A billboard has gone up by the Dallas Zoo that reads “One Family – One Message.” It’s part of a campaign, in both English and Spanish, launched by the Islamic Circle of North America.

The literature is the last free thing if you choose to become Muslim – in doing so, you relinquish your freedoms

“As American Muslims, it is our religious and civic responsibility to present fellow citizens authentic information about Islam and Muslims, encourage healthy dialog and bring about a positive change in the society,” says the organization’s Outreach Director in Dallas Riyaz Lareef.

There’s almost no truth to Lareef’s statement. Dawah is required of Muslims but there’s no civic duty as an American to proselytize other Americans, and there is certainly nothing positive that Islam has brought to America. Nothing. The originator of the ads clarifies how Islam feels about Jesus (below).

Lareef says the messages on the billboards are designed to illustrate the common roots of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The campaign also encourages people to call a toll free number 1-877-WHY-ISLAM hotline or visit http://www.whyislam.org to learn about Islam and Muslims and ask questions about the religion.

The “One Family – One Message” campaign runs from Dec. 15, 2014 through Jan. 9, 2014.
