With Friends Like These…

As the GOP nominee to be President of the United States, it would seem reasonable to expect that members of your own political Party would support you.

Apparently, for Mitt Romney, that is an unreasonable expectation.

4063581956?profile=originalPeggy Noonan, a former speech writer for President Ronald Reagan (who joined with Colin Powell in turning their backs on the Republican Party while publically supporting Barack Obama in 2008), wrote of Romney’s campaign that “an intervention” is needed  because it is “incompetent”.

Noonan continued: “It’s not big, it’s not brave, it’s not thoughtfully tackling great issues.  It’s always been too small for the moment.  All the activists, party supporters and big donors should be pushing for change.”

She doubled down later, when she said: “The Romney campaign has to get turned around. This week I called it incompetent, but only because I was being polite. I really meant ‘rolling calamity.’”

This is not entirely unexpected from someone who’s credentials were built on being a speech writer for a President who had very little need for speechwriters, who of her own free will turned her back on her political Party to publically support an obviously inexperienced, unqualified, community organizer who was manufactured into a pop star candidate by institutionalized “progressive” leftists in America’s media.  A candidate who had never run a business, never met a payroll…who had voted “present” over one hundred times as an Illinois State Senator.  A candidate who had lived his entire life not only surrounded by anti-American radicals, but who when in school actively sought them out.

The attacks coming from Bill Kristol, editor of the 'Weekly Standard', who worked as chief of staff to former Vice President Dan Quayle, are less explainable.

Recently, Kristol wrote: “It remains important for the country that Romney wins in November (unless he 4063581971?profile=originalchooses to step down and we get the Ryan-Rubio ticket we deserve!).   But that shouldn’t blind us to the fact that Romney’s comments, like those of Obama four years ago, are stupid and arrogant.  Has there been a presidential race in modern times featuring two candidates who have done so little over their lifetimes for our country, and who have so little substance to say about the future of our country?”

When Kristol states that this election features “two candidates who have done so little over their lifetimes for our country” is he honestly comparing a former community organizer (radicalizer) who since moving into the White House has continuously placed obstacles in the path of job creating small businesses, stifled energy development, socialized huge portions of the private sector economy, and created catastrophic  chaos overseas, to a capital investor who succeeded within the American free market enterprise system, saved businesses from insolvency, created jobs, protected the nation from international embarrassment when he rescued the Salt Lake City Olympic Games from bankruptcy, who as Governor reduced his State’s debt without raising taxes while improving their schools to the best in the country?  Or is Kristol just trying to sound important in hopes of remaining relevant?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2206692/Ann-Romney-tells-Mitts-chattering-class-critics-Stop-This-hard-You-want-try-it.html

4063581988?profile=originalIf this can be counted on from Republicans, who needs Kaili Joy Gray of the Daily Kos?

Gray gleefully joins in the “pile on Mitt Romney” festivities, but prefers to first attack the candidate’s wife: “Ann Romney is once again up on her gold-plated cross, and she's got another message for the ingrates out there who don't appreciate how hard it is to be her.

During an interview early this evening with Radio Iowa, Mrs. Romney directly addressed her fellow Republicans who’ve criticized her husband.

‘Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring.  This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country’.”

When Gray does quit picking on the candidate’s MS stricken, breast cancer surviving wife and slithers off to attack Mr. Romney, the following spews forth: “It really is a message that would resonate well if they could just get past some of their biases that have been there from the Democratic machines that have made us look like we don’t care about this community.  But no. You people just won't let up, with the mockery of the Romneys' car elevator; with the questions about all those millions stashed away in secret bank accounts; with the outright disgust at Ann's tales of woe about struggling to survive on Mitt's inherited stock portfolio.”

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/09/21/1134767/-Ann-Romney-is-sick-of-you-people-not-understanding-how-hard-it-is-to-be-Ann-Romney

Gray and Kos have carefully aligned themselves with the class warfare strategy of the White House re-election campaign.

In the final weeks of what is an extremely important tipping point election, possibly the most significant American election since the 1860s, is it really too much to ask for Republican pundits and journalists to at least offer constructive criticism instead of plain old Daily Kos style attacks?

With friends like Noonan and Kristol, who needs Gray?

Unmistakable Patterns of Deceit

New Jobless claims hit the 382,000 mark as once again, more Americans filed jobless claims than was 4063581573?profile=originaloriginally forecast.  It was revealed that six million middle class voters, more than first estimated, will be hit by the tax penalty for not getting insurance under Obamacare.  When the new regulations in Obamacare are added to existing federal regulations, American taxpayer and business costs will increase by $1.8 trillion annually, a number that exceeds the original estimates proffered by the Obama the administration by a factor of twenty.  That means twenty times the original estimates is the correct answer.

Beginning to see the pattern there?

When asked in 1995 to explain his vision of democracy, Obama said:

“I think that recapturing the spirit that existed not just in the civil-rights movement but in the union organizing movement, in the populous movement. I think there is a running thread; one of the better angels of our nature in this country which has been the notion that, you know, we can sit around the table and find common ground and make democracy work in the way that it should be working.  It’s not popular right now to say that, and to believe in sort of a common good, but I think that notions of a common good are the glue that hold our society together and make democracy possible.”

When Obama was asked if he is “willing to stake your political career on your common ground?” he replied “That’s the core of my faith.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=xsobm33ATC0

Is it for the “common good” that the administration and its media lapdog puppets have lied to the American public about unemployment numbers, and the impact and costs of federal regulations, including the much ballyhooed Obamacare?

Beginning to see the pattern there?

4063581530?profile=originalThe U.S. Embassy in Pakistan is under siege.  Protests in Indonesia have forced the American consulate to shut down for a second consecutive day.  In Afghanistan, hundreds have taken to the street chanting anti-American slogans.  In Iran, equal numbers are chanting “Down with the U.S.”

The Prime Minister in Iraq has condemned the United States for an obscure anti-Islamist video trailer posted on YouTube.  The very same video the Obama administration made great efforts to solely blame for what they described as “spontaneous” protests in the Islamist world.  That would be multiple voices at the highest levels of the Executive Branch…for days.

Now it has been revealed by witnesses "that there was never an anti-American protest outside of the consulate [in Benghazi, Libya]. Instead, they say, it came under planned attack. That is in direct contradiction to the administration's account of the incident."

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/report-never-anti-american-protest-benghazi-only-planned-attack_652761.html

It seems an either dishonest or an inept administration misled the public about Libya.

Beginning to see the pattern there?

What gets reported by the “mainstream media”?  The same media found culpable of intentionally misleading the public on important policy matters that affect all Americans?

Thursday morning September 20, 2012 the top headline on Yahoo News: Pawlenty quits as Romney campaign co-chair.

The subtext under that headline: The move came with Romney's campaign struggling with just seven weeks before election-day.

This is a case in point that clearly illustrates unmistakable bias against GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

The article opens by stating that “Tim Pawlenty quit as co-chair of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign on 4063581620?profile=originalThursday to become one of Wall Street's top lobbyists in Washington. Pawlenty, a former governor of Minnesota, will lead the Financial Services Roundtable.”

Notice the phrase “quit as co-chair”.  Why was it not: “resigned as co-chair”?  Note that the article ensures that in the very first paragraph readers are told that the quitter Pawlenty is going to “become one of Wall Street's top lobbyists in Washington.”

How, exactly, do Oliver Knox and Yahoo News know that Pawlenty will “become one of Wall Street's top lobbyists in Washington”?

If Olivier Knox and Yahoo News are truly so proficient at forecasting the future, why are they not using this supernatural power to clue America in on how to solve its myriad of problems at home and abroad?

Of course, since they do not actually possess such abilities, this “ensure Obama gets re-elected at all costs (even costs to whatever remnants of journalistic integrity remain in America)” hit piece is reduced to further efforts to diminish the GOP through hyping the already failed “progressive” spin that “Romney's campaign has been grappling with a video showing him seemingly writing off Obama supporters as having a "victim" mindset and being reliant on government handouts.”

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/pawlenty-quits-romney-campaign-co-chair-132022573--election.html

Beginning to see the pattern there?

Unfortunately for Oliver Knox, Yahoo News and their cohorts within the “progressive” Party Pravda, a CNBC Poll shows that 75 percent of Americans agree with Romney's 47 percent comments.

