Once again the Bible is true even in the 21st century.
Read it for yourself. The designer known as a "Satanist" expressed strong criticism towards Target for setting a dangerous precedent by removing their products. Target initially collaborated with the U.K.-based brand Abprallen to offer merchandise with pro-LGBTQ messages for Pride month.
However, the display of these products, particularly those intended for children, sparked anger among some consumers. It was later revealed that Abprallen's designer, Erik Carnell, identifies as a Satanist and incorporates occult imagery and messages related to Satan in their brand. In response to the backlash, Target relocated some Pride products to less prominent areas of the store and removed others entirely.
Carnell, who claims the references to Satan are meant humorously, strongly criticized Target's actions. They argued that it sets a dangerous precedent where the company can distance itself from the LGBTQ community when convenient, based on public outcry.
Carnell emphasized that if Target claims to support the LGBTQ community, it should stand by that support regardless of public opinion.
The controversy surrounding the removal of the products led to a drop in Target's stock price and dissatisfaction among some employees. Carnell also mentioned receiving hate messages and death threats as a result of the controversy.
IMO – Target decided Gay, LGBTQ swag is better for the customer which includes children and families than wholesome America style clothing and swag. In doing so they released a whirlwind and the storm is just getting started. YIKE!
