The betrayal of Ken Cuccinelli has the GOP going back to the future

Call them the Sabotage Republicans.

They have been busily at work in Virginia these last few weeks, sabotaging the gubernatorial campaign of Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.

But first?

While we’re at it, let’s throw in one more headline, like the last three from yesterday, this headline too is a real one:

Now, notice anything here?

Every time some Establishment GOP nominee loses the White House or a hot gubernatorial, Senate or other race — conservatives have been silent about this unending ability of Establishment Republicans to lose either close elections or win them by unnecessarily close margins..

Yet if one conservative — that would be Ken Cuccinelli this week — loses a race, Katie bar the door.

Worse, up until now not much has been made of the long, disgraceful trait of Establishment Republicans to demand party unity — unless they lose a primary or a convention. In which case they simply refuse to unite behind the winning conservative. And deliberately, with malice aforethought — actively seek to sabotage that conservative.

There was one notable exception to this, captured in that 1976 New York Times headline which we have cited in this space many times. Ronald Reagan had finally had enough — and in the aftermath of yet another Establishment GOP presidential crash he made clear what path the GOP had to follow if it really wanted to win. Losing to Gerald Ford in the battle for the 1976 nomination, Reagan made a rallying speech for Ford at the convention and campaigned for him that fall. Ford lost. A month after the 1976 election, Reagan made a point of breaking the traditional conservative silence on losing Establishment races and turned the tables. A political party was not a “fraternal order” he said tartly to the Times, and that was the real problem with moderate, Establishment Republicanism. Which is why they kept setting the party up for repeated defeats.

In fact, one of the real problems here — as exemplified by the Cuccinelli defeat — is that moderate Republicans not only refuse to pull together. They go out of their way to sabotage the conservative.

Say it again? That word is sabotage. Betrayal. The Establishment GOP goes out…of…its…way to sabotage. Spelled s-a-b-o-t-a-g-e.

Let’s name some names here, shall we? Present and past to illustrate the point.

We’ll start here with this story in Breitbart by Matthew Boyle. The headline?

Cantor’s Ex-Chief of Staff Helped McAuliffe to Victory

The story begins thusly:

The ex-chief of staff for House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) helped Democrat Terry McAuliffe beat Republican Ken Cuccinelli in Virginia’s gubernatorial election race.

Boyle goes on to detail how GOP House Majority Leader’s ex-chief of staff Boyd Marcus, who had supported the GOP moderate Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling over Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli for governor. Cuccinelli won the day — so what to do? Why but of course! Marcus was out the door to help defeat Cuccinelli by actively working to elect Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

Marcus is quoted as saying — and I have supplied the bold print for emphasis:

“I was looking at the candidates, and I saw Terry McAuliffe as the guy who will work with everybody to get things done… Virginia needs an experienced businessman who will put the practical needs of our people ahead of political ideology. I’ve never before supported any Democrat, but this election Terry is the clear choice for mainstream conservatives. I am excited to work with him to grow the already-long list of prominent Republican leaders who are supporting his campaign.”

Got that?

Terry McAuliffe — your basic left-wing liberal, huge supporter of Obamacare, abortion on demand, high taxes and big government among other things (does the name Hillary Clinton ring a bell?) — and Boyd Marcus the Cantor/Bolling guy, plus an “already-long list of prominent Republicans,” see Ken Cuccinelli as the ideologue. And these guys are, they say, the “mainstream conservatives.”

Scratch a “mainstream conservative” on Eric Cantor’s staff, apparently, and what you really have is a left-wing liberal.

Is there any wonder why the GOP House Leadership has had so many problems dealing with conservative members? Clearly there is reason to believe the Leader’s staff of the supposedly conservative party isn’t even close to being “mainstream conservative.” In the case of Marcus, he has vividly illustrated that in fact he was all too willing to go over the side to a far-left ideology.

Marcus isn’t alone in the Sabotage Republican category. In fact, he is merely typical of the breed.

Here’s the difference between conservatives and Establishment Republicans.

Back in the paleo-days of American political history — 1960 — Barry Goldwater’s name was placed in nomination for the presidency. He lost — he actually never ran a real campaign — but be that as it may, when he went to the podium of the 1960 GOP convention to withdraw his name and endorse Establishment winner Vice President Richard Nixon he said this, bold print added for emphasis:

Now you conservatives and all Republicans, I’d like you to listen to this. While Dick and I may disagree on some points, they’re not many. I would not want any negative action of mine to enhance the possibility of a victory going to those who by their very words have lost faith in America….. And you conservatives think this over—we don’t gain anything when you get mad at a candidate because you don’t agree with his every philosophy. We don’t gain anything when you disagree with the platform and then do not go out and work and vote for your party.
…I know what you say. You say, “I’ll get even with that fellow. I’ll show this party something!” But what are you doing when you stay at home? You are helping the opposition party elect candidates dedicated to the destruction of this country!
…Now I implore you. Forget it! We’ve had our chance, and I think the conservatives have made a splendid showing at this convention!
We’ve had our chance: we’ve fought our battle. Now let’s put our shoulders to the wheels of Dick Nixon and push him across the line. Let’s not stand back. This country is too important for anyone’s feelings: this country in its majesty is too great for any man, be he conservative or liberal, to stay home and not work just because he doesn’t agree. Let’s grow up, conservatives.
Let’s, if we want to take this party back—and I think we can someday—let’s get to work.
I’m a conservative and I’m going to devote all my time from now until November to electing Republicans from the top of the ticket to the bottom of the ticket, and I call upon my fellow conservatives to do the same. Just let us remember that we are facing Democrat candidates and a Democrat platform that signify a new type of New Deal, far more menacing than anything we have seen in the past.”

Then comes 1964. Barry Goldwater and his conservatives defeat liberal Republican New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller. Like Goldwater the loser fours earlier, Rockefeller the loser this time gets his five minutes to address the delegates and the nation via television.

Unlike the conservative loser Goldwater in 1960, the Establishment loser Rockefeller took a very different approach to losing.

Said Rockefeller, and we will leave in the notations of “Crowd Boos” as they happened in the original, with bold print supplied for emphasis:

During this year I have criss-crossed this nation fighting—to keep the Republican party the party of all the people and warning of the extremist threat, it’s a danger to the party.
—It’s danger to the party and it’s danger to the nation. The methods of these extremist elements, I have experienced first hand. [Crowd boos.] That’s right. Their tactics have ranged from cancellation by coercion of a speaking engagement before a college to outright threats of personal violence.
This is still a free country ladies and gentlemen. [Crowd boos.] These things, ladies and gentlemen have no place in America, but I can personally testify to their existence. And, so can countless others who have also experienced anonymous mid-night and early morning telephone calls. That’s right. [Crowd boos.] Unsigned and threatening letters. Smear and hate literature, strong-arm goon tactics, bomb threats and bombings. Infiltration and takeover of established political organizations by Communist and Nazi methods! [Crowd boos.]
Some of you don’t like to hear it ladies and gentlemen, but it’s the truth. These extremists feed on fear, hate and terror…There is no place in this Republican party…for such hawkers of hate, such purveyors of prejudice, such fabricators of fear. [Crowd boos.] Whether Communist, Ku Klux Klan or Birchers! [Crowd boos and begins continuous cheer of “We want Barry!] There is no place in this Republican Party for those who would infiltrate its ranks, distort its aims and convert it into a cloak of apparent respectability for a dangerous extremism. And make no mistake about it, the hidden members of the John Birch Society and other like them are out to do just that.

Lovely. Not a word there about the real opponent in 1964 — Lyndon Johnson, the Great Society, the impending deluge of Big Government that would swamp the country and set it on the road to fiscal disaster. No, Rockefeller’s approach was to go after conservatives and trash them. They were Nazis. Klan members. Haters.

Then there was this jewel.

In the closing hours of that 1964 nomination battle, when it was abundantly clear to all that Goldwater had well-more than a majority of the votes, out came this charming missive over the name of Rockefeller’s last minute replacement as the liberal GOP hope to defeat Goldwater. Pennsylvania Governor William Scranton. Tellingly, it was written by Scranton’s staff and not seen by their boss, but it reflected the liberal GOP mindset. The letter was, as presidential campaign chronicler Theodore H. White described it, theoretically a debate challenge. But in fact it read “less like a challenge to debate than an indictment, a summons to Goldwater to stand trial before the Convention delegates.” The letter read, in part, with bold print added for emphasis:

Your organization…feel they have bought, beaten and compromised enough delegate support to make the result a foregone conclusion. With open contempt for the dignity, integrity and common sense of the convention, your managers say in effect that the delegates are little more than a flock of chickens whose necks will be wrung at will…
You have too often casually prescribed nuclear war as a solution to a troubled world.
You have too often allowed the radical extremists to use you.
You have too often stood for irresponsibility in the serious question of racial holocaust.
You have too often read Taft and Eisenhower and Lincoln out of the Republican Party.
In short, Goldwaterism has come to stand for a whole crazy-quilt collection of absurd and dangerous positions that would be soundly repudiated by the American people in November.

Got that? The winner of the GOP nomination was “absurd,” his positions “dangerous.”

When the 1964 convention was over, instead of uniting behind Goldwater as Goldwater had done with Nixon — and asked his supporters to do the same — the Establishment/Rockefeller wing of the GOP took a walk. They sat on their hands — or went out of their way to sabotage Goldwater.

Decades later, moderates were still at it. In 2010 Delaware, GOP moderate Congressman Mike Castle was filled with soothing calls for party unity — until he lost the GOP Senate nomination to the conservative Christine O’Donnell. And promptly sat on his hands along with the Delaware and Washington GOP Establishments. Which spent their time shorting her on funds and attacking her.

Now the same stunt has been pulled in Virginia with the GOP gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli. The moderates, led by moderate Lieutenant Governor Bolling and Eric Cantor’s ex-chief of staff, lost in a convention to the conservative Cuccinelli. So Bolling spends his time, like Nelson Rockefeller and liberal Republicans all the way back in 1964, and does the minimal. With Cantor’s friend Marcus simply going over to the other side, period.

What, pray tell, was going on with Reince Priebus and the Republican National Committee? With the Chamber of Commerce? Here’s this from Politico:

McAuliffe outraised Cuccinelli by almost $15 million, and he used the cash advantage to pummel him on the airwaves. A lack of resources forced the Republican to go dark in the D.C. media market during the final two weeks.
The Republican National Committee spent about $3 million on Virginia this year, compared to $9 million in the 2009 governor’s race.
The Chamber of Commerce spent $1 million boosting McDonnell in 2009 and none this time.
“If the Republicans would have rallied around the nominee instead of refusing to support Cuccinelli, he would have won,” said a GOP source involved in the race.

Then there is Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and the Republican Governors Association deciding to take their money and, instead of giving directly to Cuccinelli, going off on their own to do commercials talking about… China. That’s right…not Obamacare, but China.

Here’s Matt Lewis on this over at the Daily Caller:

“Bobby Jindal’s presidential campaign is over,” said the Cuccinelli advisor. “He screwed this up so bad. And I don’t know why. The campaign knew it was moving numbers over ObamaCare. And the RGA was not very far from that information, they could have obtained it themselves,” the advisor continued. “They should have given the money to the campaign to spend as opposed to running these stupid China ads. They just blew it.”

About the only thing one can say for Jindal is that this was political incompetence as opposed to political sabotage.

And who will forget Chris Christie? Last year, as the key moment of the presidential campaign arrived along with Hurricane Sandy, Christie went out of his way to put his arm around Romney opponent President Obama. This year….cruising to a 60% percent victory and asked to spare a few hours for Cuccinelli, Christie refused. Once again, it was all about Christie..

And this is the guy who is supposed to be the new leader of the party?

The fact here is that sabotaging conservatives is built into the DNA of the GOP Establishment. Unable to win themselves a considerable bit of the time — and then continuing to move the country left when they do win, just not as fast and so much better managed don’t you know — they have never ever changed.

Governor Christie is being touted as some sort of inevitable nominee in 2016. The next Tom Dewey, the next Gerald Ford, the next Bob Dole and John McCain and Mitt Romney.

And if by chance he flames out? With the conservative base in open rebellion in the 2016 primaries, awarding the nomination to, say, Texas Senator Ted Cruz? You can bet that America will be treated to yet another knee-jerk, reflexive response from the quarters of the GOP Establishment.

Sabotage.

The GOP Establishment will find a way — quietly or not so quietly — to sabotage the conservative nominee if there is a conservative nominee in 2016. This is what they do. They did it to Barry Goldwater in 1964, they tried to do it to Ronald Reagan in 1980 with liberal GOP Congressman John Anderson. Anderson who lost in the primaries to Reagan, running as a third party candidate in a deliberate attempt to sabotage Reagan. Anderson failed — but it wasn’t for a lack of trying.

The Republican Party has two serious problems on its hands.

The first is with those like Eric Cantor’s ex-chief of staff who are invited into leadership positions in the party — when they in fact are not conservatives at all and quietly or openly seek to sabotage the party.

The second is with those Establishment Republicans who do manage to win — and then see their job as merely managing the leftist status quo.

This time around the target was Ken Cuccinelli.

But Ken Cuccinelli wasn’t the first — and he isn’t going to be the last.

That is the Republican Party’s real problem. And it’s a big one.

Is this thing on?

