The Court has no power to "assert" its own authority. The Court lacks the power of the sword or purse. A "rebuke" from the Supreme Court would do little to "cripple Mr. Trump's presidency and tarnish his legacy." As for the "legacy," if 2 impeachment trials, an alleged insurrection, and federal and state indictments didn't keep him out of the White House, then a few pages in the U.S. Reports will hardly leave a mark. By contrast, I think such a feeble effort to control Trump very well could "cripple" the Supreme Court. In the prior Supreme Court decision Marbury, Chief Justice Marshall had the good sense to not assert any authority against Jefferson. The Court did not order the Jefferson Administration to deliver the commission, as such an order would likely be ignored. Likewise, Marshall never ordered President Jackson to do anything. Marbury teaches the judiciary to avoid unwinnable conflicts with the President.

Put this conflict in perspective. Trump was able to roll over rino jeb bush, mrs. b.j. clinton,  corrupt biden, incompetent kamala harris, and every other politician that stood in his path. Does anyone think Justice Roberts can do better? Does anyone think Roberts's press statement to respond to Trump's social media post even moved the needle? Op-eds that give the Chief some faint echoes of praise within his echo chamber will not register beyond the Capital District.  Roberts's decision to punt on the USAID case will come to be a defining moment of his Chief Justiceship, and not in a good way. Roberts may not see that. Let's  hope Justice Barrett will.

Elon Musk and the DOGE Team Talk About Why Fraud Happens So Easily in the Federal Government!-Posted on RedState-By Jennifer Oliver O'Connell-On March 27, 2025:

Fox News Senior Correspondent and host of "Special Report" Bret Baier sat down with Elon Musk and the entire DOGE team on Thursday. This is a step up from the individual interviews done with Musk and one or two of the members. While their work overlaps all of the government agencies, each DOGE member spoke to the findings at particular agencies like the Social Security Administration, the Office of Management and Budget, the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Institute of Health, the Department of the Treasury, and the Department of the Interior. 

Baier kicked off his questioning with Musk, asking what are the DOGE budgetary savings goals and what he thinks he's achieved thus far? 

MUSK: Our goal is to reduce the deficit by a trillion dollars. So, from a nominal deficit of two trillion to try to cut the deficit in half to one trillion. Or looked at in total federal spending, to drop the federal spending from seven trillion to six trillion. We want to reduce the spending by eliminating waste and fraud and reduce the spending by 15 percent. Which seems really quite achievable. The government is not efficient and there's a lot of waste and fraud, so, we feel confident that a 15 percent reduction can be done without affecting any of the critical government services. In fact, making it better. 

Baier asked, "What's the most astonishing thing you've found out in this process?"

MUSK: The sheer amount of waste and fraud in the government. It's astonishing, it's mind-blowing. We routinely encounter waste of a billion dollars or more. Casually.

While the American people had no concept of the details, many of us have known for decades that this was the case. Worse, that prior administrations and lawmakers have given lip service to cutting fraud and waste for decades but did not give a rat's heinie about actually doing anything. Musk and the DOGE team gave full credit to President Donald Trump and to his Cabinet for allowing this exploration and correction to happen.

Now that DOGE is posting all this for everyone to see, we are receiving the confirmation. Musk and the DOGE team all confirmed that some of the reasons why the waste is so prevalent and fraud is so easily executed are aged government systems that have multiple redundancies, varying computer systems from agency to agency that do not talk with each other, and the lack of accountability and safeguards within the agencies.

ELON MUSK: The ways that the government is defrauded is that the computer systems don't talk to each other. So, if the computer systems don't talk to each other, then you can exploit that gap. And fraudsters exploit that gap and take advantage. 

DOGE software engineer Aram Moghaddassi pointed out a gap in the Social Security Administration function that has been exploited by fraudsters and has received much press thanks to the hue and cry from the Democrats: the ability to change banking information over the phone.

Moghaddassi said that the Social Security Administration gets phone calls every day from people trying to get them to change their banking information. DOGE has discovered that 40 percent of those calls are from fraudsters.

MOGHADDASSI: They steal people's Social Security. They pretend to be a retiree and they convince the Social Security person to change where the money is going.

As a result of the work of DOGE and this change, grandma's benefits have a greater layer of protection from being stolen. 

Musk said: 

MUSK: What we're doing will help their benefits. Legitimate people, as a result of the work of DOGE, will receive more Social Security, not less. I want to emphasize that: as a result of the work of DOGE, legitimate recipients of Social Security will receive more money, not less money.  

Musk doubled down: Let the record show that I said this, and it will be proven out to be true. Musk asked Baier to check back on this in the future.

Another manipulation of the fraud gap discovered by engineer Steve Davis is over $300 million in Small Business Administration loans had been given out to people under the age of 11 and over $300 million distributed to people over the age of 120. Musk discussed how this gap occurred, lamenting how fraudsters exploit the Social Security numbers of newborn babies.

