Never forget that most Union contracts use the Minimum Wage as a base number and figure the union wages as minimum wage plus X% so increases are Exponential.
If the minimum wage became $50/hr effectively septuple the wage base... the average middle-class wage would pass $100/hr. Burger King would be charging $40 for a BK jr... and $10 for a small drink... other employers would be doing the same... how would that work?
Besides increasing the FEDERAL INCOME TAX REVENUE and destroying the consumer economy... what else would it do? Rents increased by 7times their current base.
