I'm wondering why the TEA Party is not mustering the supporters to a march on Washington. Time is running out. Once Obamacare is implemented Jan1st it is going to be hard to remove, like a cancer intertwined in the system thru out the nation. Larry Klayman and Reclaim America Now Coalition is calling for a march on Washington Nov 19th. Where are the busses lined up like was done to protest Obamacare 4 yrs ago. Why are we not marching on Washington? Where is TEA Party support for these marches. There is a lot more support for TEA Party than is being shown. I think many are being silent out of fear of DHS showing up at their house at 4 AM in the morning. But, if the busses were lined up, they would be overfilled with patriots. I think a march on Washington is our last hope. When the expense of Obamacare starts hitting the books Jan 1, our debt climbs higher, our credit rating goes down, the dollar collapses and hyper-inflation hits, it will be too late. We may not have until Nov 2014.

I am a loyal conservative and sickened by what I am seeing coming from this administration. I encourage my friends to read up on Obama's anti-American past and try to educate my people. I have signed up for the Obama website - although I am not supporting him in ANY way - so I can see what the democrats are sending out to their constituency. I recently received an email from MoveOn.org. It was a letter encouraging me to start a movement in my home town of Southlake TX - a largely conservative township of affluent corporate executives. Obviously I will not be spearheading any MOVEMENT other than to get him voted out of office! But what concerns me is that I HAVE NOT SIGNED ON TO ANY OCCUPY WEBSITES or EMAIL lists. Because the only list on that side of the isle that I have signed onto was the Obama supporter website, this tells me that the Occupy movement is coming DIRECTLY FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. They have obviously given their email list to this group to promote protests.
We need to take action and expose Obama for encouraging this bad behavior. These protesters are not doing anything positive for our country, on the contrary, they are costing us a forture in clean up. Obama needs to take responsibility for what he is promoting and causing.
Here is the email that I received:
Dear MoveOn member,
What happens next for the 99% movement is up to each of us. We can let it fade away, or we come together to bring it back bigger and stronger than ever this spring.
Right now, groups all over the country—inspired by the everyday heroes of Occupy Wall Street—are planning for a 99% Spring in America. It's an opportunity to build on last year's momentum with a massive campaign of bold nonviolent direct actions to confront the 1% nationwide.
That's why during the week of April 9-15, in small towns and big cities all across America, we're working with our allies to bring 100,000 people together for an unprecedented national movement-wide training on how—following in the footsteps of Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—we can take nonviolent direct action this spring to challenge the 1%.
So far the response has been pretty amazing. More than 500 training events are already set up, and we've seen a huge surge of MoveOn members stepping up to host events—much more than anyone expected. But no one in Southlake has stepped up to coordinate a training. Can you sign up to host a local 99% Spring action training?
From the labor movement to the struggle for civil rights, we have an incredible shared history in America of everyday people using the power of nonviolent direct action to create change when our country needed it the most.
Last year the courage and moral clarity that we saw from the protests at the Capitol in Wisconsin to Occupy Wall Street followed in that tradition—and forced America to finally talk about economic inequality and just how badly our system is broken.
But we need a whole lot more of that kind of courageous action if we're going to create meaningful change. That's the vision for the 99% Spring, and it all starts with this massive, ambitious, plan to train 100,000 people in the theory and practice of nonviolent direct action.
Can you help by hosting a 99% Spring action training in Southlake?
Anyone can host a training—you can have just a handful of people in your living room or you can find a local community center, place of worship, campus, or public space for a larger event. We'll follow up with all the details and provide the support and guidance you'll need to coordinate an event. We'll also help you connect and collaborate with other local 99% Spring volunteers and groups.
MoveOn members who want to see the 99% movement grow have already committed to coordinating events. But we don't have enough space yet to provide trainings to all 100,000 people. As 5 million progressives, we have a unique ability to help our movement hit that goal and grow even stronger.
Thanks for all you do.
–Lenore, Robin, Elena, Ryan, and the rest of the team
Want to support our work? MoveOn Civic Action is entirely funded by our 5 million members—no corporate contributions, no big checks from CEOs. And our tiny staff ensures that small contributions go a long way. Chip in here.
Our movement is about to do something unprecedented: train 100,000 people over the course of just one week in nonviolent direct action. More than 500 trainings are already planned, but so far no one has volunteered to host a 99% Spring action training in Southlake. Can you host a training during the week of April 9-15?

What’s disturbing about this picture?
Posted on The Blaze-By Becket Adams-On January 24, 2012:
“George Soros is no stranger to Blaze readers. The billionaire currency speculator and philanthropist has long been in the news, especially since the fateful day in 1992 when he helped crash England’s economy. In fact, since that day, he has been commonly referred to as “the man who broke the bank of England.”
Soros is shrewd, he has a keen eye for investments, and he knows how to play the markets. Therefore, when he makes a prediction, it might be safe to say it’s worth a listen. After all, his predictions (among other things) have made him the multi-billionaire he is today.
So you might want to pay attention to a recent story from The Daily Beast that claims George Soros is nervous about the future of the global economy and that he warns of dark things to come.
“At times like these, survival is the most important thing,” Soros said.
As he sees it, the world faces one of the most dangerous periods of modern history—a period of “evil,” writes the Beasts’ John Arlidge. “Europe is confronting a descent into chaos and conflict. In America [Soros] predicts riots in the streets that will lead to a brutal clampdown that will dramatically curtail civil liberties [emphases added]. The global economic system could even collapse altogether.”
And to add a little color, Aldridge notes Soros says it all while “peering through his owlish glasses and brushing wisps of gray hair off his forehead.”
“I am not here to cheer you up. The situation is about as serious and difficult as I’ve experienced in my career,” Soros told Newsweek. “We are facing an extremely difficult time, comparable in many ways to the 1930s, the Great Depression. We are facing now a general retrenchment in the developed world, which threatens to put us in a decade of more stagnation, or worse. The best-case scenario is a deflationary environment. The worst-case scenario is a collapse of the financial system.”
As mentioned in the above, and as The Daily Beast points out, Soros’ warning is probably based on his natural market instincts as well as personal experience.
“I did survive a personally much more threatening situation, so it is emotional, as well as rational,” Soros said in reference to his personal experiences with both Nazi and Communist occupations.
“The collapse of the Soviet system was a pretty extraordinary event, and we are currently experiencing something similar in the developed world, without fully realizing what’s happening,” Soros said.
“Unrestrained competition can drive people into actions that they would otherwise regret,” Soros said. “The tragedy of our current situation is the unintended consequence of imperfect understanding. A lot of the evil in the world is actually not intentional. A lot of people in the financial system did a lot of damage without intending to.”
Wait a minute. Soros believes that the economic meltdown was the result of not just poor investments but honest-to-God “evil”?
“That’s correct,” Soros affirmed.
Soros continued in this vein, each prediction getting darker and grimmer than the last.
He believes that the EU must be held together because “if you have a disorderly collapse of the euro, you have the danger of a revival of the political conflicts that have torn Europe apart over the centuries—an extreme form of nationalism, which manifests itself in xenophobia, the exclusion of foreigners and ethnic groups.”
