Note:  What follows is a series of five articles and/or blogs from 2005 that do a meticulous job of exposing the Socialist/United Nation’s goals to take over and destroy the United States of America with the help of the Pentagon and State Department, along with the main-stream media, which I believe relate to and/or further support Part 1 regarding this extremely disturbing issue-You Decide:

I remember the protests that took place near the lawns of the White House. From the late 1960s into the 1980s, shrill voices filled Washington, DC with anti-American rhetoric wrapped in blame-America-first rampages. It made me wonder why those speaking and those attending didn’t just pack up and move to different pastures—places where they could build something instead of trying to tear down the nation that gave them so much freedom.

It was not a pretty time in the history of America, but it wasn’t just the young people who were to blame. Many had only a marginal knowledge of the real issues and some didn’t even know why they were there. Those protestors didn’t know that the hate-America diatribes were well orchestrated, their roots deeply buried in a series of masterfully crafted plans concocted by those against whom they protested.

It took years for me to realize that what preceded the “hippie revolution” was almost a century old and was far more insidious and dangerous to our sovereignty than youths protesting. Behind our backs, and with the usual media assistance, Americans were sold a passel of lies that only the best charlatans in the political world could have conjured up—with or without evil incantations.

I knew the plan from both the humanist viewpoint and eventually studied Biblical prophecies. Those plans are now coming to fruition as God said they would, which makes living at this point in history (or His Story) rather incredible. Still, I was intrigued by a little book I stumbled upon at a local thrift store—a book that documented some rather evil, behind-the-scenes plotting on the part of our government. It’s the stuff that often warms the hearts and minds of those who subscribe to one conspiracy theory or another; and it was a bit ironic that the book was amidst a collection of Christian literature and Bible studies—a most appropriate place for truth to reside. What did I have to lose other than the meager purchase price?

As the face of the author stared back at me, the title and table of contents convinced me that answers to lingering questions about ongoing plans to destroy the United States would be found within. I bought and read the book, then became determined to revive the author’s story four decades after it was published. I don’t know if he’s still alive, and I don’t care how right wing he was. His story should be told if, for no other reason, to prove that our government has had a long-standing desire to sacrifice our national sovereignty on the altar of a one-world government ruled by those with money and power.

Maj. Arch E. Roberts AUS (Ret), an 18-year veteran, didn’t mince words in his efforts to stop the caustic, anti-American agenda of the ‘liberal establishment’ in the 1950s and ‘60s. In his book, Victory Denied . . . Why Your Son Faces Death in “NO-WIN WARS,”(Chas. Hallberg & Company, 1966). Maj. Roberts did more to expose the real goals of the United Nations and those in the Pentagon and State Department who were driven to destroy the United States. There are some things we already know are true and some we suspected were true. What’s astonishing was the ordeal Maj. Roberts went through for telling his fellow citizens the truth and how little the American people really knew about his plight then or know about it now.

After reading a few intro pages, I came to an editorial from The September 4, 1965, edition of the Chicago Tribune. Written by J. Howard Wood, Publisher, and W. D. Maxwell, Editor, titled “One Man’s Battle,” it told the story of the government’s removal of Maj. Roberts from active duty status. Maj. Roberts made a speech before the Daughters of the American Revolution that “offended army censorship and government officials.” He was in danger of losing his position in the army as well as his military pension for speaking the truth about the socialist/United Nation’s takeover of our government.

Maj. Roberts didn’t take it lying down. A court decision in his favor returned him to full duty with all the attending benefits to which he had previously been entitled. He demonstrated incredible courage against those who wanted to keep him and others like him silent—a sinister enemy that sought to silence American military men. His was a “war” against the real enemies of free speech.

The “rule” that silenced Maj. Roberts and others was instituted during the administration of John F. Kennedy. It emerged from the noted “Fulbright memorandum” that Sen. J. William Fulbright (D-AR) sent to the president in 1961. At the time, the senator was chairman of the foreign relations committee and was concerned that members of the military were discussing the dangers of communism with such intensity and frequency that they could only be viewed as suffering from right-wing radicalism. The danger was far greater if men, such as Maj. Roberts, told the public what he knew.

Fulbright also claimed that right-wingers believed that social legislation was the by-product of socialism, which was another name for communism. If members of the military were allowed to speak openly against communism, voters wouldn’t support the new administration’s social programs and foreign policies, all of which were socialistic in nature.