MUSK: They do terrible things. They will see that a kid has been born, they will steal that kid's Social Security number, take out a loan and leave that kid with a bad credit rating. That's literally a baby. Terrible things are being done is what we're saying.

DOGE's Anthony Armstrong, who is working within OPM, pinpointed how this happens.

ARMSTRONG: The reason this is happening is that the two systems are not talking to each other. Right? So, you don't know at the Small Business Administration that you're giving a loan to a nine-month old, which happened in one case, because you're not cross-referencing that with the Social Security Administration data that has birth dates. So, that very, very simple fix eliminates tremendous fraud. There are multiple systems across the government where the systems are not speaking with one another, and if you just solve that simple problem, you would solve a huge amount of fraud.

Musk concurred:

MUSK: When I say our job is tech support, I really mean it. We have to fix the computers. If the computers can't talk to each other, you can't get research done. If the computers can't stay online, people won't receive their Social Security. So, what we have here are a bunch of failing computer systems that are preventing people from receiving their benefits, that are preventing research from happening, that are extremely vulnerable to fraud, and we're fixing it.

Chief DOGE engineer Steve Davis said that the number of issues with the Social Security system:

Are enormous. As an example, there are over 15 million people that are over the age of 120 that are marked as alive in the Social Security system. 

BAIER: And that's an accurate figure? 

DAVIS: Correct. Correct. This is something that has been identified as a problem, a pre-existing problem since 2008, at least from an IG report. So, there are some great people working at the Social Security Administration that found this, 2008, and nothing was done about it. And so, 15 to 20 million Social Security numbers that were clearly fraudulent were floating around that could be used only for bad intentions, there would be no way to use those for good intentions. So one of the things the DOGE team is doing is carefully, and very methodically, looking at those and making sure that any fraudulent ones are eliminated.  

Engineer Tom Krause is part of DOGE in the Treasury Department. He pointed to the attitude and culture within the government, which perpetuates the lack of oversight and fraud. 

Why is this allowed to happen at a financial level? Well, it's actually quite simple but alarming[...] 

It really is the taxpayer's money. One, we're changing the culture, the culture has been not a lot of caring, and not a lot of commitment to do what's right relative to financial operations. There's $500 billion of fraud every year. There's hundreds of billions of dollars in improper payments and we can't pass an audit. 

The DOGE team consistently pointed out that a private company with this lack of financial controls would have gone under a long time ago.

MUSK: We're talking about elementary financial controls, that are necessary for any company to function. If a commercial company operated the way the federal government does, then it would immediately go bankrupt, it would be delisted, the officers would be arrested. The changes we're putting in place will enable the federal government to pass an audit, it will enable taxpayers to know where the money is going and know that their hard-earned tax dollars are being spent well.

Baier asked Musk about the pushback DOGE was receiving and what his response was. Musk declared:

MUSK: Well, this is a revolution. And I think it might be the biggest revolution in government since the original revolution. But at the end of the day, America is going to be in much better shape. America will be solvent. The critical programs that people depend upon will work, and it's gonna to be a fantastic future. Are we going to get a lot of complaints along the way? Absolutely. One of the things I learned at PayPal: You know who complains the loudest? What the most amount of fake righteous indignation? The fraudsters. Isn't that crazy?

Musk further warned:

MUSK: The reason we're doing this, is because if we don't do it, America's going to be insolvent. It's going to go bankrupt, and nobody is going to get anything.

If we don't do this, we're sunk. Unless this exercise is successful, the ship of America will sink. That's why we're doing it.

In 2024, it lost the White House, the House of Representatives, the Senate, and both the popular vote and the Electoral College, 312-226.

In 2024, Donald Trump won over 46% of the Hispanic vote, including a majority of Hispanic men. Trump also likely captured 26% of the Black male vote, doubling his 2020 total.

In 2024, Trump increased his 2020 vote total in every single state. And he won 89% of all the counties in the United States.

On every issue, Democrats sided with strident leftist movements rather than the majority of Americans.

They supported globalism over nationalism, high-priced green energy over lower gas and electricity prices, and an open border and 12 million unaudited illegal aliens over security and legal-only immigration.

They seem unconcerned with our $36 trillion debt or the deterrence lost abroad that led to two theater-wide existential wars.

Democrats stay mum about unfair trade and budget deficits. They prefer the Black Lives Matter fixation on the color of our skin rather than Martin Luther King's emphasis on the content of our character.

They support allowing biological men to overpower women in female sports events -- in opposition to 80% of the electorate.

Democrats faced choices after their catastrophic defeat last year.

One, they could have stopped the hemorrhaging of their base of 18-30-year-olds, Black men, Hispanics, and independents by moving toward the center.

They even could have worked with Trump and perhaps sought to take credit for joint successes.

Instead, they doubled down on "resistance" through street-theater terror-chic.

Democrat senators cut a group attack video, each echoing the potty word "sh*t."

In a House ad, Democratic female members mimicked ninjas, kicking and punching at the camera, as if hitting their Republican opponents.

Former vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz boasts about kicking the "ass" of Republicans.