“In Hitler’s time, that was focused on the Jews,” Soros said. “Today, you have that with the Gypsies, the Roma, which is a small minority, and also, of course, Muslim immigrants.”
It is “now more likely than not” that Greece will formally default in 2012, Soros said. For this, he blames the EUs’ leadership and believes that eurozone leaders only know how to “do enough to calm the situation, not to solve the problem.”
Soros then went on to talk about how the Occupy Wall Street movement has added to the ever-changing dynamics in the world economy. Debt, Wall Street and capitalism have been put under intense scrutiny and people are becoming increasingly angry.
As this anger intensifies, will the inevitable result be a spontaneous eruption of violence and riots?
“Yes, yes, yes,” Soros says, almost “gleefully.”
However, according to Soros, worse than the riots and violence will be the government reaction.
“It will be an excuse for cracking down and using strong-arm tactics to maintain law and order, which, carried to an extreme, could bring about a repressive political system, a society where individual liberty is much more constrained, which would be a break with the tradition of the United States,” Soros said.
Perhaps because he sees such a dark future for the West, Soros has staked his “hopes” for the global economy in Middle East and the “democracies” that are springing up over there.
“While the developed world is in a deep crisis, the future for the developing world is very positive,” Soros said. “The aspiration of people for an open society is very inspiring. You have people in Africa lining up for many hours when they are given an opportunity to vote. Dictators have been overthrown. It is very encouraging for freedom and growth.”
Soros insists the key to avoiding cataclysm in 2012 is not to let the crises of 2011 go to waste, writes John Arlidge.
“In the crisis period, the impossible becomes possible,” Soros said. “The European Union could regain its luster. I’m hopeful that the United States, as a political entity, will pass a very severe test and actually strengthen the institution.”

On Sunday’s NBC Meet the Press, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that he sympathized with the American people’s frustration with Congress. He went on to say that it was due to the “obstructionism on steroids” caused by the Republicans and the extremist Tea Party. “I hope the Republicans have learned their lesson” Reid continued. The debate on the extension of the payroll tax deduction was “a disaster” for the Republicans (http://bit.ly/yzZa5x). In that debate, the president and the Democrats proposed, and finally received, a two month extension. The Republicans proposed, and folded on, a one year extension. The problem here was that the liberals, supported by the main stream media, control the dialogue. Somehow, wanting to extend a tax deduction for a full year was turned into a bad thing for the American people and only wanting to extend a tax cut for two months was the more reasonable position. Harry went on to say that the art of legislation was negotiation and compromise. So, it is the Democratic position that if they propose further spending or a new program, and the Republicans don’t want it at all, it is our responsibility to compromise. That assumes that the creation of the program is a given, it is really just a matter of working out the details. It is further assumed that if the Republicans don’t fall in line, we’re being obstructionists. It is more “extreme” that one party, and the president, will continuously increase spending and grow government at the expense of liberty than it is to attempt to prevent it. Reid continued by stating that the Tea Party’s influence has been “really bad for this country” (http://bit.ly/yzZa5x). With the national debt currently at $15,241,210,000,000, and over $5 trillion of that added since Obama took office, it is inconceivable how he can consider that good for the country. And, as if that wasn't enough, Obama has asked Congress to authorize another $1.2 trillion raise in the debt ceilling. But, he, and his liberal compatriots do. Because they control the debate, it is the Tea Party and our desire to return this country to our founding principles, small, sound and accountable government that is labeled “extreme”. By contrast, it is these same liberals that sympathize with the Occupy Wall Street movement. That wave of protestors are supported by the American Communist Party, SEIU, big labor, and socialists. The OWS has a basic Marxist message empower the government to redistribute wealth from the producers in this country to the recipient class.
Even Congressman Bill Owens (D-NY23) said that the Occupy Wall Street movement was “just like the Tea Party” in their protests at a town hall meeting at SUNY Canton in October. This is despite the fact that there have been numerous violent confrontations with police, rapes, assaults, drug use, thousands of arrests and a near universal disregard for private property rights at the OWS protests and not one arrest at any Tea Party event. Yet, we are the extremists? Harry Reid thinks the Tea Party is dying out because the economy is getting better. First, the economy is not getting better. When Obama was sworn in, the unemployment rate was 7.6% (http://bit.ly/z9CwEg). It is now 8.5% (http://bit.ly/eT9opV) and has been over 9% for the majority of Obama’s presidency. The Democrats controlled the presidency, the House of Representatives and the Senate for the first two years of his administration. They were able to force through every progressive policy they wanted with a total disregard for the Republicans or the American people. So, despite all of the rhetoric, despite the $785 billion stimulus, cash for clunkers, Obamacare, green job initiatives, the take over of GM, etc, the unemployment rate is still higher now than at Obama’s inauguration. Yet, because the progressives and liberals control the message, we’re told “the economy is getting better”, the Republicans are “obstructionists” and the Tea Party are the “extremists”. Harry now says his agenda for next year is creating jobs. So far, no less than three times, the president has stated that creating jobs was his top priority. If the liberal progressive agenda was ever going to work to create jobs, the unemployment rate would be lower now than when he took office. It isn’t. Their agenda doesn’t work and won’t work this time. On being “obstructionists”. Between the House, the Senate and the president, there are 536 people that can pass laws coercing 300 million Americans at the threat of punishment to comply with their mandates. This process should be hard. It should be slow and deliberate with much debate and thought and consultation with us, We the People. If that means we need to be obstructionists, all the better.

The wealthiest man in the Bible was King Solomon. Along with huge amounts of gold, silver, land, houses, exquisite furnishings and elaborate gifts from numerous foreign leaders, Solomon owned 4,000 chariots, 40,000 horses and 1200 horsemen. Debatable as to whether it was an asset or a liability, Solomon owned 700 wives; just kidding about the “liability” remark ladies.
Clearly, Solomon owned far too much for one man. Obviously, the “fair-minded” citizens of his kingdom surely must have, in protest, organized “Occupy Israel”. I wonder how King Solomon dealt with the angry Occupy Israel protesters and the sympathetic to their cause, Israel Daily Scroll newspaper? We can pretty much guess how King Solomon resolved the matter.
According to the Bible, Solomon's extreme wealth was a gift from God. God gave Solomon an opportunity to ask for whatever he desired. Solomon asked for wisdom to best govern God's people. God was so pleased with Solomon's request, He gave Solomon wisdom, honor and peerless riches.
Occupy Israel protesters must have been outraged and furious by the unfairness of God choosing not to distribute wealth equally.
The biblical concept of God ordained wealth does not jive with the belief of the OWS crowd. OWS signs and interviews confirm they subscribe to the typical liberal belief that man is god; and given proper control can fix everything.
The OWS mob believe all wealth is ill-gotten on the backs of the poor/workers and is therefore evil and MUST be redistributed.
