Army General and Former VP of Company at the Heart of Child Sex Trafficking Scandal Arrested for Child Rape

A retired Army general, who after leaving the military, worked as VP for embattled DynaCorp International for three years – the private military contractor at the heart of numerous international child sex scandals – has been charged with multiple counts of rape for the alleged assault of at least one minor three decades ago.

Maj. Gen. James Grazioplene faces six charges for alleged rapes that happened in 1983 and 1989, according to an announcement made by the Army last Friday. He faces life and prison and the loss of his pension if convicted of the charges. As a retired officer, Grazioplene is subject to military law under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and will face an Article 32 hearing to determine if he will face a court martial.

Details surrounding the case remain scarce, as the Army released no other information as to what precipitated Grazioplene being charged three decades after the alleged sexual assault . . .

While potentially just a coincidence, Grazioplene’s connections with DynCorp immediately raise a red flag, as the company has been embroiled in numerous high-level scandals involving the exploitation and trafficking of children for sex — dating as far back as the Bosnia conflict during Bill Clinton’s tenure as US President.

Revealing the extreme level of complicity, by DynCorp, in the illegal exploitation of children, former employee, Ben Johnston filed a RICO lawsuit against Dyncorp after he was allegedly fired for reporting human rights abuses by other employees during the Bosnian conflict. Lesbian Teacher Bans Cross Jewelry, Plasters Class With LGBT Propaganda

The Christian religious liberty defense group Liberty Counsel sent a demand letter to the Hillsborough County Public Schools on Thursday to protest a lesbian activist teacher who allegedly banned some of her students from wearing Christian jewelry and turned her classroom into an intolerant, pro-LGBTQ propaganda zone.

Lora Jane Riedas, a math teacher at Riverview High School in Tampa, placed LGBT “rainbow” stickers on her students’ notebooks and decorated her classroom with décor that “blatantly promotes a pro-LGBT agenda,” according to the letter from Liberty Counsel attorneys Richard Mast and Mary McAlister to Hillsborough County schools Superintendent Jeff Eakins.

“I need you to take your necklace off,” Riedas allegedly said to one student wearing a cross necklace. The student, Liberty Counsel’s client, asked “Why?” Then Riedas refused to explain, stating “That’s disrespectful; you have to take it off,” according to the demand letter.

“Our client did not want to be disrespectful, so she took it off, but she felt bad because she felt she was being forced to deny her faith,” said the letter. “All of our clients are afraid to openly wear their cross necklaces in [Riedas’] class anymore.”

Riedas has prohibited at least three students from wearing Christian cross necklaces in her classroom, claiming they are “gang symbols,” according to the Liberty Counsel press release. One of the crosses, a tiny crucifix worn by Liberty Counsel’s ninth grade client, is less than an inch long. NYPD Boss Jailed for 28 Years in Elite Pedophile Ring Sting

It truly is disgusting to see how many pedophiles hold high positions in our society. And for too long, they have been doing more than just getting away with it, they have been abusing their positions of power to exploit even more children. Well, that’s about to change, and the Trump administration’s often-unreported crackdown against pedophile rings continues. Their latest capture is former NYPD department boss Alberto Randazzo.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at the crimes committed by Randazzo, which includes persuading mothers to sexually abuse their children for his own sick viewing pleasure. This is horrifying, but compared to the elite pedophiles infesting DC, this guy is a small fry. How many more pedophiles are hiding in positions of power?

Your News Wire reports:

Alberto Randazzo, a former New York City Police Department boss, was sentenced to 28 years in prison for sexual exploitation of children and receipt of child pornography, as the Trump administration’s investigation into the elite pedophile ring that has infiltrated politics and law enforcement nationwide continues taking down high-profile perpetrators.

Randazzo was caught targeting mothers, persuading them to sexually abuse their children and send him pictures and videos of the acts. {rickwells.us} ~ DNC Chairman Tom Perez is a despicable individual, foul-mouthed, seemingly just for the sake of it, one of those skinny little guys in high school that used it and smoking cigarettes to look grown up, who still hasn’t quite achieved that milestone... He’s been cursing a lot lately, whenever he’s behind a lectern and with an audience of people, in front of him. He’s apparently confident that there are no Sunday school teachers left in the Democrat Party or if there are, he’s sending them a message that they need to get with the times. This is the new, profane Democrat Party, raising their foul mouths and voices as one, including everybody in a diverse hatred of America and our historic decencies. Accept the Dems as they are, just as they claim to accept everyone else. That’s a brilliant strategy, Perez. He shows why he had to resort to a debate in order to be anointed, another instance of liar-Clinton debate tampering, with zero charisma and decision making skills, having opted to drag commie Bernie Sanders around with him on his “unity tour.”...

The brave work of the artist Mimsy, "ISIS Threaten Sylvania",
which satirized the brutality of ISIS
by Giulio Meotti
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Maastricht, in the Netherlands, is the picturesque city that gave its name to the famous treaty signed in 1992 by the twelve nations of the European Community at the time... and which paved the way for the foundation of today's European Union and the single currency, the euro. Maastricht, however, is also the home of "Tefaf", the most important art and antiques fair in the world. The art work "Persepolis" by the Italian artist Luca Pignatelli was already scheduled when the commission ordered it removed. The work, built in 2016, combined a Persian Islamic rug and a female head. "We are all humbled and speechless", Pignatelli declared, pointing out that his work had initially aroused the enthusiasm of the commission. The fair's explanation was that Pignatelli's work was "provocative". The officials of fair presumably did not want to offend Islam and possible Muslim buyers with Pignatelli's combination of the mat (used by Muslims for prayer) with the woman's face. "We are shocked, this is the first time this has happened and I think it is legitimate to talk about it", Pignatelli said...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10208/europe-afghanistan

{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ President Trump was reportedly furious when he learned that the State Department had issued a statement on Tuesday declaring Iran in compliance with the so-called nuclear "deal."... Mr. Trump has repeatedly reviled that accord as the worst ever negotiated because Iran can comply with it and still get the Bomb. Consequently, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was directed to hold a press conference yesterday describing the many ways in which the threat posed by Iran - non-nuclear and nuclear - continues to intensify. He stressed that all aspects of U.S. policy, including the future of the deal, are under review. If that review is influenced by the same liar-nObama administration holdovers who claim Iran is complying with its obligations, however, it will be no more accurate, objective or acceptable than the misleading statement the State Department issued on Tuesday. {city-journal.org} ~
Black students at Pomona College and neighboring schools in Claremont, California, have published an open letter declaring their hostility to free speech—other people’s free speech, that is. The letter shows that the faculty of the Claremont colleges are failing in their most basic educational duties.

The manifesto, written by “We, few of the Black students here at Pomona College and the Claremont Colleges,” was triggered by a statement on academic freedom by outgoing Pomona College President David Oxtoby. Oxtoby’s statement in turn responded to a student blockade that tried to shut down a talk on policing I was supposed to give at Claremont McKenna College on April 6. Leave aside for a moment the signatories’ unblemished ignorance regarding free speech and the role of unfettered discourse in creating their own liberties. Viewed purely formally, the letter is a major embarrassment to the faculty of Pomona and the Claremont colleges.

It is filled with excruciating solecisms “Though this institution as well as many others including this entire country, have been founded upon the oppression and degradation of marginalized bodies, it has a liability to protect the students that it serves” garbled regurgitations of High Theory. “The notion of discourse, when it comes to discussions about experiences and identities, deters the ‘Columbusing’ of established realities and truths coded as ‘intellectual inquiry’ that the institution promotes”; and sheer head-scratchers of incomprehensibility “To conclude our statement, we invite you to respond to this email by Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 4:07 pm since we have more energy to expend on the frivolity of this institution and not Black lives.”  Gnawing question: Why not a 4:08 pm deadline?

Does this student writing demonstrate the value of a Pomona education? Several of the co-signatories are graduating this year or the next. Are their professors satisfied with their command of the English language? What grade would this incoherent tract receive if turned in as a term paper—a D?  Or, more likely, an A?   Faculty undoubtedly fear correcting the writing of “marginalized students,” lest they suffer the same scourging as UCLA Education Professor Val Rust did when he tried to induct some of his Critical Race Theory students into the protocols of academic prose.

The content of the letter, such as it is, should alarm the faculty as well at least those faculty who have not inspired “We, few's’” tortured efforts at Foucauldian post-modernism. The students appear to argue that the ideal of free speech is based on a mystifying and oppressive concept of unitary truth, and that such a concept solidifies white supremacy: “The idea that there is a single truth—‘the Truth’—is a construct of the Euro-West that is deeply rooted in the Enlightenment . . . This construction is a myth and white supremacy, imperialism, colonization, capitalism, and the United States of America are all of its progeny. The idea that the truth is an entity for which we must search, in matters that endanger our abilities to exist in open spaces, is an attempt to silence oppressed peoples.”