"Assh*ole" is now the standard Democratic epithet for Musk, as voiced by Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly. "D*ck" is the preferred Musk slur from Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith.

Xenophobia is also now Democratic chic.

Walz smears Musk, an American citizen, as a "South African nepo baby."

Other Democratic representatives question Musk's loyalty, asking, "Which country is he (Musk) loyal to?"

Or they further boast, "We're (Democrats) going to send Elon back to South Africa."

An unhinged Rep. Maxine Waters shouts that she wants First Lady Melania Trump deported, given she too is a naturalized citizen.

But those theatrics have now escalated into near overt support for violence.

Democrats are blocking the deportation of dangerous illegal aliens affiliated with the terrorist-designated Tren de Aragua.

They try to stop the deportation of resident alien Mahmoud Khalil -- arch Hamas supporter, apologist for the murderers of October 7, and a spokesman for the most violent student group at Columbia.

To stop Musk's advisory Department of Government Efficiency and its identification of government waste, fraud, and abuse, leftist cabals are now terrorizing Musk's Tesla brand nationwide.

They seek to destroy cars, dealerships, and charging stations. Individual Tesla owners are sometimes tailed, confronted, and threatened.

Democrats claim no formal role in such terror -- but more or less seem to approve of its ends and means.

Left-wing comic Jimmy Kimmel winks and nods on national television about the current violent Tesla terrorist campaign.

Tim Walz celebrates the resulting drop in the Tesla stock price. As Minnesota's governor overseeing his state's sizable investment in Tesla, Walz could care less about trash-talking his own taxpayers' investments.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett boasts that Musk "must be taken down."

She brags she wants to physically assault Sen. Ted Cruz, who "has to be knocked over the head, like hard" -- adding "I think you punch, I think you (sic) OK with punching."

Crockett even mocked disabled and wheelchair-bound Texas governor Greg Abbott: "You all know we got Gov. Hot Wheels down there. ... And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot-ass mess, honey."

Former Democratic House member and once-censured Rep. Jamaal Bowman claimed Musk was a "Nazi" and an "incompetent thief."

Democrat Rep. Al Green was censured by the House for disrupting the Trump joint address to Congress -- and led away screaming and shaking his cane at the president in failed efforts to shut down the speech.

Senator minority leader Chuck Schumer, who once issued threats to Supreme Court justices Neal Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh by name, now boasts, "We have people going to the Republican districts and going after these Republicans who are voting for this and forcing them to either change their vote or face the consequences."

Furious at their own increasing impotence, these contemporary Democrat Jacobins are dabbling with their own version of a reign of smut terror.

They are probably too impotent to derail the country, but they are certainly destroying themselves.

Well before Donald Trump was sworn in as president in 2017, high-ranking members of Washington’s uniparty establishment, recognizing him as an existential threat to the long-standing system of rule by unelected Deep State bureaucrats, were hard at work trying to bring him down. For years, a narrative set in motion by Hillary Clinton and substantiated by a totally cooked-up dossier portrayed Trump as a tool of Vladimir Putin. And this was only one of many hoaxes about Trump that were endlessly repeated by the media – so many, indeed (from the bleach hoax to the “fine people” hoax), that hardly anyone could keep track of them all, and so preposterous, every last one of them, that they opened one’s eyes to the degree of credulity that Americans marinated in progressivism could evince in matters touching on a man they’d been taught to hate.

During the second half of Trump’s first term in the Oval Office and into the early days of Biden, the Democrats exploited their majority in the House to try to demolish Trump with not one but an unprecedented two impeachments, both of them founded on utterly absurd premises. During the 2020 campaign, Twitter and other social media, which had become satraps of the CIA and FBI, forbade any mention on their platforms of the Hunter Biden laptop, which contained materials proving massive corruption on the part of the Biden family but which 51 former members of the intelligence community claimed to be part of a Russian plot. During the first half of Biden’s presidency, a House Select Committee, consisting of seven Democrats and two fiercely anti-Trump Republicans, cooked up a profoundly dishonest account of what had happened at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in an attempt to paint Trump as an insurrectionist and, therefore, a traitor. Meanwhile, left-wing prosecutors around the country filed all kinds of suits against Trump, each more ludicrous than the last, in an effort to bankrupt him, put him behind bars, and make it impossible for him ever to be re-elected.

Remarkably, it all failed. In the political comeback story of all time, Trump returned to the White House. This time, however, the lay of the land is dramatically different than it was during his first term. He has majorities in both houses of Congress. And, savvy now about the ways in which treacherous members of his own executive branch had worked against him, he’s filled all the key leadership positions with intelligent, experienced, principled, selfless, articulate, and tough-as-nails all-stars who are determined to replace Deep State mischief-makers with patriots who believe in the Constitution. Some of the Trump folks, including Trump himself, are working for free. That’s how serious they are about taking the government back, on behalf of the American people, from a globalist political class whose leading members have presided indifferently over an insanely increasing national debt, destroyed the American manufacturing sector while enabling another country (for the first time in 125 years) to attain a GNP rivaling America’s, enriched themselves beyond belief by means of the most blatant sort of corruption, and allowed a veritable army of dangerous foreign gangsters to pour over our borders even as they’ve waged expensive, endless, and meaningless foreign wars. The obscene, ill-gotten wealth of the Clintons, the Obamas, the Pelosis, and others should have landed them all in prison a long time ago. But nothing has ever been done about any of it. Because everybody in D.C. profited by letting everything just go along as it has for decades.

