Just when you may have thought that the low quality of political rhetoric in Washington could not get any worse, along comes Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer (D-NY) to prove otherwise.

At a pro-choice demonstration outside the Supreme Court, which is considering a Louisiana law requiring doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals, scumbag-Schumer delivered what sounded to many ears like a physical threat to two of the court’s conservative justices: “I want to tell you, (Neil) Gorsuch, I want to tell you, (Brett) Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price.”

Chief Justice John Roberts issued a rare statement in which he said of scumbag-Schumer’s comments: “Statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous.” scumbag-Schumer responded that Roberts is “biased.”

After heavy criticism, including denunciations from liberals such as Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe, who called Schumer’s comments “inexcusable,” scumbag-Schumer took to the Senate floor and offered a wimpy non-apology: “I should not have used the words I used yesterday. They did not come out the way I intended … I’m from Brooklyn. We use strong language.” He added he was in “no way” threatening the justices. He later “explained” he was talking about the price Republicans will pay at the polls if Gorsuch and Kavanaugh vote to uphold the Louisiana law.

If you watch the video, you see scumbag-Schumer turning and pointing directly at the court building. It is difficult to accept either of his explanations.

The left regularly reminds us that words have consequences. They regularly condemn speech from conservative talk radio hosts they claim contributes to everything from racism to violence. But when they spew incendiary language it is fine with their fellow ideological travelers and much of the media. It’s good to be a Democrat.

There is a law prohibiting, among other things, verbal threats against federal officials. It is known in the legal community as 18 U.S.C. (United States Code) Section 351. It states that it is a felony to threaten “all Federal employees … when such threat is done with intent to impede, intimidate, or interfere with” such federal employee “while engaged in the performance of official duties, or with intent to retaliate against” such federal employee.

scumbag-Schumer’s comments clearly were meant to intimidate and even impede the court’s deliberations on the Louisiana law. Otherwise, why did he make them? His fiery remarks were not made on the Senate floor and thus he is not protected by the immunity enjoyed by senators.

scumbag-Schumer also resurrected the “war on women” label that Democrats have used in the past, hoping, no doubt, to scare suburban women especially into voting for Democratic candidates.

The real war on women is coming from Planned Parenthood and the left. Since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, sixty-one million babies have had their lives snuffed out before taking their first breath. Some politicians are fine with allowing babies to be killed when they are fully viable, and even in some cases should they survive an abortion. Forty-one Democratic senators voted against the “Born Alive Act,” a bill that “would have required doctors to provide standard medical care to newborn infants who survive abortion procedures.” The bill did not win a necessary 60-vote majority in order to pass.

Neither does one hear about the many women who have regretted their abortions and say they would have made a different choice had they seen a sonogram of their baby and been given more information about available alternatives.

Shame is something politicians in Washington abandoned long ago, but if it were to make a comeback, scumbag-Schumer’s remarks would be at the top of a list of bad examples.   ~The Patriot Post

Monday was quite a day in Washington. President Trump simultaneously managed two hugely important meetings at the White House. One meeting convened the best medical minds in America. Its purpose was to address the next phase of the novel coronavirus emergency. Just down the hall, a group of our top economic officials met to develop proposals to help Americans suffering from the economic effects of the outbreak.  

I can’t think of anybody I would rather have as president at this time than Donald Trump. He understands what it takes to grow an economy and knows that leadership means relying on experts when it comes to a global health emergency.

President Trump has already shut down travel from China, appointed a coronavirus task force led by Vice President Mike Pence, and lifted restrictions on who can get tested for the virus.

But now we’re entering a new phase in the battle against the coronavirus. And I want to alert you to what’s likely to happen next.

The millions of new tests being administered will inevitably mean thousands more diagnoses. So, it’s likely that over the next few weeks we’re going to see headlines suggesting that the virus is exploding. Don’t panic. But do be prudent and follow the guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  

There’s a silver lining to what will be a tense time. Thousands of people have likely already been infected with the virus but don’t know it because they recovered without ever experiencing any symptoms beyond those associated with the seasonal flu. More than 80% of victims recover without even needing to visit the hospital.

In the weeks ahead, we’ll see more deaths and more self-quarantining. But we’ll get through this, just like we have so many other challenges in our history.

Children at Risk

As many of our long-time readers know, I co-authored a book years ago with my good friend, Dr. James Dobson. It was called Children at Risk, and as the name implies it focused on how left-wing cultural trends at the time were harming our children. Suffice it to say, there are still many left-wing trends that are doing serious harm to young boys and girls.

For example, I read a study the other day that I found deeply depressing. According to new research in England, a growing number of children are suffering from something that didn’t exist until recently — “eco-anxiety."  Yes, you read that right.

The American Psychological Association defined it in 2017 as "a chronic fear of environmental doom." 

According to the British study, 73% of children between the ages of eight and 16 said they were worried about the environment. Nearly 20% said they had nightmares about the climate crisis, and 17% said that "eco-anxiety” has disrupted their eating habits. 

Congratulations, scumbag-Al Gore. You’ve stolen not just Greta Thunberg's dreams and childhood but those of thousands of children as well.

In all seriousness, I want clean air and clean water too. I have grandchildren, and I want them to grow up in a world with a healthy environment. But we are failing as parents if we are allowing our children to become indoctrinated and obsessed with left-wing propaganda. 

Big-government, socialist solutions like the Green New Deal are not the answer. Moreover, the purveyors of climatic gloom and doom have been wrong so many times. I don’t know why we keep listening to these people. 

