the questioning that FBI agents knew "exactly" what ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had told Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak prior to interviewing Flynn at the White House. The 173-page transcript, which documented congressional Republicans' second hearing with scumbag-Comey this month, also included scumbag-Comey's explanation of why he broke normal protocol by sending two FBI agents into the White House to interview Flynn in January 2017, without involving or notifying White House lawyers. Flynn has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI during that fateful interview about whether he had discussed sanctions imposed against Russia by the scumbag/liar-nObama administration with Kislyak. His sentencing was delayed on Monday, after a fiery hearing in which the presiding judge openly voiced his "disgust" at Flynn's conduct. Flynn was fired in February 2017 for misleading Vice President Mike Pence on the same topic, but was not charged with any wrongdoing related to the substance of his communications with Kislyak. And, a Washington Post article published one day before his White House interview with the agents, citing FBI sources, publicly revealed that the FBI had wiretapped Flynn's calls and cleared him of any criminal conduct... .
Americans Say No. 1 Problem is
'Government,' No. 2 is 'Immigration'
by Michael W. Chapman {cnsnews.com} ~ A new survey shows that the "top problem" cited by Americans is "government," and the second top problem is "immigration."... For contrast, among the issues seen as least problematic for Americans are "unemployment-jobs" and "gun control/guns." In the survey, conducted by Gallup after the midterm elections, the polling firm asked Americans about the country's top problems and then listed those issues that were "mentioned by at least 3% of respondents." Nineteen percent of respondents cited "government" as the problem, making it the top issue of concern. In second place came "immigration," cited by 16% of the respondents. However, when broken down politically, 29% of Republicans said immigration is a problem but only 7% of Democrats said the same. Only 8% of respondents said "unifying the country" was a problem, and only 3% said unemployment-jobs and then gun contol/guns were a problem. Also, only 5% said "healthcare" was a problem. "These data come from a Gallup Dec. 3-12 survey, conducted as a looming budget impasse between Republicans and Democrats threatened to shut down the government," reported Gallup. "The government has commonly been cited in recent years as the most important problem facing the country, with the problem having received or been tied for the most mentions -- 22 times in the last 24 months."....
Department of Homeland Security Reveals Official
Cause of Death for 7-Year Old Guatemalan Girl
by Jack Davis
{westernjournal.com} ~ A 7-year-old Guatemalan girl who tried to enter the U.S. with her father earlier this month died from sepsis shock... according to the Department of Homeland Security. DHS released a statement about her death on its Facebook page. “After completing a days-long, dangerous journey through remote and barren terrain, the child, who according to the father had not been able to consume water or food for days, began vomiting, went into sepsis shock and after receiving emergency treatment from U.S. Border Patrol Emergency Response Technicians (EMTs), air paramedics and emergency room personnel, died,” the department said Friday. The statement said that during an “initial screening” after Jakelin Caal Maquin and her father, Nery Gilberto Caal Cuz, were detained on Dec. 6, “the father denied that either he or his daughter were ill. This denial was recorded on Form I-779 signed by the father. At this time, they were offered water and food and had access to restrooms.” The statement said that the next morning, as a group of detainees was being transported on a bus, “the father advised Border Patrol agents that his child had become sick and was vomiting. Out of an abundance of caution, agents immediately requested that an EMT meet the bus on arrival at the Lordsburg station.” By the time she arrived at 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 7, “the father notified agents that the child was not breathing. Border Patrol EMTs began medical care and requested an ambulance. At this point her temperature was 105.9 degrees. Agents providing medical care revived the child twice.” A helicopter flew the girl to Providence Children’s Hospital in El Paso, Texas, but she died there the next morning, the statement said... https://www.westernjournal.com/department-homeland-security-reveals-official-cause-death-7-year-old-guatemalan-girl/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=newsletter-WJ&utm_campaign=dailyam&utm_content=western-journal.
Trump Backs Off Demand For Full Wall Funding,
Simultaneously Pushes Criminal Justice Reform
by BEN SHAPIRO
{dailywire.com} ~ On Tuesday, the Trump administration announced its willingness to back off of its demands for full funding for a border wall... in the newest continuing resolution to fund the government. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Fox News, “we have other ways that we can get to that $5 billion that we’ll work with Congress.” She explained, “At the end of the day, we don’t want to shut down the government. We want to shut down the border.” This marks a serious shift from the escalating tenor of President Trump’s statements on the issue. On Friday, he said that he would own a shutdown over the border; he has consistently insisted that Democrats provide him the funding he has requested. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was set to propose a bill today that would include both $1.6 billion in border funding and another $1 billion for a border security “slush fund” that could not be used toward a wall, but Democrats have already said that they will oppose such a deal. Democrats continue to preach that a wall would be immoral in some unspecified way. “It’s the wrong thing to do,” incoming Speaker of the House Nancy Pulosi (D-CA) stated. “It doesn’t work. It’s not effective. It’s the wrong thing to do and it’s a waste of money.” It does work. It’s not ineffective. And the only time Democrats seem concerned about excessive government expenditure is when national security is implicated. In any case, it’s a pretty gutless move for the administration to back down from a fight over the wall after revving up Republicans for precisely that fight – especially since back in January, Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer (D-NY) was forced to back down from his own shutdown attempt while trying to push President Trump to grant amnesty to so-called DREAMers. Americans don’t understand the Democrats’ agenda with regard to the wall. They do understand Trump’s. If Trump agrees with that assessment, backing off a fight is a mistake. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is about to send $4.8 billion to Mexico in development aid. So much for Mexico paying for the wall....