Until now. Now, finally, it’s all being exposed, unraveled, undone. Day by day, the FBI, CIA, NSA, USAID, Voice of America, the departments of State, Treasury, Justice, Defense, Education, and other agencies are being increasingly emptied of traitors at their highest levels. Elon Musk and his DOGE team, in investigating the finances of many of these agencies, have discovered that colossal sums in taxpayer funds have been wasted, gone missing, or ended up in the wrong pockets. Much of the money allocated every year to USAID for foreign assistance turns out to have been used to pay Democratic Party expenses. Already the scale of the malfeasance is staggering; it’s impossible to imagine just how many people, when all is said and done, will need to be terminated (at the very least). Day by day, Trump’s enemies – America’s enemies – are losing their grip on their most crucial power bases.

Alas, however, there are still men and women in positions of power whom Trump can’t fire, many of whom feel as threatened by his determination to regain control of the executive branch as anyone in Washington – and who are willing to do anything to thwart his agenda. I’m referring, of course, to the scores of district judges who – in response to preliminary injunctions or temporary restraining orders filed by plaintiffs who will suffer in various ways as a result of Trump’s actions, and in what can only be described as textbook examples of judicial overreach – have blocked those actions in recent weeks, and thereby instantly soared from obscurity to nationwide notoriety. For example, judges in several states rejected Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship. Maryland’s Theodore Chuang ruled against DOGE’s closing of USAID. California’s William Alsup and Maryland’s James Bredar nixed 24,000 layoffs at federal agencies. D.C.’s Loren AliKhan stopped the freezing of grants and loans promoting Marxism, transgenderism, and green ideology. Rhode Island’s John J. McConnell Jr. instructed OMB not to freeze payouts.

D.C.’s Tonya Chutkan reversed Trump’s closing of the EPA’s Green Bank Program, under which $14 billion in grants were to be distributed to recipients described by EPA chair Lee Zeldin as “pass-through, politically connected, unqualified and in some cases brand-new” nonprofits. Washington State’s Jamal Whitehead reversed a Trump action barring refugees from the U.S. and halting funds for refugee organizations. New York’s Jesse Furman blocked the deportation of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian who planned pro-Hamas unrest at Columbia University. Maryland’s Julie Rubin ordered the Department of Education to restore $600 million in grants. In D.C., Royce Lamberth blocked the transfer of several “transgender women” from women’s to men’s prisons. Also in D.C., Ana C. Reyes blocked the Pentagon from enforcing Trump’s ban on transgender troops. Washington’s Lauren King and Maryland’s Brendan Hurson ordered that federal funds continue to pay for “gender-affirming care” for young people. Maryland’s Ellen Hollander blocked DOGE from accessing Social Security Administration databases. Washington State’s James Boasberg demanded that two planes carrying members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to El Salvador return to the U.S. And D.C.’s Amir Ali directed the Trump administration to spend billions of dollars appropriated by Congress for USAID.

Never before has America seen so many judicial rulings against presidential actions handed down in such a short time. El Salvador president Nayib Bukele has called it “a judicial coup.” Legal expert Josh Hammer, a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, has called the district judges “lawless punks.” Their actions have been compared to the declarations, in 1935 and 1936 respectively, that the National Recovery Administration and Agricultural Adjustment Administration, two of FDR’s New Deal programs, were unconstitutional. But those were just two rulings by the Supreme Court in regard to a couple of patently unconstitutional executive actions – not over a dozen rulings by lower courts, which were never intended to be able to wield such powers in regard to legitimate exercises of executive authority.

Yes, the Supreme Court jumped into the fray this time around too, but its 5- 4 decision on March 5, affirming Judge Ali’s above-mentioned decision, was described by a CNN legal analyst as “modest” and was accompanied by a fiery dissent from Justice Alito, who wrote: “Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer dollars? The answer to that question should be an emphatic ‘No,’ but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise. I am stunned.”

Where were all these activist judges, one wonders, when Biden’s White House puppeteers were serving as travel agents for illegal aliens? There were always crooked judges, needless to say; but the judges who have been pulling these stunts of late don’t seem to think they’re crooked. It’s just that their prime loyalty is not to the Constitution, which they probably consider outmoded, but to the progressive agenda of the Democratic Party and Deep State. Granted, many if not most of their rulings will probably end up being overturned by the Supreme Court. But that could take years. Meanwhile the rulings will almost certainly keep on coming, and will keep on erecting roadblocks for Trump’s reforms. There are, after all, no fewer than 677 district judges at present, and a great many of them are very far out on the political left. Add to this the fact that when a judge issues a ruling, however legally baseless, against an action by Trump, he or she will almost certainly pay no price for doing so; on the contrary, the judge will become, for a brief period anyway, a hero to millions of ill-informed people in America and abroad who’ve been told by the legacy media that Trump is a scourge, a fascist, a racist, and a Nazi, and that he should therefore be resisted in every way possible.

