. nObama's Unilateral Disarmament
Earlier this spring, Barack nObama hosted a nuclear summit to chase his dope-smoking college dream of a nuclear-free world. Well, he may not be done. Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin writes, "The nObama administration is determined to use its final six months in office to take a series of executive actions to advance the nuclear agenda the president has advocated since his college days." If Rogin is correct, nObama intends to use his phone and pen to further disarm the U.S. via executive action.
One of the possibilities includes extending the deadline for the New START with Russia. But that is arguably the most benign. nObama also may seek to alter long-standing U.S. policy by declaring "no first use" for American nuclear weapons. Furthermore, in addition to blocking modernization of the U.S. arsenal, he may eliminate development of the Long-Range Stand-Off weapon — nuclear cruise missile — because, Rogin says, it's "a capability nObama doesn't believe the United States needs."
While the commander in chief is busy seeking to weaken the U.S., he's greatly strengthened our geopolitical adversary, Iran. According to German intelligence, Iran has pursued "illegal proliferation-sensitive procurement activities," especially seeking to obtain "goods that can be used in the field of nuclear technology." In other words, the mullahs are after nuclear weapons in violation of its much-ballyhooed agreement with the West. But this is no surprise at all to readers of these pages — pretenses aside, nObama effectively gave Iran the green light with his horrible nuclear deal.
It's also no surprise to see that the nObama administration's response to the German report is essentially, "Nothing to see here; move along." According to State Department spokesman John Kirby, "We have no information to indicate that Iran has procured any materials in violation of the [nuclear agreement]." The Left's War on Cops
Arnold Ahlert: The proverbial chickens of the American Left's obsession with divide-and-conquer politics, media-abetted false narratives, and the unrelenting vilification of police have come home to roost. Five police officers were killed, and seven others were injured in the commission of a hate crime by racist 25-year-old Army veteran Micah Xavier Johnson, who opened fire during a Dallas Black Lives Matter (BLM) protest. Johnson's home contained "bomb making materials, ballistic vests, rifles, ammunition, and a personal journal of combat tactics," Dallas police officials stated. His now-deleted Facebook cover photo showed a black liberation flag and a black power fist.
Despite those realities — and black Dallas Police Chief David Brown's statement that the cornered, and ultimately killed, sniper admitted he had trained for his mission, was angry about recent police shootings, and that he wanted "to kill white people, especially white police officers" — the Leftmedia scrupulously avoid using the terms "racist" or "hate crime."
Likewise, Barack nObama was mystified: "I think it's very hard to untangle the motives of this shooter."
The latest targeting of police has also occurred in Tennessee, Georgia, Missouri and San Antonio, Texas. BLM protesters took over the I-94 freeway in St. Paul, Minnesota, Saturday night and attacked police with concrete, rebar, rocks, bottles, fireworks and Molotov Cocktails, injuring several officers. These attacks are likely to increase, given the calls to violence and hate by many on the fringes of the BLM movement.
Unsurprisingly, the nation's community organizer in chief wasted no time demagoguing the tragedy. Even as nObama offered praise for the heroism and sacrifice of America's police officers, he made sure to include remarks about the "racial disparity in the justice system" and idea that people armed with "powerful weapons" make attacks "more deadly and more tragic." nObama also used the shooting to push for federalizing police training and, just like the Orlando atrocity, attempted to dismiss the shooter's stated agenda: "The danger is that we somehow think the act of a troubled person speaks to some larger political statement across the country — it doesn't."
No, the danger is a president with an odious worldview, one that makes him quick to weigh in on "stupid" Cambridge cops, a nonexistent son who would "look like Trayvon Martin," or the "racial disparities that appear across the system year after year," but leaves him conspicuously silent when 32-year-old Kate Steinle's life is snuffed out by an illegal alien. A president who invited BLM activists and racial arsonist Al Sharpton to the White House in February to discuss race, crime and policing. The despicable race-baiting and violence advocated by the Left gets a free pass — or even support — from a corrupt media.
Yet it isn't largely middle class "bitter clingers" in flyover country fomenting anti-cop racialist/separatist anarchy. It's leftist elites promulgating the noxious ideas that America is a nation of "white privilege" and "endemic racism." It's a BLM movement chanting "pigs in a blanket fry 'em like bacon," even as one of their leaders insists looting is a legitimate form of protest. It is the entire metastatic progressive agenda, rotting from the ground up on violent streets and speech-suppressing college campuses, and the top down in the halls of the nObama Social Justice™ Department, where justice is no longer separated from political connections.
Do millions of American really believe their relationship with law enforcement amounts to a devil's bargain? Or do they see a coordinated effort to demonize law enforcement with anecdotal incidents aimed at creating a broad-brush narrative wholly inconsistent with reality? Do many black communities view cops with mistrust? A 2015 study undertaken by the reliably leftist Washington Post revealed that police kill disproportionately more blacks than whites. Are many of those same communities virtual free-fire zones beset by crime rates that dwarf those of other communities? The same study revealed blacks commit a disproportionate number of crimes (eight times the number of homicides as whites and Hispanics combined) that explains the discrepancy.
