Life as a College Tea Party Patriot

Day two of living in the People's Republic of Obamanism. People still rubbing in my face. I signed off Facebook for a while. They won! Why do they still want to rub it in? There is no place for me here. I am on a train that is going nowhere...but I cannot get off it. No one knows where this train is going. But we are all stuck on it. America is dead, prolife is dead, the American Catholic Church is dead. It all means nothing to these people. My father gave me some good advice yesterday. He said despite all the world falling to pieces, to better myself and to live my life as best as possible. Unfortunately I have had a hard time keeping positive. America is dead...what does lie ahead for us? Where do we belong in this new country? I honestly believe they would kill us off is they could. Who knows. We are on a road to nowhere.

  • Allison.  Yes, they are not gracious winners.  The fact that a majority of the population voted the way they did does not make them RIGHT.  I saw a post about how people in 20 of 21 countries would have also voted for Obama's re-election (as if they know about our constitution, freedom and liberty which makes our country different and exceptional?)  I am older, but we must reach your generation with information about Socialism and why it fails (or leads to tyranny).  I was thinking about it today, and when I was growing up, we had the USSR and could study it and learn from it's failures.  Today we have Greece, Spain and Italy which will also go under financially at some point (as we will too, unless changes are made).  Hang in there.  Don't be afraid to speak out and if you need help in forming your argument, post here on this site and you will get a wealth of information to help.  We need to reach out to your generation either through you tube, facebook and twitter.   We need to explain that "other people" paying for their healthcare, birth control, etc  might sound good.  But what is the incentive for "other people" to work for someone else?  Capitalism works because people are motivated to provide for themselves instead of working for some else.  Also, since our government foolishly spent all the social security money and medicare taxes collected over the years, young people are actually paying for retirees social security checks and healthcare with their taxes.  Go here to Hillsdale College and sign up for their free newsletter http://www.hillsdale.edu/news/imprimis.asp.  I think it will help you or at least make you feel less isolated.

  • I def will check it out! Thanks!
  • Yeah, I'm keeping a low profile here in liberal land. It's a party here. I guess we will see.
