School Plans to Require Skirts for Boys Due to Skyrocketing Numbers of Transgender Students

A north London private school has drawn up plans to introduce gender-neutral uniforms in response to a growing number of pupils questioning their gender identity.

Highgate school currently has an option for girls to wear a grey pleated skirt, but the school is consulting on a mix-and-match uniform policy which will not specify a different requirement for boys and girls.

Girls can currently wear grey trousers or skirts as well as the dark blue jackets and ties which make up the rest of the uniform. Boys may not wear a skirt and also have to wait until they are 16 to wear earrings.

Adam Pettitt, headmaster at the school, told the Sunday Times: “This generation is really questioning [if we are] being binary in the way we look at things.”

He said some former pupils had complained about the changes. “They write in and say if you left children to their own devices they would grow up differently and you are promoting the wrong ideas,” he said. {rickwells.us} ~ For decades Stephen Cohen taught and researched Russian politics at Princeton and NYU. He joined Tucker Carlson for a discussion the frenzied Russia preoccupations of the media and Democrats targeting President Trump... He doesn’t buy the fertilizer the Democrats are shoveling, that President Trump passed critical intelligence to the Russians in a meeting at the White House. Not only does Prof Cohen not believe it happened, he adds, “Nor have I ever, in these decades you mentioned ever heard an elected member of Congress say that we should have no relations with the Russians at all. Presumably that would include nuclear weapons control.” Cohen presumes it’s a Democrat, likely from the level of the idiocy that was coming out of his mouth, who asked what are the Russians doing in the White House anyway. He says, “Well, they’re doing, with President Trump the national security of our nation. Because what’s at stake here is a proposal by Putin of Russia, by Trump of America, to join hands, in an alliance against international terrorism.”...http://rickwells.us/intel-agencies-4th-govt-branch-sabotaging-trump-pro-russia-openness/

Ann Coulter names top politicos who should
be very worried about Mueller
by Scott Morefield
{bizpacreview.com} ~ Given the near-constant manufactured media hysteria surrounding supposed Russian meddling in the 2016 election and allegations of collusion with the Trump campaign... Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s appointment of former FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III as an outside special counsel to get to the bottom of things may very well be the best thing to happen to President Trump’s agenda. Mueller is widely regarded by responsible people on both sides as being above reproach, so it will be difficult to argue with his conclusions, once reached, and now that he and his staff will be doing their jobs, perhaps Congress can get on with doing theirs. While most of Trump’s supporters remain confident that there’s nothing of substance behind all the collusion smoke and are anxious for it to be over and proven once and for all, another great thing could come out of someone like Mueller digging into the whole matter…http://www.bizpacreview.com/2017/05/18/ann-coulter-names-top-politicos-worried-mueller-trumps-not-one-492468?utm_source=BizPac+Review+Email+Newsletter&utm_campaign=a1f17a7ed7-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_05_18&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_fbf9323fb3-a1f17a7ed7-31515453

American Greatness and the PLO
by Caroline Glick
{truthrevolt.org} ~ Eight years from now, China will outstrip the US as the world’s largest economy. In three years, Israeli GDP per capita will outstrip Japan’s. These two data points are useful to bear in mind as we consider the Trump administration’s sudden decision to go retro and embrace the liar-Clinton administration’s foreign policy on Israel from the early 1990s.

When then US president Bill liar-Clinton decided to embrace Yasser Arafat, the architect of modern terrorism, it seemed like a safe bet.

The US had just won the Cold War. With the demise of the Soviet Union, US dominance in the Middle East was unquestioned. Even then Syrian president Hafez Assad provided symbolic support for the US-led war against his Baathist counterpart Saddam Hussein.

Assad had no choice. His Soviet protector had just disappeared.

The PLO, for its part, had never been weaker. The Gulf states reacted to Arafat’s support for Saddam in the 1991 war by cutting the PLO off financially. The Palestinian uprising against Israel, which broke out in 1988, sputtered into oblivion in late 1990 because without Arab money, Arafat and his cronies couldn’t pay anyone to attack Israelis.

As for the Arabs, operating under the US’s protective shield, in 1993 the Arab world appeared impermeable to internal pressure. No one imagined that Arab nationalism or the reign of presidents for life, kings and emirs would ever be questioned.

As for Israel, its decision to bow to the US’s demand during the Gulf War to stand down and do nothing in response to Iraq’s unprovoked Scud missile attacks was informed by a sense that Israel could not afford to stand up to America. While many debated the wisdom of this conclusion, the fact was that Israel in 1991 was economically weak. Its per capita income stood at around $15,000. Its economy was entirely dependent on the US and Europe.

With America’s power at an all-time high, liar-Clinton and his people had every reason to believe that with minimal effort, they would be able to reach a peace deal between the Israelis and the PLO.

In the event, the assessment that peace would be an easy effort turned out to be entirely wrong. Arafat and his deputy Mahmoud Abbas played the Americans for fools. Worse, they humiliated liar-Clinton.

In July 2000, when Arafat rejected Israel’s US-supported offer of peace at Camp David, it wasn’t just the notion of peaceful coexistence with Israel that he rejected. He rejected the notion that you cannot stand up to America.

liar-Clinton aggravated the deleterious effect of Arafat’s action when rather than either retaliate against the PLO chieftain or at a minimum cutting his losses and walking away, liar-Clinton spent the last months and weeks of his presidency pursuing Arafat and begging him to agree to a deal. liar-Clinton went so far as to present his own peace offer to the PLO chief with less than a month left in office. And Arafat stomped away.

A lot of people were watching what happened. And a lot of people drew the logical conclusion: the US is a paper tiger. You can humiliate it. You can attack it. And the Americans, secure in their belief that unlike every other world power in history their primacy was permanent, would do nothing to you.

When liar-Clinton left office, it wasn’t just the peace process that lay in shambles. America’s reputation was also massively weakened. In contempt of Washington, North Korea was racing toward the nuclear finish line.

Iran was taking over south Lebanon through Hezbollah and murdering Americans in Saudi Arabia.

India and Pakistan went nuclear.

And al-Qaida bombed two US embassies and one US naval destroyer.

How could liar-Clinton pay attention to these things when he was captivated by the notion that once a peace deal was signed with the PLO, all the problems of the region would disappear?

He couldn’t.

And in time, neither could his successors. George W. Bush and Barack liar-nObama each in time adopted liar-Clinton’s near religious faith in the curative powers of embracing the PLO at Israel’s expense. Why should the world’s sole superpower deal with the difficult and bloody pathologies of the Islamic world? Why should it consider modernizing its alliances with its Asian partners as China rose seemingly inexorably? Why should it consider its inability to expand the US economy by 4% a year as a national security threat when all would be well the minute that the PLO agreed to a deal with a diminished and enfeebled Jewish state?

And so three American presidents have wasted 24 years ignoring serious and growing threats and changing global conditions while embracing the fantasy that the PLO holds the keys to global peace, or the ultimate deal or American exculpation of the sins of its past.

Israel for its part has followed its American friends down the garden path, even as the rationale for doing so has vastly diminished.

While the Americans surrendered their universities to the fantasies of anti-American multiculturalists and grievance mongers, Israel has modernized its markets, strengthened its society and revolutionized its economy.

One of the reasons Israel didn’t dare to question the Americans in the early 1990s was its terrible credit rating. In 1988 Israel’s credit rating was – BBB. And it needed to borrow billions of dollars to pay for the absorption needs of a million Jews from the former Soviet Union who moved to Israel from 1989 through 2006. US loan guarantees were the only way Israel could borrow money at affordable rates.

Over the intervening quarter century, those million Jews were the major driver in developing Israel’s information economy.

The main reason that Israel has maintained its slavish devotion to America’s PLO fetish is that our leftist elites, that dominate the media, share it. Like the American foreign policy discourse, Israel’s elites’ assessment of Israel’s priorities has remained frozen in time for the past 24 years.

The same cannot be said of the public.

The vast majority of Israelis have greeted President Donald Trump’s sudden embrace of his predecessor’s obsession with the PLO with surprise and at best bemusement.

“Well, good luck with that,” is the most polite response.

It isn’t simply that unlike the American foreign policy establishment, the vast majority of Israelis are convinced there is no deal to be had with the PLO. Most Israelis simply don’t care anymore. They view the PLO and the Palestinians as largely irrelevant.

When Israeli leaders outside the leftist elite’s echo chambers prefer to speak with foreign audiences about anything beside the Palestinians, it isn’t because they are trying to avoid an unpleasant conversation. It is because they don’t see the point anymore.

The notion that a PLO state will make the region more stable as far more coherent Arab states collapse is absurd.

The notion that it is necessary to empower the PLO to win Arab allies when the Arabs are beating a path to Israel’s door begging for help in defeating Sunni jihadists and Iran is ridiculous.

The notion that Israel’s ability to expand its markets is contingent on peace with the PLO when every week more world leaders descend on Jerusalem to sign trade deals with Israel is not even worthy of a giggle.

As for demography, the American hysteria is bizarre.

The Palestinians already have passports and vote – when they are allowed to – in their own elections. Why would Israel be expected to let them vote for the Knesset?

Beyond that, Jewish immigration to Israel remains high. Israel’s Jewish birthrates have surpassed its Muslim birthrates both within sovereign Israel and in Judea and Samaria.

So why would Israel give up Jerusalem for demography?

As for Israel’s Arab citizens, the truth it that but for the meddling of foreign governments, Israel’s Arab population would have integrated fully into Israeli society a decade ago.

Next week, President Trump will arrive here. His meeting last week with PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas and statements by administration officials since make clear that Trump intends to be the fourth US president to get sucked into the PLO vortex.

Trump will arrive in Israel believing that his campaign pledge to “Make America Great Again,” and his goal of reaching the “ultimate deal” with the PLO are complementary aims.

If Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explains nothing else to Trump when they meet next week, he should explain to him that the two goals are mutually exclusive. And if he has any extra time, Netanyahu should give Trump the details of the massive price America has paid, since 1993, for its three past presidents’ obsession with the PLO.

The following recent article revealed that with the scandal of the Comey memo, President Donald Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia looks less like a diplomatic flight as fleeing the jurisdiction and that, for the first time, the Comey memo pushes the litany of controversies surrounding President Trump into the scope of the United States criminal code, however, if this is food for obstruction of justice, it is still an awfully thin soup because some commentators seem to be alleging criminal conduct in office or calling for impeachment before President Trump completed the words of his inaugural oath of office.

It also revealed that, not surprising, within minutes of the New York Times report, the response was a chorus of breathless “gotcha” announcements, but this memo is neither the Pentagon Papers nor the Watergate tapes, but allegedly it indeed raises as many questions for Comey as it does President Trump in terms of the alleged underlying conduct.-You Decide:

The Comey memo offers no proof for impeachment of Trump!-Posted on The Hill-By Jonathan Turley, Opinion contributor-On May 17, 2017:

With the scandal du jour of the Comey memo, President Donald Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia looks less like a diplomatic flight as fleeing the jurisdiction. For the first time, the Comey memo pushes the litany of controversies surrounding Trump into the scope of the United States criminal code.

However, that still leaves the need to show that the effort was to influence “corruptly” when Trump could say that he did little but express concern for a longtime associate. The term “corruptly” is actually defined differently under the various obstruction provisions, but it often involves a showing that someone acted “with the intent to secure an unlawful benefit for oneself or another." Encouraging leniency or advocating for an associate is improper but not necessarily seeking an unlawful benefit for him.

Then there is the question of corruptly influencing what? There is no indication of a grand jury proceeding at the time of the Valentine's Day meeting between Trump and Comey. Obstruction cases generally are built around judicial proceedings — not Oval Office meetings.

Of course, that does not change the fact that the question by Trump was wildly inappropriate. Yet, it also raises questions of Comey’s judgment. The account suggests that Comey was so concerned about the conversation that he wrote a memorandum for record. But that would suggest that Comey thought the president was trying to influence the investigation but then said nothing to the Justice Department or to his investigation team. The report says that, while Comey may have told a couple of colleagues at the FBI, he did not tell the investigation team “so the details of the conversation would not affect the investigation.”

Why? If he thought the president was trying to derail the investigation, that would seem relevant to the scope of the investigation. It is like a bank president seeking to close a fraud investigation, but the contact in the FBI decided not to tell bank investigators. One explanation would be that Comey did not view Trump as a potential target of the Flynn investigation, and thus did not view the uncomfortable meeting as relevant to the investigation team (and Trump has maintained that Comey told him three times that he was not a target). However, that would make the case even weaker for allegations that Trump was trying to protect himself or his inner circle by seeking closure for Flynn.

It is highly concerning that Trump has described how Comey actively campaigned to keep his job during this period. As usual, Trump has created the most problematic record for judging his own actions. If Comey was pleading for his job as suggested by Trump, the impropriety of the alleged statement in the Oval Office would be exponentially increased. Trump categorically denies that the statement was ever made. That alone could support an immediate demand for any and all tapes in the possession of Trump and he would be required to turn them over.

There is a separate question of whether this type of alleged obstruction could be the basis for impeachment. As someone who has been down that long impeachment road before, I would again advocate caution. Last night, respected former presidential advisor David Gergen said that, with the Comey memo, we are now “in impeachable territory.” If so, we have one foot on the shore and one in a raging surf. Before we start an impeachment proceeding, we need to be on terra firma. It requires more than uncomfortable meetings or ill-considered disclosures.

It is certainly true that an impeachable offense does not have to be a prosecutable crime despite the standard of “treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors.” Professors like Laurence Tribe and others have called for impeachment, even before this latest allegation. It is also true that Richard Nixon was facing impeachment allegations that included efforts to influence or obstruct the investigation of his campaign.

However, Nixon’s impeachment involved a host of clear criminal acts from slush funds to burglaries. There is still no compelling evidence of an actual crime at the heart of the Russian investigation. Flynn is facing allegations of basic reporting or disclosure violations under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) which is rarely actually prosecuted. Indeed, there have been only seven prosecutions under FARA since 1966, when the law was revised.

The investigation of Flynn has not produced any reported evidence implicating Trump. A FARA violation is a relatively minor federal violation for a president if that is the scope of the FBI investigation. Obviously, if there is some undisclosed major crime implicating the president, the seriousness of the alleged statement would grow in the same proportion. However, Trump has insisted that he was told repeatedly by Comey that he was not under investigation.

Impeachment is not meant to be an alternative for criminal cases that cannot be submitted to a grand jury. It is also not meant to be politics by other means. Finally, it is not a vehicle to redo an election for those with morning-after regrets. Ironically, for those who charge that Trump has compromised the legal system, the same objection can be made over demands for criminal charges or impeachment based on his still undisclosed memo.

25 'impeachable' Obama scandals far more serious than Comey firing: ‘Ex-president racked up BIG LIST of outrageous abuses of executive power’!-Posted on WND.com-On May 17, 2017:

“Impeach!” It’s been more than eight years since Democrats uttered that word – long enough for anyone to wonder if it was still in their vocabulary, considering the deafening silence through the dozens of serious scandals during President Obama’s administration – but now that President Trump is the man in the White House, it’s back with a vengeance.

Democrats everywhere are wildly slinging the “I” word, hoping to nail Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors after the New York Times claimed a memo written by former FBI Director James Comey said the president urged him to end the federal investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Some members of Congress are getting in on the action. They include Reps. Maxine Water, D-Calif., and Al Green, D-Texas. Even a Republican, Rep. Justin Amash, claimed Wednesday there are grounds to impeach President Trump. House Oversign Committee Chair Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, asked for the alleged Comey memo and other documents. Chaffetz tweeted that he is prepared to subpoena the information. And Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., invoked “Watergate.”

Now the Democratic Party is reportedly poll testing impeachment as a 2018 election issue. More than 1 million people signed a petition calling on Congress to impeach Trump.