To be sure, there have been calls for the impeachment of at least some of these judges, and Elon Musk has contributed large sums to members of Congress who have joined in these calls; but it seems unlikely that any of the judges will be removed from the bench. Indeed, when Trump called for the impeachment of Boasberg for his act of judicial overreach, Chief Justice John Roberts had the temerity to criticize Trump publicly for it – thereby doubling down on the overreach. More promising was the seconding by Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, in a note to Attorney General Pam Bondi, of Trump’s insistence that federal courts comply with the Federal Rule of Civil Procedure, which directs that parties seeking seeking a preliminary injunction or temporary restraining order provide a financial guarantee. Uniform enforcement of this rule would likely cut down on the number of lawsuits on the basis of which the judges have issued these cockamamie rulings.

Judicial overreach, however, is only one of the challenges Trump faces in his current term. While the activist judges are overreaching in one way, many other Americans are overreaching in other ways. Convinced that Trump and Musk are existential threats to freedom, to the Constitution, and to “our democracy,” ordinary citizens have begun to engage in the perilous practice of “swatting,” which means phoning the cops, giving them the address of some prominent Trump supporter, and saying that a felony is underway at that location – a rape, a murder, a hostage situation, whatever. Among those who’ve been targeted in this fashion in recent weeks are Larry Taunton, Mat Van Swol, Shawn Farash, Nick Sortor, Gunther Eagleman, Joe Pagliarulo, Chase Geiser, Chad Caton, and Owen Shroyer. Some of them are local media figures; others are nationally known, with social-media followers numbering in the six figures.

Of those TDS sufferers who haven’t been swatting their political opponents, some have kept busy smashing Teslas, throwing Molotov cocktails at Tesla charging stations, and firing bullets through the windows of Tesla dealerships. During the summer of 2020, which is now ironically referred to as the “summer of love,” and which was the last summer of Trump’s first term, Antifa and BLM members in many cities committed acts of vandalism, arson, and other felonies that went virtually unpunished by local and state authorities. This time around the targets are cars, their manufacturers, and their sellers and owners; and leading Democrats, such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, have come extremely close to defending and encouraging their actions. As has been widely observed, when a man dressed up to look like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s became the face of Bud Light, nobody on the right vandalized beer aisles at grocery stores or firebombed Anheuser-Busch’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis or left the severed head of a Clydesdale in Dylan Mulvaney’s bed. They just switched beers. Unlike conservatives, however, left-wing Americans have been taught that their opponents’ speech acts are tantamount to violence while their own acts of violence constitute legitimate and righteous forms of protest.

The results of the election last November were thrilling. So were the rapidity with which Trump announced first-rate appointees to key roles in his administration and the eagerness with which those new hires went to work, determined to reverse the damage done to America under Biden and other presidents. Their selfless patriotism and dedication are inspiring. It melts cynicism. It’s hard to believe that any decent American with a three-digit IQ could fail to applaud what they’re doing. But all too many Americans have been persuaded by the Democratic Party and its tools in the corporate media that Trump is out to turn America into Nazi Germany. In reality, of course, he’s out to save the Constitution from its globalist enemies – who are by definition our enemies, for they seek to replace our free constitutional republic with a system more reminiscent of feudalism.

Exactly how many domestic enemies do we have? We’re obliged to include here not only the kingpins of the Democratic Party and legacy news media as well as the swatters and the Tesla-ravagers, but also the politicians and scientists (from Fauci on down) who ordered suppression of our rights during the COVID pandemic, the professors who’ve brainwashed students with identity politics, the school teachers who inculcate children in trans ideology, the bitter old biddies of The View, and the unfunny late-night talk-show hosts who unvaryingly parrot the Democratic Party’s talking points. Not to mention any number of social-media “influencers” who traffic in titanic anti-Trump lies and encourage toxic Trump-hate, thereby rendering their influence insalubrious in the extreme.

Add to them the people in your life and mine who’ve cut off contact with us, or who turn every contact into an opportunity for a political lecture. Some of them have never paid much attention to politics but, in recent years – either because they’ve been through a so-called education at an elite college or because they’re lonely middle-aged (or older) folks who’ve allowed their sad and lonely minds to be rewired by the legacy media – have bought into the narrative, discovered the pleasures of virtue signaling, embraced what Gad Saad calls suicidal empathy, and consequently become unrecognizable in their idiotic vituperations. They worship the memory of a violent thug named George Floyd and are now head over heels for the accused murderer Luigi Mangioni, but they despise a benevolent genius named Elon Musk (who, although he is the planet’s richest man, is spending many of his nights these days sleeping on a couch while he labors to rescue the American economy).  When they hear about people committing acts of terrorism against other people’s Teslas, they applaud. For heaven’s sake, when Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, they rushed online to say that they were sorry he’d survived.