Obama, “progressives” and their minions within their Pravda lie through their teeth about the true nature, scope and reach of Obama’s failure.  Americans see through their lies.

Beginning to see the pattern there?

Much to their dismay, after November 6, 2012, Obama, “progressives” and their minions within the “progressive” Party Pravda will.

Another Day Another Disaster

4063581391?profile=originalBarack Obama’s foreign policy approval numbers plunged in a recent poll.  This is no surprise at a time when NATO is pulling back in Afghanistan, a move that is heightening doubts about the future of that country.  NATO’s decision, which leaves Obama’s exit strategy in doubt, makes his claims of “progress” in that arena suspect at best.

While the Islamist world raged in the first week of a stark, full blown display of vehement, bloody hatred towards the United States, Barack Obama was jet setting to a party with Jay-Z and Beyonce, where he enjoyed the sight of a lavish 18-foot tall tower of gold French champagne bottles.  That was, until he was obligated to move the party to the CBS Late Show with David Letterman for a conversation that was so important that Obama simply could not find the time to meet with that pesky Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.

Oh yes, without a glimpses of a hint of a shadow of a doubt, Obama is the one and only candidate in this presidential race who is grounded, looks out for and cares for the little guy.4063581454?profile=original

If you believe that, there is an exclusive ocean front property sale happening in Bolivia that is definitely not to be missed.

For the White House and the Obama re-election campaign, another day means another disaster.

Especially when additional evidence of his long term devotion to wealth redistribution surfaces:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge3aGJfDSg4

GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney rejected Obama’s views and policies by stating 'We believe in free people and free enterprise, not redistribution'.  That statement exemplifies how Romney is escalated his attacks on Obama's economic vision.  A vision that has led to two credit downgrades for the United States, long term unemployment for millions of Americans, reductions in wealth and earning power at a time of higher prices at the grocery story and escalating costs for energy.

4063581471?profile=originalThanks to an embarrassingly unprofessional and utterly irresponsible news media, most Americans are oblivious to the fact that the number of able-bodied adults who are dependent on food stamps has doubled since Obama’s illegal Executive Order suspended the work requirement for welfare recipients.

What is the “mainstream media” focused on?

For ABC News, the headline is: Romney Tapes Give Way To The Not-So-Calm After The Storm

Of special note for MICHAEL FALCONE (@michaelpfalcone) and AMY WALTER (@amyewalter) are:

•ROMNEY TAPES GET THE SUPER PAC TREATMENT: That didn’t take long. The pro-Obama super PAC, Priorities USA Action, is quick out of the starting gate this morning with a new television ad featuring footage of Mitt Romney’s candid comments from a private fundraiser that has rocked the political world this week. The script of the ad, titled “Doors,” speaks for itself. A narrator says, “Behind these doors Mitt Romney calls half the American people….” And then the hidden-camera video of Romney finishes the sentence:  ”Dependent upon government, who believe they are victims.” The narrator returns: “Victims?  Behind these doors middle-class families struggle. And Romney will make things even tougher. Raising taxes by up to $2,000 to give multi-millionaires a $250,000 tax break.” And Romney again: “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility…” The group says the ad is part of their $30 million effort to underscore the effects of Romney’s economic proposals, which is underway on television and online in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin. WATCH: http://youtu.be/uaKIeR4Sn3k

•THE ROMNEY CAMPAIGN RESPONDS WITH TWO LUMPS OF COAL: Today the Romney campaign released two new television ads focusing on what Team Romney is calling “President Obama’s war on coal.” According to a release from the campaign: The first ad titled “Way of Life.” In the ad a man says, “My family’s worked in the coal industry for over sixty years. This is the way of life we know. Policies that the current administration’s got is attacking my livelihood. Obama said he was going to bankrupt any new power plants that opened up that’s coal-fired and he’s keeping his promise. I got two young grandsons. I’m scared for their future, let alone mine. I support Mitt Romney.” WATCH: http://mi.tt/S34HBp In the second ad, “War on Coal,” the Republican nominee touts his support for the coal industry: “We have 250 years of coal,” Romney says in the spot. “Why wouldn’t we use it?” WATCH: http://mi.tt/RoxS7W

•REDISTRIBUTION POLITICS: The Romney and Obama campaigns are sparring today over “redistribution” — specifically an audio clip of President Obama from 1998 on the subject. WATCH: http://bit.ly/V99buI Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski sums up the argument the GOP is seeking to make today — and likely for some time to come: “While Governor Romney talks about promoting personal responsibility and hard work, promising to deliver recovery, President Obama believes in redistribution and government dependency.” The Romney campaign has already been pushing hard on this line of attack and there’s more to come today, campaign aides tell The Note. Yesterday Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt weighed in: “The Romney campaign is so desperate to change the subject that they’ve gone back to the failed playbook co-authored by Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber. Fourteen years ago, then-Senator Obama was making an argument for a more efficient, more effective government — specifically citing city government agencies that he didn’t think were working effectively.”

The world is burning, Obama is fiddling, and the “mainstream media”, more appropriately described as the “progressive” Party Pravda, is focused on attacking and smearing the GOP candidate on behalf of the “progressive” in the White House.

Romney Should Not Back Down

4063581092?profile=originalLeave it to the “progressive” Party Pravda (in the form of Holly Bailey and Yahoo News), on precisely the morning they desperately need to change the subject, to magically stumble across a Mitt Romney quote recorded at a closed-door fundraiser earlier this year.

This is a typical “progressive” tactic used to distract attention away from the Obama damaging, bogus explanation for anti-American violence occurring across the Middle East.  A completely implausible explanation created by the White House and propagated by America’s so-called mainstream news media.

Aiming to reinforce the false “progressive” narrative that Romney is an out of touch rich guy, Baily wears her “progressive” bias openly.   She begins her “news story” with:

“Mitt Romney stood by his comments captured on a hidden camera at a closed-door fundraiser earlier this year in which he called supporters of President Barack Obama "victims" and said they are reliant on government handouts.

In a hastily arranged news conference Monday night, he called his words "off the cuff" and "not elegantly stated," but given several opportunities to back off the comments, he did not.”

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/romney-stands-comments-video-says-were-not-elegantly-032830339--election.html

Note Baily’s use of the words “hastily arranged news conference”, an example of propagating the phony meme that Romney’s campaign is disorganized.

These cherry picked comments also further the manufactured “progressive” notion that whenever Romney opens his mouth, whatever he says is a gaff, or is “not elegantly stated”.

In typical “progressive” Party Pravda fashion, Baily misrepresents both Romney’s message and his actual point.

What Romney said was:

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what.  There are 47 percent 4063581140?profile=originalwho are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it."

Romney continued his remarks by stating his job as candidate was "not to worry about those people."

Any fair minded individual capable of grasping electoral reality comprehends why Romney would say his job as candidate is not to worry about going after voters who common sense dictates will vote for Obama.

By the same rationale, Obama would not choose to waste his time chasing after Tea Party votes.

Common sense and logic seem to be vital elements missing in “progressive” “news” stories.  Instead, the “progressives” focused on smearing Mitt Romney for simply speaking the truth.

It is the truth that 47 percent of Americans pay no income tax.  The “progressive” “defense” against this fact is to say those people do pay payroll taxes, sales taxes, etc.  Unfortunately for “progressives”, the hole in their “defense” is; the people who do pay income tax pay all those other taxes too.

It is true that people in America who pay no income tax are not going to be motivated by a candidate who promises lower taxes.  Why would they care about tax rates that have zero effect on them?

Except to favor of increases on others so the government can afford to give them more stuff…

There are an unacceptable number of people in America who are dependent upon government.  Many, if not most, see themselves as victims.  They believe they are “entitled” to “free” healthcare, food stamps, “affordable housing” and welfare payments.  They are being taught by the big-government centrally planned Department of Education that government’s job is to take care of them.

Those who remain unconvinced can watch the official full length version of the Tides Foundation production of “The Story of Stuff”.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9GorqroigqM

It is quite interesting, how the Tide Foundation, funded by George Soros, just happens to be a huge proponent of “progressive” propaganda.  Not surprisingly, whenever “progressive” actions and/or propaganda come full circle George Soros and his ill-gotten billions always seem to be involved.

