Within the last two weeks several tips came into the Examiner indicating pending dangers to certain groups of citizens. These tips led to a source who, speaking on condition of anonymity, alleges that just after the election a major initiative will be launched against citizens whose values are diametrically opposite to that of Barack Obama and the current Washington elitist leadership in Congress. According to the source, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will greatly intensify its attacks on freedom oriented citizens.

The source indicated that the those within DHS and the rest of the Obama Administration who support a massive crackdown on the liberties of citizens are ready to make a dramatic move once the midterm elections in November are over. These particular government employees, particularly those at the top levels, believe that Christians, Tea Party participants, and those who support the Constitution and oppose Obama and his "progressive" agenda are dangerous and need to be subjected to a purge.

This purge would be in the form of prosecution through the courts. The objective would be to silence their voices and remove them from society by tossing them into prison where they could spend years and a ton of money attempting to get out of jail and defend their reputations. The "progressives" in the administration and Congress believe that the lame duck period just after the November midterm elections is the time to move swiftly to get these things done. Obama doesn't have to face reelection. And if the internal polling being done by both Democrats and Republicans is true, the Democrats will be forced into minority status in the Senate in addition to the House. Thus, in the two months after the election prior to the time when the new Congress is sworn in in January of 2015, a golden opportunity exists for the "progressive" elitist tyrants to make their move. After all, they have nothing to lose.

Although the tip concerning this information came within the last two weeks, the publication of it was on hold until more verification could be received. That verification came today in an article written by colleague David Codrea, who is the National Gun Rights Examiner.

Shortly after the election of Barack Obama, it became all too clear that DHS intended to lay the foundation for a massive purge of Christians and liberty oriented citizens. Internal memos were discovered that referred to these citizens as "potential homegrown terrorists." The objective was to crank up the propaganda machine in an effort to malign, demonize, and ruin the reputations of otherwise good citizens so that eventually it would be easier to persecute and prosecute them without running too far afield of public opinion.

In 2012 the Examiner received at least one document from DHS that listed the various categories of citizens that would be deemed as "potential homegrown terrorists." This document is one of the most important, but as you will see, it has been revised to include an apologetic to counteract the heavy criticism the report received. DHS used this report to compile its policy on "potential homegrown terrorists."

But not once was Islamic extremists mentioned. Those whom DHS mentioned specifically is very telling -- Ron Paul supporters, gun owners and gun rights activists, those who promote the Constitution as the final rule of law, U.S. war veterans returning home from overseas, those who support the right of Israel to exist, evangelical Christians and others who are pro-life and who believe the Bible and take it seriously, Tea Party activists, conservative voters who take to the streets to march or to demonstrate in opposition to high taxes, runaway government spending, Obamacare, and other programs of the "progressives" in the current administration. Michelle Malkin provided this report on the issue at the time.

So controversial were these DHS pronouncements that angry citizens began calling their elected representatives. When it became clear that this mindset at DHS may become a political liability for Democrats seeking election or reelection, the agency backed off its public statements concerning "potential homegrown terrorists." It did not help matters for the elitists that a series of high profile terrorist actions, conducted by Islamic extremists, made the news and only confirmed in the minds of most Americans that DHS had its eye on all of the wrong people. While they were watching us "conservative Christians clinging to our guns and Bibles," the Islamo-fascists were busy at work behind the scenes planning a resurgence. And now, at least half of what our men and women in the military fought for, and gave their lives for, have fallen back into the hands of Islamic extremists who behead their opposition. Not only does this denote a failed Obama foreign policy but it clearly demonstrates that the current administration does not care about the spread of extremist Islam. They had rather go after ordinary citizens who disagree with their warped view of the world.

Against that backdrop, David Codrea reports that DHS issued a report Friday that once again places the spotlight on an odd group of people to be tracking -- ordinary U.S. citizens who once again are being tarred and feathered verbally as "potential homegrown terrorists." This time, however, their specific target is U.S. gun owners, 99 percent of whom never use their firearms to commit crimes.

DHS tipped its hand when it cited as a basis for its report the discredited and dangerous Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which never saw a gun owner it did not hate nor a conservative Christian it did not view as deranged. This organization is a million times worse than anything Joe McCarthy did in the Senate in the 1950s when he warned that Communists had infiltrated the U.S. government. They had. And his charges were confirmed when the old KGB was forced to open its books after the demise of the old Soviet Union, and the new Russian president Boris Yeltsin ordered that those secret records be made public. It turns out that McCarthy was 95 percent correct. But the SPLC can claim no such accuracy. They have maligned and falsely charged a plethora of individuals as "racists" or "anti-government extremists" with absolutely no basis upon which to issue such a charge.