Sixteen years ago, news reports broke about a “secret report” from the Pentagon warning then-President George W. Bush that climate change was a greater threat than terrorism. 

The report warned of “a global catastrophe costing millions of lives.” It declared that “major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020.” Thankfully, Bush ignored the report.

Last time I checked no European cities were sunk, and Britain looks nothing like Siberia. But it is beyond sad, in fact it borders on child abuse, that so many British children seem to think their future is dreary as Siberia!

I’ll say this much for “eco-anxiety.” It is a sign of their privilege and a testament to the success of free-market capitalism that our children are free to fret about the environment rather than worrying about not having enough to eat or dying from exposure to the elements. 

Something tells me that few children in Siberia or Venezuela are suffering from “eco-anxiety.”

Trump’s campaign team quickly blasted Twitter for its biased and uneven application of its new standard, which it called the “loose lips liar-Biden protection rule.” The Trump camp specifically noted several loose lips liar-Biden campaign videos that are clearly “doctored and deceptively edited” yet untouched by Twitter. “The loose lips liar-Biden campaign is scared as hell that voters will see the flood of unedited and embarrassing verbal stumbles that will continue to go viral if ‘Status Quo loose lips liar-Joe’ is the nominee,” said Andrew Clark, the Trump campaign’s rapid-response director. “Twitter shouldn’t be an enforcement arm of loose lips liar-Joe Biden’s campaign strategy, but if they choose to police every video clip they must hold his own campaign to the same standard.”

In fact, loose lips liar-Biden’s campaign has produced a slew of deceptively edited and manipulated video clips of Trump that clearly run counter to Twitter’s new standard. One in particular truncates and splices Trump’s comments to make him say things he didn’t say. Yet Twitter has failed to label them as “manipulated media.” To any objective observer, it sure seems that Twitter is actively assisting and protecting loose lips liar-Biden.

This news comes as no surprising to conservatives who have long blasted Silicon Valley’s social-media giants for blatant politically leftist bias and active suppression of free speech. Twitter’s refusal to hold both political campaigns to the same standard only serves to once again underscore the fact that social-media giants aren’t interested in fairness or freedom. Instead, they’re concerned only with forcing their perspective onto the entire population.   ~The Patriot Post

Given the mass hysteria that we’re getting from the media, I want to provide some thoughts and analysis on the coronavirus, the economy, and how both may impact the elections.  

But first, I want to offer my condolences to those who have lost family members and loved ones to this new virus. More people will be infected and additional lives will be lost. Those impacted are in our prayers.

The Economy

Yesterday, the government reported that 273,000 new jobs were created in February.That smashed predictions of 175,000 new jobs. And there was more good news. The jobs figures from December and January were revised upwards by 85,000.

Within minutes, the stock market rallied 2,000 points — not. The pre-market was down 780 points and it remained down 780 points. What in the world could explain that?

The answer is not that complex. There were several new coronavirus cases reported in the United States in the last 24 hours, and to frightened investors that cancelled out the fact that 273,000 more Americans were working last month than before.

Yet when it comes to the virus itself, there are reasons to feel cautiously optimistic.

• The spread of the coronavirus in China is slowing.

• Key economic activity is returning to normal.

• In countries with better healthcare systems, like South Korea, the death rate is much, much lower than the 3% figure that has been widely reported.

• Children are not at great risk.

• Thousands of people are recovering every day, but those numbers are not being reported by the media.

• People over 65 are at greater risk, particularly if you have heart disease, lung disorders, diabetes, or other physical ailments.

But along with that good news is the reality that as tens of thousands of people in the United States get tested in the next few weeks, the number of reported cases is going to go up. (And I believe, as a result, the death rate will go down.) We will see the proof that for most people this is the equivalent of the normal seasonal flu or severe cold.

Thank God that Donald Trump, Mike Pence, and their team of free-market experts have been running the U.S. economy for the past three years. The result is that we are going into this health crisis in an incredibly strong position as yesterday’s report of 273,000 new jobs shows. 

If this had happened during the scumbag/liar-nObama/loose lips liar-Biden years, I shudder to think of the economic pain that would have ensued.

The Elections

In a democratic society, what people tend to ask is, “What did you do for me today?” And the coronavirus could have profound effects on the standing of the administration and, whether we care to acknowledge it or not, on the November elections.

In spite of the obscene efforts of liar-Pelosi, scumbag-Schumer, and their media allies to blame the Trump/Pence administration for the spread of this virus, the fact is they have done virtually everything correctly to date. 

In fact, the head of the World Health Organization on Thursday praised President Trump's leadership and handling of the crisis. 

The one area where there was a lag was in testing kits. That was due to an scumbag/liar-nObama/loose lips liar-Biden-era regulation that permitted only the Food and Drug Administration to develop tests for new viral agents. The president quickly repealed this regulation to speed up the development of new test kits.

Sadly, even in a best-case scenario, it is going to take at least another 30 to 45 days to fully know with greater certainty the degree of damage done to the economy and to those infected by this virus. 

Like many viruses, it should die out when temperatures get above 75 degrees for a prolonged period of time. By May and June, the worst should be over. 

In the meantime, virtually every economic report is likely to show a slowing economy, and the election will be only five months away.

My hope is that the administration can make the case that because of its policies America entered this crisis in a strong position and that the suffering was significantly limited compared to what happened in China. 

