This question, which has never been raised about other groups... manifests a double standard against the Jewish people. It must not be ignored. Here is my answer. When I hear that Jews are too powerful, my response is, we are not powerful enough. When I hear that AIPAC is too influential a lobby, I say it must become even more influential. When I hear that Jews contribute too much money to support pro-Israel causes, I say we must contribute more. When I hear that Jews control the media, I ask "Why is so much of the media so anti-Israel?" When I hear that Jews have too much influence on the outcome of elections, I say we need to increase our influence. We aren't doing enough. We must do more. Jews have contributed enormously -- disproportionately -- to America's success. Along with other immigrants, Jews have helped change our country for the better: academically, scientifically, economically, politically, militarily, medically, legally, technologically and in so many other ways. We have earned the right to act as first-class citizens. No other group is ever accused of having too much power and influence. That false claim -- dating back to times and places where Jews had little or no influence -- is an anti-Semitic trope that tells us more about the anti-Semites who invoke it that it does about the Jews. History has proven that Jews need more power and influence than other groups to secure their safety. During the 1930s and early 1940s Jews had morality on their side, but they lacked the power and influence to save six million of their brothers and sisters from systematic murder. If Israel had existed then, with the powerful army it now has, the history of European Jewry might well have been different. If Jews had more political power in the United States during that time, the doors of our nation would not have been shut to our brothers and sisters seeking asylum from Nazism...

Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke of the danger of a nuclear Iran... and steps the United States could take to quell this threat: Iran and the threat of a nuclear Iran, I believe is the gravest national security threat facing the United States. And the gravest threat facing Israel. We need to be using maximum pressure…You know right now in the administration there are debates about what maximum pressure means. And indeed, there are folks within some agencies that are resisting where the President and the administration want to go. One of the things I think we need to do is end the oil waivers. End them now. No more oil waivers. Cruz’s emphasis on eliminating Iranian oil waivers highlights a contentious debate brewing over how best to deal with America’s withdrawal from the Iran Deal and how much pressure to apply on Iran’s repressive regime. Waivers have been used as a balm to protect Iran from economic collapse following President Trump’s exit from the Iran Deal and the swift reinstatement of sanctions this past November. The Trump administration has expressed aims of removing Iranian crude exports entirely from the market very soon, but arguments within the State Department questioning the feasibility of such an aim have garnered suspicion. Since November, the reinstating of oil sanctions alone under Trump have resulted in a loss of $10 billion in revenue for the Iranian regime, as roughly 1.5 million barrels per day (bpd) of Iranian crude oil have been taken out of the global marketplace. Germany refuses to disclose Iranian attempts

to buy nuclear, missile technology

{jpost.com} The German foreign ministry declined to reveal statistics covering illegal Iranian efforts to secure nuclear and missile technology across Europe... according to a March 18 ministry letter reviewed by The Jerusalem Post. “A statistic in the field of foreign trade is not kept at the German customs criminal office,” in connection with the Iranian regime’s attempts to obtain the technology, wrote German state minister Niels Annen in the letter. FoxNews.com reported on Germany’s concealment of important data that could establish Iranian regime violations of the 2015 nuclear deal – formally called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) – and sanctions targeting the Islamic Republic’s missile program. In late February, the German Left Party sent a parliamentary query to the federal government, asking for the number of cases, inquiries and the results covering Iran’s violations of sanctions conducted by Germany’s customs criminal office between 2015 and 2018. The social democratic deputy foreign minister Niels Annen – who is considered sympathetic to Iran’s clerical regime and celebrated the Iranian revolution in late February at Tehran’s embassy in Berlin – wrote that the government’s disclosure policy has not changed. On Monday, the Supreme Court refused to consider a request from a foreign-owned mystery company fighting a grand jury subpoena issued as part of the special counsel’s Russia investigation. The company, identified in court documents as “Corporation A” owned by “Country A,” has run now out of appeals and will finally have to face the music for meddling in America’s political process. The justices did not explain why they refused to hear the company’s appeal, and there were no dissenting opinions among the nine-member court. The Supreme Court requires the approval of just four justices to hear a case. Lawyers representing the overseas firm argued that the corporation could not be subject to a subpoena under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. The company is entirely owned by a foreign government which contended that responding to the subpoena would break its own country’s laws. A district court wasn’t buying the lawyers’ sovereign immunity defense and ordered the firm to respond to the subpoena or face a steep $50,000 daily fine for non-compliance. In December, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the lower court ruling...