On Twitter Wednesday, one anti-Trump tweeter with the handle "IMPEACH TRUMP" shared this image repeatedly throughout the week and tweeted incessantly about impeaching and jailing President Trump

Wasting no time Wednesday, the mainstream media sprang into action, enthusiastically echoing the left’s impeachment calls. MSNBC launched a Watergate ad implying Trump is America’s new Richard Nixon.

“Watergate. We know its name because there were reporters who never stopped asking questions,” says MSNBC host Chris Hayes, who hinted that Trump is next on the impeachment chopping block. “Now, who knows where the questions will take us. But I know this: I’m not going to stop asking them.”

Meanwhile, some overzealous members of the left plastered fliers around Washington, D.C., demanding all White House staffers resign Wednesday.

The posters read: “If you work for this White House you are complicit in hate-mongering, lies, corrupt taking of Americans’ tax money via self-dealing and emoluments, and quite possibly federal crimes and treason. Also, any wars will be on your soul. … Resign now.”

But constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley, who voted for President Obama, warned “impeachment” enthusiasts not to get ahead of themselves with President Trump. Why?

Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley

At this time, there’s no evidence Trump actually committed a crime.

“The criminal code demands more than what Comey reportedly describes in his memo,” Turley wrote in a May 17 opinion piece posted at the Hill. Turley explained:

For the first time, the Comey memo pushes the litany of controversies surrounding Trump into the scope of the United States criminal code.

However, if this is food for obstruction of justice, it is still an awfully thin soup. Some commentators seem to be alleging criminal conduct in office or calling for impeachment before Trump completed the words of his inaugural oath of office. Not surprising, within minutes of the New York Times report, the response was a chorus of breathless “gotcha” announcements. But this memo is neither the Pentagon Papers nor the Watergate tapes. Indeed, it raises as many questions for Comey as it does Trump in terms of the alleged underlying conduct.

A good place to start would be with the federal law, specifically 18 U.S.C. 1503. The criminal code demands more than what Comey reportedly describes in his memo. There are dozens of different variations of obstruction charges ranging from threatening witnesses to influencing jurors. None would fit this case. That leaves the omnibus provision on attempts to interfere with the “due administration of justice.”

However, that still leaves the need to show that the effort was to influence “corruptly” when Trump could say that he did little but express concern for a longtime associate. The term “corruptly” is actually defined differently under the various obstruction provisions, but it often involves a showing that someone acted “with the intent to secure an unlawful benefit for oneself or another.” Encouraging leniency or advocating for an associate is improper but not necessarily seeking an unlawful benefit for him.

While Turley said a request from Trump to the FBI director to end such an investigation would be “wildly inappropriate,” he cautioned: “[W]e need to move beyond the hyperventilated pronouncements of criminal conduct or impeachable offenses based on this memo. This conversation in the Oval Office is a valid matter of concern and worthy of further investigation. It is not proof of an impeachable offense any more than it is proof of a crime.”

Former Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney in New York Andrew C. McCarthy

Andrew C. McCarthy led the prosecution of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and others for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and plots to blow up other New York City landmarks. He told WND and Radio America Wednesday the Comey memo and alleged Trump statements about Flynn are a far cry from constituting obstruction of justice.

“I don’t think we’re close to being there yet because, even though I am sure that then-Director Comey must have found the conversation with President Trump to be awkward and inappropriate, I don’t think there’s anything corrupt about it,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy said it’s hard to draw any sweeping conclusions from a few scraps of a conversation.

“The most important thing about obstruction of justice is context. We don’t really have context here. We have one statement that’s mined out of what must be a larger memo,” he said.

He said there needs to be concrete evidence of corruption to pursue obstruction of justice allegations.

“Corruption is the heart of obstruction of justice,” McCarthy explained. “The person has to act intentionally, knowing that what he’s doing is wrong, and intend to subvert the truth-seeking process.”

Listen to the WND/Radio America interview with Andrew McCarthy:

Talk-show host Mark Levin said the latest attacks on Trump reveal a glaring double standard.

Mark Levin

“Remember, the whole point here is to take out Trump,” Levin said on his show Tuesday. “The whole point is to destroy the man’s character and his reputation. ‘He must be an incompetent boob.’ ‘He shoots from the hip.’ ‘Maybe he’s even working with the Russians, giving them information – it’s just so absurd.

“Did Barack Obama ever have a situation like this?” Levin asked, noting how the mainstream media go wild almost every day with reports of some Trump misstep. “The media frenzy never existed. It never occurred. It just didn’t happen.”

WND has assembled the following list of 25 egregious scandals and violations committed under President Obama’s administration – and few ever sparked widespread calls for the nation’s 44th president to be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors.

1.Obama’s Iran nuke deal

iran-missile

On July 14, 2015, the Obama administration negotiated and signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA, a nuclear deal between Iran, the United States and the “P5+1,” which included France, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, Russia, and the European Union. The Obama administration pushed the deal through and agreed to major terms without consulting with the U.S. Senate. The White House championed the plan as “the historic deal that will prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.”

Obama later conceded that the deal he sought with Iran would not prevent the jihadist theocracy from obtaining nuclear weapons, but said it would delay that by 10 to 15 years.

As part of the deal, Iran made commitments with regard to its nuclear program, including reduction of low-enriched uranium stockpiles to 300 kilograms, limits on future enrichment of uranium to 3.67 percent, storage of centrifuges for 10 years, restrictions on research and development and monitoring and inspections. Iran also agreed to rebuild its Arak nuclear reactor so its core cannot produce weapons-grade plutonium and transform its Fordow facility into a research center. In exchange, Iran was promised sanctions relief and the unfreezing of up to $150 billion in assets. The agreement allowed Iran to continue its uranium enrichment – a major sticking point for opponents who cite Iran’s status as a state sponsor of terrorism and its repeated threats against the U.S. and her ally, Israel.

But the Obama administration has kept secret many unclassified documents related to the deal. Members of the public and even some congressional staffers cannot access the files held in secure areas on Capitol Hill known as Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, or SCIF. Even some top Democratic Party lawmakers called on President Trump to release the documents in January.

“Unless there’s a damn good reason to keep them out of the public eye, turn them over,” said Jon Tester, D-Mont., the Weekly Standard reported. “I’m more on the side of transparency than not, that is for sure. … But that’s a first blush, not really knowing what’s in them.”

President Obama announces Iran nuclear deal (Photo: Screenshot)

In September 2016, the Institute for Science and International Security reported that the Obama administration allowed Iran to exceed limits imposed by the deal so as to claim Tehran was still in compliance with the terms. The Obama administration dismissed the institute’s report.

“The administration was really nasty after we released these documents,” David Albright, founder and president of the institute, told the Weekly Standard. “It was very tough for us to get the information. … I think that is we hadn’t released, they had every intention to keep it secret. They may have given lip service to openness, but I think their intention was to keep it secret.”

Albright continued: “You have to ask the question of, what else is being hidden? The administration did it to try to minimize the chance that people would know what was in these decisions, and certainly keep these people from talking to people like me in the technical community that can actually interpret what’s in those decisions.”

The Obama administration reportedly allowed Iran to keep low-enriched uranium disallowed under the 2015 deal, including uranium “deemed unrecoverable” for use in making nuclear weapons. In exchange, Iran promised to not try to recover the uranium. However, that language is not in the actual Iran deal. Other revelations indicated Obama made a secret side deal with Iran, allowing it to decide which nuclear sites to inspect and letting Iran do its own inspections at the Parchin site, where experts suspect Iran has been developing nuclear arms. The side deal also reportedly let Iran provide its own photos and videos of suspect locations, while “taking into account military concerns.”

2. Obama knew about Hillary’s private email server

Obama_Hillary3

As WND reported, five days after the New York Times disclosed the existence of Hillary Clinton’s private email server, Obama told CBS News on March 7, 2015, that he learned about it at “the same time everybody else learned it, through news reports.”

That was not true, because Obama himself had exchanged emails with Clinton on the server. And he even used a fake name, for reasons never explained.

The White House later claimed Obama meant to say he did know of the server, just not the details.

One of the nation’s top legal minds, former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy, told WND the FBI cleared Clinton not because she was innocent, but because the president was also guilty.

“Hillary couldn’t be proven guilty without proving the president guilty as well,” he wrote, adding, “Any possibility of prosecuting Hillary Clinton was tanked by President Obama’s conflict of interest.”

A March 4, 2015, bombshell email released by WikiLeaks confirmed that assessment. The email was sent by Clinton’s eventual campaign manager, John Podesta, to her attorney Cheryl Mills, asking if they should decline to turn over emails between Clinton and Obama sent over her private server.

Podesta suggested invoking “executive privilege” to withhold the emails just one day after the House Benghazi Committee had told Clinton to provide all her emails.

Podesta’s email read: “Think we should hold emails to and from potus [president of the United States]? That’s the heart of his exec privilege. We could get them to ask for that. They may not care, but I(t) seems like they will.”

Mills did not answer Podesta’s email, but the emails between Obama and Clinton were never turned over to the Benghazi committee. Eighteen such emails were turned over the State Department, which refused to release them.

McCarthy told WND, “This confirms what I have said all along: President Obama was engaged in the same reckless conduct as then-Secretary Clinton: engaging in exchanges of highly sensitive information – information that is presumptively classified under the president’s own executive order – over a non-secure, non-government system.”

He added, “That is why Huma Abedin was so stunned when she learned about it, asking as anyone with a security clearance would ask: ‘How is that not classified?'”

In an interview with WND and Radio America on May 17, McCarthy said Obama arguably took more egregious actions with respect to Clinton than Trump did with the Flynn investigation.

“In a few ways, the Obama situation with Hillary Clinton is worse than what we’ve heard about here [with the Flynn investigation],” McCarthy said. “What Obama did was make a very public statement, which is obviously a statement to his subordinates as well as everyone else, that he didn’t want Mrs. Clinton prosecuted and didn’t think she should be prosecuted.

“He articulated a legal theory for why she shouldn’t be prosecuted, this claim that she wasn’t trying to harm the United States and that her classified emails, while they exhibited carelessness on her part, were really a small part of a much larger overall picture and had been exaggerated out of proportion,” McCarthy said.

He said that same logic was used again a few months later.

“Lo and behold three months later, when Director Comey announced his view that Mrs. Clinton shouldn’t be prosecuted, he adopted precisely the legal reasoning Obama had announced three months before.”

3.Obama IRS targets conservatives

irs_bldg-hot

In 2010, the Internal Revenue Service began subjecting tea-party and conservative groups to intrusive scrutiny when they applied for nonprofit status. The IRS later issued an apology and blamed mistakes on low-level employees. But it fought for more than five years demands for full disclosure and documents sought by tea-party groups.

In March of 2016, a federal appeals court accused the IRS of stonewalling the release of lists of tax-exempt organizations targeted for political scrutiny and scolded the tax agency for compounding an offense by continuing to fight disclosure.

The judges ordered the IRS to quickly turn over the full list of groups it targeted so that a class-action lawsuit, filed by the NorCal Tea Party Patriots, could proceed. The judges also accused the Justice Department lawyers, who represented the IRS in the case, of acting in bad faith and compounding its violation of the law

“Among the most serious allegations a federal court can address are that an executive agency has targeted citizens for mistreatment based on their political views,” wrote Judge Raymond M. Kethledge in a unanimous decision. “No citizen – Republican or Democrat, socialist or libertarian – should be targeted or even have to fear being targeted on those grounds. Yet those are the grounds on which the plaintiffs allege they were mistreated by the IRS here. The allegations are substantial: most are drawn from findings made by the Treasury Department’s own inspector general for tax administration. Those findings include that the IRS used political criteria to round up applications for tax-exempt status filed by so-called tea-party groups; that the IRS often took four times as long to process tea-party applications as other applications; and that the IRS served tea-party applicants with crushing demands for what the Inspector General called ‘unnecessary information.'”

tea-party-irs-630x420 (1)

Kethledge wrote in his opinion that the IRS’ conduct since the original offense has “only compounded the conduct” that gave rise to complaint in the first place.

“The lawsuit has progressed as slowly as the underlying applications themselves: at every turn the IRS has resisted the plaintiffs’ requests for information regarding the IRS’s treatment of the plaintiff class, eventually to the open frustration of the district court,” wrote Kethledge. “At issue here are IRS ‘Be On the Lookout’ lists of organizations allegedly targeted for unfavorable treatment because of their political beliefs. Those organizations in turn make up the plaintiff class. The district court ordered production of those lists, and did so again over an IRS motion to reconsider. Yet, almost a year later, the IRS still has not complied with the court’s orders. Instead the IRS now seeks from this court a writ of mandamus, an extraordinary remedy reserved to correct only the clearest abuses of power by a district court. We deny the petition.”

“In 2010, the IRS began to pay unusual attention to 501(c) applications from groups with certain political affiliations,” Kethledge wrote. “As found by the inspector general, the IRS ‘developed and used inappropriate criteria to identify applications from organizations with ‘Tea Party’ in their names. … As to the policy positions, the IRS gave heightened scrutiny to organizations concerned with ‘government spending, government debt or taxes,’ lobbying to ‘make America a better place to live or ‘criticiz[ing] how the country is being run.’”

WND reported in November 2016 that the IRS is accused of continuing to shoot down advocates of conservative causes, especially if they have the words “tea party” in their names, even to this day. In April 2017, the government watchdog Judicial Watch released 695 pages of documents with admissions from IRS officials that the agency used “inappropriate political labels” to screen the applications. The records were just the first batch of about 7,000 documents that Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said were “hidden from JW (Judicial Watch), Congress and the American people.”

After detailing some of the most explosive revelations in the documents, Fitton wrote: “No wonder the Obama IRS hid these records. These new smoking-gun documents contain admissions by the Obama IRS that it inappropriately targeted conservative groups. But the records also show that the abuse continued – as the Obama IRS tried to force conservative applicants to give up their First Amendment rights in order to finally get their applications granted.”

4.Obama’s DOJ spies on AP reporters

120402spy

Just months before the 2012 presidential election, the Obama administration reportedly spied on Associated Press reporters.

WND reported when the AP said the Justice Department secretly seized two months of reporters’ and editors’ telephone records without explanation in April and May 2012. In the AP’s report on the scandal, President and CEO Gary Pruitt called the Justice Department’s move “a massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news.

Pruitt wrote a letter to former Attorney General Eric Holder demanding the records and all copies be returned. According to the AP: “News organizations normally are notified ahead of time that the government wants phone records and enter into negotiations over the requested information. In this case, however, the government, in its letter to the AP, cited an exemption to those rules that holds that prior notification can be waived if such notice, in the exemption’s wording, might ‘pose a substantial threat to the integrity of the investigation.’”

More than 100 journalists who reported on government and other matters worked in offices the administration targeted. While Justice Department rules call for subpoenas of news records to be approved by Holder, it’s unclear whether he ordered the action.

“There can be no possible justification for such an overbroad collection of the telephone communications of The Associated Press and its reporters,” Pruitt told Holder at the time. “These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP’s newsgathering operations and disclose information about AP’s activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know.”

obama-reporters

According to reports, the Obama administration didn’t provide a reason for the seizure or reveal whether a judge or a grand jury signed off on the subpoenas.

“Officials have previously said in public testimony that the U.S. attorney in Washington is conducting a criminal investigation into who may have provided information contained in a May 7, 2012, AP story about a foiled terror plot,” the AP reported. “The story disclosed details of a CIA operation in Yemen that stopped an al-Qaida plot in the spring of 2012 to detonate a bomb on an airplane bound for the United States.

“In testimony in February [2013], CIA Director John Brennan noted that the FBI had questioned him about whether he was AP’s source, which he denied. He called the release of the information to the media about the terror plot an ‘unauthorized and dangerous disclosure of classified information.’”

The AP said the 2012 terror plot was “significant both because of its seriousness and also because the White House previously had told the public it had ‘no credible information that terrorist organizations, including al-Qaida, are plotting attacks in the U.S. to coincide with the (May 2) anniversary of bin Laden’s death.’”