I hope the American people would realize that because the economy is fragile, they should want the Trump/Pence team growing us out of this, not loose lips liar-Biden and his socialist gang. They are demanding big tax hikes (twice as much as scumbag/liar-Hillary proposed!), the worst possible thing you could do to a nation recovering from a shock.

What Else?

Under this administration’s direction, work on a vaccine is quickly advancing. But what else can be done? 

There is a lot of talk about the need for an economic stimulus program. The president has hinted at tax cuts. But before the virus, the thinking was that they would introduce that idea during the campaign. I think they need to move forward now. 

One possibility would be a payroll tax cut so that millions of Americans would immediately have larger paychecks. Under George W. Bush, taxpayers and families received stimulus checks in 2008. It’s not clear whether that actually worked. 

This idea may annoy fiscal conservatives, but you can make a case for setting up a $1 trillion emergency fund right now and getting that passed through Congress to deploy in whatever area makes the most sense. 

The 10-year Treasury bond is at 0.77%. The inflation rate is 2.5%. In other words, the federal government today can borrow billions of dollars at an interest rate lower than inflation. 

There is no better time to borrow the money to help the economy recover more quickly so that revenues come in more quickly so we can manage the debt.

Trump’s Town Hall

Did you catch President Trump's town hall event in Pennsylvania Thursday night? It was terrific! 

One question posed to the president is something I am frequently asked about — his aggressive style. Asked whether he could take it down a notch or two, the president replied, “When they hit us, we have to hit back. I really feel that … I wouldn’t be here if I had turned the other cheek.”

He’s absolutely right!

As I have written before, it does us no good to lose gracefully. In 2008, rino-John McCain refused to make an issue of Jeremiah Wright. rino-Mitt Romney is a decent man, but the left mercilessly smeared him.

And something else I often hear about is the “lack of fight” in the GOP. Well, Trump is changing that too. The best example is Sen. Lindsey Graham.

I have big differences with Sen. Graham over certain issues. But just imagine how the Kavanaugh hearings would have turned out if Lindsey Graham hadn’t fought back so effectively!

Fortunately, the market appears to be gaining a good bit of that back as we go to press, but stay tuned.

Yet again, the ridiculous Democrat and Leftmedia narrative that President Donald Trump was Vladimir Putin’s puppet is once again refuted by reality. Russia’s actions against Saudi Arabia are in many ways directed at the U.S. and Trump in particular. As reported by CNBC, “It was only three weeks ago that the Trump administration imposed sanctions on Russian oil giant Rosneft for transporting Venezuelan oil. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo believes that in helping Venezuela sell oil, Russia is effectively propping up the Maduro regime. Rosneft is run by Igor Sechin, a former employee and close friend of Putin.” It appears then that Putin’s actions are ultimately a retaliation directed at the U.S. oil industry.

Lower gas prices are great, but this is not good news for the U.S. economy, which has been humming along with record-low unemployment levels and a lot of other good indicators. The bottom falling out of the oil market would produce a much more serious blow to the economy than media-ginned panic over COVID-19. To help prevent a serious economic slowdown, President Trump called on Congress to pass a temporary payroll-tax cut and expanded sick leave. “It’s not their fault. It’s not our country’s fault,” Trump argued in pressing Congress to act on his plan. “The main thing is we’re taking care of the American public.”

Predictably, the Democrats who have been longing for an economic downturn in the hopes of pinning it on Trump have no interest in working with the president.

The Federal Reserve last week announced an emergency interest-rate cut in hopes of combating the presumed negative economic impact of the virus and to stabilize markets. Now CNBC is reporting, “The New York Fed said Monday it will increase the amount of money it is offering to banks for their short-term funding needs. To make sure the funding, or repo, markets are working properly, the central bank said it will up the amount it offers in overnight operations from $100 billion to $150 billion through Thursday.”

Wall Street is obviously worried, but the “oil war” between Saudi Arabia and Russia could be short-lived, especially if Trump reminds Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman who’s had his back in his conflict with both Iran and Yemen and encourages him to pull back on production. In the meantime, if you have any disposable income and some patience, now might be a great time to buy energy stocks.   ~The Patriot Post

“Obviously, the math here is spectacularly off,” says National Review’s Charles C.W. Cooke. “If Michael Bloomberg had divided the money he spent on his presidential run evenly among Americans, we would each have got $1.53, not $1 million. For Bloomberg to give $1 million to each American, he would have to be worth $327 trillion (in cash), which, for context, is around 17 times American GDP and about five-and-a-half thousand times what he’s actually worth. The scale of the error here is galactic.”

This explains why so many Leftmedia “journalists” fail to laugh out loud and call commie-Bernie Sanders on his pie-in-the-sky plans like for Medicare for All and “free” college. The notion that simply taxing the rich more to cover the astronomical costs of these proposed government programs is so absurd that it takes the fantasy-math skills of Williams and Gay to believe it possible.

Furthermore, Williams himself earns in the neighborhood of $10 to $15 million annually. Based upon his  mathematical computation, couldn’t he take just one year of his salary and make 10 to 15 million Americans millionaires?

But what about former Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang’s proposal to give every American $1,000 per month forever? It was a wealth redistribution scheme based on the dubious notion that future automation will eventually so limit the number of jobs available that it will be impossible for the economy to provide enough jobs to meet population demands. It’s not a novel idea, nor is it realistic or even possible, but many have bought into it.