“We, few of the Black students here at Pomona, etc.” have it exactly backward.  Free speech is the best tool for challenging hegemonic power.  Absolute rulers seek to crush non-conforming opinion; the censor is the essential bulwark of tyrants.  Without the Enlightenment and its challenge to unquestioned authority, “We, few of the Black students” would not even be at the Claremont colleges, because those secular, independent colleges might not even exist. It would be interesting to know how many Enlightenment philosophers “We, few” can even name; it is of course virtually certain that they have read none. Freedom of the press and of speech was essential in the fight against slavery and Jim Crow; how do “We, few of the Black students here at Pomona, etc.” think that those battles could have been waged without the First Amendment rights that the “We, few” now think they despise?

Moreover, “We, few of the Black students” only pretend to be postmodern relativists. They are fully confident that they possess the truth about me and about their oppressed plight at the Claremont schools. An alternative construction of their reality—one, say, that pointed out that as members of fantastically rich, tolerant, and welcoming American colleges, they are among the most privileged human beings in history—would be immediately rejected as contrary to the truth and not worth debating. “We, few” would also reject the alternative truth that far from devaluing Black students, the administrations of the Claremont colleges have undoubtedly admitted many with levels of academic preparation far below that of their white and Asian peers, simply to fulfill the administrators’ own self-righteous desire for “diversity.”

Typical of all such censors and petty tyrants, “We, few of the Black students” now want to crush dissent. They ask the Claremont University Consortium to take action, both disciplinary and legal, against the editors of the conservative student paper, the Claremont Independent, for the open-ended sins of “continual perpetuation of hate speech, anti-Blackness, and intimidation toward students of marginalized backgrounds.” These are the demands not of relativists but of absolutists determined to solidify their power.

As for “We, few’s” gross misreading of my work, it shows that reading skills are in as short supply at the Claremont colleges as writing skills. My entire argument about the necessity of lawful, proactive policing is based on the value of black lives. I have decried the loss of black life to drive-by shootings and other forms of street violence. I have argued that the fact that blacks die of homicide at six times the rate of whites and Hispanics combined is a civil rights abomination. And I have tried to give voice to the thousands of law-abiding residents of high-crime areas who are desperate for more police protection so that they can enjoy the same freedom from fear that people in more wealthy areas take for granted.

The ungrammatical list of attributes that “We, few of the Black students” say disqualify me from speaking—“Heather Mac Donald is a fascist, a white supremacist, a warhawk, a transphobe, a queerphobe, a classist, and ignorant of interlocking systems of domination that produce the lethal conditions under which oppressed peoples are forced to live”—unsurprisingly displays the ignorance already familiar from the rest of their letter, since I was an early and documented opponent of the Iraq war and all such efforts at regime change. The other epithets are not worth responding to.

 Trump Tackles Visas

Donald Trump signed another executive order Tuesday — this one aimed at overhauling the H-1B visa program used by American tech companies to hire high-skilled foreign workers and bring them into the U.S. Trump has been critical of the program, claiming that it disadvantages American workers. His point is made more real when companies hire foreigners to replace American workers and make those Americans train their replacements. Trump's action may make it more difficult for domestic companies to hire foreign workers.
By Trump's estimation, the visa program has become too permissive, allowing in low-skilled, lower-paid foreign workers who have displaced American workers. As one administration official said, the "abuse" of the visa program that "brings in a worker not because you need their skill or talent, but for the purpose of undercutting the American worker" needs to be addressed. Trump's aim is to ensure that the original intent of the H-1B visa program is honored — namely that it is used only to bring in highly skilled foreign workers for highly specialized positions and needs.
His "Buy American, Hire American" order directs the Departments of State, Justice, Homeland Security and Labor to draft "new rules to prevent immigration fraud and abuse," and to initiate a thorough review of the program in order to provide recommended legislative changes to Congress. It also instructs federal agencies to use American-made goods.
Trump's policies are already changing things, even in some cases if only by perception. The Washington Free Beacon reports, "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced Monday that the number of H-1B visa applications dropped about 16 percent over the past year, marking the first such decline since 2012."
In related news, the Washington Post attempted to call out Trump for targeting "non-criminal" illegal aliens with a story headlined, "ICE immigration arrests of noncriminals double under Trump." However, when the statistics are more closely examined and compared against Barack liar-nObama's record, the story becomes markedly different. It is true that under Trump immigration officials have cracked down on illegal immigration to a greater extent than during liar-nObama's tenure. But the percentage of illegal aliens with criminal records arrested by ICE since Trump took office is 75%; under liar-nObama it was 60%. That means immigration officials under liar-nObama were less discriminating in who they targeted for arrest. Once again, The Washington Post has published an article that is grossly misleading.  ~The Patriot Post

{rickwells.us} ~ There is speculation sparked by a comment made by Senator Chuck Grassley to a local Iowa paper in which he stated his belief that there will be a vacancy on the Supreme Court this summer... Grassley is the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The reporters believe that likely vacancy will occur as the result of the retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy, a Reagan appointee who is often the swing vote on the court. Jonathan Karl note the comment made by Grassley in the Muscatine Journal, in which he stated on April 18th, “I would expect a Supreme Court]resignation this summer. Karl notes that Grassley’s chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee is significant because that is the body where hearings would be held for President Trump’s next nominee. He says, “If there is anybody in Congress who would know about such things, it is Chuck Grassley.” Karl also adds that it is consistent with what he has been hearing “in conservative legal circles for weeks, that Justice Kennedy has been telling friends and colleagues that he intends to retire this year, possibly after the current term of the Supreme Court is up on June 30th.”...

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ We failed to prevent North Korea from developing nuclear weapons. As a result, our options to stop them from developing a delivery system capable of reaching our shores are severely limited... The hard lesson from our failure to stop North Korea before they became a nuclear power is that we MUST stop Iran from ever developing or acquiring a nuclear arsenal. A nuclear Iran would be far more dangerous to American interests than a nuclear North Korea. Iran already has missiles capable of reaching numerous American allies. They are in the process of upgrading them and making them capable of delivering a nuclear payload to our shores. Its fundamentalist religious leaders would be willing to sacrifice millions of Iranians to destroy the "Big Satan" (United States) or the "Little Satan" (Israel). The late "moderate" leader Hashemi Rafsanjani once told an American journalist that if Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons, they "would kill as many as five million Jews," and that if Israel retaliated, they would kill fifteen million Iranians, which would be "a small sacrifice from among the billion Muslims in the world." He concluded that "it is not irrational to contemplate such an eventuality." Recall that the Iranian mullahs were willing to sacrifice thousands of "child-soldiers" in their futile war with Iraq. There is nothing more dangerous than a "suicide regime" armed with nuclear weapons...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10233/north-korea-iran

{jewishworldreview.com} ~There was a moment at Press Secretary Sean Spicer's White House briefing Monday that was significant. Asked by a reporter about North Korea's missile launch last weekend, Spicer said the administration was aware of the launch and that "it failed." End of story. Next question, please.

Sir Malcolm Rifkind, the former Conservative foreign secretary in Britain, might provide an explanation for Spicer's tight-lipped response. Rifkind told the BBC Sunday that "...there is a very strong belief that the U.S. -- through cyber methods -- has been successful on several occasions in interrupting these sorts of tests and making them fail."

At present, there are no direct links to a cyberattack on North Korea from the U.S., but that hasn't stopped media outlets from reporting the possibility of one.

Last month, the U.S. began sending the first elements of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense system to South Korea, though China opposed the move. When it becomes operational will it, along with cyberattacks, be enough to deter North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un from conducting new missile tests capable of hitting the U.S. with a nuclear warhead, which he has repeatedly threatened to do? Kim has said he will conduct missile tests "weekly" in response to U.S. threats.

On a recent visit to South Korea, Vice President Mike Pence vowed that "the era of strategic patience is over," a strategy adopted by the liar-nObama administration to explain its long-term view on global conflict resolution. Pence added, "North Korea would do well not to test President Trump's resolve -- or the strength of the armed forces of the United States in this region."

How much of this is bluster on both sides no one can say for sure. After President Trump's meeting with Chinese president Xi Jinping, there is some optimism that China might be able to exert sufficient pressure on its unpredictable ally to pull back from a direct confrontation with the U.S. Of greatest concern for the Trump administration, in addition to South Korean civilians who would likely suffer massive casualties should there be a North Korean invasion, are the more than 28,000 U.S. troops stationed in South Korea. Kim has threatened to attack them and flood South Korea with his ground forces.

What is our goal with North Korea? Is it regime change? If so, who and what would follow if Kim is ousted? Kim, his father and grandfather have established such an atmosphere of complete control and cult-like obedience with North Koreans who have been cut off from all outside information that it is hard to predict how the people would react. It's a good bet political prisoners in North Korea's prison camps would be overjoyed if the regime fell and they were set free.

Humanrights.gov estimates between "80,000 and 120,000 political prisoners and family members are detained in these camps, where starvation, forced labor, executions, torture, rape, forced abortion and infanticide are commonplace."