According to the news organization, the story was written by reporters Matt Apuzzo and Adam Goldman with contributions from reporters Kimberly Dozier, Eileen Sullivan and Alan Fram. Those reporters, along with editor Ted Bridis, had their phone records seized.

5. Obamacare & Obama’s false promises

Obama-obamacare

Politifact rated President Obama’s promise, “If you like your health plan, you can keep it,” as its “Lie of the Year” in 2013. Obama repeated the claim dozens of times, as well as promising, “If you like your doctor, you can keep him,” which also turned out to be untrue.

Obamacare was supposed to cut costs and insure more people. Instead, premiums skyrocketed and more than five million people lost their heath insurance coverage.

While the uninsured were forced to sign up for Obamacare or face a tax penalty, House Speaker John Boehner has said he believes there are actually fewer people insured than before Obamacare took effect, despite the fact the Congressional Budget Office estimates the law will cost taxpayers $1.207 trillion by 2025.

The roll-out of the Obamacare website was a legendary disaster. Only a handful of people were even able to access the website after its debut. And now even supporters of Obamacare admit the individual health insurance market is unsustainable and failing.

Obama repeatedly vowed to reduce Americans’ health insurance premiums by up to $2,500 a year:

{…}

However, according to a 2016 survey, most Americans haven’t seen that financial benefit. Most respondents said their benefits, premiums, co-pays and deductibles “stayed about the same.” A full 45 percent saw increased premiums; 35 percent reported increased co-pays and deductibles; and just 16 percent said their benefits increased.

Obamacare-survey2

On May 9, Bloomberg reported states such as Connecticut, Maryland and Virginia are seeing exploding premiums – at rates of 24 percent, 45 percent and 31 percent, respectively.

6. Illegal-alien amnesty by executive order

ILLEGALSobama

In June 2012, Obama issued an executive order declaring that illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. before they turned 16 and who are younger than 30 would not be deported. They are eligible for a two-year work permit that can be renewed indefinitely under the program called Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

Arguing that children of illegal aliens “study in our schools, play in our neighborhoods, befriend our kids, pledge allegiance to our flag,” Obama said, “it makes no sense to expel talented young people who are, for all intents and purposes, Americans.”

Obama’s executive order mimics some of the provisions in the DREAM Act, which failed to pass in Congress.

“I definitely think it’s a very troublesome precedent because the president basically said, ‘Listen, even though the statute doesn’t just carve out an automatic exemption from deportation for this category of individuals, I’m just going to decide unilaterally that I will not deport them.’ Really?” legal scholar Bruce Fein told WND in 2013. “Could you decide you don’t want to enforce the homicide statute for a certain category of people as well?

“That seems to me to fall into a serious category of failure to ‘take care that the laws be faithfully executed.’ It’s one thing, given limited resources and the number of illegals, to just say, ‘We’ve got limited resources, and as a matter of practical discussion, we’ve got to look at 1, 2, 3, 4.’ But you still have an individualized determination. That happens in the U.S. Attorney’s office all the time when crimes are committed. But just as a wholesale statement: ‘We just don’t want to enforce the law’?”

“Could the president stand up and say, ‘You know what? I just don’t want to enforce the Voting Rights Act anymore. It’s just too much of a hassle’?”

7. Benghazi-gate

On Sept. 11, 2012, a U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were brutally murdered at a U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi.

Just three days after the attack, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney accused an anti-Muslim video on YouTube of inciting the attack. On Sept. 16, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice made five television appearances in which she claimed the attacks were spontaneous reactions to the obscure film. Obama mentioned the YouTube video six more times at the U.N. on Sept. 25.

However, there was never any kind of protest at the Benghazi compound that night.

During congressional hearings in January in which Secretary of State Hillary Clinton finally was questioned about the calamity on her watch, Clinton claimed she didn’t see a classified State Department cable sent Aug. 16 that said the Benghazi mission could not defend against a “coordinated attack.”

However, the State Department’s Charlene Lamb reportedly observed the attack in near real time.

Lt. Col. Tony Schaefer told Fox News that Obama watched the attack from the situation room: “I hate to say this, according to my sources, yes, (the president) was one of those in the White House situation room in real-time watching this. And the question becomes, ‘What did the president do or not do in the moments he saw this unveiling?’ He – only he – could issue a directive to Secretary of Defense Panetta to do something.”

However, in their testimonies before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said they only spoke with Obama once during the attack in a phone call. Obama spent the following day fundraising in Las Vegas.

In response to questions from Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., Panetta said Obama didn’t ask about military options or deploying assets.

“He just left that up to us,” Panetta said.

benghazi-victims-ceremony

The New York Post confirmed that a U.S. military drone had been relaying real-time data to Washington, D.C.

After the administration had blamed the YouTube video for sparking the assault, columnist and pundit Pat Buchanan wrote: “[I]if there was no protest, who sent Carney out to blame the attack on the protest? And if there was no protest, who programmed Rice and put her on five separate Sunday talk shows to attribute the massacre to a protest that never happened?

“If real-time intelligence and U.S. agents at the scene knew it was premeditated, preplanned terrorism by Sept. 12, who told Rice to deny specifically on Sept. 16 that the attack was premeditated or preplanned?”

As WND reported, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., charged that the Obama administration appeared to be covering up a gun-running scheme that fell apart when jihadists attacked the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

Andrew McCarthy is a former assistant U.S. attorney who served as the lead prosecutor of the terrorists behind the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

In 2012, he wrote: “I do think Benghazi could be an impeachable scandal, and I don’t think this is an extreme position.

“We do not yet have the answers about what happened on September 11 – most significantly, when did the commander-in-chief learn of the terrorist attack on the compound and what action did he take to defend Americans who were besieged for over seven hours under circumstances where there were U.S. military assets an hour away? We also do not know how the Mohammed movie cover-up was orchestrated, although the evidence and common sense point to the White House. With four Americans killed and the nation appallingly misled in the stretch-run of a presidential campaign, this is a far more consequential matter than those that led to the Watergate and Lewinsky investigations. A commander-in-chief’s dereliction of duty and his administration’s intentional lying to the American people – to say nothing of its overbearing prosecution of the filmmaker in a transparent effort to shift responsibility to him – would be impeachable offenses if they are proved.”

8. Operation Fast & Furious

In June 2012, the Obama administration invoked executive privilege to stop disclosure of documentation to Congress following Operation Fast and Furious, a gun-walking scheme that resulted in the deaths of as many as 100 people, including U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

During the botched operation, the Justice Department’s subdivision of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms lost approximately 2,000 weapons, allowing many of them to flow freely across the U.S.-Mexico border and into the hands of members of Mexican drug cartels.

The U.S. House of Representatives voted to hold then-Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, but U.S. Attorney Ronald Machen chose to ignore the criminal resolution and not bring charges against Holder.

The Obama administration filed a motion to block a lawsuit by Judicial Watch demanding enforcement of a June 22, 2012, Freedom of Information Act request seeking all documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious, and “specifically all records subject to the claim of executive privilege invoked by President Obama on or about June 20, 2012.” In April 2016, Obama backed off his claims of executive privilege.

9. 5 Taliban leaders for Bergdahl

Bowe Bergdahl

In May 2014, the Obama administration swapped five Taliban commanders previously detained in Guantanamo Bay for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who has since been charged with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

The deal triggered a deep level of disgust by Americans for Obama. A WND/Wenzel Poll at the time showed 54 percent of Americans said Obama’s swap for Bergdahl amounted to providing aid to terrorists.

Jury selection in Bergdahl’s case begins in October, and he could face a life sentence.

As WND reported in September 2015, retired Col. David Hunt said Bergdahl actually joined the Taliban, and recordings prove it.

Further, he said, the government failed to make use of that evidence against Bergdahl.

“June 30, 2009, Bergdahl deserts his post in southeast Afghanistan,” Hunt said in an appearance on Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News show. “July 1st and 2nd, in a standard briefing to a commander of his unit, Fourth Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division, we have tapes of Taliban talking on Bergdahl’s phone saying that Bergdahl wanted to join them. And we have the Taliban on their own phones talking about Bergdahl trying to join them.”

Hunt said the information was known July 2.

Asked by O’Reilly how the tapes were obtained, Hunt didn’t elaborate, except to say there are government programs that provide such information.

Hunt explained, “There are programs, we’ve been doing it since World War II, in which we listen to the enemy, and people who are speaking Pashtun and … whatever language the Taliban in that section are using, were listening because they were told to and they were also listening to Bergdahl’s phone.

“What they heard was the Taliban on Bergdahl’s phone because he had joined them by then. And then the Taliban on separate phones talking about him. So it’s a military program.”

10. Extortion 17

In the greatest single loss of life since the war in Afghanistan began in 2001, 30 U.S. military servicemen were killed when their CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan

Extortion 17 was the call sign for a helicopter shot down by the Taliban in eastern Afghanistan on Aug. 6, 2011.

Thirty U.S. Special Forces soldiers were among those killed, including members of SEAL Team 6, the unit that killed Osama bin Laden.

Family members of the deceased believe the Obama administration put a target on the back of SEAL Team 6, and the deaths were payback for the killing of bin Laden.

They blamed the Obama administration for recklessly identifying who killed the famous terrorist leader.

“American warrior blood is pooling in the Oval Office,” said Billy Vaughn, whose son Aaron was killed in the crash.

11. ‘Recess‘ appointments – when Senate was in session

The Constitution allows the president to nominate judges and executive branch officials, but the Senate must confirm his nominees. Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution authorizes the president to “fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate.”

But while the Senate was in session in January 2012, Obama made recess appointments of Richard Cordray to head the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and three members of the National Labor Relations Board.

Obama argued that because the Senate had been convening every three days, the pro forma sessions didn’t allow any business to take place, so the Senate should be considered in recess.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled that Obama’s three NLRB recess appointments violated the Constitution because they weren’t made when the Senate was in recess. Now the Supreme Court has received a petition asking the justices to consider the decision.

The NLRB said it “respectfully disagrees” with the D.C. Circuit’s ruling and would proceed with business as usual because it trusted “the president’s position in the matter will ultimately be upheld.”

12. Appointment of ‘czars’ without Senate approval

Obama_Oval_Office2

Obama also appointed more than 30 unelected “czars” to positions in federal agencies while the Constitution requires that such appointments be vetted by Congress. Article II, Section 2, allows the president to appoint ambassadors, judges and other officers “with the Advice and Consent of the Senate.”

“Congress clearly has the authority to say, ‘No money shall go to pay the salaries of X, Y, Z unless they’re subject to Senate confirmation,'” legal scholar Bruce Fein told WND in 2013. “That’s really one where Congress, by its negligence, is not insisting on accountability.”

Constitutional expert Louis Fisher told WND: “That is a big deal. A lot of people say, ‘Well, that’s been going on a long time.’ In our form of government, citizens vote for representatives, and representatives pass laws. You have people heading departments, and they’re confirmed. There’s an understanding that we will call you up whenever we need to. So there’s accountability through that process.

“Congress passed legislation saying there’d be no funds for three czars, and they were named in the bill. Obama signed it into the law, but in the signing statement, he said that’s unconstitutional because he has the ‘prerogative’ to get the advice  he needs to implement statutes. Well, c’mon Obama. You don’t have a prerogative to bring into the White House anybody you want at any salary. It’s all done by law. It goes back to 1978 where Congress passed legislation saying you have this number of people and these are their salaries and Congress can increase or decrease that at any time.

“I think Obama had no idea what he was doing when he was using the word ‘prerogative.’ He can get all the advice he wants in the private sector, but Congress decides how many aides the president will have and what salaries they get.”

13. Suing Arizona for enforcing federal law

In April 2010, Arizona adopted an immigration law designed to discourage illegal aliens from entering the state. The law, known as S.B. 1070, authorized state police officers to verify a person’s immigration status with federal authorities and detain individuals suspected of being in the country illegally.

When the state senate passed the bill, President Obama’s administration immediately sued and enjoined the state from enforcing portions of the state’s legislation.

The Constitution does not prohibit states from supporting enforcement of federal laws. The 10th Amendment states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Just one week after it sued Arizona, Obama’s Justice Department said it would not pursue “sanctuary cities” that openly violate federal law by protecting illegal aliens.

“There is a big difference between a state or locality saying they are not going to use their resources to enforce a federal law, as so-called sanctuary cities have done, and a state passing its own immigration policy that actively interferes with federal law,” Tracy Schmaler, spokeswoman for Attorney General Eric Holder, told the Washington Times. “That’s what Arizona did in this case.”

The Supreme Court weighed in on the matter in June 2012, rejecting key portions of the Arizona law but upholding the provision allowing police officers to check immigration status.

14. Refusal to defend Defense of Marriage Act

marriage_definition

President Obama announced in 2011 that his administration believed the Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA, to be unconstitutional and instructed the Justice Department to no longer defend it in court.

DOMA, which was passed in 1996 under President Bill Clinton, says states will not be forced to recognize homosexual marriages performed in other states, and the federal government doesn’t recognize such unions. The Supreme Court is expected to determine whether Section 3 of DOMA violates the U.S. Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection this spring.

The law had been on Obama’s radar for several years; he promised to repeal DOMA during his 2008 campaign for president.

In February 2011, Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement:

“After careful consideration, including a review of my recommendation, the president has concluded that given a number of factors, including a documented history of discrimination, classifications based on sexual orientation should be subject to a more heightened standard of scrutiny. The president has also concluded that Section 3 of DOMA, as applied to legally married same-sex couples, fails to meet that standard and is therefore unconstitutional. Given that conclusion, the president has instructed the Department not to defend the statute in such cases. I fully concur with the president’s determination.”

After the Obama administration refused to defend the law, House leaders instructed the House general counsel to take up the case.

Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz. even raised the possibility of impeaching Obama over his refusal to defend DOMA. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Congress should “confront” Obama, “threatening to zero out” the budget at the Attorney General’s office until the president decided to defend DOMA.

15. Illegally conducting war against Libya

Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution gives Congress the power to declare war.

The U.S. launched combat operations in Libya on March 19, 2011. For several weeks before the U.S. combat operation in Libya, CIA operatives had been deployed to the area to gather intelligence for military airstrikes and support Libyan rebels in the overthrow of Moammar Gadhafi. The New York Times reported in March 2011 that Obama had “signed a secret finding authorizing the C.I.A. to provide arms and other support to Libyan rebels.”

The U.S. military had been reportedly monitoring Libyan troops with U-2 spy planes, a high-altitude Global Hawk drone and a JSTARS aircraft to track troop movements.

Fox News’ Mike Huckabee raised the issue of impeachment over Obama’s order to bomb Libya, stating: “I think frankly, if this issue really gets traction that it deserves, and let it say it deserves, go back. Richard Nixon was forced out of office because he lied. And because he covered some stuff up. I will be blunt and tell you this. Nobody died in Watergate. We have people who are dead because of this. There are questions to be answered and Americans ought to demand to get answers.”

As WND reported in March 2012, Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., introduced House Concurrent Resolution 107, which stated: “[I]t is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress’s exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.”

Jones’ bill had 12 co-sponsors, but it never made it past the House Committee on the Judiciary.

libya_flags

“In the case of Libya, the president had no congressional authority whatsoever,” legal scholar Bruce Fein told WND in 2013. “The whole thing is insane. And the executive doesn’t care because all the time that conflict ensues, that just means more executive power. That’s exactly what the Founding Fathers feared.

“President Obama just totally flouted the whole thing and basically said through his various memos, ‘I don’t need congressional authority to go to war.’ That was clearly an impeachable offense. It’s clearly gross usurpation of the war power.  Both the Republicans and Democrats have acquiesced in that.”

Constitutional expert Louis Fisher told WND he found Obama’s actions in Libya “constitutionally offensive.”

“I think it’s completely unconstitutional,” he said. “It’s extremely offensive for a president to claim he can use military force against another country, like Libya, that didn’t threaten us. I find that appalling.