Cooke observes, “If Michael Bloomberg were to try to achieve what Andrew Yang promised … he would be able to give every American about $183 in the first month before he’d have $0 left. To make it through a single month, he would have to be five times richer than he is. And, after that single month, even at five times his current wealth, his fortune would be completely and permanently depleted. Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren’s unconstitutional wealth tax topped out at six percent. Filter Bloomberg’s money through that tax and you get $11 per American per year.”

To put it bluntly, the Leftmedia has absolutely no realistic understanding of how economics or wealth creation works. They simply want the elites in government to control it all and distribute it as they see fit.

“Some 328 illegal immigrants from China have been nabbed jumping the U.S.-Mexico border so far this year, according to Homeland Security data that raises the prospect a coronavirus carrier could sneak into the country via the border.” —Washington Times, March 5, 2020

Today’s Democrat Party is many things. Tragically, one of the main things is having the conviction that America is an inherently racist nation requiring fundamental transformation. Thus when the Trump administration imposed a suspension of entry visas for those traveling from China — as in the epicenter of the coronavirus  outbreak — loose lips liar-Joe Biden once again reminded the nation of his party’s twisted priorities. “We have, right now, a crisis with the coronavirus,” loose lips liar-Biden stated at a January campaign stop in Iowa. “This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia — hysterical xenophobia — and fearmongering to lead the way instead of science.”

Science? During the outbreak of a possible viral pandemic, science is about isolation, quarantines, travel restrictions, and every other effort employed to contain that virus. Science is about realizing that containment and porous borders are mutually incompatible concepts.

Politics, by contrast, is attempting to obscure that reality in service to naked partisan interests. “The last thing that the border states need are infected illegal aliens coming through, blending into the population, and spreading the disease to health care workers, and in poor neighborhoods,” states columnist Daniel Greenfield. “But that’s exactly what the Democrats seem to want.”

It’s not the first time. In 2014, this writer posted a column asking “anyone with an iota of investigative journalistic integrity, in combination with a team of dedicated epidemiologists, to determine beyond a reasonable doubt whether the current outbreak of Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) — which is killing and paralyzing American children — is directly related to the scumbag/liar-nObama administration’s decision to allow 66,000 illegal alien children and their families virtually unfettered entry into America.”

That too was a triumph of politics over science, as the unfettered entry was abetted by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). It violated its own guidelines barring unvaccinated individuals from entering the country. As a result, children with infectious diseases like chicken pox and tuberculosis were given free rein — and the same media that has raised the alarm about coronavirus to a level bordering on overt hysteria remained virtually silent about a virus that killed at least nine children and afflicted 50 more with full or partial paralysis.

“During the peak of the humanitarian crisis, we were apprehending around three Chinese nationals per day. This year we are seeing approximately five per day,” stated former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach in a recent interview. He further noted that in the last year “there was an 85% increase … in the number of Chinese nationals sneaking in the country illegally over the southern border.” That number, he says, is “estimated upwards of 12,000 a year.”

The word “estimated” should infuriate every sentient American concerned about a viral epidemic. According to a 2017 Homeland Security report, 55% to 85% of those attempting to illegally cross the border were apprehended or interdicted in 2016. In a better nation, a 30-point spread would be embarrassing. In this one it has led to a promise by both Sanders and Biden to provide a “pathway to citizenship” for the 11 million illegal immigrants currently residing in America.

Unfortunately, that too is an estimate. A research study  led by Mohammad M. Fazel-Zarandi, a researcher at Yale and MIT, pegs the number of illegals residing in the United States at somewhere between 16.5 million and 29.1 million.

Regardless, this nation has endured a wholesale invasion of illegal aliens for decades. It is an invasion that serves the interests of both political parties, each of whom had control of the White House and both chambers of Congress for two years (Democrats from 2009-2010 and Republicans from 2017-2018) and did absolutely nothing to stem the flow.

And let’s not forget our activist judiciary. In the midst of a viral outbreak, a three-judge panel from the left-leaning Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals blocked the Trump administration’s efforts to keep asylum seekers in Mexico while their claims are being processed. They also ruled that Border Patrol agents must process claims for illegal border crossers.

That ruling was stayed, but during a House Homeland Security Committee meeting on March 3, Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf was chastised by Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) for making a connection between illegal immigration and the coronavirus, even though as of that date Mexico had five confirmed and 21 possible cases. “You were not, surely, suggesting that the problem that we are seeing in this country with the coronavirus is the result of — or was caused by undocumented immigrants coming across the south border. Is that what you’re saying?” Demings asked.

How would one know for certain, Mr. Demings? Moreover, what — exactly — are you and your party willing to risk for the sake of pursuing a political agenda that makes a complete mockery of the Rule of Law?

Greenfield knows the answer. “The Democrats want open borders for drug cartels, human traffickers, and the coronavirus,” he writes. “And if the outbreak and its financial repercussions improves their political prospects, then it’s a win-win situation. When the coronavirus spreads, when our economy shakes, then the Democrats win.”

In other words, we now have a major political party so consumed by a combination of Trump hatred and bankrupt ideology that its leaders would countenance possibly the most damning Pyrrhic victory in the history of mankind.

Coronavirus will ultimately wane. The Democrat Party’s ideological bankruptcy is enduring.

However, a colleague recently mentioned the “amusing similarity” between an almost-40-year-old work of fiction and the facts about WuFlu – a case of life imitating art. I don’t read novels, but do any of you thriller readers remember the “Wuhan 400” virus Dean Koontz described in his 1981 novel, The Eyes of Darkness?