Codrea notes that one of the incidents that SPLC is now using to malign gun owners is the standoff at the Bundy Ranch. Not only did SPLC get many of its facts wrong but it claims that supporters of Bundy prove that they are dangerous homegrown extremists who wish to attack the government. Many gun owners went to the Bundy Ranch to provide protection for Bundy as dozens of government snipers took aim at the Bundy family, ready to blow them all away. Thus, they were there to protect a fellow citizen from government snipers who apparently were ready to initiate another Ruby Ridge or Waco.

Apparently SPLC is oblivious to the possibility that citizens can support the right of a fellow citizen to keep and bear arms and have control over his property without supporting all of that citizen's political views. Bundy's views may be problematic for many gun owners, but that does not prevent us from protecting his right to be on that property and to keep and bear arms.

In spite of its dubious agenda, SPLC was used as an important source for Friday's report issued by DHS. This does not bode well for the next step. If the anonymous source mentioned above is correct, this is all a precursor to massive government action to silence all of the administration's most effective critics.

One would think that the 10 percent or so of Hamas rockets predicted by Iron Dome's radars to hit populated areas that are not intercepted would still cause significant Israeli casualties. But somehow, they don't.

An earlier, unconfirmed report floating around the Internet had a Gaza resident attributing the lack of Hamas accuracy to Israel's God moving the rockets off-course to protect His people.

"We do aim [our rockets], but their God changes their path in mid-air," a Hamas commander was said to have told someone who wondered why Gaza-based militants can't seem to hit their targets.

Whether or not that report is [true], an Iron Dome operator whose battery failed three times to down an incoming missile headed toward Tel Aviv last week, said the overall assessment is [accurate].

In remarks relayed to an Israel news site (Hebrew), the Iron Dome battery commander recalled:

"A missile was fired from Gaza. Iron Dome precisely calculated [its trajectory]. We know where these missiles are going to land down to a radius of 200 meters. This particular missile was going to hit either the Azrieli Towers, the Kirya (Israel's equivalent of the Pentagon) or [a central Tel Aviv railway station]. Hundreds could have died.

"We fired the first [interceptor]. It missed. Second [interceptor]. It missed. This is very rare. I was in shock. At this point we had just four seconds until the missile lands. We had already notified emergency services to converge on the target location and had warned of a mass-casualty incident. (Photo via Israel National News)

"Suddenly, Iron Dome (which calculates wind speeds, among other things) shows a major wind coming from the east, a strong wind that...sends the missile into the sea. We were all stunned. I stood up and shouted, 'There is a God!'

"I witnessed this miracle with my own eyes. It was not told or reported to me. I saw the hand of God send that missile into the sea."

Also last week, Col. Ofer Winter, commander of the Givati Infantry Brigade, described a mysterious fog that favorably covered [him] and his troops as they advanced on an enemy position in morning light, after their nighttime raid was postponed.

Col. Winter labeled the covering as "clouds of glory."

Earlier in the Gaza war, Col. Winter sparked heated national debate when he encouraged his troops to lead the charge against an enemy that "curses, defames and abuses the God of Israel." Col. Winter concluded his letter by praying that the "Lord your God go with you, to fight for you against your enemies and to save you."

WASHINGTON (AP) — At least eight Democratic members of the House were among about 200 people arrested Tuesday after they blocked a main street near the Capitol during a massive rally seeking to push Republicans to hold a vote on a stalled immigration reform bill.

Police would not identify those arrested. Representatives of the social policy organization Center for Community Change and The Associated Press witnessed the arrests of Reps. John Lewis, D-Ga.; Luis Gutiérrez, D-Ill.; Raúl Grijalva, D-Ariz.; Keith Ellison, D-Minn.; John Crowley and Charles Rangel, both D-N.Y.; Al Green, D-Texas; and Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill.,

Representatives of other groups whose members attended the rally, such as United Farm Workers and Farmworker Justice, confirmed that several of their members were arrested as well.

Those arrested will be charged with "crowding, obstructing and incommoding" under the local laws of the District of Columbia, the Capitol Police said. The arrests began about 4 p.m. EDT and had ended two hours later, police said in a statement.

Before being arrested, Gutiérrez said he planned the act of civil disobedience "so the speaker of the House can free Congress and finally pass immigration reform."

