Shooting at Philadelphia school

I included this because there is an evil that has crept into our lives. There has always been the gangster, the murderer, one corruption or another threatening whomever they chose to assault, but there is an intensity now, politicians seeking complete control of every aspect of our lives, government becoming dictatorial, the evil always threatening from the sidelines is now metastasizing itself, becoming bolder with every passing day, especially in the last forty some years.

When I was a boy going to High School in New Hampshire it was a common thing to see students driving their pick-up trucks to school and parking them in the parking lot with gun racks in the window holding shotguns and/or rifles.

There were NRA classes once a week at the high school and students enrolled in the NRA class brought their weapons to school with them in the morning, took them into the school and placed them in a designated set of lockers in the basement to hold till after school. There was no problem. No one thought anything about it. The NRA put on an excellent class teaching gun safety, how to handle your rifle or shotgun under various circumstances that are common during hunting, they were great classes, even the parents were encouraged to attend.

Now come forward and see the difference today, something evil has crept in and taken hold. There use to be prayer in school every morning, there use to be Christmas plays put on by different classes about the birth of Jesus. These things went with all of us through our high school years. The major thing was boys smoking in the boys room or running in the halls. Families went to church together on Sunday morning, the parking lots were filled. At 1200 A M, Christmas, churches would be in service celebrating the birth of Jesus. Once again come forward and see what has happened to our country. Look at the kind of people that we elect to office, look at the decline of morals, in respect, in our everyday language so often filled with vulgarity, coarseness and swearing, once diminutive now sadly becoming more and more the opposite.

Guns have always been part of our heritage, fathers taught their children the proper use of them and to have respect for them and, when that was found to be not practiced a walk to the woodshed was the rule of the day. Now you can’t even punish you child with out fear of some kind of reprisal.

It’s not the gun, it’s us, we as a people, as a society, we have changed, we have become what is dangerous not the gun, that’s just an instrument. In my opinion, If we don’t return to the ways of the past, the downward spiral in the decline of all that is good and proper will just continue to become worse, one thing exacerbated by the other, until we are locked in a cesspool of violence and vulgarity and, easily taken over like a dead-mans switch that has been released.

Spirit of control! What are the radicals that have changed our Country into; control of others lives because they cannot even control their own lives.. we call them Liberals! They want to tell you what you can do with your own children; have their own ideas that never work on how children should be raised,,, thus the school shootings. We must note that these shooting problems we have now are a direct result of what they insisted on!

I saw a post hear about mental disorder which brings about the desire to control others. A definition of Liberal? Brother, I have hunted in your State when serving our Nation. A fellow serviceman and friend lived in Franklin! All we needed is our service card and we could hunt. You have a great State and God bless NH! When I was very young I visited a cousin/uncle and family. They were avid hunters and had guns on almost every wall.

I wanted to do as many children... let us play cowboy and indian with our cap pistols.. I was told that is not allowed.. never point a gun at anyone, even a cap pistol unless in self defense. Later, while serving still, that cousin came to my base and we went out and partied! It turned out he was stationed at 3 miles away from our base at the proving grounds in Maryland.

My youngest son is the hunter in our family, although I use to hunt. My grandson got his first deer this year and I and was sent a picture. We know what our Second Amendment really was for and we need to keep that at all costs! The chance of getting America back to supporting real morals may not happen because of our Liberal media. Lying; sidestepping facts; and simply not reporting is all they do!

We lost so many avid hunters and sportsman such as John Wayne and so many others. I remember John was accused of punching a protester in an anti-war protest. I wish I would of been their as it would not be a simple punch and a hospital would not have been needed! We know it is the end times when evil is called good and those that support the rights of the citizens are called evil radicals! God bless. Virgil

Thanks Virgil, I enjoy what you have to say. Your right about N. H., it is a beautiful state, cloud covered mountains, trees that turn every color of the rainbow in the fall, fishing and hunting and all sorts of things for the little woman, then there's the food.