A mentor to Bill Clinton, Fulbright was an anti-anti-Communist; and anyone who knows the rules of positive and negative integers understands that an anti-anti-communist is a communist. He strongly believed in peace through education, although the content of his educational programs might prove to be more in keeping with socialist indoctrination. The September 4, 1965, Chicago Tribune editorial didn’t let the senator off the hook. It claimed his goal was to “embark the [Kennedy] administration on a campaign to suppress any statements by military men which might be offensive to the Kremlin” because they were starting to “‘mellow’” and were “moving toward ‘convergence’ with the United States and the west.”

This led to the total cessation of all “seminars and troop indoctrination programs relating to the real nature of communism.” Whether such indoctrination was in the form of military propaganda or honest education may only be relevant in relation to the Domino Theory expounded upon by government officials—the belief that if one nation fell to communism, other surrounding nations would fall as well.

Most Americans were told that our government was trying to find a peaceful solution to the Cold War, but convergence means to have a union with, something they would have rejected from the outset. Americans would have demanded to know why the United States government would want to converge with a communist dictatorship. Silencing our military and keeping them in the dark regarding the dangers of communism to any free nation was only part of the solution to prevent a disgruntled electorate. Further, this was right before the Cuban Missile Crisis when American’s saw how evil the Soviet Union really was.

At the time, Maj. Roberts was an information officer at the time. He was stationed with the American 24^th division in West Germany where he was creating a program to train the troops about the goals and dangers of communism. That assignment ended shortly after the highly decorated commander of his division, Maj. Gen. Edwin A. Walker, was warned by his superiors because of his vocal belief that some politicians were sympathetic to communism and that required the election of pro-American conservatives. Walker had already been reassigned in November 1961 for putting John Birch Society literature in the hands of US troops stationed in West Germany. He was relieved of his command by Elvis J. Stahr, Secretary of the Army, because of his outspoken anti-Communist activities. According to the web site of the society named for Walker, “in the John F. Kennedy administration, anti-Communism was an unpardonable ‘crime’” (www.eoffshore.com, Par. 1).

Walker’s affiliation with the infamous John Birch Society did not bode well for him. Such membership made him a right-wing radical in the eyes of more moderate Americans. The fact that Maj. Arch E. Roberts served under Walker’s command and his willingness to speak before organizations steeped in American patriotism made him another target in Kennedy administration’s efforts to silence hard-line-anti-Communists.

As the September 4, 1965, Chicago Tribune editorial stated: “The Roberts case is unlikely even to provide a footnote in the history books, but it nevertheless provides an interesting reflection of the fantasies cherished in Washington these last few years. Chief of these is that the way to deal with communism is to give it assurance that the United States entertains only the kindest thoughts about it and in no circumstances will speak ill of it.” (This was certainly a long held policy until President Reagan decided it was time for diplomacy and tact to take a back seat and for true leadership to take control of the situation.)

But in the early 1960s, the left was bent on pacifying America’s enemies. Unfortunately, pacification and appeasement are often bought with a price—in this case the sovereignty of the United States. Further, any assumption that the left viewed communism as a threat was probably untrue. More than likely, they viewed it as way a to become the powerful SuperParent of the masses and the great provider of social services (also called goodies) from the national treasury. Who could defeat them down the road if they were willing to care for each citizen the way Sen. Huey P. Long (D-LA) suggested—“from cradle to grave?”

According to Roberts, however, those concepts were not new. Washington had decided long before the election of John F. Kennedy that America’s sovereignty was temporary at best and a world government, ruled by elites, would become the “caretaker” of the world.

In the preface to his book, Maj. Roberts stated that his work was “motivated by the Korean betrayal and the war in Vietnam constitutes the urgent reason for its publication.” Also revealed was that elected and non-elected officials in government allowed the United States to become nothing more than a puppet of the United Nations.

Maj. Roberts relied on public speeches he presented from 1962 through 1965, along with intelligence gathered by private investigators he employed while trying to expose the civilian newspaper, Overseas Weekly, which American troops received through the US Army. He also relied on public records from various Senate and House of Representatives committees, and Pentagon and State Department documents. His findings paint a startling picture of our government’s betrayal of the citizens it swore to protect and the Constitution it swore to uphold.

His story starts with a quote from the September 12, 1954, New York Sunday News. “The U.S. (upon admission of Red China to the United Nations) will push for approval of a joint U.S.-Philippine plan to weld the military forces of all sixty member nations into a workable international army.” That the newspaper blatantly wrote a piece that announced the creation of an international army had to frighten Americans who had experienced the ravages of World War II, the Korean War, and were soon to be knee-deep in the Vietnam War.