The rally took place after the six-time Grammy winners Los Tigres del Norte performed at the National Mall during a show in which the Mexican band dedicated each song to the estimated 11 million immigrants living in the United States illegally.

Prospects for passage of a comprehensive immigration bill appear dim. A bill passed by the Democratic-controlled Senate and backed by the White House includes billions of dollars for border security as well as a 13-year path to citizenship for those already in the U.S. illegally.

It's unclear whether the GOP-dominated House will ever pass legislation that could form the basis for a final deal with the Senate. Most House Republicans have rejected this comprehensive approach, and the House Judiciary Committee has moved forward with individual, single-issue immigration bills that could come to the floor sometime later this year or next.

Citing the demonstration, the White House issued a statement calling for the House to take up the immigration bill.

"The enthusiastic demonstration of support for immigration reform this week has proven to Congress that the broad coalition behind commonsense solutions to our nation's broken immigration laws is as strong as it has ever been," according to the statement from press secretary Jay Carney. "It's time for the House of Representatives to reopen the government, pay their bills and get back to the important work of moving the economy forward."

Obama's impeachment, how many people really want this?

Obama Impeachment: How Many Americans Really Want This?

April showers bring May flowers, but not for the Obama administration. Republicans across the country are calling for the president's head after his administration was rocked by several high-profile scandals. But how many Americans really want to see their commander-in-chief removed for “high crimes and misdemeanors?” The answer may surprise you.

What History Tells Us About Impeachment

A U.S. President has never been impeached and removed from office (Nixon likely would have been, but he stepped down before official proceedings could begin). Millennials will of course remember the trial of William J. Clinton, but that farce was brought to an end by a Senate acquittal. Nonetheless, the two events serve as bookmarks in public opinion – how supportive were the American people of impeachment? In Nixon’s case, very. One NBC/Associated Press poll conducted in August 1978 found 72% of respondents believed Nixon had committed an impeachable offense during the Watergate affair. During the height of the Lewinsky scandal, though, only one-third of America supported impeachment proceedings against Clinton (though this fraction increased as it became clear he would not be removed from office, thus the impeachment served as a reprimand, not an ejection).

Democrats also mulled impeaching George W. Bush. Again, public support was lacking. Only 36% believed the warrantless-wiretapping scandal of his second term warranted removal from office; in August 2007, 43% favored impeachment strongly or somewhat, but the majority (52%) still opposed any trials. If the public didn’t support impeaching Bush at the height of his unpopularity, can many favor removing Obama from office?

Republicans believe the answer is “yes.” Though they’ve been clamoring for impeachment since the Benghazi affair, reports that the Justice Department may have illegally seized phone records of journalists, and the ongoing investigation into the IRS’s alleged targeting of conservative groups have given the GOP more scandals than they know what to do with.

The Obama Administration's No-Good-Very-Bad Month

To be fair, the Republicans have claimed everything from Obama’s executive orders on gun violence to the Affordable Care Act justify removal from office. Americans are split on whether the current hysteria is legitimate — on Benghazi, 44% say the GOP’s concerns are fair, while 45% view the hearings as “political posturing.” As the Washington Post points out, those numbers are highly correlated to party identification. A further 55%, including Democrats and independents, believe the Obama administration is covering up pertinent facts. The Justice Department scandal has had less effect, with 52% believing the record seizures were justified. IRS-gate cuts across party lines, with majorities among Democrats, Republicans, and independents strongly disapproving of the activities in Cincinnati.

Interestingly, these numbers have not had an adverse effect on Obama’s public support. The same Washington Post/ABC News poll finds the president’s rating holding steady at 51% positive.

That’s important. It means that despite weeks of conservative hand-wringing and threats, the American public’s opinions on these scandals aren’t translating into disapproval of the president. Which means Republicans may have a hard time gathering the support they need to oust Obama.

Public Opinion to Republicans: "Not So Fast."

Current polling on whether Americans support impeachment is unreliable, at best. As Huffington Post pollster Emily Swanson points out, polling on this topic is difficult, since results are highly susceptible to variation depending on contact method and word choice. For example, a survey experiment conducted among a representative sample found that support for impeachment varied by nine points, depending on how the question was phrased. Further, opposition ranged from half to two-thirds of respondents, including almost 40% of Republicans. These numbers are fascinating: Even though a plurality of Republicans believes Obama was not born in the U.S. and virtually all of them rate him unfavorably, only 51% to 66% of the rank-and-file conservatives support impeachment proceedings.

