The so-called “No Kings Day” is yet another example of progressive activism that completely misses the mark. Its surface-level message, a rejection of authoritarianism, is noble in theory. But in practice, it’s just political theater, aimed at a make-believe villain. Instead of targeting the bloated machinery of government pulling the strings on our lives, making citizens into nothing more than marionettes, dancing to the masters pleasure.

The masses are concentrating their attention on a single man, while a bloated, obsessed government seeks to pull their strings and manipulate them, diverting their focus to one individual rather than the marionette master.

The marionette master has pulled their strings and tricked the protesters into rallying against a figurehead while leaving the real issue untouched: the government’s relentless control over our wallets, choices, businesses, and communities.

It’s not about kings. It’s about strings, and the government has far too many of them wrapped around every Americans life.

The strings wind deep into our lives. From IRS forms to building permits, climate regulation to healthcare mandates, federal overreach continues to grow, regardless of who sits in the White House. Unelected and unaccountable, the deep-state bureaucracy manipulates outcomes that impact all of us. They regulate our industry, monitor our finances, and insert themselves into every sphere of American life.

Want to start a small business? Get ready to navigate a jungle of red tape and a ball of strings pulling the entrepreneur into a contorted position of legislative torture. Want to keep more of what you earn? Observe how quickly taxes consume your paycheck, fueling the insatiable appetite of a government addicted to spending. Now, do you think there are no strings and you are not the marionette? Look again.

Distraction tactics employed by progressives will be intensified. Rather than tackling these genuine issues, progressive activists are once again intensely focused on criticizing a president who is genuinely attempting to control the very forces they are supposed to oppose. Cutting taxes, reducing regulations, and attempting to secure the border are not authoritarian actions; rather, they are attempts to restore control to the people and lessen the influence of centralized power.

Yet, the progressive movement, angry about losing dominance over media narratives, cultural institutions, and political influence, seems more interested in demonizing leadership than confronting bloated bureaucracy or endless spending sprees.

No Strings Day is a far better vision for the future of America. Instead of displaying placards proclaiming, "No Kings," Americans ought to unite behind the concept of No Strings, a rallying cry to sever the government's control over citizens and industries, and when successful, the world will witness an unrestricted economy and people bursting into freedom!

A real “No Strings Day” would celebrate:

• Lower taxes and the freedom to keep more of your hard-earned money
• Less regulation so entrepreneurs can build without being strangled by red tape and strings
• Prioritize local empowerment instead of imposing top-down mandates from Washington.
• Enlarge government transparency and accountability instead of hidden spending in bloated bills.

It would be a day to remind ourselves that we don’t need puppet masters in a giant federal office complex pulling strings we never see until it’s too late.

Let us, We the People, live in freedom and cease placing all the blame on one individual. We don’t need more protests built on slogans and anger. We need focused movements that demand a leaner, freer, and more accountable government. If we want to push back against tyranny, start by cutting the strings, not just shouting about an imaginary crown.
