Several members have contacted me, very concerned about last night’s blue tsunami, and, to be honest, it was a shocker!

Voters delivered victories to Democrats across multiple races, including key gubernatorial seats they were expected to hold, shocking even Democrats that they had actually won!  While concerns about irregularities and potential irregularities exist and deserve examination, those issues alone do not account for the scale of the shifts we saw, including in places such as Texas. The deeper reasons are real, and they point first to a failure of communication.

Higher prices at the pump and in daily life, the necessity of confronting Iran’s nuclear program, and firm support for Israel were not isolated problems. They shared a common root.

To be blunt, Iran stood days away from completing a nuclear weapon, with reserves sufficient to produce more. That threat had to be stopped before it became irreversible. The action required to halt it contributed to higher energy costs. It also required clear support for Israel, a nation that faced the same regime as a direct target. These connections were real, but the Republican Party assumed the public already understood them.

To make matters worse. A biased media environment amplified opposing narratives and drowned out straightforward explanations of the stakes. When the reasons for hard but necessary choices go unexplained, voters fill the gap with frustration over what they feel immediately in their wallets and daily lives.

Democrats now smell blood in the water.  They believe they have shown they can blunt the MAGA movement and claim momentum. That reading is ill-founded. Political tides shift, but the underlying realities do not.

Here is the inside scoop. The Socialist approaches that demand higher taxes, expanded control over personal and economic decisions, and the dismantling of the priorities that define the MAGA agenda remain on the table. Those priorities matter to millions of Americans who want secure borders, energy independence, and a government that does not treat citizens as problems to manage.

Please understand this: strength is not automatic. It is built through steady effort when the results of one cycle are disappointing.

As Ronald Reagan reminded us, “Only the strong are free, and peace comes only through strength.” The same principle applies at home.

Keep marching. Keep building. The next presidential election is not a distant event; it is the outcome of the work done in the years between now and then.