These results indicate two important realities. First, Americans recognize that impeachment is an incredibly drastic action to take against a sitting president. Second, the GOP may be betting on the wrong horse.

When Speaker Gingrich and the House Republicans went after Bill Clinton, they didn’t just fail at impeachment. They lost five seats to the Democrats in the 1998 midterms, Gingrich resigned in embarrassment, and they damaged their brand, with almost 60% of the country disapproving of their party. They seem poised to repeat these mistakes, with members of Congress chomping at the bit to begin proceedings.

Given the fervent desire of the House delegation to remove Obama, perhaps the question isn’t “If?” but “When?” But Democrats need not panic quite yet, as the GOP does not control the Senate (and in my opinion, they don’t have the numbers to pull out a win in 2014). That renders any impeachment proceedings effectively neutered. But Philadelphia Post’s Joel Mathis makes a cogent point about the end results of such a maneuver: “if Republicans decide to impeach a Democratic president again … well, Democrats are probably going to take it personally. They’ll make an entirely rational political decision that there’s no reason not to obstruct, harass, and yes, impeach every Republican every chance they get … Why show restraint if Republicans won’t?” Indeed, one wonders if we would ever see the end of congressional gridlock if every incoming president has to defend against impeachment trials.

Whether the GOP decides to go down that road has yet to be seen (particularly with several high-profile members refusing to support such actions). But polling and history reveal a clear picture: Republicans beware.

As you can see from the information above, impeachment of Obama is strictly a numbers game for Congress. They are waiting for US citizens opinions to raise higher in these impeachment polls and voting base to take the Senate in 2014. Without the high public opinion for impeachment they will not act, however, we also need to work on getting the conservative voting base, Christian voting base and Black voting base out to the polls in 2014 in favor of our candidates, so conservatives can maintain the House and take control of the Senate, before we will see an impeachment of Barack Obama and his administration. From August 2013, we will have 15 months to raise public opinion and build the voting base needed to win the 2014 election. The only option we have for impeachment sooner, is if more Whistleblowers come forward with incriminating evidence. This is not looking good with the way Obama administration is going after the Whistleblowers. There maybe one chance, if Congress does promise Lois Lerner from the IRS, they will take no criminal action against her for her testimony. This, of course, is not what most of us want to see happen, she deserves to be prosecuted, but if her testimony has enough evidence to impeach Obama, she gets my "yes" vote. I believe, if she does testify against Obama, others will follow, if they receive the same deal from Congress. I feel sure her testimony will not only take out Obama, but will also take out some Democrat Senators, which would be a true plus for America.

We also need to vote out some Republican Senators while we working on this. We know who they are and that they work against us on almost every issue put before the Senate. I am at a loss to understand how they can work against their own base, only reason I can see that would benefit them to turn traitor to their party, is money. There must be personal monetary gain, as well as, monetary gain for their state to cause them to become such low life's, therefore they must go in 2014 also.

The Schumer/Hoeven/Corker amendment is nearly 1,200 pages long, was just filed Friday afternoon, and will be voted on this Monday. We saw with Obamacare what happens when Congress rushes to pass such unwieldy legislation.

The Schumer/Hoeven/Corker “border security” amendment to the deal doesn’t require that the border actually be secured, nor does it require any security enhancements before legalization occurs.

This legislation makes the same mistake of the 1986 amnesty — legalization today for the false promise of border security tomorrow. It will encourage more illegal immigration and must be stopped.

Whereas, our nation’s immigration system is broken and must be fixed.

Whereas, any immigration reform must lead with real border security first. Whereas, the Gang of Eight’s bill does not secure the border and gives amnesty to those here illegally.

Whereas, legal immigration should be supported and encouraged.

Resolved, I request the Senate reject the Gang of Eight’s bill and instead pass legislation that actually secures our border.

As Americans’ rights are now being trampled on a daily basis by the Muslim/communist plant in the White House and those who support him, I am seeing a significant number of pro-American value groups not only forming on social media, but merging as well. Our founding documents have guaranteed We The People a right to question our government; but, as of late, our government isn’t listening.

This merging of different groups all share the same values: the Constitution, smaller government, a solid American values system, and a strong military. All of these things are being removed from us at an alarming rate. Our government is more concerned with fighting someone else’s civil war in Syria and allowing illegal immigrants into OUR country than they are about the average jobless, homeless American people who have lived here all of their lives and have contributed to the system that is being so freely offered to those who come in illegally and do not belong here.