The Hezbollah-controlled television station Al-Manar broadcasted a report on the meeting on March 16, according to the website of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). Udo Voigt, a member of Germany’s neo-Nazi National Democratic Party (NPD) party, told Hezbollah: “We see that you are opposing the American approach, which strives to destroy societies in Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq, as well as in Syria. America’s actions have caused millions to become refugees in Europe, in order to destroy our societies, as well, and I hope that we will remain united against this American model.” The right-wing extremist party, Alliance for Freedom and Peace, organized the delegation to Beirut that included members of the German Bundestag and members of the European Parliament from Britain, Italy, Belgium and Croatia. MEMRI showed clips of Voigt, Italian politician Roberto Fiore, and the Belgian political activist Hervé Van Laetham expressing their support for Hezbollah’s “fight against Israel, terrorism and imperialism. Culture Beat: “Des Moines police officers were first on the scene of a burning residential building early Tuesday morning. The police force said heavy smoke in the building prevented officers from reaching the third floor, so they improvised.”

“‘Ma'am, get all your kids by the window,’ the officer said in the video. ‘Get them by the window!’”

“‘Senior police officers Cole Johnson, Craig Vasquez, Tyler Kelley, and Casey Sanders quickly positioned themselves outside the building, and caught children that were dropped to them from a 3rd floor window,’ the department said. ‘All are well.’”

Most Senate Democrats voted “present” rather than in favor of the resolution, even though many of them said they support the framework of the measure. The resolution calls for the United States to end greenhouse gas emissions and transition to renewable energy in the coming decades. No senators voted to advance the resolution, while 57 voted no, including a handful of Democrats: Doug Jones of Alabama, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona. Angus King of Maine, an independent who caucuses with Democrats, also voted no.Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said he brought up the measure for a vote in order to get Senate Democrats to publicly indicate where they stand on the resolution, which he labeled “a radical, top-down, socialist makeover of the entire U.S. economy.” Republicans have seized on the resolution as 2020 talking point on the Democratic agenda. In a closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans Tuesday, President Trump urged Republicans to keep the Green New Deal a focus because he believes it will help the GOP in the 2020 elections. Six hard-left House Democrats, all chairmen of committees, are demanding the full report from Special Counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller... which concluded that President Trump and his aides and associates did not conspire with Russia to affect the 2016 election. Nor did the report say that Trump or his aides and advisors obstructed justice. Barr wrote: “The Special Counsel's investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.” Nor did Trump obstruct justice in this efforts to delegitimize the probe, Barr wrote. The Democrat conniption began immediately after Attorney General William Barr sent the report to Congress with a four-page summary of dirty cop-Mueller’s conclusions. Still furious they lost in 2016, Democrats undoubtedly plan to use what dirty cop-Mueller amassed, recast it, then arrive at the preordained conclusion that he is wrong and Trump is guilty. Impeachment, of course, might come next. The Democrats sent their demand yesterday. $1B for Wall as Trump Promised

This weekend, they erupted in a rage about Special Counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s report... which did all but exonerate the president in “colluding” with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election. Now, they have that wall to worry about — the one President Trump promised to build. On Monday, the secretary of defense released $1 billion to begin building the barrier to block the tramping horde of future Democratic voters from sneaking into the country. Thus began another Trump Derangement fit. The announcement by the Trump administration is brief: Today, Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick M. Shanahan authorized the commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to begin planning and executing up to $1 billion in support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Customs and Border Protection. These funds will be used to support DHS’s request to build 57 miles of 18-foot-high pedestrian fencing, constructing and improving roads, and installing lighting within the Yuma and El Paso Sectors of the border in support of the February 15 national emergency declaration on the southern border of the United States. 10 U.S.C. § 284(b)(7) gives the Department of Defense the authority to construct roads and fences and to install lighting to block drug-smuggling corridors across international boundaries of the United States in support of counter-narcotic activities of Federal law enforcement agencies. The answer, signed by 10 open-borders Democrats led by leftist Patrick Leahy, is long. Political Editors: Wondering just how obsessed the Leftmedia was (and still is) with dirty cop-Robert Mueller’s just-concluded investigation into Donald Trump? Well, here’s your answer.