Koontz writes about “a Chinese scientist named Li” who discloses a “record of China’s most important and dangerous new biological weapon.” Koontz continues: “They call the stuff ‘Wuhan-400’ because it was developed at their RDNA labs outside the city of Wuhan and … Wuhan 400 is a perfect weapon. It afflicts only human beings…”

Koontz, like most good fiction writers in the Tom Clancy tradition, weaves lots of facts into his novels.

And that brings me to our comprehensive resource page, “The Flu and You,” and our footnote: “Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is not suggesting that COVID-19 was bio-engineered and then intentionally released, but he did make this connection: ‘We don’t know where it originated, and we have to get to the bottom of that. We also know that just a few miles away from that food market is China’s only biosafety level 4 super laboratory that researches human infectious diseases.’”

Here are the facts.

Located near the Wuhan market where COVID-19 is thought to have been first contracted is Red China’s only P4 (Pathogen Level 4) super laboratory “researching” infectious diseases. The Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory at the Wuhan Institute of Virology is engaged in research on the Ebola, Nipah, and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever viruses among other deadly pathogens, including coronavirus variants. The institute has clear ties to the PRC’s bioweapon programs.

Second, in January, the communist Chinese directorate of disinformation — the “Information Department” of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs — began seeding Chinese social-media networks with rumors that the WuFlu virus was actually developed by the U.S. and deliberately released in Wuhan. Our sources in the intelligence community conclude that such disinformation is designed to help the Central Politburo of the Communist Party of China counter and deflect any claims by the World Health Organization or the U.S. that the current coronavirus release is associated with the PRC’s P4 labs in Wuhan.

Oh, and one more thing about Koontz’s novel: The actual Chinese physician who blew the whistle on coronavirus — and is now dead — was named “Li.”

Speaking of voter enthusiasm, loose lips liar-Biden’s big Super Tuesday has most watchers concluding that he will be the eventual Democrat nominee, leading naturally to political pundits pontificating about a running mate. loose lips liar-Biden has certainly scored the most endorsements, as all of the most competitive candidates that dropped out eagerly lined up to endorse him. That excludes Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren, who we assumed would throw her support behind her ideological comrade commie-Sanders, but she has somewhat surprisingly refrained. Maybe her accusation of commie-Sanders calling her a liar on national TV stung more deeply than many assumed.

Meanwhile, some pundits have made hay over a slip of the tongue by Amy Klobuchar over the weekend. While offering a hardy endorsement of loose lips liar-Biden, she appeared to say she was joining “the ticket.” It may very well have been little other than her misspeaking, but there is near-universal consensus that loose lips liar-Biden will choose a woman as his running mate, and Klobuchar could theoretically help him in the Rust Belt and most certainly in Minnesota.

lowlife-Kamala Harris has thrown her hat in the ring for a loose lips liar-Biden ticket with her endorsement over the weekend. Obviously, she waited to voice her allegiance until the most opportune moment — when it appears that loose lips liar-Biden is on the cusp of securing the nomination. She checks both the female and minority boxes and therefore may have a leg up on Klobuchar, but it’s not clear that lowlife-Harris delivers any constituency that loose lips liar-Biden doesn’t already have.

Yet, irrespective of who loose lips liar-Biden chooses as a running mate, his biggest hurdle is likely himself. As we have previously noted, and as many Democrats have quietly observed, loose lips liar-Biden is looking old. loose lips liar-Biden has always been “gaffe prone,” but it’s clear to everyone watching that his best days are behind him, that his political form has slipped.

This may be why scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton has thus far pointedly refused to endorse him while releasing a documentary series about herself. For one thing, she may view his campaign as a sinking ship she’d rather not be on when he gets overwhelmed in a Trump victory wave. Secondly, she may be holding out faint hope that loose lips liar-Biden, at 77, doesn’t make it to the convention and she will be there standing in the wings to “save” the Democrats from commie-Sanders. This is obviously a long shot, but it’s also likely scumbag/liar-Clinton’s last opportunity for a shot at the presidency.

In any case, tomorrow’s primaries should make it clearer whether commie-Sanders is able to mount any kind of a comeback or if loose lips liar-Biden has the nomination wrapped up.   ~The Patriot Post

Everyone talks about the power of the Republican and Democrat party establishments.

It’s real — just ask commie-Bernie.

He quickly found out how powerful the Democrat establishment is this week when Mayor socisalist-Pete and Amy Klobuchar both called it quits just in time to help loose lips liar-Joe Biden rack up some impressive primary wins on Super Tuesday.

commie-Bernie Sanders is a socialist, an outsider.

Outsiders always have a tough time. But good, likable candidates like my father in 1980 can defeat the party establishment.

commie-Bernie isn’t exactly likable, but he was looking pretty strong there for a while — almost unstoppable.

He had a lot going for him.

Big, energetic crowds. A clear and unchanging message calling for bigger government, radical economic change and social justice. Lots of campaign money rolling in. Friendly coverage by the liberal mainstream media.

But his big mistake — the one that caused Democrat power brokers to quickly crush him just as he seemed to be cruising to the nomination — was when he went on “60 Minutes” and staunchly defended Fidel Castro’s literacy and educational programs.

