This week, the Biden Regime announced new rules for home appliances. The new rules focus on air conditioners and are meant to cut down on the country's carbon emissions.
The Department of Energy (DOE) released the rules on Thursday. They set the final standards for how energy-efficient home air conditioners, such as window air conditioners, and portable air cleaners should be.
The DOE believes the change would reduce pollution in the air and save energy, which would lower consumer costs by billions of dollars, but there is just one problem, tens of millions of Americans just have to learn to deal with ‘Heat-Stroke.’
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said in a statement, "Today's announcement builds on the historic steps Biden took last year to strengthen out-of-date energy efficiency standards." This will help people save money on their energy bills and reduce our country's carbon footprint but doesn’t explain how!
Ok, electric bills will decrease because you had your air-conditioner confiscated, but isn’t this why you work, so to live in comfort and not as beast?
The DOE says the new standards for energy efficiency will save Americans about $1.5 billion a year and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 106 million metric tons over the next 30 years. The agency also said the rules were part of Biden's efforts to encourage innovation and lower costs for families "while addressing the climate crisis." However, refuses to mention how are people going to stay comfortable while at work or home? But the swamp doesn’t care about people dying in hot boxes! (Their homes)
The rules for air cleaners will go into effect in 2024, and the rules for room air conditioners will go into effect in 2026.
Over the past few months, the DOE has put out a number of draconian regulations how energy-efficient home appliances like gas stoves, ovens, clothes washers, and refrigerators need to be.
A former senior DOE official told reporters in the past the actions of the Biden administration would lead to higher prices for consumers! The response is usually: what price is too high to save the planet? Besides the people have to pay for it, not us!
The official said, "Their philosophy is energy efficiency at all costs, or energy efficiency no matter what." " means because of their efficiency standards, appliances are going to cost much, much more.”
The truth is these new rules won't save a lot of energy and if these draconian rules are strictly enforced then every house becomes a steam both with no off switch!
The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), which is the largest trade group in the U.S. for appliance makers and suppliers, has said the actions will hurt low-income households the most and lower the quality of products overall. The Biden Regime was at the ice cream store and unable to respond.
AHAM spokesperson Jill Notini recently told reporters the estimated savings from the energy efficiency rules "don't add up right now in this time of high inflation" because of the higher costs of appliances.
On his first day in office in January 2021, President Biden signed an order told the DOE to make "major changes" to the rules for regulating appliances were set by the Trump administration and the rules were in place when Biden took office. A month later, the agency started to move forward with more than a dozen rules would affect a wide range of appliances and how they use energy.
In conclusion. As always, the government must find a way to capture freedom and bring the citizenry into slavery! Think I’m kidding? I remember the day I could drive my gas-powered car home from work, cook a good meal on my gas stove, in a cooled home and take a hot shower heated by a gas hot water heater and then look forward to the weekend for a barbecue while drinking cold beer out of the beer frig.
Now, I’m worried my home will be turned into a crematorium in the summer and a frost-bite family home in the winter!