I am sitting here trying to understand why the 41% plus of Americans that publicly identify themselves as Conservative are still supporting a political system that has……..short of shooting us down in the streets…….completely attacked and or violated every single moral, ethical, legal, religious or political value we treasure.

If the last 12 months have not demonstrated that we are living the nightmare of a 2 party political reign of terror, created by a ruling class, that has usurped power with the help and full support of elitists from academia, crony capitalists, crony finance and banking, media, and the useless idiots they have created by their monopoly of these segments of society, then what is it going to take?

“The history of the president, Barack Hussein Obama is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over the United States. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation in the legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

If you have ever read the entire Declaration of Independence than you recognize that we have far surpassed the violations of our rights that moved our forefathers to action and subsequently create the GREATEST EXPRESSION OF SELF-DETERMINATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!

I have changed only 10 words to modernize this document, every other word is as it was published 237 years ago this July 4th.

I have intentionally changed and moved sections to hopefully get your attention and more importantly get you mad as hell………….because you should be.

“When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Replace King of Britain with Barack Hussein Obama as I did above.

I AM NOT CALLING FOR OVERTHROWING OUR GOVERNMENT……… JUST THOSE OCCUPYING IT!

We must work within the current system to take back what is ours by Divine Right of being Americans.

We can accomplish this by NOT PLAYING THEIR GAME ANYMORE AND REVOLT AGAINST THEIR 2 PARTY POLITICAL SYSTEM.

Well what could be more insane than the last 12 months of political betrayal by all members of our 3 branches of government? Do I need to list them for you, they far out way and infringe on our defined rights and liberties and defy our rule of law than anything George was guilty of 237 years ago.

And to the many naysayers that are sure to respond with “we need to change the GOP from within” or “elect more conservative republicans” or “we need to elect tea party republicans”!

A little recent history lesson for you, several are all of the above by GOP standards.

Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Sen. Jeff Chiesa of New Jersey, Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada, Sen. John Hoeven of North Dakota, Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

These are the authors and supporters of the latest affront to our rule of law by signing legislation that will further legitimize people WHO BROKE THE LAW IN COMING TO AMERICA AND INSTEAD OF PUNISHING THEM FOR BREAKING OUR LAWS, THEY ARE REWARDING THEM WITH CITINZENSHIP!

With this celebration of our Independence I am challenging every God loving, Freedom loving, Conservative American to join the Conservative Party of America and end the 2 party political reign of terror before it is too late.

COMMON CORE = COMMUNIST CRAP

The latest push to shove the federal Common Core Curriculum down states throats via the threat of ending federal funding to those states that do not implement it has hit Florida. The state legislature is currently in committee writing legislation to implement it and make it state law. I am not going to argue the merits of the Common Core as a viable education model because the jury is still deliberating its content and methodology. What I am going to discuss and emphasize is the effectiveness of the federal body that will gain permanent control over every level of education in America and its success rate since first taking this role in 1980.

The Dept. of Education:

Since its inception and implementation by Jimmy Carter on 05/04/1980 has been very effective at redefining and changing the overall quality and efficiency of the way our children are educated. Before the Dept. of Ed. the national high school graduation rates were around 80% (peaking at 81% in the 1970’s). More importantly the effective reading and math comprehension levels were at a 10th grade level and to get into a college or state university a minimum SAT score was 1300. (an Ivy League education required 1550) The aggregate IQ as determined by MENSA for the average high school graduate was approximately 98, the general populace 88.

Here is a very independent white paper from 2 German scientists that show a very different trend in our education:

“THE AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION RATE: TRENDS AND LEVELS,” J. HECKMAN AND P. LAFONTAINE (2010)

“For a number of reasons – poor survey design, uncounted incarcerated males, inclusion of GEDs, inclusion of immigrants, etc. – surveys commonly used by economists like the CPS provide poor measures of the US high school graduation rate. Heckman and LaFontaine attempt to fix these mistakes by comparing the CPS, decennial Census records, and annual high school surveys to create an accurate measurement of the US high school graduate rate. The current rate is around 77%, lower than the peak of 81% around 1970. Graduating rates among males are lower, and among blacks are far lower. Indeed, low education rates continue into college, with only about 25% of the current cohort graduating from college, and less than half ever attending college of any kind. This divergence in educational outcomes is likely a large driver of stagnant wages since the early 1970s, since wages among college graduates and postgrads have continued to increase. The US has fallen behind many other developed countries in the past four decades in both HS and college graduation rates. The resultant comprehension levels are now at an all time low with 60% high school graduates reading at 8th. grade levels and math even lower. Most cannot perform simple algebra and without electronic assistance cannot perform simple math. The average IQ for grads’ is 90 and the populace average is 80. The standards for MENSA membership have always been the top 2 percentile of tested IQ’s, in 1970 it took an IQ of 150 to be considered in that percentile today it only requires an IQ of 135.

I can continue to identify and more importantly quantify the erosion of education since the federal govt. started direct oversight, but any American who has children or raised children or interacted with children in the last 40+ years can recognize the failings of the Dept. of Ed. and its devastation on our culture.

What is more frightening is why are our state govt.’s so willing to acquiesce our 9th. and 10th. Amendment rights so quickly? Why do we elect school boards and appoint administrators to over see the education of our children to see them systematically neutered by the Dept. of Ed.? Federal $$$$$!

To get the money you must get with the program whatever the current program is no matter how bad or how egregious. It is pay to play and if you don’t play then you don’t get paid. In the first stages of the implementation of Common Core in place like Texas there have been multiple instance of push back by both teachers and more importantly parents when they have learned what their little Johnnie or Suzy are being taught.(or more importantly NOT TAUGHT) The removal of things like Algebra and Early American History in favor of Islamic studies and Homosexual awareness.

Saying Common Core Not Federal a Joke, but Joke’s on Us!

“Last week I posted video from an American Enterprise Institute conference featuring supporters of national curriculum standards—the Common Core—dismissing concerns that implementing the standards might cost lots of taxpayer arms and legs, and laughingly brushing aside concerns that the Common Core might lead to federal control of school curricula. The latter emanated largely from Chester “Checker” Finn, president of the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, whose organization is a leading national standards supporter.

Yesterday news came out that made clear just how serious—and unfunny—concerns about a federal takeover are. According to Education Week, the U.S. Department of Education will start a “technical review process” for the Department-selected consortia creating the national tests to go with the standards. And what will that review look at? Not compliance with accounting standards or something administrative, but test “item design and validation.” That means, most likely (in-depth information from the Department was off-line as of this writing) reviewing the specific questions that will go on the tests. And what is tested, of course, ultimately dictates what is taught, at least if the test results are to have any concrete impact, ranging from whether students advance to the next grade, to whether schools gain or lose funding. Since the ultimate point of uniform standards is to have essentially uniform accountability from state to state, they will have to have some concrete impact, rendering this a clear next step in a major Federal incursion into curricula.

Now, maybe Finn wasn’t aware of any of this last week when he blew me off with knee-slapping zingers about the U.N. taking over the Common Core, but I doubt it: according to Education Week, one of Fordham’s employees, Kathleen Porter-Magee, will be on the federal review team, as will frequent Fordham collaborator William Schmidt of Michigan State University. So either Finn is an extremely hands-off manager, or as he summoned his inner Don Rickles last week he knew very well that federal tentacles were inching even deeper into America’s schools.

The 9th. Amendment to the Constitution states: “ The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”

The 10th. Amendment states the following: “The powers NOT delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are RESERVED to the states respectively, or TO THE PEOPLE”

It is not difficult to see that once again our Rights as defined are being transgressed by the political class and govt. bureaucrats that are currently dominated by the progressive socialist ruling class elites who do not believe in the Constitution or your right's as defined by them.

Enumerated Powers: What defines our Republic!

Here repeat after me “EEEENOOOMERATED POWERS”

What separates our Republic and all Republic’s that have come before it is this very singularly important distinction. Enumerated Powers

Here is an excellent interpretation by Kevin Price from his article titled: “What are "enumerated powers" and why do they matter?”

"Enumerated powers" have an academic sound to them. It sounds like something you would read about in a history book. Simply put, enumerated powers are those powers specifically delegated to the Congress by the US Constitution. By the way, they are still there.

Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution lists the seventeen powers specifically enumerated to the Constitution. All of these things are important and the government's function in these areas was supposed to be strong, in order to protect the liberties of every American. Some of the things delegated to Congress include standard weights and measures, coining money, post offices and post roads, the protection of intellectual property, and a national defense. Beyond these and a few other very specific items, there was not much for which the federal government was responsible.

So how did new medicines get regulated? How would certain industries be licensed? What about the many other things done today by the federal government, who would do them? Those powers not enumerated to Congress were left to others, as seen in the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." That word, reserved, speaks of exclusivity. This was not a preferential view of public policy ("it would be better if the states and people took care of these things"), but a mandate (if it is not listed in the US Constitution, it is for the states and the people). The vast majority of regulations that exist in states came into place from states watching the works of one another. With the many states, our country had a vibrant laboratory with new ideas being brought to the surface and each state emulated those laws that worked best.

The ideas behind this system are both simple and profound. The state governments had virtually unlimited powers, but limited amounts of money. It could not "print money" to fund its programs, because only the federal government had the power to do such. On the other hand, the federal government only had 17 enumerated powers and it had no reason to use inflation as a vehicle to fund its programs. This contributed to the value of the US dollar remaining steady from the era of the founding until the early part of the 20th century (during the New Deal we began to devalue our currency to pay for "extra Constitutional" or unconstitutional government programs).

The Founders of this republic believed in the dispersion of power. They did such in order to maximize individual freedom and to protect the power of the states. This unique system helped to limit the amount of money taxpayers spent on programs they disagreed with because on the federal level, all the enumerated powers were beneficial to all. Meanwhile, people had the power and freedom to move from state to state in order to find a government that best suited their needs. That power to "vote with their feet" kept most state government very small.”

And from the Tenth Amendment Center:

Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution is widely cited as being an exhaustive list of Congressional power. But, in reality, there are a total of thirty (up to 35, depending on how they’re counted) Congressional powers that are listed throughout the document. Find them here:

To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;
To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;
To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;
To establish Post Offices and post Roads;
To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of choosing Senators.
There is a difference of opinion in the political arena on whether current interpretation of enumerated powers as exercised by Congress is constitutionally sound.
One school of thought is called strict constructionists. They often reference a statement on the enumerated powers set forth by Chief Justice Marshall in the case McCulloch v. Maryland:^[3]
"This government is acknowledged by all, to be one of enumerated powers. The principle, that it can exercise only the powers granted to it, would seem too apparent, to have required to be enforced by all those arguments, which its enlightened friends, while it was depending before the people, found it necessary to urge; that principle is now universally admitted.
Another school of thought is referred to as loose construction. They often reference additional comments by Justice Marshall from the same case:
"We admit, as all must admit, that the powers of the Government are limited, and that its limits are not to be transcended. But we think the sound construction of the Constitution must allow to the national legislature that discretion with respect to the means by which the powers it confers are to be carried into execution which will enable that body to perform the high duties assigned to it in the manner most beneficial to the people. Let the end be legitimate, let it be within the scope of the Constitution, and all means which are appropriate, which are plainly adapted to that end, which are not prohibited, but consistent with the letter and spirit of the Constitution, are constitutional," wrote Marshall.
Why is a more strict adherence to the intent and measure of Enumerated Powers as defined by the “Federalist Papers” so important? It is what the Greek and Roman Republics did not have to protect them from the tyranny that befell both their Republican forms of government and ended them. Without “Defined Limits” to control one branch of government such as the “Executive” branch, they were destroyed by appointed “Caesar's” that succumbed to the axiom “Absolute power corrupts: absolutely”. They are now just pages in history books.
Our current Executive branch of government unfortunately now defines the above axiom. If left unabated and continuing on its current trajectory we will no longer exist as founded before the end of this decade and if you think that that time frame is impossible to achieve here is a 20th. Century reminder of man’s folly believing that Govt. has all the answers:
Weimar Republic:
The Weimar Republic (German: Weimarer Republik [ˈvaɪmaʁɐ ʁepuˈbliːk] ( listen)) is the name given by historians to the federal republic and parliamentary representative democracy established in 1919 in Germany to replace the imperial form of government. It was named after Weimar, the city where the constitutional assembly took place.
Following World War I, the republic emerged from the German Revolution in November 1918. In 1919, a national assembly was convened in Weimar, where a new constitution for the German Reich was written, then adopted on 11 August of that same year. The ensuing period of liberal democracy lapsed by 1930, when Hindenburg assumed dictatorial emergency powers, leading to the ascent of the nascent Nazi Party and Adolf Hitler in 1933. The legal measures taken by the new Nazi government in February and March 1933, commonly known as the machtergreifung (seizure of power) meant that the government could legislate contrary to the constitution. The republic nominally continued to exist until 1945, as the constitution was never formally repealed, but the measures taken by the Nazis in the early part of their rule rendered the constitution irrelevant. Thus, 1933 is usually seen as the end of the Weimar Republic and the beginning of Hitler's Third Reich.
In its fourteen years, the Weimar Republic faced numerous problems, including hyperinflation, political extremists (with paramilitaries – both left and right wing), and continuing contentious relationships with the victors of World War I.
Regular readers know that I reference this period in history often because it is historically significant that all of the monetary policies as well as the govt. regulatory climate then is identical to now. “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it”
There is legislation in the House of Representative's that could slow and stop the current momentum of Un-Constitutional legislation if we can elect Citizen Statesman and not the “Political Ruling Class” that now occupies the District of Corruption.
H.R. 450 (111th): Enumerated Powers Act:

Representative John Shadegg (R-AZ) has re-introduced The Enumerated Powers Act (EPA) - HR 450. (You can read the entire bill on our Background Page.) EPA would require Congress to reference the specific clause(s) of the U.S. Constitution that grant them the power to enact laws and take other congressional actions.
"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce." —James Madison, Federalist No. 45
So what difference will it make if we require them to cite "chapter and verse" the section of the Constitution that gives them authority to pass a law, create or maintain a program, or impose a tax?
- Well, it might slow them down.
- It might mean that they reconsider a proposal instead of introducing it.
But we freely admit, this new law won't stop them.
We believe the real power of this requirement is that it would, over time, build the evidence necessary to make some real reforms. After all, how many different, un-constitutional actions per day can they blame on the Commerce Clause before a judge rules or a reforming group stands up and says, "This is a hole large enough to drive a fleet of trucks through; let's tighten it up!"
EPA might even, eventually, embarrass Congress. As Walter Williams has pointed out, "Congressmen, openly refusing to live up to their oath of office, exhibit their deep contempt for our Constitution." EPA would expose these politicians because their actions would speak louder than their phony rhetoric.
There's an old Texas legend that says, a young politician by the name of Lyndon Johnson (yes, that Lyndon Johnson), was looking for an edge in his campaign. Johnson suggested to his campaign manager that they start a rumor that his opponent enjoyed sexual congress with pigs.
His campaign manager reacted in shock: "Lyndon you know that's not true."
"Sure," Lyndon is alleged to have replied, "I just want to watch him deny it."
Well, Congress does lots of unconstitutional things. And that's no rumor. Walter Williams is almost certainly right; most members of Congress seem to have "deep contempt for our Constitution."
Now, we just want to see them compelled to deny that charge.
Contact your representative and demand they sign on and support passing this legislation and if they don’t then you know who the traitor’s are.

The 2nd. Amendment: Upon This Rock I Will Build A Republic

The 2nd. Amendment is the cornerstone upon which all of our other freedoms and liberties are protected and reinforced. Without it, the rest are just hollow words with no way of enforcing them except trough legal action which is and will always be violated by those that do not prescribe to the law.

There are only 2 methods to get anyone to take action, reason and force and if you cannot force me to act then you must reason me with your argument. The progressive socialists have been manipulating a segment of the population in this Nation for well over 100 years through their arguments that create an emotional response that forces a controlled reaction that obscures intellectual action. They use the heated moment of emotional response to get their myopic misanthropes to jump and then propagate the discord with a continual barrage of Pavlovian response words that they have ingrained into the modern populace through the media and educational systems they control.

They also understand that they have a very narrow window to motivate this group because after about 3 weeks even the average double digit modern American who redefines the term low information citizen, starts to lose the emotional motivation and moves back towards complacency, more concerned with their daily doldrums and escaping their pitiful existence than staying engaged in their masters rage.

So once you remove the rhetoric that is always flamed by emotion, the progressive socialists hatred of the 2nd. Amendment becomes what is in the first paragraph, the teeth that bite back when you infringe on all of the Bill of Rights.

How can you have freedom of speech, religion or gathering or to redress grievances with government if they do not respect those rights as is evidenced by the attacks of the progressive socialists against all of those freedoms for far too many decades? (yes I know I left out freedom of the press they no longer deserve that freedom because they are complicit in their guilt to deny us ours) How can you keep your property rights and to be free from illegal search and seizure if there is no fear of a force reprisal? How can there be enumerated powers liming the power of government both state and federal and placing that power with their bosses WE THE PEOPLE if they do not fear the reciprocity of that decision or action?

The left wants us unarmed because Conservative America does not respond to their dogma, does not accept their agenda for America, does not jump to their emotional argument. Conservative’s function through fact based logic and reasoning based on that. We read, we watch, we learn, we observe, we gather information from multiple sources and then create our own conclusions based on empirical methodology that leads us to a definitive fact based summation. We do not accept the emotional argument without facts, we do not accept because talking heads say so, we do not blindly agree because media personalities decry, we do not aimlessly accept because entertainers tell us to.

We are very much of the Midwest mindset so eloquently associated with the residents of Missouri SHOW ME!

So if the progressive socialist ruling class in the District of Corruption can’t reason with us which they know they cannot because our core DNA is kryptonite to their rhetoric; then they must force us. And they fear the truth of that action will present the one picture that will perfectly and permanently identify who and what they are and what they really are trying to accomplish with their agenda. The total subjugation of the United States and the end of all ENUMERATED POWERS in the Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

Now I know that 90% of those that will read this understand the implications and I am proud to say that more than 100 million Americans are now armed. But remember our freedoms and liberties that have already been lost have been removed more by slow erosion than outright ban. The DC socialist progressives know that the last time this was done the Dems paid dearly and lost the house and senate in 1994 midterm elections forcing Clinton to have to paly nice with others and find other activities to occupy his time in office.

We have to constantly remind all elected officials at all level’s of government that not only do elections have consequences but so does defense of our rights and their fidelity to defending those rights as defined by our Founding documents.

I do not hold much faith in the 2 party political system that we now suffer at the hands of as many of you know. Their track record is undeniable and it is anything but pro-liberty or pro-freedom and I will continue to espouse my mantra that IT IS TIME TO END THE TWO PARTY POLITICAL REIGN OF TERROR IN AMERICA!

Again back to the original idea of this writing is the only way you can force action is by reason or force and for 158 years we have reasoned with the 2 party ruling class elites that we have elected; WELL AMERICA HOW’S THAT WORKING FOR YOU?

The Right to Bear Arms

The Supreme Court of the United States has upheld the meaning and intent of the Second Amendment. Much has been made of the Heller decision, but in the context of the history of the Second Amendment and the milieu in which it was written, it is easy to appreciate the strict constitutional interpretation whence came the 5-to-4 decision.

The right of law-abiding American citizens to bear arms was clearly outlined by Justice Scalia’s majority opinion, but this will not go unchallenged by those who side with the minority. Attempts at using the argument “for the good of public health” as a justifiable reason to limit or annul the Second Amendment must be tempered with a realistic understanding of the pathology of the public-health problem. This desire to “regulate” one amendment can only lead to the de-facto regulation of the other amendments.

Welfare: America’s Extortion Payments Payoff BIG for Democrats! AGAIN!

The Lyndon Johnson Great Society legislation and the massive Government bureaucracy it has created going forward, has finally born the fruit it was planted to sow 47 years ago. The extortion by the permanent welfare state is now in full blossom and the takers now outnumber the makers, the producers are now the “minority” in this country.

There are underlying conditions that extortion creates that destroy the payer as well as the payee. The payer obviously suffers the financial loss of money’s that were earned by producing in an open market economy. They also suffer the loss of dignity because they see that their production is only valued as long as it supports those who produce nothing. Their self esteem and self worth are diminished as they watch the fruit of their labor being treated with disdain and indignation, as if it is a penance for working hard and sacrificing.

The underlying factors that they put forth to create success bear no justification of that success, “ You didn't build that business” is the overwhelming mentality of the unproductive moocher class that has become the supplicant to all government hand outs. In their minds you are only successful because of reasons that are unjust in theirs. You stole it, you inherited it, you were the beneficiary of a state funded government program that allowed your success to happen. There is NO success if that govt. road didn’t exist or you weren't educated in a govt. school, or the over bearing over reaching govt. regulations provided a level playing field which allowed you to be successful.

This is now being demonstrated by how many producers are scaling back or even shutting their business’ down and looking for alternative opportunities to produce wealth and JOBS in other parts of the world or altogether getting out and staying out until this hits critical mass in the next few months to few years. There is no avoiding it, it is the desired outcome from the application of the democrats economic implosion principles as outlined by Marx in “Das Kapital” and other’s like Cloward / Pivens..

The flip side of course is even more distressing and is an even greater insight into the mentality that now permeates half of the population of this country. The govt. welfare state and the 50% of American households that now receive some form of govt. support. The most upsetting part of this societal shift and the greatest loss it has created is that it has successfully integrated a shift in the recipients perspective that it is a badge of honor now to say you are taking from someone else because you believe you deserve it because the govt. told you, you deserve it. And the saddest part of what is in this video is this person and millions like her derive their self worth by stealing from others to support their life style. They have no core value system other than one of you owe me, created from their lifetime of participation in govt. entitlement programs and the dependency mentality it creates. THEY ARE SLAVES AND DON”T EVEN SEE IT, OR AS LONG AS NOTHING IS REQUIRED OF THEM OTHER THAN THEIR VOTE EVERY 2 TO 4 YEARS THEY ARE WILLING TO SELL THEIR FREEDOM FOR A FREE RIDE.

This is a pathetic statement on what has been destroyed by progressive liberal policies and Democrat politics and what it has reduced the last few generations of Americans to, whining leaches with no understanding of the values of self worth, self determination and the self esteem created by ones productive efforts that are both emotionally and financially rewarded in a free market economy.

There was a long standing business management philosophy that people work as much for the self esteem of a job well done as the paycheck they received. I am sure that it is now an antiquated philosophy based on generational shifts from I will to who will for me. I am appalled every day when I see the constant bombardment of lies and false narratives that the leftist’s in this country in politics, academia, media, and journalism dump onto America like a tsunami and it is actually believed by a majority of the population. It is a sad state of affairs when the American population is lied to with regularity and they are either too stupid or too disengaged too say enough: and stand up and fight back. It just is another re-enforcement to the success of the indoctrination policies that the liberal progressives have perfected for 100+ years.

And that is what has happened because of the extortion of welfare and the economic bondage it created has led to the loss of freedom, self esteem and the value of self worth. They are now on life support.

And as more generations of older Americans pass away and the values that we were taught by our parents and NOT THE NANNY STATE CRADLE TO GRAVE GOVT. that now exists in America disappear, so does Freedom and Justice For All.

The Disconnect of the Progressive Liberal Socialist: aka. The Modern Democrat.

I have recently been engaged in running dialogue with several “useful idiots” over Mitt Romney’s recent speech at the Al Smith Dinner. And the disconnect displayed by several respondents to 1 simple statement I made that: “THIS is how an AMERICAN PRESIDENT ACTS!” has been if anything; enlightening to the mindset of these individuals. The first comment I received was the following:

And the descent into discourse continued at an accelerated rate from all sides with my help. The fact that my comment was based on the closing statement that Mr. Romney made was inconsequential to the discussion and completely missed by the zealous left. And my response was less than cordial from that moment on.

I have for many months now into several years studied the “progressive/socialist” movement in this Country and written about it on numerous occasions. I have included in those dissertations, THOUSANDS of fact- checked reference's verifying the information contained within. And throughout it all one glaring fact based truth is undeniably evident: NO GOOD HAS EVER COME FROM IT!

It is from a position of indifferent arrogance that the progressive socialist movement has not only stayed alive but prospered within academia and government in this Nation. The “intellectual elite” are entrenched in the belief that they, because of their devotion to so-called intellectual self-enlightenment are entitled to the greatest share of wealth and control over the rest of the populace. They along with progressive/liberal politicians have created the largest socialism indoctrination system outside the former Soviet Union and modern China. We now have multiple generations of Americans who have no perception of anything in the way of information that is not spoon fed to them by the media. It is structured propaganda that the progressive movement created and I will prove it:

And as with the former Soviet Union and in China today as well as Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and others, controlling the media narrative is imperative to controlling the population at large. If not for the 1st. Amendment where would this Republic be right now? Yet we have entire groups of “useful idiots” that side with a complete lie fabricated to hide the failing policies of this administration. We have an entire media that except for the unwilling act of occasional journalism, has become the incestuous bedmate of progressive socialism, failing to see that throughout history the socialist govt. once empowered KILLED every teacher, journalist and elected official that they perceived a threat. The most recent example was the reign of terror by Pol Pot.

This has been in the making in America for 100 years now, starting with the Woodrow Wilson Administration and the first foray of the academic elite entering politics. His progressive policies were responsible for the largest growth of the government since the Civil War and reconstruction periods and created everything from the Federal Reserve to Income Tax. Under his administration with the help of a Democratically controlled House the federal govt. grew by 250% and also helped create legislation opening the door for union activism to proliferate without oversight.

The push back on progressivism by the massive over intrusion by Wilson’s Administration led to many years where the title of progressive was deemed an insult, mostly because of his views of the Founding Fathers and his desire to end the govt. that the Constitution of the United States formed, in favor of a more Parliamentarian style of govt..

The one thing that these progressive socialist’s realized was to affect change they had to change the perception of an entire Nation, and the best way, was to start early and work slowly through indoctrination methods. During Wilson’s administration he set in motion legislation that would fund schools, that started the erosion of state and local responsibility for education, which allowed for the federal govt. and not local school boards to set standards dictating curriculum.

And every 20 years or so from this administration forward we have had revisits to progressive socialism:

Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Roosevelt expansion of the federal govt. by any means necessary includes passing a record 3728 executive orders or almost 1 a day for 12 years! It was called the “New Deal” for a reason

Lyndon B. Johnson: a life long politician and political insider whose “Great Society” legislation has led to 47 years of constant federal govt. expansion at the cost of states rights. Historians argue that Johnson's presidency marked the peak of modern liberalism in the United States after the New Deal era.