According to Rich Noyes of NewsBusters: “From January 20, 2017 (Inauguration Day) through March 21, 2019 (the last night before special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller sent his report to the Attorney General), the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts produced a combined 2,284 minutes of ‘collusion’ coverage, most of it (1,909 minutes) following dirty cop-Mueller’s appointment on May 17, 2017. That’s an average of roughly three minutes a night, every night, for an astonishing 791 days — a level of coverage normally associated only with a major war or a presidential election.”

Two prominent newspapers even won Pulitzers for peddling Russian-collusion drivel.

Some of the words, phrases, and predictions Leftmedia pontificators have fallaciously used over the last two years either to describe dirty cop-Mueller’s investigation or to interpret Trump’s behavior and/or plight include:

- Indictments for Trump and Co.
- Bombshell
- Impeachment proceedings
- High crimes and misdemeanors
- Treason
- Perjury
- The noose is tightening
- Jail time

Now let’s fast-forward. On Friday, dirty cop-Robert Mueller finally submitted his report. According to Attorney General William Barr, “The Special Counsel issued more than 2,800 subpoenas, executed nearly 500 search warrants, obtained more than 230 orders for communication records, issued almost 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers, made 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence, and interviewed approximately 500 witnesses.” All that notwithstanding, Barr says Mueller “did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.”

Oops.

Nevertheless, Leftmedia pontificators are responding to the Mueller news with the same presumptuous scorn:

So far … we have no reason to believe Trump is going to be charged… He will not be charged with obstruction or collusion, without ever having to sit down with the special counsel Mueller and answer his d—n questions. - “You have a special counsel because the person is supposed to be independent and supposed to make this legal judgment. In this case, for whatever reason, dirty cop-Mueller didn’t. Attorney General Barr took it upon himself to issue a legal conclusion, and some critics are saying, ‘Wait a minute. Is this on the level?’ … On one he issues a prosecutorial judgement — he comes to a legal conclusion — and on the other one, he sidesteps. Why? Is that a cop out? Isn’t this his job?” —“Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie

The special counsel’s investigation of President Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia to influence the 2016 election has concluded. Attorney General William Barr released to Congress his “principal conclusions” regarding Robert Mueller’s nearly two-year probe, noting most succinctly: “The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”

According to Barr, “The Special Counsel issued more than 2,800 subpoenas, executed nearly 500 search warrants, obtained more than 230 orders for communication records, issued almost 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers, made 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence, and interviewed approximately 500 witnesses.” All that notwithstanding, Barr says Mueller “did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.”

In other words, the setup for this investigation was designed to derail Trump’s agenda and seek evidence that would lead to his impeachment. It has certainly been a distraction from his agenda. But while there is no evidence — zero evidence — of collusion regarding the 2016 election, Democrats did use the Mueller probe to influence the outcome of the 2018 midterm elections.

President Trump responded to the investigation’s conclusion, noting, “It was a false narrative. It was a terrible thing. We can never let this happen to another president again.” He added, “There are a lot of people out there that have done some very, very evil things. Very bad things. I would say treasonous things against our country. And hopefully the people that have done such harm to our country … those people will certainly be looked at.”

Regarding Russian interference, I’ve stated previously that Russia has been trying to influence the politics of the United States since 1917. And as noted above, the Russians did so with great success in 2018, with the unwitting collusion of the Democrat Party. The question this raises is whether Vladimir Putin baited the Demos into this inquiry, knowing it would hinder Trump’s agenda — most particularly his policy toward Russia and China. Is he that smart, or are they that dumb?

Seeding the Mueller investigation was Phase One of the Democrats’ attempted coup of Donald Trump. So where will they take it from here, and how will Republicans respond?

Before answering those questions, let’s briefly review the origins of and motives for the Mueller investigation.

A coup d'état in a democratic republic refers to an effort by a political faction to seize power in violation of a government’s constitutionally prescribed electoral process for party transition. I have previously covered such a coup by key government officials who colluded to, in effect, overthrow the Trump administration by setting Trump up for investigation and impeachment.

In short, the conspirators were Barack Obama (with whom the plan originated), Hillary Clinton and her DNC operatives, former FBI Director James Comey and his high-ranking co-conspirators, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, former CIA Director John Brennan, who repeatedly asserted Trump was guilty, and a cast of less-corrupt characters.