It occurred to me that we have two Americas; a majority which aligns with tea party principles. The second much smaller America is the OWS parasites and Obama administration who embrace a negative view of our great country and a desire to fundamentally transform her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8UtYQ2zKmk
Obama knows how to fire up his base, but is clueless when it comes to communicating with most Americans; people who do not nor desire to view themselves as victims. Due to his roots as a community organizer, Obama feels most comfortable ginning up hate in entitlement victim minded losers well represented in the OWS crowd.
In essence, the democrats took a Chicago community agitator from the local community center to the Illinois Senate. With slick marketing and liberal media support, they successfully sent Obama to Washington to pretend to be president of all Americans.
When you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out because that is what is inside. In other words, pressure reveals what is truly inside a person. Plummeting poll numbers has forced the real Barack Hussein Obama to surface. To fire up his base, Obama dropped the charade of being a post racial unifying president. Obama has resorted to who he truly is and what he knows best how to do; rabble-rouse.
Whenever Obama feels the need to rally his troops, his speech delivery strongly resembles that of a cliche character seen in old Western movies. In the movies, a loud mouth guy addresses a crowd from the steps of the town's jail-house. His goal is to work the crowd into a frenzy; then, get his hate-filled mob to overrule the sheriff, break the law, drag out the prisoner and hang him without a fair trial before the circuit judge arrives on the train the next morning.
What I find so insidious and evil about Obama is his masterful ability to inspire his minions to act badly without dirtying his hands. For example. During the Obamacare debate, Obama instructed his supporters to get in people's faces. http://bit.ly/qFLDxs To strengthen democrat senators in their fight to pass Obamacare, the White House said, “...we will hit back twice as hard”. http://bit.ly/r1hEVT
Around that time, a black conservative was beaten and sent to the emergency room by SEIU thugs. http://bit.ly/ujf0OS
Then there was the time Obama instructed a Hispanic audience to “punish our enemies".http://bit.ly/rnOpQ2 Such language sounds far more like a clarion call by a community agitator rather than the president of the United States.
Obama outrageously said Republicans want, “Dirtier air, dirtier water, less people with health insurance”.His agenda is to portray Republicans as heartless SOBs.http://bit.ly/oyeBvQ
This is what I mean when I say Obama reverts back to his rabble-rousing community agitator days; sounding like the loud mouth guy on the jail-house steps in the movies. The underlying unspoken message coming from Obama and his administration is; those low down dirty Republicans are against you! Republicans want you to die and the rich to live! If I were you, I would not allow them to get away with it! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?!!
I do not think it unfair to suggest much of the Occupy Movement is the result of Obama administration rhetoric.
Barack Hussein Obama is incapable of being an inspirational president to non victim minded mainstream traditional Americans who love their country. It is simply not in his DNA. Obama appeals to the lower nature of a minority of Americans; OWS, arrogant, ungodly, lazy and stupid. As I stated, we have two Americas. We have Obama's America and the America of us patriots.
The greatest nation on the planet deserves and requires a president of “all the people” divinely led to inspire the best in us.

Occupy Grand Junction started 10 days ago. Initially there was a panic among Tea Party activists who felt they had to counter the occupiers by getting a permit for the Old Courthouse location so they could occupy first. I encouraged the opposite. "Stay away from these guys," I suggested. "We don't want any association at all with them. We don't want to be seen in pictures with them and we don't want to share space with them. That would boost their credibility and harm ours. The local Tea Party and Liberty groups took some deep breaths, sat back, and watched the circus unfold.
I went down to the courthouse on the Monday after the sit in began, to drop off my mail-in ballot for our upcoming elections. I was intrigued by the milieu on the grass. There appeared to be a group of "organizers" splayed near the flag pole, planning the days important marches and discussing who should be their medial liaison. There was another group under the trees and pop-up shades who looked just to be sitting about, eating the generous donations of food that local supporters had lavished on them. All were dressed in what is best described as "hippie garb," tie dye, revolutionary slogan tee shirts, bedraggled and dreadlocked, and for the most part, filthy. I walked up to one young man who was wearing a tan hoodie and sporting a scraggly red beard and began to speak to him.
"Why are you here?"
"I am frustrated that no one cares." He replied, an edge of anger in his voice.
"Was there something that happened?"
"My boss fired me for screwing up and order..." he continued. And he told me the tale of how his job as a line chef had ended badly and that he had been "totally screwed-over" by the owner of the restaurant.
"I have friends in town who own restaurants. Would you like me to see if there are any openings?"
He paused, not really wanting to follow up with the obvious conclusion to his sob story--to find another job--but he said, "um, sure."
Another fellow came up to me and the young man with the tan hoodie. He was older, slightly inebriated, and more open to my suggestions.
"Why are you here," I asked the older man.
"Oh, I'm just homeless...laid off my construction job. I come up here because it is safer than where the other homeless guys hang out."
"Are you looking for work?"
"Yes, I have a lot of skills in construction. I can roof and drywall..." and proceeded to give me his resume of work experience.
I told him, "You know what, I will see what kind of construction jobs are open locally and I can bring you the listings. Would that be okay?"
"Oh yeah, that would be so nice of you. I hate this homeless s___!"
He asked if he could walk me to my car and I said "of course." I wished him good luck and promised that I would be back the following day with some job listings.
I returned the next day with some print outs of job listings. I approached the young man with the tan hoodie and asked if he would post them at their "organizer" booth for everyone to see. He seemed a little perplexed and reluctant. But he was kind enough to acknowledge my real desire to help.
I returned the next day with a neat binder full of local job listings, some pens and note pads. The original two men were not present but another man wearing "99%" buttons but otherwise kind of normal looking said he would love to make some money. I told him that I had some hedges that needed to be trimmed. He said he could do that so I got his number. I called him 3 times subsequently but have not gotten a response.
I returned 2 days later with another handful of job listings for the binder. I could not find the binder I had left, so I placed the printouts on the table.
This is an ongoing experiment. If the people at Occupy Grand Junction have any sense of self, any human conscience that impels them to be accountable for their own lives, they will cease the demands that the government steal from earners, to give them what they want. I am hoping that there is a kernel of shame within some of the occupiers. They could turn a little shame and introspection into the power to choose and create a life for themselves. But they languish in a stew of contrived victimization and self-imposed helplessness.
I will return again tomorrow to see if my efforts to point these able bodied fishermen to the waterholes where they can catch their own fish bears any fruit. I wonder if they realize that if they get their way we will all be camped out in the dirt, filthy, and groveling at the feet of big government.