Jimmy Carter: During Carter's term as President, two new cabinet-level departments were created: the Department of Energy and the Department of Education.

William Jefferson Clinton: During his presidency, Clinton advocated for a wide variety of legislation and programs, much of which was enacted into law or was implemented by the executive branch. Some of his policies, such as the North American Free Trade Agreement and welfare reform, have been attributed to a centrist Third Way philosophy of governance, while on other issues his stance was left-of-center

Barack Hussein Obama: He is the first POTUS since Wilson to come from Academia with no other real background outside of instutionalized education, except for a brief stint in the Illinois state govt. and then 2 years as a Senator.

All of these individuals were all deemed by the media of their day as “intellectual elites”, including Clinton being a “Rhodes” scholar. All have presided over the greatest loss of individual freedoms in the name of the “common good” than all of the previous administrations COMBINED!

All have been the darlings of their bed fellows the media, which when the Constitution was written granting them the powers of the 4th estate, it was as a watchdog against the very actions that they now defend or try to obfuscate from the American people. But this relationship has only existed when it is a Democrat Administration.

I am old enough to remember quite accurately the media’s relentless pursuit of Nixon on Watergate and his involvement which led to his resignation. Their pursuit of Reagan in the Iran Contra Affair and the prosecution of Col. Oliver North. The relentless media attacks of every Republican administration for the last 100 years as compared to the media’s handling of Democrat administrations has been shameful. From Hoover-villes to the “New Deal” from the “great society” to Nixon's war( Vietnam which was escalated by Johnson) and on and on it has become an exercise in futility to expect anyone in America, exposed to their diatribe, to remain anything but indoctrinated to their propaganda.

All of these media elites were educated and indoctrinated into this movement in the Academic environment. They now carry forward the “progressive socialist” message and agenda driving the narrative, instead of observing and reporting on it.

Progressive socialism is a cancer, it kills everything it infects, and like cancer it slowly destroys the body whole, until only radical treatment can have a chance of saving the patient. In any life threatening situation there is always an acceptable loss of tissue to justify saving a life. We have now reached that point in America’s future health, we must now cut the disease from the body to save the body whole.

America is finally awakening from her long sleep and the media is now more despised than unions. But we must continue to remove them further from infecting our Country.If we stopped supporting any company that supports any newspaper and all of the alphabet networks we could choke them to death from lack of funding. End their revenue resources and we end them. I have personally boycotted all major products that advertise on any network or media outlet. I do not miss them and neither does my wallet.

We must continue to remove the federal influence of govt. from our local education. I am a firm supporter of oaths of office to be given to teachers and administrators, like my military and fiduciary oath. Until their loyalty to the children’s education supplants socialist dogma and union manipulation we are faced with an ever declining education system teaching more about non-American values and globalism than the fundamentals of the 3R’s and about this Great Nation’s history.

My readers know one of my favorite sayings is it is time to cull the herd, it is from the John Wayne movie McClintock when he describes the “poor specimen” that is the territorial governor. The ‘useful idiots” go ballistic when I use it and I love seeing their heads explode yet they are the ones advocating creation of a government that will have just that power through Obamacare. Their stupidity knows no bounds!

Self Determination!

What makes the United States of America a truly Great Nation and why the left is bent on destroying it!

We hold these Truths to be Self Evident that all men are created equal and they are endowed by their Creator with certain Unalienable Rights; that among these Rights are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to Secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men , deriving their just power from the Consent of the Governed!

That statement from the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence is by far the cornerstone of what is America and why it is Greater than any Nation before or current. It is the fundamental expression of what would become the greatest experiment in self-determination in the history of this planet. A government where no outside forces were to influence its decisions on the fundamental Rights to be Alive and Live, To be Free to be yourself and choose your own destiny as long as it did not infringe on the Rights of others and to keep the Fruits of your own Labors.

The so-called educational elite who have spent decades lying and hiding the facts of our Nation and its remarkable formation of self governing, they have tried to obfuscate these rights by saying that man has enjoyed these rights before and it has failed as a form of government.

That is a lie because this Republic and its Bill of Rights and the aforementioned Declaration of Independence for the first time in the history of mankind allowed all of us who are blessed to be Americans the Right to keep our Property. Even as a serf or nobleman in feudal times the CROWN still owned it all. You were allowed to keep part of what you reaped from your labors only if the ruler was satisfied with your work. And he ordained who got what, when, where and why on his rule alone.

No where before in the history of this planet has any nation or country chosen a form of Government where a ruler or monarch or line of descendants or royal family or pre-ordained party or tribal leader or family elder was instituted to lead. We would choose for ourselves from amongst ourselves who we would have guide the Nation. If you are familiar with the Constitution and its original intent it was never meant to give power to a ruler or a group of people who think they are more capable of determining your destiny than you are. It was meant to do just the opposite, limit their power and give US the governed the final say in our Republics management.

AND THE WORD MANAGEMENT IS CORRECT: WE OWN AMERICA NOT THE POLITICAL CLASS IN WASHINGTON DC OR U. N. HEADQUARTERS IN N.Y.C. OR ANY OTHER FOREIGN CAPITAL OR GLOBALIST GROUP!

Every single politician in this Country works for us yet they ignore us, mock us, besmirch us, deride us, insult us, degrade us and generally do whatever they feel like without fear of reprisal from us. And with good reason because many of them having acted this way for many years still get re-elected, just reinforcing their disgraceful behavior.

If you walked into any business in the world and found employees and managers acting this way you would never do business with them again.

And if you owned that business then you would fire every single useless miscreant that created the problem, yet we keep electing, re-electing and reinforcing their behavior by not punishing them.

The population of this Country used to have a standing method of dealing with politicians who acted this way, they would physically remove them from their office and depending on the severity of their malfeasance either tar and feather or throw them in jail. (or under it)(my favorite was the stocks, they would throw their spoiled food at them while they sat in public view to be derided by their fellow citizens)

We have reached a time where the progressive socialist ruling class that has usurped power from us, has pushed our way of life and our very existence as a Republic. That we can still choose who to represent us, to the the very brink of extinction. We are now hanging by the proverbial thread of what once was a Nation that every freedom loving individual who could get here wanted to be here. A Nation that other Communist, Socialist, Marxist, Fascist, Statist countries had to and still do block their citizens from fleeing to. A Nation that before the ruling class destroyed with their progressive socialist agenda, has to limit the influx of new immigrants. Because even with all of our new problems they still see an opportunity that the left has not yet completely destroyed despite their best efforts and that is you can still keep the fruits of your own labor and own property.

It is past time that we exercise to the fullest the power of self-determination now, the progressive socialist ruling class in this country will do everything within and outside of their authority to continue the path we are on which is to destroy the political system in this Republic. And if you can’t figure out what they intend to replace it with I suggest you stop watching the regurgitated pabulum and propaganda talking points, shut off the reality TV and turn on the reality of what is happening all around you comrade or get used to that greeting!

Fixing what's broke in our government!

What no Democrat or Republican will admit needs to be done or how to do it!

In listening to the latest back and forth from both sides with the Democrats lying and the GOP responding, it is obvious that neither side of this equation is willing or equipped to put forth the plan that we need to stop the progressive socialist utopian destruction of America. I have shown that since the "Great Society" legislation of 1965 the government has grown 464.4% from 411 federal agencies and offices to 1909 federal agencies and offices while the population from the 1960 census to 2010 census shows a population growth from 179,323,175 to 308,745,538. or 45.36%.

That is a growth differential of 409% yes our government has grown more than 4 1/2 times larger than it was in 1965 to perform the new duties it took away from the states. The federal government over the last 47 years under the umbrella of that legislation and the massive federal government build up has added more than 100,000 new laws and federal regulations to enforce it and its subsequent socialist utopian programs with only one intended net effect, keep the ruling classes ruling while subjugating our rights and freedoms. And to implement and manage them they created a vast departmental bureaucracy to control it and us that has been choking the life from this Republic. This massive federal bureaucracy must either be reduced or completely phased out or we will never recover completely and we will be forced to watch as we become the very thing they want us to be, subjects of a socialist Marxist state. ("we already are")

The 1500 agencies and offices that have been created since then have been adding trillions to the cost of government and are now so fiscally insolvent that we currently borrow 40 cents on every dollar just to pay their bills.

In 1965 the federal debt was $317,273,898,983.64. that's billion with a B.

Today it is 15,728,863,898,758.00 that's trillion with a T.

Yes that is correct while our population has grown by 45% our debt per person has grown by 500%! Our debt thanks to the unchecked and unregulated growth of our federal government is 25 times more per man, woman and child even with the offset of the population growth. That is a staggering number almost 16 trillion dollars in less than 50 years with the democrats running the show for 40 of them. The debt burden in 1965 for every man, woman and child was less than $2000, it is now $50,108.00 or 25 times more than it was before their legislation started us down the path to the progressive socialist utopian nightmare we are now living in.

There are other factors as well like the fact that it now costs business' more in regulatory expenses than their tax burden. In 2010 the tax burden to business' in both state and local taxes was 1.4 trillion dollars, the cost of compliance of federal regulations was 1.75 trillion. Yes we as Americans now absorb the expense of 3 TRILLION DOLLARS of pass thru costs from business' in America with 80% being federal tax and regulatory based.

The Federal Register is the document that compiles all the federal rules and regulations that businesses are required to comply with. As of 2010 the Federal Register was 81,405 pages long. Federal regulations serve as a hidden tax on the economy. Costs imposed by regulation do not end up on any Federal budget, nor do they add to the national deficit. However, 81,405 pages of regulations strain the economy by creating huge costs that business are obligated to meet.

To fix the problem we must start down sizing and eliminating multiple agencies and departments to match our population growth and actual regulatory needs not the political infrastructure created by the Democrats to enforce their socialist agenda onto America.

I would start by eliminating the departments of Education, Energy,Environmental Protection, Transportation, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, Labor, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development and the General Services Administration and pass their operations and funding back to the states with the states keeping the tax funding they now send to Washington to be wasted and abused. I have identified these 10 agencies because they have all demonstrated extreme fiscal malfeasance and since their inception have all had a negative effect on every single area where they have imposed themselves. Since the Dept. of Ed. H.S. graduation rates and over all science and math scores are down over 40%, since the dept. of energy the cost of energy has increased 326% while the reduction in domestic energy production of all types has decreased by 29%. I can continue this fact based performance evaluation for several thousand pages but it would only re-enforce their incompetence.

I would downsize all other agencies and offices that are not deemed necessary to carry out the Constitutional Responsibilities as defined by the Federalist papers to be necessary for the functioning of the government. I would eliminate the base line budgeting mechanisms and roll back spending to 2000 levels and then introduce a balanced budget amendment that only allows budgetary increases to match stated inflation based on preceding years inflation numbers.

All federal regulations enacted that have not been voted on by both houses and the POTUS will be suspended until reviewed for their cause and effect and any that can and should be the purview of the states shall be returned to the states for individual consideration and enforcement or annulment. All future federal regulations must pass house over sight and be deemed necessary by the states affected by them.

End Presidential Executive orders and czars, all "cabinet posts" will be vetted and approved by both houses with majority vote rules in effect.

Now no where in this have I stated that Social Security or Medicare and Medicaid have to be eliminated or changed but they should be removed from their federal bureaucratic oversight and re-instituted as stand alone departments with both state and federal oversight shared and administered. Their fiscal mismanagement and the use of the sequestered funds being diverted to the general fund must not go unpunished and must be monitored by outside auditing agencies that are directly answerable to the voter, that is why state run auditors responsible for all of the accounting is necessary. Also an immediate return of all of the funds diverted from Social Security and the guilty parties forced to make restitution, even their heirs and beneficiaries should be held responsible just like any other fiduciary would be.

As the title indicated fixing what's broke in our government will take the effort of every American who believes in the Republic and the Constitution and its return to Rule of Law from rule of man.

Until we elect citizen statesmen in lieu of career politicians who are not part of the ruling class that is destroying us as the current 2 party system is, solutions based on the facts will not be presented and our decline will continue.

“Why did I say Yes?”

The first thing I learned from my military days was NEVER VOLUNTEER FOR ANYTHING. So what possessed me to accept the office of President of the Conservative Party (Florida)? Good question.

I was approached by CP-USA’s Chairman several months ago. Harold reached out to me after reading several of my blog posts trying to change a system that refuses not only to be changed but crucifies the responsible person. We discussed CP-USA and I informed him I was not only aware of the party but had reached out in the past to learn more and what its goals were political ballot registration. We ended the discussion with the promise of staying in touch.

Several months went by and my frustration and rage grew because of the maneuverings of the political powers that were manipulating the Republican Presidential primaries. I registered for the first time in my life (I have been a registered Independent since 1984) as a Republican to specifically vote for the candidate I felt best reflected my viewpoints. Before I could, however, they were eliminated from the race; not by voter choice but by unsubstantiated allegations and political backstabbing.

The Rockefeller Republican arm reached out and choked off every Conservative candidate and left us with a guy who has never been -- or ever will be -- center right on any issue other than tableware for place settings. He is a CINO (Conservative In Name Only) while it suits his campaign, just like the Fascist we now suffer under was a liberator while he campaigned, rescuing us all from the evils of DC “politics as usual” and showing us a whole new meaning to the words Hope and Change. Right now 75% of this country is hoping to survive his change until it can be changed back.