According to Maj. Roberts, millions of Americans knew that such political pressures under the guise of International Peace and Security would undermine the US Constitution. Those who studied the United Nations and its Charter knew full well that the greatest threat to the sovereignty of the United States could be found in the push to give the Security Council of the United Nations total control over world military power.

Lest you think it was only Democrats who backed the plan, guess again. Maj. Roberts noted the headline of a story from the June 20, 1965, edition of the Denver Post, which read, “Six House GOP’s Seek Backing on U.S. Force for U.N.” He called the public relations campaign “astounding” because it glorified the achievement of world security through the creation of an International Peace Force, manned and financed by Americans.

Again, millions of Americans knew better and were convinced that such a military build-up under the control of a world body would create a totalitarian, one-world government. They weren’t wrong to believe as they did. The conditions under which our military fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars were largely hidden from appropriate scrutiny, although the press stirred up a phony controversy to gin up anti-war sentiment. However, the conditions under which American soldiers now fight in Iraq, where the slightest “slip” produces a court-martial, should alert all Americans that our military is answering to someone or something other than the President of the United States—the supposed Commander in Chief of the American military.

Maj. Roberts’ claim that the United Nations has power over American military personnel was validated in the UN Charter. Article 24 states, “In order to ensure prompt and effective action by the United Nations, its Members confer on the Security Council primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security.” Some say the extent of that responsibility was open to interpretation. However, Article 42 stated that the organization could engage in military action “by air, sea, or land forces as may be necessary, to maintain or restore international peace and security . . .” That fiat included the power to authorize the use of force for purposes of self-defense and other purposes. It’s the “other purposes” that confers upon the UN far more power than any sovereign nation should allow it to have.

That the left regularly insists on UN intervention as a means to settle disputes without war is almost laughable in light of the military power and authority that was handed over to the organization almost six decades ago. Clearly, the left isn’t looking for an alternative; it just wants to keep the power where the UN Charter says it should be kept.

Even more astounding is the source of weaponry and manpower when the Security Council votes to engage in a military action. Maj. Roberts was all too aware that the United States had no debate or veto power regarding who would serve, where the military equipment would come from because most would come largely from this nation. National sovereignty wasn’t subject to debate or veto, either. If the Security Council voted to go into a particular nation with military force, it could do so without hesitation.

This put the UN in a power position above the United States government, its Constitution, and its laws. To soften the idea that the UN would intervene in the domestic tranquility of any nation, Article 2, paragraph 7 prevented intervention in matters normally handled by a member state within its own borders.

However, any limit on UN jurisdiction was deliberately camouflaged by another public relations campaign that painted the organization as a world body of great benevolence that must secure the approval of its members. It is unclear if our World Heritage Sites, which put American land in the hands of and under the control of the United Nations, are example of such benevolence. As far as Maj. Roberts was concerned, whether the goals of the UN were good or evil, carefully constructed public relations campaigns obscured the dangers and power inherent in a world body having such extensive powers. It was this belief that led him on a campaign to alert the American people. By delving into the internationalist agenda and identifying who controlled the UN military forces, Maj. Roberts unearthed the most vile and deadly plan to destroy the United States from within, thereby destroying what little remained of its sovereignty.

Part 2 of this series will examine what Maj. Roberts called “The Strange Case of General Vasiliev.” The imminent rise of world government may still seem astounding, even when the word globalism is bandied about like confetti to test the will of the American people. Even more alarming is the extent to which Soviet and other foreign nationals controlled the United States military and how American soldiers have been serving under the UN banner for decades.

Not long after Part 1 of this series was posted on NewsWithViews, I received e-mail from many concerned, intelligent and insightful readers. One was from a gentleman who shared what it was like to return to the United States after WW II. Somehow that e-mail and several others were lost in the folds of my mail server. Lloyd’s surfaced a few days before the total crash of my computer. It deserves mentioning.

He said my column took him back to the signing of the UN Treaty in San Francisco on June 26, 1945. Our returning soldiers were thinking about living a decent life “with no threats of war or governance by tyrants.” Instead they saw “many nations forming a coalition that would force us into a One World Government.” While he knew political leaders were involved in the deception, he didn’t believe it could happen without the corporate takeover of America, which he said would lead to the “Communization of America.”