The Democrat establishment woke up and said, “Whoa, wait a minute. We just lost Florida in the fall.”

commie-Bernie had to know that with half a million Cubans living in Miami, a presidential candidate in a general election who says nice things about Cuba’s communist government is committing political suicide.

But “principled” commie-Bernie couldn’t help himself.

He’s a living ideological relic of the 1960s, when leftists like him excused, justified and even applauded the oppressive, impoverished and primitive dictatorships of Cuba and the Soviet Union.

Half a century later, with the USSR’s evil empire long gone and Eastern Europe free, commie-Bernie still actually believes all that 1960s leftwing claptrap.

He’s one of the reasons the Cold War lasted so damn long.

When the Democrat bigshots heard commie-Bernie praising his hero Fidel — and stubbornly refusing to pull it back — it scared the bejesus out of them.

Biden was getting weaker and goofier every day, but to the party establishment he was suddenly again looking like their only hope to beat Trump.

By then Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota and Washington will have held their March 10 Democrat primaries and half of all delegates will have been chosen.

loose lips liar-Biden and commie-Bernie will debate one-on-one for two whole hours — if the old coots can last that long.

Both of them are going to need extra doses of vitamin B-12. Instead of water on his podium, loose lips liar-Biden will be swigging Red Bull.

Whoever wins their debates, commie-Bernie is never going make the Democrat establishment happy by obediently dropping out of the race like Mike Bloomberg and the others did.

That means it’s going to be hot and nasty at the Democrat National Convention in Milwaukee this July.

If loose lips liar-Biden wins the nomination, according to the Democrat establishment’s plans, the party’s big problem will be getting commie-Bernie’s young army of left-wingers to get out of bed and vote for loose lips liar-Biden on Election Day.

Good luck with that.

In the general election, no matter which woman he picks as his VP, old loose lips liar-Joe Biden and his stale, “moderate,” leftover scumbag/liar-nObama-era policy ideas will be a longshot to beat Donald Trump.

But the Republican Party and the Trump campaign better be careful.

Voters don’t always vote on policy. They often vote on personality — “Do I like you?”

First, some reliable medical perspective…

I have several longtime and trusted friends whom I have consulted over the years on potential epidemic issues. They are career disease specialists and former military physicians who understand the government response context, and who have now been in private practice for decades. Collectively, they agree on the following assessment at this point.

The key issues are that COVID-19 is contagious prior to symptoms, the incubation period appears to be longer, and we don’t yet have effective antiviral therapy or a vaccine — hopefully coming soon. These are the obvious reasons why the non-medical impact will be significant, and why it is going to be more difficult to contain.

They note further that mortality rates with past flu epidemics have varied widely, especially with regard to age groups, so it’s difficult to compare overall mortality statistics. We don’t yet have a firm understanding of the mortality implications although it could be as high as 3.4%. For numerous reasons, COVID-19 is not as bad as the 1918 influenza epidemic or, more recently, the SARS outbreak. But it will likely be worse than H1N1 in older adults but not kids.

They note we don’t know the extent of the disease spread because, until the last 10 days, testing protocols have delayed our active surveillance of the spread. Like all virulent seasonal flu outbreaks, it will spread nationwide — and likely already has. The daily “dramatic spread” media reports are because we are only now testing for it. Whether this will cost more lives than the worst year on record in the last decade (63,000 U.S. deaths)? It may.

Second, President Donald Trump canceled his visit to the CDC today after signing the $8.3 billion congressional spending bill.

An unfortunate un-presidential “stream of consciousness” yesterday provided yet another opening for Democrats to politicize the outbreak and condemn Trump. In an interview, Trump stated, “I think the 3.4% [death rate] is a false number. Now, this is just my hunch… If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better, just by sitting around and even going to work, some of them go to work, but they get better and then…”

NO! The hard and fast rule in our Patriot Post publishing house is — and should be in any business — if you are sick, STAY HOME.

Mike Pence is handling this well — the president needs to stop talking “hunches” and stop repeating that there are just a few deaths and serious illnesses. The fact is, like most flu outbreaks, there are potentially going to be thousands of deaths and millions of infections. As I noted last week in our “Coronavirus Reality Check,” the current U.S. flu season has already resulted in 29 MILLION diagnosed cases, 280 THOUSAND hospitalizations, and more than 16 THOUSAND deaths. COVID-19 is going to result in many more infections and deaths than it has so far.

For disgraceful Democrat Party leaders to use deaths and illnesses as political fodder should be met with condemnation from ALL quarters.

Third, in a very uniformed analysis in the otherwise-reliable Washington Examiner, Adam Smith Institute Fellow Tim Worstall chastised Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) for his condemnation of Amazon for allowing “price gouging,” rapid price increases of products (10X and more) on the basis of the current pandemic fear. According to Worstall, “The high prices will make sure that those who really want and need the supplies are the ones who get them.”

It is truly mind-numbing, Beltway-detached logic to suggest that $399 for a couple bottles of Purell hand sanitizer ensures that an elderly person with limited income and at greatest risk of death will have access to it.

For the record, 34 states have laws against price gouging in emergencies, and the Supreme Court has rightly upheld those laws once emergencies have been declared. Currently, Washington, California, Maryland, and Florida have declared states of emergency related to coronavirus.

What Worstall should have pointed out is the irony that Demos are complaining about price gouging at the same time they and their Leftmedia outlets are fomenting the panic.

This sounds like standard presidential lip service, but with one big difference: The Trump administration has real statistics to back up his claims.