I am submitting a blog that I wrote on an occurrence I suffered while working for a large regional bank. After 3 years of anger, hurt, blame...and seeing how our county is not so sharply divided after the call out from our President "tax the rich", I knew riots would erupt. This president and His administration and his cronies have set back and laughed as they have been apart of division. Remember the birth certificate...it divided the nation, they laughed....remember the debt ceiling crisis...his Friday speech? Everyone did call into their presentative..but, they knew there was already a divided state. Remember the Joplin tornado? Where were Obama and His wife??? Driving beer with his new found relatives. on our money. And now, oh so typical...the Jobs Bill....But see, my belief is that we are still...for a while...ONE NATION UNDER GOD....and He will get the last laugh. For me and my household. I will no longer participate in the hate...but, only unity of one America that is free. As a great leader Martin Luther King said...'FREE AT LAST...FREE AT LAST....GOD ALMIGHTY FREE AT LAST". I just pray and plead with Martin today, please have those words meant for me too Mr. King...I'm white but about to lose my freedom to this socialist dictator. And then the words of our great President Kennedy..."Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country". Mr. President, I tried to do that with www.spark-local.com and with the Spark-Local Stimulus where we as a community should take care of each other. For all those companies who want to be registered on a national directory as "MADE IN AMERICA" I'm here for you and I am not going to waste your money...I will promote the transparency heart out of you...I will make you shine and show that capitalism works at the lowest level of our economy...I promote you and will not allow your ad to sit and gather dust. You are MADE IN AMERCIA and I am proud of you...I believe as a business owner that you have to hire people and treat people with respect and dignity. I came up with my own internal motto: HEALTHY WORKERS + HEALTHY MANAGERS = HEALTHY PROFITS. I hope to never treat people the way I was treated...never...My Blog for the archives…it is time to move on and help a great cause…The Tea PartyTJs Integrity Unlimited ListMONDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2010We Operate With IntegrityWe Operate With IntegrityThese words, ‘We Operate With Integrity’ has stayed with me since the first incident on February 13, 2009 when in the office of my manager and in one of our so called “one on ones”, I was delivered a set of performance sentences from another department that were clearly not mine. And the one simple fact was, I was not that engaged with the department that my manager said they were from. So, the reader may say, “So what?” why make a big deal about it? Managers lie all the time, there is nothing you can do. But, I kept telling myself, “yea, but, the companies motto is “We Operate with Integrity”. I could not let it go. But, now, at the close of 2010, with a restraining ordered over my head from the company, without insurance, without a job and the future looking bleak after an interview with a temporary service yesterday requiring that I obtain 3 references from this institution, I ask myself “Why Terry, why would you ever have thought this bank would operate with Integrity? Why did you just keep telling yourself that in the end, truth would come out….why is such an idiot?”It has been hell for me since that day and also for my family and friends. By not letting go of just trying to get the simple question answered, “Where did these sentences come from?”, I obsessed night and day with only the end result of losing about everything that that I held near and dear. Family has stayed with me, certain others in my fellowship, and also those close friends who have only showed me unconditional love has stood with me through this whole ordeal. I have met some incredible people of whom I refer to as the heroes of work place bullying. Because it is an epidemic that is sweeping the workplace. As my EEOC investigator told me when I found out the truth about where the sentences came from, he said, “So what – they can do what they want?” Wow…did that ever hit like a ton of bricks.I filled an internal grievance and here is what happened’ me, alone had to sit with; manager, manager, HR Rep; higher level manager, HR Rep; me alone with the department manager of where the accusations came from – she is the only one who told the truth; proceeded to the highest level management and HR rep; after I signed off on the grievance, my management, both females, found another female to engage and the next thing I knew – I had a written warning with one of the statements was that I “threatened them”. This was enough for the EEOC to file a charge against the bank for reverse discrimination. Then, again, alone, because I did not have the funds for a lawyer, my meetings proceeded with me, alone, with; HR rep, internal lawyer, EEOC moderator, then, surprisingly enough on the day of reentry – SURPRISE, the bank had brought in outside counsel. So, being and knowing that I did not have council, it was me + HR Rep + internal lawyer + outside council and the ever so caring EEOC moderator. By that time, you would have thought I would have got the clue that this bank has no idea what it means to Operate with Integrity. It was apparent that they wanted to sweep everything under the rug. But, although they were just sentences, it was a matter of “fraud”. All I could think about was, what else are they sweeping under the rug?Well, the lawyers said that my management was afraid I was going to “harm them”, so, I would not be allowed back in. They were not going to try to find me another position; they wanted me and my crusade for justice out of their sight. So, after having no council I signed a bogus agreement and left, but, before leaving, I said the following words directed to the HR rep…..”You know, this type of harassment by these female managers was demonstrated by two other male employees before me, and you knew about it. One of the males was so beaten down that you did not know what he would do with himself, the other was so angry from the treatment, you did not know what he would do…I continued and said; “There will be one, it is not me because I am out of there, but one that will be pushed in the corner and he/she will have no where to turn and he will either harm themselves, their families, their management or go as far as harming their team.” She just looked at me…no care for what I said. Just – “Get Out!”This should have been the final chapter and all would have been well. But, after the time lapse for the severance ran out, I still had no job and the bank denied my unemployment causing hardship for 9 weeks until it was restated. I went into foreclosure, on the brink of bankruptcy, had two deaths, one being a close friend and then a sister that I will never forget…and after some desperate attempts, a mistake by me for some type of justice from this bank. Two days after my sister’s death, I received two restarting orders from the bank. The two were to appear in a Kansas court and then a Missouri court. Oh how we operate with integrity.I have struggled in closing out this chapter. I tried to start a blog on the concept that Jesus says to turn the other cheek and titled it “HEALTHY WORKERS + HEALTHY MANGERS = HEALTHY PROFITS” and then, I wanted to start a blog that demonstrated his anger when he overthrew the money changers tables in the temple and it was called’ “BUSTING THE BULLIES BALLS”, where, I wanted to flat out name the company so that customers who might trade with them would take a second thought as to if they wanted to do business with them or not.In both cases, I had to ask myself….”Terry, are you operating with integrity?” And sadly, no….I was not. I wanted revenge and still have that little seed in me. But, I am a man of faith who struggles with waiting on God. For God says; “vengeance is mine….I will repay.”2011 shows some hope and light in my life. I am trying to obtain a masters certification in entrepreneurship and open up my own business. I am hoping to help out with the healthy workplace bill by passing it in all states for the protection of employees in AT WILL STATES. And other ventures to keep me occupied, happy and productive. I doubt if I regain the confidence of friends that feel to the wayside but I tell you what, I will stay loyal to those who stayed loyal to me, because, I think I found the core of those who truly “Operate with Integrity”, and sometimes, we miss it. This blog is dedicated to the ones who stay loyal through the hell that others who are being bullied to the state of exhaustion. This blog is to say thank you for staying in their with all the obsessions, tears and fears. Thank you for you truly is the ones I call friends….you truly show what Operating with Integrity is all about. It is sad that companies around this nation cannot learn by your example. But regardless…..thank you for by your example, I will go forward with my business and with all prayers behind me….always strive - to Operate with IntegrityPosted by Terry Alan Jones at 8:48 AMEmail This BlogThis! The one thing I will always miss from the whole event, is the laughter I shared with my management at one time in one place where joy filled the air.I do not want to perpetrate division, strife or contention, but, as we all know the pressures in the work place are forever increasing and most have forgotten the old days of going to work, be respected and to respect others and to always strive to be honest and true. With this said, it is time for the American Worker to speak up concerning the conditions of the workplace and to stand up for safety. I am hoping that we will never hear the words from an EEOC Investigator stating that employers in At Will States "can do whatever they want". And for companies who proclaim safety and integrity stay true to their word. This blog has one purpose and that purpose is to gather a list from workers and managers to come up with what I call TJs Integrity Unlimited List. It is a simple list of the voice of the American Workers asking for safety, honor and respect in the work place.Let's take our voice to the streets - for it is time to stand up and declare both employees and managers - We Operate with Integrity - We care for one another and support one another in all our affairs at work.Bring back honor in the work place. Bring back respect for the individual. Believe it - we can all care for one another in the days and years ahead.December 31, 2010 7:03 AMAnonymous said...1. For years, I have been impressed with this young man I see working at Walmart retrieving shopping carts in the parking lot. He is challenged, I suspect from birth, with physical issues involving an arm and a leg. I saw him leaving work one evening in his car. While I do not know his living situation, I do know he has a job and drives what I assume is his own car.
