13554681886?profile=RESIZE_400xIs there a severe sinner shortage? One would think so because it appears the Catholic Church has been caught up in cultural shifts, political turbulence, and social engineering and, as a result, has missed its most important mission, and that is to minister to the spiritual needs of billions of people.

Enter Pope Leo XIV, born Cardinal Robert Prevost. For many, his election represents continuity with the progressive papacy of Francis. But for American patriots, especially those who support President Donald Trump and the nationalist-populist cause, his ascension raises stark and deeply uncomfortable questions.

The real problem should not be President Trump or how society is reacting to social issues but a much more profound issue: the souls of men.

Should the Pope in Rome stand in open opposition to the President in Washington or focus on more important things?

That’s not a hypothetical. Pope Francis, Leo’s predecessor and ideological touchstone, clashed with Trump repeatedly over border walls, immigration enforcement, and the very definition of Christian compassion. From suggesting Trump was “not Christian” to condemning mass deportations as attacks on human dignity, Francis never shied away from confronting American nationalism. And Leo XIV, it seems, will not be any different.

Prevost’s social media history has already stirred controversy. Tweets critical of Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, retweets celebrating George Floyd, and his long-standing association with the Francis papacy have sent a clear signal to traditionalists: the new Pope is not going to make peace with MAGA.

Critics like Laura Loomer have called him “anti-Trump, anti-MAGA, pro-open borders, and a total Marxist.” Indeed, these are harsh words. But they reflect a growing fear among American conservatives that the Vatican has become indistinguishable from globalist NGO culture, cloaked in theological language.

But why should people question the entanglement of the Catholic Church with Washington and, in fact, with any government? Because ‘The Church’ is not a glorified political hack but an extension of the Almighty and thus must do the business of the Almighty.

What is the business of the Almighty? Has the Almighty run out of work to do? Has the world run out of shattered homes? Have all the broken families been healed? Have the slaves to drugs and intoxicants been freed from the prison of addiction?  Is there a shortage of abused children? Has the world run out of orphans?

Has a worldwide famine of suffering not reached an epic proportion? Are there not already enough casualties from the Russian/Ukrainian conflict?

Is there a shortage of hate, racism, and antisemitism?

Is the Catholic Church's wealth so great that it must hire more accountants to count it, leaving no time to help the poor?

Has Satan taken a holiday and his demon armies on furlough?

The role of the church, whether Catholic, Protestant, or Christian, must always be to care for sinners and shine the light of salvation that illuminates the path to everlasting life, and nothing else.

Since when has the Church's mission included sanctifying George Floyd, condemning political parties, and lecturing the world about clean energy, while tens of millions of lost souls have never heard the story of Jesus!

The Catholic Church's mission has become misguided, leading it astray in a world that is rapidly deteriorating. Instead of being the beacon of saving lights for the world, it has become a flickering streetlight on the road to servitude.

How can any church educate the world about immigration rights when millions of lost souls are heading toward damnation?

To pretend that the Church is currently floating above politics, remaining unmoved and unentangled, is nothing more than outright denial. The Catholic Church must return to the teachings of its founding principles, the Bible, and not the Rules for Radicals.

Final Word: Will Pope Leo continue to uphold the status quo, or will he take on the divine task of saving the lost?

  • The church showed her true colors when convid showed up. It was, among other things, a test. Everything's a test, one way or another, The church should have risen into righteous rebellion according to the book of Daniel. It was the same exact situation. Daniel was told to not pray to any other god except whom the dictator, I mean King, said to pray to. Instead Daniel flung upon his shutters and prayed loudly at the window to our God in Heaven and he was heard by the town below.
He did just the opposite of what our pastors and preachers did.

If we are to do as the Bible says, then why didn't the church do that?

But, no. No sign of righteousness, except for a few. Dr. Rodney Howard-Brown, a FL pastor, was one of the extreme few who refused to close. He was taken to jail for 5 minutes and as soon as he got out, mocked govco.INC publicly from the podium. Then he went out and paid out of his own cash to buy a huge tent, and from then on, held services in the parking lot. He mocked govco again and again. He used his mouth to rebel. And then his own cash. He was shamelessly for GOD.

It's a shame that congregation after congregation, who COULD have demanded their Pastors continue to hold church, did not. None did that I saw or heard. It was a weighing. God is not mocked, but they, pastors and flocks, did not do as they should have done. What would our Founders have done? I think the saying, "they fought like hell," left out a part at the end, "as if hell was at the door." And it was at the door.

    • Thank you, but it's the members that make it work!

  • Only when I see the church taking in people, housing, doctoring, feeding, educating them ON THEIR DIME....not government money, do I want to hear anything about borders, climate, energy, etc. from anyone at any level in the church.

    • 10/4 Right on!