They say that Trump is a Nazi. They profess to believe that at any moment now the Gestapo will knock at their doors and drag them off to Auschwitz. The elderly sister of a pro-Trump friend of mine recently wrote in an email: “When will they stage a ‘Reichstag fire’ and end all our rights?” One member of an online group for gay men in Palm Springs wrote: “Anyone who uses X is a capo” – and everybody in the group agreed with him. But these people don’t really act as if they think they’re in Nazi Germany. If they did, they’d be too scared to actually say such things: instead, they’d pack their valuables and board the next flight to London or Tokyo or Toronto. No, their hysteria seems to be merely performative, unrelated to what’s really going on around them. Instead of making rational arguments, they emote and point fingers and name-call. More and more, they act like children. What to make of it? These are people whom we love, or used to love, and whom we remember thinking of as decent and mature and sensible. How to make sense of them now? It’s as if they’ve transformed some private pain or frustration or fear into an insanely irrational hatred centered on a man who is, in fact, an astonishingly well-meaning, dedicated, good-hearted, and proficient president. Should they be forgiven because they know not what they do? Where, in fact, to draw the line? As in Nazi Germany, how to distinguish the overt perpetrators of evil from their low-information but genuinely fanatical followers?

Some of my own old friends – and perhaps some of yours – are longtime political junkies. In my case, almost all of them are people whom I used to think of as having the same views, generally speaking, that I did. A number of them are Beltway insiders – and almost all of them, since the advent of Trump, have made clear their thoroughgoing hostility toward him. They may refrain from calling him a Nazi but, a few weeks into his second term, their contempt for him is more virulent than ever. In their writings, they depict the likes of James Comey as a model of noble truth-telling. They argue in long, purportedly serious think pieces that Trump and J.D. Vance have put an end, once and for all, to the postwar America-led free world. They can’t possibly believe these things. They have to know better. They’re not dumb. I once thought of them, naively I suppose, as honest brokers, as people who were in D.C. because they truly believed in things – good things – that they wanted to fight for. What happened to them? Is there, in the end, nothing more powerful in them than their loyalty to the D.C. status quo, in spite of the federal government’s rampant corruption, its reckless handling of taxpayer funds and the lives of young American warriors, its distance from the kind of polity envisioned by the founders, and its disconnection from the American people? Should we count them among our enemies?

Naturally, we don’t like to think of our enemies as enemies; but they are our enemies, and they most assuredly think of us as enemies. Similarly, we don’t like to think of them as traitors; but they are traitors, or at the very least enablers and supporters and cheering sections for traitors, and they view us as traitors, too – traitors to the glorious future time, to the utopia that they see beckoning up ahead in the near distance, to George Soros and Klaus Schwab and an international commonwealth, founded upon intersectional ideology and diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, for which mere freedom within one’s nation’s own borders seems to them a very small price to pay. They see themselves as being at war with us; and it’s about time that we recognize that, whether we like it or not, we’re at war with them.

If federal judges at any level can prevent President Donald Trump from exercising his constitutional powers, then we have problems.

One wonders, though, if even well-informed and well-meaning Americans understand how deep those problems run. In short, if judges have that authority, then we have no reason to vote. Nor do we have any reason to pay attention to public affairs. Our republic, already mostly subsumed by deep state tyranny, would degenerate into a total farce.

Fortunately, Elon Musk, owner of the social media platform X and head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, completed a successful rearguard action on Tuesday when a federal appeals court temporarily smacked down an overbearing district judge.

Last week, according to The Harvard Crimson, federal judge Theodore D. Chuang, part of Harvard University’s Board of Overseers — a notable fact that highlights the incestuous nature of the American ruling class — ruled that Musk likely acted in an unconstitutional manner when he spearheaded Trump’s initiative to shut down the United States Agency for International Development in February.

Chuang serves as a U.S. District Judge for the District of Maryland. Former President Barack Obama nominated him for the federal bench in 2013.

Tuesday on X, independent journalist Nick Sortor posted a screen shot of the appeals court’s decision to overturn Chuang.

“On the defendants’ motion for an administrative stay,” the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit wrote, “the court orders that the district court’s preliminary injunction dated March 18, 2025, as clarified by its order dated March 20, 2025, be stayed and hereby is stayed until the close of business of Thursday, March 27, 2025.”

Meanwhile, Sortor noted that “an expanded ruling could come later this week.”

The “defendants,” in this case also the appellants, referred to Musk and DOGE.

In short, while a two-day stay in anticipation of a possible “expanded ruling” hardly qualifies as a permanent victory, it does constitute an important step in the right direction.

For one thing, USAID must never return in its prior form. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called the agency “sinister,” and for good reasons.

Moreover, in a broader sense, Tuesday’s temporary stay slowed the momentum of a judicial coup against Trump.