Looking at this young man hobbling around doing his job, one could think, “Why isn't this poor soul home collecting disability?” He obviously prefers the dignity which accompanies earning his own money. Thus, the reason for my utmost respect for him.
Then, I look at the Occupy Wall Street despicable mobs; spoiled brat college students, America hating Marxists, paid professional protesters and plain old lazy bottom feeders, all demanding freebies while claiming ownership of the fruit of other folk's labor. And the left expects me to respect and sympathize with these parasites.
The liberal media, the left and the Obama administration are trying to convince us these ignorant arrogant Occupy Wall Street knuckleheads represent the thinking of most Americans. If their premise were true, we would be in deep, deep trouble as a nation. Fortunately, these mobs are NOT a majority.
Like parents who are in denial protecting a juvenile delinquent child, the left is doing everything in their power to portray these violent, destructive, anti-Semitic and ungodly Occupy Wall Street thugs in a positive light. Meanwhile, the left remains relentless in their quest to slander the tea party with false undocumented accusations of racism and violence.
The Tea Party movement which is driven by “We The People” is the polar opposite of the George Soros and far left organizations funded Occupy Wall Street assault on Capitalism and America. How dare they compare their low rent “trashy movement” to the dignified Tea Party.
As a Tea Party activist/performer who has traveled on five Tea Party Express national bus tours, I have attended over 300 tea parties. I can assure you the well-informed, hard working and decent people who attend tea parties represent the thinking of a majority of Americans, not the Occupy Wall Street mobs.
While Occupy Wall Street participants trash, vandalize and disrespect public parks and government buildings, we tea party patriots leave our rally sites the way we found them or cleaner. The Tea Party is inspired by love for America and a desire to follow our Constitution. It is also in rebellion of political correctness and about restoring values and principles which have made America great. Tea Party goals are far superior to Occupy Wall Street which proclaims, “You rich guys have too much and we're takin' it!”
Occupy Wall Street is nothing more than a vile orgy of class envy, covetousness and hatred of achievers.
You Occupy losers need to get a clue, a life and a job!
As usual the liberal progressive socialist Marxist's have got it wrong. They are currently ranting and raving about bankers, investors, corporate CEO's, etc., who based on their performance and guidance, reap the rewards of their fiscal acumen. Most of these perceived "Robber Barons" are paid on the profitability of said corporations they run. They in essence get paid on the value of their work not the volume or lack there of like most of the unions thugs and Democratic politicians and communist idealists like the Hollywood crowd that now join their ranks.
The problem with the government educated useless idiots that "Occupy Wall Street" cannot be summed up in a few words, because they themselves, as all "useless idiots" are, are a mob with a mob mentality not a singular view point. Their anti-American progressive socialist behavior is too deeply rooted. It has been hammered into them by a corrupted education system that since the formation of the Dept. of Education by the Socialist Ruling Class Elites has focused entirely on indoctrinating this Nations youth into their dogma. They have spent the last 144 years creating it.
They have also created the greatest system of corrupted crony capitalism that has been intentionally ignored by the main sewer media and have profited by it, unfettered by legal restraint or legislative restrictions for BILLIONS of dollars. Yes that is correct there is no legal restraints on any member of congress or their staff or the White House and its staff from trading on information on pending legislation!
The following is a report by Securities Docket originally published by Compliance Week.
In the days leading up to Nov. 16, 2005, the stock prices and trading volumes of several companies with asbestos-related liabilities including USG Corp., W.R. Grace & Co., and Crown Holdings, began to spike up in an otherwise flat market. No publicly available news about these companies or the industry explained the increases in price and volume.
What the public did not yet know—but what was known to certain investors with political connections—was that on Nov. 16, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist would deliver a speech announcing new legislation to relieve companies such as USG Corp. and others of their liabilities in asbestos-related lawsuits.
The asbestos legislation is an example of the effect that Congressional action can sometimes have on a stock’s price, and also of the potential for insider trading based on that knowledge of non-public information. Notably, and to the surprise of most people, no laws or regulations prohibit members of Congress (or their friends, staff, neighbors, or other acquaintances) from trading freely on such material, non-public information about a public company.
Indeed, members of Congress and their staff currently do not owe any “duty of confidentiality” to Congress and can’t be held liable for insider trading based on congressional knowledge under the current laws. Nor is there anything at this time that would prohibit Congressional staffers and executive branch employees from sharing inside information obtained from Congress with their friends—potentially allowing the recipients of such information to use it to make huge trading profits or prevent big losses. That means trading on inside knowledge of upcoming Congressional action is today one of the few forms of legal, repeatable insider trading (see my December 2008 column for a list of the others).
An academic study released in 2004, as well as some other more recent developments, indicates that this Congressional loophole to the insider trading laws isn’t just theoretical. Georgia State University professor Alan Ziobrowski released a study showing that during the 1990s, senators’ stock picks (which must be publicly disclosed periodically) beat the market by 12 percentage points a year on average. By comparison, corporate insiders only beat the market by about 6 percentage points a year, and U.S. households underperformed the market by 1.4 percentage points.
Ziobrowski and his colleagues concluded their findings “suggest that senators are trading stock based on information that is unavailable to the public, thereby using their unique position to increase their personal wealth …” Ziobrowski later was quoted as stating that, in his opinion, “there is cheating going on.”
There were also published reports in the wake of the study that the Securities and Exchange Commission had reviewed the findings, but decided not to pursue the issue because such cases would be difficult to prove. Critics, however, observed that a more cynical explanation for the SEC’s decision to do nothing might lie in the fact that the U.S. Senate is responsible for approving SEC commissioners and the agency’s budget.
In September 2008, U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus of Alabama, the ranking Republican on the House Financial Services Committee, drew criticism for his trading of short-term put and call options in 2007, including a single transaction on Dec. 10 that netted him $15,000. He’d held that particular investment for just two weeks, and sold it on the same day that the company’s stock price surged following its announcement that it would acquire a competitor. Bachus’ trading in 2007 reportedly allowed him to supplement his $165,200 annual congressional salary by $160,000 that year.
There’s more: Tony Rudy, a staffer for former House Minority Leader Tom DeLay, was suspected of consistently trading based on material, non-public legislative information. While a DeLay staffer, Rudy reportedly traded hundreds of thousands of shares of stock from his work computer in 1999 and 2000.