Those who wish to hold off on further challenges to North Korea must ask themselves a question. Given the erratic behavior of Kim Jong-Un and his bellicose promises to strike the U.S. with a nuclear missile, is it better to take him seriously and stop him now, or wait until he has the capability to carry out his threat?

Last week, Hawaii's House public safety committee passed a resolution calling for the state's defense agency to repair hundreds of fallout shelters that have not been updated since the 1980s and restock them with medical supplies, food and water.

We haven't yet reached the tension level of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, which put the United States in direct confrontation with the Soviet Union and brought the world to the brink of nuclear war, but the current tension between the U.S. and North Korea could quickly spiral downward.

Will the "peace through strength" doctrine of the Reagan administration, which suggested that military power could help preserve peace, work today? During the Reagan years, Soviet leaders were not unstable, as Kim Jong-Un appears to be, and a nuclear confrontation was avoided. Perhaps a demonstration of what the U.S can do with cyberwarfare, a missile defense system and help from China will be enough.

One can only hope.

 No Spin: Killing Bill O'Reilly
BEcZvTxjfgh-CIcLgZ4CBX-3RPm8jt4tgtJlnzC9yilJqJXd2aBXIcUbRsTfHY0WAsbyEcenhHBgluTqsOTeSmLP5dNatZZgHv8o1WGUXLoMJZqfPfVJhBDar4MsuA=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=
After 21 years at Fox News, Bill O'Reilly, who entered the national media market as an infotainer with CBS's tabloid-gossip nightly, "Inside Edition," is out. According to Fox, "After a thorough and careful review of the [sexual harassment] allegations, the company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel." In other words, after paying more than $13 million to hush sexual harassment suits in recent years, once the complaints became public, advertisers pressured Fox to can O'Reilly.
Though we have criticized O'Reilly in the past, particularly over his libelous "biography" of Ronald Reagan, he was an effective promoter of some conservative ideas, mostly by over-talking his guest victims. That effectiveness is precisely why The New York Times exposed his transgressions.
Regardless of what you think about O'Reilly, the real story here is the calculation by the Times that exposing O'Reilly would result in advertisers boycotting the show — and the network. Thus, Fox News, which is first and foremost devoted to maintaining market share (a.k.a. advertising revenues), had to fold its hand. Fox already has to blast now-ubiquitous "Fox News Alert" banners, ad nauseum, in order to keep its viewers interested through their 24/7 news cycle. As that tactic wears thin, so will ad revenue, and the network could not afford to keep O'Reilly on.
While this episode publicly exposes the power and influence that advertisers have in regard to who is delivering the news, the question every consumer of news from any commercial outlet should ask is this: How often do editors make decisions about what news to cover, and how, based on their concern for how advertisers will respond? The answer: Every day, all day.
At The Patriot Post, we made a commitment from day one to decline advertising. You will note that our website and email publications are free from annoying ads, pop-up screens, or any other sponsored content. When asked on occasion by our supporters why we do not supplement our revenues with advertising, I refer them to our mission and operations statement, which notes plainly: "We are not sustained by any political, special interest or parent organization, and we do not accept advertising to ensure our advocacy is not restrained by commercial influence."
It is for that reason that The Patriot Post is funded entirely by the generous support of fellow Patriots. We're accountable only to you — not the plethora of advertisers who shape the editorial content of commercial print and television outlets.

{shtfplan.com} ~ We can all pretend like there is nothing going on around the Korean Peninsula and hope that cooler heads will prevail, but if history is any guide, when the militaries of multiple nations begin to mass troops at borders... it takes only a single, often seemingly inconsequential, catalyst to plunge the situation into all-out war. That’s exactly what’s happening in North Korea today. Two weeks ago China deployed some 150,000 troops to the North Korean border and put their entire military on high alert in anticipation of a U.S. military strike on Kim Jong Un. Now we learn that Russia is rapidly deploying troop and equipment to their border with North Korea, as well...  http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/tension-builds-vladimir-putin-mobilizes-troops-and-equipment-to-north-korean-border-fears-u-s-is-preparing-to-attack-the-united-states1_04202017

{rickwells.us} ~ Many American patriots have wondered why George Soros is allowed by those in power in our country, the ones who we want to believe he still doesn’t control, to engage in blatant social destruction and subversion... against our nation without suffering any consequences. It’s been particularly obvious since Donald Trump came on the scene, that Soros and his lackey liar-nObama are pursuing their anti-America plot for world domination at the expense of the United States and all nations of the world. President Trump would seem to be the major benefactor of a crackdown on the global puppet master and racketeer, yet nothing happens. He just continues to manipulate our political, judicial and economic systems and those of virtually every nation in the world with impunity. Soros has made plenty of enemies around the globe and one of them has decided to take action. It’s an Israeli company that has suffered at the hands of “the evil one,” filing a lawsuit on Friday which identifies Soros as everything we know him to be, including an extortionist and a “racketeer billionaire” who “puppeteered” governments...  http://rickwells.us/soros-accused-racketeering-extortion-fraud-international-manipulation-new-lawsuit/

Suddenly he’s concerned about American “aid” money going to line the pockets of George Soros and his anti-American causes across the globe... If he’s really worried now, just wait until the UN climate reparations money tap gets turned on, a real possibility now that the neocons have taken root in the White House. That infamous sucking sound will once again return in a deafening manner to the DC swamp, but it won’t be the swamp that’s being drained, just our treasury, the Soros slush fund. The information  was readily available and known to everyday Americans, but Congress is apparently only now catching on, and asking questions, about the siphoning of our money into the coffers of the number one enemy of our Republic. {pamelageller.com} ~ Prospects of Christianity surviving in its birthplace, the Middle East, appear as grim this Holy Week as they have at any time in the last two millennia... Persecution of the world’s largest religion has intensified throughout the 20th century and that trajectory has only intensified in recent years, especially in Muslim-dominated countries. Jihadists appear to have repeatedly carried out one of their oft-stated goals of erasing any trace of Christianity in some regions, while in others persecution against Christians and other religious minorities are being held at bay — for now. The actual prospects facing Christianity in three of its longest-standing strongholds, Syria, Egypt and Iraq, vary significantly. But a blind eye is often turned by the mainstream media and others when it comes to anti-Christian atrocities, which have become an all-too-common way of life for many in the Mideast...  http://pamelageller.com/2017/04/christianity-snuffed-out.html/

New Jersey: Islamic Society with Questionable Background Joins with DOJ to Intimidate Citizens Opposing Mosque

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate )

Islamic Society of Basking Ridge website

Source: Islamic Society with Questionable Background Joins Forces with Justice Department to Intimidate Citizens Opposing Mosque – Thomas More Law Center

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Thomas More Law Center (“TMLC”) has learned that the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge (“ISBR”), which was trying to obtain zoning changes to build a mosque in Bernards Township, NJ, has hidden from public view anti-Christian and anti-Semitic verses on its website, as well as its connection to the Islamic Society of North America (“ISNA”)— an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in America.  ISNA is claimed by the Muslim Brotherhood as one of “our organizations and . . . our friends.”  According to internal documents seized by the FBI, the Muslim Brotherhood’s strategy is to engage in a “grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within . . .”—one of the stages of this civilization jihad is the building of mosques and Islamic centers.

Plaintiffs ISBR and Mohammad Ali Chaudry sued in March 2016, claiming that the denial of zoning changes to permit a mosque violated the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (“RLUIPA”) of 2000 and reflected community “religious and cultural animus against Muslims.”  Within a week of the ISBR lawsuit, the Justice Department launched its own investigation and filed its own lawsuit.

While a visible link to the quotes below was once contained on the ISBR website, ISBR has now taken the extraordinary step of hiding the links from public view.  Accordingly, the quotes cannot be found through a simple internet search or a view of the public portion of ISBR’s website, they can only be found by access to the direct links here:

“Ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them.”

“Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war).”

“And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; … .”

The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, MI entered the case solely to protect the constitutional rights of several Bernards Township citizens who exercised their fundamental right to publicly oppose proposed zoning changes.

These private citizens had no authority to deny the zoning application; nor did they have any official role in the Township.  Nevertheless, they were served with burdensome and harassing subpoenas which demanded: all their email addresses and social media accounts; all personal documents including emails, voicemails, text messages, and social media posts concerning Muslims, Islam, mosques, the Quran, Muslim worship or prayer services, wudu, imams, burkas, hijabs, Sharia, jihad, or anything else associated with or related to Muslims or Islam; any object inscribed with or containing the words “Preserve Liberty Corner,” or anti-mosque signs, flyers, banners, email messages, or pamphlets, distributed or otherwise existing at any time within the Township.  In addition, Department of Justice (“DOJ”) lawyers began a new front of intimidation by directly contacting these private citizens, asking them to come in for interviews concerning the mosque.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, stated: “Under Attorney General Loretta Lynch, the Justice Department, using politically driven DOJ attorneys, weaponized itself against fundamental constitutional principles to intimidate American citizens with whom they disagreed.  Immediately after the San Bernardino terrorist attack and just months before DOJ inserted itself into this case, Ms. Lynch made the infamous statement chilling free speech: ‘…when we see the potential for someone lifting that mantle of anti-Muslim rhetoric…. when we see that we will take action.’  This is exactly what happened to the citizens of Bernards Township. DOJ attorneys initiated a deep state inquisition, seeking to bring citizens objecting to the mosque in for questioning.”