Romney is not just running against the Obama campaign.  He is running against Obama, the media, Hollywood, academia, George Soros and anyone else who propagates the anti-American “progressive” narrative.

You can bet all the money owed for unpaid American college loans that “progressives” will whine about the Koch brothers.

An Untrustworthy White House

One person was killed and dozens more were injured when protesters attempted to storm a U.S. outpost in 4063580284?profile=originalPakistan.  More flag covered coffins will arrive in the U.S. after four American soldiers died over the weekend as a result of 'insider' attacks in Afghanistan.  There are claims a video shows U.S. Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens being dragged through the streets to the delight of a jeering crowd.  Sudan rejected an American request to send Marines in to guard the U.S embassy.  Hardline Islamist television is openly inciting anti-American violence in Egypt and elsewhere.   Reports are that many of those participating in the “spontaneous” demonstrations are getting paid to protest.  While acknowledging it has elite troops stationed in Syria, Iran is calling for oil prices to reach $150 a barrel.  Libyan officials maintain they warned the U.S. three days before the attack on America’s Benghazi consulate.

There are people who hate America.  The Obama administration is now making excuses for them.  They have apologized to them.  Obama has bowed before their kings.  In the form of foreign aid, they are still trying to bribe them with money borrowed from China.  Despite Obama’s claims that his election would change Islamist attitudes towards the U.S., the people who have hated America for many long decades still hate America.

Still, U N Ambassador Susan Rice and the entire Obama administration continues to insist that it was all due to an almost entirely unknown video: "In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated.  We believe that folks in Benghazi, a small number of people came to the embassy to - or to the consulate, rather, to replicate the sort of challenge that was posed in Cairo."

The Obama foreign policy of appeasement towards those who openly desire to destroy America has failed.  In typical Obama fashion, they have chosen a scapegoat and, along with the obedient lapdogs in the “progressive” Party Pravda, carefully orchestrated a full bore propaganda campaign designed to brainwash 4063580340?profile=originalAmericans into believing their lie.

If the White House insisted that the earth is flat would Americans be expected to blindly accept that too?  Just because Obama said so?  Just because Chris Matthews, Brian Williams, George Stephanopoulos et al dutifully repeated that lie?

Is this who America wants to oversee foreign policy and initialize economic recovery?

In the past month the producer price index jumped 1.7 percent, the biggest gain in three years.  Gasoline and food prices continue to soar.  Gasoline alone rose by 13.6 percent.  The median income of American households has continued to decline, dropping to its lowest level since 1995.  2011 median income fell to $50,054, which is 4.1 per cent below the median income level when Obama took office.

Despite economists’ predictions that initial unemployment benefit claims would rise to 370,000, they rose to a seasonally adjusted 382,000, the highest in two months.  Consistent with a clear and consistent pattern of deception shown since the current administration began, figures from the prior week were once again 4063580437?profile=originalrevised upwards, showing there were 2,000 more applications than what had been originally reported.  This subsequent upwards revision of unemployment claims has taken place with every report since Obama took office.

The jobless rate staying over 8 percent for more than three years is the longest since the Great Depression.  Hiring in America is not even increasing fast enough to keep up with population growth, much less change the outlook for tens of millions of Americans.  “Official” unemployment dropped from 8.3 percent to 8.1 percent only because so many Americans have dropped entirely out of the labor force.  They have given up on the idea of finding work in an economy stifled and smothered by failed “progressive” economic policies.

America is not better off than it was four years ago.  In fact, at home and abroad, America is far worse off.  On all fronts, Obama’s policies have been met with abject failure.

With fifty days remaining before the November 6th election, Americans must make a choice.

The choice is between retaining the failure of an utterly disingenuous, irresponsible, ineffective, excuse making Obama administration, and supporting the promise of a new American revival in choosing strong, honest, reliable, responsible leadership by electing Mitt Romney.

White House: Mid East Attacks Not Premeditated

The attack on America’s Benghazi consulate was not premeditated.

It was all about the video.

So said the White House, so said the State Department, so said U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice:

4063580017?profile=original"Our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous - not a premeditated - response to what had transpired in Cairo.  In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated.  We believe that folks in Benghazi, a small number of people came to the embassy to - or to the consulate, rather, to replicate the sort of challenge that was posed in Cairo.  And then as that unfolded, it seems to have been hijacked, let us say, by some individual clusters of extremists who came with heavier weapons… And it then evolved from there".

Never mind that Libyan President Mohamed Magariaf said the attack was planned in advance.

What would people who live and work in an official capacity within Libya know about what is going on in their country?

How could Americans possibly believe that the President of Libya knows more about what is happening on the ground in Libya than do Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice or Jay Carney?

Those Americans should be ashamed of themselves.

Rather, Americans are to believe that on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks upon the United States4063580053?profile=original no elements of Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood or any other Islamofascist groups within Libya, Egypt, Tunis, or the other twenty odd countries that purportedly simultaneously and spontaneously erupted into violent anti-American hatred, planned to assault American embassies, besiege American consulates, burn American flags, hoist the Al Qaeda flag over the U.S. Embassy in Egypt and ruthless murder American Citizens in cold blood.

Nobody in any of those countries planned in advance.  No groups coordinated the date, the targets, the weapons, the tactics…nope.

It was all about the video.

It was all because of a low budget privately made video posted online by a relative unknown that a slim few had heard of, much less seen.

A video which, whether the White House, the State Department or anyone else within the institutionalized “progressive” left cares to admit, falls within an American’s God given, constitutionally protected Right to free speech.

The administration of Barrack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, Jay Carney, et al are counting on enough American voters being so naive that they will blindly accept any flimsy cover story coming out of the White House.

Of course it definitely helps when everyone save for a brave few souls in the media obediently parrots the "progressive" Party line while hiding, obstructing or completely ignoring entire stories and/or pertinent facts in the process.

It is a pretty darned good bet the people buying this White House cover story concerning anti-American violence in the Middle East also swallowed the equally flimsy cover story about Fast and Furious…hook line and sinker.

Yes, the administration and like-minded members of the self-imagined, self-appointed intellectual “progressive” elite truly believe a sufficient number of Americans needed to re-elect them ARE that stupid, ignorant, sufficiently distracted or simply not paying attention.

Americans have the chance to prove them wrong on November 6, 2012.

White House Fails at Home and Abroad

Why are Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the White House obsessed with apologizing for an amateur 4063579166?profile=originalvideo that no-one had heard of, seen or cared about?  Why are they so obsessed with singing the praises of “a great religion” who’s leaders are the world’s leading proponent for mob violence and mass murder?

In light of the fact that North Dakota State University has been evacuated after a bomb threat, there has been an 'unspecified' threat at Valparaiso University, an Al Qaeda threat has shut down the University of Texas, a mob at the U.S. London embassy burned an American flag, protesters smashed windows and set fires at the U.S. embassy in Tunisia, gunfire was heard at the embassy in Sudan, clashes at the Cairo embassy continue to intensify, why is the current administration so obsessed with telling violent Islamist extremists “we’re sorry”?

As per to the UK Independent:

“According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted….

There is growing belief that the attack was in revenge for the killing in a drone strike in Pakistan of Mohammed Hassan Qaed, an al-Qa'ida operative who was, as his nom-de-guerre Abu Yahya al-Libi suggests, from Libya, and timed for the anniversary of the 11 September attacks”

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/politics/revealed-inside-story-of-us-envoys-assassination-8135797.html

The U.S. federal government, who’s responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of America, even though they had advance warning at a time of tremendous unrest in the Islamist world, failed to protect American embassies abroad on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks?

Now their chorus is “We’re sorry”?

There are people who hate America.  The current administration can apologize to them, bow to their kings, try to bribe them with foreign aid and beg for forgiveness all it wants.  People who hate America will continue to hate America.

Instead of trying through appeasement to make friends with those who want to kill Americans, the United States government should ensure that those who hate America at least respect American might and American resolve.

Since even before his election, Obama has sought to soft sell America to the Islamist world.  He has followed the “progressive” approach that if America is nice enough to its enemies for long enough, its enemies will decide to like America in return.