Emerald Robinson’s Stupid Lies
by JONAH GOLDBERG {nationalreview.com} ~ One of the problems with the political moment we’re in is that there are powerful incentives for people to be stupid and dishonest... The ingredients of this imperfect storm include: a populist climate where nearly all institutions are distrusted, appeals to feelings of persecution will be richly rewarded, political principle for many people is measured by blind loyalty to or hatred for a particular personality, stirring controversy is valued regardless of whether there is sufficient evidence to support an allegation or clickbaity innuendo, and conspiracy is counted as courage. All of this leads to a kind of socially constructed garbage heap that will either attract flies, vermin, and other scavengers, or turn people into them. This was the story of Milo before his self-immolation. This is the story of Infowars and Gateway Pundit. And it is the story of the failed-actress-turned-faux journalist Emerald Robinson. I’ve written about her before, back when Michael Doran gushed embarrassingly over her ludicrous tripe. Her new “scoop” is that National Review took “Google cash” to suppress conservative views. Now, there are only two possibilities here: Either Robinson is an idiot or she thinks her fans are. The sum total of her “evidence” that NR took Google cash to suppress conservative views comes from a Breitbart story about a Wired story. Here’s the gist: Google gave money to CEI, where Iain Murray works. Iain wrote a piece for us in which he disagreed with a New York Times writer who thinks the government should break up big tech firms, including Google. And . . . that’s it... https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/12/emerald-robinsons-lies-google-cash/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=NR%20Daily%20Monday%20through%20Friday%202018-12-18&utm_term=NRDaily-Smart.

The 'Likely False' Dossier and Other Collusion Fairytalesby Nate Jackson: Sometimes rehearsing history is the only way to keep the 24/7 media churn in perspective. In 2016, scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton and the DNC funded the phony dossier on Donald Trump that kicked off the whole “collusion with Russia” fiasco. As part of this opposition-research-as-intelligence scheme, scumbag/liar-Clinton’s corrupt cronies tipped off Yahoo News reporter Michael Isikoff, who was among the first to report on the dossier. scumbag/liar-Clinton then referred to “media reports” on the stump so she could smear her opponent. Former FBI Director scumbag-James Comey, the scumbag/liar-Clinton partisan hack who now says he bears no responsibility for the diminished credibility of the FBI, slyly used the dossier and other flimsy “evidence” including Isikoff’s report as justification to launch surveillance of Trump’s campaign and then dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s probe. Other Barack scumbag/liar-nObama hacks like former CIA Director scumbag/commie-John Brennan also played key roles. Fast-forward two long years swamped with investigations and Democrat efforts to undermine Americans’ faith in our election integrity, and Isikoff now says many of the claims in the dossier “will never be proven and are likely false.” But why worry about facts when there’s an elected president to undermine? After all, Isikoff still insists the dossier author, Christopher Steele, “was clearly onto something” regarding “a major Kremlin effort to interfere in our elections” and help Trump.
That latter point brings us to the latest story from The Washington Post: “A report prepared for the Senate that provides the most sweeping analysis yet of Russia’s disinformation campaign around the 2016 election found the operation used every major social media platform to deliver words, images and videos tailored to voters’ interests to help elect President Trump — and worked even harder to support him while in office.”
The Post reported on the study and then gleefully editorialized that it is now indisputable that Russia supported Trump. Is it? Not so fast.
It may be true that Russians targeted the American electorate with messages supporting Trump, and we agree with the WaPo that “this foreign intervention [is] absolutely intolerable.” (It was also intolerable when Democrats sought Soviet help to defeat Ronald Reagan in 1984.) But to think a spate of social-media posts containing thoughts already widely reflected among voters somehow swung the 2016 election — much less that Trump was complicit in it — strains credulity. In fact, we in our humble shop have always believed Russian interference boiled down to this: The Kremlin, along with nearly everyone else, assumed scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton would win in 2016, and thus sought to sow discord among American voters that would then weaken an already reset-compromised scumbag/liar-Clinton, with whom Moscow would rather deal.
That the Russians succeeded beyond their wildest dreams is an indictment of Democrats, scumbag/liar-nObama “intelligence” hacks, and the Leftmedia, not of Trump. ~The Patriot Post