Can we expect police to be completely immune to the environment in which they work? "We should hold cops to a higher standard of accountability than the average citizen because they are given great power," writes Matthew Hennessey. "Yet, we can't forget that the police are people, too."
Or can we? It is one thing for leftists to nurture a sense of hopelessness and victimization among black Americans that can be ameliorated only by remaining within Democrat-run urban poverty plantations. It quite another to harness that misguided loyalty and turn it into rage against a law enforcement community that is the only thing standing between Rule of Law and anarchy.
America has long endured the consequences of a morally bankrupt progressive movement that embraces anarchy — and calls it social justice. A war on cops is more like it. -The Patriot Post

Reporting on Kentucky's new Noah's Ark Experience – a Christian theme-park with a life-size replica of the biblical structure – CBS News just helped themselves to a few servings of Christian bashing by commenting on the structure's ignorance while question whether its tax-exempt status violates separation of church and state. For the record, I do not agree with the theme park's founder Ken Ham on any of his conclusions regarding a 6,000-year-old earth. The U.S. released him to his native Russia along with six other detainees who subsequently became known as the "Russian Taliban," according to an alarming report published by a Washington D.C. think-tank that studies totalitarian societies of Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. One of the members of the so-called Russian Taliban, Airat Vakhitov, is among 30 people arrested by Turkish authorities in connection with the attack at Istanbul's Ataturk airport that killed dozens and injured more than 100, a U.S. government-funded news service reports. Vakhitov spent two years at Gitmo after being captured by U.S. forces in Afghanistan in 2001, the news report says, and he's one of 11 Russian citizens arrested in the last few days in connection with the Turkey attack, which was carried out by ISIS. The ruling still constitutes a rebuke, carrying with it the force of the international community's opinion. {townhall.com} ~ Thanks to the FBI’s press conference about liar-Hillary Clinton’s emails we now know with a good degree of certainty that in America the rule of law no longer matters. Last week we witnessed Democrats not just living above the law, but reveling in lawlessness -- just like pigs in slop.You can’t make this stuff up. During a July 5 press conference, FBI Director James Comey acknowledged that liar-Hillary Clinton met every requirement for a felony violation under Section 793(f) of the federal penal code. Mr. Comey said liar-Hillary acted in gross negligence in the removal of or causing the removal of highly classified information, transmitting it to those not authorized to see it. Comey acknowledged liar-Hillary was also “extremely careless,” and likely allowed correspondence to be intercepted by foreign intelligence agencies. Even still, Mr. Comey said the FBI did not recommend prosecution because he claimed there was no “intent” to harm the United States.
“To be clear,” said FBI Director Comey, “this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding right now.” And who is surprised? Get used to it, peasants; laws are for us, not political elites.
Considering the punishment applied by the nObama administration to former CIA Director David Petraeus but not to IRS’s Lois Lerner or liar-Hillary Clinton -- the arc of Martin Luther King’s moral universe might be long -- but it obviously doesn’t bend toward justice if liberals are in control.
Enter: Donald J. Trump.
Before you spit out your coffee, please allow me to reconfirm that I still hold deep concerns about what a Trump presidency means. Please do not accept this as an all-out endorsement, and please understand that if Ted Cruz were still in the race, this part of the column would be moot. But, it is what it is, and we are where we are.
That said, the world is on fire and it seems the one country that can do anything about it, America, is on the brink of collapse unless something gives. For me, last week changed everything -- when I heard FBI Director Comey confirm that liar-Hillary Clinton indeed lied to the American people but he wouldn’t recommend that the DOJ prosecute. Later, nObama’s Department of Justice dropped the case.
Add to that, as I write, police across the country are being targeted for assassination. Numerous police were killed and injured while protecting a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas. NBC News reports the assassin told officers he was upset about recent police-involved shootings and “wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.”
This is hard to say, but no less true. America has grown more racially divided the past eight years and liar-Hillary Clinton would only make things worse. Rather than standing against wrong and defending right, today’s Democrats coddle just about anyone who will vote for them.
And what about all the terrorist attacks on U.S. soil? Liberals bow at the altar of political correctness and it’s killing us. Thanks to the FBI investigation, we know how seriously liar-Hillary takes national security. The last thing we need is a president so preoccupied with all the scandals she creates she can’t address what matters.
With that said, I can definitively say I’d never vote for that woman. And Donald’s all we’ve got. This evangelical’s thankful he’s surrounded himself with good Christian leaders that’ll hopefully rub off on him. He promises to protect Christians from the oppression they’ve seen at the hands of this administration and court system leftists. Tough times call for tough measures. I sure hope I’ve been wrong about Trump.
It’ll be a joy if I have to eat some “humble pie.”