Netherlands: Knife-wielding Muslim screaming “Allahu akbar” refuses to drop weapon, shot by police

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate )

Geenstijl has more information here, in Dutch. Jihad Watch reader Peter, who sent this video to me, explains that the people who shot the video are Turks who are clearly not on the side of the police. According to Geenstijl’s translation, the man taking the video refers to the cops as “sons of whores” and shouts “Europe!,” which has become a curse word among the followers of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Images surface of shooting by police on Hobbemaplein,” translated from “Beelden opgedoken van schieten door politie op Hobbemaplein,” AD.nl, April 20, 2017 (thanks to Peter):

A videoer today revealed images of the arrest on the Hobbemaplein in The Hague, where officers shot a man in the leg.

The police confirmed that the incident took place on April 12. A man brandished a knife and did not listen to the officers who ordered him to drop the weapon. After a warning shot, the officers decided to shoot him.

In the video it can be seen that the man walks toward the officers with an object in his hand. A loud bang is heard from the gun of one of the officers. Then the man falls to the ground, grabs his leg and calls out ‘Allahu akbar’ (‘God is great’). Four officers then approach the man.

The video was made from a house near the square in Schilderswijk.Video https://www.jihadwatch.org/2017/04/netherlands-knife-wielding-muslim-screaming-allahu-a

ISIS Starves Civilians to Force Them Into Fighting for the Caliphate

The Islamic State is withholding food and water from citizens in Mosul in an effort to force them into joining the terrorist organization, according to an Iraqi non-profit.

The beleaguered terrorist organization has suffered personnel and territory losses since the U.S.-backed Iraqi Security Forces began operations to retake Mosul in October. Combat operations in Mosul have led to intense, street-to-street fighting in the city’s western area. ISIS is now forcibly conscripting the thousands of locals who remain by withholding food and water, according to a report by the Iraqi Observatory for Human Rights.

“An infant and its sister [have] died last week in Uruba neighborhood due to lack of food,” the report stated. “Now their mother is facing the same fate as she is in a very bad health condition.”

Some local civilians have given into ISIS to survive.

A single hospital in Mosul has seen hundreds of cases of malnourished and dehydrated people, mostly children, a representative told the Observatory. Freedom of speech and of religion

NOTEWhen writing about God and Jesus, The Daily Jot means YHVH as God and Yeshua Ha Mashiach as Jesus--the actual original names and the true nature and character of them.

Friday, April 21, 2017
The First Amendment to the US Constitution reads : "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Yet our society in America seems to have come to a point where free speech is fine so long as you don't disagree with anything the news media, leftists, leftist politicians or certain political parties say. Then you are labeled a racist, bigot, homophobe, xenophobe, Islamophobe, misogynist, or some such other slur-especially if you respond with facts. Its free speech they say-that is, to insult you.

These folks would limit your free speech. Some of them think that people who voice concern about the flawed science of global warming should be put in jail. Others say that citing the Koran as the reason Islamists kill Christians, Jews and other infidels is hate speech and bigotry. Many believe that those who want people to immigrate to the United States legally are racists. If you believe that the safest place for a baby is the mother's womb, many consider you someone who is trying to take away women's health rights. These people have somehow taken what they consider a moral high ground and have boxed in those who disagree with their nonsense. Apply facts to support your ideals and you invite a personal attack.

If this isn't hate speech, it certainly is hateful speech. But it is free speech according to the shrill voices that accuse others of bullying while they, themselves, are the biggest bullies. When you or I make a statement based on facts, they immediately say we should have no voice, that we are hateful, and apply a label. Who gives them this right? In reality, free speech and free exercise of religion have their foundation in God's word. It is the laws of God that give us freedom. Galatians 5:1 says, " Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." Liberty, freedom, free will, life abundantly springs eternal from God. The labels applied to us by these hateful people are of sin. They have no moral ground. Yet they claim they are crusading for social justice.

Proverbs 28:4,5 says, "They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. Evil men understand not justice: but they that seek the LORD understand all things." These folks couldn't truly define social justice because they do not understand justice or from whom the law came. Freedom of speech and of religion comes with a responsibility to exercise such in reverence to Godly principles of love, truth, honor and justice. Those who do not know the one true God have no foundation to speak. We must do a better job. How? It comes through the free exercise of speech and religion as Ephesians 6:19 exhorts: "that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel."
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

25 Percent of Millennials Who Live at Home Are Unemployed

A quarter of millennials living at home with their parents have no job and no responsibilities. Twenty-five percent of 18-to-34-year-olds in the U.S. living under their parents’ roof are on an extended vacation, but not entirely by choice.

The U.S. Census Bureau released a comprehensive study Wednesday analyzing the economic and demographic changes of young adults from 1970 to 2016. Nearly 1-in-3 millennials live at home with one-in-four living idly, meaning they neither go to school or work. That’s approximately 2.2 million people.

The majority of the 2.2 million have a high school degree or less, over half of them are male, and about 20 percent of them have at least one child. A quarter of the group also has some type of disability.

The report also found another interesting development among young cohorts: Unlike their parents and other previous generations that chose to get married young, millennials are pushing their marriage prospects back rather dramatically . . .

The vast majority of Americans hold to the belief that educational and financially lucrative accomplishments are important milestones of adulthood. Those beliefs stand in stark contrast to their feelings about marriage and parenthood. 6 Reasons to Be Skeptical of RINO Tax ‘Reform’

“We must do ‘something’ on health care so we can get to tax reform. Now!”

This is the latest rage and clamor among the big donors, lobbyists, and consultants within the less intelligent arm of the Democrat Party, otherwise known as the GOP.

The entire argument is built upon a false premise and will not result in sound policy unless conservatives grab the mantle on tax policy away from the party establishment.

There are many emergency public policy issues vexing our economy, society, sovereignty, security, and the core of our ability to operate as a democratic republic: the judicial oligarchy crisis, Afghanistan, debt, the entitlement and dependency state, uncontrolled immigration, Islamic terrorism, the collapse of the civil society, and challenges to religious liberty and core family values, just to name a few. These are all either new problems or issues where the trends have dramatically worsened, have become unsustainable, and will destroy our country. The same cannot be said of the tax code, at least not in terms of trends, unsustainability, and a sense of urgency.

As much as we all hate the tax code, “tax reform” is not one of those emergency “triage” issues needed to solve an unsustainable trajectory within the next few months. If anything, relative to almost any other policy issue, the trend on taxes has gotten relatively better after the Reagan and Bush tax cuts. The political realities of what we are dealing with today will make any play for tax reform an interception rather than a touchdown. Which is why it would be better to stay away from it, at least from a “comprehensive approach,” and tackle more pressing issues, such as immigration, terrorism, and homeland security – or de-regulation of major industries, government reforms, and stripping down the judiciary from its autocratic nature.

Don’t get me wrong: A fair tax or a truly low flat tax that doesn’t punish productivity, redistribute wealth, and socially engineer the economy with asset bubbles induced by tax pork would go a long way towards reviving our economy. There would be no better cause to pursue. Except that is not on the menu. Because of the following factors, it is clear that “tax reform,” which is already ill-defined, will never result in the sort of fair, pro-growth, limited-government outcomes we are looking for and will likely make things worse.

1. Debt is the challenge of our time, not taxes: Taxes used to be the most important domestic policy issue, not only because the tax structure determined how much money stayed in the private sector, but because it was the source of nourishment for the federal leviathan. As such, by cutting taxes, we’d accomplish both the goals of economic growth and limiting the size of government. That era is over. Debt, serviced by monetary manipulation, is the new nourishment of a much greater entitlement state than Reagan ever feared. That is the challenge of our time, much like taxes were the challenge of Reagan’s time. The lesson of the Bush years was that we succeeded on the tax issue but needed to begin work on spending, entitlements, and dependency. Instead, we have gone backwards.

2. Budget scoring severely limits tax reform: Closely related to the first point – because crushing debt and entitlements are the challenge of our time, it makes balanced budgets that much harder. Mandatory spending is projected to cost $34 trillion over the next 10 years, and deficits are estimated to grow by $7.8 trillion. And that is using the CBO’s everlasting optimistic baseline for both revenues and spending. The health care crisis alone will sink this country into insolvency before we reach the end of the 10-year budget window. In addition, there is a consensus to increase military spending. And that doesn’t begin to factor in Ivankacare and the $1 trillion infrastructure porkulous plan. This is a very different era from the Bush years, when there was a projected surplus. To be clear, I’m not one of those who believes we should pass up any opportunity to cut taxes. We have already crossed the Rubicon of Greece-like debt by funding endless dependency without paying for it, so I’m not about to start applying rules of balance to giving people back their own money and growing the economy. But that is the view of conservatives. Republicans in Washington will feel constrained by the need for deficit-neutral “tax reform.” They are already looking for all sorts of corresponding tax increases and new revenue streams to offset any cuts. That will not end well.