Earlier this month, for instance, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg — another Obama appointee — usurped presidential authority by presuming to order the return of two deportation flights filled with Venezuelan Tren de Aragua illegal alien gang members, though Trump administration officials made sure that the flights left U.S. airspace anyway.

Of course, we want illegal alien criminals deported, and we want USAID shuttered.

The real issue, however, involves something much deeper than our policy preferences. After all the courtroom wrangling, all the orders and appeals, the fact remains that we voted for those things.

Trump pledged deportations and the destruction of the deep state — both of which fall well within his constitutional authority.

Just as the president can neither diminish Congress’ authority under the Constitution nor order the Supreme Court to rule as he prefers, neither can those branches infringe upon the presidency

The Constitution has very specific remedies for extreme cases of abuse. And the only abuse in this case has come from the courts. Free and sovereign people who elect their president cannot stand for this kind of behavior from judges.

Consider some of what Trump has already accomplished. He has made real cuts to the federal bureaucracy, something that seemed impossible before 2025. He’s secured the border, defended women, removed murderers and rapists from the country, attacked the corrosive merit-destroying horror of dei, restored justice to political victims targeted by the previous administration, pushed for improving educational quality, unleashed the economic power of energy, and protected American industries, among many first-month highlights. He is standing for liberty, justice, and Americans with every action. That’s shock and awe. This administration was ready to go on day 1, and moved out at a furious pace never seen before. This was necessary. It was the only way they had any chance of advancing American interests without opposition bringing them to a screeching halt. It gets harder from here. The administration’s opponents are adapting, so it is critical to both identify and attack their resistance centers of gravity nonstop. Those centers of gravity are the federal bureaucracy, the judiciary, the media, academia, and popular culture.

The federal bureaucracy is almost universally left-wing/democrat. The behemoth believes it exists to loyally support any left-wing/democrat directive while resisting Republicans. America has no choice but to cut an entity many times larger than we can afford, even apart from ideological considerations, but cutting the government has the added benefit of sending a strong signal that subversion and resistance to the will of the public won’t be tolerated. Agencies that exist for no other purpose than to throttle freedom and advance leftist causes should be shuttered. Targeting USAID was a great start, and the Dept of Education needs to go. We have over 2000 agencies, which sounds like about 1800 too many. You can’t have a truly free society when the bureaucratic state has so many tentacles that you can’t even find them all.

The administration will be forced to battle judges nonstop. There have already been hundreds of lawsuits against the administration. That number will grow into the thousands, since lawfare is the Left’s primary strategy when their positions are so wildly unpopular. The courts are loaded with sympathetic judges, and the rodents of the left will scuttle to them. The good news is that the government has a big advantage here. The government can use these court battles to draw money and focus from their opponents. The government has whatever resources it needs to fight legal challenges. Their opponents do not. neo-liberals/democrats use that as a force of evil. The administration should and likely will appeal every one of these politicized decisions and use the process to punish and drain their foes. The Republican Congress needs to pitch in and impeach some of the most obviously leftist judges who are not following the law. If nothing else, it will expose the efforts of these judges to the broader public.

As far as the left-wing media goes, the administration is making all the right moves by elevating new voices and marginalizing discredited outlets. They are attacking the left media’s sense of prestige and entitlement. The president picked plenty of people who are uniquely talented at fighting in this arena. They need to continue to ensure the left-wing media understands there are consequences for lies and bad behavior, such as costly lawsuits or being removed from coveted press pools. The fact that some of the savvier media owners are reorienting their outlets shows a recognition that the playing field has changed.

There is plenty that the administration can and will do to keep freedom-hating universities on the defensive, such as taxing their endowments, suing to defend students, and offering alternatives to wise Americans that don’t include going into massive debt for useless degrees.

No Republican president has understood Andrew Breitbart’s observation that politics is downstream of culture more than Trump. He connects with young people and has leveraged cultural forces like Musk and Joe Rogan. The progress in this battle has infuriated the left-wing/democrats the most, since they view culture as their birthright.

Even as opposition hardens, the administration will continue its campaign to shock, rattle, and awe with missiles aimed right at the left’s resistance centers of gravity. What makes that so glorious is that the focus is on advancing three core principles we haven’t seen in a long time; freedom, our national interests, and a healthy dose of hope.

My comment on this;

There is only one Trump. After this administration is over we don't have a dynamic replacement for him. We must all work together to see to it that everything he does over the 4 years will either remain or be extremely hard to remove like Biden did after his first term. I also believe that Trump was sent by God as our last chance to defeat the evil which has infiltrated our government. I also, believe we will fail if we as a nation does not return to God, and keep his Commandments in our private lives. And also keep the moral implications they express, in our laws and society standards. That means turning away from the perverse agendas issued in by the Democrats in their attempt to destroy our Morals, our Integrity, our Self Discipline, and all of our other higher values.