Failure and Reform
It’s hard to come up with any compelling reason why trading based on Congressional knowledge should remain legal, and quite easy to build the case against it. Still, despite a situation that cries out for legislation to end this loophole, recent efforts to pass a bill that would do just that have gone nowhere. In January, U.S. Reps. Louise Slaughter and Brian Baird introduced—for the third time—legislation intended to stop insider trading on Capitol Hill called the “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act” (the STOCK Act). Slaughter and Baird also introduced similar bills in 2006 and 2007, without success.
Slaughter and Baird have persisted, however, and Baird recently stated that he considers the legislation to be more important than ever as the government prepares to direct billions of dollars into the economy through the Troubled Asset Relief Program. The STOCK Act of 2009 (H.R. 682) would, among other things, amend Section 10 of the Securities Exchange Act and Section 4(c) of the Commodities Exchange Act to:
prohibit members of Congress, employees of Congress, or executive branch employees from buying or selling stocks, bonds, or commodities futures based on non-public information they obtain because of their status;
prohibit those outside Congress from buying or selling stocks, bonds, or commodities futures based on non-public information obtained from within Congress or the executive branch;
prohibit Congressmen and employees from disclosing any non-public information about any pending or prospective legislative action obtained from a member or employee of Congress for investment purposes; and
require members of Congress and employees to report the purchase, sale, or exchange of any stock, bond, or commodities future transaction in excess of $1,000 within 90 days.
It would also require firms that sell “political intelligence” and obtain their information directly from Congress to register with the House and Senate, and to make disclosures much like lobbying firms are now required to do.
There are arguments against the STOCK Act, but none strike me as particularly strong. One is that the law is unnecessary because congressmen already have a duty preventing them from trading on inside information that derives from some combination of common law relationships, agreements to maintain information in confidence, and a history of sharing confidences. But it’s difficult to see this ill-defined and never-before applied “duty” serving as the basis of a future insider trading case against a congressman.
Another practical limit on Congressional insider trading may lie in the concept of “democratically accountability”—that Congressmen must publicly disclose their trading activity, and their constituents will take note and vote them out of office if they appear to be engaging in insider trading. This, too, seems like a weak argument. If we really want to deter insider trading flowing from Congressional knowledge, legislation seems like a much more effective and direct means of doing so.
If anything, the more interesting arguments against the STOCK Act are that it isn’t strong enough. While the STOCK Act amends the rules of the House of Representatives to prohibit disclosure of material, non-public information to others, for some reason it does not similarly amend the rules of the Senate. In addition, while corporate executives must publicly disclose their securities transactions within just two business days under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the STOCK Act gives members of Congress the luxury of a full 90 days to do so.
Finally, the STOCK Act places greater restrictions on federal employee insider trading than on congressional insider trading: While it broadly prohibits federal employees from trading securities based on material non-public information relating to the issuer of the securities, it only prohibits insider trading by Congressmen with respect to “any pending or prospective legislative action relating to such issuer …”
In short, a loophole currently allows members of Congress and their “tippees” to engage in legal insider trading based on what they learn from their elected positions. The only way to close this loophole is for the very people that benefit from the loophole to close it themselves.
So far, however, the efforts of Representatives Slaughter and Baird to end this loophole have gone nowhere, and there is nothing to indicate that Round 3 of their attempt to “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge” will have any greater success. With hundreds of billions (if not trillions) of dollars of federal money poised to gush into the economy by the U.S. government, now seems like the perfect time to pass legislation such as the STOCK Act.
This is just one instance in what has been a carte blanche behavior that has led to the greatest wealth growth by percentile of any group of people in this country. While average households have lost money they have had returns of at least 185% above the net average. And it is not just our elected officials who are prospering while we suffer, here is a copy of an article from the Wall Street Journal from Oct. 11, 2010 that goes into length on one individual who recently doubled his $3500 investment in a solar stock.
So the Occupy Wall Street useless idiots are going after all the evil institutions with the support of the real thieves that besides the aforementioned personal gains through if not illegal, immoral behavior, are guilty of the single greatest act of outright theft in this countries history!Where is the 4.7 trillion dollars that was with interest, paid into the Social Security trust fund that they were entrusted to safeguard for the trustees?
The Democratic party with the use of the "Great Society" legislation stole every single cent plus all of the potential earned interest from said funds to create and fund the destruction of our Republic and its society. They used those funds to create the following bureaucracies and the entitlement programs which have not only failed the people they were "supposed" to help but instead enslaved them. Starting in 1965 and going forward they have used those "trust fund" dollars to create and fund the Dept. of Health and Human Services to create Medicaid which is bankrupting Medicare and almost every state in the union. The food stamp program which is overseen and funded by the Dept. of Agriculture where it is now 80% of their budget. The Dept. of Housing and Urban Development ( originally the Public Works Administration) which led to the great Housing Projects fiasco that many cities are still cleaning up, also the section 8 voucher program paying hundreds to thousands of dollars to individuals to subsidize or pay in full their rent. The Dept. of Energy and within it the low income utility subsidy for section 8 housing occupants. The list is so large that the subsidized programs created by Johnson and the Democrat party with this legislation would take up several hundred pages. In just the years since our government passed this legislation it has grown by 400% while our population has grown by 30% .
The Cronies who have been willful participants with the criminals factually identified in the information here today, and are just as guilty as the politicians who have benefited from their largess and contributions. They deserve to be punished as much as, if not more so then the politicians themselves, because they are even more duplicitous and create the fiscal opportunities by which the others have prospered. They have used their financial positions to subvert and subjugate this countries free market and replace it with a centrally planned economy run by a socialist autocracy where we have lost our freedom and created the useless idiots who now protest them.
The useless idiots that occupy Wall Street are being used and manipulated by the Democrat party and their co-conspirators because their whole agenda for America is being repudiated by overwhelming numbers and they are now in full damage control mode. They need a villain besides themselves and when your entire modus operandi is based on the Marxist socialist model, you use class and racial warfare to vilify your enemy and hide your fear. You identify a group or class and keep lying about them until you incite mob reaction and then foster that reaction with your thug army. You use your propaganda to create a false persona of the offensive behavior or action or completely repudiate and lie about the obvious actions or words from those you support. You infiltrate the mob with your manipulators to direct and focus the mob into following and implementing your agenda. You use your media personalities that can communicate your message without being eviscerated by the media. You continue to incite violence or rebellious behavior without overtly implicating yourself or your agenda.
This was used with great effect in 1917 to oust the last Monarchy from Russia and start the reign of communist rule with 80 million people paying the price with their lives.
This worked well in 1932 Germany and helped elect a little known former convicted political agitator by the name of Adolf Hitler.
I hope it does not come to this but as long as we have the criminals in this country untouched by the law and hiding behind the same Constitution that they are bent on destroying, then we must be ready to fight for our Freedoms and our lives if necessary.

The same old arguments keep surfacing. Decades of debate have settled nothing. Why? Because those who want to redistribute your wealth and those who hope to receive that wealth (and many of those who should be aware of them and their nonsense) are too lazy or too stupid to learn from history. They prefer instead to learn from opium-pipe dreams based upon their “virtue” being ultimately rewarded by “a gentler, more just society” (created precisely to reward only those who believe precisely as they do). When the voters stay willfully ignorant of history, they keep electing and re-electing the same monsters who’ve destroyed our nation’s prospects year after year after year over the last century.
