We have truly reached a sad state of affairs in our nation when family members refuse to celebrate the Holidays together because someone in the family has a different opinion about a political candidate or political party than someone else in the family, We are a nation deeply divided, Somehow we have forgotten that we are a very diverse nation we have always been able to find common ground that is what has made our nation great, Can we imagine the discussions that happened when the Constitution and Bill of Rights was been written and discussed? Yet these men were able to come together for the good of the nation. Did every one at the constitutional convention get what they wanted NO SAME thing applies now none of us got everything we wanted out of this election, To reject a family or another citizens out of hand simply because they dont agree with us politically means that we have rejected the idea of a free and diverse nation that we can no longer find common ground that the other persons opinion no longer matters. The biggest job facing this new administration is to unite our nation, Its perfectly ok to have different opinopns thats waht makes us a great and free nation but it should never turn in to hatred for one another.
The left does not value the family this is why they live alternative non-reproductive lifestyles and IF there is a baby created they kill it! So, to shun family members is simply 'Par' for the course for them.