For example, during his first year in office, the president  directed $200 million in technology education grants to women and minorities in order to promote tech-based careers and resolve the concern over gender inequality in that industry. And let’s not forget this president’s support  for the pro-life movement. Trump has a stellar record of appointing pro-life judges, has boldly condemned legislation that allows abortion throughout pregnancy, and earlier this year became the first president to attend the March for Life.

As for those parents already with children, Trump and the Republican Congress expanded the child tax credit in his first year, which doubled the per-child credit for middle-income families.

And with likely Democrat nominee Joe Biden already having pledged to eliminate Trump’s tax cuts for families, we’ll have a clear contrast between a pro-family president and an anti-family challenger.

What else has the Trump administration done for women’s progress?

In 2019, first daughter Ivanka Trump revealed the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative. Joanne Lu writes that the program “aims to get all U.S. foreign assistance agencies — including the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Peace Corps and six others — to give top priority to push for women’s economic development.” In addition, “it sets up a $50 million fund for USAID to invest in new programs that can help make it easier for women to find jobs, start their own businesses and do business.”

Sure, these policies all sound good, but are there real numbers to back up Trump’s efforts?

One of the more noteworthy developments during Trump’s first term is the significant drop in female unemployment. As of this week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the unemployment rate for women is at 3.5%, the lowest number since 1953. The bureau also reports that the U.S. economy has not only added more than four million jobs for women since Trump’s election, but also more than 58% of the 7.1 million jobs added have gone to women.

All this makes for an impressive record to run on in November — especially with suburban women, a constituency that went strongly for Democrats in the 2018 midterms.   ~The Patriot Post

President Trump was rightly critical of the deal struck with Cuba during the scumbag/liar-nObama administration when he said the communist Cuban government got everything they wanted, and the U.S. got nothing in exchange. He has thankfully been reversing some of those unilateral concessions.

Let’s apply his standard to the recently announced “peace deal” with the Taliban. Under terms of the agreement, as reported in The Washington Times, “The U.S. will free 5,000 Taliban prisoners and begin to remove sanctions on top Taliban leaders.”

What does the U.S. get in return? The agreement, reportedly, asserts that we start calling them the Islamic Emirate, even though the U.S. doesn’t recognize it as a state. They have agreed to release “1,000 people from ‘the other side’ held by the militant group, all before March 10.”

Also in exchange for removing U.S. troops from Afghanistan, a goal long sought by the president, the Taliban has agreed to permanently cut all ties with terrorist groups, including al Qaida, and to never allow Afghanistan to again become the center for extremist organizations. How do they do that when they have been involved in terrorism — some of it supported by the Iranian regime — that has caused the deaths of many American troops?

Beginning March 10 in Norway, the Taliban also pledges to engage in formal talks with the Afghan government, which it has never recognized as legitimate. I’m betting the Nobel committee will hand out a “peace prize” to Taliban leaders in the final corruption of that once prestigious award (they also gave one to PLO terrorist leader Yasser Arafat).

The president is right that nearly 19 years after al Qaida’s terrorist attack on America, the nation, not to mention brave American soldiers who have suffered through multiple deployments and family absences, are tired of the conflict. The late al Qaida leader Osama bin Laden was also right when he predicted U.S. battle fatigue would occur in Afghanistan and used Vietnam as an example. And many people are correct when they say America cannot police the world. So, who will in our absence?

In a statement released by her office, House GOP conference chair, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo), expressed the skepticism many feel when she said, “Releasing thousands of Taliban fighters, lifting sanctions on international terrorists, and agreeing to withdraw all U.S. forces in exchange for promises from the Taliban, with no disclosed mechanism to verify Taliban compliance, would be reminiscent of the worst aspects of the Obama Iran nuclear deal.”

A telling picture at the signing ceremony between two Taliban and one American official saw the Taliban members smiling and the American looking sober. Yet the agreement is already being tested. BBC News reports that the Taliban is set “…to resume attacks against government forces, just days after signing a deal with the US aimed at bringing peace to Afghanistan.”

The key in all this is whether other nations, especially those which have faced — and still face — terrorist attacks will meet their responsibilities in helping to police this deal. The worst outcome would be a regrouping of terrorists in Afghanistan and another attack on the United States, which next time might result in more deaths then occurred on Sept. 11.

Guess which president would be blamed should that occur?

“If they want to give more, we’ll do more,” President Donald Trump said last week. “We’re going to spend whatever is appropriate.”

The Wall Street Journal reports, “The agreement came as the total number of people in the U.S. with the virus reached 153, with 11 deaths linked to coronavirus, as of Wednesday afternoon. Ten of the U.S. fatalities have been in Washington state. World-wide, more than 90,000 people have contracted the virus, and more than 3,000 have died.”

Despite the appearance of agreement, however, partisanship reigns. “Lives are at stake,” liar-Pelosi lectured last Thursday. “This is not a time for name-calling or playing politics.” Yet playing politics is exactly what Democrats have done. Rather than push through funding liar-Pelosi thought was adequate, she deliberately delayed working on a package to allow the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee time to run ads ahead of Super Tuesday attacking Republicans for not “doing something.”

Such cynicism is, unfortunately, par for the course with Democrats, who, as Rahm Emanuel so infamously put it, “never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve took the emergency step of cutting interest rates to try to stabilize the stock market. It doesn’t seem to have worked, as this week’s market rollercoaster ride reveals. Trump has pitched a temporary payroll tax cut, as well, which we estimate will have virtually no effect — it didn’t when Barack scumbag/liar-nObama tried it — because it would be temporary. The better course is for the administration task force to continue its work to take serious and appropriate measures to contain the spread of the virus without creating or worsening panic.