Two years ago I read a great book by Angelo Codevilla titled “The Ruling Class: How they Corrupted America and What We Can Do About It”. Read this eye opening article:

It reminded me of why I’m volunteering to stick my neck out when I know better is: I can no longer wait for them to change, because it is beyond their capability in that environment; neither major party will allow it. We are suffering at the hands of a class system all right but it is not the Entitlement Class but the Ruling Class that exists in both major parties for 100+ years since the Wilson Era of politics. At first it was primarily fostered within an “elite” group of academicians but as their power base grew so did its political arm, the Democrat Party. Since the Republican Party was left playing the role of country club wannabes in DC, they have consistently caved on every important “Conservative” issues to go along to get along.

Republicans have shown the same destructive policy making tendencies as the Democrats; on a smaller scale but just as destructive in the end. The two-party system must end before it destroys our Republic’s political system for good, disenfranchising generations of future voters before they ever get to vote. We have allowed ourselves to become an Oligarchy where a select few delegate to an entire population with very little difference in their approach to ruling.

If I want my vote to count again and the votes of the “Conservative Majority” of which we are part then I/we must get into the game and push back against their two-party rule. We cannot wait for the change that has been promised by the same Republican Party that just gave us Mitt Romney as their presidential candidate.

I am no longer more afraid of what might happen for taking the chance than I am for not taking it. I am no longer worried that some liberal progressive socialist ruling class elite will try their tricks of defamation, condescension, denigration, lies, race-baiting or anything else they might think of to smear me into silence because it won’t work. Their agenda for this Republic is far more frightening to me than anything they can say about me and unless they are stupid enough to go after my family with threats than I am in.

And maybe that last reason is the real reason I said yes. I have said it for almost two years since her birth but it is the truth. When my granddaughter is 15 years old I do not want to answer this question from her: “Grandpa; why didn’t you stop this when you had the chance?”

Growth, Care and Feeding of the Useful Idiot

A Govt. Guide to Proper Growth and Management of the Progressive Liberal Democrat:

Published in cooperation with the U.S. Dept.s of Education, Agriculture, Energy, Environmental Protection, Justice and Health and Human Services. In coordination with the Coalition of White House Czar's and the Dept. of Propaganda aka. the White House press corps.

Chapter 1:

Preparing Your Crop for Planting:

Make sure all intended spores are completely sterile and unexposed to any environment other than an isolated controlled atmosphere with minimal cross contamination. Any early contamination when first introduced to the controlled growth conditions as applied here will result in possible mutation and even the loss of the entire crop. The subjects must be unexposed to any influencing factor when first introduced to the growing medium. Once in the proper environment with little to no outside influencing factors may planting begin.

It is most important when preparing the bedding material for planting that excessive fertilization is best. You must start early and fertilize often for the highest yield possible. A high nitrogen content fertilizer is best, we highly recommend pure bull excrement as it has been our choice for multiple decades with very positive results. After initial growth becomes visible, they must become coordinated feedings with a regimented program of specific limited nutrient content proven to create controlled growth in the desired direction. Well rounded nutrition is not important but controlled growth is. Once the root growing pattern is established and controlled, an even more aggressive growth schedule will be applied. You can never over-fertilize and the deeper the better, as this genus has been selectively bred for decades to create a high tolerance to fertilization.

Chapter: 2

Best Environment to Grow:

Low light, yes this particular genus is very intolerant to direct light and does best in low to almost no light conditions, as most fungi are. It is best grown indoors where the light can be controlled. The desired UV wavelength and color options have shown excellent growth patterns within the red wavelength color spectrum. Also the oscillation and frequency of the fluorescent lamp especially the compact fluorescent lamp have been very positive, especially when used in conjunction with red filters. It has given the highest yields to date. The light should be on a controlled timer system to limit it to only the amount necessary to create photo synthesis and reduce plant rot and no more approximately 6 hours a day should be sufficient depending on local growing conditions.

The other environmental condition needed for best results should include high levels of ambient noise, with little to no structure. The growth subject flourished when subjected to the constant background noise of broadcast television, especially: ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC,HBO PBS, HNN all except FOX news. The most effective time frame was mid-afternoon to late evening. The station programming was of little direct influence except for certain reality based programs, especially those programs that featured a high musical content. We are still analyzing this anomaly and will release more data when available.

Chapter: 3

Moisture levels:

Moisture levels should be kept consistently high as fungi do best when saturated. High soil moisture content is necessary for nutrient breakdown and absorption by the crop and the wetter the better. The highest levels of plant nutrient absorption occurred when the water was treated with certain chemical compounds including chlorine and fluoride. Chapter: 4

Growth patterns:

The fungi grows best in cluster and large groups. When control conditions are at the desired levels the growth rates were greatly accelerated within groups and clusters versus individual subjects, especially in areas where the control subjects were constantly monitored for any deficiencies that were immediately compensated for when detected. When in the last growth cycle strict observation of the clusters is necessary for possible isolation or rectification of abnormal growth from individual and small clusters. Loss of environmental control at this stage can lead to entire crop destabilization and forced destruction of partial planting to preserve overall harvest. A loss of the entire crop can take several growing cycles to complete generations before optimal growing conditions can be re-established.

Chapter: 5

Harvesting:

Harvesting is not based on the level of maturity of the existing crop but on the need for planting the next generation of spores that are in need of the growing medium and could be left to outside development if left unattended.

All must be harvested as a single crop as individual harvesting before maturity tends to lead to contamination of the remaining crop. When removing the crop from its environment take great care to reinforce the stems leaving as much of it intact as possible, cutting close to the bedding is best as many may remain within the growing mediums immediate area due to overharvesting or deficient market appeal.

To preserve the crop store, package and ship in clusters as individual specimens tend to spoil quickly if not surrounded by a supportive environment.

Devaluing Our Currency: why you are paying $4.00 for a gallon of gas and $5.00 for a lb. of hamburger!

In trying to explain what the Federal Reserve and Ben Bernanke have been doing to our money I realized that 75% of the citizens of this Republic are uninformed to what Quantitative Easing is, well lets first look at the origins of the words they use to describe their actions. Quantitative: meaning the measuring of an amount, in this case the amount is money. Easing:Â to move, shift, or be moved or be shifted with great care or in this case to move money into the market with a specific goal.

The goal of this easing or shifting of a measured amount of dollars into the currency pool is to expand economic growth or in the case of our latest "financial crisis" to purchase the toxic Mortgage Backed Securities. The reasons for the toxic assets is a discussion for a later date but in 2008 when the market imploded because of the over-estimated values of these pieces of paper the banks that held them and the investors who owned them realized they were worthless because their collective value was based on the promise of the payer paying his debt. So the Federal Reserve in conjunction with the Treasury Dept. came up with a plan to rescue the economy by purchasing all of these worthless pieces of paper but there was one very significant problem with their plan they had to print the money to buy the assets.

Quantitative Easing:

Now why is this a problem?

Quantitative Easing involves the creation of a significant amount of new base money by a central bank for the buying of assets that it usually does not buy. Usually, a central bank will conduct open market operations by buying short-term government bonds or foreign currency. However, during a financial crisis, the central bank may buy other types of financial assets as well. The central bank may buy long-term government bonds, company bonds, asset backed securities, stocks, or even extend commercial loans. The intent is to stimulate the economy by increasing liquidity and promoting bank lending, even when interest rates cannot be pushed any lower.

Quantitative easing increases reserves in the banking system (i.e. deposits of commercial banks at the central bank), giving depository institutions the ability to make new loans. Quantitative easing is usually used when lowering the discount rate is no longer effective because interest rates are already close to or at zero. In such a case, normal monetary policy cannot further lower interest rates, and the economy is in a liquidity trap.

Asset based Currency:

For many years before most of us were born our dollars had a value, they were guaranteed to be worth something because they were backed (pegged) by a "hard asset" first silver and then gold. The US adopted a silver standard based on the Spanish milled dollar in 1785. This was codified in the 1792 Mint and Coinage Act, and by the Federal Government's use of the "Bank of the United States" to hold its reserves, as well as establishing a fixed ratio of gold to the US dollar. This was, in effect, a derivative silver standard, since the bank was not required to keep silver to back all of its currency.This began a long series of attempts for America to create a bi-metallic standard for the US Dollar, which would continue until the 1920s. Gold and silver coins were legal tender, including the Spanish real, a silver coin struck in the Western Hemisphere. Because of the huge debt taken on by the US Federal Government to finance the Revolutionary War, silver coins struck by the government left circulation, and in 1806 President Jefferson suspended the minting of silver coins.The US Treasury was put on a strict hard-money standard, doing business only in gold or silver coin as part of the Independent Treasury Act of 1848, which legally separated the accounts of the Federal Government from the banking system. However the fixed rate of gold to silver overvalued silver in relation to the demand for gold to trade or borrow from England. The drain of gold in favor of silver led to the search for gold, including the California Gold Rush of 1849. Following Gresham's law, silver poured into the US, which traded with other silver nations, and gold moved out. In 1853, the US reduced the silver weight of coins, to keep them in circulation, and in 1857 removed legal tender status from foreign coinage.In 1857 the final crisis of the free banking era of international finance began, as American banks suspended payment in silver, rippling through the very young international financial system of central banks. In 1861 the US government suspended payment in gold and silver, effectively ending the attempts to form a silver standard basis for the dollar.Towards the end of the 19th century, some of the remaining silver standard countries began to peg their silver coin units to the gold standards of the United Kingdom or the USA. For 86 years after this we used silver certificates as the backing asset for our legal tender.Â Silver Certificates are a type of representative money printed from 1878 to 1964 in the United States as part of its circulation of paper currency. They were produced in response to silver agitation by citizens who were angered by the Fourth Coinage Act, which had effectively placed the United States on a gold standard. The certificates were initially redeemable in the same face value of silver dollar coins, and later in raw silver bullion. Since 1968 they have been redeemable only in Federal Reserve Notes and are thus obsolete, but are still valid legal tender.

The whole time during this period and up until August 15, 1971 we used the "gold standard" to set the value of the dollar to other world currencies.

The gold standard is a monetary system in which the standard economic unit of account is a fixed weight of gold. There are distinct kinds of gold standard. First, the gold specie standard is a system in which the monetary unit is associated with circulating gold coins, or with the unit of value defined in terms of one particular circulating gold coin in conjunction with subsidiary coinage made from a lesser valuable metal.

Gold certificates were used as paper currency in the United States from 1882 to 1933. These certificates were freely convertible into gold coins.

No country currently uses the gold standard as the basis of their monetary system, although several hold substantial gold reserves.

What makes this significant is all countries that used the gold standard were limited to the amount of money they could print to the amount of gold they owned. It limited what the Federal Reserve Bank could do in controlling the national economy and had been falsely blamed for several economic downturns and the "Great Depression", "in my opinion and research falsely".

So in 1971 we started basing the value of our money on the Gross Domestic Product of our country.

Gross domestic product:

(GDP) refers to the market value of all officially recognized final goods and services produced within a country in a given period. It determines the circulation of dollars and helps project the government revenue (taxes) that will be available each year to run the country. But it also lets the federal reserve monitor how money is being used to buy those goods and services and allows them to step in when the reserve liquidity tightens. Without getting too technical reserves are just that like the extra players on sports teams or the extra products you store at home when they run low or run out they need to be refilled, if a player gets hurt while playing another player needs to replace them. Same with the dollars if a bank or lending institution runs low on money part of the federal reserves job is to replace it by sending them dollars.Â So in 2008 when all of the banks started asking the Federal Reserve for extra dollars to pay for the bad debts they bought, the only way they could do this was to print it.

And there lies part of the reason you are now paying between 30%-100%Â more for everything in the past 3 years, the dollars being used to buy these assets are not related to the value of the goods and services they represent. The GDP has been stagnant with no real significant growth since 2008 with an annual average of 13 Trillion dollars.

But the amount of money printed and circulated, saved and invested worldwide has grown and it is known as the "monetary supply" of the United States.

The Monetary Supply:

In 2008 the monetary supply which is all the money in our system in every bank, pocket, business etc. where ever there is a dollar it is part of the monetary supply was 8.448 trillion dollars or 64.9% of the GDP.Â ThatÂ number includes the original TARP monies of 848 billion injected in the market that year.

The current monetary supply as of March 13, 2012 is 9.578 trillion or 73.6% of GDP. And what is worse is their latest round of cash infusion has not only deflated the value of yours and my dollars but raised the costs of everything we buy by not allowing the exchanges to reset themselves to reflect the actual economic climate. Since the start of Quantitative Easing by the Federal Reserve, everything has almost doubled in cost because of the doubling effect of both market and monetary policy manipulation.

So the Federal Reserve has been printing more dollars but the engine to make those dollars worth more is stalled so in car speak the Fed has flooded the engine. They have not only placed more dollars into the economy making the dollars that were already there worth less but by purchasing stocks, bonds and other hard assets and commodities they have raised the cost of everything related to their purchases. Yes you know about QE1 which bought 1.25 trillion dollars of debt, QE2 which purchased 900 billion dollars of long term Treasury notes. But since the end of QE2, QE3 where the Fed has been quietly injecting more money into the stock market to "prop it up" there latest balance sheet from March, 15, 2012 shows the new assets on their books.

