For the past decade the Democrats have managed to defy gravity by bolting together an unlikely coalition of the richest and poorest Americans. It’s no secret. Ever since President Bush’s re-election in 2004, the pattern has been clear. People making above $100,000 and below $40,000 vote Democratic. The people in the middle vote Republican.
But now that top-bottom coalition is about to come apart, or lose its majority status at least. And the issue will be one that may loom larger than the debacle of Obamacare — the Keystone Pipeline.
Forget all that business about Barack Obama being the first African-American President, the child of poverty and discrimination who fought his way to the top through sheer brilliance and doggedness. Sure African-Americans vote 90 percent for him and form an indispensable part of his coalition. But Obama hasn’t done a thing for them since taking office except increase unemployment.
POLL: Should the Keystone Pipeline be built?
No, the real Obama is the one who came out of Harvard and Chicago Law Schools, picking up everything he knows in the faculty lounge. That’s where he met the people who taught him that middle Americans are frustrated yahoos “clinging to their guns and religion,” the ones who set him on the lunatic path of believing that what the weather is going to be like in 50 years is the most important issue facing America.
Obama’s critical support comes from the upper crust of America, the citizens who live comfortably sheltered in academia and the non-profit sector, who don’t care much about electricity or the manufacturing economy but who honestly believe that we can shut down the whole middle portion of the country and turn off the lights in order to save the world from the “pollution” of carbon dioxide.

Not so sure about the how much money makes you vote either way. I fall way, way, below $40,000. and I vote republican/conservative. Don't know how that was arrived at, but guess I'm the first to break that mold. I don't like liars, deceivers, or people who preach about no God. I am not for welfare unless it's for the elderly and disabled. No young lazy people need apply. So am I wrong?
I was for the keystone until I read the U S A would not get any of the oil. So, our gas prices would not decrease. We would benefit from Obama allowing companies to drill on all public and gov't lands. We have enough oil to supply all the U S A and some to spare. This is just nuts.
The Keystone pipeline is necessary to tie all of North America together with fuel necessary to the well being of us all in the US and Canada.
unless the RINOs find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws victory! ...AMNESTY for 30+ million illegal invaders.
A horse pile. We certainly can and should Boycott everything the left holds dear including all the ways they collect our had earned $$$. Tax boycott revolt for starters. Stop supporting them by Boycotting their employment, conpanies own by them- Heinz product, the movie and FM radio industry, airlines, public transit, trains and anything else own by these dirt bags or they will continue their war on humanity-Americans-conservatives-religus freedom. Unless every dime they own or make is taken from them they will take yours before too long. Crash them completely or eventually cease to exist.
I would love to see his coalition fall apart and Obama-fraud-care right along with it. Obama is going to remain until he pulled out by force and jailed.... But that will never happen. I really believe we will see a revolution and Martial Law before anything else happens...Too many commies in his administration and they only have one goal and that is to destroy what little of this country we have left. Congress and our military just sit by and watch it all happen.
The Millenial's have been trained to accept government assistance... the bulk of them are ok with living off of the government and the largess of their parents, relatives and friends. One only needs to look at who is present at most of the Tea Party and Patriot vents to see that it is not the Millenial's holding the signs or protesting...
Look at the 'Occupy Wall Street' crowd... that is the face of the Millenial's. However, not every Millenial is a socialist. The problem is that the socialist are more activist oriented, better organized and resourced. It is time for the parents of those Millenial's to tell them like it is and too encourage them to find work or leave home... once, they are off the tit of big government and their parents they may awaken to reality... that there really is no free lunch.
The Millenials have abandoned Obama as they realized he has been telling them a bunch of lies and are angry about the empty promise of jobs.