The American people have had enough of this travesty and are willing and ready to take action against it. It is now common knowledge that our own government is arming itself against us. We are under constant watchful eyes through the NSA, and our petitioning is falling on deaf ears. We are once again being forced to stand up for the protection of our Freedom and Liberty. It is once again time to water the tree. The only difference is that this time, the enemy is within. I am certain that with God’s help, the proper people will rise up to lead the second American Revolution. Until this happens, my fellow Patriots, stay safe and always be aware of your surroundings.

White House says it's nearly completed executive actions on gun control

Vice President Joe Biden will announce Tuesday that the Obama administration has "completed or made significant progress" on 21 of 23 executive actions to try to reduce gun violence developed after the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.

They include ending the freeze on gun violence research, addressing barriers that keep states from submitting records to the national background check system and making sure federal law enforcement agencies trace guns recovered in investigations.

Biden will give his first extensive remarks on gun control since the Democratic-controlled Senate rejected a slew of gun control proposals – expanding background checks, renewing an assault weapons ban and limiting the size of ammunition clips – in April. He will use his 1 p.m. event at the White House comlex to again urge Congress to act.

"The administration has work to do…but Congress must also do its job," a senior administration said in a preview of Biden's remarks.

The official declined to say who Obama or Biden has met with on Capitol Hill to try to change votes, but said that Republican and Democratic senators who voted against the popular bill to expand background checks have faced an intense backlash.

"The politics of the issue are starting to change," the offical said.

Following the school shooting in December left 20 children dead, Obama pressed Congress to pass the nation’s most aggressive gun control plan in generations. He also proposed 23 executive actions that required no congressional approval.

Also on Tuesday, the left-leaning Center for American Progress will call on Congress to remove language from the annual appropriations bill that prevents the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from requiring dealers to conduct a once-a-year audit on their inventories for missing guns. Obama removed the language from his proposed fiscal year 2014 budget proposal to Congress.

Below is a list of executive actions:

--Require agencies to send all relevant records to the background check system.

--Require the Department of Health and Human Services to assess and address unnecessary legal barriers that prevent states from making appropriate data available to the background check system.

--Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.

--Review categories of dangerous people prohibited from having guns.

--Give law enforcement the ability to run a background check on someone before returning a seized gun.

--Provide effective training on responding to active shooter situations to law enforcement officers, first responders and school officials.

--Publish data on lost and stolen guns.

--Maximize enforcement of gun crime.

--Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.

--Encourage the development of innovative gun safety technology.

--Review and enhance safety standards for gun locks and gun safes.

--Conduct research on the causes and prevention of gun violence.

--Clarify that no law prevents health care providers from warning law enforcement authorities about threats of violence.

--Protect the rights of health care providers to talk to their patients about gun safety.

This is a four-star General who would have the American press believe that "probable cause" is not found in the Fourth Amendment. Unbelievable? You bet! That is the caliber of genius who ran the NSA, which we're supposed to "trust". Done laughing yet? But this email is to be "good news", so after we realize how dire our situation under leaders like General Hayden, let's look at the good stuff.

Oath Keepers Founder, Stewart Rhodes, shines nicely in this movie.Stewart's footage was filmed on a very snowy day in the Swan Mountain range in northwest Montana, at a charming high-country retreat, and Stewart was relaxed and comfortable. His dialogue comes across the screen in as good a showing as I've seen. Our members will love his hard-hittlng matter-of-fact delivery of our principles and their relationship with the Second Amendment.

But also there to be interviewed on that wintry day was Oath Keepers' national chaplain, Pastor Chuck Baldwin. Chuck's scenes in the film are excellent. Both Stewart and Chuck lend a solid dignity to the movie.

All of this is good news because the movie has the right message for America, and Oath Keepers is helping produce it. We're doing that by spreading the word for fund-raising to complete the film. For that commitment James has awarded us the "In Association With" opening film credit, which is an awesome gift for our future outreach.

I firmly believe that millions of Americans will be talking about this film as soon as it's finished, packaged, and made ready for distribution. Can you imagine sitting in a room with Stewart Rhodes, Chuck Baldwin, Ron Paul, and Larry Pratt, all discussing the necessity for a return to the Constitutional Militia of the several States? Eight days after the massacre of 20 first-graders at Sandy Hook Elementary, where each child was shot with a Bushmaster .223, The Nation’s Gun Show, the biggest east of the Mississippi, opened.

“A line already snaked around the building shortly after the three-day event began at 3 p.m., and the parking lot was jammed” at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Va., wrote Justin Jouvenal of The Washington Post:

“With an AK-47 slung over one shoulder, Marco Hernandez offered one word when asked why he was in the overflow crowd at the gun show.”