“Of course, the Office of Legal Counsel sent out a memo. It claimed there’s no war because there were no legal casualties. If that’s your legal reasoning, you could absolutely pulverize another nation. If anyone did anything to us like what we did to Libya, we’d obviously call it war. That was a complete and total outrage.”

Also in 2013, Herbert Titus, counsel to the law firm William J. Olson and former instructor of constitutional law, said the scandal is one of Obama’s worst: “I think Libya is the strongest argument for impeachment. That’s the one that stands out. It’s unprecedented. It doesn’t even fit within any of the precedents that have been set since Korea.

“If you’re going to talk impeachment, you have to find something that Obama has done that is so distinctly different than what other presidents have done before him that people can resonate with it. The difficult, of course, is that people have forgotten about Libya.”

16. NSA: Spying on Americans

Edward Snowden

In June 2013, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden revealed the U.S. government was collecting an enormous amount of data on millions of Americans with the cooperation of telecommunication companies and European governments.

The director of national intelligence, James Clapper, had testified to Congress just the opposite, the year before. When Snowden’s revelations became public, Clapper said he had misspoken, not lied.

Obama claimed laws and safeguards prevent the NSA from collecting information without a warrant, but WND has reported many sources, including a Democrat congressman, said that is not true.

While the administration claimed the data collected is limited to phone calls and email records, so-called metadata, and not the content of those transmissions, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., said he was “startled” to learn in a secret congressional briefing how NSA analysts can decide for themselves whether to access the content of a domestic phone call.

The Washington Post, the Guardian and CNET all reported the NSA collected content of phone calls and emails without obtaining warrants.

Andrew McCarthy reported extensively on the Muslim Brotherhood ties to Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s top adviser and trusted confidant when she was at the State Department.

Aside from extensive family ties to the Brotherhood, including strong support by her parents, “Ms. Abedin was a member of the executive board of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at George Washington University, heading its ‘Social Committee.’ The MSA, which has a vast network of chapters at universities across North America, is the foundation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s infrastructure in the United States.”

“When a handful of House conservatives tried to draw the attention of the State Department’s inspector general to some of these matters – wondering how on earth someone with Ms. Abdein’s background could have qualified for a top-secret security clearance – they were castigated by the Obama White House and the Beltway Republican establishment.”

In February 2015, Obama hosted Muslim leaders in the White House including a number with close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

As a Customs and Border Protection officer, Philip Haney knew the Obama administration was growing close to leaders of several Muslim Brotherhood front groups in the U.S., WND reported.

In January 2010, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano met with several American Muslim leaders, including leaders of two Muslim Brotherhood front groups and another known Muslim Brotherhood affiliate. The meeting was even hosted by the DHS Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, which allowed attendees to help develop the nation’s counter-terrorism policy.

“My simple question to the Obama administration is, why would you form an overt political alliance with a group that has stated plainly that they intend to overthrow our form of government and alter or abolish it?” Haney asked. “Why would you do that?”

18. Miriam Carey

Miriam Carey

WND has reported in depth the stonewall by the Department of Justice, which refuses to release the report containing reasons it chose not prosecute federal officers in the shooting death of an unarmed suburban mother.

Miriam Carey, 34, did little more than apparently make a mistaken turn into a White House security post and immediately try to leave, but she was chased by Secret Service and Capitol Police officers, and shot dead in broad daylight, two blocks from the Capitol, on Oct. 3, 2013.

19. Birth certificate

ObamaBirthCertificate

President Obama finally released a birth certificate image after years of questions, but no one was allowed to test its authenticity, other than NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, who claimed she “felt the raised seal” on the actual document.

But questions persisted and Lord Christopher Monckton, a former policy adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, called it “plainly a forgery.”

“It appears in layers on the screen in such a way you can remove quite separately each of the individual dates,” Monckton said. “You use Adobe Illustrator and each of the individual dates is in its own separate layer. This thing has been fabricated.”

At a news conference in December 2016, Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the only law enforcement officer to formally investigate the allegations of fraud, presented evidence that he said proves the image of the birth document posted by the White House was fraudulent.

20. Executive orders

Obama7

Constitutional expert and self-described liberal professor Jonathan Turley of George Washington University said Obama’s penchant for using executive orders to circumvent the will of Congress caused a constitutional crisis.

“This is, I think, the most important … moment … in the last I don’t even know how many years. This is the American crisis. … This is beyond the constitutional crisis. This is a constitutional tipping point,” said Turley.

“And the most serious violations, in my view, are various cases when he went to Congress, as in the immigration field, as in the healthcare field, as for very specific things, and was rejected, and then decided just to order those on his own.”

Obama issued orders on a wide range of major issues, from labor and climate to immigration and restrooms. Sometimes they were imposed, sometimes courts blocked him, sometimes Congress blocked him. He also addressed guns, the Iran nuclear deal, even federal pay and overtime compensation.

These actions all from a president who, according to Reason.com, moved into the White House on the statement of rolling back the executive power that President George W. Bush had exercised.

“The president is not above the law,” he had insisted way back then.

While many who defended Obama’s executive actions claimed the president has issued fewer orders than his predecessors, George Mason University’s Mercatus Center released a 2014 study that showed Obama used far more restrictive executive orders than the previous six presidents – all in just his first term.

21. Solyndra and the lost $535 million

011212solyndra

In 2009, solar panel manufacturer Solyndra received a $535 million loan guaranteed by the Department of Energy.

In 2010, Obama claimed Solyndra was “leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.”

Solyndra shut down in August 2011, leaving 1,100 people out of work and taxpayers on the hook for the $535 million.

ABC News reported, “The deal later came under scrutiny from independent government watch dogs and members of Congress, which said the administration had bypassed key taxpayer protections in a rush to approve the funds – claims the administration has denied.”

22. Egypt

egyptprotests88

After the Obama administration backed the Arab Spring uprising that deposed Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the radical jihadist organization the Muslim Brotherhood promised it would not participate in presidential elections.

When the Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsi won the Egyptian presidency, he was fully supported by the Obama administration.

When Morsi was deposed by Egyptian defense minister Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for human-rights violations, including the killing of protesters, the Obama administration demanded a return to “civilian” government.

23. Cap & Trade: When in doubt, bypass Congress

President Obama speaks at the COP 21 climate summit in Paris on Nov. 30, 2015 (Photo: Twitter, White House)

In April 2010, the U.S. Senate rejected the “cap-and-trade” bill, which created a carbon-tax system and amplified federal power over the energy industry.

Nonetheless, Obama’s EPA administrator, Lisa Jackson, declared carbon dioxide a pollutant. Before Congress had voted on the matter, on Dec. 7, 2009, Jackson signed an “endangerment finding” labeling CO2 and five other gases – methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6 ) – threats to human health.

That step provided the EPA with the authority to regulate the gases in the absence of congressional approval, and the federal agency rolled out new rules.

24. Refusal to prosecute New Black Panthers

After Obama took office, the Department of Justice dismissed voter intimidation charges against two leaders of the New Black Panther Party, or NBPP, related to the 2008 presidential election.

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution guarantees “due process” and “equal protection of the laws” while the 15th Amendment guarantees that “the right of citizens to vote shall not be denied or abridged … on account of race …”

As WND reported in 2008, two NBPP members were filmed standing in front of the entrance to a Philadelphia polling station in black uniforms, with one member wielding a billy club.

According to complaints, both men standing in front of the polling station pointed at voters and shouted racial slurs, using such phrases as “white devil” and, “You’re about to be ruled by the black man, Cracker!”

At the time, Attorney General Eric Holder’s office was accused by Justice Department insiders of racial favoritism in dropping the charges against the NBPP.

In May 2010, J. Christian Adams resigned as a Justice voting department trial attorney, citing preferences related to trying civil rights cases only when minorities were the victims.

“I was told by voting section management that cases are not going to be brought against black defendants on [behalf] of white victims,” Adams said in testimony before the Civil Rights commission.

Adams was backed up by Christopher Coates, the former head of the voting section for the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division. Coates had led the original investigation of the New Black Panther Party.

Coates stated in testimony, “I had people who told me point-blank that [they] didn’t come to the voting rights section to sue African-American people.”

25. Obama’s U.S. citizen ‘hit list’

In 2010, Obama ordered the assassination of a radical American-born Muslim cleric who became an avowed member of al-Qaida’s affiliate in Yemen. Anwar al-Awlaki was killed in a drone strike in September 2011, along with naturalized U.S. citizen and al-Qaida propagandist Samir Khan. Awlaki’s 16-year-old American-born son, Abdulrahman, was killed in a similar strike two weeks earlier.

While there is little argument that Awlaki was involved in terrorist activity, the Obama administration failed to provide due process to the U.S. citizens targeted for the use of deadly force. Awlaki had reportedly communicated by email with Maj. Nadal Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist who murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas. He had also been tied to the so-called “underwear bomber” who attempted to blow up a Detroit-bound plane with plastic explosives sewn into his undergarments on Dec. 25, 2009. The FBI suspected Awlaki had purchased airplane tickets for three of the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers before the terrorist attacks.

However, Awlaki was born in New Mexico, and his son was born in Denver, Colorado. There has been no reported evidence that Awlaki ever renounced his U.S. citizenship. In fact, Rep. Charles Dent, R-Penn., introduced a 2010 resolution in the U.S. House to strip Awlaki of his citizenship, but the legislation never made it out of the Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law.

Awlaki spent years in the U.S. as an imam and a Muslim chaplain at George Washington University before moving to Yemen. He had been in U.S. custody twice and released before he was killed by the drone strike. Awlaki was detained in 2002 at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City for passport fraud. A Judicial Watch investigation revealed that he had been released by the FBI. He was also held for at least eight months in 2006 and 2007 and subsequently released.

In 2002, Awlaki reportedly led Muslim prayers on Capitol Hill.

In 2002, Awlaki reportedly led Muslim prayers on Capitol Hill.

He also reportedly dined at the Pentagon as part of the U.S. military’s outreach to the Muslim community just months after the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

In 2010, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights sued the U.S. government on behalf of Awlaki’s father, challenging the federal government’s authority to conduct “targeted killings” of U.S. citizens who are not in an armed conflict zone. A federal district court dismissed the case in 2011.

In January of 2013, U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon in Manhattan ruled that the Obama administration was not required to provide legal justification for its targeting killings to the public.

So how did the Obama administration determine who’s a terrorist for the purpose of compiling its hit list?

A confidential Justice Department “white paper,” which is not an official legal memo, was released in 2013 to NBC News. It stated that the U.S. government can order targeted killing of American citizens if they are believed to be “senior operational leaders” of al-Qaida or “an associated force.”

In response to the memo, a bipartisan letter from 11 top-ranking senators to President Obama stated, “It’s vitally important for Congress and the American public to have a full understanding of how the executive interprets the limits and boundaries of this particular authority.” The senators asked Obama for “any and all legal opinions” that clarify the basis of his perceived power to “deliberately kill American citizens.”

Judge Andrew Napolitano warned, “This 16-page white paper was written so vaguely that the logic from it could actually be extrapolated to permit the president to kill Americans here in the United States.”

Napolitano noted that Obama also violated another federal statute: “When the president ramps up the war on terror or decides to move into another area or use the CIA to engage people, whether to arrest them or to kill them, he’s required to tell the Senate and House intelligence committees ahead of time and get their consent. He apparently didn’t do that, and so [Congress is] burned by this.”

    Is Trump Under Spiritual Attack?

Do I wish that President Trump would exercise more self-restraint in what he says? Yes, indeed. Just so, as a student I wished that my garrulous mailman dad wouldn’t insist on telling “hilarious” ethnic jokes at Yale parent nights.

Republicans are burning up massive energy defending, explaining, or even mastering the facts about Trump’s free-wheeling statements. It could be better used on almost anything else. Think of all the crucial points of policy that are going unaddressed.

The Trump White House came up with a fine executive order defending religious liberty. Then it apparently caved under pressure, and gave us the leaf without the fig.

Trump promised to back the First Amendment Defense Act, which would have written those same protections into law. No sign of the White House pushing for it in Congress.

Replacing Obamacare with something that’s actually better deserves many hours of time on the part of the president and his staffers. It didn’t get it.

Defunding Planned Parenthood might happen, or it might not, depending on some backroom legislative noodling.

The wall he promised on our country’s chaotic southern border. Will it get built? It’s anybody’s guess.

The president could use his bully pulpit and majority in two houses of Congress to make real progress on all these fronts. But he’s too busy right now disputing overblown charges that he obstructed justice by hinting that General Michael Flynn shouldn’t be prosecuted for making a harmless phone call to a Russian diplomat, then firing FBI director James Comey for a weird and changing list of reasons — all of them valid, but he really should have settled on one.

Hate Housefires? Stop Drinking Flaming Shots.

Let’s say you need to rewire your house and install a new heating system. It’s hard to focus on that when you’re too busy rushing back and forth pouring water on little housefires. But you just seem to keep on setting them, because of your habit of drinking flaming tequila shots on the couch. Aw, shucks, it happened again.

Never-Trump Republican John Podhoretz wrote a fine column in the New York Post. In it, he warns President Trump that he needs to zip his mouth and gird his loins. Or else he’ll face a presidency that history will mock as a sputtering failure. It’s written in the spirit of a boxing coach. Think of Burgess Meredith in Sly Stallone’s corner in Rocky. He’d berate the bull-headed boxer not to drop his guard or lead with his chin. Rocky didn’t see that kind of advice as hostile, and neither should Trump.

Given his real business successes, I cannot really believe that Trump is the kind of onion-skinned narcissist who demands that his fans back even his self-defeating mistakes. That’s the kind of uncritical, unconditional love that liberal Christians demand from God. They will surely be disappointed. So will any politician. This isn’t North Korea, and conservatism isn’t a cult.

Trump Is Under Attack. And Not Just By Humans.

Given the profound evils that Trump has promised to confront, from Islamic terrorism to Planned Parenthood, from the persecution of Christians to the chaos on our country’s borders, we should not be surprised that he is being assaulted. No, I don’t mean by liberals, misguided people whose policies are poorly reasoned or based in raw emotion.

I mean by principalities and powers. By the spirits who (in the words of the prayer to St. Michael the archangel) “roam the earth, seeking the ruin of souls.” If you think (and you’d better) that your soul matters enough to Satan that he will bother to send you a tempter, just imagine the horde he dispatches to batter the president. They goad him to say foolish things, make rash decisions, and most of all to cave on his core principles — then fight like a tiger over trivialities.

Our president has too much power. As conservatives, we know that. But here we are. One man has the authority to:

    Launch a nuclear holocaust;

    Invade foreign countries without Congress’s say-so;

Issue executive edicts that distort the meaning of laws; and

Direct an army of unaccountable bureaucrats to skew their reading of tens of thousands of regulations, crippling businesses or citizens who disagree with him.

That’s a ludicrous pile of power for one man’s shoulders. And power is what the Enemy sniffs after like a jackal who scents some bacon.

    America on the Knife Edge

This is a crucial watershed in American culture and history. We are teetering on the knife edge between a normal, functioning country where the Church is permitted to preach, and something much darker and uglier: a post- and anti-Christian Leviathan.

Look at the profane hysteria, the toxic boiling hatred that Trump and his voters provoked among progressives. That’s true even when they support policies to the left of President Bill Clinton’s on most crucial issues. That tells us just how far the “mainstream” has slid down the hill toward madness. You also know how divided our nation is. How fragile is public order?

Centrist speakers can’t even take a microphone at major universities, for fear that hooded militants will attack them and their audience with flagpoles. Police and firefighters get shot by racist extremists. Academic feminists sue to use the federal government to silence their colleagues on campus. College students alternate, schizophrenically, between ultra-fragile snowflakes who will crumble at untoward opinions — and hordes of brick-throwing, outraged insurgents.

