The demonizing and outlawing of political dissidents should be expected... it is classical Marxist ideology and just one of PHASE in the subversion and transformation of the existing government into a communist government.

The Republic remains a republic, although horribly abused.
We must resist treating either victims as broken porcelain,
to be discarded when marred.

The solution for self-governing people is quite simply, refuse to comply with the authoritarian overlords. But one must always be ready to meet one's Maker, as we all must at a time of His choosing.

As a Bible reading believer, I am sure that you know precisely how that worked. And so do the men and women who sacrificed their all to defend the Judeo-Christian principles upon which our great country was founded. Many of us are old, experienced and observant enough to know that this battle has been raging between good and evil for our entire lifetimes. But as believers we also know Who has already defeated the Enemy of good, so we can be happy warriors in this earthly battle. If things are about to change for the worse then we must still be ready do our best to the end. And if things do get worse, then that only proves one thing; it is not the end yet. Have faith brother as He has got this!

The resolution may not be in or just about our personal lifes vantage point, just as it was for the Apostles.
Individual life in freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, like other truths, are beautiful visions to be sought for and understood generationally.
But like any precious commodity, is not guaranteed and when gained must be safeguarded in constant vigilance, or suffer the trials we suffer now.