“Obama,” he said. “I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the possible gun ban.”

And this is the story across America since Sandy Hook.

The AR-15 black rifle, a version of which was used to slaughter the innocents in Newtown. At Chantilly, their price doubled in hours to $1,800. Gun stores have sold out their inventory.

Yet for weeks after Sandy Hook, journalists and politicians from the president to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who were making the case for a new assault weapons ban, dominated the airwaves. Those calling for reinstatement of the ban that was in effect from 1994 to 2004 had the national audience almost entirely to themselves.

The National Rifle Association was largely silent. Not until nine days after Newtown did the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre appear on “Meet the Press” to be subjected to hostile interrogation.

Yet, from the record gun sales in December, and 2012 — there were 16.8 million calls to the FBI for background checks for gun purchases last year — the elites have lost the argument with the audience that counts. They have failed to convince those who buy guns.

Just as East Berliners, before the Wall was built, voted with their feet, fleeing west, Americans are voting with their checkbooks, paying hundreds and thousands of dollars to buy the guns liberals loathe.

The reflexive response of the gun controllers is to blame this on that malevolent force, the gun lobby, at whose apex is the NRA.

But those crowds coming to gun shows in droves and buying semi-automatics are not there because the NRA issued some order.

Today, we Americans are a far more heavily armed people than half a century ago. Forty-seven percent of adult males own a firearm. There are 270 million rifles, shotguns and pistols in private hands.

Are they for hunting? Not according to the Financial Times.

“The number of hunters fell from 16.6 million in 1975 to 12.5 million in 2006, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.” That number will continue to shrink as America’s suburbs further encroach on rural areas, limiting hunting grounds and reducing game.

The FT notes that Freedom Group, owner of Bushmaster, has estimated that while “total sales of long guns to U.S. consumers rose at an annual rate of just 3 percent during 2007-2011, modern sporting rifles grew at an annual rate of 27 percent.” Last year, sporting rifle sales doubled.

The number of rifles like the AR-15 in private hands has probably tripled since the assault weapons ban expired. The NRA’s David Keene estimates the number now at above 3 million.

Who owns these weapons?

Half are owned by veterans and cops. Writes Keene: “Nearly 90 percent of those who own an AR-15 use it for recreational target shooting; 51 percent of AR owners are members of shooting clubs and visit the range regularly; the typical AR owner is not a crazed teenage psychopath, but a 35-plus-year-old, married and has some college education.”

These figures suggest that a successful effort to restrict the sale and transfer of “assault rifles” will, as did the Volstead Act and Prohibition, drive the market underground, create lawbreakers out of folks who are law-abiding and send the AR-15 price further skyward.

Many gun controllers not only do not understand what motivates those who disagree with them, they do not like them, reflexively calling them gun nuts, a reaction as foolish as it is arrogant and bigoted.

For given the loosening of gun laws at the state level in recent years, the gun controllers no longer have the numbers to impose their will on the folks who have a love for, or feel a need for, guns.

To most Americans, an armed guard in a school is a good idea in our too-violent nation. Most Americans realize that when shooting breaks out in a gun-free zone — a school, movie theater, mall — the first call goes to 911 to get cops with Glocks and a SWAT team with black rifles there as soon as possible.

Most folks understand why air marshals on planes might have to be armed. Most folks know that the people running up the death toll in murder capitals like Chicago are not using AR-15s. And many Americans yet accept that in the last analysis it is a man’s duty to be the defender and protector of his wife and children.

Human nature will ultimately triumph over ideology.

Rep. ancy Pelosi (D-CA) described her belief in abortion as “sacred ground.” She needs a lesson in abortion realism.

In 2004, after the murder of Laci Peterson and her unborn baby, Congress passed the Unborn Victims of Violence Act. This was a step toward giving legal protection to the unborn. The irony of this law should be self-evident, however. It did nothing to stop abortion, which is truly the most horrific form of violence against the unborn imaginable.

There is now another bill making its way through the House that takes another step toward stopping the violence against the unborn. The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 1797) would prohibit all abortions after 20 weeks after fertilization, except if the life of the mother is in imminent danger.

Dr. Anthony Levantino, a former abortionist who early in his career performed 1,200 abortions, testified last month to the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice in regard to the bill. He described in detail how abortions are performed in the second trimester, once the baby is too large to pass through the suction catheter that is used during the first trimester. At this stage the doctor must perform a procedure referred to as Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) using what’s called a Sopher clamp to remove the baby from the mother’s womb — piece by piece.