Because Americans don’t know the history of the financial collapse, they are repeating the same mistakes that got us into it and kept destroying the economy for the last 45 years. Back when the Black Panthers and the hippies were literally setting the world afire in the early 70’s, a Black FBI undercover agent spent some time with the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and the Weather Underground and the Black Panthers. The SDS wanted a revolution. After The Revolution people like them would be in charge everywhere and the kinder, gentler American nation would be in place operating under neo-Marxist principles. When the FBI operative acted like a confused neophyte and asked “what would happen next once their victory had been won?” He was told that a “re-education of everybody in the country opposed to their new system would begin and people would all come to understand and appreciate them and their better ways. When he pressed the question further and further he was told “Yes, sadly it’s true there are some people who will “never get it” and might have to be imprisoned or even killed. “ How many? “Oh, perhaps 10-15%.” That’s a huge price for kinder-gentler wealth distribution.
Thirty-two years ago Milton Friedman was interviewed by a very young Phil Donahue who asked him “When you see around the globe the mal-distribution of wealth; the desperate plight of millions of people in under-developed countries; when you see so few ‘haves’ and so many ‘have nots; when you see the greed and the concentration of power; didn’t you ever have a moment’s doubt about capitalism and whether ‘GREED’s’ a good idea to run (things) on?” Tell me that’s not a question of import!
That took 24 seconds for Phil. With little interruption Friedman took exactly the next 120 seconds to set the record straight and to disarm Donahue’s and his audiences’ predisposition toward that buzzword “Greed” and toward another buzzword Donahue uttered later “VIRTUE” when Donahue added “But it seems to reward not virtue but ability to manipulate the system . . . .” That’s the content of the first video linked above.
If you want to know how the United States of America got into its present god-awful economic situation . . . it’s called street theater. Saul Alinsky author of Rules for Radicals and Reveille for Radicals laid out all the ground rules on how to make a scene; get it aired in the media and then create bogus advances for neo-Marxism. More on how today’s actions tie into the financial mess later. Here’s the second video linked above you NEED to Watch:
He was immaculately dressed and kneeling in the street in front of Chase Bank. “Right there, right there, that’s the bank that took my parents’ homes. Take me, I submit, it’s just not right! I’m going to be arrested, take me!” Wow, it all seemed so incredible and all the network media (MSM) ran the story without investigating. Then when the story was flat-out refuted; surprise the MSM forgot to clue its viewers on to the fact that they had allowed themselves to be shamefully used by this punk born with a silver-spoon in his mouth.
Barack Obama’s willingness to lie to America’s voters in order to get re-elected seems to be catching on. One of the most clear-cut areas where lying is par for the course is on display today during the “Days of Rage”; and “Occupy Wall Street” protests. One of those darling kids kneeling in the street in front of Wall Street firms and large banks really pulled a “Barack” of prodigious grandiosity as part of the left’s so-called “Days of Rage” protests. Shouting out that the bank was “taking my parents’ home” as he was arrested; he made quite a scene for the mainstream media (MSM) cameras. Only problem: it was all theater, a lie! A lie his mother later refuted.
No bank is taking his parents’ home; and the bank in question has nothing to do with his parents. His parents both hold Master’s degrees and their half-a-million home is only $60,000 from being entirely theirs. Oh, and the kid himself? He attends an exclusive law school. All this information came courtesy of his mother refuting the scene the little bugger made on national TV. In other words the protestor’s (Robert Stephens’) story is (surprise!) completely bogus.
County property records reveal that the Stephens’ home has never beenin foreclosure. The taxes on the huge home are paid and amount to almost exactly what a year at his law school costs the family. The family did take a financial hit when the meltdown came and they are selling their home for a bit less than they originally wanted. Oh, and the mother, Marquita Stephens, said they probably wouldn’t stay in their St. Paul Minnesota suburb because the area is “a bit too conservative.”
What’s all that got to do with the price of tea and TEA Party actions in this tumultuous world? The thesis of this blog is the undoubtable fact that the same old arguments keep surfacing. Decades of debate have settled nothing. Why?Because those who want to redistribute your wealth and those who expect to receive that wealth (and many of those who should be aware of them and their nonsense) are too lazy or too stupid to learn from history. They prefer instead to learn from opium pipe dreams based upon their “virtue” being ultimately rewarded by “a gentler, more just society” (created precisely to reward only those who believe precisely as they do). When the voters stay willfully ignorant of history, they keep electing and re-electing the same monsters who’ve destroyed our nation’s prospects year after year after year over the last century.**
But just because they’re too stupid and lazy to learn from history doesn’t mean YOU can’t gain from it. As mentioned Saul Alinsky is the father of today’s problems. If 70% of Americans knew and understood these pieces of history, 95% of the problems are nation now faces could be soon eliminated.
1. Alinsky was a self-described “neo-Marxist” Chicago area community organizer with two infamous books on “effective” radical behavior on his resume`. Based upon Alinsky’s street theater and idea of creating crises to make your point resonate within the mainstream media (MSM) so as to get your story before the public. Even before Alinsky wrote his second book, at Columbia University (NYC) two sociology professors, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven (married to each other), decided Alinsky’s ideas could be the basis of profound shifts in the American scene based upon their admittedly Communist/Socialist view of life.
Some important background: in 1964 the nation was then undergoing President Lyndon Baines Johnson’s great society program and the much-ballyhooed “War on Poverty.” One good thing was accomplished: the Civil Rights Act was passed. Two good-sounding things were also accomplished Medicare and the state and federal combination called Medicaid were created. These programs would never actually be funded as the law required – their supposed “lockboxes” were raided constantly over the years and today the UNfunded liability from these two programs is roughly $65 TRillion. In addition all then current welfare programs were expanded and the welfare rolls swelled.
2.Cloward and Piven wrote an article in the May, 1966 edition of the leftist magazine The Nation titled The Weight of the Poor: a Strategy to Eliminate Poverty. The article was based upon Alinsky’s ideas and methods and called for creating a welfare crisis. Because of the crisis, the article said, the Democratic Congress (both House and Senate) would feel compelled to create a GNI (guaranteed national income) and POOF-ABRACADABRA! Poverty would be eliminated over-night. This article became the rage everywhere leftist ideas were discussed. Cloward and Piven and a man named George Wiley took the idea further.
3.Wiley, Piven and Cloward created the NWRO (National Welfare Rights Organization) in late 1967 and by 1968 were so well organized that their people were engaging in street theater across the nation. By 1973 the welfare rolls had doubled from eight million to sixteen million recipients. They never got their GNI. What they got was the worst economic down-turn since the Great Depression and a stock market collapse of almost exactly 24 months duration. What they got was the bankruptcy of their hometown New York City. What they got was the near bankruptcy of several other large cities around the nation; the near bankruptcy of New York State and New Jersey and Illinois and financial chaos in many other states and large cities. Wiley, Cloward and Piven in print and otherwise publicly bragged about the great thing they’d accomplished. They advised their followers that their next attacks would come in housing and voter registration.