It’s always important to keep things in proper perspective. That is particularly important as the nation grapples with the fallout from the novel coronavirus, which has infected 100 Americans and killed six people. Sadly, more people died Monday night from the tornadoes that ripped through Tennessee.

But just so you know, the yearly flu has already infected at least 32 million Americans and caused 310,000 hospitalizations and 18,000 deaths.

The left’s delusional reaction to the coronavirus is more of a public threat than the virus itself. Seriously, friends, let’s just look at how the left has responded to this crisis.

• When President Trump imposed travel restrictions on China, the left accused him of xenophobia. Monday, Dr. Deborah Birx, one of the nation’s top medical experts, said that the travel restrictions “bought us time and space” to combat the virus.

• When the president created the Coronavirus Task Force, the left complained that it was “too white” and “too male.”

• The left accused the president of muzzling medical experts. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told reporters over the weekend, “I’ve never been muzzled and I’ve been doing this since Reagan.”

• The left accused the president of calling the coronavirus a “hoax.” Even liberal fact checkers  have rejected that accusation as false.

• The left accused the president of gutting the budgets of vital health-related agencies. That too was false.

• The left even mocked the administration for praying, which is what decent people do.

Once again, it’s obvious that the left views everything — yes, even a virus — through a warped, ideological lens. Just think about that for a moment. 

If there’s a potentially dangerous virus spreading around the world, the left would refuse to secure the borders. It would demand that experience and expertise take a back seat to racial quotas. It would lie about basic facts and mock people for seeking God’s wisdom and mercy.

Is that really the kind of government we want? Just something to remember in November.

By the way, a recent Gallup survey found that 77% of Americans are confident in the government’s ability to address the coronavirus situation. That confidence level is significantly higher than previous outbreaks involving the bird flu, the swine flu, and Ebola.

Assaulting Your Rights

Did you catch Michael Bloomberg on the Fox News town hall Monday night? I’m not sure why Fox gave him a platform for his far-left views, but I was pleased to see one of the attendees blast Bloomberg for his hypocrisy. 

Bloomberg is known for bankrolling radical anti-Second Amendment efforts around the country. Those efforts have elected hundreds of far-left Democrats. Yet, the former mayor travels with an armed security detail. The questioner pointedly asked Bloomberg, “Does your life matter more than mine or my family’s?”

Bloomberg’s response was dripping with condescension and entitlement. He made it clear that he was worth far more than the questioner, and as a former politician he does get death threats. 

But he claimed that the only restrictions he supports are laws to prevent the sale of firearms “to people with psychiatric problems, criminals, or people [who] are minors.”

Well, there are already laws on the books to address all those things. But stopping kids from buying guns has nothing to do with the radical left-wing agenda he’s funding and enabling. 

Michael Bloomberg is no “moderate.” He’s just another lying left-wing politician.

What About Fox?

It is really irritating to see that Fox News has joined every other media outlet in labeling commie-Bernie Sanders as “left wing” while describing his primary opponents as “moderate.”

I heard it Monday night as Fox covered loose lips liar-Biden’s Texas rally with socialist-Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, and socalist-Beto O'Rouke. 

As I have noted before, but it evidently bears repeating, there's NOTHING moderate about any of these Democrats.

All of them support scumbag/liar-nObamacare or some form of government-run healthcare.

All of them support abortion on demand.

All of them support the demands of the radical homosexual/transgender movement.

All of them support open borders. Even free healthcare for illegal aliens. 

All of them support the radical Green New Deal.

None of them are “moderate.” And you don’t have to take my word for it.

• This media analysis found that loose lips liar-Joe Biden’s platform is more liberal than scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s.

• The Washington Post editorial board recently declared, “No, socialist-Pete Buttigieg and loose lips liar-Joe Biden are not ‘centrists.’”

• Axios wrote that loose lips liar-Biden and socialist-Buttigieg “have taken positions to the left of Barack scumbag/liar-nObama — illuminating the liberal drift of the entire party.”

Speaking of Fox News, I assume the network will be canceling Donna Brazile's contract after her outrageous outbursts yesterday. During a segment on Super Tuesday, Brazile repeatedly told RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to “go to hell." Fox would never tolerate any conservative commentator talking to Brazile that way.

Speaking of Elections…

Israelis went to the polls Monday for their third national election in less than a year. While ballots are still being counted, initial results look promising for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

A spokesman for Netanyahu’s Likud Party told reporters, "The country had its say. The people want a nationalist government under Netanyahu.” At the moment, the conservative-religious bloc appears to control 58 seats in the Knesset, just shy of the 61 votes needed to form a government. 

Getting Tough on China

Monday, the Trump administration imposed a cap on the number of employees that five of China’s state-owned propaganda outlets could have in the U.S. As a result of this employee limit, 60 Chinese nationals are effectively being expelled.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said, “As we have done in other areas of the U.S.-China relationship, we seek to establish a long-overdue level playing field… We urge the Chinese government to immediately uphold its international commitments to respect freedom of expression, including for members of the press.”

As Secretary Pompeo noted, the Trump administration is aggressively rebalancing our relationship with China. And the American people are noticing. For the first time in decades, more Americans now see the United States, not China, as the world’s leading economic power.