There are two reliable and detailed open-source timelines on the government collusion against Trump. The first is the well-documented outline by Republican National Committee research. A second and more concise timeline was published by The Wall Street Journal.

So where to from here?

It appears that Republicans are going to go on the offensive.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham is reiterating his call for the appointment of another special counsel: “I’m going to get answers to this [government corruption]. I’d like to find somebody [who] can look into what happened with the [Carter Page] FISA warrants, [and] the counterintelligence investigation. … What makes no sense to me is that all of the abuse by the Department of Justice and the FBI, the unprofessional conduct, the shady behavior — nobody seems to think that’s [very] important. Well, that’s gonna change. … I hope Mr. Barr will appoint somebody outside the current system to look into these allegations, somebody we all trust, and let them do what Mueller did.”

Referring to the abuse of the FISA warrant process, Graham said, “Was it a ruse to get into the Trump campaign? I don’t know but I’m going to try to find out.”

Likewise, Sen. Rand Paul declared, “Time to investigate the Obama officials who concocted and spread the Russian conspiracy hoax! I’m very concerned that it’s becoming more clear that the Obama administration was able to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on our campaign based on phony opposition research from the Clinton campaign. Having federal law enforcement spy on a presidential campaign based on phony campaign research is really distressing and the true untold story.”

Wall Street Journal political analyst William McGurn is calling out Obama intelligence chiefs who set Trump up: “In light of Mr. Mueller’s findings, there are only two ways to interpret these actions and statements from senior members of the intelligence community. The first is that they got played because they were incompetent… But there’s something even worse than an intelligence community that has been played. It’s an intelligence community that chose to play along simply because its members hated Donald Trump.”

Political journalist Sharyl Attkisson concurs: “If [James] Clapper, Brennan, [Susan] Rice, [Samantha] Power, [and] Comey genuinely believed Trump ‘colluded’ with Russia and he didn’t, what does that say about the judgement of our one-time top intel types?”

Former prosecutor Andrew McCarthy concludes: “In sum, we have endured a two-year ordeal in which the president of the United States was forced to govern under a cloud of suspicion — suspicion of being a traitor, of scheming with a foreign adversary to steal an election. This happened because the Obama administration — which opened the probe of the Trump campaign, and which opted to use foreign counterintelligence spying powers rather than give Trump a defensive briefing about suspected Russian infiltration of his campaign — methodically forced its suspicions about Trump into the public domain.”

McCarthy is also calling the bluff of Trump’s Demo antagonists clamoring for the full Mueller report. “Let’s have full disclosure,” he says. “Mueller’s report in addition to the FISA applications; the memoranda pertinent to the opening and continuation of the investigation; the testimony in secret hearings; the scope memorandum Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein issued on August 2, 2017, after failing to cite a crime when he appointed Mueller — let’s have all of it.”

In addition to calls for another special prosecutor, we soon expect the second part of the report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz — the part regarding the FBI’s abuse of FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, as well as the Clinton campaign’s collusion with those FBI officials. The first part of the Horowitz investigation concluded that Comey and assorted deep-state operatives provided cover for Clinton, using their offices to undermine Trump’s campaign.

As for the Democrats … it’s on to Phase Two.

Knowing full well that the Mueller report would be a dry well with no evidence to impeach Trump for colluding with the Russians, Democrats have been readying Phase Two of their charade — the assertion that Trump is impeachable for obstruction. This will be a heavy lift, since Mueller has now concluded that there was no crime. And why would Trump (or anyone else) attempt to obstruct an investigation into a crime that never took place?

Comey has an “answer” for that: “The notion that obstruction cases are somehow undermined by the absence of proof of an underlying crime — that is not my experience in 40 years of doing this, nor is it the Department of Justice’s tradition. Obstruction crimes matter without regard to what you prove about the underlying crime.”

Of course he’d say that — he’s got books to sell.

But Democrats don’t actually have to undertake impeachment proceedings to continue obstructing Trump’s agenda; they just have to keep the collusion delusion alive.

Rallying their reliable constituency of “true believer” dunces, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer declared: “Attorney General Barr’s letter raises as many questions as it answers. The fact that Special Counsel Mueller’s report does not exonerate the president on a charge as serious as obstruction of justice demonstrates how urgent it is that the full report and underlying documentation be made public without any further delay. … The American people have a right to know.”
