Be Encouraged 2/19/12

Howdy all!  Sorry about not sharing for a couple of days.  It’s been busy at the compound.  Went to a local Tea Party committee meeting, and ended up becoming a PCO.  Uh oh, looks like Tommy Kiley is getting really involved!  Even got my first message; Josh Romney is coming to the Tri Cities,WA on February 21st at 9-10 am.  Sorry about the hour, but they didn't ask me to schedule.  Then, the Mrs. got her new wheels and I was playing with them!  Who says those power scooters aren’t dangerous?  Just try to get around the corner at top speed.  Guess I need to learn how to repair sheet rock.

Any hoo,..

How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! ~ Psalm 116:5

Strangers are welcome because there is room enough for them all, and therefore the old inhabitants are not jealous of them; the laws protect them sufficiently so that they have no need of the patronage of great men; and everyone will enjoy securely the profits of his industry. But if he does not bring a fortune with him, he must work and be industrious to live. ~ Benjamin Franklin, Those Who Would Remove to America, 1784

Our nation has been the shining city on the hill for so long.  People from all over the world; our ancestors, our relatives, have given up everything they had to come to the new world.  And they thrived.  They innovated.  They brought their ideas to America so they could prosper and add to the shine.  Many more just came to be free from tyranny, from religious persecution.  And since our Lord was so kind to guide our founders to create such an open hearted land, they were all welcomed; there was room for them all.  There was a place for every one of every stature.   But, it was expected that one would apply themselves to benefit the community – the industry of the community.  That is still the expectation today, or is it?  This was not a socialist ideal.  It was an American ideal.  It still is.  Real Americans who wish to see our land prosper were expected to contribute their crafts and expertise.  That could be a baker, a blacksmith, accountant, millwright, cop, fireman, or numerous other careers.  While improving the community, they improved their own pursuit of happiness.  Those who want to take the goods and services from others without so much as a thank you believe they deserve all that they get.  I would surely like to know how they come to that conclusion.  I can’t come up with a single sensible explanation.  I can say they are lazy, greedy, and uncaring of anyone but themselves, but that would be unfair.  I could say they are abusing what gifts they get.  I could say that they would rather eat bonbons and watch soap operas than lose a drop of sweat.  But that wouldn’t be fair.  But that is exactly correct.  And they would waste enough energy to perform a week’s work in a rock quarry just to prove they didn’t need to.  Or worse, they would take get together and ‘rally’ just as a jump-off point to damage the property and happiness of others.  That is not what the founders left us.  Yet we have members of our government, elected employees at all levels of government, as well as selfishly appointed dimwit elites, who think it’s great these lowlifes get to use their first amendment rights, while castigating those who try to protect everyone’s constitutional rights.  That is screwed up.  I can’t think of any other phrase that fits.  And I can only come up with one suitable solution; expel the elected employees and their apparatchiks.  That’s one reason I became a precinct commission officer.  Found out my precinct has over a thousand registered republicans, but hasn’t had a PCO is who knows how long.  I get to go to the precinct caucus, and get an automatic seat at the county convention.  I could go to state and even the national convention in Tampa.  Now that is a way of getting the goobers out.  What’s yours?

Take care, God bless,

AND STAND WITH ISRAEL!!