The Sopher clamp is used, said Dr. Levantino, “for grasping and crushing tissue. When it gets hold of something, it does not let go.”

“The toughest part of a D&E abortion,” said Dr. Levantino, “is extracting the baby’s head. The head of a baby that age is about the size of a plum and is now free floating inside the uterine cavity. You can be pretty sure you have hold of it if the Sopher clamp is spread about as far as your fingers will allow. You will know you have it right when you crush down on the clamp and see a pure white gelatinous material issue from the cervix. That was the baby’s brains. You can then extract the skull pieces. If you have a really bad day like I often did, a little face may come out and stare back at you.”

Dr. Maureen Condic, a neurobiologist, also testified before the committee. She stated that in the neurological development of the baby the spinal reflex, which is responsible for the most primitive response to pain, is developed by 8 weeks of gestation. “This is the earliest point at which the fetus experiences pain in any capacity,” she said. At that stage “a fetus responds just as humans at later stages of development respond; by withdrawing from the painful stimulus.” She explained, “To experience pain, a noxious stimulus must be detected.

The neural structures necessary to detect noxious stimuli are in place by 8-10 weeks of human development. There is universal agreement that pain is detected by the fetus in the first trimester. The debate concerns how pain is experienced; i.e., whether a fetus has the same pain experience a newborn or an adult would have.” (LifeNews.com, 5/23/2013).

“Imposing pain on any pain-capable living creature is cruelty," concluded Dr. Condic. “And ignoring the pain experienced by another human individual for any reason is barbaric. We don’t need to know if a human fetus is self-reflective or even self-aware to afford it the same consideration we currently afford other pain-capable species. We simply have to decide whether we will choose to ignore the pain of the fetus or not.”

The House Judiciary Subcommittee has now approved the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 1797) and forwarded it to the full House Judiciary Committee. Rep. Trent Franks of Arizona, originator of the bill, says, “[L]et us not forget that had Kermit Gosnell dismembered these babies before they had traveled down the birth canal only moments earlier, he would have, in many places nationwide, been performing an entirely legal procedure. If America truly understands that horrifying reality, hearts and laws will change.” (LifeNews.com, 6/4/2013)

Rep. Franks is correct. Acknowledging the “horrifying reality” of abortion is the first step to changing hearts and laws. Testimonies like those of Drs. Levantino and Condic help to show the reality that abortion is truly the most horrific form of violence against the unborn imaginable.

It seems that in the wake of the IRS and NSA scandals that the Benghazi scandal has almost been forgotten. However the recent admission of Martin Dempsey, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, is certain to bring it all back into the limelight.

In the weeks following the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the US Consulate grounds in Benghazi, The White House and State Department both said that there were no troops or Special Forces that could have reached the consulate in time to help them, even though there were reports that said otherwise.

Now we learn that both the White House (Obama) and the State Department (Clinton) were again lying to the American people. According to a statement from Dempsey, a highly trained team of Special Forces, C-110, were within a few hours of Benghazi. The consulate reported that they were under attack early on and the attack lasted over 8 hours. If Dempsey is telling the truth, the Special Forces unit could have been there and possibly save the lives of the four Americans.

Dempsey tried to protect the White House and State Department by first saying that the Special Forces unit was more than 6 hours away and that was only if they were setting on the tarmac at the time. He did acknowledge that the unit was training in Croatia. A large commercial jet liner can make the trip in about two and half hours, and sources close to the unit said they could have loaded up and flown to Benghazi in about four to four and half hours.

He also testified that the Special Forces unit had been told to begin preparations to leave Croatia to return to the base in Germany. If that were true, then they would have already been preparing their gear for transport which would have cut their arrival time to Benghazi down.

Dempsey’s testimony before the Senate did verify a report that was aired on Fox News back in April that said there was a Special Forces unit close enough to have responded to the call for help from the consulate. The Fox News report quoted a whistleblower source as saying:

“We had the ability to load out, get on birds and fly there, at a minimum stage. “C-110 had the ability to be there, in my opinion, in a matter of about four hours … four to six hours.”
“They would have been there before the second attack. They would have been there at a minimum to provide a quick reaction force that could facilitate their exfil [sic] out of the problem situation. Nobody knew how it was going to develop. And you hear a whole bunch of people and a whole bunch of advisers say hey, we wouldn’t have sent them there because, you know, the security was unknown situation.”