And in the 3 plus years of this fiscal policy the effects are hurting everyone.

Gold in 12/2008 = $850.00 per once / 03/20/2012 $1640.00 per ounce

Oil in 12/2008 = $38.00 per barrel / 03/20/2012 %107.00 per barrel

Gas in 12/2008 = $1.05 per gallon futures exchange and $1.72 at the pump nationally / 03/20/2012 $ 3.09 per gallon on the futures exchange $3.89 a gallon at the pump.

Milk in 12/2008 = $2.79 per gallon / 03/20/2012 $3.89 per gallon.

Beef in 12/2008 = $ 2.89 per lb. 80/20 ground chuck / 03/20/2012 $4.59 per lb.

Not all of the current financial hardship's we face are due to Quantitative Easing but it has not been by any means the panacea it was touted to be for the economy and the other shoe is yet to drop. The Federal Reserve currently holds over 2.7 trillion dollars in debt obligations from lenders and banks. That is more than the GDP of 90% of the countries on this planet. When you falsely base the value of anything and then try to sell it, it will only be worth what the buyer is willing to pay for it.Â Now just as I am writing this the Fed just released their 2011 earnings stating they made 77 billion dollars but the data is not yet up on their website. We will wait to analyze the statements.

But their fiscal policy has us on the road that has been well traveled.

This has happened before:

After the end of WW1 the German Republic owed reparations to half of Europe for damages and penalties for their invasions of France, Poland and most of the Western European continent. You see Germany had gone off the gold standard in 1914, and could not effectively return to it as Germany had lost much of its remaining gold reserves in reparations. The German central bank issued un-backed marks virtually without limit to buy foreign currency for further reparations and to support workers during the Occupation of the Ruhr finally leading to hyperinflation in the 1920s.

The growing postwar economic crisis was a result of lost pre-war industrial exports, the loss of supplies in raw materials and foodstuffs from Alsace-Lorraine, Polish districts and the colonies, along with worsening debt balances, but above all, the result of an exorbitant issue of promissory notes raising money to pay for the war. Military-industrial activity had almost ceased, although controlled demobilization kept unemployment at around one million. The fact that the Allies continued to blockade Germany until after the Treaty of Versailles did not help matters, either. The allies permitted only low import levels of goods that most Germans could not afford. In its 14 years, the Weimar Republic was faced with numerous problems, including hyperinflation, political extremists on the left and the right and their paramilitaries, and hostility from the victors of World War I, who tried twice to restructure Germany's reparations payments through the Dawes Plan and the Young Plan. However, it overcame many of the requirements of the Treaty of Versailles(Germany eventually repaid a reduced amount of the reparations required of the treaty with the last payment being made on 3 October 2010).

The 1920s German inflation started when Germany had no goods to trade. The government printed money to deal with the crisis; this meant payments within Germany were made with worthless paper money, and helped formerly great industrialists to pay back their own loans. This also led to pay raises for workers and for businessmen who wanted to profit from it. Circulation of money rocketed, and soon banknotes were being overprinted to a thousand times their nominal value and every town produced its own promissory notes.

The value of the Papiermark had declined from 4.2 per U.S. dollar at the outbreak of World War I to 1 million per dollar by August 1923. This led to further criticism of the Republic. On 15 November 1923, a new currency, the Rentenmark, was introduced at the rate of 1 trillion (1,000,000,000,000) Papiermark for one Rentenmark, an action known as a monetary reset.

In Summary:

We have not yet had to go through that here in this country but it is not far off, under the current economic polices we have been down-graded for the first time in our history and we are facing the possibility that the dollar will stop being used as the "world currency" for trading on the exchanges. One of the benefits of being one of the last countries to come off the gold standard was that the U.S. dollar by default became the preferred currency when commodities such as gold, oil, silver, corn, wheat etc. are traded or sold their value is set in U.S. dollars. If you think it is bad now, what if the world stopped taking our money or stopped lending to us or devaluing our dollar to the levels that we devalued Germany's less than 100 years ago?

The methodology of Quantitative Easing or printing more money when you need it does not fix more than it delays the inevitable and increases the net effect when you add in the additional inflationary factors that it creates by the lessening of the current value of the purchasing power of our dollars. The inflationary costs by making the dollars in your pocket worth less because there are more of them with nothing to make them worth more and the fact that those extra dollars are not purchasing anything but time to delay what should have occurred already and allowed to reform based on real economic metrics.Â

We have to take responsibility for our elected officials fiscal malfeasance and dangerous policymaking if we are to recover from what has already been implemented. We must retract the dollar pool, require a full accounting of the Federal Reserve and then make them answerable to Congress. We must demand that laws and policies that have made for a devalued dollar be immediately rescinded and evaluation of a return to a base standard of currency backing be considered. We must demand a balanced budget both in our own homes and in Washington. We must allow market mechanics to dictate the survival of companies, not the political maneuverings of one party to use Federal dollars to purchase union votes.Â Â

There is only one thing that is too big to fail and it is this last bastion of freedom on Earth and her name is The United States of America!

The ruling class elites and their redheaded step-children the GOP have fought over my vote for 145 years and both of you have promised everything and delivered nothing but failure and economic slavery to your bloated leviathan called the U.S. Government.

You see I am that "Conservative" Independent voter that you 2 are fighting over, that was once a very loyal "Blue Dog" Democrat that dropped them after Carter: the last great savior they forced down my throat. I have watched you two fight for control of the same country with the same desire just different ways to create it and that is a permanent ruling class that effectively negates the will of the people who elect you to office. All of you have taken your oath of office and within days, month's or years pissed all over it for personal gain and financial profit. Most of you while raising your hand to take this oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God" put your party loyalty oath above this sacred commitment. And here is the key " I will bear true faith and allegiance" to the Constitution of the United States, well you both are nothing more than liars because both parties and especially the Democrats who, over the past 50 years became the Socialist Marxist ruling class and only represent themselves, have been guilty of failure to uphold that oath which is treason! Your genuine fear that both of you exhibit when true "Conservatism" is demonstrated or espoused by anyone that can lay waste to your pathetic existence and moral bankruptcy immediately sends you into a predictable and pathetic Pavlovian response. I have no words for the contempt and anger for them that I have without resorting to a profanity laced tirade that would melt the Internet and ban me from most of the hosting sites you are reading this on. Anyone who professes moral certainties and then openly supports either of these 2 parties or their candidates for any office must ask themselves 1 question, who are you trying to fool? For the first time in 40 years of voting I registered as a Republican to try and move the party back to Conservative values and principals only to see the people I could support without reservation slowly get removed from the equation, so by the time I can finally choose a representative the game is fixed again so my support is negated by the establishment RINO's and CINO's who have done everything short of physical assassination to shrink the field to force their candidate on me. The Republican establishment has become so paranoid of Conservatism that they are screwing themselves in states where redistricting (like here in Florida where they control the outcome through redistricting) would rather give up guaranteed victories in districts where existing candidates like Allen West would easily win re-election. They are redistricting the state of Florida and in the process have left every single gerrymandered district intact as to not offend the "minority" voter representation of the likes of the eloquent Corrine Brown but force Conservatives to fight for new seats with little to no support and the GOP boot on their throats.

This is supposed to motivate me to support the GOP and its candidates? Guess again!

West and other supposed "stalwart" defenders of Conservative values like Marco Rubio who were voted in to represent the electorate according to the Constitution, voted yes to a bill that gives this Marxist socialist totalitarian in the White House the power to arrest and detain any America citizen without trial. these guys give a whole new meaning to "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" , I don't think Tsun Tsu meant we were supposed to elect them to federal office.

Repeal Health Care Reform Bill of 2010
Support candidates and legislation that help repeal the Health Care Reform Bill of 2010, AKA “ObamaCare”. Support federal lawsuits promulgated by State Attorneys General to halt implementation of said Bill.

Comprehensive Health Care Solutions Health Care solutions must include Tort Reform that limits liability for pain and suffering. This cuts malpractice premiums and reduces the cost of needless “Defensive” tests. The law should allow posting of local prescription drug prices on the Internet so that people can shop for the lowest price. The Law must also allow: individuals and small businesses to purchase health/dental insurance across state and regional lines; encourage the medical industry to digitize medical records to reduce paperwork related costs; eliminate the Anti-Trust exemptions for Health Insurance companies which currently allow them to collude in setting prices and coverage.

Adopt a Fiscally Responsible Monetary Policy
The U.S. Government must adopt monetary policies that reverse our nation’s headlong descent into unsustainable debt, ongoing fiscal irresponsibility and progressive slide into de facto socialism. These policies should include auditing the Federal Reserve Bank to increase its financial transparency.

Promote Economic Prosperity

America should adopt measures to help revive and sustain economic vitality. A. Tax Credits, Incentives and Penalties. Congress should: enact Payroll Tax credits for small businesses to spur growth; provide U.S. multi-national corporations with tax credits for hiring U.S. citizens to work in America; impose tax penalties for every American job sent off-shore.

B. Stop Off-Shoring Jobs. We encourage American multi-national corporations to stop sending jobs offshore. We should also encourage Shareholders and Boards of Directors to help sustain the U.S. economy by halting this short-sighted practice by building more manufacturing plants and Call Centers in America.

C. “Buy American”. We encourage the American public to do its part in sustaining the U.S. economy by purchasing products “Made in America” whenever possible. They should also encourage stores to stock American made products. A “Buy American” initiative will help U.S. companies create jobs in America.

The United States must adopt a comprehensive Energy Policy This policy should be driven by private industry to include: wind; hydro power; clean coal technologies; solar; domestic and offshore oil drilling (including ANWAR); new forward looking technologies; and realistic, economically viable conservation programs. Nuclear power is a viable option and should be encouraged when using new technologies and environmentally feasible disposal systems for spent fuel.

Enact Reciprocal Trade Laws International Free Trade is only good if it is Fair Trade when all countries conduct such trade by the same rules. The U.S. trade deficit sends much of America’s wealth to foreign countries since many of them engage in unfair unilateral trade practices that include adding numerous Tariffs, Port of Entry Taxes and Import Duties on American products. Congress should enact laws that Reciprocates (Copies) those fees on products from each country that exports to the U.S. This will level the playing field since countries will then pay the same fees imposed on U.S. products.

End Automatic Congressional Cost of Living Increases Congress should amend the Ethics Reform Act of 1989 to remove the automatic Cost of Living (COLA) pay increases for Congress. In order for Congress to initiate pay increase they must bring a Bill to the floor for a majority vote and the pay increase will not take effect until the next Congress.

Require a Balanced Budget Require Congress to enact a Balanced Budget annually except in times of war or National emergency

U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are the Supreme Law of the Land The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are the Supreme Law of the land and shall be taken literally. Our rights are natural rights and are given to us by our Creator that no man can take away. All laws infringing on these rights must be repealed. All treaties that impose International Law on Americans which usurp the Constitution or Bill of Rights must be revoked.

Write Bills Plain, Common Sense English
Important legislation can be written in comprehensive language, as the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights clearly demonstrate. All Bills enacted by Congress must be written in plain, common-sense English prose that is comprehensive and understandable by citizens.

Reject all Forms of Affirmative Action
Affirmative Action based on race, gender or ethnicity must be banned at all levels of education and employment. This act of soft tyranny engenders latent hostility between and among ethnic groups and encourages the cultural “Balkanization” of America. It also lends de facto support for the unsound concept that certain minorities are incapable of advancement without institutional intervention.

Eliminate the Federal Government’s Power to Charter Organizations Eliminate the Federal government’s powers to charter organizations like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack.

Government Employees Should Not be Unionized
Unions have created a divisive dynamic within government agencies which should be accountable to the people alone. A government of the people, by the people and for the people should not be compromised by special interests.
No Automatic Citizenship for Children of Illegal Immigrants Support the “Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009” (H.R.1868) that rejects the concept of giving automatic citizenship to children of illegal aliens who are born within U.S. borders.

Life Begins at Conception and Ends at Natural Death Human life is nature’s continuum which begins at fertilization and is not interrupted until natural death. Constitutional personhood is the secular legal definition of the continuum of life. It is a law of logic that contradictory statements cannot be true at the same time. If nature’s continuum of life is true, then the secular continuum of life must also be true because if the secular continuum of life contradicts nature’s continuum of life, one is false.

Make English the Official Language of the United States English should be the official language of the United States. Individual States and Congress should enact laws that reflect that principle with exceptions for State Department, U.S. Immigration office functions and international ports/airports. Congress must mandate that all language in the public domain must be English and other language forms in the public domain should cease under penalty of the law. This does not restrict the rights of States to print materials in other languages as they deem necessary.
While it may appear to be a civic gesture of good will, giving foreign languages equal status with English results in eroding the unique culture of our country. The United States was, is and must always remain an English speaking country.

Marriage is Between One Man and One Woman
That true marriage is only between one man and one woman. Support a Constitutional Amendment that would outlaw gay marriage. Support the current Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) that allows any state to not recognize the same-sex marriage license issued by another state.

Carry Weapons on Military Bases The United States military should allow military personnel to carry firearms while on base. The 1993 Clinton ban should be lifted so that soldiers can be prepared to defend themselves at any time.

United States should Secede From the United Nations The U.S. should secede from United Nations and remove it from American soil. Foreign powers have conspired against the United States, the Constitution, its sovereignty and its people.