His viewpoint makes sense if we understand Hitler’s Third Way—a hybrid of communism and capitalism that commercializes the government and allows its coffers to be filled with tax revenues even though it produces nothing. The government maintains control over what appear to be privately owned companies (and even non-profits), places their people in charge of them, continues to provide government grants and corporate welfare, which allows CEOs to earn prohibitive salaries and bonuses. And guess who’s footing the bill? But I digress.

For decades Lloyd watched the erosion of the America of our Founders. At some point, he was in contact with Maj. Roberts’ program, which came into being “so the people of this nation could have the Constitution returned to them.” He said the effort was good but it “requires the will of many people [for it to happen]. That’s the hard part.”

He’s right. It is hard to fight multi-layered factions of the powerful and greedy who believe they have been chosen to create utopia—one that fits only their beliefs and worldview. It’s hard to fight the agenda of the secularists, the globalists, the fascists, and the communists. How do you fight those who believe there is no God, no heaven, no hell, and all religions should be abolished in favor of an agreed-upon world religion that’s based on fables, fairytales, and even the diabolical? How do you reckon with those who claim national boundaries should be obliterated and ethnic identities denied in order to eliminate world poverty (as if that would really happen)? What that mankind would understand that his machinations are for naught and all is not so well in his rebellious little corners of the world.

This, in part, was what Maj. Arch E. Roberts understood when he revealed the plans of government leaders and internationalists who wanted nothing less than to rule a world government with its own currency, military, laws, and religion. The government’s efforts to silence military men from speaking out against communism were of prime importance if our military was to serve (unbeknownst to most Americans) under the new supra-national government. Even the mechanisms for making it happen were well concealed so the “Nimrodites” could continue their quest to build another Tower of Babel complete with their own Nimrod. Look at the facts . . .

The Strange Case of Dr. Vasiliev

Maj. Roberts wrote about what he called “The Strange Case of General Vasiliev” because he believed it was an excellent example of “international deceit.” Most of us never heard of the man, but who he was and the position he held in the early UN told volumes about the intent of that organization. This also validates that our own government was knee-deep in the global quagmire long before “global” became a household word.

“Planning for Peace” and the United Nations Takeover of the United States

After five or so decades of foreign plunder of the America I knew and loved as a child, I now believe it’s possible for this nation to be destroyed without a single shot being fired. I also know that too many were caught up in complacent living to take a stand against the political and legal evils that befell us. Yes, I’ve said the word that makes folks cringe—evil. But it’s not just a word; it’s a condition of the heart that allows men and women to kill, lie, manipulate, destroy, and steal to gain power. It’s what pushes them to betray others, even those close to them.

Of course, I know it’s difficult to confront those who believe that rule by elites is better than representative republican rule, but I’d like to believe we have the power to stop the destruction of the government the Founders gave us and prevent the imposition of one that’s akin to the twin cities destroyed by God’s hand. Untangling the most daunting knot doesn’t have to be rocket science, so perhaps there are some who would be willing to sacrifice everything, as did those who fought for liberty from Great Britain. Does it all sound farfetched? Just look at the facts . . .

“Planning for Peace” is a 1965 public document that contains the senate hearings on world socialist legislation. Why our senate was even discussing the topic is ample evidence that something deceptive was afoot. According to Maj. Roberts, hearings were held on Resolution 32 before the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, May 11-12, 1965. Testimony contained in the document “represents largely the views held by one-worlders, collectivists, and socialists who are government financed and/or supported by tax-exempt foundations.”

Any opposition found in the document was “sprinkled in from citizen backed organizations.” Maj. Roberts said the “opposition” was a smokescreen to create the illusion of national consensus,” something the enemies of the US are very good at manufacturing out of whole cloth. The “Planning for Peace” records provide a smorgasbord of anti-American comments from those present at the Senate hearings. Maj. Roberts cited several examples, which he “deliberately organized in the order of the five principles presented in Resolution 32.”

Adrian Fisher, Deputy Director, Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (a telling title), wanted the creation of the right type of organization to “‘monitor a comprehensive test ban treaty, a freeze on the numbers and characteristics of strategic bombers and missiles, major arms reduction measures and comprehensive disarmament.’” Fisher also said: “‘these steps would clearly require considerable change in the existing practices and attitudes of nations.’” He was right. Remember, a citizenry that can bear arms can also protect itself from his kind of tyranny. That’s a hard practice and attitude to change . . . may their efforts bear no fruit for them.