Just Because the Media are Biased Doesn’t Mean Trump Isn’t Making Mistakes

Journalistic standards, never immune to liberal bias, have virtually collapsed. So we really shouldn’t be shocked when newspapers grossly distort and exaggerate the president’s behavior. When they cast him as a lawbreaker who needs to be impeached — for behaving in just the same ways that Barack Obama did (in between penning yet another auto-hagiography, and collecting a Nobel Prize simply for showing up). When they act as if normal back-and-forth and influence trading in the White House is evidence of “chaos at the top.”

We should also avoid the temptation of dismissing any criticism of the president, simply because so much of it is foolish, overheated, or grounded in evil motives. The fact that liberals will lie, or distort the truth, to harm President Trump, doesn’t mean he isn’t making some real mistakes.

    Trump, Find Your Inner Coolidge

His greatest mistake, I think, is giving so much credence to people who clearly despise him. Not just him, but the millions of “deplorable” voters who put him in office. He keeps trying to beat the media and political elites at their own game by being clever on Twitter, or tweaking them in speeches. What he needs to do is find his inner Calvin Coolidge and ignore them.

He should drill down on the issues that drove voters to put him in office, and doggedly push them forward. That means building a wall, protecting religious liberty, promoting more pro-life policies, and a long list of other things that would outrage our nation’s elites, while actually accomplishing something. That means listening to people like Steve Bannon, who helped him get elected, rather than Jared Kushner, whose sister is selling U.S. visas in China.

Yes, the left will wail and gnash their teeth, but they’re doing that already. They couldn’t hate Trump any more than they already do. He needs to see how liberating that is.

What we need to do is step back from panicking over the president, or desperately defending him in futile Tweets and Facebook posts. Instead we should see the deeper stakes of the battle at hand. And that should drive us daily to pray for the president: that God grant him the virtues of temperance, justice, prudence and fortitude, for the toughest job on earth. That’s the only real power we have. It’s quite enough. (For more from the author of “Is Trump Under Spiritual Attack?” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/05/trump-spiritual-attack/

Reporter Marina Marraco of Fox 5 in DC, asks the question, “Why has DC Police, as the lead agency on the investigation for the past ten months, insisted this was a botched robbery, when til this day there is no evidence to suggest that?” Rod Wheeler tells her, “The police department nor the FBI has been forthcoming, they haven’t been cooperating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his death lies on that computer, which I believe is either at the police department or either at the FBI. I’ve been told both.”...  http://rickwells.us/dnc-dc-mayors-office-seth-rich-murder-cover/

{patrioticviralnews.com} ~ That’s what Democratic Congresswoman and perennial crank Maxine Waters ought to learn, as this revealing clip shows. Time and again, Waters has loudly called for Donald Trump’s impeachment... practically since the day the president was elected. But just as other prominent Democrats have admitted, no evidence has come to light to justify those actions. Activists from Michael Moore to Madonna would be on Cloud Nine if such evidence came to light, but so far, there’s absolutely nothing, as even former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has said. So angry has President Trump become over this issue that he’s essentially tweeted these very words, using Clapper’s quotes and calling out the media for publishing “Fake News” about the story, which is essentially a non-story...http://patrioticviralnews.com/articles/maxine-waters-admits-no-proof-exists-of-collusion-between-trump-russia/

{westernjournalism.com} ~ Surveillance during the liar-nObama administration might have even reached the Supreme Court, Fox News legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano said Monday... Napolitano focused much of his interview with Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business Network on recent concerns voiced by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., that he was a subject of surveillance. Napolitano also added something he was told by the late Justice Antonin Scalia. “Justice Scalia told me that he often thought the court was being surveilled. {familysecuritymatters.org} ~ The Washington Post started a new anti-Trump firestorm late Monday when it reported that President Trump revealed highly classified information on terrorist threats from ISIS in Syria to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak... The Post's sources, current and former U.S. officials, portrayed this as a major scandal that put sensitive intelligence sources and methods at risk. The Post claims it did not reveal all the details of the disclosures from its sources because U.S. officials said this would "jeopardize important intelligence capabilities." Yes, there's a scandal here. It concerns former and current U.S. officials leaking classified information to the press to undermine a U.S. president... http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/trumps-russia-leak-the-real-scandal-behind-the-washington-post-story?f=must_reads

Who Has Absolute Health Care Moral Authority?
by Michelle Malkin
{truthrevolt.org} ~ Here is what happens if you try to tell health care stories that defy big government orthodoxy:

When GOP Congressman Rodney Davis of Illinois tried to recount how his wife, a nurse and colon cancer survivor, struggled in the nationalized Canadian health care system, liberal protesters responded by uttering "Ugh!" and catcalling him.

When GOP Rep. Tom MacArthur of New Jersey attempted to tell a rowdy town hall audience about health policy insights he gained caring for his special needs daughter, Gracie, who passed away at age 11, he was booed. And jeered. Rude pigs yelled "Shame!" at the insurance executive turned public servant as he talked about his daughter's legacy.

When GOP Rep. David Kustoff of Tennessee wrapped up a meeting with agricultural educators in his district this week, a woman stalked him and an aide -- reportedly, nearly driving them off a road. According to the sheriff's department, the stalker approached Rep. Kustoff's car, "screaming, "striking the windows," "cursing" and blocking the vehicle, according to police.

After GOP Rep. Martha McSally of Arizona voted for the House liar-nObamacare repeal plan, an unhinged Tucson public school employee left voice messages on her congressional office phone line threatening to "wring" her neck and "pull the trigger" to shoot her between the eyes.

When I countered late-night joker Jimmy Kimmel's liar-nObamacare-cheerleading monologue tied to his newborn child's chronic illness with my own experience as a mother of a chronically ill child, left-wing readers called me an "insensitive b----" "mean-spirited" and "twisted." One reading comprehension-challenged letter writer, Diane Goldwater, wrote:

"Perhaps one day one of your children will suffer from a life-threatening disease... what goes around comes around we will see how you feel when it happens to someone you love."

Along similar bloodthirsty lines, in response to all Republicans who supported the House health insurance package, Newsweek writer Kurt Eichenwald seethed on Twitter that he wanted his political enemies and their loved ones to be "tortured:"

"I hope every GOPr who voted 4 Trumpcare sees a family member get long term condition, lose insurance & die."

As ever, absolute moral authority only belongs to those who preach civility and compassion for others -- while ramming their own policy preferences and values down our throats.

Millions of us who wanted our individual market health insurance plans left alone were branded selfish or liars for the past eight years. Our stories were stifled; our cancellation notices derided; our accounts of skyrocketing health insurance costs and diminished access to doctors mocked.

The partisan Beltway press shot down true stories of government-engineered pain and suffering, while hyping countless tall tales spun by the liar-nObamacare Fable Factory.

Remember when Organizing for Action previously liar-nObama for America peddled the "success story" of Chad Henderson, a supposedly random millenial who miraculously enrolled in liar-nObamacare while everyone else in America experienced major tech meltdowns and sticker shock? Chad was an OFA volunteer who had actually never enrolled in liar-nObamcare -- and then claimed he was just "joking" when he got caught lying.

Or how about Otto Raddatz, the Illinois cancer patient promoted by President liar-nObama who supposedly died after he was dropped from his plan when his insurer discovered an unreported gallstone the patient hadn't known about. The truth? He got the treatment he needed in 2005 and lived for nearly four more years.

The Mother of All Pre-Existing Condition Cons, of course, involved President liar-nObama's own mom, Stanley Ann Dunham. He invoked Dunham's alleged deathbed fight with her insurer repeatedly in his quest for top-down health insurance mandates:

"For my mother to die of cancer at the age of 53 and have to spend the last months of her life in the hospital room arguing with insurance companies because they're saying that this may be a pre-existing condition and they don't have to pay her treatment, there's something fundamentally wrong about that."

But Dunham's health insurer had in fact reimbursed her medical expenses with no objections. The actual coverage dispute centered on a separate disability insurance policy.

To left-wing liars and control freaks go the government spoils and political immunity shields.

To the rest of us who dare to tell our counternarratives? Ad hominem attacks, road rage, death threats -- and complete apathy from the selective news suppressers of the Fourth Estate.

 Trump's Messaging and Communication Debacle
dxzmwUDSTnV00QbZlZrlNGOB8fHlu_03YqTHIqn6UJohERmN8lKJx6BoI6fXWZ9t7wel75XcZWL72kIkKYxhu4YnxLR1fngybGJXQwEsAwWIaD_UVZSYUbd2eu9Rig=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=
By Thomas Gallatin: Kellyanne Conway, senior counselor to Donald Trump, recently described her boss as "an unconventional president who is an excellent communicator." While few would disagree with Conway's assessment of Trump being "unconventional," he's a far cry from the Great Communicator.
While Trump's talking over the media while working toward reforming government is certainly Reaganesque, his temperament and inability to clearly communicate and stay on message set him apart. Where President Ronald Reagan went out of his way to find common ground and unite the country, Trump is more apt to go out of his way to pick fights with his opponents — many of them needless or without any clear objective. Where Reagan overlooked an insult, Trump insults back twice as hard.
Trump is clearly and justifiably frustrated with the hostile mainstream media and loves to respond in kind. This "fighter" attitude brought supporters flocking to his banner. But it's become a war for control of the narrative — a war that he cannot win with his undisciplined and often confusing approach toward message communication.
Trump's proclivity for tweeting has too often landed him into messaging troubles. He justifies the practice as an effective means of circumnavigating Leftmedia spin, allowing him to get his message directly to the people. He's right in a way, and, again, that campaign persona did propel him to popularity with the millions of Americans who tire of the seemingly spineless Republican. But a regular lack of clarity and some dubious claims or factually inaccurate tweets have provided more fodder for MSM criticism, rather than offer a clearly articulated statement on solid policy. He's campaigning, not governing, as we repeatedly said of Barack liar-nObama.
As the negative media fallout over Trump's explanation for firing FBI Director James Comey came due to the inconsistency of his account with that of his staff, he responded via his favorite media platform, tweeting, "As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!" He then added what has proven to be yet another MSM talking point: "Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future 'press briefings' and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???"
Or maybe he and his staff could get on the same page before setting the narrative and then changing it.
Predictably, the MSM had a field day claiming Trump is seeking to stifle the free press. Sending them on a wild goose chase may have been the intended aim of his tweet, but it's a long way from clear communication.
Friday morning, after his previous evening interview with NBC in which he dealt with questions over Comey's firing, Trump seemed to feel the need to warn/threaten Comey. Trump tweeted, "James Comey better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!" Why did Trump feel the need to ring that Pavlovian bell? The Leftmedia was already referring to his firing of Comey as "Nixonian" before he fed the beast.
The problem is that more often than not Trump's tweeting habit relays mere emotional outbursts rather than cogent arguments. His tweets often amount to little more than heckling and trolling than they do any form of substantive communications. This is his strategy — so as to connect him to his voting base — but that doesn't mean it's a good one. Trump is loath to recognize that his tweeting is hampering his agenda.
The bigger question is this: Where is the leadership? Where is Trump leading on health care or tax reform? Besides a few brief mentions, there is little coming from Trump. He put out intriguing corporate and individual tax reform proposals ... and then promptly stopped talking about them. As he watched health care reform crash and burn in the House, he just tweeted a few accusations against conservatives before turning his attention elsewhere. He celebrated its later passage with a Rose Garden ceremony, but what's he doing to move it through the Senate?
He has the bully pulpit but has been slow to use it because his focus has been, well, unfocused.
Another point: In a strange way, Trump and the MSM are in a sort of symbiotic relationship, both feeding off each other. The MSM loves his chaos for the constant "scandal" news alerts with which it can sell advertising. And Trump seems to enjoy it for its reality-TV-like excitement, and for the pure joy of tormenting his opponents.
Long gone are the excited feelings and hopeful statements after Trump's impressive speech given to the joint Congress at the outset of his term. Now, many conservatives and Republicans alike (particularly the staff he contradicts) are cringing at the thought of Trump's next tweet or press interview. While many of his decisions have been welcome changes, his confounding tweeting and the general failure of White House communication are simply agonizing. Again, tweeting and campaigning are different than governing, and it's time Trump put as much energy into the latter as he does the former.  ~The Patriot Post

Dobbs explains, “The fact is, the President has the right as the chief executive to declassify information if that’s what he chooses to do. The President was talking about intel that Israel developed regarding threats from the Islamic State.” He quotes a statement from the Israeli government dismissing the overblown treatment of the situation by the anti-American press. {clarionproject.org} ~ Iranians will be taking advantage of the May 19 presidential election to voice their apathy and respond to calls being made to boycott the so-called polls. They may also use the sham elections to spark an uprising against the regime... The Iranian people have lost all hope in any form of real elections in Iran, knowing the theocratic regime vets all candidates based on their loyalty to the ruling establishment. This leaves no room for free and fair elections, and thus any expectation of changes inside Iran or in the regime’s foreign policy through elected officials is utterly naïve. Even the past four years under the so-called “moderate” or “reformist” President Hassan Rouhani, Iran has executed over 3,000 people, enhanced its ballistic missiles program, openly backed the ruthless regime of Bashar Assad in Syria and further funded proxy wars in Iraq and Yemen. These regional crusades have deprived the Iranian people of dozens, if not hundreds, of billions of dollars... https://clarionproject.org/what-iran-fears-most/

{rickwells.us} ~ The press briefing conducted by National Security Adviser HR McMaster on Tuesday illustrates the reality of the futility of trying to reason with or even have a conversation with a leftist... Nothing penetrates their thick skulls, everything is dismissed for one reason or another as invalid, and they leave just as dissatisfied, critical and belligerent as they were when they arrived. Perhaps they’re even more hostile if their empty arguments and unfounded positions were completely vaporized by truth and reality. McMaster does what the administration still insists on doing, accommodating the sharks by swimming with them rather than closing the beach and opting for the calmer waters of a pool, where only the civilized, objective, true journalists are welcome. Susan Rice Seeking Immunity Deal

{
townhall.com} ~ Much of the media’s coverage of James Comey’s firing has focused on Donald Trump’s frequent self-defeating decision-making process.

Without warning and while Comey was out of town, Trump fired him in a manner that many people—even those who thought Comey deserved to be fired—considered demeaning.

But how did Comey, who’s often described as the last Boy Scout in Washington, handle his public humiliation?

Here’s the other half of the story.

Shortly after he was fired, a furious Comey boarded a Department of Justice Gulfstream G550 at Los Angeles Airport and began barking orders at his assistants.

He tried several times to reach Trump by telephone to get an explanation why he was fired in such a disrespectful manner. No one at the White House would take his call.

He was far from pleased that Trump appointed his deputy, Andrew McCabe, as acting director of the bureau. When McCabe’s wife ran for the Virginia state senate, she received thousands of dollars from a super PAC controlled by liar-Hillary Clinton’s close friend, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe.

Comey questioned whether McCabe was too close to the liar-Clintons during the FBI’s investigation of liar-Hillary’s e-mails.

After Comey landed in Washington, he called his wife, Patrice, who was in tears. She told him that the way he was treated by the president made it look as though he had committed some horrible crime.

Comey vowed to his wife that he would fight back and not allow his firing to be a stain on his character.

He also told friends that he wouldn’t be cowed by President Trump’s threatening tweet— “James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!”

In fact, Comey does not believe there are any incriminating tapes in Trump’s possession, and he intends to give interviews, pen Op-Ed pieces, and write a book about his experience.

Australia: More sharia down under, another public pool goes dark for Muslims
May 18, 2017 / creeping

Source: Mark Latham slams council for pool screens for Muslims | Daily Mail Online

Media personality Mark Latham says putting up curtains at a Sydney public swimming pool to cater for Muslim women is a step towards putting drapes around section of Bondi Beach – as an Islamic sheikh likened it to imposing sharia law in Australia’s suburbs.

The council-run Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre in the city’s west has installed a retractable curtain around one of its three pools so women can swim privately during two set time slots on Wednesdays, infuriating many residents who said it was like ‘segregation’.

The organiser of the swim group, Yusra Metwally, said the idea behind the sessions was to ‘accommodate people who wouldn’t otherwise swim at a beach, or swim in a swimming pool because they don’t feel comfortable’.

