13673529855?profile=RESIZE_584xWhile this may sound like the title of an old Dire Straits song, Money For Nothing Bonus (video included), it is not in the top ten of the taxpayer; it’s an outrage.

Here it is. Sponging in fat-cat style thanks to a government-endorsed freeload system built, installed, and promoted by none other than the Biden regime, but of course in the name of protecting rights.

In what critics are calling a grotesque parody of government waste, over 154,000 federal employees, more than 6% of the entire civilian federal workforce, are currently being paid not to work under the Biden administration’s system for protecting government employees.

The system, which is almost impossible to dismantle, has fallen into Trump's lap to fix, but fixing it sets off a cascade of legal problems.

Let that sink in, a six-figure army of bureaucrats collecting taxpayer-funded paychecks while sitting at home sucking down brewskis and chowing down junk food watching ‘The View’ reruns, and all on your dime!

Mooching Gone Mad! This isn’t some minor policy experiment in adding a freeloading option to a benefit plan. It’s a sprawling bureaucratic boondoggle dressed up as employee protection. The Biden regime insisted the program is an employee protection triumph; the reality looks more like sanctioned mooching on a national scale, leaving that mess to President Trump and the MAGA movement to fix. Meanwhile, it is an outage!

The government employee protection system workaround allows federal employees to accept buyouts but continue to receive full salary and benefits through the end of the fiscal year, September 30. Supporters say this gives workers a “dignified” exit. Detractors call it what it clearly is: a publicly funded paid vacation for people no longer doing their jobs.

Either way, unwinding the Biden employee protection system is not a pretty one. In short, the plan was rushed and poorly thought out and is now bleeding taxpayer dollars while hamstringing vital federal services.

Shenanigans on steroids. Here’s where things get really mystifying, or terrifying, depending on one’s perspective. With lawsuits mounting and agencies paralyzed, some legal scholars suggest the employee protection system  now turned over to the deferred resignation model could become a judicially protected mechanism, not just for buyouts, but for future mass downsizing of the federal workforce.

In other words, work hard and struggle to get a government job and then pray that you will qualify for the employee protection program, which then turns into the Deferred Resignation Program! Bingo!

If upheld in court, this workaround could enable sweeping layoffs without triggering union protections or the usual red tape. Whether by design or by accident, the Biden administration may have created a stealth tool for systematic bureaucratic erosion, one court ruling at a time.

In other words, instead of a protocol structure system to lay off government employees with a single decision from a federal judge, the issue could be broken down to a case-by-case basis. If that is what the court decides, then it could lead to upward of over 154,000 new lawsuits waiting in the wings! OMG!

Despite its massive scale, estimates are not yet disclosed on how much money is being spent on salaries, benefits, or ongoing court battles related to the program.

Nevertheless, several senators estimate the broader "Government Efficiency" effort, DOGE, started by Elon Musk, has already saved taxpayers a jaw-dropping $21.7 billion, much of it chalked up to exposing and eradicating mismanagement and waste.

The federal “cost-saving” plan is trying to cut, stop, or reverse paying over 150,000 people to do nothing, and by stopping the mooching madness, it could create chaos across federal agencies, which will trigger expensive legal battles! It's a maddening domino effect built by the Biden regime.

Mooching is now back on the menu but this time being redefined. Let’s call this what it really is: Money for Nothing and Your Benefits for Free. This isn't a glitch in the system; it's the system, as redesigned by a Biden federal employee leadership team that seems to believe fiscal responsibility means spending more now to (maybe) save later, all while turning civil service into a glorified severance party.

In a time when everyday Americans are being told to tighten their belts, it's galling to watch six-figure government workers stroll toward the exit door with full perks and no responsibilities.

Final Word: Downsizing has triggered a Biden secret landmine blowing up federal costs and setting the stage for Money for Nothing and Your Benefits for Free for tens of thousands of protected federal employees.

  • No problem... simply get the Republican Congress to repeal the Program(s)... if that doesn't work, examine the agencies with the highest number of servants and break it up... offering transfers to new locations such as Guam or the Aleutian Islands... or as care takers of closed facilities in places like the Artic Circle and the DEW system.

Time to get tough ... real tough... load these free loaders up with volumes of mundane but detail work they will be unable to complete and when the bureaucrats revolt ... fire them for poor work performance, insubordination or dereliction of duty.  Get creative. Where there is a will, there is a way.

OBTW - Hey Steve! Thx for the Rock! Love it!

Well what I understand is those freeloaders are getting paid BUT Trump is selling their equipment they used to small business and the buildings to LP's so I hope America can have a net gain. Would like to see the final numbers if this ever goes public.

  • Nothing to prevent Congress from RESCINDING what ever "ACT" put this load of crap in place - - TURN OFF THE $$$SPIGOT; not tomorrow, not next month - - DO IT NOW, even if it means calling EVERYONE back for a SPECIAL SESSION!!

    • Don't we wish they'd do things that fast!

    • 👍we have witnessed times, in the past, when Congress actually did "move that fast", because it was something they really, really wanted.  Now would be a great time for them to be so "energized"!!

  • Are we paying for the attorney fees too on top of paying them not to work?

  • President Trump and the Congress of the United States need to get their heads together and place a special tax on all of these mooching Federal Employees that forces them to pay a 90% Federal Tax Rate on all monies garnered while NOT showing up to work to perform their required duties!  There's more than one way to skin this cat!

    • Good point. September 30 the employee protection program, turned into the Deferred Resignation Program will end but then those Govt employee will file for unemployment, welfare and States benefits. It seems like a never ending taught of slop what they are feeding at.

  • The govt is so corrupt there is no fixing it