The new laws consist mostly of state passed legislation with California leading the way with over 10% of the new laws affecting everything from education to personal rights:

A law in California adds lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans, persons with disabilities, and others to the list of cultural groups whose roles and contributions to the development of the United States should be accurately portrayed in social science instructional materials. California SB 48

A law in California amends the Fair Employment and Housing Act to add gender identity and gender expression to the enumerated characteristics that require equal rights and opportunities under the law and prohibit discrimination. California AB 887

The state laws passed are again within the Framers of the Constitution intent of the 10th Amendment for states to direct and control their own destiny based on the elected directives of the states voting population. If you don't like where the state is headed you can pack up and pick up and get the hell out before it sinks under the weight of its own stupidity as California, Oregon, Illinois and a few other Socialist states are soon to experience.

What should frighten the hell out of every Freedom loving Red Blooded American who believes in the inherent greatness of this Constitutional Republic is the passing of the following law:

The National Defense Authorization Act of 2012.

There are still changes swirling around the Senate, but this looks like the basic shape of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act. Someone the government says is “a member of, or part of, al-Qaida or an associated force” can be held in military custody “without trial until the end of the hostilities authorized by the Authorization for Use of Military Force.” Those hostilities are currently scheduled to end the Wednesday after never. The move would shut down criminal trials for terror suspects.
But far more dramatically, the detention mandate to use indefinite military detention in terrorism cases isn’t limited to foreigners. It’s confusing, because two different sections of the bill seem to contradict each other, but in the judgment of the University of Texas’ Robert Chesney — a nonpartisan authority on military detention — “U.S. citizens are included in the grant of detention authority.”
An amendment that would limit military detentions to people captured overseas failed on Thursday afternoon. The Senate soundly defeated a measure to strip out all the detention provisions on Tuesday.
So despite the Sixth Amendment’s guarantee of a right to trial, the Senate bill would let the government lock up any citizen it swears is a terrorist, without the burden of proving its case to an independent judge, and for the lifespan of an amorphous war that conceivably will never end. Weirder still, the bill’s chief architect, Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), tried to persuade skeptics that the bill wasn’t so bad. His pitch? “The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States,” he said on the Senate floor on Monday. The bill would just let the government detain a citizen in military custody, not force it to do that. Reassured yet?
Civil libertarians aren’t. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) said it “denigrates the very foundations of this country.” Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) added, “it puts every single American citizen at risk.”

The "Brilliance" of Barry the Hustler in Chief!

I, like all Americans have spent the last 4 1/2 years listening to the socialist ruling class elites and their propaganda machine espouse the mental superiority of one Barack Hussein Obama aka. Barry Soetoro. They have elevated his supposed intellect to equate it to Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Socrates, Galileo, Leonardo DaVinci, Stephen Hawking, Nikolai Tesla, and thousands more of Histories great minds. Yet there is one glaring problem that keeps them from solidifying this scenario. Barry's not much more than a sharp street hustler with more hyperbole than substance and a slightly above average IQ.(avg. is 85)

If Barry were as sharp as touted they would be more than happy to release his academic records from Occidental College, Columbia, Harvard, or any of his published papers or articles from his community organizing days. As a matter of fact the only 2 touted publications by Shifty are his 2 books 1 of which was a miserable failure so poorly written that it was a privately paid for publishing. The second written after several years affiliation with Bill Ayers has an amazing new syntax, verse and writing style that was "inspired" by Mr. Ayers coaching Obama. So much so that it is almost a carbon copy of several books written by Bill the Bomber right down to the "definable writing styles". And after personally researching with several members of Mensa, we could not find anywhere in their records of Barry ever being tested.

Now I am 10 years older than Barry and I was tested in the mid 60's and the International Organization just celebrated its 65th. birthday, and has tested in every major population center on earth, so if he were as intelligent as portrayed he would have been tested somewhere while attending school either in Hawaii, Indonesia, California, New York or Massachusetts, wherever there was a Mensa chapter. To be recognized for membership you must have an IQ in the top 2 percentile as recognized by national or international standardized testing methodology. There are no records of either of his names in the records of his testing warranting any recognition of any level of genius or even border line above average intellect that would resemble a genius IQ.

So where oh where is the "Brilliant Barry" records and why someone of such great mental prowess is not showering us with his intellectual greatness beyond his oratorical skills while demonstrating his reading abilities. If he is as truly gifted in the IQ department, why would they not be flooding us with the proof of said gifts?

As a youth growing up in NYC I can remember the street hustlers in Times Square dealing 3 card Monty and impressed by how smooth they had their play down. Their banter was well rehearsed and their desired effect was the diversionary tactic to distract you from paying attention to what his hands were doing, rigging the game against you by removing the object that would allow you to win. They called it follow the queen and by the time they got done with their play the queen was never on the table or box in front of you and your money was as good as in their pocket. The espoused intellectual greatness of Barry is nothing more than a game of follow the queen.

We are being hustled and it is not just our money being taken but the very freedoms that we as Americans were born with. And in Barry they have the perfect front man, someone who they can manipulate and control yet someone who is polished enough in the art of deception to avoid the scrutiny that socialists and communists and progressives have been vilified for in the past. They now have their carnival barker that can convey their class warfare divisive Marxist message while quietly enacting the necessary infrastructure to supplant our Constitution.

Barack Hussein Obama is now dealing this country 3 card Monty while he enacts more than 4000 federal regulations not voted on in Congress and just recently signed another executive order #13575.

He has with his minions and puppet masters and the main sewer media propagandizing their agenda took this 235 year old Constitutional Republic with democratically elected representation and turned it into a totalitarian socialist state where the rule of law is now been supplanted by the rule of men. As of Nov. 24 2011 he has signed 101 executive orders that also bypass the aforementioned stop gaps that once defined our representation. This has been a trend by many presidents since the turn of the 20th. century with FDR holding the record with 3,728 in his tenure and 573 in 1933 alone.

It is not so much the proclivity of Barry's orders as it is the orders themselves that tells the tale of the intended and instituted deception to hide the truth of his verifiable intellectual capabilities and starts the deception. His first order on 01/21/2009 the very first day of his administration he signed executive order 13489 and 13490 blocking any attempt for anyone to access any sitting or former POTUS' official records if they do not wish them to be and the release of any said document must be reviewed and approved by both the POTUS and the Attorney General and reversing 2 previous executive orders from former POTUS' that were demanded by the same main sewer media that now has amnesia about their boy Barry. His most recent explained in the video above received as much media attention as the first two did but the real difference is that we are even further down the road of a fascist totalitarian socialist democracy that is now under mob rule.

And he is not alone in this and has allies all around and from both sides of the aisle because the "ruling class elite" our own version of the dukes and barons of foregone monarchal rule that are willing to supplant our civil liberties to maintain their power.

They have moved their agenda of a one world order with the United Nations as the ruling body and not our elected representatives. They have moved past the laws of this Republic and are fast approaching the point of no return. And the latest attempt in the Senate to remove another barrier is with the " National Defense Authorization Act" (S.1867)

The U.S. Senate is moving to enact a law that would allow military troops to march on U.S. soil and arrest American citizens with no due process, no trial, no legal representation and no protection under the Bill of Rights. Americans could be thrown in secret military prisons, interrogated, tortured and held indefinitely without ever being charged with a crime!

We are one step further down the road to socialist fascism and the front man for their grand plan is well suited, he has no morals or honor and never let the truth get in the way of a good lie, just like any good con man. He has a 100 watt smile and can be smooth and charming which are common traits for a skilled deceiver. He is narcissistic and in private condescending and self righteous believing his own hype and that also is a necessary trait for a good con to work, the person doing the conning has to convince everyone including himself that it is not a con for it work. And you must have a supporting cast to complete the con and he has one in his Czars and the Democrat party and the unions and the media. If you doubt this watch an oldie but a goodie of a movie called "The Sting" I just re-watched it and realized that we are being played like Doyle Lonnigan the mark in the movie.

They now constitute the single greatest threat to this Republic’s future since December 07, 1941.

They have for the past 170 years. Starting in Europe and slowly migrating west they have crept behind the walls of society. They have had many “intellectual” spokespersons in the form of : Karl Marx / Friedrich Engels / E.T. Kingsley / George Bernard Shaw that use economics as the primary weapon of destroying free market economies and countries from within. Karl Marx’s Das Kapital is the classic work that formed the basis of all of John Maynard Keynes future findings in Keynesian economics.

The leaders of Socialist Marxist movements have created and used this economic unrest to create political unrest and social disorder, leading to chaos, in turn turning the working classes against the producer classes and have successfully over-thrown governments and monarchies. From the 1790’s France to 1970’s Cambodia to today in Venezuela and the Congo and Sudan these countries and many more where democratically elected governments or monarchial society’s or any local form of government has been supplanted with far worse using a “better life” as their rallying cry. They have all led to dictatorships that have been genocidal nightmares with hundreds of millions of the people they used to take power murdered or imprisoned. From Robespierre to Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, Moa, Pol Pot, Guevara, all of them recognized how the use of current downturns in economic conditions to insight and implement political gain through mobilization of the masses.

Every single instance above started where we are now beginning, this is intentionally being done to ferment and fester this countries population. The Marxist Socialist Democrat’s are creating the demise of this country to empower their party and subjugate the population to a singular rule of law. It is blatantly obvious that for more than 100 years since Teddy Roosevelt lost to Woodrow Wilson and his progresssive Bull Moose party that split the Republican party, the Democrats have held the majority of power. As you can see that in the 144 years including the last 10 years not shown on this graph the Democrats have been in control 110 of those years. But it has not been this Marxist Socialist one rule party until LBJ and his Great Society. This was their first step in strengthening their political base with outright government funded taxpayer paid bribes. They insured the black vote this way and by rewriting history they have manipulated the facts that the Democrat Party was the party of the minorities which is factually an outright lie. Lincoln and most abolitionists left the Whig party and formed the new Republican party.

The current makeup of the Democrat party shifted from the original roots of Thomas Jefferson into the current Socialist Progressive composition today. The fight was over economic ideas and fiscal policies of Alexander Hamilton used to create what is now the Federal Reserve banking system one of the chief architects of our current and previous fiscal demise. The original party was against it. They are now by policy and action the chief supporters of it and the uncontrolled government expansion into every facet of our lives. All you have to do is pay attention to the legislation they have passed and the regulatory choke hold they have on us.

They have controlled our government 76.4% of the time and during that period the government has expanded by adding just since 1964 1500+ agencies. YES as of today there are 1909 government agencies compared to approx. 400 before the Socialist Marxist infiltration of our government by the Democrats. ( I looked for the exact amount but it is beyond my reach requiring federal approval to download the archived documents which they will never release to me). To what purpose would such massive government oversight serve? What Else!

They are responsible for the last 46 years of this countries fall, delivering us into the hands of this Marxist Socialist dictatorship we are now ruled by. When 2/3’s of our elected officials ignore the will of the people, it is no longer a representative form of government but an Autocracy a form of tyranny.

And now we stand on the precipice of history and we show that the majority of Americans are pushing back against their plans, they are going to fight or destroy this country before they give it up. They are clawing for their very existence with only one thing in mind: Take control of this country at all costs! Why else would they refuse to pass a budget in 818 days, insist on taxes in the middle of a recession and yes we have not left it never did. The lies about our economy from the government now showing GDP numbers of .04 and 1.5% will once there is real accountability restored be shown as what they really are : NEGATIVE!

And that is part of why they are going to take this far past every previous attempt to socialize this country, they have lied and invested in those lies their entire future as a party and its entire support mechanisms such as the unions and the main sewer media et.al. The NWO, the Bilderberger Society, the George Soros’ etc. have never before infiltrated this deep into our government through their political manipulations.

They will not give it up easy or without a fight and destroying our free market economic system is the first step, by creating inflation through devaluing our currency. It goes all the way back to removing us from the gold standard in the early 1970’s when our $$$ were backed by the value of gold, if that were in place today the value of our money would correlate to its percentage weight of gold's current value above $1600. think of the purchasing power and the removal of inflationary dollar devaluing. Just the last 2 quantative easing’s by the Fed. have cost us over 20% of our dollars value causing fuel and food costs to skyrocket, with fuel up 135% since Obama took office alone and since the Democrats ran everything from 2007 till 2011 real inflation (not the BS they feed us) is 55% when you count food, fuel, and the other necessities they conveniently leave out of the equation. If you factor in the gold valuing, our dollar has lost potential purchasing power growth of over 1300% as a direct result of the Democrat party and its legislation.

For what gain you may ask , when it is 1960’s Soviet Union where everyone waits in lines miles long for the necessities and only the Socialist Ruling Class Elites have access to the luxuries in life you will be too concerned with survival then revolution. It took the live of millions of Russian Patriots to win back just a little freedom and gain a small step towards autonomy. They are now where this government and their real masters intend for us to be before it is all over. And their hand is being played right in front of you and you suffer more every day.

They sell our children, grandchildren and their legacy into fiscal bondage they cannot repay so when default comes and it will if they are not stopped now, they finish the job. As usual the liberal progressive socialist Marxist's have got it wrong. They are currently ranting and raving about bankers, investors, corporate CEO's, etc., who based on their performance and guidance, reap the rewards of their fiscal acumen. Most of these perceived "Robber Barons" are paid on the profitability of said corporations they run. They in essence get paid on the value of their work not the volume or lack there of like most of the unions thugs and Democratic politicians and communist idealists like the Hollywood crowd that now join their ranks.