However Mr Latham, a former federal Labor leader, said it set an awful precedent and undermined Australia’s egalitarian values about people from all different backgrounds mixing together.

‘Where does it end? What’s the next step? Down at Bondi Beach, we’re going to have some curtained-off area, or something, it’s just ridiculous,’ he told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday.

While Mr Latham supported the right of Muslim women to swim in a burkini, he said councils were bowing to left-wing demands to protect minority groups instead of encouraging individuals to come to terms with their modesty issues.

‘It’s not going to be very helpful for Islamic integration into the broader Australian community,’ he said.

‘Enclaves are a disaster for Australian multiculturalism. It becomes monocultural.’

There are even critics within the Muslim community, with Adelaide Shia imam Sheikh Mohammad Tawhidi likening the swimming pool policy to sharia law.

‘It is part of sharia law that a strange man must not see the body of another woman, therefore they are installing the curtains,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

Sheikh Tawhidi said religious Muslims should build ‘Muslim-only swimming pools for themselves’ rather than have their laws imposed on non-Muslims.

‘Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre is not an Islamic swimming pool, therefore they should not be accepting of such an idea in the first place,’ he said.

‘The Muslim community can afford a private swimming pool for themselves that observes their sharia laws.’

Some locals have slammed the idea as ‘segregation,’ saying the women are receiving ‘special treatment’.

Anthony McIntosh, manager of the centre’s operator Belgravia Leisure, said the covering for the swimming pool’s glass walls was intended to make Muslim women more comfortable with aquatic activities.

People like Anthony McIntosh may mean well, but they only perpetuate the worst aspects of Islam for women. It’s not that Muslim women can’t swim in public, it’s that Muslim men will beat or kill the Muslim women for doing so. Well done Anthony.

Mass deportation is the only solution to save the West.

The politics of lies

NOTEWhen writing about God and Jesus, The Daily Jot means YHVH as God and Yeshua Ha Mashiach as Jesus--the actual original names and the true nature and character of them.

Thursday, May 18, 2017
Vladimir Lenin is quoted as saying, "A lie told often enough becomes the truth." Hitler's propaganda man Joseph Goebbels seemed to perfect it with his explanation, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." In America today, the "State" is the extreme left that has infiltrated all influential segments of society.

There are some big lies being told. The watchdog of lies, the free press, is part of the machine that cranks out lie after lie without seeking the truth. The truth has become such a moving target that it is only what each individual perceives as the truth. One person's truth may be different than another's truth. And neither may be true or one may be true or both may have parts of the truth. A little bit of truth makes a better lie. Psychology Today, in its article "Top Ten Secrets of Effective Liars," says the hardest lies to catch are the ones that tell the truth, but in a way that leaves a false impression. Like Goebbels and Lenin, politicians and their handlers know how to make lies stick.

There is a great amount of lies and deception hovering over America these days. People don't know what the truth is. And with so many negative stories bombarding us repeatedly every minute of every day, it is very difficult to get your bearings. There is a new story every minute that distracts from the previous one. The vast majority of them tell a little bit of truth to leave the impression that the author wants. The rest of the story may just be opinion or even propaganda. Themes repeated over and over again become as if they are truth, and they begin to shape opinions favorable to the lie. The "narrative," as it is called, is a controlled repetition of the lie-maker's craft aimed at winning the point.

Anything that the target of the lies does that reduces trust only gives more life to the lies. Case in point, is President Donald Trump's responses in social media and his lack of "polish" in what he says. His words are his personal enemy that continuously feed the cacophony surrounding his every move. Eventually, if left unchecked with no counterbalance, a line will be crossed where Trump will be rendered ineffective and what ever he does or says will be demeaned, even by his own supporters. We have a crisis on our hands here in America. This needs prayer and supplication, a miracle. I write this as Proverbs 22:21 says, "That I might make you know the certainty of the words of truth; that you might answer the words of truth to them that send unto you." Pray. Act. Speak truth. Change the narrative.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Rage at Rubio’s Bible Tweets: More Evidence of Troubling Bias Against Christians
May 17, 2017/by John Zmirak

Imagine if some Muslim member of Congress went on Twitter to share some harmless verses from the Quran — from the “happy parts” composed early on in Muhammad’s life, where he calls for peace and mercy.

Or if a Jewish member of Congress plucked some uplifting phrases out of the Talmud.

Or if a Californian member of Congress had offered something from the Dalai Lama.

Would it cause a controversy? I certainly hope not. I’d be especially troubled if Christian journalists raised a ruckus. If they pretended that a legislator doing this on his own Twitter account was a threat to American Christians, I’d consider those journalists idiots or bigots. They’d recall the classic character Gob Bluth on Arrested Development, who heckled a harmless student from India, with “Go home, you terrorist!”

But Jennifer Rubin of The Washington Post, and a number of other journalists, have apparently taken Gob Bluth as a role model. They’ve responded with shock and outrage to the following: Yesterday morning Catholic U.S. Senator Marco Rubio posted some phrases from the Bible on Twitter. (In fact, they were from the readings at the day’s daily Mass.) Here’s one:

Pretty ominous, huh? As if that weren’t enough, Sen. Rubio next went full-on Old Testament, posting these blood and thunder lines from Proverbs:

Isn’t your skin just crawling? What kind of moral monster would use his prestige as a U.S. legislator to share sentiments like that? Surely, this is the camel’s nose poking under the tent, making way for a full-on Christian theocracy, just like we saw on Netflix in The Handmaid’s Tale.

The Palm Beach Post helpfully compiled reactions which were almost that hysterical. Here’s The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin:

Esquire politics blogger Charles P. Pierce’s response was even more … fragile:

Leah McElrath writes for leftwing website Shareblue — and pledges in her Twitter profile to “#RESIST Trump, GOP, & global rise of white nationalist authoritarianism.” McElrath found Rubio’s Bible Tweets a positively creepy:

Normally I’d just shrug this off as part of the ordinary friction that comes in a free society when people of different views and beliefs rub up against each other. Sen. Rubio himself, apparently bemused, took to retweeting these crackpot reactions himself, without comment. A canny reaction.

Christians Need Not Apply

But put this in context. For centuries, American Christians were a vast and highly tolerant majority. Now the tenor of culture and laws has changed so drastically, that we are becoming an unpopular minority. Perhaps one not to be tolerated.

We got that message from the campaign of destruction launched against President Trump’s appointee for Army Secretary Mark Green. Green was forced to withdraw after Democrats denounced him as a hatemonger. What had Green said that outraged them?

He took the 6,000-year-old Jewish and Christian position on marriage: that it’s between a man and a woman.

Green stated the simple fact that gender dysphoria (transgenderism) is a mental disorder.

He characterized the Muslim horde that invaded, raped, and pillaged Constantinople in 1453 as a “Muslim horde.” (Maybe he should have been more tactful, and called them a “flow of immigrants.”)

Those positions made him unfit for public office in 2017 America. It’s the same America where the Governor of New Jersey just refused to ban child marriages out of respect for Islam, but Christian bakers and florists are force to service same-sex weddings. The same America where worried conservative Christians gave Donald Trump almost 80 percent of their votes … and couldn’t even get him to overturn Obama’s executive orders targeting them. Where Christian schools have to fight all the way to the Supreme Court to get public funds for playground safety. But public universities like U.C. Berkeley spend millions building “genderless” locker rooms to cater to the tragic pathologies of “transgender” students.

That’s how weak and vulnerable we have become. We don’t have the clout of the transgender lobby.

Scapegoating the Once Powerful

There’s no group that’s easier to get away with hating than one that was once quite powerful, which loses its grip. Think of the fate of noblemen in France after 1789, priests in Russia after 1917, or once-elite Tutsis in Rwanda in 1994.

In cases like those, people in the newly powerful group can indulge in open hatred for members of the now-dethroned minority. They can hide it behind past “abuses” (real or imagined). They can target innocent people, whip up resentment, encourage discrimination, even get the government to persecute helpless people — whose crime is that they belong to the group that fell from power.

This scapegoating has nothing to do with justice. Instead it’s a naked exercise in bullying. (For more from the author of “Rage at Rubio’s Bible Tweets: More Evidence of Troubling Bias Against Christians” please click HERE)

Former DOJ Spox: Comey Is Trying to Take Down Trump

Former FBI Director James Comey may have been building a legal case against President Donald Trump well before the president fired him on May 9, according to a former Department of Justice (DOJ) spokesperson.

Matthew Miller, who served as the DOJ’s Director of the Office of Public Affairs under former Attorney General Eric Holder, suggested that Comey may have been building an obstruction of justice case against the president, in an interview with the Washington Post.

Miller’s suggestion carries weight not just because of his extensive background at DOJ and in government, but also because he predicted that Comey left a paper trail of his interactions with Trump. Miller sent the following tweet five days before the New York Times reported that Comey wrote a memo indicating the president had asked him to end an investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

While Miller said it is standard practice for an FBI director to record potentially inappropriate conversations and behavior, Comey could have taken a different approach when speaking with the president.

“I keep wondering, something in the back of my head keeps saying to me, maybe Comey was actually trying to build an obstruction-of-justice case against the president here,” Miller told WaPo. MCCAIN Promotes IMPEACHMENT – Stumbles, Exposes Still Pushing OPEN BORDERS

Posted on May 18, 2017 by Rick Wells in Organized Leftist Opposition, Politics, President Donald Trump

john mccain impeachment trump

trump-club.jpg

RINO John McCain is right about one thing, we’ve seen this movie before, although he may not realize we’re not going to simply sit through and accept another staged presentation with the same ending. We see what he and his fellow establishment anti-Americans are doing and it’s not going to work this time around. They’re subverting the will of the American people.

In an interview with another globalist, CFR media hack Bob Schieffer, McCain attacked President Trump in a totally partisan Democrat manner, throwing in his cute little analogies in an apparent effort to make the message and the messenger less offensive; he failed.

McCain told the audience, “About the only thing I can say is I think we’ve seen this movie before. I think it’s reaching the point where it’s of Watergate size and scale and a couple of other scandals that you and I have seen.”

All McCain is doing is calling for impeachment with that statement. Watergate is synonymous with impeachment, size and scale mean the same thing, and he doesn’t nor is he likely capable of, name those “couple of other scandals.” It’s nothing more than a blatant attempt to call for impeachment because President Trump is against the globalists McCain serves.

Being the insect that he is, McCain once again repeats his new favorite quip of the past few weeks, saying, “It’s the centipede that the shoe continues to drop. And every couple days there’s a new aspect of this really unhappy situation.” That’s because he and his comrades are engineering the coup so that it unfolds a little bit at a time and builds. All he’s doing now is building on the foundation that he’s helped lay.

He then goes into his phony objective, wannabe statesman impersonation, saying, “You know, my friends, none of us, no matter what our political leanings are, no matter how we feel about  uh, Trump [deciding against using the title of President], feel this is not good for America. You’ve used a double negative there McCain, so you do feel this is good for America or at least for the globalist remake of America,  as you and your comrades are cannibalizing it. Those Vietnamese really made a believer out of you didn’t they, Songbird?

We have to do immi, uh, immi, uh, we have to do (checking notes) reform of Obamacare

McCain says, “We’ve got a crowded agenda. ” He garbles on in what sounds like, “Particularly speaking as Republican.” He lets the cat out of the bag on the true agenda he’s pushing, open borders by attempting to insert “immigration reform” or amnesty into the “agenda.” McCain stumbled along, saying, “We have to do immi, uh, immi – uh, we have to do (checking his notes) reform of Obamacare and replacement and we have to work on, uh, tax reform. We have a number of agenda items (globalist agenda) and I have to honestly speak to truth to my Republican friends. I don’t see how you can say that just the confirmation of Judge Gorsuch is enough of a record for us to stand before the American people in 2018.”

First of all, McCain should never forget that we are not his friends. Aside from Lindsey Graham, nobody likes him. As for the record, of course it’s not enough, but he’s with the obstructionists. Why not just stop? Aside from President Trump’s controversial cruise missile strike on Syria, politically a show of strength against the McCain boogeyman of Russia, he and his ilk haven’t supported President Trump or his agenda in any regard. Now he wants to point fingers at the President for not getting enough done when he and his globalist allies are to blame and use it as a pretext for kicking him out of office.

McCain is every bit as disgusting as Chuck Schumer and that’s saying a lot. McCain’s centipede needs to take those hundred or so boots and plant them squarely into the backsides of traitors such as himself and his comrades, driving them so far up their intestinal tracts that they never fully recover and must themselves be removed from office. They are the traitors to this nation; it is they who deserve to be impeached.

{rickwells.us} ~ Senator Chuck clown-Schumer oozes hypocrisy and reeks of sleaze as he steps to the podium of the Senate and embarks on another lie-based, innuendo-laden political attack on President Trump... clown-Schumer, the swamp snake, quotes a leak from the Washington Post which states that classified information was shared by President Trump with the Russian Foreign Minister and Ambassador regarding the terrorist threat from ISIS, the group that Hussein liar-nObama and liar-Hillary Clinton created. clown-Schumer seizes on the opportunity to attack not only President Trump, but Russia as well, highlighting every negative aspect of their conduct that he can. Levin says, with sarcastic feigned excitement, “Comey wrote a memo after he met with Trump in February. February, in February? Oh yes, yes.” Levin quotes the supposed memo, in its recounting of the alleged conversation and President Trump asking Comey to “just let it go,” to forget that whole investigation into Flynn. Levin notes that if it were true, “he’s interfering with an investigation.” He points out that “the information comes from senior officials at the FBI who Comey worked with, former associates and others. {
townhall.com} ~ Ellis “Jerry” Majetich served our country in both the Army and the Marine Corps. He was Security Team Leader, Captain's Orderly and Squad Leader with Weapons Company 1/7 during Desert Shield/Storm and a Tactical Team Leader with PSYOP, 7th Group during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In October 2005, his vehicle was struck with an IED. He suffered incredible injuries, including 100 percent face and scalp burns. He was unrecognizable.

Majetich was honorably discharged and given several awards, including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. His recovery has been a long, uphill battle. He has had 73 surgeries, including extensive facial reconstruction. Parts of his fingers have been amputated; his right hand is basically a nub.

He was eligible for full-time disability, but Majetich thought if he was capable of working and supporting himself, he would. He discovered Drexel Hamilton, a Wall Street firm that trains returning combat veterans in finance. Up until then, it hadn’t been easy for him to find a job. He had no ears, and many employers did not want to deal with his appearance.

Things finally started to look up for Majetich, and he married a longtime friend. He had no idea of the bureaucratic financial nightmare he was about to embark upon. He told me that he has received nothing less than outstanding medical treatment from the VA. But I am skeptical about its administrative side.

About two and half years ago, Majetich received a bill from the Social Security Administration for about $68,000. He was told that he must repay disability income that he had wrongly received. But he hadn’t done anything wrong.

When Majetich began working, he asked the Social Security Administration to discontinue the disability income. He was told that the pay would continue for six months, on a sort of trial period before being stopped, and would not have to be repaid. After the six months passed, the pay continued but was reduced a little. He immediately went to the agency again to tell them this, and was informed that his benefits had been halted and whatever he was receiving was because he was a combat veteran, or for his children because they were in college. He told them that he did not believe this was a proper benefit and that everything should stop, but they refused.

Over the next year, Majetich went to or called the Social Security office 13 times, which was documented in their computer system, telling them to stop paying him. If he attempted to pay them back, all payments made were simply paid back to him. On one of the last few trips there, his then-fiancee came with him and they both refused to leave until the agency produced something in writing showing he was entitled to the benefits. After almost an hour of research, the agency admitted he was right and finally agreed to halt the benefits. While Majetich was receiving the extra pay, he used it for what they told him it was for. He paid for his children’s schoolbooks and helped with their rent and other expenses.