So far, mass violence has broken out in Syria, Egypt and Libya.  In Libya four Americans have died.  Iraq is cooperating with Iran, allowing the Iranian Islamist government to arm Syrian rebels by allowing them safe passage through Iraq.  Israel is under existential threat because Iran thumbs its nose at the world and 4063579211?profile=originalcomes ever closer to building a nuclear weapon.

The results of “progressive” foreign policies have been at the very least, unsatisfactory.

Since “progressives” believe they should be judged solely on their intent, they are incapable of understanding why America’s enemies have rejected their overtures.  To “progressives” their being judged on the results of their policies and initiatives remains a puzzle.  They remain mystified as to why they are being blamed for the failure of their policies.  After all, “their intentions were good”, therefore it can’t possibly be their fault.

For so long as Barrack Hussein Obama, who’s economic, domestic and foreign policies are all designed to curtail American power and influence at home and abroad remains in the White House, the world’s perception of America will remain unchanged.

Barrack Obama and members of the institutionalized “progressive” left smear machine, otherwise known as 4063578726?profile=originalthe mainstream media, launched a series of seemingly coordinated attacks on GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.  The White House and the press uncannily echoed each other while criticizing Romney for speaking in opposition to the Cairo Embassy’s apology to Islamists for “efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims” on the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.

Obama attacked Romney for having "a tendency to shoot first and aim later".  After firing that salvo, Obama was off to yet another fund raising event in Las Vegas, where he furthered the assault by saying "It appears that Gov. Romney didn't have his facts right".  Meanwhile, Obama’s campaign assailed Romney for using the “tragic death of one of our diplomatic officers in Libya” to “launch a political attack”.

It seems that for mysterious, unexplained reasons it has somehow slipped the minds of Obama and the Obama campaign that he politicized foreign policy back in 2008 by attacking George W. Bush and then GOP presidential candidate John McCain for troop deaths in Iraq and their support of the Iraq War.

Not only have the media and the White House been singing from the same sheet music, a discussion caught on an open microphone and recorded immediately before Romney’s Wednesday morning press conference clearly revealed the press corps coordinating hostile questioning aimed at discrediting Romney and knocking him off stride.

While the White House and the “progressive” Party Pravda were busy diverting the public’s attention towards Mitt Romney and away from the sagging economy, new claims for jobless benefits rose again, while a spike in wholesale gasoline costs drove consumer prices higher.

Economists had predicted claims for unemployment benefits would rise to 370,000.  However according to the Labor Department, initial claims rose to a seasonally adjusted 382,000.  That is the highest in two months.  Consistent with a pattern seen since Obama took office, figures from the prior week were again revised upwards, showing 2,000 more applications than originally reported.

For the first time since the Great Depression, the officially reported unemployment rate has been stuck above 8 percent for over three years.4063578700?profile=original

The producer price index, as measured by the Labor Department, jumped 1.7 percent in August.  That increase was the biggest gain in three years.   Gas prices soared by 13.6 percent.  Steep increases in eggs and dairy costs drove food prices up 0.9 percent.

The median income of American households continues to decline on Barack Obama’s watch, dropping to its lowest level since 1995.  According to Census Bureau data, 2011 median income fell to $50,054.  That is 1.5 per cent below the 2010 level and 4.1 per cent below what the median income level was when Obama took office.

This highlights the extent of the damage inflicted upon America’s middle class by Obama’s failed economic policies.

The killing of Chris Stevens and three staffers in Benghazi, Libya was tragic.  Heartfelt condolences to their 4063578091?profile=originalfamilies and friends are perfectly in order.  However, compared to coverage by international news sources, the way coverage is being handled by the American news media is revealing.

Iran’s Gooya News uses the headline:

America's ambassador to Libya killed in protest of anti-Islam film

Notice how a film considered incendiary by Islamists is featured within the headline.

The first paragraph of Gooya’s story speaks specifically about how the attackers, referred to as protesters, were motivated by an anti-Islamist film made by American pastor Terry Jones.

Following mention of remarks made by Libya’s Deputy Prime Minister Mustafa Abvshaqvr and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the article launches into an aggressive verbal attack on Jones’ film, assailing it as an assault on the Koran and the Prophet of Muhammad.  Objections are raised to the film’s depiction of Muhammad as a child molester.  Ongoing objections concern themselves with Jewish funding of the film.

http://news.gooya.com/politics/archives/2012/09/146923.php

BBC Persia headlines their report with:

The killing of America's ambassador and three of its diplomats in Libya is confirmed

While the BBC headline manages to stay on point by reporting the killing of the American diplomats, the story follows the pattern of Gooya by blaming the attack on the Jones movie.  However, BBC largely stays focused on reporting the news event rather than assigning blame for its instigation.  It defers further comment about the movie until the end of the article, choosing rather to relay detailed statements of condemnation made by Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton and the Libyan government.

When the BBC does mention the movie, it does so in the context of how the film is viewed in Iran.  They report that according to Iran’s government, the publishing in America of a film that insults the Prophet Muhammad is a despicable act.  "The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns blasphemy and hurting the feelings of Muslims."  Iran then warns America: “this dangerous trend of cultural hatred and insulting the Great Nation of Islam is blasphemy".

BBC Persia then concludes by relaying how in the United States, preventing the publication of opinions is against the principle of free speech and protected by the U.S. Constitution.

Yahoo News uses its headline to focus on how Stevens was killed and his record of diplomatic service:

Chris Stevens, U.S. ambassador to Libya killed in rocket attack, served as envoy during revolution

Yahoo commits multiple paragraphs to conveying circumstances of the attack on the Libyan embassy, Barrack Obama’s statement condemning the attack, and details about the diplomatic career of Chris Stevens.

Before featuring Stevens' U.S. Embassy website bio, Yahoo describes how: “Mitt Romney condemned Tuesday's attacks as "disgusting" and "outrageous," but he also attacked the Obama administration for standing by a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo that he claimed was an "apology" for American values”.

Romney later stated it was "disgraceful that the Obama administration's first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks".

Wednesday morning Romney did not back down from his earlier remarks: "It's a terrible course for America to stand in apology for our values.  It's never too early for the U.S. government to condemn attacks on Americans and defend our values. ... When our grounds are being attacked, being breached, the first response of the United States must be outrage".

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/chris-stevens-us-libya-ambassador-killed-142949456.html

Only when attempting to portray Romney as politicizing events by accusing him of “attacking” the Obama administration, does Yahoo even mention Tuesday’s apology, released by the Cairo Embassy apologizing to Muslims for hurting their feelings.

4063578205?profile=originalYahoo never mentions the movie.  How convenient.  When the movie is not mentioned, there is no need for Yahoo to explain away the Cairo Embassy apology.  Since Yahoo publishers chose to omit specific details, there is no need to defend the Obama administration for apologizing (again) to the Islamist world for America.  Out of sight, out of mind, right Yahoo?

An American leader would have immediately condemned Islamists attacks on American Embassies, especially on the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America.

Yahoo News, like other card carrying members of the “progressive” Party Pravda, continues to run interference for the Obama administration, and remains devoted to using their voice in the U.S. news media to ensure his re-election through selective censorship.

Surely Tim Russert is rolling in his grave.

Mr. Phipps Explains Himself, and the Gallows of Effigy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvfU3pAjkSk&list=UU6Gp2cjYMmyt8jegOCII6rA&index=1&feature=plcp

This has nothing to do with racism and nothing to do with the Republican Party.  This was done by one man to bring attention to his personal vendetta.

Naturally enough, as was the case with the Gabby Gifford and the Black Knight shootings, “non-racist” “post-racial” “progressive” Democrats are the first to jump on the “This is exactly what comes to my mind when Republicans talk about "reclaiming our country", "taking our country back", or the good old days” bandwagon.

Expose the lies of the “progressive” left!

“progressive” Parasites

4063576767?profile=originalMembers of the self-imagined, self-appointed institutionalized “progressive” “intellectual elite” have no desire to discuss the reality of what was the most embarrassing DNC since Chicago 1968…can’t blame them.  If they were remotely interested in the truth, they would have already seen the sound wave analysis of the “put God back in the platform” voice vote and know that approving that vote was completely illegitimate.  Saying otherwise is pure, unadulterated propaganda, not the truth.

