Sources close to the White House and Capitol Hill say the progressive left is getting ready to launch a full-scale nationwide resistance attack in response to what many people think will be a giant shock to the economy and the world's politics.

Inside the Trump White House and among Republican strategists, there is a growing sense that a massive revolt will be detonated this week, maybe as early as Tuesday, the 2nd of April.

Reports say that important progressive groups, unions, climate coalitions, and even some people in Silicon Valley are planning an aggressive response in case Trump's tariff plan goes into effect on April 2 and makes the economy unstable and the country even more divided.

How many of these groups will join the rebellion?

• Sunrise Movement and Justice Democrats are laying groundwork to tie tariffs to climate instability and labor exploitation.
• Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have called for emergency meetings with labor unions to prepare mass mobilizations in urban centers.
