(PatriotHQ) The Swamp is worried about the new backbone mysteriously growing in the Republican Party. The liberals thought they had the Elephant Party exactly where they wanted them, under their boot heel. But ever since Trump showed up the baby elephants have turned from frighten little boys into grown-ups and now are flexing their newfound muscles.
The alarm bells are going off. Sen. Schumer Letter to Dems: 'MAGA' Debt Plan 'Far-Right Ransom Note'
Get this. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., sent a "dear colleague" letter to Senate Democrats to criticize House Republicans' plan to avoid a default on the U.S. debt while cutting domestic spending.
Last week, the House passed the "Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023" by a vote of 217 to 115. Schumer called it a "far-right ransom note" and a "MAGA Republican" plan. He called it the "Default on America Act," or DOA.
In a message to Senate Democrats, Schumer told them, "It has no chance of ever becoming law."
Schumer made fun of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., all over the letter. For example, he said McCarthy "let extremists take him hostage."
Schumer sent a letter to his colleagues saying the Democrats' way or the highway was the only way to raise the debt limit. He did this under the guise of asking for joint talks on the issue.
Schumer wrote, "As Democrats have been saying for months, the real solution is for both sides to agree on a clean bill to raise the debt limit and avoid default." "With their far-right ransom note, Speaker McCarthy and the MAGA House Republicans have taken the process backwards.
"We can't move forward as long as Republicans keep threatening to let the country go bankrupt."
But McCarthy and other Republican leaders say their plan is the only one raises the debt limit in a responsible way while cutting back on the Democrats' plans to spend too much on social programs.
"The House Republicans just passed the only bill in Washington raises the debt limit, ends wasteful government spending, and puts America back on the right economic path," McCarthy told reporters after the bill passed with only GOP backing. "It's too bad the Democrats have to do their jobs now.
"The president can no longer just ignore by not negotiating." Instead, he must emerge from the basement and face the world!
House GOP Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., told CNN on Sunday he can only promise the United States won't default on its debt "if our president and [Senate Majority Leader Chuck] Schumer understand how serious the problem is."
"We have passed a debt-ceiling solution," he said. "House Republicans will not let America default on its debt; we showed last week."
"The Senate is working on a solution right now."
The GOP bill raises the debt limit until May of 2024, but it also plans to cut spending by $4.8 trillion. This will get rid of some of the Democrats' spending plans were signed into law but can't be paid for with the current debt limit, which could be hit by June.
Even though Schumer said at the end of his letter Democrats "will do everything we can to protect the American people and prevent a default,” won’t include working with Republicans and fiscal conservatives who ignored the U.S. debt limit.
Schumer wrote the Senate will show the people what this bill is about. "Starting this week, our committees will start holding hearings to find out how this careless law really affects regular Americans. The Default on America Act will be discussed at a Budget Committee meeting on Thursday.
If the Senate doesn't pass the plan from the House GOP, there won't be much time before June to stop the first default on American debt.
In conclusion. The Left is confused. How can anyone really want to Make America Great Again? A weak America can be controlled but a strong America doesn’t need the enlightened progressive guidance of the all-wise liberal masters. How could the liberals let the Republican backbone grow without liberal permission!
Now this is getting exciting!

The Republican Leaders reminds me of JELLYFISH... Invertebrates... not a bone in their body
The republican party needs to grow a backbone and get some balls guts!
The Budget bill passed in the House, But its chances in the senate are v ery doubful, The chances of the Republicans caving in are very great,
The dog and pony show continues in the District of Corruption. As usual, the GOP caved-in at the first hint of resistance by the commiecrat party. It's business as usual for the uniparty.
...and it's not even show dogs and prize ponys! Muts and donkeys
The GOP is more akin to spineless Jelly Fish... as they float around in the cesspool we call Washington, DC. Top feeders whose entire life is spent waiting on their victims to venture into their carefully disguised tentacles... These spineless and mundane creatures' entire existence depends on the careless drifting of their constituents into their trailing arms of deceit.
They are growing a backbone, I'll let everybody know when the Elephant Party has one! (or die of old age waiting)
No, they have caved... they are merely engaging in more self-serving pandering... as the Democrats laugh all the way to the bank with your children's future
The Debt Relief Bill is a Red Herring... it doesn't reduce our debt nor end deficit spending. The GOP Bill offers a 1.5 Trillion increase in the'Debt Ceiling' (not a cap or reduction).... guarantees at least a 1% annual growth to the current record levels of Congressional spending.
The savings touted by the GOP ARE NOT SAVINGS... Not in the usual sense of the term and budgets... They are a REDUCTION IN THE GROWTH OF SPENDING... In other words, th Bill guarantees annual increases in spending. Some debt relief Bill... It adds more debt to our growing national debt. As usual, the GOP is engaged in disengenuous acts with the hope that their base will not recognize their deceit and betrayal.
Well, I haven't seen much of anything out of them except talk so why should I think they had backbones?
The Repubs (which I am not one of them) are going to have their A$$ handed to them in 2024 unless they get a lot mre done.
Talk is cheap Bull$hit talks, Action Walks!