The problem with the government educated useless idiots that "Occupy Wall Street" cannot be summed up in a few words, because they themselves, as all "useless idiots" are, are a mob with a mob mentality not a singular view point. Their anti-American progressive socialist behavior is too deeply rooted. It has been hammered into them by a corrupted education system that since the formation of the Dept. of Education by the Socialist Ruling Class Elites has focused entirely on indoctrinating this Nations youth into their dogma. They have also created the greatest system of corrupted crony capitalism that has been intentionally ignored by the main sewer media and have profited by it, unfettered by legal restraint or legislative restrictions for BILLIONS of dollars. Yes that is correct there is no legal restraints on any member of congress or their staff or the White House and its staff from trading on information on pending legislation!

Closing the Congressional Insider Trading Loophole

March 11, 2009, 7:09 am

In the days leading up to Nov. 16, 2005, the stock prices and trading volumes of several companies with asbestos-related liabilities including USG Corp., W.R. Grace & Co., and Crown Holdings, began to spike up in an otherwise flat market. No publicly available news about these companies or the industry explained the increases in price and volume.

What the public did not yet know—but what was known to certain investors with political connections—was that on Nov. 16, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist would deliver a speech announcing new legislation to relieve companies such as USG Corp. and others of their liabilities in asbestos-related lawsuits.

The asbestos legislation is an example of the effect that Congressional action can sometimes have on a stock’s price, and also of the potential for insider trading based on that knowledge of non-public information. Notably, and to the surprise of most people, no laws or regulations prohibit members of Congress (or their friends, staff, neighbors, or other acquaintances) from trading freely on such material, non-public information about a public company.

Indeed, members of Congress and their staff currently do not owe any “duty of confidentiality” to Congress and can’t be held liable for insider trading based on congressional knowledge under the current laws. Nor is there anything at this time that would prohibit Congressional staffers and executive branch employees from sharing inside information obtained from Congress with their friends—potentially allowing the recipients of such information to use it to make huge trading profits or prevent big losses. That means trading on inside knowledge of upcoming Congressional action is today one of the few forms of legal, repeatable insider trading (see my December 2008 column for a list of the others).

An academic study released in 2004, as well as some other more recent developments, indicates that this Congressional loophole to the insider trading laws isn’t just theoretical. Georgia State University professor Alan Ziobrowski released a study showing that during the 1990s, senators’ stock picks (which must be publicly disclosed periodically) beat the market by 12 percentage points a year on average. By comparison, corporate insiders only beat the market by about 6 percentage points a year, and U.S. households underperformed the market by 1.4 percentage points.

Ziobrowski and his colleagues concluded their findings “suggest that senators are trading stock based on information that is unavailable to the public, thereby using their unique position to increase their personal wealth …” Ziobrowski later was quoted as stating that, in his opinion, “there is cheating going on.”

There were also published reports in the wake of the study that the Securities and Exchange Commission had reviewed the findings, but decided not to pursue the issue because such cases would be difficult to prove. Critics, however, observed that a more cynical explanation for the SEC’s decision to do nothing might lie in the fact that the U.S. Senate is responsible for approving SEC commissioners and the agency’s budget.

In September 2008, U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus of Alabama, the ranking Republican on the House Financial Services Committee, drew criticism for his trading of short-term put and call options in 2007, including a single transaction on Dec. 10 that netted him $15,000. He’d held that particular investment for just two weeks, and sold it on the same day that the company’s stock price surged following its announcement that it would acquire a competitor. Bachus’ trading in 2007 reportedly allowed him to supplement his $165,200 annual congressional salary by $160,000 that year.

There’s more: Tony Rudy, a staffer for former House Minority Leader Tom DeLay, was suspected of consistently trading based on material, non-public legislative information. While a DeLay staffer, Rudy reportedly traded hundreds of thousands of shares of stock from his work computer in 1999 and 2000.

Failure and Reform

It’s hard to come up with any compelling reason why trading based on Congressional knowledge should remain legal, and quite easy to build the case against it. Still, despite a situation that cries out for legislation to end this loophole, recent efforts to pass a bill that would do just that have gone nowhere. In January, U.S. Reps. Louise Slaughter and Brian Baird introduced—for the third time—legislation intended to stop insider trading on Capitol Hill called the “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act” (the STOCK Act). Slaughter and Baird also introduced similar bills in 2006 and 2007, without success.

Slaughter and Baird have persisted, however, and Baird recently stated that he considers the legislation to be more important than ever as the government prepares to direct billions of dollars into the economy through the Troubled Asset Relief Program. The STOCK Act of 2009 (H.R. 682) would, among other things, amend Section 10 of the Securities Exchange Act and Section 4(c) of the Commodities Exchange Act to:

prohibit members of Congress, employees of Congress, or executive branch employees from buying or selling stocks, bonds, or commodities futures based on non-public information they obtain because of their status;
prohibit those outside Congress from buying or selling stocks, bonds, or commodities futures based on non-public information obtained from within Congress or the executive branch;
prohibit Congressmen and employees from disclosing any non-public information about any pending or prospective legislative action obtained from a member or employee of Congress for investment purposes; and
require members of Congress and employees to report the purchase, sale, or exchange of any stock, bond, or commodities future transaction in excess of $1,000 within 90 days.

It would also require firms that sell “political intelligence” and obtain their information directly from Congress to register with the House and Senate, and to make disclosures much like lobbying firms are now required to do.

There are arguments against the STOCK Act, but none strike me as particularly strong. One is that the law is unnecessary because congressmen already have a duty preventing them from trading on inside information that derives from some combination of common law relationships, agreements to maintain information in confidence, and a history of sharing confidences. But it’s difficult to see this ill-defined and never-before applied “duty” serving as the basis of a future insider trading case against a congressman.

Another practical limit on Congressional insider trading may lie in the concept of “democratically accountability”—that Congressmen must publicly disclose their trading activity, and their constituents will take note and vote them out of office if they appear to be engaging in insider trading. This, too, seems like a weak argument. If we really want to deter insider trading flowing from Congressional knowledge, legislation seems like a much more effective and direct means of doing so.

If anything, the more interesting arguments against the STOCK Act are that it isn’t strong enough. While the STOCK Act amends the rules of the House of Representatives to prohibit disclosure of material, non-public information to others, for some reason it does not similarly amend the rules of the Senate. In addition, while corporate executives must publicly disclose their securities transactions within just two business days under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the STOCK Act gives members of Congress the luxury of a full 90 days to do so.

Finally, the STOCK Act places greater restrictions on federal employee insider trading than on congressional insider trading: While it broadly prohibits federal employees from trading securities based on material non-public information relating to the issuer of the securities, it only prohibits insider trading by Congressmen with respect to “any pending or prospective legislative action relating to such issuer …”

In short, a loophole currently allows members of Congress and their “tippees” to engage in legal insider trading based on what they learn from their elected positions. The only way to close this loophole is for the very people that benefit from the loophole to close it themselves.

So far, however, the efforts of Representatives Slaughter and Baird to end this loophole have gone nowhere, and there is nothing to indicate that Round 3 of their attempt to “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge” will have any greater success. With hundreds of billions (if not trillions) of dollars of federal money poised to gush into the economy by the U.S. government, now seems like the perfect time to pass legislation such as the STOCK Act.

Congressional Staffers Gain From Trading in Stocks

So the Occupy Wall Street useless idiots are going after all the evil institutions with the support of the real thieves that besides the aforementioned personal gains through if not illegal, immoral behavior, are guilty of the single greatest act of outright theft in this countries history! Where is the 4.7 trillion dollars that was with interest, paid into the Social Security trust fund that they were entrusted to safeguard for the trustees?

The Democratic party with the use of the "Great Society" legislation stole every single cent plus all of the potential earned interest from said funds to create and fund the destruction of our Republic and its society. They used those funds to create the following bureaucracies and the entitlement programs which have not only failed the people they were "supposed" to help but instead enslaved them. Starting in 1965 and going forward they have used those "trust fund" dollars to create and fund the Dept. of Health and Human Services to create Medicaid which is bankrupting Medicare and almost every state in the union. The food stamp program which is overseen and funded by the Dept. of Agriculture where it is now 80% of their budget. The Dept. of Housing and Urban Development ( originally the Public Works Administration) which led to the great Housing Projects fiasco that many cities are still cleaning up, also the section 8 voucher program paying hundreds to thousands of dollars to individuals to subsidize or pay in full their rent. The Dept. of Energy and within it the low income utility subsidy for section 8 housing occupants. The list is so large that the subsidized programs created by Johnson and the Democrat party with this legislation would take up several hundred pages. In just the years since our government passed this legislation it has grown by 400% while our population has grown by 30% .

The Cronies who have been willful participants with the criminals factually identified in the information here today, and are just as guilty as the politicians who have benefited from their largess and contributions. They deserve to be punished as much as, if not more so then the politicians themselves, because they are even more duplicitous and create the fiscal opportunities by which the others have prospered. They have used their financial positions to subvert and subjugate this countries free market and replace it with a centrally planned economy run by a socialist autocracy where we have lost our freedom and created the useless idiots who now protest them.

The useless idiots that occupy Wall Street are being used and manipulated by the Democrat party and their co-conspirators because their whole agenda for America is being repudiated by overwhelming numbers and they are now in full damage control mode. They need a villain besides themselves and when your entire modus operandi is based on the Marxist socialist model, you use class and racial warfare to vilify your enemy and hide your fear. You identify a group or class and keep lying about them until you incite mob reaction and then foster that reaction with your thug army. You use your propaganda to create a false persona of the offensive behavior or action or completely repudiate and lie about the obvious actions or words from those you support. You infiltrate the mob with your manipulators to direct and focus the mob into following and implementing your agenda. You use your media personalities that can communicate your message without being eviscerated by the media. You continue to incite violence or rebellious behavior without overtly implicating yourself or your agenda.

This was used with great effect in 1917 to oust the last Monarchy from Russia and start the reign of communist rule with 80 million people paying the price with their lives.

This worked well in 1932 Germany and helped elect a little known former convicted political agitator by the name of Adolf Hitler.

I hope it does not come to this but as long as we have the criminals in this country untouched by the law and hiding behind the same Constitution that they are bent on destroying, then we must be ready to fight for our Freedoms and our lives if necessary.

To: Joe Biden and the Socialist Ruling Class Elite in Washington;

Thank You for your recent statement calling me and the 60+% of Americans like me: American terrorists!

Your recent “non-statement” that you and your boss have vehemently denied through your White House mouth piece Mr. Carney the carnival barker stating that those people who do not share, support, or defend your Marxist Socialist agenda for this country are terrorists. It is refreshing to know that the Executive Branch of OUR federal government is so engaging to the majority of its citizenship. It is comforting to realize that the elected representative values that were created by our Constitution still hold such great value to those whom we call our employees.

In response to your statement I would like to illuminate several historical and contemporary facts that you and your masters and those who share your ideology and agenda have yet to comprehend or dare I say think are not prescient.

You may think that your “Great Society” implementation of Socialist Marxist programs have sufficiently subverted the Constitution of this Great Republic and its Freedoms guaranteed by its first 10 Amendments’ called the Bill of Rights but as you are now coming to terms with they have not. Since the 1870’s in this country you and what you represent which is progressive socialism have attempted to destroy our “God Given” freedoms as determined by the following statement: “We hold these truth’s to be self-evident that ALL men are created equal and they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among these rights are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”. These words were preceded in the Declaration of Independence by the following:

“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation”.

The men who wrote such eloquent words to break the bonds of an “unclean tyrant” were by a majority of the population of this “colony” also described in similar terms and that was the lesser of what they faced: The Price They Paid

Your class warfare rhetoric and your attempts to insight social unrest to ferment your opportunity for continued rule will be held into account when the reckoning is held. Your denial of your Oath of Office and the consequences that it brings during this time of war under the War Powers Act will be enforceable. Your arrogance of superiority that you are far better to control our self-determination as guaranteed by the aforementioned documents than the voters of this country is noted. As it was once before:

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security”.

Your party has been in control of this countries government for 110 of the last 144 years and has been responsible for every single economic down-turn, recession and depression with your attempts and success’ in the desire to create your “progressive dream” of a socialist ruled country with a centrally planned economy.

You have failed every single time because this countries freedoms are as inherent as its soil. Our freedom is organic and existed here long before white men set foot on this soil. It is part and parcel to our DNA and is as needed as the air we breathe and the water we drink.

We are and always have been the continent where freedom of man exists, and you think that because you can enslave a small portion of the population with your entitlements and that you can convince others that what you offer is greater than what you take, all will follow or be intimidated or excoriated into subservience. You think the population of the government educated outreaches the enlightened electorate and your sphere of influence encompasses more than the reality of the truth. Your steadfast adherence to the theory of “telling a lie often enough and it will become the truth” is only effective with those that are motivated by personal self interest and irresponsible gain, if their is nothing in it for them then they will not react.

You really aren’t very smart at all and it is vividly obvious why you and your kind chose public office, you could never sustain that level of incompetence and ignorance in the results oriented private sector.

But by all means please feel free to call me a terrorist or racist or whatever derogatory, insidious, vile, despicable negative statement that your small minds can come up with because when I look in the mirror I see a Patriot that is going to stop you and take my Republic back.