But, what else is to be expected from “progressives”?

They were booing the reinstatement of God and Jerusalem into the Party platform like good little “progressives”.   They were happy that bho decided against also reinstating the other deleted portions. The two regarding right of return and Hamas.  Or did their “straight shooting” news sources never even mention those?

That is what is best described as typical “progressive” behavior.  Especially from bho…”LOOK AT THIS HAND”…meanwhile, while everyone is looking at the one hand, he is picking pockets with the other.

While everyone was busy talking about the voice count debacle, most people never even noticed that the exhalted “progressive” “leader” managed to throw Israel under the bus while convincing low information voters that he had come to Israel’s rescue.

The only way bho wins in 2012 is with massive “progressive” voter fraud. Voter fraud happens to be the one and only reason Al Franken won in MN in 2008 to become the 60th “progressive” Senator. Without cheating “progressives” stealing that election, America would not now be saddled with the biggest tax hike in 4063576683?profile=originalAmerican history: obama”care”TAX.

The “progressives” do not want to debate the obama"care"TAX either.  After all, it is so much easier to live in denial.  They are going to be truly shocked and extremely dismayed to discover the taxes they will be forced to pay.  Yes, “progressives” will have to pay.  (And to think they are still insulted by being called useful idiots.)  Taxes that the "most transparent" administration in history" and its "honesty in government" legislative co-horts hid from them and their fellow "progressive" lemmings.  As pelosi said: "we have to pass the bill to see what's in it".  If "progressives" successfully steals the 2012 election and the country is stuck with obama"care"TAX, all Conservatives will be able to say to “progressives” is: SUCKERS!!! Don't say you were not warned.

If “progressives” describe Conservatives not wanting government to hand out taxpayer funded contraceptives to women, especially those who can afford to go to Georgetown Law School, or not wanting government to use taxpayer money to pay for the wholesale slaughter of unborn children…if “progressives describe that as being involved in reproductive issues, then they are finally right about something.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

4063576790?profile=originalOnly "progressives" believe that keeping convicted murderers alive while killing innocent, defenseless unborn babies somehow elevates them to the "moral high ground".

They will claim that owners of media outlets tend to be Conservative...and that balances out media bias.  They are obviously deaf and blind or so completely indoctrinated that they believe the Current TV program portraying Rupert Murdock's creation of FOX News as an attack on journalism was unbiased.

It's only natural that 100% biased "progressives" believe, as does their so-called "president", that America only became great AFTER "progressives" saddled the country and ensuing generations with hundreds of trillions of dollars of unfunded liabilities.  The $16 trillion national debt is only what has been borrowed.  Take a look at the bottom of the national debt clock chart and see how much is currently owed in unfunded liabilities like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and obama"care"TAX.

http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Only a "progressive" who "feels" it is "good" to run up that kind of debt would overlook the harsh reality that that is completely unsustainable.  If they are so eager to live in Greece, let then move there and stay there.  Losing the likes of “progressives” to Europe would be America's gain.

Sure, they may have been born in this country; they may even have a birth certificate to prove that they are legally citizens.  But the "progressive" idea of centrally planned big government, where rights are determined by the government, where an oligarchy dictates to businesses, industries and the masses, deemed incapable of governing themselves, is NOT an American idea.  It is a European idea brought to America by the Fabian Socialists from England and the Frankfurt School from Germany.  It's as progressive 4063576697?profile=originalas returning America to the rule of King George.

The American idea, that men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that  to secure these Rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, where the Freedoms and Liberties of each and every individual are a birthright, originated in the 13 colonies.  It is found in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and is explained in the Federalist Papers.  All were written in America by Americans.

Someone either believe in the American idea, an idea that made America the greatest nation in the history of the planet, or they believe in the "progressive" idea, which over the past 100 years has been slowly eroding the foundation principles and economic security of the world’s one exceptional nation.  The only nation ever founded upon an idea.

If you are a "progressive" you are not an American.  If you are an American, you are not a "progressive."

4063576740?profile=originalSince “progressives” are demonstrably incapable of perceiving what is subtly conveyed, it should be put in terms even a "progressive" can understand: "progressives" are parasites.  Their host will return to health and thrive only after the “progressive” parasites are removed and are no longer draining the host's life blood.

May bho and every other “progressive” politician infesting America lose every election, may every biased member of the institutionalized “progressive” left news media lose every job, may every grey-haired, pony-tailed Marxist lose every position they hold in academia, and may every Hollywood Marxist leave America and remain outside America….in perpetuity.

4063575317?profile=originalThe latest Labor Department report shows that job growth in America slowed abruptly in August.  Economists expected payrolls to increase by 125,000, but instead, new hires rose by only 96,000.  That is not enough to keep up with population growth, much less brighten the picture for millions of out of work Americans.  The unemployment rate dropped from 8.3 percent to 8.1 percent, but that was due to the large percentage of the American labor force that has given up trying to find work.

Over the past three and one half years, America’s economic growth has been tepid at best, with a jobless rate that has remained above 8 percent for more than three years.  That is longer than any period since the Great Depression.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/payroll-growth-seen-tepid-may-072622785.html

The latest bad news about the American economy has dealt yet another blow to Barrack Obama’s re-election chances.

When Obama and fellow “progressives” Democrats held un-opposable majorities in the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, they passed a $787 billion stimulus package that they promised would “save or create” millions of jobs and keep unemployment below 8 percent.  They told Americans that if the stimulus passed, unemployment today would be down to 5.4 percent.

Neither has happened.

This is why the disappointing jobs report diminishes the nomination acceptance speech Obama gave at the 4063575290?profile=originalDemocratic National Convention.

After three and one half years of economic stagnation, a minority of Americans still believe a litany of unfulfilled promises recycled from 2008 presidential campaign speeches.

Desperate “progressive” assertions that “It could have been worse” can easily be countered with “It could have been better without all that spending and future generations of Americas would owe a lot less money”  “It could have been worse” hold as much water as “I could have been rich.” Easy to say, sounds good, easy for low information/headline reading/sound-bite voters to remember. And it is impossible to prove.

Democratic “progressives” can go ahead and brush aside their candidate being reduced, at the last moment, to moving his acceptance speech into a venue that is 55,000 seats smaller than the one they originally planned to use.

The fact is, on the 2012 campaign trail, the largest crowd Obama has drawn is 14,000.

Where are the Greek columns? Where are the invitations for Obama to take his tour to European cities? Where are the females planted in the audience, fainting on cue to wow adoring crowds of impassioned, fervent believers?

Can you say phony Beatlemania?

4063575244?profile=originalWhat of the message coming out of this DNC? The only people who believe what was being said in Charlotte NC are the remaining low information/headline reading/sound-bite voters who believed what they were told back in 2008.  Obama having to relocate his speech to a smaller arena shows that today there are fewer “true believers.”

It was a disorganized, mishandled convention where thousands of “progressives”, while on national television, booed reinstating God and support for Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol into the “progressive” Democratic Party platform.

Smooth.

Members of the “progressive” Democratic Party should start getting used to hearing the words: “President Mitt Romney.”

Former President Bill Clinton returned to bask in the national spotlight, giving the Democratic National Convention nomination speech for the current White House occupant.

Not surprising for a speech coming from someone impeached for perjury by Congress, the speech, while delivered with Slick Willie’s signature “I feel your pain” polish, was riddled with falsehoods.

While it would be instructive to do a point by point rebuttal to Clinton’s lie filled rambling, few people have the time to invest in listening to one of Slick Willie’s exercises in verbosity, much less reading a rebuttal of the entire rendering.  Hence only selected portions are to be found herein.

The lies began with: “We think ‘we're all in this together’ is a better philosophy than ‘you're on your own.’”

That statement is a straw man argument, pure and simple.

Conservative Americans point to America’s long history of family, community, church and private charities, not government, successfully tending to the needs described in the phrase “we’re all in this together”.  Only those with the “progressive” collectivist mindset believe relying on the private sector for solutions equates to “you’re on your own.”

Clinton then stooped to a not so subliminal ad hominem attack on Conservative Americans: “It turns out that advancing equal opportunity and economic empowerment is both morally right and good economics, because discrimination, poverty and ignorance restrict growth, while investments in education, infrastructure and scientific and technological research increase it, creating more good jobs and new wealth for all of us.”