Professor Emile Benoit, from Americans for Democratic Action, said the issues “‘underlying disarmament’” involve substitution. Okay, let’s try it. Let’s get rid of national defense establishments and replace them with a “‘supra-national inspection and defense establishment.’” Then we can get rid of national defense forces and replace them with “‘supra-national security guarantees.’” Benoit’s substitution plan was solid proof that all nations, including the US, were to be denied the right to defend themselves. Instead, national defense, if there was still a reason to have it, would be placed in the arbitrary and all-too-capricious hands of a global military that could be summoned to discipline or destroy any nation (or region) at the whim of the UN.

The words that should have shocked all Americans decades earlier were brought to light at the Mut Zur Ethic “Courage to Take a Moral Stand” Conference in Switzerland on November 26, 2001. Author Theresa Dunford (The United Nations) quoted John McManus’ The UN, the EU, and America in her reference to a speech given on November 26, 2001 at that conference. The words that follow come from the transcript of that speech.

“I can recall as a boy hearing General Dwight Eisenhower’s voice telling the American people that the war in Europe had ended. It was in May 1945 when he stated that ‘the forces of the United Nations are victorious’ at a time when the United Nations organization hadn’t even been founded.”

Dunford also cited Eustace Mullins’ “The World Order: Our Secret Rulers” (1992) to expose the UN. Mullins wrote, “….the Rockefellers donated the most expensive parcel of real estate in Manhattan for its world headquarters. It was against this background that the Governor of New York, Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller, addressed a meeting at the Sheraton Park Hotel on July 26, 1968, in which he called for the creation of ‘a new world order’.” The Rockefellers run one of the primary international banking corporations.

Evidently treason has always been a bi-partisan effort. There’s just no other way to define the duplicitous actions of government leaders. There’s been ample opportunity and mega-support from Americans to stop paying for the UN to exist and to remove us from that disgraceful organization . . . and it never happens. Bring up even the idea of a global government or a new world order with a politician and s/he’ll tell you it’s all just a conspiracy theory that has no merit. Baloney!

Now, try to imagine how Maj. Arch E. Roberts felt when he saw the American flag waving next to the UN flag at Pusan Headquarters, the Supreme UN Command in Korea. How did he feel when he realized that American soldiers were buried in a UN cemetery under the flag of a diabolical world government? And why was there a UN command in Korea in the first place? Were they Monday-morning quarterbacks or on-the-field refs? If they wanted a Soviet style world government, why were we were there fighting the Communists—or were we?

Maj. Roberts knew the war was finagled by the UN and State Department to assert worldwide UN military authority. It was the world’s greatest power grab based on the lie of eternal world peace. To Maj. Roberts, the UN was a direct threat to American principles that generations of US citizens “dedicated their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor” to defend and preserve. He was right. Strong interference with his pro-American educational training program for the troops in Germany resulted in its shut down because of UN, State Department, and Pentagon policies.

The Commanders of America’s Military Forces

I’ve heard politicians debate “winning the war” vs. “winning the peace.” Conservatives prefer a combination while liberals want to dialogue us into “peaceful” concessions with everyone. (Maybe they should start dialoguing with unborn babies—their most ardent enemies, considered good only for spare body parts.) Sorry . . . truthful digression . . .

Winning the war first is not exactly rocket science, but something bugged me about both positions. A little research proved that dialoguing and the “win the war, then the peace” methods are used by the UN to secure world domination through alleged “wars of liberation.” First they allegedly liberated everyone from Communism, even though they’re all Communists, and now they’re on a campaign to liberate humanity from Judeo-Christianity and God. Thanks, but no thanks. Check this out . . .

According to Maj. Roberts, the Hon. John T. Wood of Idaho spoke before the US Flag Committee in New York (October 10, 1951). Regarding the UN Charter, he said, “. . . a perusal of articles 43 to 51, inclusive, will reveal the fact that it was designed as an instrument of force.” He was right. The UN is not a playground for peaceniks. It’s a not-so-new-age world body that destroys individual liberty and vanquishes national sovereignty by force.

It was the 1970s. My black buddy Joe told me about a job opening for a Graphic Designer in the art department at WJZ-TV, an ABC affiliate television station in Baltimore. Dick Weisberg, the white department head liked my portfolio, thought I was a good fit for his team and hired me.

I was very nervous those early days working at the TV station. Black graphic designers were rare and I felt pressure to, as they say, “represent”. My first day, a white coworker took me into the dark room and showed me how to operate the photostat machine. One lesson was not enough. And yet, I could not bring myself to ask for additional help. I eventually became a master of making photostats, but ruined a lot of expensive photo paper in the process. I stuffed the ruined photo paper down my pants leg, smuggling it out of the building for disposal. It was a silly thing to do. My white coworkers would have been happy to help me. Foolishly, as the first and only black member of the six person art department team, I felt I had to be perfect.

