Remember how you were called deplorables, garbage, smelly Walmart shoppers, Nazis, and white supremacists (including our minority members), but now it seems the majority of America has just received an upgrade, a promotion from the Democrat Party! Democrats have rebranded MAGA from deplorables to "angry teenagers whose brains are still forming." WOW, how does it feel to be considered at least a human and to have a brain to boot, even though it is still forming?
Slotkin’s comments were a subtle rebuke of the majority of voters, clearly portraying the Democrats as more evolved, enlightened, and progressive, while the hundreds of millions of voters who disagree with the Democrat platform have awakened to the fact they are not the ones who are the angry children.
The Democrat Party has long been known for its evolving rhetoric when it comes to supporters of former President Donald Trump. Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) has now transformed Trump voters from "deplorables" to "fascists," comparing them to "angry teenagers" whose "brains are still forming."
Slotkin's remarks, delivered while appearing on The View, drew immediate backlash from conservatives on social media, who saw them as yet another dismissive insult aimed at millions of Americans. According to Slotkin, America is currently undergoing a period known as the "angry teenage years," characterized by a pendulum-like oscillation. While she attempted to frame her comments as a broader critique of political division, conservatives interpreted her words as a condescending slight toward Trump voters.
Over the years, Democrats have struggled to categorize and demonize Trump’s base.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton famously labeled half of Trump’s supporters as a "basket of deplorables."
In 2022, President Biden escalated the rhetoric, calling MAGA Republicans "fascists."
In 2025, now, Slotkin’s comparison of Trump voters to "angry teenagers" marks yet another attempt to rebrand the movement in a patronizing light.
Steve Eichler, CEO of the Patriot Command Center, said, “Yes, we are angry when we look at what the Democrats have done to our country and the future of our children.”
This latest shift, while still demeaning, may actually be an improvement. Unlike past descriptions that framed MAGA voters as irredeemable or dangerous, the "angry teenager" metaphor at least implies the potential for growth and change, a subtle acknowledgment these voters might still be won over, albeit in a way that infantilizes them.
Slotkin's comments sparked a wave of conservative backlash. Abigail Jackson, communications director for Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), pointed out the hypocrisy of the left’s messaging: "Ah yes, we've reached the point post-election loss where Democrats just revert to calling Americans stupid for voting against them. Not a single ounce of self-awareness to be found."
Others took issue with the tone of Slotkin’s remarks, noting the irony of a senator lecturing voters on brain development while making sweeping generalizations about them. Fox News contributor Joe Concha observed, "Slotkin says this while literally sounding like a teenager..."
Similarly, Guy Benson questioned the supposed intellectual superiority of the Democrat Party’s messaging: "This is supposedly their smart, reasonable messenger?"
Even broader ideological critiques emerged. Stephen L. Miller, a contributing editor at The Spectator, pointed out the inconsistency in Democrats' rhetoric about teenagers in various political contexts, saying, "It's interesting to compare this to their arguments on transitioning teenagers."
While Slotkin’s remarks were widely condemned, they also suggest a strategic pivot by Democrats. Rather than outright demonization, there seems to be a shift toward a more paternalistic framing—essentially telling Trump voters, "We know you're upset, but you just don’t know any better yet."
This shift could be interpreted as an acknowledgment of the Democrat Party’s ongoing struggle to win back working-class voters in key states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Slotkin herself represents Michigan, a state that Trump carried despite her own Senate victory. Her attempts to balance between appealing to Trump voters and maintaining the Democratic establishment's stance may indicate an internal debate within the party on how best to counter Trump's influence.
The MAGA movement has endured years of mockery and attacks, yet it has remained resilient and, in many cases, has grown stronger. If labeling Trump supporters as "deplorables" didn't deter them, it's unlikely that comparing them to "angry teenagers" will either. Instead, such remarks only reinforce the perception that the Democrat Party remains disconnected from the concerns of everyday Americans.
Final Word: Wait a minute, if Democrats believe teenagers have brains still in ‘formation,’ then how can they justify teenagers making life decisions when it comes to sex change operations without the guidance of their grown-up parents?

As the triumphant Phoenix rises from the ashes, Ms Slotkin "rises" too, for she's become the face of a defeated polltical party desperately trying to stuff the genie back in the bottle.