In one sentence, he elevates “progressives” to the “morally right” position while lowering Conservative Americans to the level of being ignorant, discriminatory, and in favor of poverty.  Not only is this smear factually unsubstantiated, it is carefully phrased to tug at the heartstrings of “progressive” followers.

What the sentence also misrepresents is that in reality, more Washington spending on education has only reaped diminished results.  Infrastructure spending has created precious few jobs.  Scientific and technological research has been far most productive and successful when done in the private sector economy.  Just ask Silicon Valley, where private capital and the private sector free market, not government, created new wealth.

He then attacked Congressional Republicans with: “When times are tough, constant conflict may be good politics but in the real world, cooperation works better. After all, nobody's right all the time, and a broken clock is right twice a day. All of us are destined to live our lives between those two extremes. Unfortunately, the faction that now dominates the Republican Party doesn't see it that way. They think government is the enemy, and compromise is weakness.”

The “faction that now dominates the Republican Party” does not view government as the enemy.  They view government that promotes government dependency by being too large, too expansive, too expensive, too controlling, too overreaching and too intrusive into the private lives of free American Citizens as the enemy.  They do not see compromise as weakness.  What they understand is that “progressives” are incapable of and uninterested in compromise.  The “faction that now dominates the Republican Party” understands that bargaining with those whose negotiating position begins and ends with “what’s mine is mine and what’s your is ours” is a fool’s errand.

Clinton then returns to a “progressive” staple, the straw man: “In Tampa, the Republican argument against the President's re-election was pretty simple: we left him a total mess, he hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so fire him and put us back in.”

This attack employs the long term “progressive” strategy of repeating the lie that Republican policies created the economic crisis of 2008.

The Glass-Steagall Act had stringently separated commercial banking from investment banking.  Its repeal contributed to the 2008 credit crisis by allowing mortgage back securities to be traded in the investment commodities market.  The “progressive” left loves to blame the repeal of Glass-Steagall on Republicans.   Gramm-Leach-Bliley, the 1999 law that repealed Glass-Steagall, passed in the Senate by a vote of 90-8.  Thirty eight Democrats, including Joe Biden, voted for the final bill.  Bill Clinton signed the bill into law.

Clinton actively favored reductions in housing market standards by government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  He can also be blamed for encouraging bad loans to be made and promoting regulations that incentivized banks to make risky loans to unqualified home buyers through expansion of the Community Reinvestment Act.

The facts show that the 2008 economic crisis was a product of “progressive” social engineering in the American housing market.  The constant repetition by “progressive” politicians that it was caused by failed Republican policies is a flat out lie.

Being able to lie convincingly has always been Bill Clinton’s special gift.  He was in typical Clintonesque Academy Award winning form during his DNC speech.

The story continues: “The Recovery Act saved and created millions of jobs and cut taxes for 95 percent of the American people. In the last 29 months the economy has produced about 4.5 million private sector jobs. But last year, the Republicans blocked the President's jobs plan costing the economy more than a million new jobs. So here's another jobs score: President Obama plus 4.5 million, Congressional Republicans zero.”

The pork filled stimulus bill “saved jobs” in fiscally irresponsible states and communities that without a taxpayer funded bailout could no longer sustain the costs of government sector union pensions, benefits and other wasteful government spending.  It did not create private sector jobs.  Of the alleged “4.5 million private sector jobs” that have been created “in the last 29 months”, most are low paying jobs.  The Survey of Consumer Finances found that median wealth for American families has plunged by 39 percent.  Those same families have experienced an average median loss of $4,000 in income.

The Republicans who “blocked the President's jobs plan”,  a plan that failed in the Senate by a vote of 50 to 49, included Democrats Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Jon Tester of Montana, who also did not support the measure.  The facts show that it was the loss of those two Democratic votes that doomed the plan.

Those tax cuts “for 95 percent of the American people” were cuts in the payroll tax, which funds Social Security.  For purely partisan political gain, those cuts created the illusion that workers were getting a real tax cut while defunding the Social Security trust fund depended upon by retiring Baby Boomers.

Clinton saved his most egregious lies for Medicare: “Both Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan attacked the President for allegedly robbing Medicare of 716 billion dollars. Here's what really happened. There were no cuts to benefits. None. What the President did was save money by cutting unwarranted subsidies to providers and insurance companies that weren't making people any healthier. He used the saving to close the donut hole in the Medicare drug program, and to add eight years to the life of the Medicare Trust Fund. It's now solvent until 2024. So President Obama and the Democrats didn't weaken Medicare, they strengthened it.”

The truth is, obama”care”, a gigantic tax increase on all Americans, that for partisan political reasons remains hidden from voters by the institutionalized “progressive” left, robs $716 billion from Medicare to help pay for obama”care”.  This was necessary because despite all the hidden taxes, “progressives” could not successfully manipulate the numbers to make it appear cost neutral without stealing from Medicare.  The “progressives” then double count that money by saying it is also going to close the donut hole in the Medicare drug program.  Paul Ryan’s plan takes that $716 and puts it in a trust fund that actually will extend the life of Medicare.

Clinton attacks the GOP candidates on a multitude of topics, but the most unbelievable assertion he made in his entire speech is that the current Chief Executive “is still committed to cooperation.”  Barrack Obama has never been committed to cooperation.

On his third day in office, when challenged by a Republican Senator about his plans, replied: “I won.”  He, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid then isolated Republicans from the legislative process by holding their meetings behind closed doors.

Why was it possible for Clinton to stand on the DNC stage and lie about the Republican Congress doing nothing?  Because Harry Reid continues the lock out process, preventing a plethora of jobs and economic recovery bills passed by the Republican House from even being debated, much less voted on in the “progressive” Democrat controlled Senate.

If Americans believe in an all-powerful, manipulative, micro-managing, centrally planned big government run by liars, whose negotiating stance is “what’s mine is mine and what’s your is ours” they will vote to re-elect “progressives”.  In that case, they will be co-signing America’s death sentence.

It is now official.  Democrats will move rock star Barrack Obama's big presidential nomination acceptance speech indoors.   Instead of performing before a crowd of 74,000 in an outdoor stadium, the show will now 4063574237?profile=originalbe put on in a much, much smaller indoor arena.

The “official” line, the cover story if you will, is that there are concerns about rain.  But convention sources disclosed that the real reasons for the switch were fears that many of the seats in the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium would be empty.

The Time Warner arena holds about 20,000 people.  In rock star terms, reducing seating capacity from 74,000 to 20,000 is a significant downgrade.  It sounds like the Rolling Stones being forced to move a concert from the Rose Bowl to the Staples Center due to lagging ticket sales.

It illustrates how the biggesst rock star of the “progressive” Democratic Party is less like the Rolling Stones and more like Spinal Tap.

4063573834?profile=originalIn 2008, when Obamamania was at a fever pitch, filling 84,000-seater Invesco Field in Denver, Colorado was child’s play. But waning voter enthusiasm has led to an embarrassing reduction in drawing power.   So far this year, Obama’s biggest crowd has been 14,000 in Columbus, Ohio.  Last week at a rally in Boulder, Colorado, 13,000 were in attendance.

Gone are the swooning fans, fainting on cue.  Missing are calls to bring his concert tour to major European cities.  The days when Barrack Obama was the biggest rock star on the planet have come and gone.  People are no longer throwing money in his direction.  The days of performing “Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight” are over.  Now he desperately sings “Gimme Some Money.”

Spain’s Present is Obama America’s Future

Although Spain is not as bad off as Greece, a look at Spain’s current economic reality reveals the future of 4063573816?profile=originalAmerica under four more years of Barrack Obama.

Despite European commitments to inject up to 100 billion euros into Spain’s faltering banking system, bank withdrawals have accelerated.  During July, doubts about Spain’s financial system caused Spaniards to withdraw a record $94 billion from their banks.   That amounts to 7 percent of Spain’s total domestic economic output.

Capital flight is beginning to include educated entrepreneurs who are fed up with scant job opportunities in a country with a 25 percent unemployment rate.  Statistics show that in a twelve month span 30,000 Spaniards have registered to work in Britain, an increase of 25 percent over 2011 levels.