Majetich again went to the Social Security office to at least try and have part of the $68,000 written off — but in the fine print there were three rules in order to have any part of the bill withdrawn. First, that it was a mistake by SSA. This was easy, it obviously was. Second, the SSA had to have been notified of their error. Again, easy, as shown in their own computer system, Majetich had been in their office 13 times to do this. But, ah, that third and final clause: Were you financially capable of living without the benefit? Due to the work Majetich was doing, he could have survived without it.

He began paying Social Security back $2,000-$2,500 every month.About a month before his wedding, Majetich received a bill from the IRS for about $9,800 saying that because he wasn’t entitled to the Social Security payments, they were being taxed. He dutifully paid the IRS debt off last year.

But then his disability pay from the VA stopped. When he inquired about it, he was told that he had been overpaid $17,600 because he never told them about a 2009 divorce to a previous wife. They said he’d received an extra $200 a month for his spouse after the divorce — curiously providing him with no evidence of this. But Majetich did tell the VA of his divorce immediately after it was finalized, because he didn't want his ex to have any access to his records. The response? It was a different division of the VA and the two departments did not communicate with each other.

How are veterans supposed to know they have to contact several different branches within the VA? He was told there are five different branches that should be notified with any marital changes, dependent changes or moves (the VA Medical Center, the VA Regional Office, Vocational Rehabilitation, Benefits and Finance). None of these offices use the same computer system and their computer systems cannot communicate with each other!

The VA said they sent Majetich a letter last October notifying him of this action and how to set up a payment plan — but the letter was sent to an address he had seven years ago.

Majetich was told if he didn’t set up a payment plan with the VA, he would not receive his $3,360 monthly payments for the next six months. But without this money, how could he pay Social Security back every month? He eventually obtained a partial benefits payment, but in return the veteran had to set up a monthly repayment plan of $1,400 for the next year.

In the past two and a half years, Majetich has received approximately $96,000 in bills from the government, of which he has paid back $55,000 so far. He now must pay Medicare premiums, since he is no longer receiving Social Security. This is ridiculous given that someone who is considered 100 percent disabled is not charged premiums!

Considering what Majetich went through due to his injuries, and the extensive efforts he took in order to clear up the disability payments, he should not be penalized for the government’s gross mistakes. He is one of the last Americans this should happen to.

Majetich is still undergoing extensive medical procedures. He is being treated for pre-cancerous cells on his lip and is waiting to receive laser treatment on his lips where the skin grafts are ripping at the corner of his mouth. He needs surgery on his right elbow for heterotopic ossification, where bone forms in the soft tissues, typically after a trauma or burn. He also needs surgery on what remains of his right hand to loosen the tendons, because it puts his hand into a fist and pulls it down at the wrist, causing significant pain.

Some medical issues he will live with the rest of his life. If he reads more than an article or something brief that requires comprehension, he has severe headaches due to traumatic brain injury. When he's overtired, his speech slows down and it is very difficult for him to speak. He aches from his injuries. He suffers from PTSD that worsens when he takes pain medication.

How do you fix this? Ellis Majetich doesn’t want pity. There needs to be a veterans’ advocate for seriously injured veterans. Congress can do this. And the rules need to be standardized across the board within the VA. Overall, the VA has provided Majetich with excellent medical care. But the lack of communication within the agency and with veterans is a real problem that needs work. All Majetich wanted to do was work to support himself and his family, instead of having taxpayers pay for his regular living expenses. President Trump said he is fixing problems within the VA. He or Congress need to fix this one, fast.

According to the old adage, there are two sides to any story — unless it's a Leftmedia hit piece, and then there is only their side.
Monday the Washington Post trumpeted, "Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian foreign minister and ambassador." The Post claimed that Donald Trump disclosed classified information that "jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State." The Post asserted the sources of this information were current and former unnamed U.S. officials. How's that for ambiguity.
Of course, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Reuters, CNN and BuzzFeed all got the same memo from the same "official sources" with the same objectives.
Monday evening, both National Security Advisor H.R. McMasters and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson insisted the Post's "story is false." McMasters stated, "At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly." Tillerson released a similar statement which read, "During President Trump's meeting with Foreign Minister Lavrov a broad range of subjects were discussed among which were common efforts and threats regarding counter-terrorism. During that exchange the nature of specific threats were discussed, but they did not discuss, sources, methods or military operations."
Tuesday morning Trump weighed in with the following social media post, "As President I wanted to share with Russia (at an openly scheduled W.H. meeting) which I have the absolute right to do, facts pertaining to terrorism and airline flight safety. Humanitarian reasons, plus I want Russia to greatly step up their fight against ISIS & terrorism." That brought howls of accusations, claiming that according to the Post, "Trump just threw his top advisers under the bus ... again." We're not sure how that phrase applies here because he didn't contradict anything they said, even though that's what the Post would have you assume.
Here's a reality check: Nations with shared national security interests, in this case concerns about bombs on civilian airliners, share classified information on a regular basis. The ostensible reason for the Post report is not that sensitive information was shared, but a much more nuanced and complicated question of what protocols, sources and methods might have been compromised by sharing some piece of information. "Nuanced and complicated questions" are the stuff of great conspiracy theories, and lots of MSM advertising revenue.
It's not like Trump kept classified information exposing sources and methods on a private unsecured server in a bathroom closet, as was the case with liar-Hillary Clinton. Nor was it like Barack liar-nObama, who whispered in the ear of Dmitry Medvedev that after his re-election he could cut a deal with Vladimir Putin and sell out U.S. national security.
The Leftmedia, of which the Washington Post is a flagship outlet, are propagating this story for two reasons. First, it sells. It's the life blood of tabloids — and WaPo has devolved into little more than that. Second, the Washington establishment is terrified of this administration's policy objectives, restoring Rule of Law and disenfranchising central government power — and the MSM is doing everything possible to disable and undermine those objectives. ~The Patriot Post

{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ Thanks to the tenacity and persistence of two key legislators in the Arkansas state capitol, Arkansas has joined the growing ranks of states that have moved to protect their citizens and residents from foreign laws and foreign legal doctrines... including Shariah, in state courts. The U.S. Constitution especially under the Bill of Rights, the first Ten Amendments to the Constitution, has a unique set of rights that are truly unique around the world. Rights like Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Expression covered under the First Amendment, the Right to Bear Arms in the Second Amendment, Due Process, Equal Protection-all of these rights are uniquely American and are specified in our Constitution. Many foreign laws and foreign legal doctrines, including Sharia as just one example, as practiced around the world are in direct contravention of these rights. In fact, such rights do not exist in many foreign laws and foreign legal doctrines. When court cases arise in the United States involving foreign laws, there are inevitable conflicts with the U.S. Constitution... http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/arkansas-joins-ranks-of-states-standing-up-to-protect-constitutional-rights-against-foreign-law?f=must_reads

{cnbc.com} ~ Senator Ted Cruz has spent much of his tenure in Washington angering Democrats, Republicans, and the Trump team to boot. It often seems like he may be the most hated man in American politics... But now, he just might be the most needed. This is all because the GOP liar-nObamacare replacement bill is on life support on arrival in the U.S. Senate. As it stands now, it's a lot like Cruz in that it's almost universally hated by everyone. Of course the bill is a non-starter for Democrats, but many Republicans are terrified by the fact that it basically keeps almost all of liar-nObamacare intact without maintaining even its currently insufficient sources of funding. And then comes the White House, which seems to only be interested in getting a replacement bill passed and then declaring victory no matter what's in the measure. So who can save this damaged bill that has almost no fervent supporters?...http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/11/ted-cruz-may-be-the-only-man-who-can-save-the-gop-health-bill-percent-u2014commentary.html

{rickwells.us} ~ There are two questions that immediately come to mind when learning of the “new evidence” from James Comey that President Trump supposedly attempted to influence him... the first being why would anyone believe a word this political hack and likely crook has to say and secondly, why would we trust an accounting of it in the New York Times to be anything other than a partisan, anti-Trump hit job? Of course the answer to both questions is “we shouldn’t.” The New York Times is the same trusted “news” source that was busted for fabricating stories about the President and some of the women in his life, such as Rowanne Brewer Lane, a year ago to the day. If anything they’ve gotten less credible since that time. They labeled a document written by Comey, supposedly his own notes of a February meeting with President Trump, as “evidence that the President has tried to directly influence the Justice Department and FBI investigation into links between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia.”...http://rickwells.us/comey-diy-fabricated-evidence-trump-nyt-dems-run/

{
wnd.com} ~Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, who was murdered nearly one year ago, was communicating with WikiLeaks before his death, according to the family’s private investigator.

Investigator Rod Wheeler, a former D.C. police homicide detective who was hired by a third party to investigate for the Rich family, told Fox 5 in Washington, D.C., Rich’s laptop had evidence indicating he had been in contact with the organization.

“Now, questions have been raised on why D.C. police, the lead agency on this murder investigation for the past ten months, have insisted this was a robbery gone bad when there appears to be no evidence to suggest that,” the news station reported Monday.

“The police department nor the FBI have been forthcoming,” said Wheeler. “They haven’t been cooperating at all. I believe that the answer to solving his death lies on that computer, which I believe is either at the police department or either at the FBI. I have been told both.”

A federal investigator who reviewed an FBI forensic report detailing the contents of Rich’s computer generated within 96 hours after his murder told Fox News that Rich made contact with WikiLeaks through Gavin MacFadyen, a now-deceased American investigative reporter, documentary filmmaker and director of WikiLeaks who was living in London at the time.

MacFadyen, an early mentor and defender of the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, died of lung cancer in October 2016.

The investigator, who requested anonymity, said 44,053 emails and 17,761 attachments between DNC leaders, spanning from January 2015 through late May 2016, were transferred from Rich to MacFadyen before May 21.

Fox 5 asked Wheeler if his sources have connected Rich to WikiLeaks, and he replied: “Absolutely. Yeah. That’s confirmed.”

Wheeler said he believes there’s a big cover-up that involves the FBI and the police department.

“My investigation shows someone within the D.C. government, Democratic National Committee or liar-Clinton team is blocking the murder investigation from going forward,” Wheeler told Fox News. “That is unfortunate. Seth Rich’s murder is unsolved as a result of that.”

Wheeler also told the station: “I have a source inside the police department that has looked at me straight in the eye and said, ‘Rod, we were told to stand down on this case and I can’t share any information with you.’ Now, that is highly unusual for a murder investigation, especially from a police department. Again, I don’t think it comes from the chief’s office, but I do believe there is a correlation between the mayor’s office and the DNC and that is the information that will come out Tuesday.”

WND contacted Metropolitan Police Department and asked: “Can you confirm or deny your department has a laptop owned by murder victim Seth Rich that had evidence of contact with WikiLeaks on it, or that your department was ‘told to stand down on this case.'”

The police department sent WND a statement:
The Metropolitan Police Department’s (MPD) Homicide Branch is actively investigating Mr. Rich’s murder and we continue to work with the family to bring closure to this case as we do with all homicide investigations. If there are any individuals who feel they have information, we urge them to call us at 202-727-9099 or text us at 50411. The department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information on this case that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
A spokesman for Rich’s family on Tuesday said Wheeler was not authorized to speak for the family and denied the report that Rich had been in contact with WikiLeaks.

“As we’ve seen through the past year of unsubstantiated claims, we see no facts, we have seen no evidence, we have been approached with no emails and only learned about this when contacted by the press,” spokesman Brad Bauman said in an emailed statement. “Even if tomorrow, an email was found, it is not a high enough bar of evidence to prove any interactions as emails can be altered and we’ve seen that those interested in pushing conspiracies will stop at nothing to do so.”

The family’s statement continued:

“We are a family who is committed to facts, not fake evidence that surfaces every few months to fill the void and distract law enforcement and the general public from finding Seth’s murderers. The services of the private investigator who spoke to press was offered to the Rich family and paid for by a third party, and contractually was barred from speaking to press or anyone outside of law enforcement or the family unless explicitly authorized by the family.”

Bauman said the family condemned what they see as an attempt to politicize Rich’s death.

“It’s sad but unsurprising that a group of media outlets who have repeatedly lied to the American people would try and manipulate the legacy of a murder victim in order to forward their own political agenda,” Bauman told Business Insider. “I think there is a special place in hell for people like that.”

Bauman is a professional Democratic crisis public-relations consultant with the Pastorum Group in Washington, D.C.

“Progressive politics is my passion, it is more than just my life’s work,” said Bauman in a company press release announcing his hiring in 2016.

The slain man’s parents, Mary and Joel Rich of Omaha, Nebraska, said in an August 2016 interview with the Daily Mail that their son had been asked to join liar-Hillary Clinton’s campaign four days before he was murdered.

“He had just found out they wanted him and he was probably going to be moving up to Brooklyn through the election. He was really excited about that,” said Joel Rich.

WND reported Rich was murdered near his affluent neighborhood in Washington, D.C., on July 10, 2016. He was shot in the back at 4:18 a.m. while he walked home.

Rich had been at Lou’s City Bar a couple of miles from his house until about 1:15 a.m.

An employee offered Rich a ride home because he appeared intoxicated and unsteady on his feet. Rich refused and said he was planning to walk over to Wonderland Ballroom, a popular late-night bar a few blocks away, reported the London Daily Mail.

However, no one at the Wonderland recalls seeing Rich there, and his whereabouts from the time he left Lou’s until the time he was shot remain a mystery.

Rich, who called several people as he later walked home, was talking on the phone with his girlfriend, Kelsey Murka, when he was accosted a block from his house.

“If it was a robbery it failed because he still has his watch, he still has his money, he still has his credit cards, still had his phone, so it was a wasted effort except we lost a life,” said Joel Rich, shortly after the murder.

Police have declined to say whether he was able to describe his assailants.

Rich previously worked on the failed U.S. Senate campaign of Nebraska businessman Scott Kleeb, whose clean-energy business had come under investigation after losing $300,000 in 2010 and another $300,000 in 2011 despite having been subsidized by the liar-Clinton Global Initiative.

Rich is on WND’s list of 33 people associated with the liar-Clintons who have died mysterious and often violent deaths.

On July 22, just 12 days after Rich was killed, WikiLeaks published internal DNC emails that appeared to show top party officials conspired to stop Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont from becoming the party’s presidential nominee.

A commentary by Rachel Alexander at Townhall suggested possible corruption between the liar-Clinton Global Initiative and Kleeb “led to Sanders’ cronies pressuring Rich to leak what was going on.”

In an August 2016 interview on the Dutch television program Nieuwsuur, Assange appeared to suggest that Rich, 27, was the source of the WikiLeaks-exposed DNC emails.

“Our whistleblowers go to significant efforts to give us material, at often very significant risks,” Assange said. “There was a 27 year old, works for the DNC, who was shot in the back, murdered just a few weeks ago for unknown reasons other than that he was walking down the street in Washington.”

The interviewer interjected, “That was just a robbery, I believe, wasn’t it?”

Assange replied, “No, there’s no finding.”

The interviewer asked, “What are you suggesting?”

"I’m suggesting that our sources take risks and they become concerned to see things occurring like that,” Assange said.

“But was he one of your sources then?” asked the interviewer.

“We don’t comment on who our sources are,” Assange said. “We have to understand how high the stakes are in the United States. Our sources are, you know, our sources face serious risks. That’s why they come to us, so we can protect their anonymity.”

Assange continued: “Others have suggested that Rich was murdered. We are investigating. If you understand what happened in that situation with Seth Rich, I think it is a concerning situation. There’s not a conclusion yet. We wouldn’t be willing to state a conclusion, but we are concerned about it. More importantly, a variety of WikiLeaks sources are concerned when that kind of thing happens.”