I was eventually promoted to supervisor of the art department. Artists can be a bit edgy and emotional. I jokingly said I was promoted because management perceived me as less crazy than my coworkers. Interestingly, black associates demeaned my promotion to supervisor claiming it was due to Affirmative Action.

How did this black kid from the projects end up working in the art department of Baltimore's number one rated TV station?

Displaying artistic talents at an early age, I was a sensitive child. This does not mean I was a chump or a wimp. I have always been in tune with the vibe of whatever was happening around me. My parents, four younger siblings and I lived in a government project highrise building in which the vibe was violent, angry and bitter. So much for the Democrats' and liberal's lie that happiness comes from the government providing everything.

When my dad broke the color barrier and became a Baltimore City firefighter, we moved out of the projects and the city to a black suburban community, Pumphrey.

This meant I would begin 7^th grade bused to the neighboring newly integrated Brooklyn Park Junior/Senior high school. Going from attending school with all blacks to practically all whites was a culture shock. I felt invisible.

Mr Gomer, my white art teacher, met with my dad and praised him for supporting my artistic talents. Mr Gomer said a lot of dads think art is for sissies.

Every month, the top 4 or 5 paintings from the school's art classes were displayed in the lobby. More times than I can remember, I had a painting in the lobby exhibit. This told me that I had a gift that should be pursued. But, what if Liberalism ruled the day and some knucklehead administrator deemed it unfair to select the best paintings; claiming that it is cruel and hurtful not to display the paintings of every child who picked up a paint brush. Liberals tend to have disdain for achievers. Liberals seek to spread mediocrity equally; everyone gets a trophy and no keeping score.

Depriving kids of the thrill of victory and shielding them from the agony of defeat stifles their development; creating weak adults.

Realizing I had artistic talent, I wrote the mayor, governor and a few senators requesting a scholarship to art college. After interviews and reviewing my artwork, I received numerous mayoral and senatorial scholarships to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Before graduating college, I landed a graphic designer job at white owned Fred Kale & Associates in Baltimore. My white supervisor Chuck managed my transformation from graphic artist wannabe to a professional graphic designer.

From Fred Kale, I became the first black artist at Golnick Advertising Agency. From Golnick, I took the position of art director at white owned Park Sign Company in Baltimore. While employed at Park Sign, I was hired at WJZ-TV.

During college, I worked part-time for Ray the white owner of Dell Display Company. I also worked part-time for Joe Canale Signs. Joe Canale was Italian. Joe and Ray were really decent and fair businessmen.

Oh, I forgot to mention that after college while seeking a job, a white businessman, John Hollacheck hired me part-time. Mr. Hollacheck offered me “free” office space in a prestigious building to launch my own graphic design firm. Immaturity, lack of confidence and fear caused me to squander the opportunity.

Reflecting back on all the men who helped to move my career forward, my dad is number one. He believed in my talent, encouraged and promoted me. Every other man was white. So much for the Democrats' and liberal's lie that says white America, particularly white men, are burning the midnight oil thinking of ways to keep black men down. They call it “institutional racism”.

How did I, a black youth, gain favor with these white men? Could it be that they were decent men who saw a good kid trying to pursue his American dream?

This was the Yellow Brick Road which led to me becoming supervisor of the art department at WJZ-TV. Over my fifteen year employ at the TV station, I won design awards and felt I had achieved my goals.

In 1993, folks were losing their jobs due to downsizing. Rush Limbaugh encouraged a few callers into his radio show to view it as an opportunity to pursue their dreams.

After discussing it with my amazing wife, I gave the TV station my two weeks notice. I resigned to pursue another talent, a career as a singer/songwriter.

But that's another story.

BAGHDAD — The United States has conducted an escalating campaign of deadly airstrikes against the extremists of the Islamic State for more than a month. But that appears to have done little to tamp down the conspiracy theories still circulating from the streets of Baghdad to the highest levels of Iraqi government that the C.I.A. is secretly behind the same extremists that it is now attacking.

“We know about who made Daesh,” said Bahaa al-Araji, a deputy prime minister, using an Arabic shorthand for the Islamic State on Saturday at a demonstration called by the Shiite cleric Moktada al-Sadr to warn against the possible deployment of American ground troops. Mr. Sadr publicly blamed the C.I.A. for creating the Islamic State in a speech last week, and interviews suggested that most of the few thousand people at the demonstration, including dozens of members of Parliament, subscribed to the same theory. (Mr. Sadr is considered close to Iran, and the theory is popular there as well.)