3. Not a lot of juice to squeeze out of tax cuts for non-wealthy: The dirty little secret is that half of tax filers don’t pay, on net, federal income taxes. Thanks in large part to the success of the Reagan and Bush tax cuts (plus the Obama tax increases on the wealthy), lower income and lower-middle income earners don’t incur a net positive tax liability. The bottom two brackets have already been eliminated. By definition, any tax cut is going to be enjoyed primarily by the wealthy because they are the ones who pay the taxes.

According to the Tax Foundation, in 2014, the top 1 percent paid 39.5 percent of all federal income taxes, even though they earned just 20 percent of the income pie. The top 5 percent paid 60 percent of the income taxes, even though they earned just 36 percent of the income. The bottom 50 percent, on the other hand, paid just 2.75 percent of the income taxes, even though they earned 11 percent of the income pie. The point is that the income tax is already more progressive than it’s ever been. Yet Republicans have no ability or desire to properly articulate this. Inevitably, they are accused of “cutting taxes for the wealthy.” As such, every time they pick up the “tax reform” ball, they wind up throwing even more refundable tax credits at the bottom and raising taxes, on net, for those at the top.

There is simply not a lot that can be done in terms of a tax cut plan that won’t be perceived as tax cuts for the rich. Not that there is anything wrong with that. This is why it would be wise for Republicans to focus on the hidden tax of regulations, such as the ethanol mandate and many other pernicious interventions, which collectively cost all families $15,000 a year. Until we abolish the 16th Amendment through an Article V convention, I just don’t see any political appetite from this party to truly flatten out the tax code. A true flat tax (even with an exception of the first $30,000) will result in a tax increase on many people. Personally, I’m fine with a low flat tax raising just enough revenue to fund the constitutional aspects of the federal government and with making sure that such a tax would be paid by everyone. But politically speaking, Republicans will never let that happen.

4. Liberals are writing the tax plan: The main players behind the administration’s tax plan are Gary Cohen, Steven Mnuchin, and Wilbur Ross – not a single Republican among them. This will not end well.

5. Buying off Democrats with porkulous: The administration has already hinted that it intends to work to garner Democrat votes rather than push reforms to the existing practice of the filibuster in the Senate. Some prominent supply-siders are already advocating for a trade of tax cuts for more infrastructure spending. As we’ve noted before, transportation spending should be devolved to the states instead of purveying the wasteful federal transportation sinkhole. It’s not worth the trade.

6. Health care must be fixed first: One of the most important reforms that can be made to the tax code is equalizing the treatment of health insurance plans purchased by the individual with employer-provided plans. This will help tackle “the original sin” of health care and get more people to cost-continuously purchase their own plans rather than rely on the over-utilized employer system. The problem is that until and unless Obamacare is repealed, there is no individual market left to which people can take their tax deduction and purchase a cheap plan. Given that Republicans don’t plan to repeal Obamacare – just simply “pass a health care bill” – there is no point in fixing the tax distortion on health insurance.

The path forward

The best way to preempt a bad tax plan is for conservative members of Congress to introduce Trump’s campaign tax plan as a bill and approach the president with it in the hopes of making this plan the default position. His plan is actually really good and politically defensible because it is not flat (which is nearly impossible to achieve), cuts everyone’s taxes, but lowers marginal rates significantly. Recently, the Trump administration has disavowed this plan, but conservatives should not let the president violate another campaign pledge.

However, even such a plan that we agree with will take months to iron out the details and build the proper case for it publicly. If the president doesn’t understand that and wants a quick “victory,” the best course of action is to push for an immediate reduction of the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 25 percent without getting rid of any deductions (which would disrupt business models and take longer to work out). This will inject an immediate pro-growth shot into the economy at a time when it badly needs a recovery.

A modest reduction in corporate taxes is a proposition even many Democrats are on record as supporting. This has been a consensus issue, it will not disrupt the market, and it will not lose much revenue. Corporate taxes don’t bring in that much revenue to begin with. This can all be done in the short run while making the case for Trump’s original plan on individual taxes over the next few months.

When approaching the tax issue, Republicans cannot make the same mistake they did with the health care bill. We can’t assume “tax reform” is a policy punchline we all agree with, the same way “repealing Obamacare” clearly didn’t mean what it denoted. Both the broad principles and philosophy behind the effort as well as the details of the specific proposal matter. In the case of health care, Republicans adopted the Democrat philosophy, and the details of their original bill codified Obamacare instead of repealing it. The same will hold true for taxes unless conservatives take a proactive approach to stave off bad policy. The Insane Punishment a School Gave a Teen Over a Water Gun

What is the appropriate punishment for a high school student found on campus in possession of a water gun?

The Autauga County Board of Education, which covers communities near Montgomery, Alabama, decided that a 16-year-old girl with a water gun was in violation of the board’s firearms policy. So Sara Allena “Laney” Nichols received a one-year expulsion.

According to a report in the Montgomery Advertiser, Laney explained that she acquired the water pistol “as a joke” from a male classmate in a school hallway at Prattville High School.

The school’s security cameras captured footage of Laney holding the toy gun, but not of the male student holding it at any time. He received no punishment.

Laney said she put the water pistol in her backpack and then, the same day, on the back seat of her car in the school parking lot. It went unnoticed by the principal and school officials until a classmate reported to the administration a few days later that Laney had a gun.

Prattville High officials, following proper procedures, questioned Laney. She told them that the purported gun was really a water gun and was in her car, parked on school grounds, at that time. Confirming that Laney, in fact, possessed a harmless piece of plastic, school officials successfully cleared the threat.

Laney’s mother, Tara Herring, says her daughter got a 10-day suspension. Herring conceded that the black water pistol may have looked like a real gun at first glance, but is made of plastic and clearly distinguishable the second someone touches it.

That could have been the end of the story, but the school board decided to hand down a one-year expulsion for Laney’s violation of the Parent/Student Code of Conduct, which classifies possession of a weapon as a “major offense” punishable by expulsion.

The board’s Policy Manual prohibits students from possessing firearms on school grounds, including cars parked in the school lot. “Any student who violates this policy shall be expelled for a period of one year,” it says.

The Policy Manual, however, also provides that the superintendent of schools “may modify the expulsion requirement on a case-by-case basis.” Thus far, Superintendent Spence Agee has declined to comment on the incident, although if he has any common sense, he’ll modify this draconian penalty.

Also at issue is whether Laney’s water pistol even qualifies as a prohibited firearm under school board rules. The Code of Conduct broadly defines a firearm as an object that “is designed to, or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive charge or by compressed air or by spring action.”

A water gun could fall under this broad definition of a firearm only if water qualifies as a projectile and the plastic toy uses compressed air or a spring mechanism to release it. Surely, the board did not envision a harmless water gun when it adopted its firearm prohibition.

The Policy Manual provides an even stricter definition by adopting the definition of a firearm provided by federal law (18 U.S.C. § 921). Under the statute, a “firearm” is “any weapon (including a starter gun) which will or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive.” Notably, not a water gun.

As the New Jersey State Supreme Court once reasoned, the statute is “talking about a real gun capable of discharging a projectile of some sort, not talking about a toy gun, not talking about a water gun, not talking about a plastic gun that can’t fire a projectile” (State v. Gantt (1986).

Laney’s water pistol is not a firearm under the adopted definition of Autauga County schools’ Policy Manual.

Education officials are understandably hypersensitive to threats of guns on campus, but the danger posed by real guns at school should not allow for a gross overreaction that could derail a student’s academic career.

Conflicting standards, overly broad definitions, and vague policies plague the criminal justice system with the possibility of absurd results. The same is happening here.

In this case, Agee should yield to reason, if not compassion, and use his discretion to modify the expulsion or yield to the statutory definition of a firearm to reduce the level of Laney’s offense.

Laney’s family has hired a lawyer and is threatening to sue if the school board does not act to remove the “scarlet letter E” (expulsion) from Laney’s record. It should not take a lawsuit to determine that a water pistol is not a firearm.

A 16-year-old girl deserves more from America’s public education system than a one-year expulsion for possession of a water gun. Harvard: Gender Changes Daily. Disagreement Is Violence

Harvard University is using tuition dollars to tell students that “there are more than two sexes” and that “gender is fluid and changing.” The school is also telling students gender can change daily —sometimes depending on what people choose to wear. If you disagree with those statements, you are promoting “systemic violence.”

The office of BGLTQ Student Life has released a guide promoting delusions instructing students to “fight transphobia” and “get the facts about gender diversity,” Peter Van Voorhis reports for Campus Reform.