The Significance of the Murdered DNC Staffer

The Democratic National Committee is back in the news, and it's not just because its being sued for not paying workers $15 an hour to campaign for a federal minimum wage of ... $15 an hour. No, the real story is the DNC staff who was murdered in DC last summer. Why's that a story? Let's look at the history.
Last summer, WikiLeaks released a huge cache of emails from key Democrats revealing the DNC's conspiracy to sabotage Bernie Sanders' campaign on behalf of liar-Hillary Clinton. We suppose liar-Hillary's "reset" with the Russians worked, because the DNC blamed Moscow for the leaks. Democrats have been screaming about Russia "hacking" the election ever since.
A few weeks later, Donald Trump hit liar-Clinton over her illegal unsecured email server by taunting, "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 [liar-Hillary Clinton] emails that are missing." What began as the Democrats' Russia hacking narrative soon became the story of Trump colluding with Vladimir Putin. Trump's tease caught liar-Clinton in an obvious contradiction, but Democrats used it to build a narrative.
Thus the import of what we learn today. Fox News reports, "The Democratic National Committee staffer who was gunned down on July 10 on a Washington, D.C., street just steps from his home had leaked thousands of internal emails to WikiLeaks." Julian Assange, the tool who runs WikiLeaks, suggested this last summer, but he's not exactly a credible source. Now, a federal investigator has confirmed it.
In any case, 12 days after Rich was shot from behind, WikiLeaks published the damning internal DNC emails — damning not because WikiLeaks released them or "the Russians" hacked them, but because of what Democrats themselves were saying behind closed doors. And then you've got John Podesta emailing, "I'm definitely for making an example of a suspected leaker whether or not we have any real basis for it."
Death and liar-Hillary Clinton have a long history, but this is getting ridiculous.  ~The Patriot Post

A positive interaction with another human would be one in which the other person ends up scattered over a wide area. A meaningful discussion would include convincing your fellow terrorist that the target you selected held the most potential for mayhem. It’s therefore understandable that an average American citizen might be a bit caught off guard expecting all of those things to carry some weight in an interaction with a foreigner. {jewishworldreview.com} ~ The presence of a Russian photographer working for a state-owned news agency during President Donald Trump's meeting Wednesday with Russian diplomats in the Oval Office sparked criticism from media advocates as well as concerns over the risk of a security breach.

White House officials seemed caught off-guard by the controversy, initially saying they had not anticipated that the state news agency Tass would post photographs from the meeting. "They tricked us," one unnamed official was quoted as saying by CNN.

American news organizations were not granted access to the Oval Office meeting; an official White House photographer was present. Officials said they were unaware that photographer Alexandr Scherbak would be shooting for both Tass and the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Russian officials have fired back fiercely by taking aim at the U.S. media.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova criticized a Washington Post story about the meeting on the sidelines of Thursday's Arctic Council meeting in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Washington Post story, published soon after the Oval Office meeting, had quoted a number of former intelligence officials who said that White House visitors could hide surveillance equipment such as a listening device in a camera or other equipment.

"Here he is -- the spy!" Zakharova said sarcastically after being approached by a Post reporter, referring to Scherbak, standing nearby. "Your newspaper is making our correspondents feel like Jews in 1933."

In Facebook postings on Thursday, Zakharova also criticized CNN's coverage of the Oval Office meeting, accusing the news network of reaching "rock bottom."

The spokeswoman shared a Web page made by the Russian Embassy in Washington that was simply a list of more than 200 tweets by journalists and other public figures discussing the meeting.

Scherbak issued his reply Thursday in a Facebook post written in Russian and later translated to English. Addressing the "U.S. media" directly about the "hysteria surrounding my photo shoot at the White House," Scherbak said he had covered similar meetings around the world before and there was "nothing unusual" about Wednesday's session.

After the Russian foreign minister met with his U.S. counterpart, "I was taken by a U.S. representative to the White House. I was scanned, patted down, and then sniffed by canines," Scherbak wrote.

Inside the Oval Office, he was accompanied by an official White House photographer, he said. "I took only two cameras to the photo shoot, I left all my stuff, including my cellphone, in another room as I was told to do."

On Friday, the Russian Journalists' Union issued a statement in support of Scherbak, suggesting that he had "become another target of attacks by CNN journalists."

Wednesday's White House meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and other officials, including Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, came at a time of renewed scrutiny over ties between the Trump campaign and Moscow. Kislyak in particular has featured in one of the new administration's most notable controversies, with national security adviser Michael Flynn forced to resign in February after misleading Vice President Mike Pence about his contacts with the ambassador last year.

U.S. intelligence agencies concluded with "high confidence" that Russia tried to affect the outcome of the 2016 election, an allegation Lavrov has denied repeatedly.

The Post reported after the meeting that although all visitors entering the White House were subjected to a security screening, some former intelligence officials suggested that such a screening could not detect a sophisticated device. Todd Morris, founder and chief executive of the countersurveillance advisory company BrickHouse Security, told The Post that a covert device could be as small as a matchbook and that though it might eventually be found, it could transmit its data quickly.

Media Elite Indulging Dangerous Fantasies About Removing Trump From Office
By John Daniel Davidson
After several days of disturbing revelations about President Trump's conduct in office, here come the calls for his removal — not from Progressives (those have already come, early and often), but from Conservatives. Ross Douthat of the New York Times writes in his Wednesday column that Trump should be removed from office, not impeached, using the mechanisms provided by the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
The Cold War-era amendment allows the removal of the president if a majority of the cabinet affirms that he is unable to discharge the duties of his office. If the president resists, a two-thirds vote from Congress will confirm the cabinet's judgment. It was designed to clarify who has the constitutional authority to declare a president incapacitated, a necessity that became apparent following the assassination of President Kennedy.
The 25th Amendment is not, however, a way for elites to get rid of a president they despise without having to persuade the millions of people who voted for him that he is indeed unfit for office. Douthat is indulging a dangerous fantasy here. It might feel good to write a column calling for the president's removal. It might give pundits a rush of blood to the head. But this is not a parlor game.
The country is deeply divided. People have taken to attacking each other in the streets and threatening congressmen when they venture outside Washington. We're still recovering from a presidential election that actually ended marriages and tore families apart. Trump's election was, more than anything else, a giant middle finger to the political establishment, which has lost the confidence of the American people.
If now seems like the right time for that establishment to launch an unconstitutional coup to remove the president through a specious application of the 25th Amendment, then I respectfully submit that you're underestimating the precariousness of national life at this moment.
None of this is a defense of Trump. Perhaps it will turn out that he really is unfit for office. He certainly seems to be woefully deficient in the qualities necessary for a successful presidency, like prudence, patience, and a general seriousness and curiosity about the world. Of course, the torrent of news this week should worry every American...

 Trump's Agenda Blocked by Distractions

Donald Trump is way behind on naming government appointments and, no surprise, Democrats aren't helping. Thus far in his presidency, Trump has made only 85 nominations, which is lagging significantly behind the numbers posted by his three predecessors; Barack liar-nObama had nominated 212, George W. Bush 161 and Bill liar-Clinton 182. Even George H. W. Bush had made 135 by this point in his presidency, which is interesting given the fact that he was following Ronald Reagan.
"Leadership matters a lot, as does having the right people in place," said Mallory Barg Bulman vice president of research and evaluation at the Partnership for Public Service. "You can't start the game until the whole team is on the field."
According to the White House, the slow walking is intentional. Press Secretary Sean Spicer stated, "We're actually going through the Office of Government Ethics and FBI clearances before announcing most of these individuals. And so, there's a little bit of a difference in how we're doing this. But we are well on pace with respect to many of these [appointments] to get the government up and running." However, it's interesting to note that Trump has yet to nominate anyone for director of the Office of Personnel Management, the agency tasked with managing the federal workforce. One would think that would be a priority nomination.
But with Democrats pledging to throw up road blocks to any and all of Trump's nominees, all while demanding that a special prosecutor be named to investigate the phony Russia-Trump collusion allegations, it would seem counterintuitive to be moving this slowly.
There's another seemingly growing problem — Republicans, holding a slim majority, are showing some signs of splitting from supporting Trump, especially since the firing of James Comey. The lack of consistently disciplined and cohesive communications coming from Trump and his administration, which is an intentional strategy to keep his opponents guessing, is proving to sow an increasing amount of confusion and frustration on Trump's own side — particularly with congressional Republicans. Often they're left scrambling to both understand and answer for statements from Trump's White House with little to no warning. Instead of being on the offensive, the GOP is seemingly playing from behind, as if they were the minority party.
Robert Moffit, a former assistant OPM director during Ronald Reagan's presidency and current senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation, said, "The bottom line is that the president can't run the federal government out of the White House and secretaries can't run giant agencies huddled in an executive suite. Unilateral disarmament is a victory for the swamp. The swamp creatures have won the fight. Unless you control the bureaucracy, the bureaucracy controls you."
Trump needs to ramp up his nomination rate, encourage Republicans to stand firmly united and call out Democrats for being the party of obstructionists, if he hopes to get more of his swamp-draining agenda enacted. Americans are on Trump's side when it comes to reforming the bureaucracy of DC, but he needs to end his distraction campaign and focus on getting his total team in place. ~The Patriot Post

{rickwells.us} ~ Strictly based upon the question the judge asks in the opening of the video, things aren’t looking so good for President Trump’s anti-terrorist entry executive order... and the Americans he had hoped to protect with it. A scruffy, libtard judge from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals misses the point completely. He asked the acting Solicitor General, Jeffrey Wall, “Has the President ever disavowed his campaign statements? Has he ever stood up and said, ‘I said before I wanted to ban all members of the Islamic faith from entering the United States of America. I was wrong; I consulted with lawyers. I am now addressing simply to security needs.’ Has he ever said anything approaching that?”...http://rickwells.us/judge-reveals-liberal-bias-trump-protecting-america/

{dailycaller.com} ~ German Chancellor Angela Merkel does not plan on increasing the country’s commitment to the fight against the Islamic State even if NATO increases its commitment to the fight, she declared Thursday... Merkel appeared with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg who has indicated he is amenable to President Donald Trump’s insistence that the alliance increase its commitment to the U.S. led anti-ISIS effort. Trump pushed Stoltenberg to “adapt to the challenges of the future” during his April 12 visit. “This includes upgrading NATO to focus on today’s most pressing security and all of its challenges, including migration and terrorism,” he continued...She is making one big mistake for Germany. http://dailycaller.com/2017/05/12/merkel-germany-wont-step-up-fight-against-isis-even-if-nato-does/

US Cuts Millions in United Nations
Funding - EU Upset
by Tim Brown
{freedomoutpost.com} ~ One of the good things to come of the $1.1 trillion government-wide spending bill that was passed earlier this month was the fact that $640 million in United Nations funding was slashed... According to the Associated Press, "Funding for U.N. agencies is cut by $640 million from current levels." While that is a good thing, we should have entirely defunded the United Nations and kicked them off US soil... http://freedomoutpost.com/us-cuts-millions-in-united-nations-funding-eu-upset/

{rickwells.us} ~ Jay Sekulow clears up the fog that former DNI James Clapper tried to create as part of the Sunday shows coordinated attack on President Trump, citing the same talking points in the same manner as Rep Adam Schiff did later in the day... Sekulow described the Clapper spew as including a statement that “President Trump is interfering with institutions inside the United States because he fired the then-FBI Director James Comey. Sekulow says, “James Clapper, with respect to the office, I think he is way off base here. The idea that the executive, the President can fire an executive member, staff member, the FBI Director, isn’t some constitutional mischief. That’s exactly what the Constitution allows. So I think the left and the media is getting into this entire Trump attacking the institutions of government.” He reminds the audience, “It is the left that’s saying ‘we will not put in place an FBI director, no matter who it is, until a special prosecutor, independent prosecutor is put in place. That is the violation of the institutions. It is the FBI, after all, that reports and responds to the Department of Justice... http://rickwells.us/sekulow-whiny-clapper-perverting-constitution-corrupt-comey-deserved-firing/

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ This year marks the 75th anniversary of the release of "Casablanca," which immortalized quiet acts of resistance against fascism at the murky crossroads that was wartime Morocco.

The legendary scene at Rick's Cafe where refugees, led by Paul Henreid, drown out Nazi officers by singing "La Marseillaise" became an instant inspiration to moviegoers as World War II was raging.

The location of the film was no accident: Casablanca was a haven for those fleeing for their lives. And it was also the scene of a much greater -- and real life -- act of heroism, one far too little known or recognized: the protection of the Jews of Morocco by the young Sultan Mohammed V.

At a time when anti-Semitism and Islamophobia are on the rise globally, we should honor this overlooked but remarkable example of enlightened leadership.

Born the third son of the reigning sultan's younger brother, Mohammed was an unlikely ruler from the start and certainly an unexpected hero.

A series of international disputes between France and Germany led to the Treaty of Fez in 1912 and French control of Morocco. Mohammed's father, Moulay Yousef, replaced his older sibling on the throne when his brother abdicated because of the treaty.

Fifteen years later, upon his father's death, 16-year-old Mohammed was named sultan largely because the French viewed him as more docile than his older brothers. This turned out to be one of the great misjudgments in French colonial history.

When Paris fell to the Germans in July 1940, the sultan, then 30, was put in a precarious position as Morocco came under the rule of the collaborationist French Vichy regime.

Among their first acts, the new overseers sought to impose anti-Semitic laws in Morocco, as per Nazi protocol.

Jews had lived in that part of the world since well before Carthage fell, and over a quarter of a million called Morocco their home in 1940.

Members of the community had served the sultans' court as ministers, diplomats and advisors. Mohammed V took seriously his role as Commander of the Faithful, which he viewed to include all "people of the book," meaning everyone belonging to the Abrahamic faiths -- Jews, Christians and Muslims. He bravely, publicly declined to assist in the persecution of his own Jewish citizens.

"There are no Jews in Morocco," he declared. "There are only Moroccan subjects."

Vichy authorities soon forced Mohammed V to promulgate two laws restricting certain professions and schools to Jews and requiring them to live in ghettos. In an act of resistance, the sultan declined to fully enforce the laws. A direct descendant of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, through Muhammad's daughter Fatimah, the sultan refused to be intimidated. A French government telegram, discovered in Paris archives four decades later, reported that relations between France and Morocco became "much more tense since the day" the laws went into effect. In 1941, for the first time, Mohammed V made a point of inviting senior representatives of the Jewish community to the annual banquet celebrating the anniversary of his sultanate and placing them in the best seats next to the French officials.

"I absolutely do not approve of the new anti-Semitic laws and I refuse to associate myself with a measure I disagree with," he told the French officials. "I reiterate as I did in the past that the Jews are under my protection and I reject any distinction that should be made amongst my people."

Although there were limits to his power, Mohammed V ensured that there were never roundups of Jews in Morocco; it remained a haven to the extent possible. During Vichy rule -- which lasted a little more than two years -- no Moroccan Jews were deported or killed; nor were they forced to wear the yellow star. When Allied troops liberated North Africa in November 1942, the Moroccan Jewish community was essentially intact.

The sultan's actions offer a contrast with other leaders who rallied to the side of the Axis powers in hopes of driving the Jews from Palestine and the British from the Middle East. The grand mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin Husseini, for example, spent the war years in Berlin, courting Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler, plotting the extermination of the Jews and recruiting Eastern European Muslims to fight for the Nazi cause.

Mohammed V, on the other hand, was a strong supporter of the Allies and welcomed President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and French President Charles de Gaulle for four days in 1943 at the historic Casablanca conference. Throughout the sultan's reign, he continued to protect his Jewish subjects. When the Arab world reacted violently to the declaration of the state of Israel in 1948, the sultan reminded Moroccans that Jews had always been protected in their country and should not be harmed.

Mohammed V died suddenly in 1961, just four years after Morocco became an independent constitutional monarchy and he gained the title king. The outpouring of grief was immense. Some 75,000 Jews publicly mourned, the chief rabbi delivered a memorial address by radio, and Jews were prominent participants at the coronation of his son Hassan II and at the new king's initial prayer services.

The Moroccan Jewish community has dwindled, but in commemorations to this day, its members declare their "eternal gratitude" to Mohammed V and recall his heroism. At a time when such selflessness is in short supply, we should do the same.