There are two ways we need to do to accomplish this;

1. Demand our State Legislatures petition Congress for an Article-V, Amendment Proposal Convention. Using that convention to lock in things the Congress would never do on their own. Things like Term Limits, American Citizenship and picture ID to vote, Mandatory Balanced Budget with severe penalties like loss of right to run in any government position again. Forbidding Government from creating or enforcing firearm laws rules or regulations without a 3/4 approval by vote to allow them, End the Federal Reserve and income taxes. Go back on the Gold and Silver Standard. Outlaw birthright citizenship to anchor babies. Outlaw automatic funding and make Congress vote on every dollar spent. etc.

2. As I said before, We as a Nation must return to honoring God and asking him to help us persevere in our quest to restore America. If he's not on our side, actively helping us, we won't have a chance to win.

Trump is not openly violating federal court orders. It appears to be going to the very edge of what’s legal in responding to the orders. That response may or may not be wise, either politically or legally. But the White House has the right to play hardball with its opponents and not give an inch past what the courts rule. It also has the right to define its own view of what the rulings mean and to force its opponents back to court if they don’t agree. There are sophisticated lawyers on both sides of these lawsuits. They are doing everything they can both in the courts and the court of public opinion to shape the outcomes.

Guess what? The biden regime used exactly the same tactics. How do I know? Because Joe Biden said so, and not just once. The biden White House stretched — and outright broke — the limits of its powers, federal laws, and the Constitution on any number of occasions. To name just 3: it used workplace regulations to force healthy adult Americans to get mRNA vaccines. It undid basic property rights by preventing landlords from evicting delinquent tenants. And it unilaterally tried to cancel hundreds of billions of dollars in student loans that borrowers owed taxpayers. In each case, the Supreme Court said it had overreached.

The court’s student loan forgiveness ruling particularly annoyed the Biden regime. Forgiving college debt makes very little sense as a policy. It gives bloated educational institutions even more excuses to pad their costs, while transferring wealth from people without degrees to people with them, even though degree-holders are already at a major societal advantage. But the left-wing/democrats love the idea, which is something close to a straight payoff to a core Democratic constituency — young and mostly female knowledge workers. So as soon as the Supreme Court struck down the forgiveness plan in June 2023, corrupt biden began to try to get around the ruling. And he wasn’t shy about saying so. In fact, by the standards of late-regime (aka fully demented) biden, he was remarkably articulate.

On May 29, 2024, lyin' biden said: “The idea that the Supreme Court told me I couldn't do it, I couldn't forgive student debt. I found out a way.” Later the same say, in a campaign speech, he said, “The Supreme Court blocked me from relieving student debt, but they didn't stop me.” They were denying the court’s clear intent. They were looking for legal loopholes to satisfy their base and do what they wanted. Just as Trump is doing now.

The difference is that the left-wing  media, which either ignored or cheered ol' biden’s rhetoric, has spent the last month huffing and puffing about how Trump is going to destroy ‘Merica and JD Vance and the Vancettes are going to break down your door next, DO YOU HEAR ME, PEOPLE? And yo thought the left-wing media had learned its lesson about hyperventilating from the 1st Trump Administration, but apparently the lesson it learned is that didn’t hyperventilate enough.

Let’s see Trump actually defy — not quasi-defy, like corrupt biden did, but actually defy — a Supreme Court decision. Then a freak-out will be justified. But for now, all he’s doing is playing to his base. Then again, that’s all the neo-liberal new york times is doing, too.

ol' biden used the pardons not to show mercy to specific individuals, but to change the law. We're told that no one may ever challenge a president’s clemencies, because the pardon power is "plenary." But however plenary it is, it cannot be so plenary as to allow a president to eliminate the legislative and judicial branches. Corrupt biden's blanket pardons of entire classes of crimes and punishments do just that.

The autopen signatures proved senile biden had no idea what he was doing, as if that were ever in dispute. Anyone who saw biden's June 27, 2024, debate performance is well familiar with his galloping senescence, but Trump is nothing if not thorough. More important than biden not actually signing the pardons, Trump said, "he did not know anything about them!” The autopen evidence takes biden's general oblivion to oblivion in these specific cases.

Further evidence that it was biden's staff, and not biden, exercising the presidential pardon is that this champion of the death penalty -- who spent years bragging about personally writing a crime bill that added 60 new capital sentences to the U.S. Code -- overturned capital sentences for 37 of 40 federal prisoners.  In the 1990s, Biden never shut up about his gusto for capital punishment, sarcastically noting that "the liberal wing of the democratic Party is now for 60 new death penalties," and boasting that the crime bill did "everything but hang people for jaywalking.”

This death penalty enthusiast decided death was too harsh for a sadistic serial killer and child rapist like jorge avila-torrez? And that it was so vital that avila-torrez cheat death that lyin' biden was willing to ignore Congress and the courts to spare him? The pardon power doesn't reside with the entire White House staff. It is the president's alone. Similarly, the press secretary can't order an aircraft carrier into the Mediterranean Sea.

When the president is a dementia patient, being fed pudding as he stares vacantly into the void, of course it's valid to ask who really issued those pardons?