4.In 1976 progressive Democrat Jimmy Carter and a Democratic House and Congress were put into office. Within weeks of taking office in January, 1977, they created the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA ’77) which for the first time FORCED banks and mortgage companies to knowingly make horrendously bad loans to totally unqualified home loan applicants. The free market was ended for the mortgage industry. At that time only 0.24% were considered “suspect,” that is granted with less than 3% down payment. About the same time, a Cloward-Piven, Wiley Lieutenant from the welfare wars (sent to Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1970)Wade Rathke, was assigned the task of creating a strategic way to exploit this new chink in America’s armor in Alinsky fashion. ACORN was born. Besides destroying capitalism directly, CRA law aimed to massively redistribute wealth. The twisted thinking went something like this: America has (64%) the highest private home ownership in the world, but it’s not enough. Everybody SHOULD own their own home. Besides home prices never go down so if we put poor people into homes, even if they can’t afford them, they can always sell and make a profit that way and thus gain a larger slice of the pie.^^
5.In 1977 ACORN stood for Arkansas Community Organizations for Reform Now. Arkansas was chosen for three reasons: Rathke was GOOD at his work; Bill Clinton was the most up-and-coming young politician in the country and he lived in Arkansas and he was ambitious and his wife Hillary was not only ambitious but she was a Chicago girl and a favorite student of Saul Alinsky who even wrote her college thesis on Alinsky techniques. Cloward and Piven and Wiley had chosen wisely . . . and the nightmare we’re living today attests to it.
6.ACORN gathered voter registration forms in a get-out-the-vote campaign across the state then promptly threw away all those who hadn’t registered as Democrats. Lieutenant Governor Bill Clinton won easily and won the right for he and Hillary to live in the governor’s mansion. They would do so for 12 of the next 14 years; and Bill would become the first ACORN president after the elections of 1992. Meanwhile Rathke’s work with CRA was bearing slow, steady and sure fruit. By 1985 the ACORN street-theater in Arkansas alone (a la Alinsky) had doubled the nation’s suspect home loan rate. Now 0.51% of the nation’s mortgages were granted at 3% or less down payment. ACORN was expanded to all 50 states and became the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. The nightmare was alive and well.
7.Bill Clinton took the Oval Office in January, 1993. Two of his first acts rewarded ACORN’s and Cloward and Piven’s work in his behalf. The Motor Voter Act was passed with Cloward and Piven standing behind him in the signing ceremony as you see here . . . .http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/01/what_the_dems_know_universal_v.html
Motor Voter has been called “a twelve-lane highway to voter fraud” and ACORN has been found guilty repeatedly of voter registration fraud over the years. Clinton also made a dramatic expansion of CRA ’77 law by presidential edict. He would continue that fiat expansion of CRA for eight years. In 1975 Clinton twice fooled the Republicans and passed moderate legislative expansions of CRA ’77. In 1998 he passed a monster steroid expansion of CRA laws.
8.Two brief side notes . . . you may have noticed the term “community organizations” as part of the ACORN name. Alinsky was the most famous community organizer in history until Barack Obama came along. Obama was an ACORN lawyer for roughly two years in Chicago from 1994-96. He shook down and extorted cooperation with ACORN from numerous lenders in Chicago. He was famous for getting the banks to agree to donate a little on the side for ACORN operating costs. While Clinton was steroid-expanding CRA, Texas governor George W. Bush passed a law in 1998 requiring all mortgages in Texas to require 20% down (typically 85% of all loans are granted with 15%-25% down payment). Bush’s decision kept Texas prosperous and the site of an awful large percentage of the nation’s job growth to this day.
9.The rest is history. Fueled by Clinton’s steroid version expansion of CRA ’77 ACORN now found it easier to put actually impoverished home loan applicants into $440,000 homes in the 21st Century than they had been able to put better qualified (but still unqualified) applicants into $110,000 homes a decade earlier. By 2005 the “suspect loans” in this country amounted to 34.2% of all home mortgages.
Many of the new wave of borrowers were granted 0% (zero percent!) down payments. Many of them had no jobs; a horrible credit rating; their only listed “income” (thanks to Clinton’s steroid-expansion) was food stamps; and even illegal aliens were put into $300,000-$350,000 homes. To protect themselves the banks wrapped the mortgages together in a package and tried to sell them. Because the law required government agencies to be involved a lot of “bad paper” was bought up by foolish investors, Wall Street, and even other banks and insurance agencies. It all came crashing down about October, 2008 after a year of financial malaise.
10.President George W. Bush made a speech in January, 2005 warning about the “sub-prime lending” fiasco and seeking to pass a repeal of virtually all the CRA legislation. Eighteen Bush speeches and thirty months later a watered-down bi-partisan repeal of parts of CRA law was passed in July, 2007. It proved too little and too late as far as stopping the financial collapse, but it did enough to keep home prices from plummeting far, far faster and lower.
11. Barack Obama today often talks about the “financial mess” he “inherited” and blames the economy being driven into the ditch upon Conservatives, the G.O.P., Wall Street, and even the free market itself. It took seven years for Cloward and Piven and Wiley to bankrupt New York City by welfare fraud. It took 30 years for the progressives to ruin the free market sufficiently to bring on this collapse and bankrupt the whole nation and they want you to vote for them in 2012 because they say somebody else drove the country into the ditch.
Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,
Rajjpuut
** Our first Progressive president was Teddy Roosevelt. Thankfully, his progressivism was mildly megalomaniacal and not economically-based compared to the control-the-economy progressives to come. Woodrow Wilson, Herbert Hoover, FDR, LBJ, Jimmy Carter, Clinton and Obama are the worst pure progressives we’ve seen in the Oval Office. Progressivism as a doctrine jumped the Atlantic from England where the Fabian Socialists called for things like euthanasia and eugenics.
Progressives are Marxists who do NOT believe in violent revolution until much later in the process but rather expect to make incremental gains in socialism over the decades until the scene is set and they can exploit matters. Rajjpuut’s definition of progressives: Progressives believe in the doctrine that “we must progress beyond the ‘ill-conceived and outdated U.S. Constitution’ to make progress toward an earthly (Marxist) Utopia.”
By the way, a lady named Ayn Rand had lived through creation of the Soviet society in Russia and knew and understood history enough that she wrote a three-part novel called Atlas Shrugged. That book’s prophetic powers are now 85% confirmed with more history unfolding every day. And Part I of that novel was made into a superb movie which this month came out on DVD. Every reasonable and intelligent American who believes in fiscal responsibility and Constitutional-fidelity should own this wonderful movie.
^^ It was also a direct attack on Capitalism as the driving engine of the American Dream. The people who rent homes and apartments tend to be hard-workers who live frugally and save and use that method to move ahead economically. Landlords tend to be such people. Destroying this opportunity is criminal. What is so wrong about renting anyway? It sure beats living with so many of the headaches homeowners now are living through. And the author of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad financial advice books told us a decade ago that a home is a liability and NOT to be considered an investment as most people believe.