The guide, which was distributed to students on campus, declares that “there are more than two sexes” and that “gender is fluid and changing,” adding that someone’s gender identity “can be affirmed and/or expressed in many ways,” and can even “change from day to day.”

Yes, that’s right. As Voorhis reports, “the flyer tells students that ‘for many people—cis and trans—gender expression, identity, and self-understanding can change from day to day,’ noting that gender can be expressed through one’s ‘speech, mannerisms, clothing,’ and more.”

Gender identity can fluctuate daily now?

How are you supposed to write a law that protects against gender or sex discrimination if a person’s “gender identity” can change daily? James Madison might’ve said something important about “mutable” or constantly changing government and “incoherent” laws once.

Pointing out the land of confusion into which the LGBT-rights movement is forcing us to descend could get students into trouble, however.

As the flyer reads, “Transphobic misinformation is a form of systemic violence.” What your kids are being taught, at Harvard University and likely elsewhere, is that traditional understandings of the roles of men and women the distinctions between male and female are “violence.”

If you follow this line of thinking then when, for example, Jesus says in Matthew 19, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?” — that’s violence.

Or, in Harvard’s terms, “Fixed binaries and biological essentialism, manifest in gendered language, misgendering someone, and the policing of trans bodies, threaten the lives of trans people.”

Some students are not happy their tuition dollars are being used to deny biological reality to make other students more comfortable with their mental delusions.

Campus Reform reports that several outraged students were upset school funds were used for this campaign, but declined to comment on for fear of “potential repercussions from the school.” One wonders if Harvard’s administration has paused to consider whether they are providing a safe space for students who think that men are men and women are women.

This is the sad state of affairs at colleges and universities. Traditional values are called violent. Mob violence to silence free speech is called justice. The same places that claim to create safe spaces for the liberal students are too dangerous for alternative points of view.

When will enough be enough? (For more from the author of “Harvard: Gender Changes Daily. Disagreement Is Violence” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/04/harvard-gender-changes-daily-disagreement-violence/

Professor Paints Picture of Trump’s Decapitated Head, Puts It on Display at Alaska College

A professor at an Alaska university has put a painting of President Donald Trump’s decapitated head on display at the college art gallery.

Thomas Chung, assistant professor of painting at the University of Alaska Anchorage, painted a portrait of a “Captain America” actor holding Trump’s severed head with two eagles to his side and a young Hillary Clinton holding onto the actor’s leg, KTUU reported.

“I was reminded of those ’80s rock posters,” said Chung, “where there’s a woman in tattered clothes clinging to a strong male hero’s leg.”

The professor explained that the 2016 presidential election results influenced his painting.

“After Trump was elected, I spent days just weeping,” the professor said. “And it was really surprising, because I’m not a political person. I am a social artist. I deal mostly in ideals of culture and global culture, but this election bled into that.” (For more from the author of “Professor Paints Picture of Trump’s Decapitated Head, Puts It on Display at College” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/04/professor-paints-picture-trumps-decapitated-head-puts-display-alaska

The Democrat Went Down in Georgia

Democrats failed to pull off a win in a special House election in Kansas' 4th District last week, so surely they'd do better in Georgia's 6th District. They poured in more than $8 million on a single candidate to face a divided Republican field of 11 candidates. This was their chance to Send Trump a Message™ Or not.
Instead, it was reminiscent of that great Charlie Daniels song — "The Devil went down to Georgia, He was looking for a soul to steal, He was in a bind, 'cause he was way behind, He was willing to make a deal." That didn't end well for the devil, and it didn't work out for Democrats either.
Democrat Jon Ossoff's 48.1% bested liar-Hillary Clinton's 46.8%, but he failed to reach the requisite 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff. The Leftmedia was so convinced Ossoff had it in the bag they had live, breathless coverage of the results. Today, they're spinning that "Republicans avoided an embarrassing defeat."
Republican Karen Handel, former Georgia secretary of state and county commissioner of Fulton County, will face Ossoff in a runoff on June 20. Handel led the GOP field with just 20%, but should have no trouble in a one-on-one matchup for the seat formerly held by Newt Gingrich, Johnny Isakson and Tom Price.
The humorous irony of the race was that Ossoff, the Democrats' great Millennial hope, doesn't live in the district and couldn't even vote for himself. The truly important factor was that Democrats chose to nationalize the election and turn it into a referendum on Donald Trump. An astounding 95% of Ossoff's money came from outside the district. Even Samuel L. Jackson cut an ad for Ossoff, declaring, "We have to channel the great vengeance and furious anger we have for this administration into votes at the ballot box."
But Trump weighed in too, and House Speaker Paul Ryan's super PAC was instrumental in holding off Ossoff. Voters know that Ossoff would align with an increasingly leftist party driven by coastal elites. And whether they like Trump or not, that's not what most suburban Atlanta voters want.  ~The Patriot Post

Venezuela seizes General Motors plant
as property of the state
by Jazz Shaw
{hotair.com} ~ This news broke overnight and it undoubtedly comes as a shock to anyone who hasn’t been paying to socialism in general and the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in particular... The government of Venezuela came in and seized control of the General Motors plant in the city of Valencia, taking over the property, assets and accounts. The automotive giant responded by saying that they were immediately halting operations. GM’s Venezuelan operation was already pretty much at the point of stagnation. Productivity was approaching zero because their currency had collapsed and they couldn’t order parts to keep the lines running. Also, the domestic market for cars wasn’t exactly booming because their potential customers have money which is basically worthless and they’re mostly too busy looking for scraps of food to worry about a new set of wheels. If nothing else, this incident will provide an enlightening, educational moment for the rest of the world. It’s a given that this is bad news for General Motors, for the workers there… let’s just say it. This is bad news for everyone except Maduro and his cronies. But it also serves to further pull away the mask, allowing the rest of the world to see what’s actually going on. So gather around, kids, because we’re not only seeing how socialism ends and it always ends this way, but also how the socialist machinery operates through the various phases of its life cycle...  http://hotair.com/archives/2017/04/20/venezuela-seizes-general-motors-plant-property-state/?utm_source=hadaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

{aim.org} ~ Since MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow is still preoccupied with the supposed influence of Russia on President Donald Trump and the American political process... we suggest that the publication of a new book called Communism for Kids by MIT Press is worthy of her attention. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the 1917 Russian revolution, this book offers a glimpse into an uprising that was global in scope and which has not only destroyed the moral fiber of Russia, but has also done enormous damage to America. The author of Communism for Kids, Bini Adamczak, writes that “the Russian revolution instilled new hope, particularly in women and people who did not identify themselves within the hetero-normative paradigm.” The “destruction of the family,” she writes, was the goal. “With the revolution, the right to legal abortion, both sexes’ right to divorce, the decriminalization of adultery, and the annulment of the sodomy law which had previously prohibited homosexuality were implemented and enforced,” she explains. “In Moscow, one could find international communes led by gay communists,” she says. “Drag kings could become legitimate members of the Red Army. Participants of the revolutionary debates decided upon the destruction of the family, demanded the legalization of incest, and advertised the practice of polygamy.”...  http://www.aim.org/aim-column/queer-communism-finds-its-voice/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=Daily%20Email%20Apr-20-2017&utm_medium=email

{conservativehq.com} ~ Yesterday, President Trump’s Administration gave its first assessment of Iran’s compliance with liar-nObama’s Iran Nuclear Weapons deal. It was a sober, honest assessment – as far as it went – and no doubt pleased the CFR crowd immensely... Tillerson said at a brief press conference that the Iran deal “fails to achieve the objective of a non-nuclear Iran,” and only delays it becoming a nuclear state. As Fox News noted, he faulted the agreement for “buying off” a foreign power with nuclear ambitions, saying: “We just don’t see that that’s a prudent way to be dealing with Iran.” The statement comes after he said in a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan that the administration has undertaken a full review of the agreement to evaluate whether continued sanctions relief is in the best interest of the U.S...  http://www.conservativehq.com/node/25509

{frontpagemag.com} ~ North Korea has conducted five nuclear weapons tests, including two last year, and is reported to be preparing for another nuclear test in the near future. The rogue regime has also conducted dozens of ballistic missile tests... The liar-nObama administration managed to push fairly tough sanctions resolutions through the United Nations Security Council, but North Korea has ignored them. During the last years of his term, liar-nObama also reportedly ordered cyberattacks against the regime to sabotage its missile launches. The cyberattacks may have slowed down North Korea’s progress, but have far from eliminated the threat. Otherwise, liar-nObama’s policy amounted to what became known as “strategic patience.” That is where things stood when Donald Trump took over as president. Since the Trump administration has taken office, the rhetoric between North Korea and the United States over North Korea's accelerating nuclear weapons and ballistic missile program has ratcheted up to unprecedented levels. Every day brings new threats and counter-threats. Alarms have been sounded that misunderstandings of each other's intentions can lead to dangerous miscalculations, allowing perceived provocations by each side to potentially spin out of control...