When an American journalist asked Mr. Araji to clarify if he blamed the C.I.A. for the Islamic State, he retreated: “I don’t know. I am one of the poor people,” he said, speaking fluent English and quickly stepping back toward the open door of a chauffeur-driven SUV. “But we fear very much. Thank you!”

The prevalence of the theory in the streets underscored the deep suspicions of the American military’s return to Iraq more than a decade after its invasion, in 2003. The casual endorsement by a senior official, though, was also a pointed reminder that the new Iraqi government may be an awkward partner for the American-led campaign to drive out the extremists.

The Islamic State, also known by the acronym ISIS, has conquered many of the predominantly Sunni Muslim provinces in Iraq’s northeast, aided by the alienation of many residents to the Shiite-dominated government of the former prime minister, Nuri Kamal al-Maliki. President Obama has insisted repeatedly that American military action against the Islamic State depended on the installation of a more inclusive government in Baghdad, but he moved ahead before it was complete.

The Parliament has not yet confirmed nominees for the crucial posts of interior or defense minister, in part because of discord between Sunni and Shiite factions, and the Iraqi news media has reported that it may be more than a month before the posts are filled.

The demonstration on Saturday was the latest in a series of signals from Shiite leaders or militias, especially those considered close to Iran, warning the United States not to put its soldiers back on the ground. Mr. Obama has pledged not to send combat troops, but he seems to have convinced few Iraqis. “We don’t trust him,” said Raad Hatem, 40.

Haidar al-Assadi, 40, agreed. “The Islamic State is a clear creation of the United States, and the United States is trying to intervene again using the excuse of the Islamic State,” he said.

Shiite militias and volunteers, he said, were already answering the call from religious leaders to defend Iraq from the Islamic State without American help. “This is how we do it,” he said, adding that the same forces would keep American troops out. “The main reason Obama is saying he will not invade again is because he knows the Islamic resistance” of the Shiite militias “and he does not want to lose a single soldier.”

The leader of the Islamic State, for his part, declared on Saturday that he defied the world to stop him.

“The conspiracies of Jews, Christians, Shiites and all the tyrannical regimes in the Muslim countries have been powerless to make the Islamic State deviate from its path,” the leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, declared in an audio recording released over the Internet, using derogatory terms from early Islamic history to refer to Christians and Shiites.

“The entire world saw the powerlessness of America and its allies before a group of believers,” he said. “People now realize that victory is from God, and it shall not be aborted by armies and their arsenals.”

Many at the rally in Baghdad said they welcomed airstrikes against Mr. Baghdadi’s Islamic State but not American ground forces, the position that Mr. Sadr has taken. Many of the 30 lawmakers backed by Mr. Sadr — out of a Parliament of 328 seats — attended the rally.

Mr. Sadr’s supporters opposed Mr. Maliki, the former prime minister, and many at the rally were quick to criticize the former government for mistakes like failing to build a more dependable army. “We had a good army, so where is this army now?” asked Waleed al-Hasnawi, 35. “Maliki gave them everything, but they just left the battlefield.”

But few if any blamed Mr. Maliki for alienating Sunnis, as American officials assert, by permitting sectarian abuses under the Shiite-dominated security forces.

Omar al-Jabouri, 31, a Sunni Muslim from a predominantly Shiite neighborhood of Baghdad who attended the rally and said he volunteers with a Shiite brigade, argued that Mr. Maliki had alienated most Iraqis, regardless of their sect.

“He did not just exclude and marginalize the Sunni people; he ignored the Shiite people, too,” Mr. Jabouri said. “He gave special help to his family, his friends, people close to him. He did not really help the Shiite people, as many people think.”

But the Islamic State was a different story, Mr. Jabouri said. “It is obvious to everyone that the Islamic State is a creation of the United States and Israel.”

U.S. Allying With Terror States And Terrorist Organization To Fight A Terror State And A Terrorist Organization!-Posted on Shoebat.com-By Ben Barrack-On September 22, 2014:

The idea of the U.S. helping Syria’s Bashar al-Assad fight ISIS would come with a majorly embarrassing admission on the part of the Obama Administration that it chose to back the wrong horse in Syria, especially with all those red lines. Back in June, when Iran and Turkey were collaborating in Ankara, there was actually talk of the U.S. and Iran aligning in the fight against ISIS as well. That didn’t sit well with just about everyone as most political experts see Iran as the biggest threat to the U.S.