To add more controversy to what was reported and what really happened, Dempsey told the Senate hearing that on the night of the Benghazi attack, the command of the Special Forces unit was unexpectedly transferred from the European Command to the Africa Command. Former Libyan Deputy Ambassador to Libya Gregory Hicks testified earlier that when he got word of the attack, he tried to contact the Africa Command but received no support. He said:

“At about 10:45 or 11 we confer, and I asked the defense attache who had been talking about AFRICOM and with the joint staff, ‘Is anything coming? Will they be sending us any help? Is there something out there?’ And he answered that, the nearest help was in Aviano, the nearest – where there were fighter planes. He said that it would take two to three hours for them to get onsite, but that there also were no tankers available for them to refuel. And I said, ‘Thank you very much,’ and we went on with our work.”

So even in his attempt to support the White House and Statement Department, Dempsey only helped verify the earlier reports that help could have been sent to Benghazi, but it wasn’t. The help could have possibly arrived in time to make a difference, but no attempt or effort was made to save the Americans at the consulate. Our government deserted our ambassador and his staff and just left them there to fend for themselves against nearly 200 hostiles.

Perhaps this needs to be pointed out to anyone interested in pursuing a diplomatic career with the State Department. Once deployed on foreign shores, you’re on your own, especially if you are in a known hostile region and the President and Secretary of State will lie to your families as your body is returned to them. Doesn’t that make you want to sign up?

If Federal Judiciary Does Not Hear the People’s Grievances Nation Is Back to 1776

(Washington, D.C., June 17, 2013). Larry Klayman, a former Justice Department prosecutor and founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, today issued the following statement in the wake of having filed last week two class action lawsuits seeking redress for the widespread violation of constitutional rights to privacy, freedom of association, to be secure from unreasonable searches and seizures and due process in the newest Obama scandal known as “NSA-gate.” See www.freedomwatchusa.org.

“Now that the proverbial ‘cat is fully out of the bag’ concerning the NSA’s and its enablers’ massive violation of the constitutional rights of American citizens, the ‘establishment rats’ in Washington, D.C., predictably were sent scurrying to try to cover up their ‘NSA rat hole,’ by vilifying and then calling for the criminal prosecution of whistleblower Edward Snowden. Many of these rabid rats are of Democrat and Republican persuasions; they are the government officials, congressmen and senators who all collaborated to put the NSA’s illegal ‘Big Brother’ data mining of cell and internet providers communications networks secretly into effect. They also consist of the pro-Obama prime time talk show hosts of MSNBC, and Jeffrey Toobin, the legal analyst who also ran interference for the criminally minded Clintons during the late 1990s. These media apologists have miraculously developed a new found concern for national security – having conveniently ‘overlooked’ President Obama and Vice President Biden’s wholesale and highly damaging leaks of classified national security information to boost their 2012 election prospects.

Now claiming that this massive violation of privacy and other constitutional rights is justified to combat terrorism, these Washington establishment rats are in full spin mode. On many of the Sunday talk shows, they were present in full force, trying to divert attention away from NSA-gate, lest it implicate them in the patently illegal criminal conduct.

But the American people are not fooled, no more than our Founding Fathers Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were fooled by King George III’s wholesale violation of basic human rights in the years leading up to the Declaration of Independence and the start of the revolutionary war, when the British busted into our homes, stole our worldly possessions, taxed us into submission, perverted our legal system and, when we complained, seized and destroyed our weapons of self defense.

The potential number of class action plaintiffs in the two cases which I filed over NSA-gate potentially number over 300 million persons. The masses thus have the legal means to rise up and and hold the Washington establishment rats, which include but are not limited to defendants President Obama, Attorney General Holder, the Justice Department, the heads of the NSA and the cell and internet providers, the agencies and companies themselves, and federal judge Roger Vinson, responsible for their outrageous criminal acts. These cases can be the catalyst which sparks the new American revolution, peacefully and in the courts.

But if the federal judiciary does not hear the legitimate grievances of the American people and take corrective action, and instead seek to protect the Washington establishment rats who put them in power, then it could be 1776 all over again, as the people have been violated and raped, and they demand redress! Coupled with all of the other outrageous abuses of the government and its enablers, which have in the last decades been piling up, and gotten much worse during the Obama administration, the citizenry is more than angry; and it has had it! In the footsteps of our Founding Fathers, the American citizenry want a return to a free country and is prepared to take all just and appropriate measures to restore the nation to its foundational roots before it is destroyed by these arrogant, power hungry and lawless tyrants,” pleaded Klayman.