Gen. Mattis and the Fatah Tautology
by Caroline Glick
{truthrevolt.org} ~ On Friday, US Secretary of Defense James Mattis will visit Israel as part of a tour of the region that will bring him to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Djibouti. The declared purpose of Mattis’s trip is to “reaffirm key US military alliances, engage with strategic partners in the Middle East and Africa, and discuss cooperative efforts to counter destabilizing activities and defeat extremist terror organizations.”

Ahead of his visit, Mattis should spend some time considering the hunger strike being carried out by the Palestinian terrorists imprisoned by Israel. A serious consideration of the strike will tell him more about the nature of the Palestinian conflict with Israel than a hundred “expert” briefings.

There are several important things for Mattis to consider in relation to the strike.

The first thing he needs to note is that all of the terrorists on strike are members of the Fatah terrorist group.

This fact should signal to General Mattis that Fatah is not a normal political party. In fact, it is a terrorist organization that has a political party.

The second thing Mattis needs to consider about the strike is that it is supported by the international Left.

To understand why, Mattis needs to recognize the Fatah tautology.

But first, a bit of background.

The terrorists’ strike is the brainchild of convicted mass murderer, Fatah leader and darling of the international Left, Marwan Barghouti.

Barghouti is serving five life sentences in prison for murdering five Israelis. Israeli authorities believe Barghouti was directly responsible for 37 murders, but were only able to convict him on five counts.

Barghouti’s role in the killings goes far beyond the terrorist attacks he directly ordered.

From 2000 until his arrest in 2002, Barghouti was the commander and mastermind of the Palestinian terror war that began in September 2000 after Fatah leader Yasser Arafat rejected Palestinian statehood at Camp David.

In other words, hundreds of Israelis are dead today because of Barghouti.

But for the Left, none of this matters. For the Left, Barghouti is a hero.

The Left insists Barghouti is a moderate and a peacemaker and that Israel should release him and let him take over Fatah and the PLO from octogenarian Mahmoud Abbas.

They insist this because of the Fatah tautology.

According to the tautology, Fatah is “moderate” and “pro-peace.” Barghouti is a leader of Fatah. Therefore Barghouti is moderate and pro-peace.

Since Fatah is “moderate” and “pro-peace,” it isn’t a terrorist organization. And since it isn’t a terrorist organization, its terrorists are moderate peace-activists.

So despite the protests of irritating Israeli terrorism victims, and the verdict of the court, Barghouti isn’t a terrorist and none of the terrorists he commanded are terrorists.

None of them are terrorists because they are members of Fatah. And Fatah is a moderate, pro-peace party. So they are moderate peace activists.

Under this tautological reasoning, it makes sense for the US to give nearly a billion dollars a year in aid to the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority. It makes sense for the Pentagon to train Palestinian “security forces” who double as Fatah terrorists. It makes sense for the US to turn a blind eye to the fact that the PA spends more than $300 million, or more than 7% of its donor-financed budget, to pay salaries to terrorists in Israeli prisons and their families.

After all, the Palestinians can’t be incentivizing terrorism.

They’re from Fatah and Fatah is a moderate peace party.

The Fatah tautology is what informed The New York Times’ decision to publish an op-ed by Barghouti in its Sunday edition in support of the prisoners’ strike.

Not surprisingly, Barghouti slandered Israel repeatedly in his essay.

Also not surprisingly, in its tagline the Times described Barghouti as a “Palestinian leader and parliamentarian.”

It would be bad enough if this circular reasoning was relegated to the fever swamps of the Left.

But it isn’t.

Numbered among Fatah’s most fervent supporters are Mattis and his fellow generals at the US Military’s Central Command.

Mattis arrives in Israel with a public record replete with anti-Israel statements that indicate he swallowed the Fatah tautology hook, line and sinker.

In 2013, shortly after retiring from his post as Centcom commander, General Mattis resonated Barghouti and his leftist supporters when he blamed Israel for the absence of peace.

Speaking at the Aspen Institute Mattis said that the US must make the establishment of a state run by Fatah terrorists – on land Israel controls, that it requires for its national security and that it has sovereign rights to – a key US goal.

In his words, “We’ve got to find a way to make the twostate solution that Democrat and Republican administrations have supported. We’ve got to get there, and the chances for its starting are starting to ebb because of the settlements and where they’re at, they’re going to make it impossible to maintain the two-state option.”

Also echoing Barghouti’s libels, Mattis said that if Israel continues to allow Jews to live where they have rights to live and property rights to build then it will become an “apartheid” state.

Mattis is reputedly a very smart, well-read man. And yet, his claims show that despite his intelligence, he has a stunning lack of intellectual curiosity about Israel and the Palestinians and their positions in the wider Middle East.

Lest we give in to the temptation to believe that Mattis’s ignorant, tautological thinking was simply a function of his service in the liar-nObama administration, during his Senate confirmation hearings as President Donald Trump’s nominee to serve as Defense Secretary, Mattis doubled down.

When asked point blank to name Israel’s capital, Mattis refused to acknowledge that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Instead, he stunned lawmakers when he proclaimed that Tel Aviv is the capital of the Jewish state.

Mattis’s hostile view of Israel and the Palestinians isn’t surprising. And the reason it isn’t surprising isn’t because Mattis is a member in good standing of the lunatic Left. He’s not.

Mattis’s ignorance is understandable because he hails from the US Military’s Central Command. The Pentagon’s area command responsible for the Middle East has one debilitating problem. It is a problem that guarantees that Centcom officers will fail to understand the Middle East and fail to win America’s wars in the region.

Centcom’s problem is that it deliberately does not include Israel.

As far as Centcom is concerned, Israel is not part of the Middle East. Israel is in Europe.

Centcom officers speak only to Arabs. And their Arab counterparts insist that Israel is the problem.

Rather than critically analyze this claim, Centcom officers internalize it.

Rather than notice and get irritated by the fact that due to their Arab colleagues’ antisemitism the US is forced to pretend that Israel is located on a completely different continent, Mattis and his underlings adopted their reason-bereft prejudice.

Rather than rebel against their inability to communicate directly with their Israeli counterparts and insist that they be permitted to bring the US’s closest ally in the Middle East into their regional plans and analyses, Centcom officers have embraced the irrational and strategically catastrophic view that the main source of instability in the Middle East are the Israeli communities located beyond the 1949 armistice lines.

Mattis’s visit will take him to Jerusalem, rather than Tel Aviv. No doubt Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will mention that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital and express his enthusiastic support for moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

But as far as Israel’s relations with the US generally and the Pentagon specifically are concerned, moving the US embassy to Jerusalem is of secondary importance.

The most important contribution Israel can make to the US war against “extremist terrorism” and to the Trump administration’s efforts to “reaffirm key military alliances,” is for Netanyahu to insist that the Trump administration stop accepting the bigoted dictates of the Arabs. He must insist that Israel be integrated into Centcom. Only when the American officers responsible for determining US policies in the Middle East recognize that Israel is part of the Middle East will they have the cognitive capacity to understand the realities of the region. And the first reality that will become clear to them is that despite the Fatah tautology, Fatah is a terrorist organization, and an extremist one at that.