Since taking office in 2009, Obama has aggressively promoted a “green energy” agenda modeled after the one pursued by Spain.  The assumption that pursuing the same agenda will bring about different results is 4063573834?profile=originalbased on no known empirical data.

If American voters are willing to accept 25 percent unemployment as the new normal and can live with a combination of major investment capital flight and disappearing employment opportunities, then Obama’s re-election is a foregone conclusion.

However, if Americans prefer to see a resurgence of American economic might through development of its domestic energy resources, and the millions of jobs that activity will create, then Obama’s days in the White House are numbered.

Much has been said in the media about how Paul Ryan is an "extremist”, how he plans to "destroy" the lives of everyday people, especially the elderly.  A lot has being written about how his fiscal positions make him 4063570466?profile=originalhostile to middle class Americans.  After extensive, intensive, investigative research there is now a Top Ten List to explain Ryan’s "unlike-ability."

1. His economic plan will benefit the private sector economy by reducing big government spending and eliminating unnecessary regulations. If only he would slow job growth, cripple the economy and inflict further damage on the private sector by hiking taxes and continuing trillion dollars a year deficit spending.  Finally there would be a plan with which “progressives” could “compromise”.

2. He has a plan to reform and save Medicare. He will secure the future of Medicare with volunteer vouchers for future retirees, thus preserving the Medicare guarantee for current seniors by preventing the bankruptcy of the Medicare system. If only he would put the entire Medicare system at risk by sticking his head in the sand and pretending that maintaining the insolvent status quo is perfectly fine. Then maybe the White House, the DNC and the mainstream media would celebrate him as a hero of the common man.

3. The Ryan jobs plan will invite investments by lowering of the highest corporate tax rates in the world.  His plan to cut those tax rates will stimulate the creation of middle class jobs, enhance and preserve private wealth and reduce deficits by increasing revenues to the IRS.  If only he would raise taxes on rich.  Then America would be more like Europe, causing insulated “progressive” “elites” in academia and the media to rejoice.  Heck, maybe even Sean Penn would join him on the campaign trail.

4. He's a pro-life candidate who believes that “in every life there is goodness; for every person, there is hope.”  If Ryan would just come to his senses and support government funding the systematic slaughter of millions of innocent, unborn babies the largely post-menopausal National Organization of Women would celebrate his “choice”.

4063572384?profile=original5. He will reform Social Security and put it on firmer fiscal ground by ending the current bankrupt Ponzi scheme system and providing future generations the option of controlling their own retirement money.  If only he would agree to big government bureaucrats and me-first career politicians remaining in charge of the money, then they could continue to spend it wildly and stuff more IOUs into the Social Security “lock-box”.  After all, the money really belongs to the big government sophisticates.  Americans are lucky they deem to allow taxpayers to keep any of it.  You did not earn it, they did.

6. He will reduce Pell Grants that have been greatly expanded under the current administration.  His proposal calls for reducing Pell Grant spending to pre-stimulus levels.  His plan will help curb tuition inflation and ensure the aid reaches the truly needy.  If he was only willing to continue the government’s sole proprietorship over college loans, then college students would remain beholding to Big Brother and the Nanny State.

7. His budget retains $40 billion in tax deductions for energy producers, thereby ensuring that they remain capable of researching, developing and delivering affordable energy to all Americans.  If only he would continue using taxpayer dollars to investment in impractical, inefficient “alternative” fuels and “green” energy technologies.  Then the government could continue to redistribute billions to the pockets of big “progressive” campaign bundlers and America could continue to burn corn in internal combustion engines instead of feeding its people.

8. He supports the private sector economy. Not surprisingly, the Koch brothers support Ryan with political contributions.  Too bad he refuses to side with “progressives” in pushing for the growth of big government, the destruction of free enterprise and the elimination of national sovereignty.  Then he could reap huge financial rewards from ner do well George Soros and his ill-gotten billions.  Even if Ryan lost his government4063572277?profile=original job, Uncle George would be sure to find a place in one of the hundreds of anti-American foundations he supports for someone dedicated to the “progressive” overthrow of America.  Just ask Van Jones.

9. He supports traditional marriage. If Ryan would just support adoption by gay couples, same-sex marriage, and repealing "don't ask, don't tell."  Then his positions would align with the demands of a tiny fringe minority.  Movie and television scripts would be written singing his praises.  Perhaps even Alec Baldwin would play the starring role.

10. He believes in private property rights and that entrepreneurs built their own businesses.  Ryan ascribes to Ayn Rand's philosophy of individual success.  If only he would get on board with collectivist thought and support “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”.  Then his election campaign would garner huge support from “progressive” activists and Communists backed labor unions.  Perhaps they would resurrect ACORN to ensure enough dead people, family pets or felons voted to clinch his election.  Then he and Al Franken could have a laugh swapping stories about the naïveté of the voting proletariat.

Paul Ryan’s background, experience and trustworthiness demonstrate that he is a proven leader and a fine citizen who is ideally qualified to become Vice President of the United States.  America knows where he was born, that he will support small businesses and private enterprise, understands the threat posed to America’s unreformed “entitlement” programs, and will not redistribute taxpayer’s money to fringe radical self-separating hyphenated identity victim groups.

America will not like taking some of the steps necessary to recover from a mountain of debt, but someone with Ryan's extensive knowledge of the issues, experience in how Congress works and exceptional, American bred humility knows how to accomplish the task.

Romney, Ryan, Republicans-Ready to Lead

4063571973?profile=originalWith the strong backing of an energized Republican Party and a diverse team of rising stars, candidate Mitt Romney formally accepted the GOP nomination to be President of the United States.

Recalling the excitement and optimism of the presidential race of four years ago, Romney pointed out how those elevated expectations and the bevy of promises that came with those expectations have led to disappointment over opportunities lost:

“Every family in America wanted this to be a time when they could get ahead a little more, put aside a little more for college, do more for their elderly mom who's living alone now or give a little more to their church or charity.

Every small business wanted these to be their best years ever, when they could hire more, do more for those who had stuck with them through the hard times, open a new store or sponsor that Little League team.

Every new college graduate thought they'd have a good job by now, a place of their own, and that they could start paying back some of their loans and build for the future.

This is when our nation was supposed to start paying down the national debt and rolling back those massive deficits.  This was the hope and change America voted for.  It's not just what we wanted. It's not just what we expected.

It's what Americans deserved.”

Romney shared the pain and hardship everyday Americans have felt over the past four years as the result of the current administration’s failed economic policies:

“You deserved it because during these years, you worked harder than ever before. You deserved it because when it cost more to fill up your car, you cut out movie nights and put in longer hours. Or when you lost that job that paid $22.50 an hour with benefits, you took two jobs at 9 bucks an hour and fewer benefits. You did it because your family depended on you. You did it because you're an American and you don't quit. You did it because it was what you had to do.

But driving home late from that second job, or standing there watching the gas pump hit 50 dollars and still going, when the realtor told you that to sell your house you'd have to take a big loss, in those moments you knew that this just wasn't right.”

He then pointed to the morning light peeking over the horizon by reminding Americans “Now is the moment when we can stand up and say, ‘I'm an American. I make my destiny. And we deserve better! My children deserve better! My family deserves better. My country deserves better!’”

Romney then went on a brief autobiographical journey.  He reminded Americans who know him, and 4063572066?profile=originalrevealed to those who do not, that his life has been a familiar American story.  The son of immigrants, whose parents worked hard to give him opportunities they never had.  By example they taught him the value of hard work and enterprise, and the meaning of love.   He met the love of his life, and with her raised a happy, loving family of their own.  He summed up by saying “And that's how it is in America. We look to our communities, our faiths, our families for our joy, our support, in good times and bad. It is both how we live our lives and why we live our lives. The strength and power and goodness of America has always been based on the strength and power and goodness of our communities, our families, our faiths.”

Next, he outlined the story of his business career, where struggles to launch Bain Capital were rewarded by success: “That business we started with 10 people has now grown into a great American success story. Some of the companies we helped start are names you know. An office supply company called Staples – where I'm pleased to see the Obama campaign has been shopping; The Sports Authority, which became a favorite of my sons. We started an early childhood learning center called Bright Horizons that First Lady Michelle Obama rightly praised. At a time when nobody thought we'd ever see a new steel mill built in America, we took a chance and built one in a corn field in Indiana. Today Steel Dynamics is one of the largest steel producers in the United States.”