Now, the New York Times is reporting on an interview it had with a close adviser to Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah. What was revealed is that the U.S. is actually fighting its own proxy war in the region by arming the Lebanese Army, which works with… uh, Hezbollah:

BEIRUT, Lebanon — They are sworn enemies who insist they will never work together, but in practice, Hezbollah and the United States are already working — separately — on a common goal: to stop the extremist Islamic State from moving into Lebanon, where Hezbollah is the most powerful military and political player and currently shares with Washington an interest in stability.

Weeks after Hezbollah, the Shiite militant group and political party, helped repel an Islamic State attack on the town of Arsal on the Syrian border, new American weapons are flowing to help the Lebanese Army — which coordinates with Hezbollah — to secure the frontier. American intelligence shared with the army, according to Lebanese experts on Hezbollah, has helped the organization stop suicide attacks on its domain in southern Beirut.

“The international community has an interest in isolating the Syria crisis,” Mohammad Afif, Hezbollah’s newly appointed head of public relations and a media adviser to its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, said last week in a rare conversation. In the course of the informal hourlong meeting, he shed light on how the party views the often contradictory tangle of alliances and interests in Syria’s civil war, many of them in flux as President Obama contemplates expanding his military campaign against the Islamic State from Iraq into Syria.

It’s now being learned that Iran is attempting to use the fight against ISIS – and offering assistance to the U.S. in the effort – to gain nuclear concessions:

Republican lawmakers are raising alarm that Secretary of State John Kerry is putting too much on the table in talks over Iran’s nuclear program — as Tehran reportedly tries to leverage its cooperation in the Islamic State crisis in return for nuclear concessions from the U.S. and its allies.

The White House denies that any such trade-off is in the works.

“The United States will not be in a position of trading aspects of Iran’s nuclear program to secure commitments to take on ISIL,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Monday, using an alternate acronym for the Islamic State. “These two issues are entirely separate.”

Of course, Josh Earnest never lies.

Back in June, there were reports that Iran and the U.S. would collaborate in Iraq against ISIS. This charge was given credibility by walk backs and denials by Iran’s leaders:

It is one of the more intriguing twists of the Iraq crisis: the prospect of cooperation between the US and Iran in the scramble to bolster Nouri al-Maliki’s beleaguered government against Sunni extremists seeking to set up an Islamic emirate.

Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian president, has made clear how concerned Tehran is about the success of Isis fighters who have captured swaths of territory – even suggesting on Saturday that Iran might work with the US to halt their advance. On Sunday, however, the tone was markedly more cautious, with an Iranian official warning that “any foreign military intervention in Iraq” would only complicate the crisis. “Iraq has the capacity and necessary preparations for the fight against terrorism and extremism,” the foreign ministry insisted.

It does look, though, as if Maliki can count on some discreet help. Qasim Suleimani, commander of the Quds force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, has been visiting Baghdad – though Tehran quickly denied this. Suleimani has been a key, if shadowy, figure for the last decade, pulling strings and lubricating links with Iraqi politicians and militias, some with long experience in fighting US forces after the 2003 invasion.

In the weeks and months since, the Obama administration has denied working with Iran. This is belied by reports that it is providing weapons to the Lebanese army, which collaborates with Hezbollah, which is an arm of… Iran.

So, let’s recap. The U.S. is considering – or is doing so already – working with Iran to fight ISIS; it’s already assisting Hezbollah in the effort. As Shoebat.com has reported, the wheeling and dealing behind the scenes between Turkey and Iran earlier this year is about creating and exploiting situations to ultimately give Syria to Turkey and Iraq to Iran.

If the U.S. was truly concerned about preventing that – which it should be – the one regime it should cooperate with relative to ISIS is the one led by Bashar al-Assad in Syria. He is the one with far more immediate concerns, like self-preservation and keeping power.

Yet, the U.S. is deciding to arm the ‘moderate’ rebels who are ultimately no match for ISIS.

As Shoebat.com has reported, the real collaboration is taking place between Turkey and Iran. Turkey desperately wants the removal of Assad and Iran is willing to trade him away for Iraq.

Iran and Syria are officially designated State Sponsors of Terrorism; Turkey should be but is instead a NATO ally. Hezbollah and ISIS are both officially designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

The Obama administration’s actions suggest that it believes Syria’s Assad regime is worse than Turkey, Iran, Hezbollah and ISIS.