For the 100th Time, It Wasn't Racism

By Paul Albaugh: It's been three months since Donald Trump was inaugurated, and many Democrats and Leftmedia political analysts are still looking for reasons for why he actually won. How could America's electorate choose Donald Trump, a man with no political experience, over liar-Hillary Clinton, a woman — a woman! — who'd been around the levers of power her entire adult life?
According to a Washington Post "Monkey Cage" blog, written by Ohio State Professor Thomas Wood, the biggest motivator for Trump voters was, you guessed it, racism. Seriously, this was Wood's conclusion after conducting "research" on the Annual National Election Study (ANES).
Wood's analysis took three popular narratives or motivators to determine people's reasons to vote for Trump and compared them with previous elections. The three motivators were being low income, desiring authoritarianism, and racism. To test these motivators against the ANES data, Wood's used white voters as his sample population and on the issue of racism he used a "symbolic racism scale."
Without belaboring the details, the result of Wood's study supposedly reveals that racial attitudes made a bigger difference in electing Trump than authoritarianism or being low income.
National Review's Ian Tuttle highlights three flaws with Wood's analysis: (1) a symbolic racism scale that is not "airtight," (2) the failure to mention that there was a greater shift in Democrat voters than Republican ones, and (3) an extremely narrow conclusion.
Put another way, this "analysis" from the Washington Post is a steaming pile of garbage.
Consider that in 2008 the American electorate put the first (half) black president in office and then re-elected him again in 2012. For eight years, we had a black president and now all of a sudden because Trump defeated liar-Clinton it was because of racism? Wood's analysis and the eye-catching headline are not only flawed, but downright ridiculous.
What Wood's and many other Leftmedia talking heads have completely dismissed is that Americans overall did not want more of the same policies that we experienced under eight years of Barack liar-nObama. Americans were not happy with liar-nObamaCare or with liar-nObama's immigration policies, and they were very much concerned about the direction of the Supreme Court and an activist judiciary in general.
Further, Americans weren't happy with the U.S. military being weakened for the previous eight years, we were sick of the excessive regulations from the EPA and other bureaucracies, and we had experienced a socialist agenda that ran up the nation's debt. These reasons barely scratch the surface for why Trump won the election.
Americans knew who liar-Hillary Clinton was and that we would be getting more of the same — or worse.
Let's look at Wood's analysis another way. If liar-Hillary Clinton had won, would it have been because of racism?
After all, it was liar-Clinton who used the race card repeatedly during her campaign in order to make sure blacks didn't leave the Democrat plantation. According to Democrats, blacks can only think a certain way without being traitors to their race. That's racist.
liar-Clinton's effort to smear Trump as a racist clearly didn't work. And neither did the policies she wanted to enact or continue. Here are some examples: liar-Hillary's policies would have pushed more blacks into welfare programs and increased the amount of people in urban poverty plantations. liar-Clinton was also a huge advocate of Planned Parenthood, which sells a vastly disproportionate number of abortions to black women and which was founded by the eugenicist Margaret Sanger, who wanted to use Planned Parenthood to eradicate black babies.
Recall that Democrat Lyndon Johnson boasted following the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, "I'll have those n—ers voting Democrat for the next 200 years." Yet we hardly ever hear any leftists condemning his remarks, or the attitude about blacks reflected by Democrats from Johnson to liar-Clinton.
The Washington Post and Professor Woods should be ashamed of themselves for publishing such mendacious drivel. But being the shameless "progressives" they are, they'll pat themselves on the back for their incredible depth of insight while smugly continuing to think they're better than the rest of us.

{rickwells.us} ~ Lou  Dobbs has a few thoughts on a “demoralized Democrat Party in crisis, the left yet again forced to recognize that “Resist Trump” is something of a lousy, loser’s strategy... A headline in Politico today succinctly described what passes for introspection on the part of the left, saying, ‘Democrats being  to wonder: When do we win?’ Dems last week failed to capture the Kansas House seat left vacant by now CIA Director Mike Pompeo.” “The Democrats also face uphill battles,” says Dobbs, “in special elections in Montana and South Carolina, they’re not expected to win either, those states Trump won by double digits. In 2018 Democrats need to net 24 seats to regain the majority in the House, uphill work. Democrats unseated only four of the 15 freshman Republican representatives they targeted in 2016.” Dobbs observes, “Dem obstructionism is proving to be a destructive strategy in the Senate as well. New polling shows seven Democrat Senators up for reelection next year all with approval ratings under fifty percent.”...  http://rickwells.us/dobbs-communism-left-shifting-democrats/

Conspiracy of the Day:
Chaffetz Blackmailed by Russia!
by Sarah Lee
{redstate.com} ~ Despite our very own Neil Stevens’ highly rational and reasonable suggestions about why House Oversight Chair Jason Chaffetz is leaving his post (possibly eyeing another, potentially retiring Utah Senator’s seat for example…)... the liberal left knows it’s much more diabolical: Russia. Of course. National Journal Politics Editor Josh Kraushaar shared their musings on Twitter this morning: The tweet eventually links to a piece at the Palmer Report alleging a source has information that, “the FBI has learned that Russia has ‘kompromat’ blackmail material on Chaffetz and has been using it to keep him in line with regard to Trump’s Russia scandal.” Well that’s huge news. Why isn’t it being reported in every major newspaper and from behind every cable news desk in the country? Because the “source” with this bombshell accusation is none other than “conservative” conspiracy theorist and one-time respected journalist Louise Mensch. Don’t know Mensch? Well she’s most known for being a once-respected journalist who turned into a “conservative” embraced by the left because anything and everything having to do with President Donald Trump’s administration — or really the GOP in particular — is somehow tainted by Russia’s back room scheming and meddling in the last election. Don’t believe me? Here’s her take on Georgia’s special election outcome yesterday:...  http://www.redstate.com/slee/2017/04/19/conspiracy-day-chaffetz-blackmailed-russia/

{jpost.com} ~ Israeli authorities on Wednesday morning intercepted material used to manufacture explosive devices hidden inside spools of medical material at the Erez Crossing, the Shin Bet announced in a statement... According to the statement, the material was located during the security check at the crossing in the luggage of two sisters who are residents of the Gaza Strip. The two women had been approved to enter Israel for the purpose of receiving medical treatment for cancer, which one of the two sisters suffers from. An initial Shin Bet investigation indicated that the explosives were sent by Hamas and that the group was planning to carry out terror attacks in Israel in the near future, the statement read, adding that the material was destroyed by a sapper of the Southern District police force...  http://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/Cancer-patient-stopped-at-Gaza-Israel-crossing-with-explosive-material-488351

Palestinians: Hunger Strike or Smokescreen?

The hunger strike declared by jailed Palestinian terrorist Marwan Barghouti (left) is

by Bassam Tawil
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Palestinians have an old habit of settling internal scores by diverting their grievances and violence towards Israel. This practice is clear to those who have been monitoring developments in the Palestinian arena for the past decades... It is an integral part of the Palestinian strategy to undermine, isolate, delegitimize and destroy Israel. Those less familiar with Palestinian culture and tactics, however, have difficulty understanding the Palestinian mindset. Officials in Washington, London, Paris and other Western capitals rarely meet the ordinary Palestinian, the "man on the street" who represents the authentic voice of the Palestinians. Instead, these officials meet Palestinian politicians and academics from Ramallah -- the "experts" who are actually accomplished con artists. Such Palestinians grasp the Western mindset very well, and use their understanding to twist Western officials any which way they want...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10245/palestinians-hunger-strike

The danger of declaring health care a 'right'
by Rita Dunaway
{wnd.com} ~ As the nation dithers over the Affordable Care Act and its ill-fated replacement proposals, the question of whether people have a “right” to health care begs consideration. We know that Sen. Bernie Sanders believes the answer is “yes,” and that House Speaker Paul Ryan believes the answer is “no.”

To determine who is correct, we first must understand what a “right” is.

Black’s Law Dictionary defines it as “a power, privilege, faculty, or demand, inherent in one person and incident upon another.” So any discussion of rights must begin with the acknowledgment that they correlate with duties on the part of others. They are “inherent in one person and incident upon another.” My right to own property correlates with your duty to avoid trespassing upon it. My right to free speech triggers the government’s duty to refrain from restricting it.

Generally speaking, the more basic or fundamental the right, the less onerous the corresponding duty upon others. Thus we observe that the fundamental rights bestowed upon every human being by the Creator – natural rights – are in the nature of liberties, imposing upon others only the duty of non-interference. My freedom to worship, for instance, requires nothing of others but that they allow me to exercise it.

This is one reason we know that health care is not a natural right. Health care is not a form of liberty, but rather a service that requires the labor of another person. I have no natural right to demand that service from those who can provide it, because they are free people with their own natural rights.

Of course, natural rights are not the only rights we enjoy in a civilized society. Other rights, often referred to as “civil rights,” are vested in us by our Constitution. These include the right to a criminal trial by jury and the right to equal protection of the law. These civil rights impose duties upon the government that we collectively agree to sustain and support in the interest of maintaining a just and humane society. Obviously, our Constitution does not provide anyone with a right to health care.

Now when sufficient portions of society agree, we can create or recognize additional rights by statute, or even by constitutional amendment. (Note that under our Constitution, courts were never empowered to create or recognize new rights, but rather to apply those that are codified). But the creation of new “rights” must never be undertaken lightly, because, again, all rights correspond with duties. We must always consider who will bear those duties – and whether it is just to impose them.

This is the context in which we find the current debate over a “right” to health care. The question is not so much whether there is a right to health care, but rather whether we should create one. Careful consideration of the colossal duty that such a right would impose upon others should give us great pause in designating health care as a “right.”

It is one thing for the government to collect a modest tax from all citizens to fund legitimate government functions. At the state or local level, these may include providing a safety net for those who are genuinely unable to work to provide for their own basic needs. But to classify health care as a “right” is to imply that none of us needs to earn it, that it is something we are all owed.

This is problematic because government doesn’t generate its own money – and doctors are not slaves. So who should bear the duty of funding health care for able-bodied adults? We must recognize that any scheme of redistributing the fruit of some citizens’ labor to others involves an erosion of the fundamental right of productive citizens to enjoy the fruits of their own labor – a far more basic, natural right than the “right” to health care.

And here is one final aspect of this issue to consider. Every day, people receive lots of things without having a right to them. Some of us earn goods and services, but others receive them as gifts. This also means that every day, many Americans give of their own bounty not because they have a legal duty to do so, but because they are generous and kind.

In our desire to see basic human needs met, we must not ignore the proper role of simple charity – and its merits over the legal coercion that corresponds with the problematic conferral of “rights” to complex services like health care.