Romney chose that moment to remind Americans that attacking success is “the centerpiece of the President's entire re-election campaign… Is it any wonder that someone who attacks success has led the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression?  In America, we celebrate success, we don't apologize for it.”

He then reminded voters “That is why every president since the Great Depression who came before the American people asking for a second term could look back at the last four years and say with satisfaction: "you are better off today than you were four years ago."  Except Jimmy Carter.  And except this president.”

Mitt Romney understands that for America to work and for Americans to succeed, they need jobs.  “Lots of jobs,” and how the current administration’s policies “…have not helped create jobs, they have depressed them.”

Romney put American voters on fair notice when he warned them:

“To the majority of Americans who now believe that the future will not be better than the past, I can guarantee you this: if Barack Obama is re-elected, you will be right.”

Romney then outlined his five point plan to revitalize the American economy:

“First, by 2020, North America will be energy independent by taking full advantage of our oil and coal and gas and nuclear and renewables.

Second, we will give our fellow citizens the skills they need for the jobs of today and the careers of tomorrow. When it comes to the school your child will attend, every parent should have a choice, and every child should have a chance.

Third, we will make trade work for America by forging new trade agreements. And when nations cheat in trade, there will be unmistakable consequences.

Fourth, to assure every entrepreneur and every job creator that their investments in America will not vanish as have those in Greece, we will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.

And fifth, we will champion SMALL businesses, America's engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business, not raising them. It means simplifying and modernizing the regulations that hurt small business the most. And it means that we must rein in the skyrocketing cost of healthcare by repealing and replacing Obamacare.”

On foreign policy, Romney criticized the current administration for their failure to slow Iran's nuclear threat, for how they have disrespected allies like Israel and Poland, and sought to appease Russia.  He assured Americans that “Under my administration, our friends will see more loyalty, and Mr. Putin will see a little less flexibility and more backbone.”

4063572028?profile=originalRomney concluded his speech before a cheering crowd and to a standing ovation:

“The America we all know has been a story of the many becoming one, uniting to preserve liberty, uniting to build the greatest economy in the world, uniting to save the world from unspeakable darkness.

Everywhere I go in America, there are monuments that list those who have given their lives for America. There is no mention of their race, their party affiliation, or what they did for a living. They lived and died under a single flag, fighting for a single purpose. They pledged allegiance to the UNITED States of America.

That America, that united America, can unleash an economy that will put Americans back to work, that will once again lead the world with innovation and productivity, and that will restore every father and mother's confidence that their children's future is brighter even than the past.

That America, that united America, will preserve a military that is so strong, no nation would ever dare to test it.

That America, that united America, will uphold the constellation of rights that were endowed by our Creator, and codified in our Constitution.

That united America will care for the poor and the sick, will honor and respect the elderly, and will give a helping hand to those in need.

That America is the best within each of us. That America we want for our children.

If I am elected President of these United States, I will work with all my energy and soul to restore that America, to lift our eyes to a better future. That future is our destiny. That future is out there. It is waiting for us. Our children deserve it, our nation depends upon it, the peace and freedom of the world require it. And with your help we will deliver it. Let us begin that future together tonight.”

With a strong supporting cast, with an energized Republican Party and a diverse team of rising stars behind him, Mitt Romney demonstrated why on January 20, 2013 he is the man best prepared to sit in the Oval Office.

Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Republicans are ready to lead.  It is time for the current administration and their “progressive” allies to either follow or get out of the way.

Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the newly nominated GOP candidate for Vice President of the United 4063570466?profile=originalStates, is the right man in the right place, at the right time.

He understands that his duty as Vice President will be the calling of his generation to preserve for his children and their children the America that was given to his generation.

He acknowledges that the current administration came into office during an economic crisis.  He also realizes that today 23 million men and women are unemployed or underemployed.  He sees one in six Americans living in poverty.  He understands that millions of young college graduates cannot find work and have been forced to move back in with their parents.

He sees that without a change in leadership in the White House the next four years will be just more of the same.

As a Congressman, he has been a front row witness to the wasteful Stimulus spending, the catastrophic government takeover of health care, and the robbing of seven hundred and sixteen billion dollars from Medicare to fill the financial void left in the healthcare law despite all the law’s hidden taxes.

Ryan vowed that “Medicare is a promise, and we will honor it. A Romney-Ryan administration will protect and strengthen Medicare, for my Mom's generation, for my generation, and for my kids and yours.”

As Ryan stated midway through his nomination acceptance speech: “So our opponents can consider themselves on notice. In this election, on this issue, the usual posturing on the Left isn't going to work. Mitt Romney and I know the difference between protecting a program, and raiding it. Ladies and gentlemen, our nation needs this debate. We want this debate. We will win this debate.”

Ryan pledged that he and Presidential nominee Mitt Romney “will get America creating wealth again. With tax fairness and regulatory reform, we'll put government back on the side of the men and women who create jobs, and the men and women who need jobs.”

He confirmed that if elected, the GOP ticket has a goal to “generate 12 million new jobs over the next four years,” and “keep federal spending at 20 percent of GDP, or less.”

On foreign policy, Ryan stated that “a Romney-Ryan administration will speak with confidence and clarity. Wherever men and women rise up for their own freedom, they will know that the American president is on their side.”

In a rousing, crowd pleasing close, Ryan gave the following assurance:

“We will not duck the tough issues, we will lead.  We will not spend four years blaming others, we will take responsibility.  We will not try to replace our founding principles, we will reapply our founding principles.

The work ahead will be hard. These times demand the best of us – all of us, but we can do this. Together, we can do this.  We can get this country working again. We can get this economy growing again. We can make the safety net safe again. We can do this.  Whatever your political party, let's come together for the sake of our country. Join Mitt Romney and me. Let's give this effort everything we have. Let's see this through all the way. Let's get this done.”

Ryan’s speech was vintage Paul Ryan, calm, fact filled, plain spoken and direct.

Congressman Paul Ryan, the Republican nominee for Vice President offers proof that his generation is ready to be handed the torch of leadership.

White House to Blame for High Gas Prices

With Hurricane Isaac’s slamming the American gulf coast putting a temporary halt to oil production and refinery output, consumers can expect to see higher prices at the pump.4063570132?profile=original

Just in time for the Labor Day holiday.

Before Hurricane Isaac came along, gasoline costs were at an almost four month high.  The nationwide average rose to $3.75 a gallon on Aug. 26.  “We expect the national average price of gasoline for Labor Day this year to be the highest ever for the holiday,” said Michael Green, a spokesman for AAA.  Drivers could be paying $4 a gallon by the end of September.

 http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-08-28/gasoline-rising-to-holiday-record-as-storm-surge-pressures-obama.html

Oct. 3 is the date of the first presidential debate.

The timing could not be better for GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney or worse for the White House and its hopes for re-election.

By any measure, the administration should be on the defensive over escalating gasoline costs and the hardship higher pump prices will cause average American families.  The White House has been consistently hostile towards traditional fuel industries, and has persistently sought to curtail exploration, development and production capacity since 2009.

The current administration has actively sought to discourage drilling on federal land.  Since the 2010 BP gulf oil spill it has gone out of its way to stifle offshore exploration.  The EPA has made it a regular course of business to impose costly regulations on the development of oil, natural gas and coal.

4063570168?profile=originalThe White House has wasted hundreds and hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars subsidizing non-competitive technologies.  Solyndra, a solar-panel manufacturer, received a $535 million U.S. loan guarantee, then filed bankruptcy and fired 1,100 workers.  There are many other such examples.

The predictable White House solution will be to release supplies from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.  This will be a typical response from the current administration:  Divest precious national resources in hopes of achieving the desired political result without solving the real problem or offering a viable solution.

Instead of effectively stimulating the American economy by assisting exploration, development and production of cheap, efficient energy, the White House is obsessed with squandering national treasure on inefficient, uncompetitive energy options that are incapable of surviving without a government backstop.

Odds are that the White House will blame it all on Hurricane Isaac…or on George W. Bush.
